This way of those Bibles around.
-
Make Jesus glad, the devil mad.
-
Let's say this together say Heavenly Father, glory is here.
-
I reach out my hand of faith and I pull into my very being that which you have already paid for.
-
I exalt you and magnify you by actually possessing those things that are mine.
-
In Jesus' name, amen, you can be seated.
-
Let's turn in our Bibles, in Hebrews, chapter five, please, and we'll read a couple of verses here Verse 12.
-
Hebrews 5, 12.
-
And let's say this just look at this verse here.
-
It says Before when the time you ought to be teacher.
-
So here's a corrective word by Paul.
-
I believe Paul wrote the book of Hebrews.
-
He's writing to the church of Hebrews.
-
They all have a Jewish background and when you've lived your life in religion instead of relationship, it's hard to you know.
-
Number one, it's hard to ever be satisfied.
-
And number two, you know it's hard to let go of certain traditions that are not useful anymore.
-
I mean, jesus is the end of the law for righteousness and so, anyway, he says you know when the time you ought to be teachers you have need that won't teach you again which be the first principles.
-
Everybody said the first principles Of the oracles of God and are become such as have need of milk and not strong meat.
-
Skip down to chapter six, verse one, therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ.
-
So there's that phrase oracles of God, the first principles of the doctrines of Christ.
-
Leaving that, let us go on under maturity.
-
Let's not have to build that foundation.
-
This is a foundational truth.
-
These truths are foundational.
-
You should have already learned them, but now you've messed around and he didn't say this, but he means this You're messing around with dead religion and you've forgotten the first foundational principles that you're built on.
-
You know you dig up a foundation.
-
You can't ever build on top of it.
-
I mean, you build a foundation, that's it.
-
You don't keep messing with it, you don't break it out and chip it out and start over.
-
You never get anywhere.
-
No, you got to build on the foundation.
-
That's what he's saying.
-
You have need to be taught these things again.
-
You ought to be teaching others.
-
I'm thinking about the church now, the church of Jesus Christ, especially in America.
-
There are things that we used to do, that you used to have, and we've let them slip, not this church, all right, and so that's not laying, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works.
-
That's one.
-
Repentance is for the sinner, it's not for church, it's not for you.
-
Repentance means turn around, you're going in the wrong direction.
-
No, all you need to do is, if you've missed the mark, you confess your sin.
-
But I hear people all the time I repent, I repent, no, you don't repent.
-
That's for the backslider or for the sinner.
-
Repentance is too strong a word.
-
All we've got to do is, children of God, when we miss the mark is confess our sin and he's faithful and just to forgive us.
-
I don't need to repent.
-
If I say I need to repent, then that means my life is really, really fouled up.
-
Did I go back to the world?
-
Most of the time it's just a matter of us for confessing our sin to God and him cleansing us and us forgiving ourselves and going down the road.
-
See, he's reminding them.
-
These are basic.
-
You're going to get these in faith foundations in the fall.
-
We teach these classes so that new people get on the same page with what we believe.
-
Everybody say foundations of faith.
-
See, we're not going to lay again these foundations of faith, of repentance from dead works, faith toward God.
-
I mean, that's just kind of basic, isn't it?
-
Trust God, of the doctrine of baptism's plural.
-
There's baptism in water.
-
There's a baptism into the body of Christ.
-
The Holy Ghost takes you when you're first saved and puts you into the body.
-
You become a member, in particular, of the body of Christ.
-
And then there's a baptism of the Holy Ghost where the evidence is speaking in other tongues, not the evidence of gifts.
-
I saw one church big church says they believe in the baptism accompanied by gifts.
-
Well, that's not good enough, because if you don't speak in tongues, you hadn't received the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
-
You might have gotten close to it, but you didn't get it.
-
So we're not ashamed of speaking in tongues in this church.
-
These are the doctrines of baptisms and of laying on of hands and of resurrection of the dead and of eternal judgment.
