Hallelujah.
-
I want to talk to you tonight about God's appointed times and I believe this is one.
-
I believe tonight is one.
-
So there will be ministry later, sound booths Y'all get ready because we might need to play some music later in the service.
-
But I do want to teach you the word.
-
I want to just start with Genesis 1.15.
-
I'm just laying a case tonight so that your faith can receive what God has.
-
Genesis 1.15 says and God said Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.
-
So God put the universe at that moment.
-
He created time and space and he set all of the stars in motion.
-
He set the sun and the moon, he set in motion the clock and the calendar For times and seasons.
-
That word seasons, signs and seasons.
-
That word seasons is the Hebrew word moed M-O-E-D.
-
It means an appointed time, appointed place, a meeting.
-
God does things on His schedule.
-
We don't know what it is sometimes, sometimes we do, but God has a schedule.
-
Today is Palm Sunday and it's always a special time for me because it is the day when the church at large celebrates the time when Jesus came into Jerusalem for his last week on earth before he was crucified, and they had an appointed time and they missed it.
-
We're going to talk about that, but we have an appointed time and we're not going to miss it.
-
In fact, 1726, god has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on the face of the earth and have to term the times beforehand appointed and the bounds of their habitation.
-
You know, I pray that over people a lot of times.
-
When they're believing God for a new home or a new house, or they're praying about where to live, I said well, god's established the bounds of your habitation.
-
Well, you just follow that right.
-
Okay, thank you, thank you.
-
Appointed meeting.
-
Appointed place.
-
Appointed sign or signal.
-
A tent of meeting.
-
It looks like a tent of meeting in here tonight.
-
Good enough for me.
-
Times and seasons that word is used very commonly to refer to the feasts of Israel.
-
There were seven feasts that they kept and I'm not going to teach a whole exhaustive series.
-
In fact, I'm not going to mention all the seven feasts at all, but there was the Feasts of Tabernacles, the Feasts of Trumpets, the Feasts of Unloved Bread, and all of these have different meanings and it's awesome and fascinating and someday I'll do a series on that because I love the feasts and to talk about them.
-
But those were signs and seasons and the children of Israel were working out the plan of salvation in their various holidays that they celebrated.
-
Listen to this Sarah, the matriarch, abraham's wife, sarah, first in Genesis 1721.
-
It says but my covenant I will establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee.
-
This is God talking to Abraham before Isaac was ever born.
-
That's a good name.
-
In it, god spoke to Sarah and said you're going to have a son named Isaac.
-
And he spoke to Abraham and he said which Sarah shall bear unto you at this set time, in the next year, at this set time, you, even though Sarah is 99, she's going to bear a child.
-
So she laughed about that.
-
And so in the next chapter, in Genesis 18, 14, it says Is anything too hard for the Lord At the time appointed?
-
There's that word again at the Moed I will return unto thee and according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
-
It is going to happen.
-
It's an appointed time.
-
Then, in the next chapter, several chapters later, verse 21, genesis 21, 2, for Sarah conceived and bear Abraham, a son in his old age, at the set time, moed, of which God had spoken to him.
-
God moved in that time, in times and seasons.
-
He moved.
-
He had a clock and a calendar in his mind and they had to trust what God said was true.
-
In my own life I've seen God do that.
-
You know there's another word for times and seasons in the Bible.
-
And so not everything that God does is set.
-
He didn't set into motion when he created the world everything, because we I'm a free will person, are you a free will person?
-
I believe we have a free will.
-
God does not control us.
-
He is not a puppet master Having a bunch of robots.
-
I will love you, Lord, I will serve you.
-
That's not what God wanted.
-
So there are some things that just happen.
-
Ecclesiastes 3,.
-
Let's turn there and go there.
-
This is not a Moed To everything.
-
There's a time and a season to every purpose under heaven a time to live, a time to die.
-
I'm not going to read the whole thing, but y'all know that A time for war, a time for peace, a time to build up, a time to plant, a time to reap, a time to break down, a time to embrace, a time to refrain from embracing.
-
I'm singing, the song from the yard burns in my head right now All of those times and seasons.
