  1. Let's just lift our Bibles up and wave them around.

  2. Make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

  3. Let's say this together say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be here at Glorious Way.

  4. I'm glad everybody joined me this morning.

  5. Love plus unity equals miracles.

  6. There's nothing too hard for my God.

  7. This Bible is filled with the testimonies of miracles and I'm not excluded.

  8. I thank you.

  9. This morning I believe I receive revelation.

  10. My faith is growing in Jesus' name.

  11. Amen, you can be seated.

  12. Let's turn in our Bibles to two places Acts 26.

  13. And also Hebrews 13,.

  14. It started, acts happened to be reading in the book of Acts.

  15. Right now I just, you know I don't have sermons or sermonettes, I have messages God gives me.

  16. I read my Bible, I feed myself and out of the overflow, I feed you.

  17. Praise the Lord.

  18. Acts 26, verse 22.

    Acts 26:22

  19. And Paul is giving his testimony to King Agrippa and he said having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both the small and great, saying none of the things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come.

  20. In other words, he said I've obtained help of God and I continue.

  21. He didn't quit, he continued All right.

  22. And then in Hebrews 13, the second part of verse five, for he hath said I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee, so that we may barely say weakly, say no, boldly say the Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

  23. And you know, I saw here in Amplified in verse 22,.

  24. It says Paul said this way this day I have had the help which comes from God as my ally.

  25. I mean, the holy helper is your ally, amen.

  26. That's what I wanna talk about today.

  27. The holy helper, he's our holy helper.

  28. And so he kept on saying.

  29. He said I kept taking action because I had help as God is my ally.

  30. I continued, even unto this day.

  31. And unto this day he was in change.

  32. Under this day he was in prison.

  33. Under this day he was called into account about what he was doing.

  34. And I mean, he went before kings, he went before magistrates, he went everywhere talking and preaching the gospel, teaching, preaching, healing, writing, laboring.

  35. How many of you keep on going, even after you know you need help?

  36. Praise God.

  37. We don't get help and then fold our tent, close the door and hide in a dark room.

  38. Amen, amen.

  39. And so God, the Holy Spirit, was busy helping Paul as Paul's ally, praise God.

  40. Just think about being allied with God, allied with God, Praise God.

  41. You know, often I'll watch, oh, world War II history videos, you know, and they talk about you know, like I was watching one the other day about D-Day, and D-Day was this huge invasion of Europe, and it said the Allied Forces landed.

  42. Well, I know, the Allied Forces landed.

  43. Now, there were Brits there, there were Australians there, new Zealanders there, but you know what, who had the toughest job was the Americans.

  44. We landed on Omaha Beach and that's where all the opposition was.

  45. I mean, the Brits just walked right up Utah.

  46. I mean, there wasn't hardly any opposition, they don't talk about that.

  47. And so here's our guys dying.

  48. You know, here are our guys laying there getting murdered and chopped to bits with machine gun fire.

  49. But it was the allies that landed.

  50. Well, you know what?

  51. It wasn't the allies that took Omaha Beach, it was American soldiers, praise God.

  52. So, but just think about having an ally like God.

  53. And so, later on, I mean, paul just got to preach and he started talking and bragging on God, and a gripper said King, he's a king.

  54. He said almost, thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

  55. You keep talking like that.

  56. I'm gonna go ahead and convert, and he didn't.

  57. You know a lot of people.

  58. They'll listen, but they won't.

  59. They won't repent and they'll never be able to say they never heard.

  60. They'll never be able to have an excuse.

  61. And so now notice that when we need help and who doesn't?

  62. Has anybody ever needed help?

  63. Help is available from God.

  64. Help is available.

  65. That's the it's very simple message.

  66. Help's available.

  67. I said help's available.

  68. Hebrews 4.16 says we should come boldly to the throne of grace.

  69. To obtain what Help?

  70. To obtain grace, to help in time of need.

  71. Has anybody ever had a time of need when you needed help?

  72. Well, it's available.

  73. Come boldly.

  74. See that word boldly is so important Because when we're under pressure, it's easy for our voices to fall our confidence, our faith to kind of be weak and our voice to be weak.

