Dominion Over Demons 2

Get our Bibles out and lift them up and wave them around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad.

And let's say this together say, heavenly Father, I'm hungry and thirsty for more, more of your spirit, more of your presence, and I need more of your Word in my life.

I'm determined, in the name of Jesus, to accomplish my call, the reason I live in Jesus' name.

Amen.

We all have a purpose, don't we?

Now let's turn in our Bibles to Matthew 28 and also Mark 16, and we'll read the foundation scriptures to you.

Matthew 28 first, in verse 18.

This is Jesus, after he's risen from the dead and he's about to go to heaven, be lifted off the earth.

All of his disciples are gathered, and then Jesus came and spake unto them, saying all power or all authority in heaven and earth is given unto me.

Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations.

My margin says make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever.

I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.

Amen.

And then another perspective on the same identical point of time was in Mark, chapter 16.

Mark 16 · chapter mention

Mark was there.

Mark observed everything that Matthew did and he had a little different take.

He emphasized a little bit different.

It was the same same.

I value all four gospels because we get four perspectives.

So verse 15 and Mark 16, and he said unto them.

Jesus said unto them go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

He that believeth in his baptized shall be saved, and he that believeth not shall be damned or condemned.

And these signs shall follow them.

That believe In my name shall they cast out demons?

They shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.

They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

So then, after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God, and they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word with signs following amen.

And so tonight I wanted to give you part two of Dominion over Demons, dominion over Demons.

Here in Mark, chapter 16, most of the signs, many of the signs that he's speaking of that are supposed to follow believers, have to do with demons.

Mark 16 · chapter mention

You know, the church has been set against sickness and demonic activity.

I mean, if there's anything the church ought to be against is those things.

We're in the healing business, we're in the delivering business, and so here in Mark 16, first on the list, cast out demons and then it says take up serpents.

That word take up doesn't mean pick them up and handle them like a snake handler church.

It means to throw them aside.

It means to cast them aside out of the pathway.

The context is, as you go along your journey, preaching the gospel to every creature, I mean there's gonna be demonic opposition to all of God's plans for your life.

So we have authority to to take those demonic powers and cast them aside, and then even exemption from poison or bad water.

You know that has to do with demonic activity as well, maybe not direct demonic activity, but indirect.

I found that where nations and peoples are, people, groups that are devoid of the gospel, they tend to be worshipers of false gods and or worshipers of demons, and so that means the animals around them.

I mean you'll see this in Africa.

These animals not only are ferocious in their own right, but some of them have demons that possess them.

They're man killers, they're man eaters.

And you're a pastor, you're going off your well.

Jesus cast a devil out of the demonic and cast it into swine.

They asked if they could go into the swine.

So 2000 swine ran violently down the hill and drowned in the Sea of Galilee.

So I stood right there at that place where it happened.

It's a real steep place and they got up ahead of steam and they couldn't turn back.

And so, yes, we have authority over these things.

We have to recognize the role of the devil and demon powers in disease and bondage and even in lack and finances.

You know, many times when we have things that are that are clogged up financially, perhaps we're things are clogged up on your job, maybe your career is not going as well, maybe you're not having all the favor that you should have with your boss, even though you've been doing everything you're asked to do and more you know.

Let's take authority over demon powers.

They have no right to steal, kill and destroy in your life.

So so last week we talked about the two ditches on either side of the road the devil conscious crowd and the devil ignorant crowd.

The devil conscious crowd they tend to build up the devil.

They tend to give him more power than he really has.

They talk about what he's doing.

They talk about what he's done.

They testify on his behalf, you know.

So that's the devil conscious crowd.

That's a ditch.

Get out of the ditch.

Quit bragging on the devil, quit telling everybody when the devil did this, the devil gave me a flat tire.

No, we didn't.

The devil's not in the business of giving you a flat tire.

He's in the business to kill, steal and destroy, and so.

And then the other side of it is the devil ignorant crowd.

They tend to blame everything on God.

