  1. All right, let's all stand up, let's pick our Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

  2. Glory to God.

  3. Let's say this together say heavenly Father, thank God for the Word of God.

  4. I don't know everything, I'm still learning.

  5. I am a student in Holy Ghost University.

  6. I'll never graduate, but I am progressing, line upon line, line upon line, precept upon precept.

  7. Here a little and there a little.

  8. I'm moving up further than I've been.

  9. In Jesus' name, amen.

  10. Let's look at Mark, the first chapter, please.

  11. Gospel of Mark.

  12. That's not Mark Hankins, by the way, it's just Mark.

  13. Don't know his last name, mark, verse 21.

  14. And they went to Capernaum and straight way.

  15. On the Sabbath day, he, that is Jesus, entered into the synagogue and taught.

  16. And there were.

  17. They were astonished at his doctrine, or at his teaching, For he taught them as one that had authority and not as the scribes.

  18. And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit and he cried out saying let us alone.

  19. What have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth, art thou come to destroy us?

  20. I know thee who thou art, the Holy one of God.

  21. And Jesus rebuked him, saying hold your peace and come out of him.

  22. And when the unclean spirit had torn him and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

  23. And they were all amazed in, so much that they questioned among themselves, saying what thing is this?

  24. What new doctrine is this?

  25. For with authority commanded he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

  26. And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

  27. Now, in verse 24, the man with the demons said he said those demons said let us alone.

  28. What have we to do with thee?

  29. Thou Jesus of Nazareth, art, thou come to destroy us.

  30. And Matthew 8, 29, it says have you come to torment us before the time?

  31. Thank God for another perspective they wrote down just a little bit different have you come to torment us before the time?

  32. So we wanna talk tonight about Satan, the defeated foe.

  33. Satan, he is the defeated foe, modern Christianity.

  34. They know nothing about the devil and demon powers, the subdivisions of power.

  35. They don't know anything.

  36. Everything is God, god allowed, god is at fault about everything that happens, and so that's why we need Bible teaching about this subject from time to time.

  37. I don't teach on demons very much, but we need to keep it in the forefront of our thinking because of the ignorance that we have around us.

  38. And people are looking to you because you've already shown yourself as person of the word, and so you've got people watching you that you're not even aware of and you just never know when people will come out and you can help them.

  39. So the demons feared Jesus.

  40. They knew who he was Now, they knew his authority and, according to Matthew 829, which we read too, they knew that their time of ruling over human beings, potentially, was running out.

  41. They didn't think it was time yet, but there is a time it's coming.

  42. Their time is up, not quite yet, but they know their time.

  43. If they knew back 2,000 years ago that their time is short, can you imagine what they feel like right now?

  44. Can you imagine what Satan himself thinks right now?

  45. So you can see the desperate, radical anger he has toward those of us who have knowledge of him and his ways.

  46. But yet Jesus had to deal with the devil.

  47. I mean, the devil went to church.

  48. Did you notice that?

  49. They were not surprised that there was an unclean spirit?

  50. They knew about unclean spirits.

  51. Even the unclean spirit has to come.

  52. So they didn't have any power, they just lived with him.

  53. Oh yeah, there's old Fred over there.

  54. He's got an unclean spirit.

  55. You know, try to be nice to him.

  56. He might manifest here at any moment.

  57. Can you imagine going to church with a person that you know has got an unclean spirit?

  58. We would either get them delivered or we would run them out of here.

  59. I mean, there's just no way.

  60. You're gonna be in this, you're not gonna be in here.

  61. You're not gonna be in here.

  62. Whether we're wondering whether you're gonna manifest or not, jesus is teaching them and he starts to manifest.

  63. Let us alone.

  64. Yeah, I want you to see the picture.

  65. So Jesus himself had to deal with the devil.

  66. He had to deal with temptation.

  67. You know Luke, chapter four.

  68. It talks about how, right after he was filled with the Holy Ghost, the devil and we talked about that this morning the Holy Spirit came and bodily formed like as a dove and came upon him.

  69. And right after that he was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted to the devil 40 days and 40 nights.

