  7. Let's wave those bibles around Livestream audience.

  8. I hope you're as blessed as we were watching this.

  9. Let's wave our bibles around.

  10. Make Jesus glad the devil mad.

  11. Let's say this together as a heavenly Father, I'm glad to be here today.

  12. I have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to me.

  13. I'm not listening for somebody else.

  14. I'm not going to say, oh, I wish so and so was here.

  15. I'm here.

  16. I'm here to hear with the Word of God and I will be a doer of it In Jesus' name, amen.

  17. Let's turn in our Bible Romans, chapter 8.

    Romans 8 chapter mention

  18. And I will continue with, probably just today.

  19. Following the Holy Ghost is what we've been talking about, and we had an illustrated sermon already, because all these people that came up, they followed the Holy Ghost right here to Gloria's Way.

  20. Sometimes people don't know it.

  21. You know, they know it's the Holy Ghost, but they don't know how.

  22. So that's the advantage of this teaching will help you identify the leading.

  23. Everybody say identify the leading Romans, chapter 8, verse 14, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

    Romans 8:14

  24. Now, how many of you believe that's true?

  25. Because it's in the Bible, isn't it?

  26. So if it's true, then you can turn that sentence around and say as many as are sons of God, they are led by the Spirit of God.

  27. Is that true?

  28. Because it is true.

  29. So then everybody say because I'm a child of God, the Bible says I'm led, I'm not going to be led, I might not, might be led.

  30. It says I am led.

  31. See, you got to get that down in your spirit.

  32. You're being led all the time, you're being led.

  33. The question is are you following or are you identifying his leadership?

  34. That's the question, and it does take faith, it takes walking by faith, and faith, of course, is based on what Revelation.

  35. So I'm going to share Bible truth with you today to grow your spirit enough to where you can be more consistent in your identification of his leadership, amen.

  36. And then it says in verse 15, for you've not received the spirit of bondage again, the fear, but you've received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, really, literally, daddy, papa, da-da, really, to get it down to basics da-da.

  37. That's the spirit, and it was what the spirit himself bears witness, with our spirit, that we're children of God.

  38. So that baby talk da-da, mama, papa.

  39. That was the witness.

  40. You got saved and you know it because of the witness.

  41. Not because Jesus appeared to you, not because Jesus talked to you and spoke to you audibly, no, you have it because of the witness, alright.

  42. And then 1 John, chapter 5, verse 10, first part of that verse he that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself or herself.

    1 John 5:10

  43. So if you're a believer, you have the witness.

  44. It's not something that you might or might not have.

  45. It's there.

  46. It comes with the equipment God gave you, supernatural equipment with which you're able to identify his leading.

  47. That's why I'm teaching this.

  48. We come across people all the time and they don't realize that they followed the witness.

  49. They don't even know what to call it.

  50. They've never been taught anything and they stumbled around and just God's mercy allowed them to be in the right place at the right time, talking to the right person.

  51. But you know, it doesn't have to be like that.

  52. It can be like that on purpose.

  53. I mean, you can absolutely follow the Holy Ghost, alright.

  54. So we talked about this 1 John 4-4,.

  55. The greater one lives in you and he loves to lead his people.

  56. He does it all the time.

  57. That's one of his primary duties.

  58. How can he help you if he's not leading you?

  59. I mean, you know, if he was just riding around hitchhiking and then you wound up?

  60. You know in the wrong place at the wrong time or the wrong people.

  61. I mean, what's he going to do?

  62. He's going to do shruggy, so no, he's going to be leading you.

  63. Not to do that.

  64. Again, we have to identify his leadership.

  65. So then we talked about how that, because the Holy Ghost and God is a spirit, then we have to follow him in the realm of the spirit does no good to try to follow him in the natural.

  66. And we talked about our emotions, our feelings, or the voice of our body, or the voice of the flesh.

  67. I, most Christians, I'm sorry to say in my experience, just follow their emotions, they follow sentiment or else they follow reason.

  68. Well, you know, it's just common sense.

  69. Think about the word common sense.

  70. What does common mean?

  71. It means fleshly.

  72. I believe common sense is better than no sense at all.

  73. But there's a higher realm and that's the realm of the spirit and that's where he's gonna lead you and that's where you've gotta follow him.

  74. And when I say that, a lot of people just say I don't think I could ever do that.

  75. Yes, you can, and you already have to one degree or another, and you're gonna learn how to be bulletproof in that situation.