Well, god allowed, god permitted, god permitted the car wreck so I could be a witness in the hospital.

You know all of that kind of noise.

Let's just look.

Look, this is the ditch on the other side of the road.

Let's get in the middle of the ditch and let's follow along what the Bible says, and let's be alert and aware of demonic activity, but not lend it more power than it has.

And so we talked about last week the different things that we should do to take dominion, and that is to answer every attack with a greater and equal intensity.

I mean, you know, if the devil is coming against you with some sort of sickness, well, rise up and resist that and great intensity.

Don't just don't just kind of swat it, swat at the fly, at the nest, at the wasp nest.

I mean, you know, if you're gonna have you ever taken a wasp nest, dan, you better be careful.

You just can't go up there and just kind of nudge it.

You know, you better figure out a way, you know, to kill them all at once.

I usually use one of those big sprays.

It sprays out, you know, and it's been a long time since I've done that, by the way.

So, and then secondly, give no place to the devil.

Ephesians 422,.

Through sin or through ignorance, we can give place where the devil.

The devil can't take place.

We have to give it to him and then finally rise up in authority in Jesus' name.

We have this great authority that we've been given the Word of God, the Holy Ghost, the name of Jesus.

You know Ephesians, chapter one and chapter two.

I pray those Ephesian prayers every day over myself, and when I'm really praying over someone that's struggling, I pray those prayers for them as well.

But in Ephesians one and two it talks about us being far above, being far above all of the devil's hierarchies.

You always see yourself far above what the devil is doing and where the devil is.

So today, let's look in Ephesians, chapter six, and I wanna continue along the lines of our dominion over demons, because we live in a very demonic world.

I mean, I'm just watching just a little bit of the confirmation here of the Supreme Court justice.

I talk about a woman that's demonized.

There's one right there.

You wanna demon on the Supreme Court, get her confirmed.

She's doing the devil's work and has for many, many years.

I don't know what her problem is, but she's full of demons, she's full of lies, she's got the wrong take and she does not.

In fact, let's just lift the hand, father.

We just cry against the confirmation of this woman.

Jackson, is that her name?

Last name, jackson.

We cry against it in Jesus' name.

Let the senators that are there that know better, let them rise up and quit being so soft and quit being so concerned about the optics of it.

It's not about her being a woman or her being black and having history.

What it is is having the most qualified person on the Supreme Court, and she's not it and Lord, we cry against it tonight.

We do it in Jesus' name, amen.

So instead of talking about it.

We just prayed, we cried against it, all right.

So today, let's look at Ephesians, chapter six, and the book of Ephesians is such an important book for us to meditate in.

And let's look at verse 10.

And Paul is wrapping up the chapter and he says finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, put on the whole armor, the entire armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles or the military strategies of the devil.

See, that's what we just did, in just a quick prayer.

We stood against the military strategies of the devil against America.

He wants to take America down.

He wants to bring communism, he wants to bring Marxism into this nation, along with all of the other poisons, poisons that this woman believes in.

I mean, she's getting exposed if people are paying attention.

And it says here, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Or my margin says wicked spirits, wicked spirits in high places.

See what are these?

These are the.

These are the are Satan's hierarchy.

These are higher level demonic powers that are not just demons down here on the earth, but these are higher level you could call them generals of his evil army and they hand out the orders and they command the lower level ones that are in the earth itself.

So we're wrestling against these, wherefore, because of this, we take unto you the whole armor, or the entire armor of God, that you may be able to withstand or to stand up.

We just did that.

We just stood up against this demon that's in this woman not the woman, but the demon in her In the evil day, and having done all to stand stand therefore, having your loins Now, it tells you about how you should be dressed.

This is the whole armor.

Have your loins gird about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness, your feet shod with the preparation of gospel of peace Above all, taking the shield of faith wherewith you're able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the Ramah of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watching there unto you with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

So what I see here is this armor is a prayer armor.

It's the armor that we should engage and keep upon us if we're to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

See in verse 10, it says finally, brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

We talked about this word dominion.