-
That's just another word, for that's the word et, the Hebrew word et and it means just it happens that stuff happens.
-
There's a purpose for it, but God, and because we determine, we determine when we have children, sometimes we determine, sometimes our choices lead to.
-
People of history have let you know things that they affect their lifespan with their choices.
-
There are things that wars and rumors of wars, those happen by people's will and God is a puppet master making all those things happen.
-
But he does have Moeds for you and for me, and he has.
-
He does have things that he said in the motion when he created you, things that you don't want to miss.
-
But we can choose by our will to miss them and we don't want to.
-
We're not going to miss it.
-
I'll give you a light example.
-
This morning Ms Galen Keyes came up to me.
-
I don't see her here tonight, but she came up.
-
She had a testimony.
-
She was, has been believing God for a new house for a long time and she had her eye on one and God had already worked out the price of that one.
-
So she had to sell her old one and so she put it on the market and it didn't sell.
-
And and she and an offer that she had on it fell through and so it was just crushing.
-
And she told her realtor put she heard God say first of all, she heard God say next Tuesday.
-
So she called up a realtor.
-
She said put it back on the market and raise the price.
-
And she knew what to do, because God said next Tuesday.
-
God said next Tuesday.
-
And so she put it back on the offer.
-
And sure enough, on Tuesday that offer came in.
-
It was higher than what she planned.
-
It was better.
-
It was well more than enough to pay for the new house that she had her eye on.
-
God had it all orchestrated for her good.
-
When I was 29 years old, well, when I was 22 years old, I passed up a chance to marry the wrong person, and so from that moment on, until I was 29 years old, the right person did not come along and there were some counterfeits.
-
But at the time I was a marathon runner and I would run.
-
Well, only I ran one marathon, but I trained for it really hard and I ran other races up until that.
-
But I liked to run, it was my hobby and I would pray and run and pound the pavement and tell God and just work out my issue, because I had a desire to be a wife and to be a mother and I saw my time passing by and I would tell God I am not going to be by the time I'm 30.
-
And God didn't tell me that, I just decided when I'm 30, I am not willing.
-
I am not devil.
-
Did you hear me?
-
God?
-
Did you hear me?
-
I am not willing to be still living with my parents when I'm 30.
-
And I chose to live with my parents because I don't like being alone.
-
It is lonely and sad.
-
So I lived with my parents and they let me and they liked it, they acted like they did, but they didn't like it that much because they went to a special meeting with a well-known evangelist of that day and they and we enjoyed the ministry of this person and they were meeting with this person in another state and it was a small group of people, of donors to that one minister.
-
And dad felt on his heart I'm going to sow a seed for Claire's husband, and he did.
-
He sowed a generous seed from his.
-
He gave of his own, him and my mom and gave of their finances and sowed a seed and he attached it.
-
In his spirit he said this is, you know, this is my faith, god.
-
I believe that God, you're bringing in a husband for Claire, and now Claire is 29.
-
Claire has been praying and God doesn't move to the clock or the calendar, and yet there are Moeds.
-
And so this minister said, as soon as he heard dad's prayer request, he said 30 days, 30 days, 30 days.
-
And so I was like great dad.
-
He came home, kind of he was excited.
-
I said 30 days and it was June.
-
You know 30 days.
-
And y'all know I didn't meet James till September.
-
But I was supposed to meet James in July.
-
So that was good enough for me.
-
James missed his day of visitation.
-
We were supposed to have a.
-
We were supposed to go to a.
-
My friend has been trying to get me to meet James forever and ever, and so I said, oh, claire, you've got to meet this guy.
-
And she finally talked me into it, and he finally talked James into meeting me, and so we were all going to meet at my friend's family reunion, and so I baked a pie and a strawberry rhubarb pie and I brought it to that family reunion and he did not come, and that's the story.
-
So, instead of meeting him at a family reunion, I got to meet him in a hospital room wearing a hospital gown after a grinding car wreck, and that's another story.
-
But I believe there was a time, I believe there was a set time and because of that time, because I had faith about that, I was like maybe this guy is it, maybe he's the one, whereas maybe if I didn't have that, I wouldn't, I mean, but because I had faith.