  75. I'll tell you, faith will change your voice.

  76. The Holy Ghost on the inside of you will change your countenance.

  77. Amen, I mean, he is my, he's my ally and whatever it is that I'm facing.

  78. And in Hebrews it says boldly say the Lord's my helper.

  79. How is the Lord your helper?

  80. In the person of the Holy Ghost?

  81. In the person of the Holy Ghost.

  82. And so the Holy Helper responds to holy boldness.

  83. Everybody say holy boldness.

  84. Right now is the time for the church to be bold.

  85. We've got to rise up.

  86. I said we've got to rise up.

  87. We've got an ally.

  88. I said we've got an ally.

  89. You know, I heard about a Bible teacher in a full gospel church, a seminary, the other day.

  90. Bible school.

  91. I should say that said that you know that God's neutral.

  92. Yeah, told a bunch of Bible school students that God is neutral.

  93. But one of those students stood up and said no, that's not true.

  94. God has a side.

  95. I mean the idea that a Bible school's a teacher would say that God is neutral and doesn't have an opinion about abortion, about this transgenderism, all this gender bender garbage, doesn't have any opinion about the lies that are being put forth.

  96. Amen.

  97. No, he is on the side of right, he's on the side of truth.

  98. The Holy Ghost is a spirit of truth.

  99. He has.

  100. He's on the side of truth, or they would have to cancel out the fact that he's the spirit of truth.

  101. He would have to be the spirit of moderation, he'd have to be the spirit of mush.

  102. You know well, I don't have an opinion on that.

  103. Yes, he does.

  104. You want to know his opinion?

  105. Just get to know him.

  106. Maybe let's look at John 14 and a little while.

  107. We're gonna receive communion and this word communion means common union.

  108. I don't think you can't get a better ally than somebody that you're in common union with.

  109. And John 14, verse 16, jesus.

    John 14:16

  110. And when is he saying this?

  111. He's saying this at the Last Supper.

  112. He's saying this on the last night before the crucifixion.

  113. How many of you know that it was gonna?

  114. It must have been important for him to save some things.

  115. So he started talking to the disciples a little bit and John chapter 14, 15 and 16, he started talking about the comforter.

    John 14 chapter mention

  116. He started talking about the Holy Ghost and he said I will pray verse 16, I will pray the Father and he will give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever.

  117. Now the word comforter there the Greek word, is the Greek word paraclete.

  118. And so what they?

  119. You know the King James Bible.

  120. It's really a poor translation.

  121. Comforter is really does not describe accurately the work of the Holy Spirit.

  122. The amplified does it better.

  123. The amplified says counselor, helper.

  124. Really, if you really want to get down to it, the best short version of paraclete is helper.

  125. But even that doesn't describe accurately the depth and the breadth and the length and the height of the power of the Holy Spirit.

  126. So, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate you could say lawyer, all of these, all of these are identical to Jesus, every one of these that he, that the amplified, is saying, that describes the Holy Spirit also.

  127. And other places describe Jesus.

  128. So he is another, or identical, comforter or helper to the Holy Ghost or to the to Jesus.

  129. Cause why?

  130. Because Jesus left, he said I'm going to, I'm going to pray the Father, he's going to send an identical paraclete, just like me, and who's going to live and abide with you forever.

  131. And then later on, he says he's going to be with you and he shall be in you.

  132. Well, right, then they weren't saved yet because Jesus hadn't died on the cross.

  133. But later on, on the depth, you know, after he rose from the dead, he said receive you, the Holy Spirit.

  134. He breathed on them.

  135. That's when they got saved.

  136. And then, 40 days later, when the Holy Ghost fell on them, they had the Holy Ghost, not only on the inside of them, but he had.

