Prayer - Joining Forces With God 1

Let's wave our Bibles around and make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

Let's say this together this is a heavenly Father.

I'm glad to be in church.

I'm like Jesus.

It was His custom to be in the synagogue on the Sabbath.

It's my custom to be in church on Sunday and I've got my receiver on.

I believe I've received revelation of the Word of God that will build my faith, nourish my spirit and I will receive power to change things that I'm seeing.

In Jesus' name, amen, amen, amen, praise God, you can be seated.

Turning your Bibles to a couple of spots.

First of all, first John, chapter one will start there, and then also James.

Chapter five will start with first John.

We'll start with first John, first chapter one.

This is the apostle and these are his letters to the churches that he, as an apostle, had pioneered.

We know from the book of Revelation that he pioneered some churches in Asia Minor.

There were seven churches that Jesus told him to write the letters to the apostle in chapters two and three to the pastors of the churches in Asia Minor, which is ancient Turkey.

You know Turkey's a Muslim nation now it's hard to believe that all of the foundation of the gospel that was preached over in that region of the world is almost destroyed.

There's just a remnant of Christianity, and most of it's persecuted.

That had to go underground.

I hear people say this.

Well, you know, church is more effective from underground.

That's a bunch of baloney.

That's against what the Word says.

The Word said to pray for your leaders that you might have a quiet and peaceful life in all Godliness.

That's God's will.

It's not God's will that the church be under the heel of some goofball that lives in the White House.

Amen, I'm getting off, okay, all right, all right.

Did you find?

First John, chapter one.

Yet, and we'll start reading with verse three.

This is the apostle John talking to the church and he said this, which we have seen and heard declare we under you that you also may have fellowship with us and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his son Jesus Christ and these things.

Right, we under you that your joy may be full.

And verse seven but we, if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship.

There's that word again.

See, he has fellowship, you know, and he's warning them to have fellowship with him.

And now he said, if we walk in the light as he is in light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

All right, and then let's look back at James, chapter five, and I'm going to read to it.

Read verse 16, the second part of verse 16, out of the amplified, and it says the earnest that is the heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous person makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.

And so today I wanted to share a message entitled probably won't be the only message, probably a series of messages entitled prayer, joining forces with God.

You know what prayer is not, is not a laundry list of our begging God for things.

Prayer is not trying to get God's attention.

Prayer is not trying to get God to do something Really.

Prayer New Testament, praying by the church is joining forces with God, almighty.

And it's powerful, the power that's released through Bible, believing faith back, spirit filled prayers.

That power is the same power that raised Christ from the dead.

It's the greatest power that the universe has ever seen or known.

It's greater than nuclear power.

It's greater than political power.

It's greater than abuses of power that we witness this week.

More about that later.

It just fits in with what Jesus said was gonna happen in the last days.

You know, if the world looks at this way while the church is here, can you imagine what it's gonna look like when we're gone?

Can you imagine the waves and the seas, the people and what they will stand for when the church is gone?

We're seeing a little glimpse of what it's gonna be like, and, as bad as it is, it's not gonna be near as bad as once the church is raptured and we're sitting around the buried supper of the lamb.

Glory to God.

That's where we're headed.

We're gonna go to supper, while the rest of this world is gonna go to hell on a hand basket.

Amen, and that doesn't give me joy.

It gives me joy, though, that we're gonna receive a harvest out of it, amen, before we're gone.

So prayer is joining forces.

How do you say that?

Well, prayer is fellowship with God.

Now, that word fellowship there in 1 John is a poor translation of the Greek word.

That's why you should have access to a good concordance, and I also.

You can read your Bible.

We'll get a lot out of it.

You can pray, you can, you can pray, you can come to church.

You get a lot out of coming to church, but really there's no substitute for study in the Bible for yourself, and I don't mean having a Bible study where a whole bunch of people stand around in a circle and ask a bunch of dumb questions.

That's not really very profitable.

Most Bible studies that I know about are just a bunch of people quoting a bunch of theories that they learned.

What is a theory?

Well, theory is a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion.

That's Brother Kenneth.

That's Brother Kenneth E Hagin's definition of a theory.

And you know most preachers that go to Bible school, that's all they got is a bunch of theories.

You know the theory of global warming?

That's a theory, but it sure hasn't been proven.

Oh, thank you for two grunts and three old me's.

That's the antichrist spirit trying to gain control of this world.

I mean Biden.

The other day I actually said if we can spend enough money toward it, we can actually control the weather.

Oh, you doofus, there's the secret right there.

Let's get the money, and it's not gonna be rich people that pay the money, it's gonna be you and me.

Well, we're rich, amen, all right.

So no prayer.

That word fellowship.

There is the Greek word coinonia.

Another little book that I recommend you get is the linguistic key to the Greek New Testament.

You see, I didn't study Greek, I don't know Greek, but I have a book where the guys that wrote it are Greek scholars and they've got something to say about every Greek word in the New Testament.

