Multitudes In The Valley Of Decision

All right, if you want to lift up your Bibles, just stretch it out.
-
We're just going to say a quick confession, because it matters what we say, amen, hallelujah, say.
-
This is my Bible.
-
I have come to, let it be in my heart tonight.
-
My ears are open, I'm ready to receive and I'm a doer of the word, not just a hearer, and I'm going to get the full result in Jesus' name.
-
Amen, amen, all right.
-
Well, I don't think we'll be here long tonight.
-
Sometimes we teach and sometimes we just encourage and exhort, and so I just have some things on my heart tonight, just to encourage and exhort.
-
And so my title of my message tonight is Multitudes in the Valley of Decision.
-
I've been in the book of Joel and let me just read out of Joel, chapter three, where I got the title in verse 12.
-
It says Let the nations be awakened and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
-
This is God talking, and this is talking about the culminating of the end of days, and not a popular subject sometimes in the church, you know.
-
But it matters because Jesus is coming back and he's coming back for a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle and we read the end of the book so we know what happens.
-
It's good for us, amen.
-
For those of us who are believers, it's good, all right.
-
So he said Put in the sickle, for the harvest is right, come and go down, for the wine press is full and the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.
-
So God is a wonderful, just God.
-
He will not allow evil to go on forever.
-
There is an end to the evil, and it encourages us when we read about it.
-
And so he's going to judge that evil.
-
It's going to go away.
-
But right now he said there's multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision, in the valley of decision, for the day of the Lord is near.
-
In the valley of decision.
-
It's a time of pressing.
-
It's a time it's so important and I feel it so much.
-
You know, I've got three kids and I see this age.
-
Anna's going into the sixth grade and I remember being in the sixth grade.
-
I won't use Anna, but I'll just use me.
-
Remember, in the sixth grade you had friends and you were friends with your whole life.
-
But sixth grade was like when they changed right, when they decided who they're going to be, what are they going to?
-
You know, are they going to be a jock, are they going to be a drill team girl, are they going to be?
-
And then later, and then just a couple years later, it kind of got dark, right.
-
Who's going to be the stoner, who's going to be the waiver?
-
Remember that I'm like jading myself in my generation.
-
But you know, everybody had their little, their old clique at school that they fit into and you know who were the nerds and who were the band kids and whatever, and we were defined in a certain way.
-
I just feel like there are people just waiting for God.
-
I mean, they're just, they could go either way, and you don't know what point that, when you're meeting people day to day, people are hanging in the balance it is.
-
We can't take for granted what people are going through.
-
We don't see it always on the outside, but I just feel like people are hanging in the balance and so it's up to, and sometimes we feel like we're hanging in the balance.
-
We need to be encouraged so we can help others, amen.
-
So so in 1 Peter, chapter 3, verse 15, it says but sanctify the Lord, god, in your heart and always be ready.
-
Everybody say always, always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
-
And so there's people on the you know, on the brink right now.
-
I've got them coming through my life right now.
-
I just feel such an urgency sometimes, and yet God says to always be ready, because we don't know when more of them are coming.
-
And one of the saddest scriptures in the Bible is Psalm 78.
-
I'm going to read that to you because this is what we don't want to happen.
-
Psalm 78, the children of Ephraim being armed and carrying bows.
-
Who are the children of Ephraim?
-
Those are the people of Israel should have had a covenant with God.
-
They did have a covenant with God.
-
They should have been talking about all of his wonderful works.
-
They should be basking in his glory and living in their inherited land and just serving him with all their hearts.
-
But they, they were armed and carrying bows.
-
They turned back in the day of battle.
-
They did not keep the covenant of God.
-
They refused to walk in his law and forgot his works and his wonders that he had shown them.
-
It is the day of battle, have you all noticed?
-
There's a battle, there's a battle, and it's not just a cultural battle, it is a spiritual battle in the root of all of the other battles and the mean things people say on the internet and the mean things people might say to school board meeting or in the classroom or in all others walks of life, that battle is a, at root, a spiritual battle.
-
And even though the people of Ephraim here in Psalm 78, they had the equipment, they were armed, they were, they had bows and but yet they did not fight.
-
And there are a lot of church people that know all of the word man, they have the equipment, but they're choosing to and we'll just sit this one out and they turn back and then I could just cry right now.
-
They turned, they turned back in the day of battle and I feel like you know, jesus is coming soon, but we've got to occupy till he comes.
-
What kind of world are we going to give our kids?
-
The time of autopilot Christianity where we can just live in a free country and come to church on Sundays and do whatever we want all week and just have this little country for us and our freedom and then just our kids.
-
It's over.
-
Have you all noticed that?
-
So we got to bring it and, thank God, god put us in this generation.
-
He's got equipment for us that we can take advantage of in the last days.
-
So my dad always says teach what you take for granted.
-
And since I was a teenager, now I'm a mom of teenagers.
-
But when I was a teenager I heard about there is a pastor by the name of Tommy Hicks and in 1961, he had a vision and he knew that it was a vision of the end time church.
-
And you said well, claire, I don't want to listen to some other guy's vision.
-
I don't know that guy.
-
That's just crazy talk.
-
It's just some dream he had.
-
It could have been anything.
-
He had this vision two different times and I didn't know this man personally, but it rings true to me.