  137. They had the Holy Ghost upon them.

  138. Are you with me now, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener, stand by.

  139. Just think about the third person of the Godhead is on standby.

  140. Any of you work where you're on standby.

  141. I mean you know you've got hours, you know and you go home.

  142. But while you're home, your own stand by if they need you.

  143. You've got to hurry into the office.

  144. You're on standby.

  145. You can't just go anywhere you'd like to go.

  146. You can't just be occupied with something else.

  147. You can't go fishing, you can't take.

  148. You can't take a fishing trip.

  149. You got why?

  150. Because you're on standby, might as well be at the office.

  151. They like, they'll allow me to call you at any time if you've got that type of job.

  152. Just think about the third person of the Godhead is on standby for your behalf.

  153. I mean, he's always available.

  154. He doesn't have a voicemail.

  155. Glory to God.

  156. Da da da press one.

  157. Da da da press two.

  158. Brought a da press three.

  159. Brought a da Come.

  160. Have a come apart.

  161. So he said he lives in us forever.

  162. Amplified says in verse 18, he will not leave you comfortless.

  163. He said I will come to you.

  164. I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.

  165. How is he going to come to you?

  166. He's going to come to you in the presence of the Holy Ghost.

  167. He's an identical paracly.

  168. I will not leave you helpless.

  169. We're not helpless.

  170. We're not victims.

  171. We have an ally.

  172. He's the Holy Helper, he's on standby at all times.

  173. Are you kidding me?

  174. We got to lose this victim mentality.

  175. They're so hard.

  176. You know.

  177. The Democrats are trying so hard to get the whole culture of America to be victims and people who have grievances, and and even now we've got people that aren't even citizens, that are coming into our country illegally, that he wants to give $450,000 to for some sort of reparations for the wrong we've done Nothing for legal.

  178. I mean, if you waited in line legally and you're a legal resident of America, you came from some of the same countries.

  179. I mean, if you did did wrong to them, how about you?

  180. How, how, why aren't you eligible for the 400?

  181. How come it's criminals that have to get the 450?

  182. Ms-13 members have to get, child molesters and all.

  183. How, how, how is it that legal people with a green card are here legally, law-abiding, and they don't get any of the money?

  184. How about us have been here all along?

  185. How about all the people who have slaves in their, in their forefathers?

  186. I've been hearing about reparations forever and all of a sudden now a whole bunch of people cut line and they're getting reparations.

  187. I think Brandon's gone crazy.

  188. I mean Biden.

  189. There's 11 Republicans that think the same thing.

  190. They voted for this.

  191. They voted for this horrible bill that gives all this money away.

  192. 11 Republicans voted for that and gave all the left wing, all of the nut job, aoc and the rest of them.

  193. Presley and all the other communists that have gotten into office gave them political cover by voting for this horrible bill.

  194. I don't believe it'll be passed by the Senate, but that's beside the point.

  195. It's just wrong and we need to send these people home.

  196. It's done as possible.

  197. All right, praise the Lord.

  198. Enough of that.

  199. But we have a holy helper.

  200. We're not helpless, we're not orphans, we're not bereaved, desolate, forlorn.

  201. No, no, no.

  202. We have an ally, we've got a holy helper.

  203. Glory to God.

  204. Come on, let's lift our hands, praise God.

  205. You have no reason to ever feel lonely.

  206. He lives on the inside of you.

  207. You're not forlorn, you're not lonely.

  208. He's there.

  209. He's there to help you.

  210. He's on.

  211. Call, praise God Now PC Nelson, who early in his ministry was an evangelist but he became a theologian of of a spokesman for the assembly of God Church and was highly.

  212. He was a Greek scholar and he did a description of who the Holy Spirit is, the paraclete the Greek word that's translated comforter.

  213. Again, I said the comforter is not a really very good translation.

  214. Here's who the paraclete is and here's what he has.

  215. Number one he has exceptional knowledge.

  216. Have you ever needed to know something?

  217. Well, he knows the answer.

  218. Well, yeah, god knows everything.

  219. I know, but you've realized he lives in you to give you the answer.

  220. There's nothing that you're questioning about.

  221. There's no kind of information that you're lacking, that he won't give you exceptional knowledge, expertise and protocol and procedure.

  222. Expertise and protocol and procedure.

  223. Now we've helped a number of people with exemption letters because of the jab, by the way, the Fifth Circuit at three of the judges in the Fifth Circuit overturned or put an injunction against Brandon's Vax mandate, and so it's off the table temporarily.

  224. Oh, come on, let's praise God for that.

  225. Not all the judges are nuts.

  226. There's a few of them that are nuts, but not all of them.

  227. There's some, you know there's some Trump appointees that are actually doing some pretty good job.

  228. They're doing a pretty good job.

  229. I was in a meeting recently with Ken Starr and he was.

  230. He was talking about, you know, we we need to praise God for the judges.

  231. Things are completely different in the federal court system right now, thanks to Donald Trump.

  232. This is Ken Starr talking about.

  233. You know, the guy that basically brought the impeachment case against Clinton.

  234. Okay, that Ken Starr, the one that the media just crucified.

  235. They hate him just like they hate Jesus, just like they hate you and I, amen, but he was just encouraging the group of pastors how things are different now that the, that the court system is a whole lot better than it has been, and so they put they, they issued a temporary restraining order against these Vax mandates and you know, though, they're muttering to themselves now.