  76. We are living in those days where we can't afford to take blind alleys, call to sacks.

  77. We can't afford to be off the freeway when God wants us on the other side of town and we take the exit and get over in the back roads where all the red light you catch every red light on West Timer.

  78. I mean you get on West Timer, forget about going West on West Timer because it's gonna take you.

  79. Pack a lunch maybe, have some water in there, maybe a tent.

  80. So you can't follow your feelings, you can't follow your logic or your reason.

  81. You gotta follow him by the spirit.

  82. And it's not about voices.

  83. We talked about voices.

  84. Yes, god has a voice.

  85. The Holy Spirit has a voice.

  86. It's a strong.

  87. God has spoken to me before.

  88. It's a bold voice and it happens very seldom.

  89. You can probably count on maybe one hand, but for sure two hands, the times that God has spoken to me like that.

  90. Usually it's my own, still small voice, with the voice of my conscience speaking to me, and of course, since he lives in there, then my spirit is the voice of my own spirit.

  91. He's all mingled in there with the Holy Spirit.

  92. So my voice, my spirit, is reliable.

  93. I'll listen to my own spirit talk, but that's seldom anymore.

  94. I seldom hear voices.

  95. I go by the witness, go by the witness, and then there's many.

  96. First Corinthians says there's many voices in the world, none without significance, and you've got a real good chance, if you're waiting for voices, that the devil will come as an angel of light and speak to you and disguise his voice and you won't know what's him talking.

  97. You won't know what's a demon, you won't know.

  98. And then there's other people.

  99. There are naysayers, there's old things that people condemnation and curses that people have spoken over you, your boss, and so forth and so on.

  100. It's appreciated you abusive people that have abused you, maybe even parents, maybe siblings that have spoken to you, all kind of ungodly things.

  101. And those voices ring in your head.

  102. Listen.

  103. You thought about listening to voices.

  104. It's about following the witness, identifying the leadership, and so we talked about visions, dreams, words of prophecy, those are great when they happen.

  105. But you don't ever desire that.

  106. Don't ask for that, because every time it's happened to me, I've had plenty of spectacular what I call spectacular guidance.

  107. And every time I've had spectacular guidance, without exception, there's been a spectacular attack of the devil that I've had to overcome.

  108. So I'm not looking for just to fight, just to fight.

  109. Okay, I mean, there's plenty of fights coming my way.

  110. I'm not looking for a big one.

  111. If one comes, I'm equal to it.

  112. But that's what happens when people are just trying to be led.

  113. They're stumbling over the supernatural, looking for the spectacular.

  114. You have the witness.

  115. That's just the supernatural as a dream or a vision.

  116. Amen, all right.

  117. So we talked about it last week.

  118. Feed continually on the Word, which is what I told our new members.

  119. Feed continually on the Word, not just once a week or once a month.

  120. Well, I heard one.

  121. Well, I've read the Bible.

  122. Well, yeah, you read it.

  123. But faith doesn't come by having heard.

  124. It comes by hearing, and hearing Every day.

  125. Your faith needs to be built, you need to have communication when you think about the fact that this word is God speaking to you.

  126. This is as if the Lord Jesus Christ, is speaking personally to me, then you won't be so you know, flippant about laying it aside.

  127. So feed continually on the Word and then pray much in the Holy Ghost every day, every day.

  128. Pray much in the Holy Ghost and that way your spirit will be built up so that you can identify his leadership.

  129. Now, today, let's look at John, chapter 14, and want to speak to you about faith to follow the Holy Ghost, because I've mentioned it, it takes faith to follow the Holy Ghost.

    John 14 chapter mention

  130. Because why?

  131. Because he's not going to ride it across the sky.

  132. And pink letters where we can all see it.

  133. You know pink and blue, the blue sky, pink smoke, pink smoke, you know.

  134. No, he's not going to ride it across the sky, all right, so it takes faith.

  135. John, chapter 14, verse 16.

    John 14:16

  136. And I will pray the Father.

  137. He's talking on the last night before he was crucified, talking to the disciples at the last supper.

  138. They're sad because he's leaving, and he said and I will pray the Father, and he will send another comforter.

  139. So Jesus was a comforter.

  140. The word another means identical, so that's why sometimes, when we say the Lord spoke to me, we don't really mean it.