I mean, you just look it up in that little book and they expand and expound even beyond your concordance and they will give you the sense of the meaning of these words so that your Bible study, you can really know what they were saying there in the Bible, a lot of folks, they just kind of hit the high tops of the word and they get misconceptions, they get theories, they get off in the weeds.

Listen, I'm telling you God's truth is forever and that's what my job is is to give you the truth here this morning.

So that Greek word is coinonia.

That is translated fellowship.

There in 1 John that we read, he said hey, look, I've got fellowship with the Father, I've got fellowship with the Son.

I want our fellowship.

We need to have a fellowship between the apostle and the churches that I started.

And then you need fellowship with one another.

You need the word coinonia and fellowship.

When we think about the word fellowship, we just think about hey how you doing, jimbo.

Hey, everything's great, al.

You know things are going good, except I got laid off.

You know that's not.

Yeah, that's fellowship, but that's not what this word means.

Listen to what it means.

First of all, it's a dialogue.

Prayer is a dialogue.

It's not a monologue of your complaining.

Have you ever heard a prayer that's a list of complaints?

Maybe that's how you pray.

Maybe you start off with complaining about your circumstances.

Well, that's not prayer.

Prayer is a dialogue.

Prayer is really the heart of coinonia.

So coinonia, what does it mean?

It means communication.

So that's what prayer is communication?

Two-way communication.

It's a contribution and distribution.

Isn't that interesting?

Coinonia is contribution give, distribution, receive.

See, prayer doesn't take stuff out of you, it puts stuff in you.

You should be stronger after your time of prayer, not weaker.

It means partnership, partnership with God Almighty.

It means participation.

I like to say it this way.

God gave it to me this way.

He said you're on the board of directors and you're sitting at the table of God and sons, unlimited.

Just think about a boardroom, think about a board of directors, and you're around this big table, one of these big old, 30 foot long mahogany tables with those big old chairs all the way around it and you got the CEO.

Jesus is sitting at the head and you're one of his sons and one of his daughters and you're standing there.

And you're not just a bunch of flunkies, you're not just somebody.

Go here, go there, do this, do that.

I was a home builder for 25 years and I had a bunch of subcontractors that I hired.

I didn't do the job myself.

I never poured any concrete myself.

I never dug any slabs myself.

I had guys that would go out there and prep the slab to be poured and all that, and then they would pour it and on the prep crew, their job is to dig the beams and put the steel in the beams and get it all ready to pour concrete into it.

And that way you've got a good, strong foundation.

So they're always hitting me up to go to the store for it.

Hey, here's a dollar, you know, get me a drink and the rest in bologna.

Yeah, not a dollar.

You can't get anything for a dollar.

Even 40 years ago you couldn't get anything for a dollar.

So they expected me to go to the store and get them bologna and a Coke.

But anyway, I said what's your name?

He said doodad.

I said doodad.

What kind of a name is doodad?

How did you get a name like doodad?

He said well, I just around here and I'm told doodis and doodad, so I'm doodad.

Well, you're not doodad, your name ain't doodad.

You're not a flunkie, you're a member of the board of directors of God and sons unlimited.

You have participation, you have distribution and contribution.

Talking about cornonea, now that's what we've got with the father, with the Son Jesus, with the Holy Ghost and second Corinthians.

You know, paul prayed that they would have the cornonea of the Holy Ghost.

So we've got the same thing with the Holy Ghost, because he lives on the inside.

We've got that cornonea.

Oh, it's so much richer than fellowship.

Fellowship just doesn't get the job done.

We need to dig down and find out what it means.

That's why I'm here expounding it on you, getting it out there for you Partnership, participation, communication, contribution, distribution, praise God.

And so this fellowship, then, is vertical, between you and God, the three persons of the Godhead, and it's horizontal.

It goes to your pastor and his leadership.

There needs to be a cornonea and then there's gotta be a cornonea between every member of the church and, of course, the way that God designed, that is around the local church.

You can't have cornonea with somebody that goes to church in Iowa.

I mean, that's a different company.

You know, in the army you know you don't get to pick your outfit, you're assigned an outfit and that's where you report for duty and if you don't happen to like your CEO, tough rockos.

But in today's society, when people come to church I've had people come and when we first started the church, you know I'm brand new Not very many people had heard of me.

I had a few people Blake with them, who I was.

But you know you're starting a brand new church in an area.

You know, and I mean it's not.

You know, if you're not anointed to do it, you can't do it.

A lot of people try and they fail, just like a restaurant.

You know how many Mexican food restaurants started and then failed.

You know, maybe Italian food started and failed.

And church is the same way.

People try to do it.

They, oh, I think I'll start a church.

Well, guess what?

Without the anointing, you're not, you're gonna fail.

So we succeeded.

But I mean, you know, I didn't have a whole lot of how to and I preached like I'm preaching right now.

I haven't really changed my message in 28 years.

I preached that which I had seen, what I have heard and what I have received.

That declare I under you because my fellowship is truly with the Father and with his son, jesus, and with the Holy Ghost.

So that's where I get it.

And I've got Cornineo with my pastor, john Osteen Well, I don't anymore because he's a nevin, and I have some Cornineo with some other great ministries, but not like I have with you, not like I have with the Father and the Son.