  236. They're just in a panic.

  237. It's not going to pass muster, it's unconfirmed, we know that.

  238. But we've got a helper, we've got a holy helper.

  239. Well, anyway, we've helped people, you know, with with the, with a, with a letter, and we've coached them.

  240. Claire will spend time on the phone coaching people on how to, and you've got to get, you've got to get to be an expert in all the procedures and protocols of your company, because what they're going to try to do is trip you up and get you to say that this is your personal preference rather than a deeply held spiritual, religious conviction of your heart, and so if you don't know how to express yourself in writing and verbally, you can be at a disadvantage and they can deny your accommodation.

  241. They can still tell you that, get jabbed or be fired.

  242. And there's a lot of people being fired needlessly.

  243. Why?

  244. Because they haven't leaned on the paraclete, they haven't listened to him, because I'm going to tell you what he's an expert and procedure and protocol.

  245. He can speak.

  246. He's got persuasive speaking ability.

  247. The third thing he is.

  248. You might not feel very eloquent, you might not feel like, but listen, you got the Holy Spirit on the inside of you.

  249. He's the paraclete, he's your holy helper.

  250. We had one of our members I won't say who it was, whether it was a male or female, but they were dreading.

  251. They had a big old bunch of stuff to fill out, a questionnaire, lots of questions, hr.

  252. You know they wanted more than just the letter.

  253. Now, we're not going to give it to you just because this letter no, you're going to have to answer all these questions.

  254. Who drew up the letter?

  255. Well, a bunch of legal, big, a bunch of attorney.

  256. The legal department did.

  257. They're trying to get out of giving you an accommodation and this person was more than a little bit, you know, of intimidated.

  258. And Claire said look, you're going to have to get the scriptures in your heart.

  259. You're going to have to speak scriptures against this whole thing.

  260. You're going to have to give them a scriptural basis.

  261. It's not about the medical science, it's not about anything.

  262. It's about what does God's Word say?

  263. What do you believe in your heart and how?

  264. If you do this, it'll be a violation of your own personal conscience, until you say that they don't have to grant you the variance.

  265. And so the person put it off and put it off and finally, the night before he had to turn it in, the Holy Ghost woke him up in the middle of the night, came upon him and I mean I said it's a hymn.

  266. So now you know it's a guy, but anyway, a woman would have already whipped it out, but a guy, you know, takes a lot longer.

  267. You know, guys overthink.

  268. Guys are just always thinking.

  269. Women are just oh, that's it.

  270. But the guy, oh, what am I going to say?

  271. I mean he filled the paper out.

  272. I mean he felt so good that the Holy Ghost visited him.

  273. I don't really know how it turned out yet, I don't know if he got approved.

  274. But one thing it did for him is it changed his life because he heard from God.

  275. He heard from the Holy Helper.

  276. He realized who helped him.

  277. Oh, glory to God.

  278. You know, that's one side.

  279. Benefit of trouble is sometimes we're able to really realize that we have a helper and he cares about the same thing.

  280. Glory to God.

  281. So again we're going to receive communion because you know John is talking about the Holy Ghost and so it must have been really important.

  282. Even though they didn't understand much of what Jesus was saying, he said well, later on you'll find out more about it.

  283. They didn't even understand after he rose from the dead.

  284. They didn't understand about the Holy Ghost.

  285. He said well, you'll receive him not many days hence, you'll get filled with him.

  286. You'll understand later.

  287. I mean, it took them decades to really understand about the Holy Ghost.

  288. Look at what we have.

  289. We have this word, we have the word of faith.

  290. We have great teachers like PC Nelson and others that have expounded on God's word.

  291. We are so far ahead of the 12 apostles it's not even funny.

  292. We have no excuse to be afraid.

  293. We have no excuse to be confused for long, helpless Amen and so obtaining Holy help.

  294. I've just got two things Supernatural help reserved for the righteous.

  295. Why do I say that?

  296. Why can't anybody have it?

  297. Well, because the world cannot receive the Holy Ghost.

  298. They don't know about the Holy Ghost.

  299. They hear about him, but they don't know him.

  300. They haven't received him.

  301. You and I, when we got born again, we received him and then, when we got baptized in the Holy Ghost, we got filled with him.

