Pick up our bibles, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.
-
Let's say this together say heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be in church.
-
I know it's Super Bowl Sunday, but a lot more important things are going on.
-
The kingdom of God is moving and I'm moving along with it according to its precepts.
-
My season has been extended and I'm so glad to be in the game.
-
And the last day in Jesus' day, amen, praise God, oh, my hallelujah.
-
Let's turn on our bibles to John, chapter five, gospel of John.
-
Last week we talked about staying ready for surprises and it was really kind of a history lesson of this church and what God has shown me about the last days and our role as a regional center and why we talk about politics and why we talk about current events and why we speak about it and pray against certain things.
-
You know why God showed me a long time ago that it's correct to pray against certain things.
-
I think most of the church prays wrong.
-
They just take one verse out of its context and they pray for our elected leaders, for God to bless them.
-
I never do that.
-
I pray against them.
-
When they're like Biden, I pray against him every day.
-
I cry against what he's doing.
-
What he's doing is criminal.
-
I mean, there's nowhere in the Bible that says we ought to pray for despots and people like that.
-
There's no record that anybody prayed for heretics, that they prayed in tongues and a few weeks later he was eating of worms and died.
-
Why don't you read your Bible?
-
That's New Testament, the book of Acts.
-
Here I go again, praise the Lord, but it is news to a whole lot of Christians and I told you about that.
-
I mean, we'd probably be a mega church by now if we just stuck with the message that God gives most people, and that is that God's a good God.
-
Well, he is a good God and because he is a good God, we ought to be a good enough church to stand up for what's good and speak against evil.
-
That's kind of simple to me.
-
I don't know why it's so complicated for some folk.
-
But today I wanna kinda do the same thing, but in regard to healing, because, as a regional center where we have this governmental authority I think I made the case last week executive, legislative and judicial, co-equal branches of government.
-
We think about earthly government, but there is a government of the kingdom of God that the church.
-
I believe the church has abdicated in many cases not all cases, but many cases has abdicated its responsibility.
-
And even the ones that do try to put their toe in the water, they don't do it bold enough and often enough to make much of a difference, but we're just leading by however God wants us to lead.
-
Nobody was following for the longest time and then suddenly I got 10,000 people across the country listening.
-
It's pretty amazing to me.
-
I don't know about you, but it's pretty amazing to me.
-
But I wanted to go the same route with healing.
-
Healing seems to be, seems to have fallen out of favor in the church.
-
Most people that I talk to, people all the time.
-
We have new faces that have shown up and they go to.
-
They have come out of churches that never, ever, lay hands on the sick.
-
That's not done.
-
I know a church and I know the pastor well and his idea of praying for the sick is if you're sick, hang around after the service and we'll send somebody.
-
After the service is over, after we have the dismissal prayer, everybody else is gonna go home and we'll send somebody out here to pray for you.
-
So the message is if you're sick, it's your fault and we don't really wanna be involved, we don't care enough about you to even do what the Bible says lay hands on the sick.
-
And so we've just never been that way, never have been that way.
-
And a few years ago God gave me this.
-
You could call it a brand, you could call it a phrase.
-
I believe it's reality, houston's Healing Center.
-
And when I say that Gloria Sway Church is Houston's Healing Center, I'm not casting aspersions on any other churches.
-
Some churches have healing, but most don't, let's face it, most don't.
-
So I don't mean that we're exclusively Houston's Healing Center, but you know we are one.
-
You know.
-
Just think about the medical center.
-
And up until this pandemic, in this phony, baloney way of reacting to this virus that's unprecedented in our entire history.
-
We've had all kinds of communicable diseases in our history we've never, never responded to one of them like this one.
-
Not one.
-
That's right, that's right.
-
And so I'm not really sure if Houston's Medical Center is as renowned today as it used to be.
-
But I'm telling you, you know, in its heyday people came from all over the world.
-
If you wanted to see somebody from some other country, just go to the medical center.
-
They're walking the halls of those hospitals.
-
They come here from all over the world to a renowned place.
-
I think people that live in Houston don't understand what a center of medicine this place is, but I mean the first heart transplants right here, probably the preeminent cancer hospital in the world and I don't know if that's true anymore, but it was MD Anderson Been here 50 years and so this there's more than one hospital at the medical center, so there's more than one healing center in Houston, but I call it Houston's Healing Center.
-
I just believe that we're one of them and I want to make that case for those of you that need to remind yourselves of where you're going to church and why you come to church here.
-
Some of the benefits we're having discovery classes right now for people that are interested in knowing more about our church make a decision whether they want to be part of this church, and we like to offer classes and discussions.
-
So this morning at nine was the second one of those.
-
The third one is next week and then after that we're going to have a commitment Sunday where I commit to you as your pastor everyone that wants to decide to join up with us.
-
But it's good to know what kind of a church you have and what are the ways you can access the benefits.
-
I mean, you know, church membership is a benefit.
-
It's not like the Rotary Club, it's not like the you know, not the Lions Club.
-
Amen, this is something that is a spiritual, that benefits, that impacts your health, your wealth, your mind.
-
Yes, yes.
-
So I want to give you some thoughts this morning in the word, but I also want to talk about some of the miracles.
-
I mean, I started trying to remember some of them and, I'll be honest, I used to do a better job.
-
We used to have a file filled with documented miracles.
-
When anybody like, let's just say, somebody goes to the doctor, a woman goes to the doctor and they find out that the diagnostics say they've got a tumor, and then they come up for prayer and that tumor disappears, that's a documented miracle.
-
So we would have a copy of the X-ray, a copy of the thing.
-
We had a file.
-
I can't find it.
-
We can't find it now.
-
It's you know, whatever.
-
You know how it goes 27 years.
-
Sometimes things get.
-
It's probably stuffed in some file cabinet somewhere.
-
We'll find it, but I got to ask it and try to remember.
-
Now I can remember recent ones.
-
We're going to talk about some recent ones without using anybody's names, because we don't have their permission.
-
I didn't want to wait around to get your permission, so I'm not going to use your name.
-
It's okay If you hear me talking about you.