Are you with me now and after?

You know, I'm 75 years old, so I have seen a few things, I have heard a few things, I've experienced and that which I have received declare me I under you.

I can be bold when I say what I say because I've experienced it.

Are you with me now?

So we're talking about this Cornineo, this partnership, this participation, contribution and distribution.

So it's vertical and horizontal.

And so the thing in verse seven he says you know you've got to have fellowship one with another, you've got to have Cornineo one with another and as you do, the blood of Jesus Christ, of Jesus Christ, cleanses you from all sin, because you're gonna in a group of people, you're gonna have people that step on each other's toes every now and then You're gonna have people that sit in the chair that you thought belonged to you, that parked in the parking space you thought was your parking space, that might've come up to you and told you something about your breath.

You know everybody go like this.

That's a good thing to do if you're a believer, you know.

Let's make sure that we don't smell that bad where people fall out, but it's not from the anointing.

Where did you learn that Way back there when I started ministering to people one on one?

I mean, you can't minister to people when you offend them with your breath.

Amen, all right, praise God.

Talking about Cornineo.

So Jesus restored the lost fellowship.

You know the Bible says in the book of Genesis that Adam walked with God in the cool of the day.

The word cool there means ruach.

I like that Ruach In the Hebrew, ruach, which means breath.

He walked with God in the spirit.

He was spirit to spirit with God.

He had righteousness, he had a Cornineo and God created man for Cornineo with himself.

Let's make a man just like ourselves, genesis 1.26.

And let us make them masters of all of life.

And I'm not giving up the word masters just because somebody gets offended at the word.

See, we're losing our language all of a sudden Can't even use the word master bedroom.

Oh, that's slavery.

That's no.

It's not Masters, not a.

Give me a break.

You know, if I went to a church it preached that way I'd get out right now yesterday, and that includes Catholics.

You need to re-examine where you're going to church, because your pope is nuts and he's your pope.

If you're a Catholic, I don't know how you do it.

I don't know how you go to the Catholic church with a guy like him who's a Marxist.

At least Listen to what he's saying right now.

He's the father of po, of wokeism.

Anyway, getting back on the track, jesus restored that lost Cornania.

That happened when Adam sinned.

Then Cornania was destroyed among the human race all the way up until Jesus died on the cross and was risen from the dead.

Now we have Cornania with God Almighty.

Abraham did not have Cornania.

Moses didn't have Cornania.

Now, they stood in an office and they were able to hear certain things, but they didn't have what we've got.

We've got a better covenant Preached on that last Wednesday night.

Y'all, to get you know, go back and hear the message.

We have a better covenant, found upon better promises, and yet they did mighty things.

I mean, you read about what Moses did, abraham did David?

Did you read in the Old Testament about the things that they accomplished?

I mean, joshua stopped the sun and the moon the whole day.

I haven't heard anybody do that, and that's the Old Testament.

How did they know that they knew God on a level that we have the church I'm sorry to say, the church is not discovered the level of Cornania that's available to it, where we can operate in the power of God.

But we're getting there, I believe, before Jesus comes we're gonna start seeing Him.

So this lost Koinonia with man, that God I mean that was the whole purpose of man was to be sons and daughters, that he could have fellowship with Koinonia, with partnership, that he could have a distribution and a contribution give and take.

Look at how Abraham prayed for Sodom and Gomorrah.

That's an example of right on the edge of Koinonia.

He was able to intercede for this lost city that was so filthy, dirty, horrible.

Just where we're headed right now.

It's going on right now.

The Chronicles got on the front page of a list of these ugly books that are in the school library.

You ought to see the picture of those books and the titles and they're crying because we're censoring them.

Well, they ought to be burned.

I believe in burning those kind of books.

I mean, that's what they did in the Bible they burned books that had to do with demonic activity.

That doesn't make me crazy.

That makes me righteous.

We're not gonna have that filth in the school, not while we're here and we're still here.

Amen, alright, so let's get over to John, chapter 15.

John 15 · chapter mention

It said an interesting thing and said you know that when you have Koinonia this way horizontally, the blood of Jesus cleanses you from sin, and so we ought to forgive one another.

We ought to just realize that.

Okay, they stepped on my toe.

They said something, their breath smelled.

They stole my seat, they stole my parking.

Listen, we're gonna have to just let the blood wash each other and let's pray for one another.

Let's get along with one another as much as lives within us.

Love plus unity equals miracles.

If you're a complainer, stop it, and I mean right now.

Stop complaining and murmuring and take a list of all the good things that you get when you come to church, instead of complaining about things, and if there's things that you see that need to be corrected.

Start praying.

That's what people do.

That's what people do that have Koinonia on a horizontal basis.

Oh boy, it got quiet in here all of a sudden.

John chapter 15, did you find it?

Jesus must have thought this was important because on the night before he was crucified he took the time to talk to the apostles about Koinonia.

It doesn't use that word, but I want to build a case here.

John chapter 15, verse one.

This is at the last supper.

This is right before he goes to the Garden of Eden and sweats great drops of blood.