  302. Are you with me now Obtaining Holy help?

  303. That is, supernatural help reserved for the righteous.

  304. All right, number one let's look at Mark 11.

  305. You getting anything out of this?

  306. I hadn't even told you what to do yet.

  307. Mark 11, 24.

  308. Therefore, this is Jesus speaking in red.

  309. Is that red in your Bible?

  310. If you don't have one of those Bibles that puts Jesus in red, you know, maybe you ought to get another Bible.

  311. I like my Bible.

  312. Everything he said is in red, so I know he said it and he said.

  313. Therefore, I say unto you what things, whoever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.

  314. What things, whatever things, you desire when you pray, believe you receive them, you shall have them.

  315. When do you believe you receive them?

  316. When you have them?

  317. No, when you pray, you believe when you pray.

  318. And what do you pray about?

  319. Things.

  320. You want things, you need things.

  321. So when you need help, don't you ask for it?

  322. So when you ask for help, the first thing is believe you receive the help.

  323. When you ask, you don't know that.

  324. You don't know you've been helped.

  325. You don't know you've been helped.

  326. I mean you can't identify the help.

  327. See, the Holy Ghost works behind the scenes.

  328. A lot of times he's already going to work for you behind the scenes, even really before you ask.

  329. I was praying with a dear friend of mine, known him 40 years and he lives up a different part of the country, and he had some situations with an executive above him that was trying to do him harm, and so I started ministering to him.

  330. He said yeah, you know, god didn't.

  331. It didn't make God Jesus fall off the throne.

  332. The Holy Ghost knows all about this thing.

  333. He said he'd give you a way of escape.

  334. So we started praying about the way of escape and I just saw that this guy, as soon as he was installed above my friend in that company, as soon as he reported to him as his boss, that is when the Holy Ghost started devising a way of escape Way before he even knew he needed one.

  335. I said you know what?

  336. How long have you been reporting?

  337. Well, two years.

  338. I said two years ago the Holy Ghost knew that this was the wrong guy for your career.

  339. He's been working on a way of escape.

  340. He's got the way of escape.

  341. He's been sitting in a drawer.

  342. You're going to pull the drawer out and find out this way.

  343. You know, we're going to pray and you're going to discover every aspect of it.

  344. I said after we hang up now, you're going to have to get real.

  345. You're going to have to pray this all the way out.

  346. So then I said you know, I see a bunch of tugboats coming up against your.

  347. I saw him as a big ocean going vessel.

  348. And I said I see these tugboats coming up next to you to guide you and keep you going into the port.

  349. You know how they do down at the ship channel.

  350. You just don't.

  351. They don't just go unescorted, they have tugboats that show them how to get in there and keep them from going one side of the next.

  352. And I said I see another guy on the bridge of a huge ship out a little away from you and he is looking at you through big old binoculars.

  353. He's watching everything that's going on.

  354. He knows you, he knows your career, he knows everything that's going on.

  355. And let me tell you something it's really important how you handle this situation, because he's watching you.

  356. It's going to be a testimony to what a person of integrity you are.

  357. You got somebody gunning for you.

  358. See, god just poured all that out.

  359. I'm seeing all this stuff.

  360. I'm talking, I'm just giving him all of this stuff, but what it?

  361. It helped me to get ready for this man.

  362. I didn't know I was going to preach this message, but listen, it's not a surprise that you need to help to the Holy Ghost.

  363. He's already devised the help for you.

  364. You may not see it, you might not know what it is, but it's already going, it's already working.

  365. Believe, you receive it when you pray and you shall have it.

  366. In fact, you ought to start praising God the minute you say amen.

  367. Well, I know, but it's still.

  368. Everything is still the same.

  369. It may look the same, but it's not the same.

  370. You ask for help and the helper's moving.

  371. In fact, the helper probably already started moving before you ever knew it.

  372. Psalm 46.1 says God is a very present help in time of trouble, not just present, very present.

  373. You know there's present, and then there's very present.

  374. You know there's present, and then there's extremely present.

  375. And when God is your ally and he shows up, he's not just present, he's very present, he's extremely present.

  376. Move over, devil, the helper's here.

  377. Are you with me now?

  378. Look at Psalm 40.

  379. These are just that.

  380. You know, if you read your Bible every day, you'll get these.

  381. I mean, I don't know how many times I've read these verses and I say, oh, there's my verse right there, psalm 40, 17.