-
And if you don't like his story, then it's very similar to a vision that the prophet Ezekiel had in Ezekiel 37.
-
And you can read about this.
-
It's very similar to me and I just wanted to read a little bit about it and just see if it witnesses with you, because it's your witness with me.
-
So he was asleep, but he found himself in a great height.
-
I'm going to read it in the first person.
-
I found myself in a great high distance and I was facing the north and suddenly I beheld what looked like a giant.
-
And I'm going to give you the punchline now so you can understand what's happening here.
-
He's seeing the end time church and it is like a sleeping giant.
-
So just listen Now, you can kind of know what you're hearing.
-
And as I stared and looked at it, I was almost bewildered by the sight.
-
It was so gigantic, it was so great in stature.
-
His feet seemed to reach to the north pole and his head to the south.
-
Its arms were stretched from sea to sea and I could not even begin to understand whether this was a mountain or whether it was a giant.
-
And as I watched it, I suddenly beheld this great giant.
-
I could see it was struggling for life.
-
I feel like the church is on life support sometimes, right, why have we let our country go down?
-
Why have we let this invasion of sin come?
-
Anyway?
-
And so it's struggling even to live?
-
But his body was covered with debris from head to foot.
-
I feel like it's like.
-
You know, people just got comfortable, they got uncomfortable in their sin, they got all cozy with the world and just the debris of this world got on them and us, all of us, and head to foot.
-
And at times this great giant would move and act like it would rise up.
-
But when it did and when it did start to rise up, it would have results.
-
These little tiny creatures, the demonic ugly creatures, would run away from the giant, but then he would stop his struggle and then all the ugly creatures would come back and just surround him and just, and so this giant it's like the church kind of will rise up sometimes and have some results and then shrink back and we just can't decide where we want to be.
-
It's time to wake up, amen.
-
And so, but listen, what happened?
-
So, all of a sudden, this great giant lifted his hand toward the heavens and then lifted his other hand.
-
When it did, these creatures, by thousands, seemed to flee away and into the darkness.
-
And slowly this great giant began to rise and his head and his hands went into the clouds.
-
So he begins to praise God, and when he does, the clouds.
-
So now he's reaching up and the clouds turn into silver, bright light, and then the silver, bright light dissipates I'm paraphrasing a little bit and it came raining back, and now the clouds are raining, this bright, anointed light all over the place, melting into everything in the earth, and now the giant itself seemed to melt and became millions of people.
-
Everybody say millions of people.
-
You are not alone.
-
It feels like you were alone.
-
The devil would like to isolate you.
-
He would want to make you feel like you are the only person that cares about this fight, that cares about this battle, that loves, has passion for the things of God right now, and it says God platform.
-
And so it became millions of people and they stood up all over the world and they were also begin to praise the Lord.
-
Now you were like a representative of that light, that silver, bright light that came on you.
-
And at that very moment there was a great thunder, a roar from heaven and there was a figure in white.
-
It was the Lord Jesus.
-
He stretched forth his hand and every time he did he would point toward people and that liquid light seemed to flow from his hand into this person and a mighty anointing of God came upon them.
-
Everybody say that's me, and they began to go forth in the name of the Lord.
-
And so he kept doing that, and some people that he's, and so some people that Tommy Hicks really respected.
-
When Jesus would point at them as if to hey, I've chosen you, I'm anointing you, I'm sending you out, and the light would wanna come on them, but they would refuse it and they would shrink away into the darkness.
-
And he thought that is.
-
I was surprised, and I've been surprised at the people who have shrunk away in these last days.
-
I've been surprised at the people who would turn back in the day of battle.
-
But we are not those.
-
We are not of those who turn back in the day of battle, but we press ahead.
-
Amen.
-
And so it was.
-
People from all over the world, all every nation, tribe and tongue, people fighting with the anointing though of God and praising God, with the joy of God on their face and lighting up, and they were unstoppable.
-
And the vision goes on.
-
You can find it at billybremorg or you can just Google Tommy Hicks vision 1961, you can read it for yourself.
-
It's six pages, but what a cool thing.
-
And it reminded me of the Ezekiel 37 story of dry bones.
-
Can these bones live?
-
There's a dry bones from a battle a long time ago and there's no life left in them.
-
Now at least the church has some life.
-
Amen, we're here.
-
We're here.
-
But they rise up at the end of days and they become a great army.
-
And God has an army and we're it, amen.
-
And so I got to thinking about it.
-
I've been meditating, anyway, on the creation story, and y'all heard me say this.
-
But when God created the world, he just needed two things to create everything we're sitting in right now.
-
They're the same two things that we have the spirit of God hovering over the waters.
-
There was chaos, it was ugly, this, the earth became without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep.
-
But the spirit of God hovered over the waters, hover over the spirit of God hovering.
-
So you got one thing you got the spirit of God.
-
And then what's the other thing that happened in creation?
-
God said so we need the spirit and the word, we need the spirit of God, we need his word for that moment.
-
And when we have that, the electricity comes, the life force comes and ignites and creates something new out of something dark, out of something bad, out of something awful.
-
But the spirit of God comes and ignites and it brings new life.
-
And we need some new life.
-
We need to take that creative force of God, when his spirit is hovering and when we speak his word.
-
He is ready to create new life in our lives, in all the people that are stuck in the valley of decision.
-
He is here to create new life.