-
This will we do if God permits.
-
So really laying on of hands is something that I want to talk about this morning.
-
I'm not going to teach extensively.
-
You know Brother Hagin talks about teaching by precept and by example.
-
I could do a whole message and we could have three or four bullet points, but today I want to just teach by example, because God put in my heart some things about the laying on of hands.
-
Why is laying on of hands just absolutely foundational?
-
Because it is the way that the anointing is transferred.
-
The anointing is God's glory.
-
The anointing is God's Holy Spirit, gifting like the gifts of healings.
-
The very life of God is transferred by the laws of contact and transmission.
-
You lay your hands on another person in Jesus name Mark chapter 16 and they recover.
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
The laying on of hands is in the Old Testament.
-
It's in the New Testament.
-
Moses laid hands on Joshua and gave him part of his honor, gave him part of his wisdom and he was anointed to lead.
-
You know Israel, after Moses died, you see, the priests laid their hands on the scapegoat.
-
They took a goat once a year and the high priest would lay his hands on the head of the goat and transfer, by the laws of contact and transmission, the sin of Israel.
-
And they would take the goat and release him in a wilderness area.
-
Jesus was our scapegoat.
-
The sin of the whole world was laid on him and he took it away.
-
Hallelujah, the laying on of hands Jesus practiced in Luke 440.
-
It says when the son was setting, there was a crowd of people that had been with him all day, watching him and listening to him and they brought unto him people that were sick and he laid his hands on every one of them and they all were healed.
-
I don't know how many there were, but he laid hands on all of them and demon powers which were in some of them came out screaming Now, christ, the son of the living God.
-
He said hold your peace, come out.
-
By what?
-
By the laying on of hands.
-
Everybody say laying on of hands.
-
Oh, thank God for the foundational principles that God has given to the church and the church in America.
-
I dare say that many of you have come out of churches that you went to for years and you never one time had hands laid on you for any reason.
-
No wonder the church is so sick, no wonder the church is under bondage to demon powers, because a lot of the churches aren't practicing the fundamental principles.
-
Well, we're going to practice it this morning, right on Sunday morning, right in front of everybody, which we do all the time we have.
-
We have life team members, all your life teamers.
-
Lift your hand and wave.
-
We got people that have proven themselves around here, so we asked them to.
-
So I don't have to do it every Sunday and get down here and just do everything myself.
-
They, they, they.
-
They operate on that and we have miracles down here all the time.
-
But I have something special here this morning that God put in my heart when I was preparing for this message In Luke 13, jesus came across a woman who was bowed over at the waist and he called her to him and said, on her way over, woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmities.
-
Now get a picture of this.
-
She's walking like this.
-
She can't even see Jesus.
-
She hears him.
-
So she follows the voice like this.
-
She gets over to him.
-
He lays his hands on her and immediately she straightened up and glorified God and he spoke it.
-
But she didn't get straightened up until when the laws of contact and transmission caused the anointing in Jesus to go into her and straighten her up and come to find out.
-
You know they started criticizing the Pharisees.
-
Ah, you know there's six days a week.
-
Anybody can get healed.
-
You come here on the seventh day, on the seventh.
-
What are you doing here?
-
Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba ba.
-
Well, you hypocrites.
-
Jesus said.
-
I think if he'd still had that whip on his side, I wish he'd have been like Lash LaRue.
-
I grew up watching Lash LaRue.
-
He had a bull whip on his heel.
-
He had a gun on one side, a bull whip on the other.
-
So if he didn't like how you talk, he'd phew.
-
I just I just pictured Jesus going.
-
Phew, he did that to the money changers in the temple.
-
You know he said, you hypocrites, if you had a donkey or a ox in the stall, you'd lead him out to watering on the Sabbath.
-
And how much more should this daughter of Abraham, whom Loh Satan hath bound these 18 years?
-
Now he's following in the Holy Ghost.