  382. Now, second part of the verse Thou art my help and my deliverer.

  383. Make no tearing.

  384. Oh my God, please don't take any longer.

  385. Please do it yesterday.

  386. Make no tearing.

  387. I like that word tearing.

  388. Make no tearing, oh my God.

  389. That's not, it's scriptural.

  390. And then, if you read Psalm 40, then you had to read Psalm 70.

  391. Remember, they're 30 apart, right?

  392. So this would be Psalm 10, then Psalm 40.

  393. Say, on the 10th day of the month, which is next week, 10th day of the month you'll read Psalm 10, then you'll read Psalm 40.

  394. You'll come across this verse.

  395. And then the next Psalm, you read it Psalm 70.

  396. It says the same thing at the end of that Psalm.

  397. It says Thou art my help and my deliverer.

  398. Lord, make no tearing.

  399. Just in case you didn't get it the first time, it gives it to you the second time.

  400. Oh, come on, let's praise God.

  401. That's what we have to shout about.

  402. That's why we can praise God.

  403. It's written in the Word.

  404. It's written there for us to claim it.

  405. It's ours, it belongs to you.

  406. Help belongs to you.

  407. Now he works behind the scenes.

  408. Please don't forget that.

  409. He often works behind the scenes and his help is not obvious for some time.

  410. But that doesn't mean you don't praise him every day.

  411. That means you know he heard you, you know he's moving on your behalf.

  412. Amen, all right.

  413. The second thing, james 2.20 in the Weyman Faith Without Corresponding Action is dead.

  414. So do something lest you do nothing.

  415. Do something for God to get involved with.

  416. I mean, if you believe God, then there's a corresponding action that God wants you to take on your side.

  417. Yes, praising, that's one action.

  418. Speak, oh, thank God, god's got my back, he's helping me on this situation.

  419. Well, that's what you need to say, and you need to praise Him.

  420. And speaking right is the initial action, but many times there is a specific action we need to take.

  421. So a good way to pray is God.

  422. How do I act?

  423. My faith on this matter?

  424. What would you like to see me do as proof that I believe?

  425. You See, because believe is an action verb.

  426. It is not a mental agreement, it's not something locked up in your brain tissue, it is exhibited by your actions.

  427. Y'all are looking at me kind of strange, but no, there's an action you need to take.

  428. I just give you a couple examples.

  429. Second, king Seven Three.

  430. Remember the Four Leppers?

  431. Israel was starving to death.

  432. You know, they were under a blockade because Syria had invaded them.

  433. They were all camped out.

  434. 180,000 Syrians were camped outside of town.

  435. They had stopped all the food from coming in.

  436. They had stopped everything from happening, so there was no food left.

  437. People were starving and the Four Leppers, of course they're worse off than anybody else because they can't mingle among the people there by themselves.

  438. And one of them, you know, looks around and says why sit we here till we die?

  439. Let's get out there among the Syrians.

  440. You know, if we sit here we're surely gonna die.

  441. Why?

  442. Because they know food.

  443. We're gonna starve, and if we go out there, they may kill us or they might not, they might not.

  444. It's the only chance.

  445. Why sit we here till we die?

  446. So they took off and went out there and a bunch of angels they didn't know this, a bunch of angels had scared the Syrians so bad that they had left camp.

  447. They left all their belongings.

  448. They left their, their, their, their inheritances.

  449. They left their money.

  450. Who goes to war with money in their pocket?

  451. I don't really know.

  452. But these guys, they had grandma silver.

  453. You know they had.

  454. You know they had grandpa's gold pocket watch.

  455. I mean, they had all of their, the, the precious things that they brought with them, and they left them in their tents, along with all the food.

  456. And, boy, they started feeding their face.

  457. They started eating potted meat and chocolate pudding and they started just double handfuls and they, they started stuffing their pockets with the gold coins and the and all of that.

  458. And then they said, oh, we better go back and tell the group in the city, otherwise something bad is going to happen to us.

  459. Let's go back and tell them.

  460. And so, sure enough, they did.

  461. And the angel had had scared 180,000 Syrian troops and they went out there and they all were able to eat and they got.

  462. They spoiled their tents.

  463. Are you with me now?

  464. Glory to God, talk about help.

  465. They did something.

  466. What if they had just stayed there and starved?

  467. Deliverance was right there and they didn't see it Because they did nothing.

  468. Do something for God to get involved with.

  469. I mean, if you need to go somewhere, don't you have to get in your car and start it, pull it out of the garage and go down the road and steer it and all of that?