-
All right, and so that was when God created the whole world.
-
When did God create the church?
-
In Acts, in the book of Acts, we can read about when God breathed on the early church.
-
There were some disciples.
-
They were in chaos.
-
Jesus had just died and been taken away from them.
-
They were bewildered, they were demoralized, they did not know what to think.
-
But what did God say?
-
Jesus appeared to them.
-
Thank God, jesus appeared to them.
-
We don't need Jesus to appear to us because he appeared to them and he would say the same thing to us today.
-
Terry, in Jerusalem, until you be in doubt, power from on high.
-
Stay and get some.
-
Stay and get my plans, stay and just be with me during this time, because I'm about to create.
-
I wanna hover over your water so I can create something new.
-
I wanna hover, just hover with me.
-
And they stayed and we call it Pentecost.
-
But it was 40 days and 40 nights and here they were and they just hovered.
-
They let God hover over them and when he did, we know what happened.
-
It was a move of God, it was poured out.
-
So let's go to.
-
We were in Joel, where we might put your finger in Joel, because we might have to go back there in a minute.
-
But unless Peter just quotes the whole thing, maybe he'll quote everything we need.
-
Let's just see Is this a happy little cloud?
-
It's your little tree?
-
We'll just y'all.
-
I'm quoting Bob Roth okay, acts two, turn with me to acts two.
-
And it says okay, so Peter.
-
Okay, so Peter.
-
Well, we'll just read.
-
Y'all know the Pentecost story, but I'm going to read it.
-
When the day of, so Holy Ghost is hovering, he's been hovering.
-
When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all in one accord, in one place.
-
We know that's a miracle.
-
Amen, 120 apostles.
-
And they had.
-
They had were in agreement in one place.
-
Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the whole house where they were sitting and they and there appeared to be to them divided tongues as a fire, and one sat on each of them and they were all everybody say all all filled.
-
Who was in that room when they were all filled.
-
Well, mother Mary was in that room and Peter, james and John, all the apostles were there, mary, abeth and he was there.
-
All of the I mean well, not all of the disciples, all of the Jesus appeared to 500 and invited 500 to come, but only 120, about 25%, showed up to that day of Pentecost and really obeyed God.
-
And that's pretty much what we.
-
That's pretty much holds true today.
-
About a quarter of everybody really obeys God to the very end.
-
I did just really holds true, right?
-
You got the four kinds of dirt in the parable of the sower, where the sower sows the word and it falls on these four kinds of people's hearts and only about 24%, 25% yield, right?
-
So, anyway, they're here and they're in their peers cloven tongues.
-
They all are filled the Holy Spirit and they began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
-
And so they began to speak.
-
And then there was something that happened.
-
There were, they were dwelling in Jerusalem.
-
So this was at a feast day.
-
This was at a time when there would be lots of people in Jerusalem.
-
They were there to have a holiday called Pentecost.
-
It was really just a dead holiday.
-
It didn't mean anything to the people who came.
-
They were just there to fulfill a tradition, just there to fulfill a tradition.
-
While they were there, there's something weird happened.
-
These 120 people now they're speaking in gibberish and they're stumbling down the stairs and they're acting in a weird manner, such that everybody that was traveling around thought that these people were drunk.
-
And it's right here.
-
It's happening in the middle of the day, and so people were confused.
-
And because everyone heard them speak in his own language, how can I speak a different language than these other people?
-
People have come from all over different regions.
-
They're here for this holiday, but now everybody's.
-
I can understand it, but you can understand them and you can, we can all understand them.
-
How is that possible?
-
It's a supernatural language.
-
Y'all remember the Tower of Babel, right, the Tower of Babel, god confused everybody's language.
-
Why did he confuse back in Genesis?
-
Why did he have to confuse the language of man?
-
Because man had exalted himself to be like God.
-
They didn't want any part, any relationship with God.
-
Instead, they just wanted to shut God out but have all the benefits, and so God had to confuse their languages.
-
So what is he doing today?
-
Like in Pentecost.
-
Now he's bringing that he's reversing that.
-
He's saying now you can all speak different languages and yet the Spirit of God will unite it and you're speaking mysteries in the Spirit and you're going to be able to pray the same thing together, even though you're saying different words, but you're praying the perfect will of God.
-
You're praying something together I'm going to unite.
-
All right, but it's a spiritual thing, it's not.
-
We're not talking to our brains, we're speaking in the Spirit.
-
Amen, all right.
-
So they have, they begin to speak.
-
It's very confusing, but it's drawing a lot of attention.
-
And Peter had to say you know, these are not drunk, as you suppose.
-
Let me tell you what this is.
-
And so when I got to looking at Peter's Peter is not known for his eloquence.
-
He is a fisherman, I married a sailor, I know a little bit about people who would hang around boats James did not feel that he was very eloquent ever.
-
I think he's very eloquent now.
-
God has helped him.
-
But I tell you, peter, he was very bold, he was very brash, and you can read his.
-
You know, in the Gospels you can tell that Peter kind of spoke before, he thought and so.
-
But God used him, god had a hold of his tongue.
-
And he took his tongue because it was Pentecost, right.
-
He had just yielded his tongue to speak in other tongues and now he can use that same gift of language to.
-
I'm telling you, if you have trouble with your tongue, the Holy Ghost will help you.
-
I'm living proof.
-
The Holy Ghost will help you.