  70. The Bible says after this he came in the power of the Spirit in the Galilee.

  71. And what did he do during those 40 days and 40 nights?

  72. He defeated Satan.

  73. Satan was really no match for him.

  74. He was tempted in three areas and a lot of heard people say, oh, he wasn't really tempted.

  75. Well then, the Bible lied.

  76. He was a human being, he was the Son of God, he was a man in order of God and he could be tempted.

  77. He had flesh, like you and I did, and he could be tempted with those three temptations.

  78. They were genuine temptations.

  79. He could have fallen into sin at any of the three, but he did what he used the Word of God.

  80. It is written.

  81. It is written.

  82. So you know.

  83. He just went down the list and each time the devil would tempt him in a different way, he'd just say it is written.

  84. The Word of God, the Ramah of God, directed at the point of demonic attack, is all we need.

  85. We don't have to be afraid of the devil, but we do know how to deal with it.

  86. We need to know how to deal with the devil.

  87. And other people Are you with me now?

  88. So we talked about this, about Heaven's economy, colossians 113,.

  89. How God has delivered us out of the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear son.

  90. He's delivered us out of the power, authority, jurisdiction and control of darkness.

  91. The devil has no jurisdiction over us.

  92. Demons have no jurisdiction over us Doesn't mean we don't have to deal with them occasionally.

  93. Sometimes we have to deal directly with demon powers.

  94. Don't be intimidated.

  95. I mean that's part of the signs of a believer is to cast out demons.

  96. What does it mean?

  97. Cast out?

  98. Make people puke in a bag?

  99. No, it just means to get rid of, to throw them aside.

  100. They're always hindering your way.

  101. That's what the devil does.

  102. He hinders your way.

  103. What do you do?

  104. You get rid of him.

  105. You throw him aside.

  106. Cast him aside.

  107. There's a better rendering than casting out.

  108. We get all these ideas charismatic.

  109. You know pigs in the parlor.

  110. You get in your library.

  111. Throw it away.

  112. It's a stupid book full of baloney.

  113. The Charismatics I like what Brother Hagin said about the Charismatics.

  114. You know it was a legitimate move of God.

  115. The Charismatic move was the move of the Holy Ghost into the denominational churches and so full gospel businessmen.

  116. That was a Charismatic parachurch organization.

  117. It was an organization of businessmen who had gotten filled with the Holy Ghosts that were part of mostly denominational churches Methodist, baptist.

  118. I even had Church Christ.

  119. I had a Church Christ guy Got filled with the Holy Ghost.

  120. Theresa, can you imagine getting filled with the Holy Ghost and a Primitive Baptist church.

  121. She grew up Primitive Baptist.

  122. They didn't have toilets inside that built.

  123. No, I'm just joking, primitive, primitive.

  124. So God delivered us from authority, power, jurisdiction, control of darkness.

  125. And then Colossians 2.15, how Jesus spoiled principalities, powers, rulers of darkness.

  126. He disarmed them, he put them on a bowls display and led them as a public example, much like a Roman general.

  127. That was the mimicry that Paul was using there in Colossians, where the Roman general would go in and defeat an enemy and then bring him back to Rome in a procession of shame and the defeated general of the heathen armies would be led down a parade down the main street and he would be shown to be defeated and they would have all kinds of incense burning and they'd have bowels that they would pass out.

  128. It was a celebration of the defeat of enemies.

  129. And that's exactly what happened when Jesus defeated Satan.

  130. He led him on a train.

  131. They were a train of vanquished foes.

  132. So we know that.

  133. We know it.

  134. You know legally how Jesus defeated the devil.

  135. We know legally that we have been delivered out of his power and translated into the kingdom of his dear son.

  136. All these things are legal facts, but there's that's the legal side of our redemption.

  137. But then there's another side.

  138. I, like EW Kenyon, talks about the legal side of redemption and the vital side, which comes from the Latin in Vichy, which means according to life.

  139. So I would say it this way in normal 21st century English the functional, the functional side, how you live every day.

  140. See, it's one thing to have a legal thing.

  141. See, it's illegal for someone to come across our border, but we have four million people this year, since Biden took over, that are in our country illegally and they're all over our nation.