-
I'm not using your name, but I feel like anything happens in this building is ours to talk about and to brag about Amen, bragg on God, bragg on Jesus, not us.
-
And so we're going to talk about some of those.
-
But I look there's there's such a need for healing, especially now.
-
I tell you it's.
-
It impacts membership of this church, impacts your whole life, and it's going to be more so now than ever before, and I my heart hurts for the people that are that have been forced out of their churches because their church closed their doors and some of them never did open again.
-
Probably ought to never open again If they're that chicken.
-
Weren't determined enough.
-
I mean I just well, but our state?
-
Well, why don't you sue your governor?
-
We did, Didn't even have to get to court.
-
He changed just like that.
-
As soon as you saw the lawsuit, boom.
-
I believe that's part of the regional center anointing.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
And so, in a similar way.
-
I mean, I just believe.
-
If we'll believe it, see it.
-
If you don't believe any of this, it won't really do you much good, cause you know faith.
-
You have to believe in your heart and speak it with your mouth.
-
Brother Hagin, god Jesus appeared to him one time and put his index finger of his right hand in the palm of brother Hagin's right hand, in his left hand and his hands burned like coals of fire and he said from now on, gifts of healing will be on you when you're in this spirit.
-
It doesn't mean that he constantly had that, it was only as the spirit wells.
-
First Corinthians 12.
-
That's a gift of the spirit, the gifts of healings.
-
And then he talked to him about also the discerning of spirits would operate.
-
And he said now, when you go to a church, you tell them what I did and if they will believe that when they come to the altar they'll be healed.
-
So some people think, well, he just bragging on himself.
-
He bragging, I don't brag on, he's the one that gave everything.
-
I'm just.
-
I'm just a messenger boy.
-
I mean, do we throw a party for FedEx when we get a wonderful gift in the mail Somebody?
-
Oh, you're so wonderful.
-
Thank you for these flowers.
-
Oh no, we just, you know, we get the find out who signed the card, that's who gets all the credit, not the FedEx guy, not the FTC forest.
-
Hey, man, I'm reminding y'all.
-
Man, it's a tomorrow's the day.
-
Okay, you waited this long, you waited too long, I think.
-
I think roses have gone up to about $5,000, a good dozen.
-
Now there's the supply chain problem.
-
That's another trick that they've come up with.
-
Well, the supply chain's interrupted.
-
We have no ketchup for your fries, sorry, when are you going to get to pray?
-
I don't know, I'm enjoying myself, I'm sorry.
-
Okay, we'll read John.
-
You gotta find John, chapter five, verse one.
-
Now, after this was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
-
And now there is it, jerusalem by the sheep market, a pool which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
-
And this is John, chapter five.
-
Isn't that kind of tricky.
-
There, five, five, and so in these lay, a great, in these porches, they, five of them, in these lay, a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, hall, withered, waiting for the moving of the waters.
-
I've seen that, not in Jerusalem, but in New Delhi the blind, the hall, the withered oh what a sight laying emaciated, so sick they can't lift their head up, waiting for hours until the crusade, the healing crusade, starts so they could somehow some way get healed.
-
They heard there was going to be healing.
-
That's kind of the picture you have here.
-
They're laying there because, why?
-
Because an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water.
-
Whosoever then, first, after the troubling of the water stepped in, was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
-
And a certain man was there which had an infirmity 38 years when Jesus saw him lie and knew that he had been now a long time.
-
In that case he saith unto him will thou be made whole?
-
In other words, one translation says are you willing to be well?
-
Do you want to be well?
-
What a question.
-
I mean, he's laying there for the whole purpose of getting well.
-
But he's, you know, the only person that got healed.
-
In that great everybody say great multitude, there's just one person at a time that gets healed.
-
So one person out of a great multitude gets healed and the rest of the great multitude go unhealed.
-
Think about how that makes you feel, time after time.
-
And we don't know how often this was.
-
Was it once a week?
-
Was it once a month?
-
Was it once a quarter?
-
Was it once a year?
-
Was it once a five?
-
We don't know.
-
It must have been often enough for people to just go down there and just stay there.
-
Will you be made whole?
-
Are you willing to be made whole?
-
And verse seven, the impotent man answered him sir, I have no man.
-
I have no man when the water is troubled to put me into the pool, but when I am coming another step it down before me.
-
Jesus saith unto him rise, take up thy bed and walk.
-
And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked.
-
And on the same day was the Sabbath.
-
And so I want to share with you eventually, when I get to it, three healing truths.
-
But I want to just spend a little time getting you to understand about this church in its 27 years, and that we have a history of amazing miracles, some that are initiated by God.
-
You've heard me say this Brother Hagin taught us this but there are 19 different healing miracles recorded in the four gospels.
-
Some are in there more than once, but if you add them all up, there's 19.
-
And 12 out of the 19 mentioned.
-
The faith of the person that gets healed must be pretty important.
-
Your faith, I mean he told the woman with the issue of blood, go your way.
-
Your faith has made you whole.
-
Be whole of your plague.
-
Your faith has made you whole.
-
Not my goodness, not my anointing, not my doctor divinity, your faith has made you whole.
-
So 12 out of the 19 talk about the faith of the person who got healed.
-
But here in John, chapter five, there is no record of the impotent man that's laying there having any faith whatsoever.
-
In fact, there's no record of any of this great multitude of people having any faith.
-
So it was God initiated.
-
You don't think the devil was there initiating the healing, do you?
-
Do you think the devil?
-
The devil is the one that put all that on him?
-
Do you think he's going to heal anybody?
-
I've heard people say oh yeah, I was the devil healing.
-
If he makes you sick, he can take the sickness.
-
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard More excuses for your doubt and unbelief.
-
The Word of God is the remedy for doubt and unbelief.
-
So God initiated this healing.
-
Jesus sought the man.
-
Out of that great multitude he found one person and said will you be made whole.
-
Sir, I don't have a man.
-
He's looking for a man.
-
And the man was standing right there.
-
He still didn't know when we keep reading that chapter.
-
He did not know it was Jesus.
-
He didn't know he was the Messiah.
-
He knew nothing about it, zero.
-
So that proves he had zero faith.
-
I tell you, god loves people.