  141. We mean the Holy Ghost witness operated in us and we identified it.

  142. You all looked at me like a cow at a new gate.

  143. How many of you know Jesus didn't come and speak to you?

  144. Okay, he's sitting at the right hand of the fall now.

  145. You know, occasionally he does occasionally, but that's you know.

  146. Brother Hagan talks about what?

  147. Eight times that Jesus appeared to him and spoke to him.

  148. Okay, it's brother Hagan.

  149. I'm not brother Hagan, you're not either.

  150. So hey, quit waiting for that to happen.

  151. So when we say the Lord said or the Lord told me, well, we don't really mean it.

  152. We mean another comforter did somebody identical to Jesus?

  153. Sounds exactly like him.

  154. He hears what Jesus says and shows it under us.

  155. That's in John 16.

  156. We hadn't read that verse yet.

  157. Alright, I'm gonna pray another and he'll send another comfort that he may abide with you for 39 days, forever.

  158. Amen.

  159. He's in there, he lives your.

  160. Your body is his address.

  161. People looking for God would just look inside because he's right there.

  162. Even the spirit of truth well, I like that title.

  163. The Holy Ghost is what?

  164. The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive?

  165. It's obvious they don't have the spirit of truth.

  166. They cannot receive because it that world.

  167. The world sees him not, neither knows him, but you know him, for he dwelleth with you and he shall be in you.

  168. Well, now that has already been fulfilled.

  169. See, this is the disciples before Jesus died on the cross.

  170. The Holy Ghost wasn't in there, yet he's telling him it's gonna show up, he's gonna be in you, he's with you right now.

  171. What we mean.

  172. He's with you.

  173. Well, because Jesus is with him.

  174. But now he's gonna be in you.

  175. He's gonna be in you forever.

  176. So when did that happen?

  177. On the day of Pentecost, they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.

  178. Actually, it happened right after his resurrection, when he breathed on them and he said receive you the Holy Spirit.

  179. Who sends you forgive or forgiven, who sends you retain?

  180. They are retained.

  181. So that's exactly when they were born again.

  182. But then they were filled with the Holy Ghost 50 days after his resurrection, on the day of Pentecost.

  183. Pentecost means 50.

  184. See, everything was done on a point in time.

  185. Are you with me now?

  186. So verse 18 I will not leave you comfortless.

  187. My bar margin says orphans.

  188. I will not leave you as orphans.

  189. More about that, a little bit, and so.

  190. And then let's look at John 16, couple pages over verse 13.

  191. He's still talking about the spirit of God.

  192. They don't know anything about the spirit of God much, and they didn't understand most what he was saying, that later on they, they had to understand it.

  193. How be it when he, the spirit of truth, is, come, he will guide you into all truth.

  194. Everybody say he's guiding me.

  195. See, he's not gonna just do a half-hearted job, you're gonna do a full job.

  196. He's gonna guide you into all the truth, not some of the truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come alright.

  197. So faith to follow the Holy Ghost.

  198. You know God desires to guide you and lead you.

  199. He's doing it, but you, on your part, you've got a trust that he is, you know, for some folks are so used to really acting in being and and acting like an orphan when they're not.

  200. I think about brother Lonnie.

  201. Lonnie Rex is in heaven, but years ago he was I think it was Uganda.

  202. I could be wrong about the country, but he was in Africa somewhere and he walked into a room with a hundred plus babies, orphans, and there wasn't a peep.

  203. He said oh, we got here and they're all asleep.

  204. He's in the and the guy said don't know, they're not asleep, they're awake.

  205. He said they're awake.

  206. Why aren't they crying?

  207. Why there's not even one crying?

  208. How can a hundred babies begin here without crying?

  209. So they don't cry?

  210. I mean, they tried that when they were first born.

  211. There's nobody to answer their cry.

  212. They don't have mommy, they don't have mommy to bring them a bottle, they don't have mommy to pick them up, they don't have mommy to pet them, they don't have mommy to speak to them, and so they gave up crying because there was nobody there.