Remember that, luke?

Yeah, that was his substitutionary sacrifice.

It was beginning to take upon himself all of the sin and all the diseases of the entire world were coming on him in the Garden and he made this prayer.

He said oh God, if it be thy will, let this cup pass from me Nevertheless.

Not my will, but thine be done.

And so here, 2,000 years later, about a million and a half or 10 million or 100 million Christians pray that way Lord, if it be thy will.

Well, that's not a prayer to be answered.

That was Jesus prayed that one time when he was taking on the sin and the sicknesses of the entire world and he was facing the prospect, for the first time in eternity ever being separated from the bright presence of the Father.

He's about to go to hell, he's about to be separated from God and he is God.

So, faced with that, he is sweating great drops of blood.

I've been through some things, but I've never sweat blood.

Have you Come on up here, if you have, and tell us all about it, because I'd like to hear how bad it was?

No, nobody has.

That was a substitutionary sacrifice.

We shouldn't be in that condition.

We should never be in that place and we should never pray.

If it be thy will, we have no business praying.

If we don't know what his will is, we can pray this Lord, show me your will about this situation.

Now, he'll answer that one.

But we go off and say well, lord, if it be thy will, he'll heal Sister Jones.

You see how she's suffering.

Thank you, lord.

Well, what kind of a prayer is that?

Why don't you finish the prayer?

Oh, lord, if it be, thy will heal Sister Jones, and if it isn't, your will, go ahead and kill her and we'll have the funeral.

Well, we don't pray.

That do we.

But isn't that the implication of your idiotic praying?

So blast, if it be thy will, out of any prayer.

You have no business praying that that's not based on what Cornelia?

When you have Cornelia, you pretty much know what God's will is.

Besides that, if you don't, this is his will, right here.

You can't go wrong praying this right here.

This is his will, and if there's anything in here that you face in life that's not in the pages of the Bible, you know what the Holy Ghost can.

Reveal that to you.

All right.

John 15, verse one.

Notice what Jesus said, and this is about prayer.

I'm going to get to it in a moment.

It's down a little further down, but first he says I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman or the vine dresser.

Every branch in me, everybody shout in me.

See a branch in Christ, then would be a Christian.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away.

Now a lot of people read that and say, yeah, they're going to go to hell.

That's not really what he's talking about at all.

It's not what he's talking about.

He's talking about branches bearing fruit and this branch is supposed to bear fruit and that branch in him, in other words a Christian.

His bloodbought didn't bear fruit.

What kind of fruit is he talking about?

Well, I'll make the case in a minute, but at any way, he's expecting fruit.

There isn't any, so he takes it away.

The word take away means to take by force from one that, what, that, what was his, are committed to them.

So, for instance, you know, in Revelation it says Jesus told those seven churches one of the seven churches he said hold fast that which you have and let no man take thy crown, hold fast.

There's a lot of people in the church that are branches in Christ who have been entrusted with things that they should do.

They've had ministries, they've had gifts, they've had opportunities and they have not borne fruit for the kingdom.

And God is taking their crown away from them.

God is taking away their assignment and giving it to somebody else.

Right after 9-11, I went to Galveston and God gave me that verse.

He said take fast, hold, you know, take heed and hold fast to that which you've got.

Let no man take thy crown, for I'm about to give you the crown of another and if you don't bear fruit, I'm going to take it away from you and give it to somebody else.

See, I've always known that if I don't do the job, god does that mean I go to hell.

No, it might mean that I go to heaven faster.

There are preachers dying and going to heaven, and I know it's because and I know some of them personally, and one of them God told me he was going to go, and I know it's because he didn't bear fruit.

And I'm not saying they went to hell, I'm saying God took away that ministry and gave it to somebody else.

Are y'all with me?

Y'all looking kind of stern.

Well, let me finish the good news.

We got good news here.

Who is God?

Well, he's the husbandman, he's the vine dresser.

All right now, like, keep reading.

And every branch that bear fruit, everybody shout that's me.

Some of you didn't raise your hand.

Okay, get your funerals please.

No, I'm not.

Every branch that bear fruit, he purges it or he pruneth it that it may bring forth more fruit.

You ever had a rose, bush, you want more roses.

You're going to have to prune those roses.

You're going to have to cut them.

You have to cut those branches.

It's hard to do.

You can't break just the dead ones.

You've got to prune the live branch and when you do, it's going to put on more roses.

You know what I found out about a crepe myrtle.

Brother Frank Hester told me this.

Frank's not here, but they're watching by live stream.

I learned this from Frank Hester.

Frank said have you ever trimmed the blooms off of your crepe myrtle?

He said when you do, when they start to kind of turn into berries, prune them off and more blooms will come.

So I tried it.

I had a crepe myrtle in the backyard and you know how they bloom, you know.

And then after a while the blooms kind of go away.

The wind blows the little flowers off and all you got left of these little berries.

Well, I went up there and snipped that old, spent bloom off of the tree and guess what?

In just a couple of weeks I had a new bunch of blooms on my crepe myrtle.