-
All right.
-
So he yielded his tongue and then he preaches a sermon and 3,000 people, jewish people, the same people who had just been screaming in the street 40 days prior crucify him, crucify him, crucify him.
-
They are the very first people to get saved.
-
Wow, peter must have been very persuasive.
-
No, it was the word and the spirit.
-
It was the spirit hovering over the waters gave this sign from heaven.
-
It's a wonder.
-
It made people wonder what have you ever had?
-
People ask questions, man.
-
They come to church, they have questions.
-
What just happened?
-
Why did somebody?
-
Why are they lifting their hands like that?
-
What are they saying?
-
I see that person we're singing all the words of the Psalms that that person's lips are moving and they're saying something else.
-
What are they saying?
-
Why did that person fall down when we prayed for them?
-
There are a lot of questions, but the Holy Ghost has a certain way.
-
I mean, he just we got to be ready to answer people's questions.
-
They're real, anyway, and Peter answered some questions in his sermon.
-
He got up, the spirit was hovering and we've got to be ready because the spirit is pouring out like liquid light.
-
He's anointing each and every one of us.
-
We will have opportunity to answer questions and we got to be ready.
-
We got to be ready.
-
What are we going to say?
-
Well, we're going to read his sermon in just a minute because it was really.
-
It was really awesome.
-
We can use it kind of like a pattern.
-
We can use this whole example as a pattern.
-
First of all, the number one thing Peter did, where he got so many, so much result from what he did.
-
The number one thing is he did not miss his appointment in prayer.
-
He had just been, he had just been in the upper room, he had just spent time with God and you know, the Holy Spirit wouldn't pour out till 40 days later.
-
He was stuck in a room.
-
I have no idea how big that room was, but 120 people in one room for 40 days, that's discipline.
-
Some of us can't focus for 40 minutes.
-
I feel like that person, sometimes 40 seconds because our phone went off or our kids said Mom, or something happened and we got distracted.
-
But 40 days and he was focused.
-
So I don't want to be religious about it, because we got to live in the real world and we women, we still got to wash dishes and cook.
-
We still got to work, most of us, we still got to do all kinds of stuff.
-
And so God will speak to us while we're doing dishes, while we're working, while we're driving, while we're picking up the kids.
-
He'll speak to us.
-
But let's not neglect our time.
-
All of us we got to put in, we got to just spend that time and let the Holy Ghost hover.
-
Let Him hover Because we got chaos and people try to bring chaos to us and we got to have some hovering so that when so, then the word of God will be in us.
-
And so it was in him.
-
So he knew, he knew exactly what was happening, he knew what God was doing, and so that's number two.
-
And so he was able to out of his hovering, out of his.
-
He did not miss his appointment and prayer, he was able to speak.
-
What exactly was going on here?
-
People had a question what is happening?
-
And in Jewish culture that, hey, these are people who were celebrating a holiday.
-
They knew something about the word of God, they knew something about the Old Testament, so he was able to direct them right immediately to tap into what they already knew about God.
-
Right there he said oh, let's just read it out of Acts Peter, standing up with the 11 raises that he had backups.
-
Everybody say I can be the backup.
-
Sometimes you're the preacher and sometimes you're the backup.
-
You got to be willing to do both.
-
Amen.
-
Men of Judea said this is what Peter said.
-
Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and heed my words, for these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day, so it was nine o'clock in the morning.
-
They can't possibly be drunk yet.
-
They didn't even have an event at Everclear yet.
-
I don't know it was.
-
They were not drunk, as you suppose, but this is that spoken by the prophet Joel.
-
What did Joel say?
-
We could turn there to Joel, chapter two, and read it, but I'll just read it.
-
What Peter said, it shall come to pass in the last day, says God I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, everybody say that's me, your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.
-
I love this because it's not just the parents who can who can prophesy, it's not just the parents who can have the spirit of God moving, it is also the kids.
-
Is the children Hallelujah?
-
Children?
-
You know, jewish thought said well, you have to be old and wise to carry the things of God.
-
And God said I'm equalizing, I'll know.
-
You can be young, do not despise your youth.
-
He told him.
-
Don't let people despise your youth.
-
Paul told Timothy there is a spirit of God being poured out on old people and young people alike.
-
Young men shall see visions, old men shall dream dreams.
-
But it did say sons and daughters.
-
Women in the Old Testament were not allowed to carry the things of God.
-
They did not have an anointing.
-
Women did not have an anointing in the Old Testament.
-
And now he's saying your sons and your daughters and in Joel prophesied that it would happen.
-
And here are men and women filled with the Holy Spirit, amen.
-
And then it goes on that there are many women, prophets and even pastors in the New Testament that are mentioned.
-
And so now he's saying I'm pouring out my spirit.
-
You can be a man and a woman, you can be an old or young.
-
Then on my men's servants, on my maid servants.
-
You can be important or you can be poor, you can be nothing.
-
You can be from River Oaks or you can be from the Fifth Ward, it does not matter.
-
I will pour out my spirit on everybody.
-
And listen to what the Matthew Heminary commentary said about that.
-
The Jewish doctors say this is what the Jewish thought of the day was Prophecy does not reside on any but such as are wise, valiant and rich, not upon the soul of a poor man or a man in sorrow.
-
So, but in Christ Jesus there was neither bond nor free.