-
And then Palm Sunday 2020 was a set time for me in my life and, I believe, for this church, and I'll tell you about that in a minute.
-
There are other set times the day of salvation, second Corinthians six.
-
We then, as workers, together with him, also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain, for he says.
-
Now he starts quoting from Isaiah 49.
-
In an acceptable time, I have heard you and in the day of salvation, I have helped you.
-
Behold, now is the accepted time.
-
Behold, now is the day of salvation.
-
Do not wait anymore, do not wonder who your Messiah is.
-
You don't have to put it off in the future, you do not have to have more judgment, you do not have to have more time go by, except the free gift of God's salvation Now, today, right now.
-
We're going to get to do that.
-
We're at whatever it is.
-
God wants to fix it tonight.
-
We are going to receive from the Lord tonight.
-
So back to Luke 19 and Palm Sunday in the day of visitation, luke 19.
-
Jesus comes into Jerusalem and on his way in.
-
This is such a beautiful picture.
-
The entire chapter talks.
-
It's really about the day of salvation for different people.
-
You first of all.
-
You have the day of salvation for Zacchaeus.
-
Jesus is on his way into town and Zacchaeus is a tax collector.
-
He's a Jew, but he's working for the Romans.
-
The Jews hated the Romans.
-
Here he is a sellout.
-
He's really good at it because he is rich.
-
The Romans have paid a lot of money for him to betray his countrymen.
-
He is a social outcast rich one, but a social outcast and he is a religious outcast.
-
Jesus has been listening to the Romans, but you know what Zacchaeus means Pure and innocent.
-
He did not live up to his name.
-
He felt guilty, he felt dirty.
-
But he knew Jesus was coming in town and so he found a tree.
-
He said I'm too short and I'm not going to be able to see him for all this crowd.
-
I'm going to find where Jesus is.
-
I got to go.
-
I got to find where can I see him.
-
I'm going to climb up in the sycamore tree right here.
-
So he did.
-
When Jesus came verse 5, he looked up and saw him and said to him Zacchaeus, make haste and come back, for today.
-
Everybody say today, today, I must stay at your house.
-
There was an appointed time, I've got to do it.
-
So he made haste and came down and received him joyfully.
-
But when they saw it, they all complained, saying he was going to be, he has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.
-
So Jesus was always at odds with the religious crowd.
-
He was always.
-
They were always trying to rip him down.
-
They would not recognize.
-
I believe.
-
They knew he was the Messiah, but they wanted to compete with him.
-
They didn't want him to take their position of honor.
-
And so Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord Look, lord, I give half of my goods to the poor and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusations.
-
I restore fourfold.
-
In other words, he repented, he came to a place of repentance.
-
It was his day of salvation and he gave up his old ways.
-
And he didn't just do it with his words, he actually went and made everything as right as he could.
-
And Jesus said to him today, that's better than gallery furniture.
-
Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is the son of Abraham and the son of man has come to seek and save that which was lost.
-
So the outcast became the incast.
-
He became a friend of Jesus.
-
He became known to everyone as the friend of Jesus and it made some people mad, but it made Zacchaeus really glad.
-
It was his day of salvation and he didn't miss it.
-
Then, if you keep reading, that's when Jesus, now Jesus makes it all the way into Jerusalem.
-
Now the people are shouting Hosanna, hosanna, blessed, as he who comes in the name of the Lord.
-
It's the son of David, he's come, hosanna, hosanna.
-
And they cast down their clothes over the road so he could ride on his donkey over their clothes.
-
They cast down palm leaves and they wave the palm branches and worship to the king.
-
They knew he was the Messiah.
-
It was his disciples that did that.
-
And then the religious people.
-
Remember how the religious people acted.
-
They did not like it.
-
The Pharisees verse 39, called to him from the crowd teacher, rebuke your disciples.
-
If you read this account, I'm gonna flip over to Matthew 26.
-
Is it Matthew?
-
Matthew 21.
-
Matthew 21 has the same account.