I got my crepe myrtle bloom twice.

I never even I don't even try it the third time.

I don't know if it keep on going or not, but I learned that from Frank.

Well, he learned it from the Bible.

And so when you bear fruit, god will snip off.

And you know, I've had this happen to me when I left Lakewood and started this church, I got a big prune job.

God went snip and man, it hurt.

All the grace to be there and do what I did at Lakewood left me while I was still there and if I hadn't known this, I would not have known what I was doing.

I would not have known what was going on and I could have gotten offended A lot of people when just you know they're just pruned so that they can bear more fruit and they get offended and they get all flustered.

No, don't do that.

God wants you to bear more fruit.

This is how his kingdom works and if you've got corn in the, you will know that when you've got corn in the with the most high, he will show you that he will communicate that with you in your prayer life.

Is this helping anybody?

I feel like maybe I'm going a little over your head and sticking in the back wall.

Everybody, stick up.

Your receiver now Come on, let's receive these words.

We need these.

In the last days We've got to have a better, higher functioning prayer life in our church.

We got to.

We can't get by with first grade, second grade praying.

We've got to have graduate school praying.

We never graduate, but we can get close, all right.

So he said, my father's a vine dresser.

He takes away the branches that don't bear fruit and takes that fruit away from them, and they, they.

He doesn't, you know, it doesn't necessarily they don't go to hell.

He just takes their assignment away and and then the ones that are bearing fruit, he prunes them so they can bear more fruit.

Verse For abiding me and I and you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it, abide in the vine.

No more can you except you.

Abide in me.

I am the vine, you are the branches, and he that abideth in me, and I and him, the same, bringeth forth much fruit, for without me you can do nothing.

So I wanna get a picture of this.

Jesus is the vine, we're the branches, the branches are the ones that bear fruit.

Jesus doesn't bear fruit, jesus, the vine doesn't bear the fruit, the vine has the branches.

So we're fond of saying I can do nothing without Jesus.

Well, guess what?

Jesus can do nothing without us.

And this is what's lacking in the church.

They're praying for God to do something about the government.

They're praying for God to do something about this world.

They're praying oh God, oh God, you know he's not gonna do one thing about it.

He's already sent Jesus and we are the branches we're to bear the fruit.

So it begs the question what is the fruit?

Is it love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness?

No, he's not talking about the fruit of the spirit.

He's talking about a different kind of fruit, and I'm fixing to get to what it is.

Let's look at it.

Verse seven if you abide in me, everybody say I am saved, therefore I am in Christ.

So he's talking about me, if you abide in me and my words abide in you.

Now that's a different story.

My words abide in you.

There's a lot of people that abide in him, but the word doesn't really abide in those folks.

And I'm sorry, but the church is.

They got a lot of people where the word doesn't abide in them that much.

They don't read their Bible, they don't pray the word, and so I challenge people on a regular basis around here.

You must it's not optional, you must let the word of God abide in you.

The results that you're having in your life is kind of a commentary on how much the words abiding in you.

Because he said if those two things occur, if it's a big if, if you abide in me?

Well, we got that box checked.

And my words?

Abiding in you?

Well, that's up to you, is it or is it not?

You're just gonna give the word a little kick once a month, or just give it a little kick once a week and come to church and that's it.

No, we've got to abide in the word, we've got to live in the word.

That means every day, daily, the word of God is our lifestyle.

If those two things are true, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

You will ask what you will.

Notice those words, jesus said them.

You will ask what you will, not what I will.

What you will, and it shall be done unto you Herein, or in other words, when that happens.

My Father is glorified that you bear much fruit, so shall you be my disciples.

So fruit he's talking about is prayer fruit.

The fruit he's talking about is speaking things into existence.

The word ask means ask, but it also means to make a demand.

Amen, a lot of praying that I do is really not praying.

It's just declaring decree, commanding, demanding, not of God, but making a demand on the covenant, Because you got to know what the covenant is and the only way you can know what the covenant is.

Do abide in his word.

Are you with me now?

Some of your light's beginning to turn on, see.

This is why I've been preaching this so long.

I'm trying to get the church to move over into this silly, out of this silly prayer.

And, oh God, if people call by my name, second chronicle 714, if people call by my name, humble themselves in prayer and then I will heal their land.

Bam, bam, bam bam.

That's Old Testament talk about is.

It has nothing to do with America and her condition.

Right now we must rise up and demand, in the name of Jesus, certain things to happen.

It's not begging God to do something, because God's not gonna do one thing.

He already provided himself his change agent, and that is us.

We're the change agent.

That means we have to get involved, and we have to do more than just vote.

We have to actually get involved.

Voting is just the first step.

There's all this other stuff that has to happen.

Are you with me now?

The church hasn't been doing it.

That's why we're at in the condition we're in.

So he said here's a branch, it's not bearing fruit.

What does he do?

He takes it away.

He takes the assignment away, doesn't take, he doesn't cut the branch and throw it in the fire.

Let me show you what that one says.

It says here in verse six if a man abide not in me, okay, that's a person that's not saved Might be coming to church.