-
Galatians 3 28 says there's not Jew or Greek, there's not bond or free.
-
I have broken all of the walls of separation between that with my spirit, and my spirit is to everyone.
-
Everyone can have my spirit.
-
And so so it says, on my men's service, on men's servants, and I will show that they shall prophesy.
-
I will show wonders in heaven above it, signs on the earth beneath.
-
Everybody say wonders.
-
This was a wonder.
-
Just this weird behavior, this experience that people obviously had.
-
They had some kind of encounter with the Lord and this was not normally in their character that they would act like this.
-
And yet here they were.
-
And and the blood and fire and vapor of smoke, and the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon and the blood before that coming, great and awesome.
-
The old, the King James, says awesome.
-
It says terrible day of the Lord, and it shall come to pass.
-
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
-
There is a time of judgment on evil and and that has spoken of many times the wheat and the chaff.
-
Jesus talks about the parable of the drag net, where he drags the net down and at the end you got some good fish and you got some bad fish and you got it.
-
Sort them out, sort them out later.
-
And there is that time of separation, of sorting, and, and we're all going to have to go through.
-
There is a time of judgment coming on the earth.
-
It's an awesome time, but we have a promise, as the people of God, that he'll protect us, that he'll, that he'll gather us to himself, that he'll, he'll bless us.
-
Even the midst of that, noah was in the Ark.
-
He didn't have the rain coming on him.
-
He, he was safe from in the Ark.
-
That's a type in shadow Elijah had to have.
-
There was a famine in the land, but there was a, there was a rave in the bottom food through the judgment.
-
So our nation, we see, it isn't judgment, there has been the right.
-
Remember the writing on the wall in the book of Daniel what are the hands that, it said, mean?
-
A mean a take will you farsome?
-
Which means I.
-
You've been way.
-
It's up to the leader.
-
You've been weighed in the scales and found wanting.
-
I feel the there's the God's weighing our leaders, and even some church leaders and even some political leaders and even some business leaders and their weight in the scales and they're found wanting For the Lord to say that over someone.
-
There's judgment in the land and yet there's the people of God.
-
It can be the most glorious moment for the church to rise up and shine and bring the power of God and us sure is the people put in the sickle for the harvest.
-
The mighty harvest has come.
-
We're bringing souls and when they came into the kingdom of God, into the mighty harvest time, we're putting in the sickle in the Valley of Decision in the day of the Lord.
-
The Valley of Decision.
-
This is where we are right now.
-
Peter knew where he was in history.
-
Oh, this is that spoken by the Prophet Joel.
-
That was the early rain.
-
Now we're in the latter rain.
-
So when there was a harvest, you had to have to, you had to have two range you had to have and their, their harvest, was flipped around.
-
Our harvest is in the fall and we plant in the spring.
-
Right, so they are in a different hemisphere.
-
Whatever, I don't know.
-
They planted, they plant in the fall and they harvest in the spring.
-
It's confusing, but there were two kinds of.
-
There needs to be a big batch of rain in that when they're planting and there needs to be another really, really big batch of rain in the harvest time to just water that right before the harvest so you can finish growing and then you can just reap the harvest.
-
There needs to be rain.
-
In the book of Acts that's the first rain, that's the former rain.
-
Rain always looks like rain.
-
It always is wet, right, it always falls down.
-
It has the same pattern and rain and if they're looking in the in the early church, rain look like signs, wonders, miracles.
-
We can read about it in everything we've read in the book of Acts.
-
That's what rain looks like and that was the former rain.
-
And then there was no rain for a long time in the church.
-
If you look at church history, there weren't.
-
There was a lot the dark.
-
Have you heard of the dark ages?
-
Ain't no rain.
-
In the dark ages People couldn't even read the Word of God.
-
It was shut up and cloistered into little.
-
The monks could have it and they could read it.
-
They could write it, but you couldn't.
-
The common people could read, even read.
-
The Bible didn't have the word.
-
It depended on the important people to tell them what it said and the important people didn't want them to know what it said.
-
And so there was dark ages and there was, and then, and the gifts of the Spirit were locked up and not flowing.
-
People didn't know the Word, they couldn't work it, they couldn't know what, what it said, they couldn't do it.
-
And now the God is releasing it, and this is the last day.
-
Now we got rain again, and the latter rains are going to be stronger than the former rain and greater works than these shall you do, jesus said, because I go to my father, so anyway, so God spoke of the promise of the Holy Spirit, and so that's what Peter.
-
He just says.
-
This is that I know where I am in history.
-
This is that.
-
So he's.
-
Peter didn't miss his appointment in prayer and then he was not afraid to talk about the Holy Spirit.
-
Do not be afraid to talk about the Holy Spirit.
-
This is what he did for me.
-
Yes, it's confusing to your brain.
-
Just go with it.
-
Just go with it, it works, it works.
-
And then, and then, number three, peter.
-
So you keep reading Peter's sermon.
-
He didn't stop, he kept.
-
Just he had, like the scripture gun at him Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, because they were still hungry.
-
Now, if they're not hungry, we don't cast our pearls before swine.
-
That's it.
-
That's it.
-
You don't get to hear anymore and you're not listening.
-
Bye, bye, close your Bibles, we're going home.
-
But they're listening.
-
Y'all are good listeners.
-
They're listening and you can give them the next thing.