-
He so loved the world.
-
He gave his only begotten Son.
-
He loves every sinner.
-
He loved Hitler, he loved Stalin.
-
He loved all these mass murderers.
-
He loves all of them.
-
Every one of them could have been saved or healed and or healed.
-
I've seen the worst sinners healed and then go away.
-
A sinner and not even get saved Happened to be a number of times when we'd go do healing crusades in India or healing crusades in Philippines.
-
Those are two places I have more experience with.
-
I have had a little bit in Canada and a little bit in Mexico, but Most of my experience has been in those other two places.
-
I mean we never give an altar call for salvation first.
-
We get people healed first and then, once they're healed and they testify, then we get out on altar, call for the salvation.
-
People come rushing to the altar and get saved.
-
Healing is God's dinner bell, amen.
-
And so here Jesus initiated this healing Rise, take up your bed and walk.
-
And the guy had no faith, but he got his healing.
-
Why?
-
Because God wanted.
-
He wanted some way.
-
Even though this is mostly Jewish people, they all have a covenant with God.
-
Jehovah Rapha is who he had revealed himself, the seven covenant names of God God had revealed himself.
-
And that's all in the Bible.
-
It's all in the Word of God for them to know that.
-
But they didn't know it, just like the modern church, even in America, especially America.
-
If there's ever a church on the face of the planet that ought to know about God's healing power, it's the American church.
-
We've had literacy for a lot longer than a lot of these developing nations.
-
Most of the developing nations, of the populations, are poor.
-
They're ignorant.
-
They're unable to read and write.
-
They have at least an excuse not to know, but we don't have any excuse.
-
Why is it that the church is so ignorant of its covenant?
-
We're following right along with Israel.
-
Israel was ignorant of their covenant and guess what had happened to them?
-
It cost them dearly.
-
It's gonna cost a lot of folks.
-
Read your Bible in Revelation, chapter two and three.
-
Those two chapters are written to the seven churches of Asia Minor and actually they're written to the pastors of those churches, and Jesus had a simple message to those pastors.
-
Five out of the seven heard this message repent or else.
-
And then he mentions the or else, and the or else is not something that you would want to happen to you, but I'm convinced there's gonna be a whole lot of these kinds of churches and pastors that are gonna suffer needlessly because they've thrown away God's word and God's spirit.
-
That's why I'm preaching this and that's why we've been in existence all these years.
-
I thank God for the background I have in the Word of Faith and I don't apologize for believing.
-
You can have what you said.
-
I don't apologize for laying hands on the sick, speaking in tongues and casting out devils.
-
Don't apologize, you don't understand that.
-
Well, I'm just so sorry.
-
Why don't you read your Bible?
-
It's all in there.
-
Yeah, when my pastor said that passed away.
-
Well, did he pass away?
-
He's probably gonna pass away pretty soon.
-
They hadn't already, because he's the pastor of the church.
-
He's the reason they hadn't already, because he's a dummy Pass away.
-
So I just think about the way we started.
-
I mean the very first service.
-
I mean, we just did what we were taught at Lakewood we always laid hands on the sick.
-
We never had a service, never had a service, never had a service, never had a service when there wasn't an altar call for sick people to come up and people delegated to be in the front to receive them.
-
You know it couldn't spend all day long doing it.
-
You've got a crowd of thousands of people.
-
You'd have several hundred people coming up to the altar every service Sunday morning, sunday night, wednesday night.
-
So Gladys and I were honored to get to be part of that group that prayed for people and so I began to perfect.
-
The gifts in us began to.
-
You know, the more we exercised those gifts, the more they flowed, the more knowledge we had.
-
We do the same thing here.
-
We have a life team members.
-
We delegate that authority and that anointing to them to lay hands on people and it works.
-
And we have just as many miracles under their hands as we do ours in the church service.
-
It's amazing All the things that God has done.
-
It's a great year, 27 year.
-
I think one of the most outstanding miracles I've ever seen in my life was a young granddaughter of one of our members had been born with a hole in her heart and she the doctor said look, we can't operate on it now, wouldn't do any good.
-
She's growing and it would probably kill her if we did anything.
-
You're gonna have to really watch her because she's got this hole.
-
We can't do anything too.
-
She'll have to be older, by 10 years old.
-
And so they watched her, you know, and she was behind, being able to play with other little kids and didn't have the energy and so forth.
-
With this hole in her heart, her pumping was inefficient.
-
So her grandmother came to this church and so she got to be 10 years old and they did some tests.
-
Yeah, we've got to do it now.
-
Now's the time.
-
She may not make it through the surgery.
-
It's a very difficult, tough surgery.
-
We can't tell you what the result, we just know she'll die if she doesn't have the surgery.
-
So they decided they would go forward.
-
So her grandmother brought her.
-
She just during the week, and Gladys and I just saw her in the lobby.
-
She was here doing some other things, had her granddaughter with her, so Gladys and I just laid hands on her in the lobby and so they went for one last battery of tests and all the mother and her and the mother didn't come to our church, just the grandmother, and they were really, just really believing that again, get your eyes off of doctors, get it on Jesus, don't be moved by the tests.
-
Diagnostics, that's all the natural.
-
God works in the supernatural.
-
All healing is spiritual first and then it impacts the physical.
-
So you can't go by diagnostic tests.
-
That's what doctors do.
-
When doctors do a test, that's not reality, that's just the flesh.
-
What's reality?
-
This is reality right here.
-
He himself bear our sicknesses and took our infirmities.
-
That's Trump's.
-
The MRI, the PET scan, the financial report.
-
Are you all with me?
-
Easier said than done, but anyway, and to their utter, they were so discouraged.
-
Oh, the doctors, yeah, she's got to have the surgery, the scheduled surgery for the next week.
-
And the grandmother came and I said well, quit, looking at the doctor, god's not done.
-
And so the doctor said now send a nurse out every 30 minutes, give you an update, but I'm gonna be in there seven, eight, maybe 10 hours.
-
It's a long, complicated, tough surgery and I just want to prepare you.
-
I don't, I can't tell you from looking at the damage in this heart and I just don't just steal yourself.
-
In other words, he just basically he was a believer too.