He might have joined the church.

You know, I know people that joined the church when they were five years old.

Down the aisle, anybody want to join the church today.

Here, you know, ignorant preacher doesn't even know how to give an altar call.

He has people come down the aisle to join the church.

Well, you can't join.

You can join the church like you join the Rotary Club, but that doesn't make you save.

Sitting in church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than sitting in a garage to make you a car.

You have to give your heart to Jesus.

You have to be born again.

That's the correct way to get somebody into the church is to make sure they're saved.

So they come up and they take join hands with the pastor, with the guy that calls himself a pastor and said okay, you're now a member of First Church, now Show up here for baptism.

So we baptize pagans and they grew up thinking that they're Christians just because they're not Muslim.

Are you with me now, so that that satisfies this right here?

In other words, if a man abide not in me, they don't abide in Christ, because they never asked Jesus to come into their heart and change them.

They never repented, they never confessed that Jesus was their Lord and believed that Christ was raised from the dead.

They never qualified.

Are you with me now?

You have to be born again, jesus said.

I didn't say it, so he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned.

So that's talking about unsaved people, many of which are in the church.

But how do you know the difference?

Well, I don't know.

I can't tell from outside, but I have preached the word and when I preach the word, people can identify whether they are part of that.

I knew a guy one time went to school with him.

He was a rascal and he always was a rascal until he died when he was about sixty, of cirrhosis of the liver because he was an alcoholic.

But I think he was an alcoholic when we went to high school together, married somebody that I know was abusive to her and all that had all kind of terrible stuff, history.

And I had the opportunity.

One day I saw him.

You know, refurio was our common denominator.

I saw him down the street.

He stopped say hello.

I started talking to him about Jesus because I knew he was as lost as a goose.

I knew that I, at my high school years, I was lost too.

We were ballast together, but I got saved and I knew I was saved and I knew that he thought he was because he, you know he, went down the aisle and joined the church.

I said, larry, you know, have you heard about happen to?

Yeah, yeah, my brother knew him too.

Yeah, bob told me about both of you.

I said, yep, we both had a radical salvation.

I said it's available to you, would you like?

I said have you ever given really given Jesus your heart?

Oh, yeah, I did that when I was five years old.

I said no, I'm not talking about joining the church, I'm talking about being completely changed.

I said I went to church all my life.

I was president, the nights of the altar, I was down there all the time.

I went to church three times a week, but I was lost.

You cannot, you don't have to be lost, larry.

He didn't want to hear it and, as far as I know, he never did give Jesus Maybe on his deathbed, I guess, I don't know.

But when you don't give your heart to Jesus, what happens?

Well, eventually you're cast forth as a branch and you're withered, and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they're burned.

So what we're talking about is this cornonea that Jesus bought and paid for, and this cornonea is a continued heartfelt connection.

James talks about the continued heartfelt, earnest on fire.

Prayer of a righteous person avails much, makes tremendous power available.

The reason I'm not discouraged about what's going on in America, to the point where I think it's over, is because of the prayer that this church has prayed for.

I don't know how many decades now almost 28 years we prayed this kind of prayer corporately.

I've prayed this kind of prayer in my prayer life.

I've had visitations from God.

I've told you what those visitations were.

I have declared them unto you numerous times over the 28 years.

That's why I know we didn't just over here twiddling our thumbs saying twinkle, twinkle little star.

Oh God, do something about this man.

We never prayed that way.

We have stood in the place of authority and great, tremendous power has been released over this nation.

I don't know about other churches, maybe I know we're not the only one, but I do know about this one and I have full confidence that our prayers have been heard.

I have full confidence that this abuse of power is going to be answered.

Amen, amen.

In my opinion, they've overplayed their hand.

Just, the devil always goes too far.

That's why the devil is stupid.

If the devil was smart, he would pull back just a little bit.

But he, he, he smells blood and he keeps galloping along and then report you know, poor dumb, some of the dumbest people on earth are Christians.

Don't know how to talk, don't know how to, how to stand in their covenant.

That's why I'm saying this, that's why I'm preaching this, so I can wake some people up and say, hey, quit praying this silly way.

That's not the way for us to pray.

You know, when Paul came across, bore Jesus, he didn't try to get him saved.

I have people say all the time oh, let's pray for, let's pray for the president, that he gets saved.

I don't spend any time praying for his salvation.

He grew up in America.

He knows the gospel.

He's heard it a million times.

He's rejected the gospel.

Pelosi rejected the gospel a long time ago.

They claim to be Catholic, just like this guy that I talked about claimed to be first church.

Well, they can claim that, but they're not saved by their works.

You know them.

Well, you're not.

Third.

I know I'm not their judge, but I can judge their works and their works are evil and I don't have any obligation to pray for somebody that does evil when they've been elected.

Are you with me now?

So learning how to pray is so powerful.

So we're fond of saying we can do nothing without Jesus, but you know, in fact, he can't do anything without us.

So it's just kind of this whole idea of getting Jesus, getting God, to do something about this trouble, is a waste of time.

We have to do something about it and I tell you when we start to learn how to pray, which we are going to be praying.