  142. No record of them.

  143. We don't know who they are.

  144. We don't know what they did in the country where they came from.

  145. Can you imagine what we have in our country right now?

  146. So you know, legal is one thing, but functional is something quite different.

  147. So I see people all the time.

  148. I mean I teach the Bible.

  149. It's legal, but are you living it like it's true?

  150. Is it true in your life?

  151. That's the functional side of redemption.

  152. Everybody say functional.

  153. Are you functioning in what the blood has purchased for you?

  154. It's a good question.

  155. Are you functioning in it, or has the devil attacked you and you don't know how to get rid of him?

  156. And he's got these little thoughts coming into your mind and he's taken over real estate.

  157. People are.

  158. The mental health issues in this country are ballooning out of, almost out of control since the shutdown, the lockdown, the masking up, and especially our children, our children, have been damaged.

  159. So we, you know, listen, this stuff isn't going to go away just because we hope it will.

  160. I mean, we've got we got to understand that the church is who knows how to get rid of the devil.

  161. Moving forward, we're going to see more and more people coming into our church that are demonized, that their problems are caused directly by demon powers.

  162. We better get ready for some meetings kind of like this one we just read about here in more chapter one people speaking out, y'all are looking at me kind of funny.

  163. Nothing's going to happen the night.

  164. I don't know about anybody being here.

  165. Rocco, are you okay?

  166. He'd be the one I'd be concerned about if he was.

  167. I had a lady one time brought a little pregnant girl to the service and I didn't know she was pregnant Till after everything happened down here at the altar.

  168. But she started manifesting during the service and going out and in out and I heard about it.

  169. So you know, brought her up in the prayer line.

  170. So I went down to talk with her, see what was going on with her.

  171. She was probably I don't know how old she was Maybe late teens, early twenties.

  172. And the lady brought her and, you know, had been ministering to her and when I started talking to her she started growling, snarling, sunday morning.

  173. Well, I got on her leg, I jumped in the middle of her like man I mean, she didn't have a chance.

  174. And so brother Pete was on one arm and I forgot who was on the other arm.

  175. We had several ushers and security people holding on to her and she was whipping them around like they were noodles.

  176. They couldn't hold her and she was howling, eyes rolled back in her head, right here Sunday morning, and after just a little bit the devil left her.

  177. She blinked, came back to herself.

  178. She didn't have a chance to hold her.

  179. She didn't have any memory of what happened.

  180. I found out she was four months pregnant.

  181. I really started concerned because I mean, she was yanking our ushers around like they were nothing.

  182. She didn't attack me.

  183. She could have, but she didn't.

  184. The devil in her knew not to touch me, but they were trying to hold her and she just man.

  185. She didn't come back, so it was wild.

  186. So I sat with her and talked to her a while and come to find out she was living at home because of her circumstance and her parents are both in the occult Just some little demon.

  187. Wasn't anything major, but it had been fed for so long and she didn't have anybody to talk to and she wasn't saved and it was just it, built up to a point.

  188. Listen, this is going to get multiplied.

  189. We're going to see people coming in this church.

  190. We better get ready, better not be intimidated by these demon powers or insulted or whatever we're tempted to have.

  191. I mean, this girl got completely delivered.

  192. She was as sweet as she could be, everything was just fine.

  193. She was not offended, she thanked me, she said I, finally I have peace.

  194. I've been having these voices in my mind, just dirty talk all the time, 24, seven.

  195. I can't even sleep.

  196. I said you need to get out from under your parents house.

  197. You need to get someplace.

  198. Well, I just don't have the money.

  199. I said, well, have you got any olive oil in your home?

  200. Olive oil, yeah, olive oil, yeah.

  201. I said, well, get some olive oil, go over the kitchen sink and pour it all over your hands and go through where you live, in your house, on your door and around your room, and just put say, in the name of Jesus, I know my room, I mean, that's all you know.

  202. I don't know that she had faith, but I had faith.

  203. If she had just do what I say to do, she'd be protected where she sleeps until she can get out of that mess.

  204. Talking about the defeated foe, so the legal, everybody say legal versus functional, say we need to know the legal but we need to enforce the functional.