-
Here it is the triumphal entry.
-
Here it is Jesus cleansing the temple, because that's what he does.
-
Right after that he goes and changes, overchanges, overturns the tables of the money changers in the temple.
-
He cleanses the temple and then, in verse 14, okay, and then he starts healing people.
-
The blind and the lame came to him in the temple and he healed them.
-
But when the chief priest in the scribe saw the wonderful things that he did, the children crying out, the children everybody say the children.
-
So there wasn't just adults doing this, it was children.
-
And that is what pushed the button of the Pharisees, the worst Children crying out in the temple and saying Hosanna to the son of David, son of David.
-
They were indignant, indignant, self righteous, self righteous, looking down their nose, but angry, definitely angry.
-
And they said to him do you hear what these are saying?
-
And Jesus said to them yes, have you never read out of the mouths of babes and nursing infants?
-
You have a perfected praise.
-
Now he's quoting Psalm 8.
-
I'm just fulfilling Psalm 8.
-
They're silencing the enemy and the avenger, and here you are still yapping your jaws.
-
Okay, back to Luke 19.
-
So that all happens.
-
Jesus is here, he is here, and the religious people, just like God, is here.
-
I believe God is moving right now in our nation, even though it is so ugly.
-
It was ugly politically in Israel.
-
In that day the Romans had taken over everything and the Jews were being overrun and in fact soon it would all crumble apart.
-
Soon, right after Jesus, just in the was it AD 72, terenos, ad 73, the Romans would completely overtake Jerusalem and that temple that Jesus said would fall down really did.
-
And then the Romans would carry it and they would kill a lot of people and then blood would flow and it was a terrible, terrible day for Israel.
-
But that was 72 years after Jesus and he saw that something bad was coming, there was something that was set into place and he was trying to anyway, and he saw that and the religious people hated him.
-
And so he said, as he drew near, he saw the city and wept over it, saying if you had known even you, especially in this, your day the things that make for your peace.
-
So listen to this.
-
So, before I read the next part, I wanna tell you what happened to me two years ago, right leading up to Palm Sunday 2020,.
-
The shutdown had just happened and I knew in my spirit that it was a terrible, dark day for our history, because I knew that it would be a really long time before we got to open up again.
-
I knew that the spirit of this age was using that to steal our freedoms.
-
I knew that our country, even though it's not perfect, had been the freest country and the freest system of government, at least in the history of mankind, and that the spirit of this age wanted to shut that down so that they can control.
-
They could control the spread of the gospel, they could control the messaging.
-
I saw that.
-
I knew that Many of you saw and knew and felt that same spirit of the age just trying to clamp down.
-
And so, when I was reading and in fact, dad had he felt from the Holy Ghost that it was right for us to close for those two weeks to flatten the curve, even though we all knew it would be more than two weeks.
-
He said well, I'll give it two weeks and that's it.
-
And so he said we'll do it two weeks, we'll be online only, but when we come back, we're coming back.
-
And so he wasn't gonna break his word.
-
I knew he wasn't gonna break his word, but I needed spectacular guidance.
-
I didn't know I needed it, but God thought I did because I was reading.
-
I was just my regular reading.
-
I came across Luke 19 that day and then I read this passage and it echoed so strongly to me this is the shutdown.
-
This is the shutdown.
-
It says if you had known, even you, especially this, your day the things that make for your peace, but now are they hidden from your eyes.
-
For the days will come upon you when your enemies and this is not to me, this was God talking to the people who did not recognize Messiah.
-
He is talking to the Pharisees.
-
He is talking to the people, not to his disciples.
-
He's talking to the people who rejected him, and I saw this going out like our nation.
-
They're hidden from your eyes.
-
For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you and surround you and close you in on every side and level you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another because you did not know the time of your visitation.
-
Jesus said this is the plan of the devil.
-
It's about to happen to you.
-
This temple is gonna be torn down.
-
Don't let that happen.
-
I'm here, I am Messiah.
-
You've been praying for me and I'm here.
-
And he?
-
They would not.
-
They would not recognize the move of God.