I haven't consulted my staff yet about this, but I got it real strong yesterday.

I told them in a staff meeting the other day that I hadn't really felt any urge to have power hour plus again, but I do now and we are going to have power hour plus coming up before the election and the November election, so we will have some good power hour plus is coming up here in the fall We'll let you know when, I'll consult with them about the dates and we do that on Sunday nights and we're going to have some Holy Ghost Prayer.

We have prayed so many prayers over this nation.

We prayed so many prayers over Trump when he was president.

We prayed so many prayers going back to 2000 election.

We, this church, prayed during the 2000 election which, by the way, was decided in the Supreme Court the hanging charge, remember that.

And the Democrats didn't accept the results of that, remember that.

And just because we didn't accept the results of this, we had to live with it.

When we didn't accept it, well then, we're supposed to be, you know, traders.

We're supposed to be all this.

This is stupidity.

You know what God told me about the Democrats?

The truth is not in them, so they can't tell the truth, even when the truth would be better for them to say.

They can't tell the truth.

They are bound to lie.

They lie Every time they open their move, their mouth.

It's a lie.

The truth is an animal.

When Paul came across bar Jesus, he was.

He was trying to stop the deputy from the governor of that province from getting saved.

And Paul didn't come and say hey, I need to pray for you, brother, Come on down here, let me pray for you.

No, he said you, enemy of righteousness, you, child of the devil, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Now behold, I shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season, and they were hunting for people to take him by the hand and take him back home, because he was blind from that instant.

See, that's the kind of power the church possesses and forgot that it had, and we're going to rediscover that coming up, we're going to start dealing with these people in the only way they know how.

Only it'll be the power of God and not the power of politics or the power of something else.

Are you with me now?

Y'all, get ready, get strapped in, so we can't bear fruit without Jesus and Jesus can't bear fruit without us.

So, therefore, then, prayer is a joining of forces.

I hope I want you to get that prayer.

You know, I heard somebody say one time well, we know, my mother was dying and I wouldn't do anything else, so we just prayed.

Well, you know that's.

That's pitiful there's.

You should have prayed early on.

Prayer would change things If you knew how, if you knew what amen, and and that's the power of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Sometimes we don't know how or what to pray for, as we ought, but the Holy Ghost will help us pray.

So this cornea is based on the fact that you need to be filled with the Holy Ghost, with evidence of speaking in other tongues, and if you don't have that and you come to this church, you're wasting a lot of time because you can't really put this into effect without the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Somebody said well, you know, I'm filled with the Holy Ghost, I just don't speak in tongues.

Well, don't argue with me, that's just a lie, it's not scriptural.

What you're saying is not true.

You know, and I've heard big preachers.

You know Robison.

James Robison is one of the biggest preachers.

I know it's on television.

For 40 years, I mean, I used to see him when I was lost and I just shut the TV off because back then he was going like this You're going to hell.

And remember James Robison.

He was an angry Baptist preacher back in the 70s when I first saw him on television.

That's James Robison, the guy that sells vitamins, you know, and his wife on late night TV, but I heard him say it Lakewood.

You know I'm filled with a whole to go, so I just don't speak in tongues.

So Brother Holstein had to come back after that and correct it, not while he was there but after, when he left.

And you know he's got a lot of influence and you know that's a lie that's not based on God's word.

To be filled with a Holy Ghost means you are.

The scriptural evidence is speaking in other tongues and it's so valuable, all right.

So the word ask.

Another thing to remember in this message it means to demand your do and remember you're not demanding anything from God, you're not being disrespectful to God, but you're demanding your do.

You're demanding on the basis of your covenant.

One example was the man at the gate, beautiful, who had been lame for 40 years, and Peter and John were going to the hour of prayer nine o'clock in the morning up to the temple and they pass this beggar who's been there.

He's qualified to beg.

You can give alms to this man and satisfy your obligation in Israel to give alms.

He's registered with the temple, everybody knew he was lame from his mother's womb and Peter looked on him, fastened his eyes on him, look on us.

And he thought well, they're gonna give me some money, silver and gold have I none.

But such as I have, give I thee In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Very specific, see the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, that Jesus, the one that the Jews just crucified, said crucify him.

Crucify him, that one In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who's not dead, he's alive, rise up and walk.

And he didn't move fast enough.

So Peter reached out and jerked him up by the hand and immediately strength came into his feet and ankle bones.

He received strength and he went walking and leaping and praising God into the temple.

And everybody saw it.

Oh, it was a notable miracle.

See, that's the kind of he didn't pray.

He didn't say oh God, if it be, I will heal this poor, unfortunate soul.

He's been here 40 years.

Oh God, no, there was no prayer made.

He made a demand.

He didn't even talk to the devil, he didn't even cast the devil out of him.

He just said in the name of Jesus.

That's the name we still have.

That name is above every name.

You talk about cornonea.

When we get that cornonea flowing, it's not even so much.

We have to have a time of prayer, but really prayer is all day long, every day.

Everything you're involved with is ministry.

You're going to be confronted with people that don't know what you know.