-
Now he's got a word of knowledge about how long she's been ill 18 years.
-
Who bound her?
-
Satan?
-
Who should be loosed on the Sabbath day?
-
Why should she be loosed?
-
Because she's a daughter of Abraham, she's a covenant woman.
-
But I found that you know, god wants to heal everybody, whether they're saved or not.
-
He wants to deliver everybody.
-
But it doesn't do much good to deliver people if they're not really saved, because then the devil just comes right back.
-
They need to change ownership at some point.
-
So I I would be meditating on the laying on of hands, giving God praise for all the years that I've been schooled and all the hands that have been laid on me by men and women of God that are generals of the faith, how God was allowed me to be in their meetings and sometimes personally in their homes.
-
I mean, you go to Oral Roberts' home and he lays hands on you.
-
How can that ever happen?
-
You go to TL Osborne's home and he lays hands on you.
-
How can that ever happen?
-
And I believe I received from every one of those hands laid on me and I'm gonna lay my hands on some of you this morning because I have a specific thing that, as I was meditating on the laying on of hands and how important it is, there are folks here that are struggling with depression.
-
Now, I know about one case already, but my experience as pastor is it usually when somebody's suffering, there's more than one.
-
There's usually a number of people that are suffering from the same time.
-
I've read where our young people in this country have an epidemic of depression.
-
They are school-aged children having to stay home with masks on and all this fear, and they didn't get to graduate.
-
In some cases they didn't get to complete their sports.
-
They were very good in sports and then the devil stole from them and stole their high school sports thing and they'll probably never be good enough to play in college or any play sales.
-
This is all you have Most of the time.
-
Most kids, that's all they ever get to do is high school sports, if that and that was stolen from them.
-
I think about all the rodeo kids that raised animals and then this goofball county judge just summarily ended the two years ago, you know just said no rodeo, so no scholarship money, no show for all the care that you.
-
I just think about these young people.
-
But whether you're young or old, I know that there is a depression and the biggest word I keep getting is regret.
-
It's like it's in red letters regret.
-
These are demon powers and there's two stages to depression.
-
There's oppression, which that's a little demon, sitting on your shoulder and accusing you, telling you it's all your fault, you shoulda, coulda, woulda.
-
Usually they get you to look back on your life.
-
You made a decision that you wish you coulda changed.
-
You can't change it.
-
Well, welcome to the club.
-
See, the devil tries to make you feel like you're the only person that's ever made a mistake.
-
He will accuse you night and day, day and night, sit on your shoulder and he throws these thoughts at you and it becomes an internal dialogue like an eight track tape, an endless loop of accusation, and the more those, of course, at first.
-
You know, if you're a Christian, you resist that, you rebuke that.
-
But that's why you need a pastor, that's why you need a church, because all of us get into situations, I don't care who you are, all of us can get into situations where we need somebody to come alongside us and release the anointing of God over us and the anointing destroys the yoke.
-
What do those words do, those words of accusation, those words?
-
And well, you know, depression means that you just get down.
-
I think about that woman.
-
She was bent over at the waist, so physically she was down.
-
But depression can make you bow like that.
-
It can cause you not to see ahead of you.
-
All you can see is the ground.
-
All you can see is you know, and also he gets you to focus on back here, your rear view mirror.
-
This morning there's an anointing going to be released to break off your rear view mirror.
-
We're going to go forward today.
-
We're going forward.
-
We're not going to dwell in the past.
-
We're not going to go what a could or should of anymore.
-
See, you know this thing, but you've been powerless up to now to get rid of it.
-
Today is a changing day for you.
-
I know it by the Spirit.
-
You had faith to come to church, despite how you feel.
-
You didn't feel like coming, but you came anyway.
-
You had no idea, probably, that anything was going to happen differently than it's been happening.
-
But you know, god has a time when he wants to get things done, and today is your day.
-
If I'm describing you, today is your day and I'm going to lay hands on you and the devil is going to be rebuked from off your shoulder.