  205. We're not enforcing our border and so functionally we have open borders Even though legally we don't legally, legally it's illegal.

  206. These people are lawless, president, president's a lawless anyway.

  207. All right.

  208. So I got three things here about.

  209. We want to talk about Satan, the defeated foe, and there's three things that you need to remember.

  210. Along those lines, just teaching you simple things that you already know, but we need to be refreshed on a regular basis, especially in the time that we're in now.

  211. Three things that we need to remember Remember now that you're redeemed by the blood you've been delivered from the power, authority, jurisdiction, control of all darkness.

  212. Demons cannot lord it over you Cannot, cannot.

  213. If they do, it's because you've let them somehow or you don't have Bible knowledge.

  214. So Bible knowledge will inoculate you.

  215. It's a great vaccine for the devil.

  216. Bible knowledge, all right.

  217. Number one remember how you are named.

  218. Ephesians 3 15 says that we've all been named, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named Jesus.

  219. Jesus name is the name of our family.

  220. When we got saved, we came into his family.

  221. We took his family name, we, our family name, jesus our family name.

  222. Philippians 2, 9 and 11 says that it's the name above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow.

  223. And then it says a things, and the word things is italicized Things in heaven, things on earth, things under the earth.

  224. It can mean beings, beings above earth, on earth, under the earth it can mean words.

  225. The name of Jesus is above every other word.

  226. Words been spoken over you that are bad.

  227. Name of Jesus is above those words.

  228. Are you with me now?

  229. That's your name.

  230. There's a confidence when you know your family name.

  231. It's the greatest name there is.

  232. I said it's the greatest name there is.

  233. I think we relate to ourselves as members of our own earthly families too much.

  234. I mean.

  235. I'm not saying dishonor your family name or anything like that, but try to see yourself as named in the name of Christ.

  236. That's your main identity.

  237. Your identity is no longer your given name.

  238. I'm not saying deny your parents.

  239. I'm not saying deny your siblings.

  240. I'm not saying relate to all matters of the kingdom as named with the name of Jesus Christ.

  241. This church is more important than your earthly family.

  242. I can hear some of you go.

  243. I don't know about that.

  244. You're sounding like a cult.

  245. I'm giving you the Bible.

  246. What did Jesus do?

  247. When his family showed up and wanted to lead him out to the rubber room, they thought he'd gone crazy.

  248. When he said unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, drink his blood, you have no life in you.

  249. Seventy of his preachers left him.

  250. He asked his disciples the other twelve, are y'all going to also leave?

  251. Peter said well, we would, but we don't have any word to go.

  252. That's not exactly what he said.

  253. Okay, I know that you have the words of eternal life.

  254. So no, they didn't leave him.

  255. You know they were tempted.

  256. 70 preachers walk out.

  257. They were tempted, they didn't.

  258. And so his mother comes, phillip comes.

  259. Hey, jesus, your mother and your brother they're out there, huh, look around the room.

  260. This is my mother, this is my brothers and sisters right here in this room, those people that hear the Word of God and do it.

  261. That's my family.

  262. He didn't even go see his own mother.

  263. Now there had to be a healing.

  264. So when he was hanging on the cross, he told John.

  265. He said woman, behold your son, son, behold your mother.

  266. And he gave his mother care, asked John take care of his mother when he died.

  267. And John did so.

  268. Jesus was not hung up on the blessed Virgin.

  269. Jesus was dedicated to people who hear and obey the Word of God.

  270. He's dedicated to people like you that understand what name it is that you bear, and it's above your family, your given family name.

  271. It's above that.

  272. Are you with me now?

  273. So it would help your faith to always look at yourself in that way and let your priority be kingdom and then your earthly family.

  274. I'm not saying this on them.

  275. Please don't leave here and think I don't think families are important.

  276. I love my family, but I haven't seen my oldest sister since her husband died at the funeral.

  277. That's the last time I laid eyes on Mary Ann.

  278. That's been four years ago and I saw the other sister about the same time.

  279. So that's been four years ago.

  280. So I'm not a guy that sees his family all the time and wonder why?

  281. Because this family takes all the priority in my life.

  282. It's my priority, you're my priority.

  283. My brother I'm a little closer to him, but it's been quite a while.

  284. Six months, eight months.

  285. We used to see each other four, five times a year.

  286. Things are changing Life.

  287. You know, life has a way of changing as you go along the line and I just want you to know this is this is the life I live is right here.