  213. Orphans, and Lonnie said I'll be there, cry.

  214. I'll cry for the orphans.

  215. I'll cry for the orphans.

  216. I'll cry for the diapers.

  217. I'll cry for the baby formula.

  218. I'll cry for the powdered milk.

  219. I'll cry all over the world.

  220. I'll get people to give for the orphans.

  221. I'll be there.

  222. I'll be there.

  223. Cry, oh, glory to God.

  224. We're not orphans.

  225. Orphans are without guidance.

  226. They're without anyone to help them, they're without any aid, they're without anyone.

  227. But we're not them.

  228. No, sir, glory to God.

  229. Everybody say I'm not an orphan, I'm not forlorn.

  230. I got a daddy.

  231. I know who my daddy is.

  232. Hallelujah, he's our father.

  233. Glory to God.

  234. So we need faith in his guidance.

  235. So I've got four things I want to share.

  236. I could go on and on and.

  237. But I'm not because we've got to eat, no, I'm just joking.

  238. Just joking, we can eat later.

  239. It looks like it's gonna be later, all right.

  240. So four things that I want you to keep in mind about the guidance Faith to fall.

  241. Everybody say I'm building my faith to follow the Holy Ghost more completely.

  242. See, accuracy so necessary.

  243. Right now.

  244. We don't have, as I said, we don't have time to go down blind alleys and cul-de-sacs.

  245. We've got to, we've got to be on the right path.

  246. We won't have time to make mistakes and get off into a out of the will of God or in this acceptable.

  247. See, there's the good, the perfect and acceptable.

  248. I've been in the good and I've been out of the will of God.

  249. Both of those are not desirable.

  250. You want to stay as far away from them.

  251. You need the perfect will of God.

  252. You have to follow him to get it All right.

  253. The first thing that I want to say is found here in John 14, 18.

  254. He didn't leave us his orphans, he didn't leave us forlorn.

  255. And so number one idea for faith to follow the Holy Ghost.

  256. God is interested in what you're interested in.

  257. There's nothing too small or too great.

  258. A lot of people just don't think he's interested in just the nitty gritty of life, the everyday things.

  259. They don't think he's interested in what they wear, they don't think he's interested in.

  260. You know, if you want to know about what he's interested in, just ride with Gladys, because she always parks in the front door.

  261. She found out a long time ago.

  262. The Holy Ghost will lead her to the vacant parking spot at the mall which she goes to.

  263. Well, not much lately, but I mean when she goes to the dress shop it's like they've got cones out there.

  264. Like you know, they put cones out there for me so I have a place to park.

  265. Well, that's just like if the Holy Ghost just reserved and see, you don't talk to her about that's trifling.

  266. You shouldn't bother the Holy Ghost.

  267. Yes, you should.

  268. He will guide you in the most minute detail and I'll be honest with you, if you don't trust him for that, you're probably not going to trust him for the big stuff.

  269. Anyway, there's nothing too small.

  270. When those babies cried as orphans, nobody answered their cry.

  271. But we're not orphans.

  272. Glory to God.

  273. He's the comforter which you know.

  274. The Greek word is paraclete and comforter is a bad translation.

  275. Really, they missed, you know, that Greek word means much more than when we think comforter, we think padding on the head, we think a warm blanket, we think that well, yeah, he'll encourage you when you're down.

  276. Yeah, but that's not the powerful thing about the Holy Ghost and being the comforter.

  277. It's really the better translation is he's your helper, he's your aide.

  278. You know the literal translation in the Greek, because the Greek is a very exact language.

  279. Paraclete means a specific kind of encouragement and if the kind of encouragement a general gives his troops before they go out to battle in a very hard situation it looks like they're overwhelmed and without this encouragement given by the general, they would collapse.

  280. But because of his ability, he gets up in front of them and gets them ready to go and they go out to victory.

  281. That's what comforter means Glory to God.

  282. Have you ever felt like collapse?

  283. And well, you're not going to if you'll tap into the Holy Ghost, tap into the comforter.

  284. That's why we need to pray in the Holy Ghost every day.

  285. I like what Acts 26-22, you know, paul was given his testimony to King Agrippa.

  286. King, he's a king.

  287. Isn't that what God told him when he first got saved You're going to stand before kings and he's given his testimony to a king.

  288. And that king says man, you almost persuade me to be a Christian, almost persuaded us to be a big Christian.

  289. That's what Agrippa said.

  290. He said, well, I wish there was almost and all together, completely true that you'd be a Christian.

  291. But anyway, he said, I have obtained help from God as my ally.

  292. Acts 26-22 in the Amplified God was his ally.

  293. Think about and see in the King James, just as the Holy Ghost, holy Spirit, no, the Holy Spirit is with his ally.

  294. Isn't it great to know that the Holy Ghost is your ally and anything that you're facing, he is your ally.

  295. Joe Biden has disappointed all of the America's allies.

  296. They know we're lying, we know.

  297. They know that America's not going to stand behind their word, thanks to the Afghanistan debacle.

  298. Debaughal, I should say.

  299. One time I was baby Christian, maybe three or four months old, reading my Bible, had my Bible open to these verses in John 14 and came across these verses and I just laid my head back in my chair and closed my eyes.