Here it says put on this armor so you can stand and in the power of his might.

You look up that word power.

It's not exusee, it's not authority, it's not a dunamis, supernatural power.

But it's the Greek word.

Let me find it here in my notes.

It's the Greek word kratos.

And the best way that I can describe the meaning of the Greek word kratos is it's a combination of dominion, which is kingdom, authority and along with it the supernatural power that comes with it.

So, for instance, I would say that we're on the battlefield.

Modern soldiers today have on all kind of armor they didn't have on in World War II.

I'm kind of a student in World War II, so when soldier got shot on the battlefield, that was it.

I mean, if they got shot up the upper body they died.

But our guys have on body armor and they've got all kind of high tech equipment that's in their helmets and they've got the most high tech weaponry, this powerful weaponry.

I mean they've got guns that shoot around corners.

They can.

They've got projectiles.

If somebody's in a wall, in a masonry wall, they can dial in how far it is and they can set the projectile to explode as it gets right past that wall and kill people on the other side of a wall.

That's protecting them.

I mean, they have the most fearsome weaponry.

Each soldier has it and so it's a combination, then, of not just defensive weapons, but it's a combination of weaponry where we have the authority.

You know some combatants, when they see an American soldier and they see that weaponry they have in all the associated vehicles that come with it and the helicopters and all of that, the close air support that they have, a lot of times they'll just drop their weapons and give up and see that's what happens a lot of times.

The devil, when the devil sees us fully outfitted in the entire armor of God, you know a lot of times there's not much of a battle because they know they've already lost.

Because you've showed up ready to fight, you know you brought your weaponry.

You don't even have to use the weapon that much.

I mean you use the name of Jesus, but I mean the battle's over before it gets started, but if it goes a few rounds, never lack for the idea that you have supernatural power that goes along with your authority, and that's what the word Kratos gives us.

It gives us.

It gives us this standing against the devil, that our faith needs to grow.

We wouldn't be always calling other people trying to get them to pray for us, we wouldn't be always playing the victim card, if we only knew the Kratos.

He said be strong in the Lord and in his Kratos, that's what he gave us.

Oh, what a powerful thing it is to have both you know both of these things operating, this dominion and authority and power all wrapped into one Same thing.

With the police I mean the police, I mean they encountered a guy that had one of these attachments to his pistol.

It was a semi-automatic pistol and they did a little surgery on the pistol and turned it into a fully automatic pistol and I heard the audio of that thing firing and it was rapid fire.

It sounded like a machine gun and this was just a regular pistol and it had a 50 round drum on the bottom of this pistol that would shoot 50 rounds and it would shoot all 50 rounds in a matter of seconds it turned it into a lethal weapon.

But you know, some of those officers did get wounded, but they had body armor on and they took that guy down A couple of blocks later they got that guy and they arrested him, put him in jail.

So why?

Well, because they had that Kratos.

They had not only the authority, but they had that power.

They had that fire power.

Supernatural power is what we have.

It's not just guns, it's supernatural power, amen.

So we have to know and have an abiding position of authority.

That's in Christ.

I've been talking a lot about our image lately, seeing ourselves the way that the Bible says we are, and I've used the analogy of anorexia.

You know, sometimes when people have anorexia, most of the time it's women, but men are girls, young girls, but young men can have it too.

It's more common in girls, but anyway, they look in the mirror and they're just normal in size, but they look at themselves and they see themselves as overweight and so they start starving themselves and they start feeling guilty.

And so what is that?

That's a demon power is exactly what it is.

It's a wrong image.

It's a lying spirit that sent a lie to them.

Well, another way for that to happen is ignorance.

If you're ignorant of the word, of who you are in Christ, if you don't see yourself continually in Christ, if you don't abide at the right hand of the Father in Christ when you pray with a whole armor of God on, you're gonna get intimidated and you're gonna let the devil in and he's gonna have a little bit of a an edge on you.

Any any bit of this armor that's missing is a place for the devil to come and attack you.

And he does know he can.