-
He prayed over his surgery too before he started.
-
That's kind of cool.
-
When you get a heart doctor, that's pediatric cardiologist, that's saved.
-
But anyway, it wasn't even 30 minutes.
-
He comes walking out of there with his funny look on his face and they thought he, she dead.
-
They didn't.
-
I mean, that's you know, they didn't have a whole lot of faith and he said I don't know what to tell you, but you got your miracle.
-
He said something, told me to run one more test and what he did was he from what they're described?
-
It was a transesophageal echocardiogram, which I've had a couple of, those where you swallow a, a a sensor that goes down your esophagus and it takes a moving picture of the backside of your heart, which is always a little bit hazy.
-
And he wanted a better look at the hole that they were gonna close.
-
And when he did, there was no hole.
-
No surgery, no surgery, no surgery, no surgery, no surgery, no surgery.
-
Came out of anesthesia and they wanted to hold her there and run a bunch of tests they had saw.
-
They saw her medical file before surgery.
-
He brought out her file, sat it on his desk.
-
It was six inches tall, of all the tests that she'd had since she was born until she's 10 years old, and God healed her.
-
Come on, let's raise, let's lift our hands.
-
That's probably one of the most outstanding miracles I've ever seen documented.
-
I mean, she ought to be the subject of a whole lot of medical journals, but my guess is they wouldn't wanna delve too deeply into that.
-
You know, recently on a Sunday night during praise and worship, I just had in my heart two ladies that were in the service that night.
-
I won't say which ones they were or who they were, I'm just gonna keep everything anonymous, but they're both here today and I just saw myself ministering to them.
-
Many times when I have an unction like that, I don't even really know exactly what it's all about.
-
One I knew what it was about.
-
The other one I didn't know what it was exactly what it was about, but when I just go that direction.
-
So after praise and worship I called them both up here.
-
I ministered to the one that had I knew that had a procedure.
-
I said God wants to do a little cleanup.
-
And I wasn't.
-
I was purposely vague because I didn't want to embarrass.
-
And then the other one.
-
I knew there was a spirit of infirmity and I, you know, I've known this person for a long time, been coming to this church a long time, 20 plus years and I knew that there had been a series of medical issues, autoimmune diseases, all kinds of just a lot of stuff and recently she'd had thyroid cancer.
-
They had to remove her thyroid gland.
-
It was horrible surgery.
-
She had a tough time getting over it.
-
All the complications couldn't swallow, you know, and this, that and the other finally had gotten a lot better, feeling better, and suddenly she got news that there was another lesion on the same site where they had removed her thyroid.
-
And I knew that much.
-
I didn't know that.
-
I knew this time.
-
I knew there was a demon power and I was able to name three of these demon powers.
-
You're looking at me like well see, it's the gift of discerning of spirits.
-
Not every disease or infirmity is directly caused by demons, but indirectly, all diseases from the devil.
-
God doesn't give any diseases.
-
He has no diseases to give out.
-
He's against disease, he's against sickness.
-
Are you with me now?
-
A lot of people don't know that I've got a cousin, a distant cousin.
-
I don't even know the man.
-
I've never met him, but he'd been run over by a train last week.
-
He lost an arm and a leg and the other leg is mangled, but his head and his torso is okay.
-
He's in his right mind, I guess, for being run over by a train.
-
And so the family asked us to pray.
-
Romans 828,.
-
All things work together for good for them.
-
That love the Lord, my God, is that all you can pray for a guy that just lost his leg and his arm Is all things work.
-
In other words, god did it and God's gonna work something good out of it.
-
We don't understand the ways of God.
-
You know, god let this happen for a reason.
-
No, he didn't let it happen.
-
He walked out in front of a train.
-
Dummy, don't ever walk in front of a train.
-
All things happen for a reason.
-
Yes, usually it's stupidity.
-
I hate to say that about my cousin that I've never met, way distant.
-
I mean, like I say, all I know is his last name is Griner.
-
So glad us now did pray for him a little bit, but I mean we didn't pray that.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
This is the brain dead church.
-
You don't know the Bible.
-
But anyway, getting back to the devil.
-
I took authority over these three demon powers and I said over her.
-
I said this is not as bad as they're saying, this is not as bad as they're saying.
-
Went back to the doctor.
-
They can't even.
-
It's just so microscopic now, the size of this thing.
-
It was in terms of centimeters before and now it's so tiny.
-
You're not even gonna mess with it, they're just gonna watch it.
-
There's no procedure necessary.
-
And that was just a couple of weeks ago.
-
So, going back 10, 12, 15, I mean, we have so many knick-bears we can't talk about them enough.
-
But I want to challenge you to remember what we did.
-
Remember what we did.
-
We just handed out these prayer clothes.
-
How many of you got prayer clothes?
-
There are a bunch of you.
-
Some of you say what in the world is he talking about?
-
We ought to come to church.
-
Then you'd know what I'm talking about, because we didn't do it just once.
-
But we'll give you one if you want one.
-
Acts 19, special miracle.
-
God said I want you to have special miracle Sunday, as we told me in December last year, and before we could get it.
-
It took us a while to get it scheduled and then I had to teach one more Sunday before that.
-
So we had two Sundays of healing and I laid hands on all these prayer clothes Gladys and I did, and gave them out to y'all.
-
I want to hear back.
-
I want an email or a letter or something, or a phone call.
-
I want to hear what God did.
-
I know he did some stuff.
-
Last week we had a young lady from Malaysia that came up.
-
She got saved and delivered from a demon power.
-
A demon power was right up against her face, rubbing against her face.
-
She was just so beside herself and Claire just laid hands on her right up here.
-
Right there, boom, she got saved and delivered.
-
Her sister came up here.
-
I thought it was her sister, the one that it was not her the one that came up here.
-
She was drunken, the Holy Ghost.
-
She was up here rejoicing, kneeling, crying, shouting, laughing and then when her mother took her back to their seat, she couldn't walk, remember.
-
She went down, stumbling down that aisle.
-
What was wrong with her, pat?
-
She's drunken, the Holy Ghost.
-
That's what's wrong.
-
More people need to learn how to drink and quit things.