  300. And the Holy Ghost.

  301. I was still young in the Lord, and so I would hear from the Holy Ghost on a regular basis.

  302. I talked about that last week.

  303. You know, what do babies need?

  304. Well, they need mama's voice, daddy's voice, they need your voice.

  305. You need voices when you're first saved, but at some point those voices kind of fade and go away.

  306. Why?

  307. So we can walk by faith.

  308. But anyway, the Holy Spirit spoke so sweetly to me that I understood it instantly.

  309. He said you are my intimate companion.

  310. Oh, and I just wept, I mean tears running down my face.

  311. I said the third person of the God head just call me his intimate companion.

  312. You know we talk about following the Holy Ghost was hey, how about riding shotgun where he's driving?

  313. I mean, you're just over here in the right seat.

  314. He's driving the car.

  315. Hey, where are we going next?

  316. Oh, you turn right.

  317. Where are we going now?

  318. I mean, it's something.

  319. I mean I like to follow the Holy Ghost while I'm riding in the car with him, his intimate companion.

  320. I've never forgotten it in 40 plus years, never will.

  321. Where I'm going, he's not hitchhiking.

  322. He's not in there to go where you're going, he's in there to lead you.

  323. He's in there for you to go where he's going.

  324. Are you with me now?

  325. All right, the second thing nothing too big or small, all right.

  326. The church from the Holy Ghost often comes in waves.

  327. It comes in series of waves, like waves of the ocean.

  328. I'm not a surfer, but if I was, I know that you can't surf from the beach.

  329. You can't surf from the hotel room on the 10th floor and looking down at the beach you can't surf from there.

  330. That's where I would have to be able to surf, because I don't even like going down on the beach myself, but because of Gladys I do.

  331. I go down on the beach from time to time.

  332. Even then you can't surf.

  333. What do you have to do?

  334. You have to paddle out in the water and when you do, you've got to go out where the waves are breaking.

  335. You can't just surf, you've got to go out where the waves are breaking and then you paddle out there.

  336. You get on the wave, you come back in and then you go back out and the waves come.

  337. And the Holy Ghost showed me that years ago going to Galveston.

  338. And so when God is revealing something to you by the witness, forget about the dreams and visions and forget about the voices.

  339. I'm just talking about the witness of the Spirit.

  340. Many times the witness will come in a series.

  341. You don't get the whole picture all at once.

  342. Why?

  343. Because God wants us to walk by faith.

  344. If he told you the whole plan, you'd probably chicken out anyway.

  345. I know I would have.

  346. I know I would have If he'd have told me what I was going to do.

  347. I'd have said get somebody else, let's go ahead and take me to heaven and get it over with Anyway.

  348. And so you've got to stay in the water as a surfer, right?

  349. Well, you got to stay in the water as a follower of Jesus.

  350. You've got to stay in the Word and stay in the Spirit and identify.

  351. John 16, 13 says he will guide you into all truth.

  352. When I see that word guide, I think about Moshe Bronstein, who was our guide in Israel back in 2003.

  353. Moshe was a general in the IDF.

  354. The tank commander got promoted to general.

  355. In his wounds he was in a tank when the IDF took over Jerusalem in 1967.

  356. Jordan had attacked them and seized Jerusalem, and so the Jews didn't even have access, so they took it back.

  357. In 67 war.

  358. He was in a tank.

  359. It got stuck in one of the gates of Jerusalem and they shot him with anti-tank fire.

  360. His tank blew up and he was in a coma for six months, should have died.

  361. They had tremendous testimony.

  362. He's not a Christian, he's a Jewish guy, but he was so such a guide and was systematic.

  363. I mean we'd be guided to a certain place.

  364. You know we'd look at that and then we'd go to the next place, and then we'd go to the next place, very systematic guide to a foreign country.

  365. That's what the Holy Ghost, the spirit realm, is a foreign land to us and he will guide you step by step.

  366. He will bring revelation and guidance to you in waves and series.

  367. He won't just dump it out on top of you where you can't take it.

  368. A couple of Bible examples I think about.

  369. David was crowned king after a long war with the house of Saul and finally Abner called for a meeting until they crowned him king over the northern kingdom, the southern kingdom.