He can read your body language, he can hear what you're saying, and not just when you're praying, but when you're talking to other people.

He can see cracks in your armor, so to speak.

You know the Bible talks about Ahab and and I believe it was a hazard has a kind joshaphat.

Let's see which one has a guy I believe it was, and that one has a kind was a king of Judah, ahab's king of Israel, and and and ahab tricked, has a kind of going to battle with hey, listen, you're, we're on the same side on this thing, come help me.

So Ahab Disguised himself.

He didn't, he wasn't dressed up in his armor like he would have been as a king, and has a kind dressed up in his kingly armor.

Well, he's mr Stupid in that.

In that example, I mean, they went right after him and left Ahab alone and they finally figured out what was going on.

Say, they finally figured out they had the wrong man and they easily shot an arrow and hit Ahab and he and he.

He was sick and they brought him to his tent and he died, and so it backfired on him.

It could have easily been the, the king of Judah, but the king of Judah had his kingly Armor on.

He was able to survive out there even though he was ignorant of of what he was doing and should not have done it.

God had mercy on him, amen.

So that's important, you.

So it's important for us to have our whole armor, our entire armor on it.

Lists it here Entire armor is our supernatural protection.

And again, we're not fighting against flesh and blood, we're we're fighting against the hierarchy of Satan.

Satan himself is rarely involved.

Satan is the CEO.

He doesn't get involved in skirmishes, he sits back and he's got all of his orders going on.

So when we say I've got the devil this or the devil that, well, the devil is not probably your trouble, it's some other demon power.

So let's let's identify who it is our enemy is.

So each part, piece of the armor, it lists it.

See, why did it list each piece of the armor?

Because each piece is a revelation of how the devil will attack you.

It's a revelation of your weakness in your flesh.

If you attempt to go to war, or to pray for anybody else, or pray for just like we got through crying against the Supreme Court, justice pick.

Well, what?

What if she's?

What if she's Confirmable?

Okay, at least we took a stand.

See, I'm we're not responsible for the results.

We're responsible for taking a stand, and when we take a stand, I'm always conscious of who I am in Christ and what I have all my armor on.

And so if there is any blowback, if there is any Arrows coming back at me, they're gonna hit my armor, they're gonna hit my shield of faith, amen.

So each piece of armor is a revelation, so let's look at all each one individually tonight.

It says stand, therefore, having your loins gird about with truth.

So the first place is your loins, or your guts.

You know really the middle.

I mean, you know in battle, if, if you were hit with an arrow in the middle, you're gonna have a bad death, you're not gonna survive, you're gonna die, but you're gonna die a slow death.

It's not instant.

It's not instant unless it hits where your heart.

Well, you've got another piece of armor the breastplate of righteousness.

So for your guts or your loins, what?

What do you need to to to gird your loins about with truth?

And so many people are vulnerable to an easy attack.

It's not it normally a fatal attack if they just had their armor on, but if they don't have truth around their middle.

So many Christians are deceived right now, they are listening to the news media, looking for news, and all they're getting is narrative.

They're being shit.

They're fears are being shaped, they're fearful right now.

There they, they switched from cobit over to world war three.

Everybody was afraid of cobit Two weeks ago, three weeks ago.

Now everybody's afraid not everybody, but many people are afraid of world war three.

And Biden is talking like it I was talking about.

Oh, he's got chemical weapons.

He's coming up, his back is against the wall, he's liable to be, so he's feeding the fear.

He wants to.

So fear in the.

I don't know why that didn't reason, but anyway, I better get off of that.

It's horrible.

Hey, listen, we got them.

We've got our loins gird about with the truth of the Word of God.

We're not an easy target.

So, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, again, that's over our heart.

You know, proverbs says, you know, guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.

You know you've got to protect your heart from bitterness and anger and Unforgiveness and all that kind of thing.

Sometimes the devil will try to hurt and wound you, get you so disappointed in someone or some, whatever, and get you walking outside of the law of love.

Now you're vulnerable, now you're given place to the devil and some of those kind of shots can be fatal.