  288. This is my priority.

  289. Are you with me now?

  290. It'll help your faith to know how you're named.

  291. You're named with a family of God.

  292. The whole family on heaven and earth is named with his name.

  293. It's a name above every name.

  294. Number two remember how you were clothed.

  295. Ephesians, chapter six, verses 13 through 17, talks about the whole armor of God.

  296. You're clothed with his armor.

  297. Each piece of the armor is a revelation of how demon powers will attack you.

  298. I was watching a UFC fight.

  299. I like mixed martial arts.

  300. I used to love watching boxing, but now UFC has taken the place of boxing, so I hardly ever watch boxing anymore.

  301. I watch UFC.

  302. I like watching and they have everything.

  303. They have the boxing, they have the wrestling, they have the martial arts, judo, taekwondo, all those things anyway.

  304. So it's an interesting contest.

  305. But wrestling is such that if you can control a person's hips, you can dominate them.

  306. You get them pinned on the mat and don't allow their hips to move, you're gonna win the match.

  307. That's what Jacob had to find out the hard way when he wrestled with the angel to the break of day.

  308. The angel he was getting the worst, the angel was getting the worst.

  309. Jacob was a mean motor scooter and the angel had to touch Jacob's hip and immobilize his hip and then he could win the wrestling match.

  310. And what did he want?

  311. What did Jacob want?

  312. I'm not gonna let you go till you bless me.

  313. Was Jacob blessed?

  314. No, he's not blessed.

  315. He's not blessed.

  316. But you know you have on the.

  317. Your loins are gird about with truth around your hips.

  318. Your loins this is, your loins are gird about with truth.

  319. What is the major thing the devil is doing right now?

  320. Lying to everybody.

  321. Lies and deception are everywhere you look.

  322. If you wanna be immobilized, start believing those lies.

  323. You know we've got to have our loins gird about with the truth of the Word of God and let the Spirit of truth govern Amen.

  324. Having on the breastplate heart over your heart.

  325. Gotta guard your heart.

  326. Right now there's such division in families.

  327. Families are fighting.

  328. Families were coming into a Christmas season.

  329. I pray you survive Thanksgiving, but it's getting worse and worse to even sit down together because our loved ones, many of them are, drank the Kool-Aid.

  330. I'll just say it that way.

  331. Well, you just have to stay sweet.

  332. You may not be able to convert them, you may not be able to reason with them and you may not be able to, and so I just suggest just pray in the Holy Ghost a lot before you get together with them and then try to have a sweet attitude as best you can, and you don't have to bow and scrape and apologize for how you live.

  333. You live how you live.

  334. They don't like it.

  335. Then that's when you got to realize what name your name.

  336. See, it goes back to your name.

  337. Is that the center of your identity?

  338. Is your family name down here, or is this name the Jesus name?

  339. Is that gonna see?

  340. That's why I'm talking about this.

  341. All it's all hooked together.

  342. Really, gotta have a different identity.

  343. If your identity is your family.

  344. Well, we've always listen, I always we had family stuff every week.

  345. My wife, when we first got married and we moved to Houston, it was every weekend and she said you know, I'm not going anywhere this weekend, we're gonna hang around the apartment.