-
You don't do more drinking, less thinking.
-
Miracles happen here all the time and we just don't talk enough about them.
-
But what I have seen is I've seen wonderful people fight alone.
-
They get a bad report and they just think, well, I better, just I'll believe God.
-
Well, why don't you get down here and get your head under some hands?
-
Why do you wanna be so hard to deal with?
-
I mean, look, if you've got some bad report, I mean I know you've got.
-
I teach you how to fight your own battles and all that, but don't throw the baby out with a bathwater.
-
This church is available to get alongside you and agree with you.
-
If you've never believed God to heal a headache and you get diagnosed with cancer, you're out of your mind.
-
You try to go after that thing by yourself without anybody getting alongside you.
-
I had a lady one time.
-
That was just for a better word.
-
She's hypochondriac.
-
If I ever met one, she's probably.
-
If you look up the word hypochondriac, it would have her picture.
-
I mean, everything was a problem, everything.
-
And she wasn't an old lady, she's a young lady, hypochondriac.
-
And she got diagnosed with cancer and she said I'm not taking treatment, I just believe God.
-
And she had the.
-
You made the mistake of calling me number one, calling me pastor, because when you call me pastor, I have the right to say whatever I need to say to you.
-
It might ruffle your feathers.
-
We'll turn around and get them in the right direction.
-
Might step on your toes we'll hang around for the healing service for your toes.
-
But I looked right at you.
-
So she calls me pastor as a normal say.
-
I am her pastor and she said I'm not gonna have the treatment, I'm just not gonna.
-
I don't wanna lose all my hair anyway, I'm just gonna believe God.
-
I said you're gonna die.
-
You do that.
-
You're gonna die because you don't have faith to get healed of cancer.
-
You haven't exhibited any faith that I've ever seen over the years.
-
You haven't exhibited any faith that I've ever seen over anything that's attacked you.
-
And all of a sudden now you've got the worst thing anybody can have said to them and you're gonna just ignore the treatment.
-
They've got treatment for you and the type that she had was easily.
-
Now you know I don't minimize cancer of any sort, but at the same time there's some that's easier treated than others and she had a kind that has a very large percentage of cancer in the world and she was just gonna leave that away and then here.
-
She lives in the cancer treatment capital of the world and you're just not gonna do it because you're gonna lose your hair, you're gonna die.
-
I wouldn't hear of it.
-
I absolutely wouldn't hear of it.
-
I said I'll tell you what you better have that treatment.
-
And she did, and she got over.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
Did we get a long side?
-
Of course we got a long side, but I think that the healing miracles happen as a result of our agreement and prayer and the anointing and medical intervention, lots and lots.
-
But I'd like to focus on the ones that just God alone has done.
-
There are those I said, there are those God alone doesn't, and we're gonna see more and more of them.
-
So you have the situation where, in 12 out of the 19 of the 20, the people's faith initiated their miracles.
-
In other words, they made a demand on God to get healed.
-
The two blind men they had followed Jesus around.
-
You know all this Jairus' daughter, the whole smear and everything.
-
They came in and finally you know they hadn't been healed.
-
They've been right next to Jesus.
-
They hadn't been healed.
-
It wasn't about getting next to Jesus because they still weren't healed.
-
And finally they followed Him into the house.
-
Jesus, have mercy on us.
-
And Jesus didn't say, okay, come here, little dark.
-
No, he said do you believe I'm able to do this?
-
He made them confess that they had faith.
-
Yay, lord, we believe.
-
Then he laid hands on them and they both got healed of their blindness.
-
Amen, man.
-
So what happened?
-
What was their faith they had to have?
-
Why couldn't he have just healed their sight?
-
Gifts of the Spirit, as the Spirit wills.
-
Jesus didn't just go down the street healing everybody.
-
They had to come to Him.
-
And when they came to Him and listened to Him, in His own hometown he could do their do.
-
No mighty work Talked about that last week.
-
What was the remedy for unbelief?
-
Teaching, teaching.
-
See, all unbelief is curable.
-
All you need to do is sit under good, sound, teaching, amen.
-
That's why I'm teaching this this morning, because we have a lot of new people.
-
We have people that went to first church, second church, where they've never even been exposed to healing, or they've said they've heard this in Sunday school.
-
Well, you know, god healed some and he doesn't heal others.
-
Well, that's just a lie.
-
He healed everybody.
-
In fact, in His mind, everyone is already healed.
-
Why don't you read your Bible?
-
Why don't you read your Bible?
-
See, there again, it comes from ignorance.
-
It comes from listening to theories Instead of God's word.
-
Theories is not the same as truth.
-
Did you know that global warming is a theory.
-
Climate change is a theory?
-
It's never been proven, never will be.
-
It's wrong.
-
But so is evolution.
-
There's a lot of Christians that think evolution is the fact.
-
No, it's not.
-
It's a theory and it's been disproven.
-
There's no proof of evolution, none at all zero.
-
But they have drummed it into people.
-
See, this is what's going on right now.
-
They're drumming things in to us and to our consciousness to get us to turn loose from God.
-
That's the whole.
-
The whole deal here is to get rid of faith in God.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
So God initiates healing in seven out of the 19.
-
And this is one of them right here.
-
He initiated Jesus, initiated by himself or God did initiated this healing through the gift of healing, through the discerning of spirits and the word of knowledge.
-
He knew he'd been in that condition a long time.
-
All that was the function of the gifts of the spirit.
-
And he said will you be made, are you willing to be made whole?
-
He wasn't gonna go against what he wanted.
-
You know, some people wanna be sick.
-
Yeah, yeah, oh.
-
Y'all are looking at me weird now.
-
You haven't met the same people.
-
I've met.
-
Some people wanna be.
-
They wanna be sick because they need the attention.
-
They are attention hounds, they are addicted to attention and if they can get sick and sick enough I mean, these people make up stuff a lot of times Will you, are you willing to be made whole?
-
Yeah, yeah, I just don't have a man.
-
I'm looking for a man.
-
I ain't found a man to help me, and the man is right there.
-
So God initiated that one out of a multitude, and that's about the way it is now.
-
When we wait on God to initiate healing, we're gonna wait a long time.