-
And they were listening.
-
They were listening.
-
What in the world is going on?
-
What made them listen?
-
The Holy Spirit is still hovering.
-
He's still hovering, he's still moving.
-
Holy Spirit, all right.
-
So they're listening and he goes.
-
He said so many of Israel hear these words Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested by God to you, by miracles, wonders and signs which God did through him in your midst, as you yourself also know, him being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God and taken, and basically you know he died.
-
But here's where Peter.
-
Now he talks about the resurrection.
-
And if we talk about Jesus, our resurrected Lord, he did die but he rose again.
-
When you really boil that on down, you can always talk about Jesus.
-
You can bring resurrection life into any conversation.
-
People want to talk about death.
-
They want to talk about sadness.
-
They want to talk about their problem, their ailment, their sickness.
-
That's human nature.
-
They want to magnify that thing and it's their reason why they can't do this, they can't do that.
-
They can't, they can't, they can't.
-
And they're sad and they want to tell you, and we ought to listen.
-
We have compassion because we've all been there.
-
But if Jesus rose from the dead, anything is possible Anything, anything.
-
And so I'm always looking for that.
-
Where is the resurrection in this?
-
Where is the redemption of this?
-
Well, yes, this is awful, but what is good, what good can possibly come out of that?
-
And I'm focused on that because I can't wallow there.
-
It's heavy, it's ugly down there, but we can.
-
We don't have to wallow.
-
Praise God, he gave us resurrection, life.
-
Where is the resurrection?
-
Let's find it.
-
And so, oh, my Lord here.
-
So then he opens another can on it.
-
He already opened up a can of Joel.
-
Now he's going to open up a can of Psalm of David on them, and he's reading out of Psalm 16.
-
I first saw the Lord always before my face.
-
He is at my right hand and I shall not be shaken.
-
Therefore, my heart rejoiced and my tongue was In other words you killed Jesus, but he's still happy, and my flesh will rest in hope, for you will not leave my soul in hate ease, or you will not allow your Holy One to see corruption.
-
You have made known to me the ways of life and you will make so.
-
In other words, jesus did not rot in the grave.
-
He is a little.
-
He never had to tell him.
-
Jesus, you killed him, but he's not dead, he's not rotten in the grave.
-
He told David that he wouldn't, and it's true, and he's not in the grave.
-
And so, and you will make me full of joy, in your presence, or in your presence, is fullness of joy.
-
We sing that song.
-
In your presence is fullness of joy, jesus is full of joy.
-
You try to kill him, but he's still rejoicing, hallelujah, all right.
-
So he brought resurrection life into it.
-
And then, as he, and so, and then the next thing he did, oh Lord, and I'm going to close this, I'm going to say but he, the Jews, you know, they had a certain idea of what their Messiah was supposed to look like.
-
They are 6,000 years they have been praying, or was it 4,000, karen knows.
-
I need a timeline.
-
I need a biblical timeline.
-
Thousands of years they have been praying for Messiah to come.
-
They have been and they have.
-
They have an idea about him, and their idea is this is Psalm 110.
-
And it's the next thing that Peter quotes to them.
-
And I'm going to go ahead and read the entirety of Psalm 10, because it is.
-
It's what they thought Messiah was supposed to be and it's everything they thought Jesus was not.
-
And Peter had to tell them you're looking at it wrong.
-
You're looking at it wrong.
-
This Lord said to my Lord sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your footstool.
-
Our Messiah is going to be a dread champion.
-
He's going to be the king of everybody.
-
He's going to make our enemies, but wait, but wait, peter.
-
We're still subjugated by Romans.
-
Our land is still taken with Jesus, didn't?
-
He didn't make a difference.
-
We're still.
-
We got Roman soldiers marching through our streets.
-
Sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your footstool.
-
The Lord shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion rule in the midst of your enemies.
-
Your people shall be volunteers in the day of your power.
-
Say that's me.
-
I'm a volunteer, I'm in the army of God, in this in the beauty of holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have the do of your youth.
-
The Lord has sworn and will not relit.
-
You are a priest forever.
-
And it says oh, you know, lord will.
-
Is that your right hand?
-
He will execute kings in the day of his wrath.
-
Oh, I want the Romans to burn, burn, baby burn.
-
But the Messiah didn't do that.
-
He's still doing it through you and through me.
-
He shall execute the heads of many countries.
-
Not literally we are not executioners of the heads of many countries, just gonna put that out there, see, thanks.
-
That's why we're not on live stream on Sunday nights, so I will not get trolled on the internet.
-
All right, he shall execute the heads of many countries.
-
He shall drink about the brick of the wayside.
-
Therefore, he will lift up the head.
-
He is a warrior, he is seeking, he is gonna rule.
-
And Peter's like yeah, I'm gonna quote that that's who Jesus is, that's who your Messiah is.
-
And you just killed him Repent, therefore, that's what he.
-
So then he says you know, people have this Messiah idea in Jesus so many times.
-
He just does not fit.
-
Or God's moving in their life and they don't recognize it at all.
-
They are completely looking for something else.
-
That's us.
-
Sometimes we're looking for some other way.
-
What else is God gonna do?
-
And the devil exploits that.
-
Let God sit.
-
Let Jesus sit in your Messiah chair.
-
You know they had a chair.