  470. I mean, you know you, the car won't do you any good sitting in the garage, will it?

  471. So you gotta move, alright.

  472. Then another one Second Kings four, a widow her husband was one of the sons of the prophet died without any life insurance.

  473. Not bad to have life insurance.

  474. Never know, things can happen.

  475. Life insurance term insurance is cheaper than it's been in decades.

  476. If you're less than 40 years old, you can buy it for almost nothing and protect your family.

  477. Have a little, you know.

  478. Be wise about these kind of financial.

  479. Well, I don't plan on dying.

  480. I don't know.

  481. Most people don't plan on dying.

  482. That die.

  483. Yes, I tell you, it's a week from Tuesday.

  484. I think I'll die.

  485. No, you don't know.

  486. Most people don't know.

  487. So that's what insurance is anyway.

  488. So she's a broke widow and the creditors.

  489. He run up a bunch of bills and now the creditors are having been paid, they're going to come get her sons as collateral and she's going to be left without anything and her sons won't be there to work for her and keep her cupboards filled, and all of that.

  490. If they're living at home, they can get a job and they can take care of their mother, which is what they're supposed to do as Jewish boys.

  491. But now they're going to be taken into servitude, indentured servants, perhaps even slaves, I really don't know which.

  492. They're both pretty bad.

  493. And whoa, she goes to Elijah what do I do?

  494. What have you got in the house?

  495. I ain't got nothing.

  496. Well, yeah, I got a little pot of oil, but what's that?

  497. He said go borrow some jars, borrow not a few, and pour out of what you've got.

  498. And she started doing that.

  499. So she had to do what she had to do, something.

  500. Did it make any sense at all?

  501. No, but you know what she did, what the Holy Ghost and the person of the prophet told her to do.

  502. A lot of times the Holy Ghost will tell you to do something that makes no sense in the natural.

  503. Do it.

  504. She went out and borrowed as many jars as she could.

  505. I like to say it this way she put them on the drain board, she put them on the back of the toilet, she put them in the bathtub, she put them everywhere in her house until there wasn't another vessel.

  506. There wasn't room for yet another vessel, not another vessel.

  507. There's no more room.

  508. Mama, okay, shut the door.

  509. Quit listening to every Tom, dick and Harry that's talking about the economy, if it's an economic thing.

  510. Quit talking to everybody that's got something bad to say about health and all of that.

  511. Let's shut the door on the devil and let's go in and pour out.

  512. And she poured out of what her little bit.

  513. And she poured out into jars.

  514. And every one of the jars were filled up, filled up, filled up all the way through.

  515. And finally she ran out of jars.

  516. The oil stayed and the prophet said okay, sell the jars of oil, pay your debt and live off the rest.

  517. Glory to God.

  518. What did she do?

  519. She did something that seemed foolish.

  520. She did something that seemed foolish and God met her at the point of her need.

  521. Are you with me now?

  522. Do something for God to get involved with my quick testimony?

  523. In May of 1995, houston was going through a depression, not a recession.

  524. I mean, you know, we had a depression in this town.

  525. I mean because this town is an oil town and oil was like $4 a barrel and this town is a real estate town and I was in real estate.

  526. I'm a home builder.

  527. I had $1.4 million worth of inventory that nobody wanted to buy.

  528. Number one nobody was buying houses because people were being transferred and laid off.

  529. I lived in a subdivision that once had 16 van pools.

  530. Do you remember anybody remember a van pool?

  531. Back in the 80s in Houston we had van pools.

  532. So you know, to save gasoline, the big oil companies, they had it all organized at the office and if you lived in my subdivision and you worked downtown then you could ride the van.

  533. The van would come by and leave for downtown.

  534. Well, I lived on the corner, so the van pool.

  535. There were two or three van stops at my corner each week and I mean van pool after van pool.

  536. So there were 16 van loads of executives that lived just in my subdivision.

  537. That the van pools disappeared why?

  538. Because they all got laid off.

  539. They started moving out of Houston and that created a lot more houses for sale.

  540. So they were used houses for sale.

  541. There were new houses for sale.

  542. Nobody's moving to Houston because oil is at the bottom of the barrel and this town was basically oil.

  543. Are y'all with me now Talk about needing some help?

  544. I needed some help.

  545. So on that May morning, you know I had already sold everything I could sell in the bank that I'd borrowed all this money from to build that $1.4 million worth of houses had put liens on all my personal property.