-
And I watched as the church across America, prominent men of the church, leaders of the church, would say well, stay home and save lives, and they shut down their churches.
-
I saw them give away their power.
-
I saw him lay it at the devil's feet, and yet I saw that God was moving.
-
I saw that Jesus was rushing in.
-
I saw that there was a time when he was coming to our city.
-
Jesus is coming, and it's for a time as this.
-
He is here, and so for me, I was excited.
-
I said Palm Sunday is gonna be something kind of some kind of day.
-
I don't know what's gonna happen, but now we've been closed two weeks, now we're gonna open up.
-
What's gonna happen?
-
What's gonna happen?
-
Well, 120 people showed up.
-
We did get some hate mail.
-
How many of you were at that?
-
One of the 120 that showed up?
-
If there's 120 in the upper room, there could be 120 here, and so 120 people showed up and so did all the media, and all of the two 11, 13 and 26 were all parked out in our parking lot.
-
Was that the day that the BBC called and Good Morning America called?
-
Or was that next week on Easter Sunday?
-
I can't remember, but it got thick.
-
James had to be on the BBC with his bad haircut that I gave him in our bathroom because there was no salon open.
-
Sister in Germany is gonna see you on TV, call us.
-
So she didn't.
-
I can't say.
-
I mean, I thought somebody was gonna raise from the dead that day.
-
I thought that we were gonna run around the church.
-
It was a good service we had a couple of.
-
We were braced and ready because we didn't know if Lena Dogo was gonna come arrest my dad or James or any of our leadership team.
-
We were pretty sure that she would not arrest any of you because we had some contacts.
-
We were.
-
It was a nerve-wracking time and I was really disappointed that other churches I didn't see other churches really standing up, and since then I've found that there were a few, but I haven't seen very many.
-
And I had, and I remained just completely disappointed because I would have thought that the churches would rise up more than they did.
-
So anyway, here it is the time of our visitation, and since that time nothing spectacular happened, except for that we met, except for that we kept doing the word that we forsook, not the assembling of ourselves together as a manner of thumb, but even more as we saw the day approaching.
-
We did the word and so we did it, but I did see more influence.
-
Now, right after that, he went on a podcast or local radio podcast here in town on the Michael Berry Show.
-
It's one of the top 10 podcasts in the nation.
-
At the time he spoke for 45 minutes just to share the gospel.
-
We didn't have to buy that time.
-
We spend a little money on local radio, but nothing with that kind of reach.
-
We had a lady call us from New York and say will you please send us a Palm Branch?
-
Send me a Palm Branch, please, bless it.
-
She was Catholic, but please just, can you bless a Palm Branch for me and send it to you?
-
I can't find a church that's open.
-
I just want to worship God as Palm Sunday.
-
I want to worship God.
-
I want to worship God on Easter.
-
Will you please send me a Palm Branch?
-
We did.
-
We got one down from our palm tree, we prayed and anointed it and since that time God has opened doors for us in different areas that we never dreamed.
-
Thank y'all for praying for James a couple of weeks ago when he had the SD7 convention.
-
I know many of y'all did.
-
He's become very involved in Republican Party politics.
-
He was involved about this much.
-
Now he's involved about this much.
-
And God is not a Republican and we're not trying to make anybody a Republican, but we are trying to make Republicans love Jesus.
-
We kind of gave up on the other side and we thought if there's one party out there that can love Jesus, we can tweak this one.
-
It's easier to work with this one.
-
Right, and so it's working.
-
It's working.
-
It wasn't easy, but it wasn't easy.
-
But people are reporting.
-
Wow, you know, when we go to party meetings there's this whole different atmosphere.
-
We can talk about God and people do, and people share scriptures from the podium.
-
That never people normally, who would not have done that or acted like that at all.
-
And people are going to each other's baptisms, you know, in the party office, thank you, tara.
-
They're hiring people who care about the things of God, I mean it's.
-
Things are changing and I believe it was our day of visitation, I believe there was a set time for that and it's still playing out.
-
I just have to have faith.
-
See, that's our part.
-
God doesn't tell us all the time.
-
Notice that.