-
They had literally had an empty chair and still, due to this day, as I understand, I've never been to a Jewish synagogue.
-
I would like to go, maybe someday, but I'm told that there is a chair there still empty and they're waiting.
-
Someday, when Messiah comes, he's gonna come sit down in the chair.
-
Well, jesus sat in the chair when he quoted Luke 4.18, the spirit of the Lord is upon me.
-
He sat in Messiah chair.
-
They were still waiting for somebody to come sit in that chair and Peter said Jesus needs a sit in your chair.
-
He is that Messiah.
-
You have built this thing up in your mind and he is him.
-
Let him be.
-
But people don't.
-
They don't want to right now.
-
Today is the day of salvation and they want to put it off.
-
No, that couldn't be.
-
That's not really God speaking to me.
-
It's not really the Antichrist spirit telling me to wear a mask and get vaccinated.
-
Oh, no, that's gonna be later.
-
I was gonna mean well, it must be something else, I don't know.
-
Like they're missing it.
-
There's stuff going on right in time, stuff happening right now.
-
People are like you know, I gotta work, make a living.
-
Yeah, you gotta, I mean, but let God, let's balance.
-
So, anyway, they want, they want to.
-
I'm gonna use the negative example because if you don't build your, if you don't let Jesus come and occupy that chair, the devil will make sure some idol comes and sits in that chair.
-
I was reading the book.
-
It's called Bonhoeffer, by Eric Metaxas.
-
It's an awesome book If you're a reader, if you like biographies or historical fiction, I mean it's not fiction.
-
It's not fiction, it's a biography, it's awesome.
-
And it's of a pastor named Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who he was one of the only, he was the very first pastor to stand against Hitler and he was a Lutheran pastor in Germany and he was the only one to go.
-
You know what?
-
Maybe we shouldn't be persecuting Jews, you know, because Jesus said there's near June, or Greek, and they're one of us.
-
We're really in the same boat here.
-
We shouldn't be making them wear gold stars.
-
We shouldn't be.
-
You know, maybe this is bad, and he was the only one to speak out again and then, and so, with growing persecution, he had to move his church around.
-
He was chased by the Nazis and eventually this pastor ended up participating.
-
He was solid on all his theology I mean it was from what I can tell most of it.
-
I don't agree with everything he said.
-
But, man, this guy loved Jesus.
-
He loved the word.
-
I could tell he was dwelling in the things of God and eventually God led him this is gonna blow your theology to participate in a plot to kill Adolf Hitler.
-
Because he said it's not enough for Christians to be so nice and good all the time where we want.
-
If there's somebody driving the bus off the cliff, you gotta go grab the wheel, you've gotta divert the bus before it goes off the cliff.
-
And so he did that.
-
I'll mess with your theology all day, but he did it.
-
I believe it was the Lord, it was right, it didn't work and he was executed.
-
He died about three months before the war ended, or was it three weeks?
-
But it was really an amazing story.
-
But in that book it chronicled the idea of the Führer.
-
The Führer I'm not German, but you know that word that people called Adolf Hitler when they did the ugly salute to him and they called him the Führer it just is a German word for the word leader and Adolf Hitler did not.
-
They didn't make that word for him.
-
That word was part of German culture for a long time.
-
It was like the desire of every German wanted this strong leader who would unite Germany and let it shine like a city on the hill Do I sound like a politician now?
-
Like a shining city on a hill and Germany would have all of her cultural music musicians and her classical music and her arts and she would shine and every.
-
And we just need this one leader.
-
Because they were so demoralized after World War I, so many unfair, truly unfair things really did happen in Germany and they had crazy inflation.
-
Hello, history repeating itself.
-
I wanna beat my head against a wall sometimes.
-
It is so similar to what is happening now.
-
Germans had runaway crazy inflation.
-
There was one story where a very wealthy man had saved his entire life.
-
He had paid into his life insurance plan all of his life and it finally came due and his life insurance plan matured and he was gonna collect this big amount of money.
-
He had paid every month for his entire adult life and when he got his check because of inflation.
-
It was about enough to buy a bottle of wine, nothing Like you work and you save and you put it in a bag with holes in it.
-
And that is what the people of this world are experiencing right now.
-
I don't think that's getting any better.
-
I wish I had better news on that front.
-
I just know God has a supply for us.
-
I know every believer.
-
We've gotta tap into it.
-
That's why my dad's preaching on that.
-
It's so important.
-
But anyway, massive inflation, crazy.
-
And so people in Germany.
-
They had been told they had to have a democracy now.
-
They weren't used to democracy.
-
What they had before was this Prince Wilhelm or whatever, and he was really a good leader and everybody liked him and they just wanted him.
-
They wanted something like that Back again where they could have one strong leader.
-
And so Hitler was like oh, I'll be that guy.
-
I was like hi, just call me Sturder and I'm gonna use this German greeting.
-
It was just a greeting that everyone did.
-
I mean like it wasn't a Heil Hitler thing, it was just this was the German greeting.
-
Don't take a picture of me doing that.
-
It was a German greeting.
-
And he just stepped into that, twisted and perverted it.
-
And just, we saw what he did to kill six million Jews with that mentality.
-
And the Germans didn't know they were killing Jews.
-
They didn't know that at first.
-
No, they just thought Hitler was uniting Germany.
-
Look, this is the Fuhrer we've all been looking for.
-
And you know Jews well.