  346. We lived in an apartment at the time.

  347. We had four kids.

  348. We'd have the kids.

  349. I said what am I gonna?

  350. I don't have an excuse.

  351. She said just, you don't need an excuse, you're an adult.

  352. Tell your mother you're not available this weekend.

  353. I don't wanna go to Conroad Hang out with your relatives.

  354. Well, I don't either.

  355. Were you teller.

  356. I didn't say that.

  357. You know, I didn't say that.

  358. But we had to just kinda, you know, we had to just come on.

  359. We're newlyweds, we don't need to hang around y'all every week.

  360. We've got our own lives, we've got our own schedule and I had to start drifting away from my family.

  361. It was all love, but it's smothering.

  362. Some of you are looking like I'm crazy.

  363. Gotta, have good boundaries.

  364. Gotta have, erect some fences, have some boundaries, amen.

  365. So guard your spirit, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel.

  366. It's where you walk and how you walk.

  367. You gotta walk with the Lord, you gotta walk right.

  368. And that's another thing about families Some of your families not living for God.

  369. So you're gonna hang around them while they get half drunk on the holidays.

  370. You know you're gonna have to decide.

  371. I said you're gonna have to decide.

  372. Call these helmet of salvation at your mind.

  373. People are having mental trouble right now because of the lockdowns.

  374. The only offensive weapon is what?

  375. The sword of the spirit, which is what the reima, the reima, the reima of God.

  376. You're tempted sometimes to have a problem, and you've got a problem and you know so much scripture you could just quote the logos.

  377. But I challenge you when you have a issue, a circumstance, a sickness, something that's attacking you, what did Jesus have?

  378. He had the reima, not the logos.

  379. The logos is.

  380. You need the logos every day.

  381. Store the logos up inside of your mind and your heart and then the Holy Spirit can bring it out as a reima when you need it.

  382. That reima is necessary.

  383. You've got to have a reima of God.

  384. That means you've got to have a prayer life.

  385. You've got to hang around God long enough for him to speak something to you.

  386. I was talking to somebody this morning that had a health issue.

  387. They really I mean they've got some issues that they're having to believe.

  388. And so I asked them.

  389. I said well, what about you, ray?

  390. He told me what the reima was.

  391. I said man, I rejoice, praise God, I know he's got all kinds of healing.

  392. You've got healing cards, scriptures, 20, some all healing script.

  393. That's great.

  394. You can do that, I suggest.

  395. But let the spirit of God give you a reima so you could stick the devil with it, stick that circumstance, Slice it, shoo, shoo, amen.

  396. So remember how your clothe, remember, you know the seven sons of Sceva.

  397. They tried to do what Jesus did.

  398. They tried to encounter the devil and get rid of the devil.

  399. And they went up to this boy that had demons and they said, in the name of Jesus that Paul preaches Acts, chapter 19,.

    Acts 19 chapter mention

  400. In the name of Jesus that Paul preaches, come out.

  401. And the boy looks at them and said and the demons speaking through the boy?

  402. Have you ever heard of demons speaking through somebody?

  403. It's kind of like a movie that you don't want to see, but anyway.

  404. So Jesus I know and Paul I know, but who are ye?

  405. And that young man jumped on the seven sons and beat them and stripped them naked and they fled naked and wounded from that scene when one man jumped on them.

  406. So what was the problem?

  407. Well, they didn't look like Jesus.

  408. They didn't have the whole armor of God on them, they didn't have the identity, they didn't have his name, they weren't named with his name.

  409. They didn't look like him.

  410. They weren't clothes like him.

  411. But when you got on the whole armor of God and you know who you are and what your name is, you look just like him and you are.

  412. I'm telling you, you're the devil's worst nightmare.

  413. You have nothing to be afraid of.

  414. We're gonna have to have a church like that, so where we won't be intimidated when people like that walk in the door.

  415. They're gonna walk in the door.

  416. We're open for business.

  417. You're welcome, unless you have demons.

  418. Otherwise, please go down the street to the Baptist church.

  419. No, I'm not saying that they haven't done all to stand.

  420. Stand there for having your whole armor on.

  421. When it gets all back down to when everything's right down to the bottom line of all of it is, it's your name and your clothing.