-
He didn't say when, he didn't say what was going to happen in 30 days.
-
When Benny Hinn, you know, said what you know, you're going to get, you're going to find a man in 30 days.
-
He didn't say that, he just said 30 days.
-
Well, I don't know what's going to happen.
-
What does that mean?
-
30 days, 30 days, 30 days.
-
I'm going to what?
-
How, I don't know.
-
Galanke's heard next Tuesday.
-
What does that mean next Tuesday?
-
God just worked it out and we have a part to play.
-
Will we have faith in what he tells us?
-
Will we follow the Holy Ghost?
-
So we're not going to miss it?
-
All right.
-
So here are some times.
-
So we got the day of salvation we have.
-
We have due season.
-
That's a set time, dude.
-
Well, where's that on the calendar?
-
I don't know.
-
So that's the end of season.
-
Six nine says and let us not be weary and well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not, it's just due season whenever our harvest is ready, and we don't know when that is, but God always knows when it is.
-
So the thing that we're praying for and we just really got to have God do it right now.
-
We have to have patience because there's due season, habakkuk 2, that's when it reminded me Habakkuk 2, the Lord answered and said so, this is a prophet, habakkuk, who's talking to God, who's already questioning God, because he is living in an awful time in history.
-
I mean, you think you got it right now.
-
Bad because gas prices are high.
-
Habakkuk had it pretty bad because the legal system in Israel was falling apart and everything.
-
This was way before Jesus came and it was all.
-
I mean, israel was going down the tubes and he had to watch it, and so he was asking God about it.
-
What do I do?
-
And so he said well, I'm going to give you some words to say write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run.
-
Who reads it?
-
For the vision is yet for an appointed time.
-
Did we have a vision from God?
-
Has he given us a word about how things are supposed to go?
-
He did, it's this word, and we got to be in it, we got to be reading it and he gave us that.
-
And he said it's for an appointed time.
-
Though it, yeah, but at the end it will speak and it will not lie, though it tarries.
-
Wait for it, because it will surely come and it will not tarry.
-
Well, is it going to tarry or not tarry?
-
Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come and it will not tarry.
-
I got to say, when I look back on what God has done, he made up for lost time.
-
For me, it felt like I waited forever and ever, but when it finally happened, he erased all of that, all that angst, and he just helped me.
-
Hallelujah.
-
I thought I was going to be an old maid, but all of a sudden I was a married lady when, boom, I had three kids before I blinked.
-
Then it says behold the proud his soul has.
-
No, no, is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith.
-
Are we going to have faith when we don't see the end, when we don't have that exact timeframe, will we still trust God?
-
Will we still have faith?
-
Will we?
-
Will we be patient?
-
Hallelujah, we can, we can endure those things.
-
We can see it with our mind's eye, with our eye of faith.
-
All right, so we have.
-
We have due season.
-
Oh, listen to this.
-
Listen to this Proverbs 15, 23,.
-
A man has joy by the answer of his mouth and in a word spoken in due season.
-
How good it is when you have due season.
-
Is your mouth moving?
-
You know, due season can happen sooner if you get your mouth working along with it.
-
Hallelujah, so that's a set time, due season.
-
We've got the day of salvation.
-
We've got due season.
-
Of course, we've got the day of judgment.
-
I won't go into that, but there's a set time for that.
-
There's a time when we'll see the fruit of our righteousness and and even though we may have committed sin, guess what?
-
It's under the blood of Jesus and we won't ever have to answer for that sin because Jesus paid it.
-
Hallelujah, there is a day of judgment.
-
But woe to those who don't apply the blood of Jesus, because they'll have to answer for this, their sin, on that day.
-
But I want to talk about this last time in an appointed time.
-
This is the wedding supper of the Lamb, and Jesus said in Matthew 24, verse 36, of that day and that hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my father only.
-
But as the days of Noah were, so also in the days of the coming of man, so we can start to feel a season of when it's going to happen, but we don't know the hour, as the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving and marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and then it all changed and they didn't know.
-
Therefore, verse 44, you also be ready, for the Son of man is coming in an hour you do not expect.