  546. They put a lien on my personal house, which, by the way, is illegal.

  547. I couldn't even sell my house, even if I wanted to.

  548. I couldn't sell it because they put a lien on it.

  549. I couldn't even give it away to get out from under the payments 14 and three-quarter percent interest on my mortgage.

  550. Are y'all with me now Talking about needing some help?

  551. Did you ever need help?

  552. I needed help.

  553. I mean I liquidated my life insurance that gave me 10 grand.

  554. I mean I just went through, I got rid of, I sold.

  555. I remember I had a bunch of gold coins.

  556. I sold the gold coins into the offering.

  557. I said these gold coins not enough to meet the need must be seed.

  558. I sold them.

  559. I said God, what else can I do?

  560. What else do I do?

  561. And I wasn't hearing anything.

  562. So one morning I got up I said God, I don't know.

  563. I know it's not your fault, I missed you somewhere.

  564. I'm a tither, I'm a giver, but yet here I am in need.

  565. We got bills to pay and no money to pay it.

  566. If I belong in another city doing something totally different, I'm willing.

  567. That's where I got to.

  568. I mean I just wanted to open up everything.

  569. I mean I'm willing to do anything and go anywhere to meet the need that we have.

  570. And 30 minutes later as God is my witness, 30 minutes later, the phone rings and it's my buddy from full gospel business man.

  571. He was a good friend of mine and he had moved to Corpus Christi in January.

  572. He's had been gone four months.

  573. He said, griner, you said the last week I've been praying and you just keep coming up before me.

  574. I mean, what in the world is going on with you?

  575. And I started laughing.

  576. I said well, you'll never guess what.

  577. I just got through praying.

  578. He said what was that?

  579. I said?

  580. I said, god, if I belong in another city doing something totally different, I'm willing.

  581. He's laughed.

  582. He said well, I guess that's what I've been thinking about all this time.

  583. I've got a problem that I need you to come look at.

  584. And so what he was?

  585. He was the president of a commercial real estate organization.

  586. They built office space.

  587. They do office building, commercial strip centers, stuff like that.

  588. But his boss had bought a defunct subdivision and it had vacant lots in it.

  589. It had some raw land at the back it had.

  590. You know it's just dead.

  591. Nothing was happening.

  592. You know they weren't selling any houses.

  593. He couldn't get rid of the lots.

  594. He was just dead in the water, just interest being paid every month on the loan that it took to buy this defunct subdivision.

  595. He said would you come and take a look at it and tell us what you think?

  596. Maybe, maybe you can help us get out from under this thing.

  597. Hey, absolutely.

  598. So you know he paid my air ticket.

  599. I fly to Corpus to give me the tour of the subdivision.

  600. I wrote about a half a dozen things down.

  601. I said these are the things that need to be done right away if you want to get this thing off the bottom dead center.

  602. I said it's just stuck, you've got to get it unstuck.

  603. And I made some pretty you know, aggressive recommendations.

  604. One of the recommendations I made is you've got this vacant land, you've got to develop it and create brand new lots, because no builder is going to come in here and buy one lot over here on this street and, across the subdivision, another lot over here on this street.

  605. They had about eight or 10 lots that were scattered.

  606. There's no builder going to come in there in the middle of a finished neighborhood and build a house unless there's new construction in the back.

  607. I said you're going to have to create new construction and you're going to have to develop those sections of lots back there.

  608. And so they liked what I had to say and it gave them an excuse to go to the bank, borrow more money to develop and says well, okay, the next thing is going to be the president of our, our, our residential development company, because we don't know anything about houses.

  609. We're going to get you, you know so.

  610. Within two months I got a six figure offer and I mean all of my bills paid and I was able to move to corpus or you're with me now.

  611. It took care of every immediate problem that I had.

  612. I was able to pay all my bills, take care of my family or y'all with me?

  613. I what I, what I had to do is I had to get started, had to get moving.

  614. Are y'all with me?

  615. Glory to God, thank God for the Holy Helper.

  616. The Holy Ghost is your ally.

  617. There's help waiting for you.

  618. I don't know what you need today, but there's help waiting for you.

  619. Tap into his help with faith and action.

  620. They hold on the Holy Helper.

  621. Lift your hands and receive today.

  622. Praise God.