And and what?

How do you, how do you get rid of that one?

I having on the breastplate of righteousness, right standing with God, and of course we know we're righteous when we because Jesus purchased it for us we're.

When the moment we were born again, we came into righteousness.

Righteousness is not up and down and in and out, it's a state of being that we have.

If we sin, then we immediately run to God, not run from God.

If we do miss the mark, if we do walk, you know, in unforgiveness or we don't walk in love, then we immediately go to God and say, god, I missed it, please forgive me.

And he is instant to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness, behavior, the behavior.

He cleanses it, and that is our protection around our heart.

Then it goes on, above all taking the shield of faith where, with, you're able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

So the shield of faith is something that was held outside of all the armor.

You've got the armor on, but then you've got another double layer.

You've got the shield of faith, and your faith calls the things that be, not as though they were.

Your faith is what empowers you, it's your motive in all things.

Faith works by love, and so that's the, what gives you the courage to stand your ground when the devil's attacking the, even powers are trying to hurt you.

Sickness has come upon you, whatever it is, fear tries to attack you.

You've got the shield of faith and then it says and so it quenches all the fiery darts of the wicked.

You know, recently we had a demonstration right down here at the altar and we pulled some arrows out of people that I had discerned by the discerning of spirits and they got healed, praise God.

The devil's trying to take you down, but Jesus will lift you up.

All right in verse 17,.

Take the helmet of salvation.

The helmet of salvation.

So you've got to have over your head and your mind the idea that Jesus bought and paid for everlasting life.

You have life, you have the life of God, and so that salvation is your protection in your mind when you start to be tempted to doubt and when you start being tempted to be confused, when you start being tempted all these different ways.

I mean everything starts in the thought life.

And we've got to have that helmet of salvation.

We've got to have our mind renewed to the word of God so we know that what the word says about every circumstance of life and we don't believe circumstances, we believe what the word says about them Amen, that's the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

Now, this is the only offensive weapon.

We've got the sword of the spirit.

That word sword really means a dagger.

It means hand to hand combat.

It's not one of these big, old, long, six foot long, curved edge.

You know, I used to think it was a sword like way.

You know, cut them a mile away.

You know it's right up, close and personal.

You know you smell the devil.

Sometimes you have to get into hand to hand and combat with the devil.

He comes after you.

I've had a few of those skirmishes and you know what?

I always win because I've got my dagger.

And what is that?

That is the rama of God, god's word, god's word for now.

He's always got a word for now for you, whenever you're under attack.

And so then all of these pieces of armor are the hints as to where the devil is going to attack you.

He's gonna try to attack you in your in truth.

He's gonna try to attack your righteousness.

He's gonna try to attack your salvation.

He's gonna try to attack your faith.

You know he's gonna try to attack all these different places.

And when we have the entire armor of God, of God's armor, on, then we are able to defeat every move the devil makes.

Praise God, amen.

So we're living in the last days and we need to, and I know I stress that all the time.

I'm not saying Jesus has to come into night or tomorrow, but we are in the last days and we can see Bible prophecy being fulfilled, and so these are the days where we need to redouble our revelation on our dominion over demons.

And so the first thing I wanna leave you with tonight, in verse 10, it says finally my brother be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might or in his crottos.

So the number one thing is know that you have absolute mastery over demon powers.

Not only authority, but you've got the ammunition to go with it.

You've got supernatural power.

Supernatural power, I mean it blows him away.

What you have blows him away.

It's not just he has to do what you tell him.

If he doesn't do what you tell him, you have the force behind you to blow him out of a position.

I mean literally in the spirit realm.

And just, you gotta absolutely stamp out all fear, all fear.

You know the devil comes at night most of the time.

When I say the devil, I'm merely meaning about demon powers.

They come at night.

They come at night to confuse you.

They come at night to wake you up.

I was waking four o'clock the other morning.

I had such a pain with Sunday morning I'm fixed to preach.

In a few hours I woke up with such a pain in my stomach.