-
They didn't know they were dying until late.
-
I was revealed after the war was over.
-
They were just deceived.
-
They were just as deceived and people today said, oh, I would never.
-
I can't believe those Germans.
-
I can believe they didn't stand up.
-
Why didn't they stand up to Hitler?
-
How come they didn't know?
-
Why didn't we stand up to COVID fascism?
-
Why didn't we stand up to all of their freedoms being taken away?
-
Where people are not waking up, this is history all over again.
-
If you didn't stand up, if churches say, oh well, we'll just close.
-
Well, you know, I mean, there is a spirit of darkness of this age and we've got to battle against it, multitudes in the valley of decision.
-
But God is giving us light.
-
He's given us the Holy Spirit.
-
There is a spirit of creation, new life on the church right now.
-
We're rising up.
-
We're maybe a sleeping giant, but we're rising up.
-
This is the time in history for us to do it.
-
And I'm just, I'm excited.
-
Peter had some secrets and we're gonna follow that pattern and I'm telling you, god's gonna make us you bear much fruit.
-
We're gonna bear much fruit.
-
This is our finest hour, as Journal Pattinson speaking of World War II references, but it's gotta be our finest hour.
-
We've got to trust God in this hour like never before.
-
Amen, and it is ooh, it's right at eight o'clock and so if we get out now, hallelujah, amen, I am gonna say just, it does not have to take a long time, but the Holy Spirit, we have the word of God.
-
We can read the word of God.
-
It's not like a history book, it's living and powerful.
-
It will change our lives.
-
It has the answers for us every single day.
-
God will talk to us out of His word.
-
It will be real.
-
It will not just be like reading the Encyclopedia Britannica, but it can feel like that if we do not have the Holy Spirit fully engaged in our life and if we're not completely filled and totally crazy in love with the Holy Spirit, letting Him completely surround us every minute, we've gotta have that same passion that Peter had and we've gotta let Him hover.
-
And if you are, maybe you've prayed to receive the batches in the Holy Spirit but you've never spoken in tongues.
-
But that's a desire that you have.
-
Or maybe you just heard that tonight you thought, man, I want that or I wanna know more about that.
-
Let's just get that done right.
-
Let's do feel an anointing right now.
-
Can y'all just tarry with me a minute, just because I know that there are people here who've prayed and they want a breakthrough on that and let's get it done for them.
-
Let's get it done.
-
If you want the batches in the Holy Spirit, come up right now.
-
There's an anointing here to get that done.
-
We can absolutely break you through.
-
There is no reason why you have to go another minute without your full armor, your whole, all of the tools and equipment of the Holy Spirit.
-
He wants to give you that language.
-
You need it All, right.
-
Well, I'm gonna play some soft music now, just playing my soft music.
-
But there is an urgency because we are really in a battle and if we're not having our full equipment, if we're not having our full firepower of the things, we just have to have all of God's equipment.
-
So, hallelujah, last call.
-
Carol, you're so sweet to jump up here and play.
-
I was just joking on the soft music, but here she goes.
-
She can play soft music, just as she proves she can.
-
Hallelujah.
-
If you already pray in times, let's just hover for a minute.
-
Let's just hover.
-
We won't hover long, I'm not keeping y'all.
-
Let's just hover.
-
I'm not keeping y'all, I'm not keeping y'all, I'm not keeping y'all.
-
Ha ha, ha ha, lordy.
-
Oh, there's a refreshing.
-
There's a refreshing of the Holy Spirit when he comes in the room, when we just open our hearts to pray.
-
Serra rama tala rambetika se nambirinda seti keshe prata pa se telininda.
-
Serra prata pokozota.
-
We are not made to carry the struggles of this world and the judgment that's going on around us.
-
We are not made to carry that.
-
Serra depi keshe nambirinda, not by ourselves.
-
Serra rapa se telininda nambirinda.
-
You know, jesus was anointed with the oil of joy above his fellows.
-
He was not serra na paseninda, though he suffered on the cross.
-
In that way he was a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief, but his daily life was one of rejoicing, was one of joy, was one where he attracted people to him with the spirit of God that was so different and special on his life.
-
We want that.
-
We want that joy.
-
We are not sour, we are not doom and gloom.
-
We have the answer, we have the light of life, we have resurrection power.
-
Hallelujah, serra depi koshe, serra tapas telininda kosana telininda kosana, miss Karen, do you have something?
-
Miss Karen?
-
Yeah, maganda, grab your casket.
-
We've got got stuff on the back.
-
Are we get taxi or Coron yet?
-
Hey, you can Just grab and allow your loved one Now, or you want to leave forever.
-
Here is yourニest.
-
This is what you can do for our pleasure ing Copyrightoman, Acts 2.39 says the promises for you and your children and to those afar off, to anyone who calls, anyone who calls Lord.
-
We call on you, we thank you, Holy Spirit.
-
We receive your promise.
-
Everybody say this Lord, I receive the promise of the Holy Spirit.
-
You won't give me a stone.
-
You're a good father.
-
I'm asking for bread.
-
You're giving me bread.
-
I'm asking for the Holy Spirit.
-
You'll give me the Holy Spirit, Lord.
-
You give me the real thing, not a counterfeit.
-
So I am fully equipped for the day of battle.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Thank you, Miss Karen.
-
Hallelujah.