-
He's going to have to leave.
-
Those words are going to be extracted out of your brain and then, of course, we stay, hang around here and we'll teach you how to keep that.
-
What God gives you.
-
You have to keep what God gives you, because the devil, when he comes out of somebody or off of somebody, he seeks rest, jesus said, and finds none.
-
He, he goes into dry places.
-
I don't know exactly where they are, but a dry place is a place of no fulfillment.
-
Demons get their fullest fulfillment inhabiting flesh.
-
Remember the demoniac he had a legion of demons and Jesus cast a legion of demons, and I don't know how many, but legion in Roman army is 6,000.
-
Were there 6,000 demons?
-
Well, I don't know, could be.
-
And they said, oh don't throw, just throw us out in this countryside, allow us to go into those swine over there.
-
And he allowed them to go into this wine.
-
So they, you know, second best is an animal.
-
I mean, second best to a human is an animal.
-
I've seen demon possessed dogs.
-
I've seen demon possessed cats, a lot of those, those man eating African animals.
-
They're not man eating because they want to be there filled with demons.
-
Y'all are really looking at me funny.
-
Well, just give me the benefit of the doubt.
-
My point is they look to manifest themselves in by and putting a yoke of bondage.
-
The anointing shall destroy the yoke.
-
That is a yoke.
-
It is an appliance, it's a.
-
It's a.
-
It's a wooden or a steel harness that you put over beasts of burden so they can hook a real heavy load up to an ox or a donkey or a horse and pull that heavy load.
-
The devil wants you to pull this heavy load.
-
He's put a yoke over you and the anointing is going to destroy that thing.
-
It's not going to ever.
-
He can't build it again.
-
It's going to be destroyed.
-
Now, one thing about that I've learned over demon powers is that when they're not dealt with, for whatever reason, if they're not dealt with, then it moves from oppression, which is outside of you, throwing thoughts at your mind.
-
And if you don't deal with it, then they will move into your mind and it becomes obsession.
-
Everybody say oppression and then obsession.
-
I have never seen anybody that was obsessed with something that didn't need help to get rid of it.
-
You need an anointing.
-
You need an anointing to be manifested towards you.
-
It can happen a lot of ways.
-
It can happen during preaching.
-
It can happen without anybody's laying hands on you, but I mean the most reliable is laying on of hands.
-
Because of why?
-
Because of the laws of contact and transmission that God arranged for the church to have.
-
I've got that in my hands.
-
I've seen it work countless times and God alerted me this morning.
-
It's the reason I came up here and sang that song, because many times when I'm singing I'm able to get over into the spirit realm more successfully.
-
Not that the worship team, they do a great job, but I just.
-
You know, after 25 years of leading it myself, I just sometimes I just need what I bring to the table.
-
It helps me minister this way.
-
Come on, let's lift our hands right now.
-
Oh, thank God.
-
Everybody say the anointing destroys the yellow.
-
So I want you to come up.
-
Oh, I just don't.
-
What will people think?
-
Will people think that you're wise?
-
They're gonna rejoice that you're getting delivered today?
-
Everybody say I don't look down my nose at anybody.
-
I mean, you know, look, we've all needed help, we've all needed the anointing, we've all needed a ministry to come alongside us and minister to us, and so that's all this is.
-
So don't let the devil, don't let pride, don't let embarrassment and shame See, that's part of that depression, that's part of what he's been so aware of.
-
You've taken responsibility for this thing that happened, where I don't know if it was your marriage or your kids or what it was.
-
It doesn't really matter what it was.
-
I'm not gonna ask you any questions.
-
I'm gonna lay my hands on you and that demon powers yoke is gonna be destroyed and that demon power will have to go.
-
And if it's obsession, it's gonna go out of your mind.
-
If it's oppression, it's gonna go off of your shoulder someplace else.
-
I'm not even gonna have mercy enough to let him go into a dog or a cat I love animals too much.