  370. He was already king of Judah.

  371. Now he's king over all the other tribes, all 12 tribes.

  372. And when the Philistines heard about it, they set the battle in a ray in the valley of Refaim and he called for the priests to bring the ethod.

  373. Shall I go down to that valley?

  374. Will you give them under my hand?

  375. He said go and fight in that battle, I will surely give them into your hand.

  376. So he went down, attacked them and won in the valley of Refaim.

  377. And he said surely the Lord has broken through my enemies as they're letting out of water by my hand.

  378. So in other words, he gave God all the glory.

  379. It was like the dam broke.

  380. The Lord of the breakthrough I said the Lord of the breakthrough that's where we get that idea from God broke in on Israel's army by David's hands.

  381. See, david had to be involved in the battle.

  382. He didn't just sit there in the den of his house looking out the picture window.

  383. So he went down there under the direction and leadership of the Holy Ghost and they won a big battle.

  384. But then the Philistines came back to the same valley.

  385. They spread themselves again.

  386. David would have made a huge error if he had just assumed that his other word was current.

  387. If he had gone down there the same way he did the first time, he would have been destroyed.

  388. But instead, what did he do?

  389. He asked for guidance again.

  390. And this time the Lord says no, don't go down there.

  391. Go in down to the grove of mulberry trees and wait until you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees and then go up behind them.

  392. And so he did that.

  393. He waited and waited.

  394. Then he heard the sound of marching.

  395. What was that?

  396. Angels marching off the top of the trees.

  397. Then you blow your mind and the angels went out and destroyed a lot of the Philistines.

  398. And then they just did a mop-up operation and mopped it all up.

  399. But God fought for him this time.

  400. So it came in waves.

  401. His guidance came in a series of revelations of following the Holy Ghost.

  402. Acts, chapter 16, paul and Silas their first missionary journey.

    Acts 16 chapter mention

  403. You remember the story Paul and Barnabas had a come apart.

  404. Barnabas got mad.

  405. Paul wasn't exactly quiet either.

  406. They had some heated exchanges about Barnabas' nephew and Paul said he's not ready to go with us on the ministry, he's not going with me.

  407. So they split the sheet and you never hear from Barnabas again.

  408. Barnabas disappears from the pages of the Bible.

  409. But Jesus is still here.

  410. God's not dependent on your flesh.

  411. And Barnabas got in the flesh.

  412. He had that obligation to his nephew.

  413. Be careful about your family.

  414. Be careful about following things just because your family is there.

  415. Be careful, especially if they're not serving God or if they're babies or they have a totally different church they're going to.

  416. That's not like this.

  417. I don't know who that's for, but anyway.

  418. So they started praying about where to go.

  419. You know, the Bible says going to all the world, right.

  420. So they said, well, where are we going to go?

  421. I tell you what it'd be a good idea if we went to Bithynia.

  422. But the Spirit suffered them, not the Spirit didn't allow them.

  423. How did that happen?

  424. The witness they lost their peace about going to Bithynia Doesn't say God appeared to them, jesus appeared to them Doesn't say anything, just said the Spirit suffered them, not the Spirit didn't allow them.

  425. Sometimes you've got to identify when the Spirit's not allowing you to do something.

  426. So they obeyed that.

  427. So, okay, scratch Bithynia off the list.

  428. Silas, looks like we're going to have to leave Bithynia alone.

  429. Okay, how about Asia Minor?

  430. You know what?

  431. I think Asia Minor might be the place they were forbidden by the Holy Ghost to preach the gospel in Asia Minor.

  432. Again, how?

  433. It doesn't say how, but we have to assume that when they started thinking about it and planning it and charting the journey toward it, they had to walk everywhere they went.

  434. They didn't have a subway, they didn't have a train or a plane, and so the Spirit forbade them, Forbidden of the Holy Ghost.

  435. So they obeyed that, thank God.

  436. They obeyed what the witness, the guidance I'm talking about coming in waves.

  437. They had two closed doors.

  438. A closed door is guidance, folks.

  439. A closed door is a blessing, because if you go through a closed door you'll find out what it's like to be out of the will of God.