-
Let me tell you a story.
-
When Jesus said this, his audience knew something that we don't know in Western culture, and I dug up a little of some things about it in 2018.
-
I did a teaching called betrothed to Jesus.
-
It was about the parallels in the New Testament, especially between Jewish wedding traditions and in the words of Jesus.
-
And we are betrothed to Jesus, he is going to marry the church and the bride of Christ is the church and Jesus is the groom and God is the father and figuratively his wife was the nation of Israel.
-
So it's all kind of.
-
There's so many symbols in the Bible, it's so awesome.
-
But guess what?
-
When a Jewish couple in that day would get engaged, the engagement process was very elaborate.
-
It was almost like they had the wedding ceremony itself at the time of the engagement, and they had a canopy that would represent the covering of the husband over the wife and his protective care over her.
-
And they would go under this canopy and he would ask for her hand in marriage and that would be, but they wouldn't really be married after that, they would just be betrothed.
-
And it took a whole year and from that time forth her life changed.
-
Because she had to move out of her father's house, she had to move in with her friends and she had to become.
-
She had to start learning wifey skills cooking and knitting or whatever she was going to do that was going to help her household and her family, help her be a good wife, help her be a good mother.
-
So she learned those.
-
She left her father's house and for that year she waited on him and he and she couldn't even talk to him.
-
They had like a go between, which is a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
-
But this was.
-
This all went on for a year.
-
What was what was he doing?
-
What was the groom doing?
-
Well, he was preparing a place for her.
-
He was building out a another room in his father's house, he was building on, adding on to the family property and he was making a very special wedding suite and he was preparing it.
-
And and so it was the father of the groom.
-
It was his job to inspect the work of that groom to see if it was suitable to bring a wife home to it.
-
Yet, and when, when the father decided that the wedding room was ready, then he would announce it.
-
Then he would hurry up and announce it and everybody would have to just be ready and then have the wedding, like right then, and then all of the groom's family would come over and get the bride and everybody could have the wedding right there.
-
And it could be in the middle of the night, it could be anytime, and you never knew when the wedding was going to happen.
-
Just when the father said, just when the father said how many of y'all read John 14, one and two?
-
In my father's house?
-
There are many mansions that were not true.
-
I would not have told you and I go to prepare a place for you that where I am there you may also be Hallelujah.
-
And he would even say that I am going to prepare a place for you and I will return to you when it is ready.
-
And then, if anyone asked him, he would say only my father knows, only my father knows, that was their tradition, only my father knows.
-
So Jesus knew these things.
-
I'm telling you, we haven't appointed time.
-
It is the marriage supper of the land, but we have so much work to do first, so much work.
-
We can't just rest in that one fact alone, and I think that's why dad, my dad, he's prickly sometimes.
-
His job is to wake up the church because we can't always just talk about the wedding supper of the lamb and we can just peace out and go home and take a nap Right now.
-
You know, james preached last week and he had a.
-
I was like James.
-
That was a lot of hard things.
-
He said there, james, it's time.
-
Right now is a critical time.
-
Right now the spirit of this age is trying to claim our kids.
-
There was a school in Texas and I don't know where it was, but the teacher said, and she's a conservative teacher.
-
She said please help, about 40% of 32 students, and like 20 something of them are in their fourth grade students, 20 something of them are reporting that they're gay or lesbian or something, something, something.
-
And we've never seen this in our history.
-
But they're being groomed.
-
This culture, the God of this age.
-
Even now, disney has admitted that there is a not so secret gay agenda.
-
I don't know if y'all heard that clip of the insider at Disney saying that.
-
You know she's, she's trying to put queerness into various parts of Disney movies.
-
Oh, where can I put two girls kissing in the background?
-
Where can I do this?
-
Where can I do that?
-
And I feel so supported in my mission.
-
So there is just this right now.
-
I mean, it's been planned for a long time, maybe by, by people, but also by the devil, and so just I.
-
There is an urgency right now, that same pipeline that there is for abortion, you know, a pipeline of, of, of, of tragic family life and situations and no love at home, and so there's no choice, right, there's no choice, there's no support, but for me to to kill my baby and then, and then we celebrate about it now, which we that's never been celebrated before, but now it's got to be celebrated.