I mean it was like cramping and I was bent over, I couldn't even straighten up my back all the way around the middle and I'd had it earlier in the day and I'd gotten rid of it and it came back on me and I knew exactly what was going on.

I knew it was the enemy trying to get me to cave in and call and say, hey, I can't make it today, I'm just dying, I'm just gonna have to stay on.

I mean, I tell you, I just got on the devil, I smacked him.

I smacked him and I started using my sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

And you know the symptoms didn't relax.

So I just started laughing and I got a heating pad, warmed it up in the microwave, laid down on my couch, put it under my back to get comfortable so I could be more comfortable while I was laughing at him.

I laughed at him for 10 minutes and after a while I started getting sleepy.

I went back to bed and slept till the time to get up and get ready for service.

Amen never turned back.

It had to leave.

I said it had to leave.

They know you have absolute mastery over demonic forces.

Be strong and very courageous.

Stamp out fear.

Don't allow fear to have a stronghold.

Number two, in verse 11 and 13 know that when you stand against demonic forces, that it's an offensive move, not just defensive.

See all these, these, this armor.

It looks like it's Defensive, it's like you're dodging things, but no, it's offensive.

You are going, you're taking the battle to the enemy.

You're taking the battle to the enemy, see.

So don't look at it as all defensive weapons.

It's offensive, you are on the offense, and when you even smell a demonic Attack, you go after him.

You don't hide, you go after him boldly.

See.

Be strong, be strong and very courageous.

Be strong in the Lord, see, not in yourself.

Be strong in the Lord, see, always knowing that you're in him.

You have it says here, to withstand in the evil day or to stand.

It means to oppose, resist, set yourself against.

See.

You have a firm belief in the integrity of God's Word.

That says you have dominion over demons.

Amen, god, god didn't lie.

God, god can't lie.

He, he's the one that said this.

So you have it.

So act like you do.

Act like that when you speak to the enemy.

He has to do what you, what you say, or pay the price, or pay the price he's gonna might.

Sometimes he has to pay a price.

Sometimes those demon powers, they get on the wrong end of that dunamis that we have.

You refuse to bow or back up All right.

Number three we find in verse 18.

It says praying always, with all prayer and supplication.

One verse, one version, says praying with all manner of prayer and supplication.

So know that as you pray with all manner of prayer, that the Holy Ghost will help you stand.

Sometimes, when we're Believing for relatives, or believing for our marriage, or believing for our children or or whatever Difficulty and it's not one of these things, it's instant.

Sometimes we have to have a season of prayer over certain things.

Know that when that's the case, that that the Holy Ghost is helping you withstand or stand against Demon powers.

You know, I wish we could just snap our fingers and everything would be perfect all the time.

But God's not a robot, he does not control robots, he does not overrule human Free will, and so when we're praying for others or we're praying for anything like that, it it often takes time for things to turn around, and that's where we have to really know that he has helped us.

In Luke 18 one, jesus said it this way men ought always to pray and not give up.

Not give up, don't give up.

Smith Wigglesworth said in his in his experience most Christians prayed and and then gave up before the answer had a chance to come.

So don't give up, keep praying and keep thanking God.

And James 5, 16 the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much the amplifiers.

This brings much power to bear, dynamic in its working, multifaceted, and it's dynamic means multifaceted.

I mean, you know, sometimes God can come around another way.

We didn't even dream of it.

Because we're praying, god has got permission to move the way he needs to move and Finally know that God's word in your mouth is a powerful weapon Against demons.

So that's the sword of the Spirit, which is the rama of God.

It is a powerful weapon.

Anytime you speak the word of God toward demonic powers, they feel it, they're getting stuck, they're getting slashed, they're releasing their grip.

Always know that and always begin to praise God for the victory, because you know the battle is the Lord's but the victory is ours and he always gives us a victory.

So lift your hands and receive tonight dominion over demons.

Praise God.

I trust this will build your faith and give you grit and determination.

You know to go ahead and face the devil down every kind of situation.

Amen, amen, amen, amen.