-
In many cases, in fact, we might wait so long that we die and go to heaven without being healed because we were waiting on God to initiate the healing.
-
Well, we don't have to wait for God to initiate the healing.
-
We can get into the Word of God and find out what belongs to us, which is the best way anyway.
-
It's, the best way for you is to find out what belongs to you and claim it, appropriate it by faith, but don't get so proud that you think that you don't need anybody else to even come alongside you.
-
Look, this altar is down here.
-
I mean, avail yourself of it Now.
-
If I had the Holy Ghost in me and told me listen, I want you to believe God on your own, well then you can do that.
-
But otherwise, I mean, if you've been given a bad report, get somebody to agree with you.
-
Let the anointing come upon you right here.
-
This is Houston Tailing Center, and don't wait till you're at death's door.
-
I had one of my young men that I just.
-
He was on our security team.
-
I'll use his first name Brian Love.
-
Brian.
-
He worked for a big oil company laid off like a lot of guys are, and girls laid off for no good reason.
-
They're laid off so that the executives can cause the stock to go up in price and they can have a bigger golden parachute when they decide to retire.
-
They'll be a lot richer than they would have been.
-
So they routinely lay off the heart of the company and replace it with others that are not nearly as smart and don't demand as big a salary.
-
This is immoral.
-
This is James.
-
James talked about these people.
-
They're scum, they're robbers, they're going to get theirs.
-
But he was laid off at the prime of his life.
-
He'd given all of his energy and everything and of course then your insurance runs out.
-
He went to the dentist, found a little thing in his mouth.
-
Hey, you need to get this checked out.
-
He didn't have the money, he didn't have the insurance anymore.
-
It ran out and I had to watch him die of cancer in his 40s.
-
I hate it.
-
I tried everything I could do.
-
I did everything I could do to get the Word of healing into him, to try to get his faith to latch on to it.
-
All failure is a faith failure.
-
But I take my side of it seriously because it's my job to get that message into you.
-
Of course, on the other side of the coin is you have your responsibility to take what I'm giving you and bring it into your spirit and meditate on it until you get the victory.
-
And Brian didn't run out of faith, he just ran out of time.
-
It got ahead of him.
-
He didn't come up for prayer until it was way late.
-
See, that's my point.
-
Don't wait until something has just gone crazy.
-
I mean, if you steal it in your body, I mean get rid of it, and if it doesn't leave, get up here.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
When's he going to start preaching?
-
Well, I started preaching alone 30 minutes ago, I think.
-
Now Still haven't given you the three points.
-
So God initiates some healings, and those are rare.
-
If you're going to wait on the gifts of the Spirit, you're going to miss the point of this, why this is in the Bible here.
-
This is in the Bible to instruct us not to sit around waiting.
-
We can initiate by faith.
-
We can make a demand on our covenant and start the healing flow toward us.
-
We don't have to wait for the gift.
-
And then you know, if you're willing to do that, then sometimes what I've seen in this church people have been believing God, they've been speaking right against their sicknesses and all of a sudden I'll have a word of knowledge and they'll come up and God will just say oh, you've been believing me, I'm going to give it to you right now.
-
Boom, they get instant.
-
They get it instant because they were willing to take it by faith.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
I mean, he just presses the fast forward button.
-
I love it when God presses the fast forward button, but what if he did it every time?
-
What if the fast forward button?
-
Then we wouldn't really develop in faith.
-
We wouldn't develop in faith.
-
We would just, you know, lollygag around and just take healing for granted.
-
I don't worry about that, I'll get healed.
-
I'll get my healing.
-
No, let's be listen.
-
The devil hates your guts.
-
He's trying to kill you.
-
He's not trying to give you a bad hair day.
-
He's not trying to steal your parking lot at the mall.
-
He is trying to kill you.
-
Be sober, be vigilant.
-
Your adversary, the devil as a line.
-
Romans, about seeking whom he made a vow, whom resisted fast in the faith.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
I'll think about brother Hagin's sister.
-
She was 55 years old and diagnosed with a very serious stage.
-
You know back then they didn't have stage two, three, four and all that, they just had cancer and they didn't have near the treatment back then as we do now.
-
But it was bad.
-
I mean, the doctors didn't give her much hope.
-
So brother Hagin went to the Lord in prayer and he said you know, I'm going to heal her just because you ask.
-
No father, no earthly father wants to do more for their children than their heavenly father.
-
I just tell my people if they would just ask.
-
So he asked on behalf of his sister.
-
He said I'm going to give her five more years.
-
Now when I read that testimony and I did the math on that, you know 55 plus five is 60.
-
So I'm thinking what is up with that?
-
That's kind of interesting.
-
Why would God say five more years?
-
You know, what it screams out to me is that she's got a bunch of stuff she needs to get handled Because she's still going to die young if she doesn't make some major adjustments.
-
God didn't say that, he just said I'm going to give her five more years.
-
And I don't know, frankly, if brother Hagin caught on to that in those years or not.
-
It doesn't sound like he caught on to the fact that she had some changes to make, because 60 is still not a very long life, and so she got to be 60 and she got cancer in a different it was unrelated to the first one, different place, different type, bad.
-
So brother Hagin went to the Lord and the Lord said Nope, don't want to hear her name.
-
What Answers?
-
No, I'm not going to intervene this time.
-
You asked me last time I intervene.
-
I told you I'd give her five years.
-
That's been five years ago.
-
She's 60 and she hadn't made any changes.
-
Oh, but Lord, that's my sister.
-
He said, yeah, but she doesn't listen to your messages.
-
She could the radio program is done, she never turns the radio on.
-
Listen to your messages?
-
You've been in her city twice in the last two years and she didn't come to anything.
-
She didn't come to your meetings when you were in town.
-
She doesn't come to any other meeting.
-
She makes no effort.
-
She hadn't read one of your books.
-
I'm not going to intervene for her.
-
She'll just have to come to heaven.
-
Whoo, oh, we have it made.
-
We are in a church that's got the Word of God, who's got the Holy Ghost, we've got gifts of the spirit and beside that we've got the Word of faith.
-
Hallelujah, have no excuse to be sick.