-
You just have to make your way in dry places.
-
From now.
-
I open the altar right now.
-
Don't let shame, don't let anything hold you back from coming up here.
-
Like I said, I know about one, I know about one, I've been informed about the situation, but I knew when I heard it that there are others that are facing the same thing.
-
Look at this altar already.
-
Look at the people that are struggling with depression, struggling with this internal dialogue.
-
I tell you, the Holy Ghost always is right.
-
I'm telling you.
-
You know the devil's trying to tell me.
-
You know there's nobody gonna come up here.
-
It's too hard for people to admit such a thing.
-
Well, look at them.
-
They are so ready to get free, oh hallelujah, and as ready as you are to be free, that's how much more ready the Holy Ghost is to make you free.
-
Hallelujah, oh, thank you Jesus.
-
Thank you, lord, wonderful Jesus.
-
Oh, jesus loves you.
-
Your days of feeling guilty, your days of having shame, of feeling like you just didn't measure up, that's what the devil says.
-
He doesn't have any new messages for you.
-
He has the same message for people.
-
You're not good enough.
-
Well, you know what Jesus was.
-
Ha ha ha.
-
He's all my righteousness.
-
I don't have any of my own.
-
I'm in him.
-
I traded all that other stuff.
-
It's gone, and whatever it is that you have been taken responsibility for, that's another thing.
-
Regret, and you've been taken responsibility.
-
The whole load has come on you for whatever this was.
-
I don't know again.
-
I don't know if it's marriage or children or what it is, but this always takes two to tango.
-
You can't take the other person's part and you've been so sorry about it.
-
It's under the blood anyhow.
-
Ha ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ha.
-
So from this moment on, you're not gonna receive any more accusations from the accuser of the brethren.
-
That's what the devil's called.
-
It's an accurate description.
-
Oh, but Jesus.
-
Ha ha, ha, ha, ha ha ha.
-
He's the justifier of the brethren.
-
Just as if I'd never sinned, just as if I'd never failed, just as if I'd never made a mistake, just as if I'd justified, just as if I'd justified, he's our justification.
-
I know, you know that You've heard it, but it's gonna become reality today, when this interference is taken off of you, in some cases out of your mind, some of you, I know you've become obsessed with this, you've become obsessed.
-
Don't worry about the fact that you left oppression to obsession.
-
Don't worry about that.
-
The point is, today is your day of freedom.
-
That's all you have to think about.
-
If we could fix ourselves, we wouldn't even need church.
-
Hallelujah, you need us today, but we need you.
-
You're gonna receive something that you can pass on to somebody else.
-
Believe you See, this is teaching by precept and by example Very valuable.
-
Is the word valuable?
-
Yeah, I showed just a few verses, but more important this morning is teaching you by example, and you're the example.
-
Oh, glory to God.
-
Thank you, lord.
-
Well, they're knowing you're just coming up your legs.
-
I'm waiting for it to get deep enough for y'all to swim in.
-
You know, when the water gets really deep, you can't stand anymore.
-
You either got to sink or swim.
-
I'm waiting for the water level to get up a little higher.
-
Let's practice smiling a moment.
-
Come on, let's practice smiling.
-
Everybody smile a little bit.
-
You hadn't felt like smiling.
-
I know that you feel like frowning, you feel like crying, you feel like you feel like, but let's just practice smiling right in the middle.
-
Practice smiling right in the middle.
-
The devil has been served his eviction notice and the constable is coming.
-
The constable is not without weapons on his hip.
-
He has a weapon.
-
If he needs to draw the weapon, he has to draw the weapon.
-
He has to draw the weapon.
-
He has to draw the weapon.
-
He needs to draw the weapon to coax that demon power to hit the road.
-
Well, that's what will happen.
-
Everybody say the doctrine of laying on of hands.
-
Hey, this is foundational.
-
This is what Jesus intended for the church to flow in.