  440. It's no fun, I can testify, I've been through some closed doors before.

  441. It's no fun.

  442. What's behind the closed door?

  443. Hell, oh, I wish I'd have taken what was in the green box.

  444. All right, so, and so, finally, after the witness was obeyed twice, then, the third time, there was a dream, spectacular guidance, and a Macedonian man said come over here and help us.

  445. And they went to that place.

  446. So you see waves.

  447. Sometimes the Spirit of God will come in a series Are y'all with me now?

  448. Step by step, placed by.

  449. He's such a wonderful tour guide, he knows exactly how to guide you.

  450. And then, number three many times the Holy Ghost will indicate what he doesn't want before he indicates what he does want.

  451. We just heard two.

  452. We heard, well, we heard one witness of that, act 16.

  453. Many times he will tell you what he doesn't want before he tells you what he does.

  454. Many times in your guidance there'll be a closed door.

  455. A closed door before there's an open door.

  456. Rejoice when you identify that.

  457. Rejoice all the time when you can identify the guidance of the Spirit, when he will hold you back.

  458. When you lose your peace about something, you don't get sad, you're glad.

  459. Oh, my God, the witness is operating inside of me, praise God.

  460. Okay, I'm ready for the green light.

  461. Now I'm ready for the.

  462. Oh, another red light.

  463. Oh, okay, we're already got him getting guided.

  464. I'm not in the, I'm gonna stay in the will of God.

  465. I know, praise God.

  466. And you wait around until guidance comes.

  467. And in this case they had a dream, you know.

  468. But I like Brother Reggie Scarborough, pastor in Lakeland Florida.

  469. He and his wife went to Raymond.

  470. They graduated, he went to pastoral studies.

  471. He tells us testimony, heard it years ago, right before we started the church, in fact about six months before we started the church.

  472. Somebody gave me this tape back then was cassette tape of his testimony.

  473. Never forgotten it.

  474. I tell it every time.

  475. I teach on this.

  476. And so the phone didn't ring.

  477. Nobody wanted a pastor, nobody needed one.

  478. He didn't have any interviews.

  479. You know, here he is graduating, he's ready to go in the pastoring.

  480. So they decided, him and his wife made a plan Well, we'll just go back to your hometown, san Augustine, florida.

  481. Your parents lived there.

  482. They'll help us start a church.

  483. Well, since nobody's called, we'll just start a work down there.

  484. So that was their plan.

  485. And so they packed the U-Haul trailer, moved out of the apartment, but he's still there because he got to go through the ceremony of graduation.

  486. So he sends his wife down the road, drive all the way from Tulsa down to San Augustine, florida.

  487. She gets there the next day.

  488. He's sitting in the apartment with no chairs, just leaning against the wall with his Bible in his lap, praying in the Holy Ghost, passing the time until the next day is graduation and the ceremony and everything.

  489. So he's spending time by himself.

  490. No bed, no, all the furniture's gone to San Augustine.

  491. She put it in stories and all that.

  492. And so he's sitting there and the Holy Ghost talks to him.

  493. And they're not the witness, it's the Holy Ghost.

  494. San Augustine, is not it?

  495. Love to be a fly on the wall?

  496. San Augustine, is not it.

  497. San Augustine, is not it?

  498. Well, what is it?

  499. What is it?

  500. There's only about 100,000 other cities.

  501. I mean, where are we supposed to go?

  502. That's just scratch one off the list.

  503. Don't tell me the Holy Ghost doesn't have a sense of humor.

  504. You got to know that about the Holy Ghost.

  505. He's got a sense of humor.

  506. Let's lighten up a little bit, don't get so.

  507. But how many of you would have loved to for him to, you know, be for you to be him, to call his wife and tell him what the Lord said.

  508. See, in that, oh, he calls his wife, honey.

  509. The Holy Ghost spoke to him.

  510. Oh yeah, san Augustine is not it.

  511. San Augustine is not it, not it.

  512. Well, what is it?

  513. I don't know, honey, but we're going to find out.

  514. He said I propose that I get as soon as I get there.

  515. I'm going to fly in there and you come pick me up the airport and I just, you know, you've got everything in storage, right?

  516. Yeah, I got it in storage.

  517. And I said all right, let's just get in the car and drive north until we feel the witness.

  518. That's what he said.

  519. So they drive north, north, north, north, north and they turn around and kind of go off to the, to the west, and they hit Lakeland Florida.