-
Come on, let's get well and stay well.
-
Amen.
-
Which brings me back to.
-
Let's quit waiting around at the, at the, at the watering hole.
-
All right, let's look at.
-
Let's look at the three things.
-
I think you're ready for the three.
-
I know y'all are past ready for the three points.
-
Three healing Everybody say three healing treats.
-
This is a.
-
This has happened in the Old Testament.
-
See, this is Jesus hadn't died on the cross.
-
I know it's in the New Testament as far as where we divide it, but as far as the dispensation that it's under, it's under the Old Testament.
-
So these are Jews primarily, that are laying their multitude.
-
Everybody say a great multitude, five porches filled with sick people.
-
We have a major military hospital in Washington, bethesda hospital, named after this story, right here.
-
Oh, but we're not a Christian nation.
-
We got to get rid of the church.
-
Well, let's get rid of Bethesda, that great hospital where people I mean pretty sure Diane Crenshaw probably spent some time.
-
Bethesda, all your military wounded go through there, all right.
-
So it's a type and shadow of what we have in the New Testament.
-
We have to read the Old Testament, new Testament eyes.
-
That's what I want you to get, to get to see why is this story in here?
-
It's.
-
It's in here to provoke us to taking advantage of our covenant.
-
They didn't.
-
They could have appropriated their covenant.
-
Jehovah Rafa, that's who Jesus, that's who God is.
-
Nevermind Jesus, maybe they didn't know he was the Messiah, but they still knew that they're supposed to know that God is Jehovah Rafa, the Lord.
-
I am the Lord that he let the they sing about it.
-
They should know about it, but they weren't appropriating it, just like the modern church isn't today.
-
All right, three healing truths.
-
Number one God wants us well and whole.
-
Don't you accept anything less than that?
-
God's will for you is for you to be well and whole.
-
Oh, I tell you, I'm so thankful for that car wreck.
-
If I hadn't had that car wreck, pastor, I wouldn't have gotten to meet those wonderful nurses.
-
I got to pray for one of them to get the whole.
-
That goes Well, well and good, and that's what you ought to do.
-
But that's not right.
-
You had the car wreck, probably disobeyed the traffic signals, you probably were doing 60 in the 30.
-
You ran out, you ran a red light and they hit you.
-
Somebody hit you, rear, ended you, you know, or whatever I mean.
-
Don't start thinking this.
-
Really.
-
God wants you well all the time.
-
It's never God's will for you to be sick, never.
-
It wasn't God's will for Brother Hagin's sister to go to heaven early.
-
He was not at fault.
-
She didn't appropriate her covenant.
-
She didn't make any adjustments to her life after God healed her.
-
You know, when you get healed supernaturally, you better be talking about it.
-
You better be testifying what God did for you and you better be dispensing some healing on your own.
-
You ought to be getting your hands on laying them on sick people.
-
I mean, I didn't wait to come to church to get people healed.
-
I laid hands on people on my job site.
-
I came to my job site one time and I had all they were framing cartoners.
-
They were cornice guys.
-
That means that they put the one by six on the edges under where the roof goes, and they did the underhangs, overhangs, not the frame.
-
The frame is a two by fours.
-
They were the cornice cartoners and they were all Hispanic.
-
None of them speak English.
-
And so it was lunchtime and they had their aluminum foil.
-
They built a fire in the front yard and they were heating up their tacos, fixing to have tacos for lunch, and so I waited for them to all sit down.
-
They had their tacos rolled up and I went out and started preaching to them.
-
I preached to them in English with a Spanish accent.
-
I had a captive audience.
-
They didn't dare move cause they'll heffy.
-
My electrician one time.
-
He was a gringo.
-
My electrician one time.
-
He made the mistake of complaining that his back hurt.
-
I said well, sit down here on these steps here, let me pray for you.
-
And he said what I said yeah, let me pray for you.
-
There's no point in you having pain, you know.
-
So I measured his legs, you know, and had him stand up, bend over and touch his tongue.
-
God healed him right there.
-
He's trying not to cry.
-
It was hilarious.
-
I just love putting people in awkward positions.
-
We were building this building.
-
We had poured the slab yet, but we had Frank Jedgick wait at us.
-
Frank, frank had a crew of guys out here.
-
Jesus Melgale was there and his little brother.
-
They're both from El Salvador and fairly new, and Jesus was kind of under Frank's wing and he was teaching him some things about plumbing and the brother I don't know where he was in that whole situation, but he was here and he was limping around.
-
I saw him limping and he had stepped off in the ditch and kind of wrenched his knee and he could hardly walk.
-
It looked like he was going to have to go to the emergency room because he was limping around and Jesus could just speak just a little English, you know.
-
And I said hey, zeus, what's wrong?
-
He said that's my brother.
-
He hurt his knee.
-
I said tell him I want to pray for him.
-
And so he told him, you know in Spanish, and guys got biggest saucers.
-
I'm sure he thought of cul-de-roes.
-
I don't know what he was thinking about.
-
I don't know what he thought I was going to do, what kind of ointment I was going to put on him, but I laid hands on him and God instantly healed him.
-
That's been over almost 20 years ago.
-
He's never forgotten it.
-
Every time he sees hey, have you seen that preacher that I got healed me.
-
That preacher healed him.
-
Yeah, no, I didn't heal him, jesus healed him.
-
Hey, zeus, you know better.
-
Hey, zeus is an elder in his church.
-
I mean, he knows he's really come a long way since he got to this country.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
God wants you well and whole.
-
You've got to know that for yourself.
-
You've got to know that.
-
About the people that you're talking to, even if they don't, everybody say God wants me well and whole.
-
See, god responded to their need by a sovereign act.
-
But all they really needed to do was come to the Word, the Word of their covenant.
-
They left it on the table.
-
God was waiting on them, waiting on them, waiting on them, and finally he couldn't stand it anymore.
-
He said okay, angel, get down there in trouble of the water, we got to get somebody healed.
-
Maybe it'll inspire somebody to trust me, and really there's no record that it did.
-
That's how bad.
-
God wants to heal the sick, the unrighteous sick, the lost sick.
-
Is there any sick among them?