-
And and all the money that that comes in in that industry then goes right back to that messaging that then increases the problem with you know.
-
So then there's more money, more messaging, increasing the problem.
-
And that pipeline was built a long time ago and the church just sat there and watched that pipeline be built.
-
And right now there's another pipeline.
-
It's the gender confusion pipeline.
-
Your confused, oh, you're sad.
-
It must be because you're confused about who God made you.
-
No, god's not even anything.
-
But why would be confused about who God made us?
-
We can't change it.
-
We're fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God.
-
My members were right in the lower parts of the earth.
-
He saw them when they were yet unformed.
-
So I'm 139.
-
And they're there, they're, they're formed already and they can't be and they cannot be changed Only God.
-
And so that pipeline is being created.
-
Ok, so now you'll need drugs, now you'll need surgery, now you'll need money, money.
-
You'll pay money, money, money, money, money, money, money, your entire life.
-
You will need to pay money into the pipeline so that those people can have more messaging, so the messaging can make more people confused, and so, and then no one.
-
And then the bonus for the spirit of this age is that no one now can reproduce, and so then we can't pollute the planet.
-
So then that's good for the earth, right?
-
So all of the spirit of this age is just, it looks like it's winning, and it makes me mad when I really think about it.
-
I'm not going to be mad, I'm going to be victorious, because this is our finest hour.
-
This has got to be the day of visitation for the church.
-
This has got to be when Jesus is coming in.
-
It doesn't matter what the world does, because greater is he that's in us than he that is in the world.
-
But we cannot be ignorant of his devices, and we can't be asleep.
-
They're not asleep, those of those people in that army of people.
-
They want to convert our kids.
-
That is their stated goal, and it is not secret anymore.
-
And it's it's, it's in your face.
-
But I'm not going to go into the closet, for being a Christian, I'm going to be way out and proud.
-
Amen, I'm proud, and so the people of God.
-
It's time for us.
-
It's time for us.
-
You know, jesus said at the set time today is the day of salvation.
-
Where was he quoting?
-
Actually, paul said that today is the day of salvation.
-
He was quoting Isaiah.
-
That's at the end of my notes.
-
He was quoting in Isaiah 49.
-
And I'm going to close with this, and this is our mission, and then we're going to see what God does for us, because we have an appointed time of salvation.
-
Isaiah 49, 7 and 8 says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, their holy one, to him, whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to the servant of rulers, king shall see and arise and prince shall also worship because of the Lord who is faithful.
-
In other words, jesus is going to come, even though he's rejected, he's going to be exalted.
-
The holy one of Israel.
-
He has chosen you.
-
Thus says the Lord in an acceptable time.
-
I have heard you in the day of salvation.
-
I have helped you.
-
I will preserve you and give you as a covenant to the people to restore the earth.
-
If Jesus's mission was to seek and save that which was lost, our mission is to restore the earth to him, to cause them to inherit the desolate heritages.
-
Man, it's a desolate heritage.
-
Today, your future is a future of.
-
You've maimed yourself and now you're confused and you have to be on drugs the rest of your life and you've done irreversible damage to the body God gave you and you are desolate in your heritage.
-
You will never have children.
-
That is the devil's plan.
-
But we're going to cause them.
-
We're going to come into those places and take them out of that land and you say to the prisoners go forth.
-
And to those who are in darkness, show yourselves.
-
I believe one of the reasons we need healing miracles so bad is because those people are going to need healing and praise God when God comes in and, by his mercy and with his power that only he has, would he heal somebody like that?
-
You know he would.
-
You know he will, and we're going to get to see it with our eyes, hallelujah.
-
But it is time for us to engage and it's time to also for us to have our whew.
-
We've got to possess our own salvation.
-
We have it.
-
God gave it to us.
-
Jesus poured it out, he bought it.
-
He bought sotaria, the Greek word.
-
It means.
-
It means health, it means deliverance and it just and it means salvation, deliverance from judgment.