  520. That's a pretty good drive from San Augustine.

  521. I haven't looked at a map of Florida lately but I think Isn't San Augustine all the way down further?

  522. No, it's up in the north.

  523. Where is San Augustine?

  524. Anybody know where San Augustine?

  525. It's the oldest city in America.

  526. I can tell you that.

  527. Huh, okay, so it wasn't all the way across Florida.

  528. They just drove east or west, excuse me, they drove west.

  529. They hit Lakeland, florida, and the witness operated in both of them.

  530. They felt the witness of God when they came in the city limits of Lakeland and they said what in the world?

  531. We're feeling something now?

  532. Lakeland, florida.

  533. And they knew of this pastor, carl Strader, who had this huge church, 10,000 seats.

  534. Rodney Howard Brown was there in the beginning of his ministry and Carl had built this huge church.

  535. Never did fill it, went back up later, but before that, you know good folk gospel pastor.

  536. And they said well, you know he's been at Lakeland for a long time, let's call him and see if we can talk to him, he can give us some advice.

  537. And he agreed to meet with them.

  538. He was so gracious, he was glad, welcomed them to the city, you know, and gave them word, had a witness that they were where they belonged and prayed over them, and it just encouraged them.

  539. And they've been there ever since.

  540. All they had was the witness of the spirit, but first God had to tell them that San Augustine was not it.

  541. All right?

  542. So, lastly, are you getting anything out of this?

  543. I'm going to try to guide.

  544. This is getting late here, all right.

  545. So the last one.

  546. At John 16, 13,.

  547. It says here that the Holy Ghost will be your guide, guide you into all truth, and so guidance from the Holy Ghost will occur as long as you stay connected to the truth.

  548. That's why it's so dangerous to be deceived.

  549. And when you, when you, when you're deceived in one area and allow yourself to drift off of God's truth because there's no excuse you have the spirit of truth.

  550. God has a side.

  551. Anything you hear on the lame stream media, anything you hear on television, anything somebody tells you some politician, you have the witness of the spirit.

  552. You have the spirit of truth in you.

  553. You have no excuse of being deceived.

  554. You read your Bible every day.

  555. You know what the Bible says Let God be true in every man a liar.

  556. But when you allow yourself and there's no other way to say it you allow yourself to be deceived in one area.

  557. You're right for deception in another area until you're totally deceived.

  558. There's a whole lot of the church right now that's totally deceived.

  559. You've got pastors standing up and siding with the government saying that everybody must be to have a shot.

  560. Well, that's a bunch of bunk.

  561. That's not right for anybody to say that.

  562. It ought to be between a person and their own conscience, and the government shouldn't have one thing to say about it.

  563. It's illegal.

  564. It's an illegal act.

  565. What they're doing is unconstitutional.

  566. Are you with me now?

  567. Unconstitutional.

  568. And for a church, for somebody to stand in a pulpit.

  569. You have every right to leave that church.

  570. Get out of there.

  571. Dust your feet off.

  572. Get the dust off, amen.

  573. Don't allow yourself to be deceived, because if you do, guidance is going to cease.

  574. Why?

  575. Because God's mad at you?

  576. No, because you put yourself in a position.

  577. Remember my illustration about following.

  578. I would go out to 1960 and 59.

  579. Okay, y'all, follow me to the Beltway.

  580. It's only about four miles down south, down the road.

  581. Just follow me to the Beltway.

  582. I said get close to me now, don't let.

  583. And 15 cars are in between me and them.

  584. And I take the Beltway and they don't take the Beltway exit.

  585. That's what happens to you when you believe a lie.

  586. You get cauterized.

  587. You get where you can't follow and identify the witness, and now God is going to go some other direction and you're not going to be there.

  588. Are you with me now?

  589. No truth, no growth, little or no supernatural.

  590. There's too big a gap for guidance to occur.

  591. It's not that guidance isn't occurring, it's that you're not able to what Identify it.

  592. Everybody say I identify the guidance the Holy Spirit gives me.

  593. So build your faith on the idea that the Holy Ghost does lead you and by faith, you follow the Holy Ghost.

  594. Come on, lift your hands and receive Hallelujah, glory to God.

  595. Well, a little bit long, but you know it was worth it.

  596. It was investment, and investment in the truth.

  597. How many of you got something out of this today?

  598. Come on, let's just lift our hands right now.

  599. Let's worship him.

  600. Father, we worship you right now.

  601. We thank you for the Word of the living God.

  602. It's true.

  603. Let God be true in every man.

  604. A liar.

  605. Thank you.