-
These signs shall follow them that believe in my name.
-
They shall lay hands on the sick, doesn't say the Christian sick, the righteous sick, just the sick.
-
He wants you well, he wants everyone well.
-
Are you with me now?
-
In fact, that's a truth you've got to get to.
-
I mean, even though they've let their covenant slip okay, they've let their covenant slip he still wants them healed.
-
I said he still wants them healed, all right.
-
Number two God's not limited in his healing power by a man, a move or a meeting.
-
He's not limited by a man, a move or a meeting.
-
We've had healing moves.
-
We've had great meetings.
-
I mean I've been to a lot of healing meetings.
-
I've been to Benny Hinn meetings, I've been to all kinds of meetings, or Roberts meetings, brother Hagin meetings.
-
I mean I've been to a whole lot of meetings.
-
But if I waited for a meeting to get healed, I wouldn't even be here.
-
I'd be in heaven right now.
-
Are y'all with me.
-
Now we can come directly to Jesus to be healed.
-
Basically, jesus said to the man do you want to be well?
-
Look and listen to me.
-
Do you want to be well?
-
Look at me, do what I tell you, Brian, take up your bed and get out of here.
-
And he did that.
-
He did that.
-
He did have enough faith to do exactly what Jesus told him, even though he didn't know who he was.
-
Later on, when the Pharisees said what are you doing, roy?
-
This is a Sabbath day.
-
What are you doing carrying that bed around here?
-
Well, I'm just doing what the man told me.
-
He healed me.
-
Aw, get out of here.
-
They wound up excommunicating him out of the synagogue and his family said well, what about this man that prayed for your son?
-
Tell us, oh, we don't know.
-
He's of age.
-
Ask him.
-
Oh, you know all about it.
-
And they excommunicated them too.
-
Oh, I'll tell you, religion hates healing.
-
Religion hates the gifts of the Spirit.
-
Religion hates the Word of faith.
-
So we can come directly, we can appropriate our healing, amen.
-
And then, finally, we've got to keep our healing, have to contend for what God gives us, especially if you've gotten it through his initiation.
-
Are y'all following what I'm saying.
-
If God initiated your healing through the gifts of the Spirit, I called you up.
-
I said God, I see people in here that got back trouble.
-
And you come up here lots and lots.
-
Over the years I don't know how many backs have been healed in here.
-
I mean more than I can count People so hurting, so down in their back.
-
They were just they had enough faith to get to church.
-
And then I call them out and then they get healed.
-
Well, now you're gonna have to keep that healing.
-
Because why?
-
Because God initiated that healing.
-
But now, on the flip side, when you start to believe God and you start speaking to your back, get in line with the Word of God.
-
I demand my vertebra to line up with the Word of God Says by the stripes of Jesus I was healed.
-
I refuse this trouble in my lower back.
-
I demand my pelvis turned.
-
I demand my lower back to line up.
-
Get in line, perfect alignment so you can do that.
-
I bind infirmity off of me.
-
Oh, pain has got to go.
-
I refuse to be laid up in bed and sometimes it takes a while, but you can get your healing that way.
-
But when you don't, when you have someone else's faith involved.
-
See, that's what happened to Brother Hagin's sister is.
-
It was his faith that got her healed.
-
She did nothing about her faith for five years and now, if she's gonna live, it's up to her to live.
-
God, I mean, listen, god is not candy man.
-
He expects that when people receive from him that they keep what they get.
-
That means number one to keep what you get.
-
What do you have to do?
-
We have to walk in love.
-
1 Corinthians 11 says a lot of people are weak and sickly and some die prematurely because they fail to discern the Lord's body.
-
What does that mean?
-
They don't walk in love.
-
They're friendly.
-
They're rude, demanding, say ugly things about people gossip.
-
Are you with me now?
-
It's real quiet in here.
-
Well, you know you have a lot to.
-
Yeah, you could.
-
There's a lot you can do to contend and defend your healing.
-
The devil will always come back and try to steal from you what God gave you.
-
He'll always do that.
-
You can write it down.
-
Since I had my heart surgery, I was told that I had a procedure that would eliminate atrial fibrillation, and yet three times in four years.
-
So the last time was last July and it was so bad.
-
It wasn't fibrillation, it was atrial flutter, which is a lot worse.
-
Generally, when you get flutter, you're just about as good as dead, and I had flutter, so I had to contend.
-
I said I had to contend for my healing and I laid there in that hospital room and I just you know they're treating me.
-
When I first got there emergency room and then they moved me to ICU for six more days, I don't know I spent a lot of time in ICU since 2005.
-
And I am I'm gonna say this in faith I'm never going back to the ICU, never, ever going back, never, never going back.
-
Praise God, how could you say that?
-
I'm saying it by faith.
-
You can have what you say.
-
And I've learned I've learned a few things about my heart.
-
I've learned what to put up with and what not to put up with, that I need some medical intervention.
-
Yes, I needed some medical intervention, but I had to keep what they gave me and I know how to keep it.
-
And I talk to my heart every day, and I don't just talk to my heart, I talk to that entire system.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
And then you've got to pay attention to the love walk.
-
You've got to love people.
-
You've got to forgive people.
-
You've got to, you got to put up with people.
-
People if it weren't for people, it'd be so much more fun.
-
Remove all obstacles that would allow the devil to steal, kill and destroy in your life.
-
Hallelujah, these are truths.
-
Very simple, very, very simple.
-
It's so simple.
-
You know, dying is complicated.
-
There's all kinds of ways to die.
-
There's a million ways the devil can kill you.
-
But these truths, you get them down in your spirit.
-
They supersede everything the devil can throw at you.
-
He's limited to the things of this flesh, he's limited to the things of this world.
-
But, oh, hallelujah, the weapons of our warfare, they're not carnal, but they're mighty.
-
Through God, to the pulling down of strongholds, amen.
-
Come on, let's lift our hands and receive today.
-
Hallelujah, glory to God.
-
How many of you are glad to be part of Houston's Healing Center?
-
How many of you are going to take full advantage?
-
Yes, full advantage.
-
Everybody say I'm taking full advantage.
-
Hallelujah, glory to God.