  422. How are you clothed?

  423. You gotta remember what your clothing is.

  424. You gotta remember what your name is.

  425. And then the last one is where you're seated.

  426. You have a seating.

  427. I said you have a seating.

  428. Ephesians, chapter two, verse six.

  429. We're seated at the right hand of the Father.

  430. Jesus died to place us right there.

  431. We're in Christ, at the right hand of the Father.

  432. We're in Christ.

  433. See the whole message that I'm preaching tonight about these demonic powers.

  434. Satan, the defeated flow, is only defeated in the idea that you know who you are.

  435. You've gotta know who you are, not just legally, but functionally.

  436. You function from the right hand of the Father.

  437. You're never underneath.

  438. You're never under the gun.

  439. You're never down in the valley.

  440. You're never low.

  441. I'm so low today, you know you're not up and down and in and out.

  442. No, you're always on top.

  443. That doesn't mean that your emotions are on top.

  444. Your emotions may be on the floor.

  445. It doesn't matter how you feel about anything.

  446. See these great men and women of God that we stand on their shoulders now, in the 21st century.

  447. They had to learn all this and apply all of this without a whole lot of anybody to father them.

  448. Help.

  449. Look at Smith Wigglesworth, who was his father in the faith.

  450. I mean, who taught him?

  451. See, he couldn't even read.

  452. Talk about reading your Bible.

  453. He couldn't even read when he first started.

  454. The only goes to teach him how to read his Bible.

  455. Ah, what would you do if you had to just start like that Pick up the Bible, you don't have to read, you can't read.

  456. The newspaper, you can't read I mean, they can't read.

  457. Plumber, uneducated, I wonder how his plumbing was.

  458. But anyway, he said I'm not moved by what I see, I'm not moved by how I feel, I'm only moved by what I believe, and I believe the Word.

  459. Boy.

  460. What a statement, see.

  461. So we got to get out of the idea of our emotions ruling us and reigning over us and all of how we feel about something and all of that.

  462. No, it's not about that.

  463. We're seated, and we're seated far above Not just above, but far above, far above what Principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this present age?

  464. That pretty well covers it.

  465. That covers every little hairy, purple striped demon that's sitting trying to sit on your shoulder.

  466. That's usually the demons that we encounter there.

  467. They flunked out of Africa, they took passage across the sea and got over to America.

  468. It was so hard to live over in Africa because they know I mean Africans know about the darkness, they know the spirits of darkness, and when Africans get saved and filled with the Holy Ghost demons.

  469. They can't exist.

  470. They have to go somewhere else.

  471. We get all the flunks they flunked.

  472. Where are you seated?

  473. You're seated at the father's right hand.

  474. Did you do anything to deserve it?

  475. No, it's all given to you as a gift when you got saved.

  476. I'm going to wrap up with my.

  477. Have I told you my Gigi and Charles story lately?

  478. Well, I got to tell you this because it just fits right here about Satan, the defeated foe.

  479. I was four, I think, and lived in Glenna Park at 2006 Second Street and my best friend lived across the street.

  480. His name was Glenn.

  481. It really the real pronunciation of his name is A-Bear, because they're from Louisiana H-E-B-E-R-T, but they said Hebert.

  482. They didn't want to be Cajun, so they changed the.

  483. They changed the name sounded, but it was really A-Bear.

  484. We knew that because my grandma was Cajun, so we can't hide from us.

  485. Okay, so, but her dad was a World War II vet, had a wooden leg and that's kind of gross.

  486. I mean, I saw him a few times with just his stump and you know your four and you look at that and you go.

  487. It was kind of spooky.

  488. It was just right across the street, you know, and he was, you know, he probably had PTSD was weird.

  489. They owned a skating rink.

  490. Yeah, that was their business, they owned a skating rink.

  491. And so Gigi I don't know how he got that name His name was Glenn A-Bear, but I called him Gigi, probably because I knew him when I was little and couldn't say Glenn, so I probably said Gigi.

  492. I don't know, gigi was his name, so I called him Gigi, and so we played together on a regular basis and a dream came true when his father ordered dirt and dumped a load of dirt in his front yard.

  493. You've never, I mean two, four year old boys with trucks.

  494. I mean, we got these little toy trucks.

  495. Man, we were in heaven.

  496. We were out there in that dirt pile playing, having the biggest time, and you know, we anyway.

  497. So we were just having a great time.

  498. So his older brother was the same age as my older brother.

  499. My older brother, bob Bobby in those years I called him was 12 and Charles, his older brother, was 12.

  500. And so Charles, his older brother, comes out the door and sees us having a good time.

  501. He can't stand it.

  502. So he comes over there and we had dug tunnels with our hands way back up in the dirt, you know, and we had tunnels and we had the trucks going in the tunnel and coming out of the tunnel on the other side and we were man, we were having the biggest time, and he went over there and kicked our tunnels in and broke one of my trucks, crushed it under his foot.

  503. And you know me, being the youngest of my family, I you know I was used to saying whatever came into my mind.

  504. I wasn't afraid of him.

  505. I did, was too dumb to be afraid of him, and so I said something smart, alec, and he threatened me, you know, and I did get scared, but I was really mostly disappointed that he'd ruined our play time.

  506. So I just started walking across the street, go home.

  507. I got to the middle of the street and he had picked up a dirt claw they go hard piece of dirt like that through it and hit me right in the back of the head.

  508. Boy.

  509. I started screaming and hollering, holding my head.

  510. I didn't know if I was bleeding, and I screamed all the way into the front door.

  511. My mother come running up there, what, what happened, what?

  512. Charles hit me in the head with a walk and my brother, bobby, was there and standing there and he said what.

  513. Charles hit me in the head with a walk.

  514. You know I still crying.

  515. So my brother, before my mother could stop him, went out the front door and I straightened up.

  516. I figured I want to, I want to see this.

  517. This is, this might be worth.

  518. Suddenly it wasn't as painful as it had been.

  519. So I looked out the Venetian blinds on the couch, knelt on the couch, looked out the Venetian blinds out the front window and my brother just walked calmly across the street, went up right up this sidewalk and Charles, you know he wasn't the brightest light on the tree.

  520. You know, charles, if it had been me, I think I would have, after I've hit a four year old with a rock in the head, I think I'd have gone in the house.

  521. But not Charles.

  522. He's sitting out there on the front porch just like no problem, no problem.

  523. And here comes the kid's older brother down the sidewalk, which I know they knew.

  524. Each other went to school together and my brother walked right up to the front porch and wear it back and slapped him open palm right across his face.

  525. Wham, I even heard.

  526. I mean I heard it.

  527. It echoed across the street and, man, I was proud of my brother.

  528. I had no idea my brother even loved me.

  529. I didn't think he cared about me at all.

  530. We fought all the time.

  531. I was his biggest pain.

  532. Now, my sisters were nicer, but my brother, I was the youngest and he just, I didn't know, he cared and he was over there defending me.

  533. Swap, whap, hit Charles, and Charles starts screaming and hollering and running in the house looking for his mom.

  534. I'm a mom, I'm a mom, I'm a mom.

  535. Hit me in the face.

  536. So, man, that was so cool.

  537. So several days went by.

  538. You know how you're four years old you don't think about anything after it happens, you don't?

  539. I didn't think anything more about it.

  540. But about three or four days later I look out there and there's that dirt pile.

  541. I'm thinking, man, we had such fun.

  542. So I took my what was left of my toys and I walked back across the street, knocked on the front door.

  543. Gigi comes to the door.

  544. Thank God it wasn't Charles, but anyway.

  545. Gigi comes out and say hey, you wanna play in the dirt?

  546. Yeah, so we got to play it in the dirt Like nothing had happened.

  547. But something had happened.

  548. And so Charles come out.

  549. He was not happy to see me at all.

  550. And he still had a big old welt across a hand print right across his cheek and there's a little bit of a bag of stuff when my brother had hit him with his open.

  551. And thank God he didn't hit him with a fist that would've been bad, but it was bad enough anyway.

  552. And he kinda growled and looked at me and I wasn't a bit intimidated because I knew who I was, I knew what my name was and I knew who my older brother was.

  553. I knew what my older brother had done to this bully and I just looked at him you know, like what are you doing?

  554. And then I looked across the street like that.

  555. And then I looked back at him and he's kind of changed expressions and he just meekly went right back in the house and left us alone.

  556. And let me tell you something our older brother has done something greater for us.

  557. He has destroyed the devil and demon powers.

  558. We have absolutely nothing, nothing whatsoever, to fear.

  559. Amen, praise God.

  560. Did you get anything out of this tonight?

  561. Amen, hallelujah, come on, let's praise him.

  562. Glory to God.