They don't have what you have and you can give them.

You can, such as I have, give I the praise God, you just give it away.

Glory to God.

And so this is how a disciple glorifies God that you bear much free.

So shall you be my disciples.

So three aspects before in this, three aspects of joining forces with God.

Cornonea, everybody say cornonea.

Cornonea, we're in this together.

Say it out loud, we're in this together.

Say we're doing things greater than ourselves.

All right, cornonea, with the father and his son, jesus and the Holy Ghost, really with God.

That aspect, the earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer.

And so you pray.

I pray with my Bible open in my lab.

A lot of times I'll read my Bible and then I'll come across a verse and I'll pray that verse or I'll claim that verse, whatever.

And then, you know, I'll pray in tongues for a while and then I'll get a little Psalm.

I'll get a little poetic kind of a flow about it and I'll speak that out.

Sometimes I'll get a little song.

I used to.

I've gotten numbers of songs.

We don't sing them much around here anymore because they were mostly choruses but I read, you know, in my prayer time God would give me choruses.

I'd compose on my Omnicord and have a prayer.

I mean a little chorus that we would sing here at church.

That I got when I was praying and that's a fruit of the spirit.

That's that prayer fruit.

Are you with me now?

And so these Ramas, psalms, hymns and spiritual songs singing and making melody in our heart to the Lord.

Prayer is the mother of faith.

It's not how we get faith.

We don't pray for faith, but our prayer life is when we have that participation.

We hear back from God and he implants in us things that we didn't know before, and that's where your faith comes from.

You know, once you've heard from God, that's where your faith is, your faith is.

You don't even have to struggle to have it.

Once you know what God's will is in any matter, you've got faith right there.

It's ready and you're ready to go.

You don't have to hear anymore.

It settles the issue.

So prayer is the mother of faith and it's a byproduct of God's communicating with us.

Koinonia again, all right.

The second thing is Koinonia with each other, and I covered that Communication partnership relationship, cpr.

We all need CPR from time to time.

Communication, everybody say communication, partnership relationship and you ought to major on those kinds of things in this church.

I mean, you know, I haven't had people come to the church and say, well, I prayed with my prayer partner the other day about this.

I said, oh well, who is that?

And so and so, that she goes the first Methodist and we've known each other for 40 years.

And I said, well, if I were you, I'd kind of move on.

I mean, they're voting to see whether they're gonna split up now over homosexuality and gay ministers.

And I said that's not new, that's been.

I've been hearing about Methodists and their struggles with the Bible for a long time.

Why would you go to a church that's struggling with the Bible?

Get over here to a church that lives the Bible?

Episcopals the Episcopalians just announced they're in favor of transgender agenda.

It's a matter of freedom of religion.

Are you stupid?

Yes, answer is yes.

If you've got family or people in the Episcopalian churches, listen, use your influence and start getting you know, pray a while, but then get your crowbar and pry them out of that Godless.

It's horrible.

These are the churches where God removed the candlestick.

You don't go back and read Revelations two and three.

And seven churches.

And many of those churches are right now.

They exist right now.

So let's have CPR among each other prayer meetings, services, teams.

We have the welcome team, we have the life team, we have all these teams, gatekeepers teams.

We have teams in this church to accomplish the needs that the church has.

So in these teams, when you get to be part of a team, you start having that CPR, you start having an interaction and you know you've got people now that are doing things that you're doing here in the church and you talk about agreement.

You can come in agreement with people in that team and get your needs met.

You don't have to feel like you're alone.

Amen, because you're not.

And then the last one I wanna mention is the Cornonia, with your pastor, with me and with my family, because, if you haven't noticed, I'm delegating more and more services.

I'm preaching almost all Sunday morning services, unless we have a guest preacher coming in, but I delegate Wednesday night, sunday night.

Tonight.

James is gonna preach tonight.

Somebody else is preaching Wednesday night.

Selena is preaching Wednesday night on live stream, and that's by design and we had started doing that before I had open heart surgery.

It's been almost over four and a half years ago now.

And then during COVID, we had to change things back up and I picked up more preaching and.

But I want my family they're all anointed to stand in this pulpit and so we wanna mention the Cornonia, the partnership relationship, the distribution and the contribution.

When we say things, it's not just a whistle-dixie here, it's not just to twiddle our thumbs, it's not just to make stuff up and do a little soft shoe routine.

It's not for entertainment.

There might be some laughter, might be a little joke every now and then.

Nothing wrong with laughing.

None's taught me not to laugh.

Well, I've had to unlearn that.

Now I laugh a lot in church, but that is so important.

John said look, I've got fellowship with the Godhead and you and I need to have fellowship.

Why do we need to have fellowship?

Because you've got to have confidence in what I'm speaking, what I'm saying.

I've had people that have been here a long time that told me I won't say who it is, but they said you know, I regularly hear from the Holy Ghost in your voice.

When they hear the Holy Ghost, they hear my voice.

Kenneth Copeland was sitting on a bar stool and some dive.

He used to be a country and Western singer entertainer but he grew up in church.

He went to church as a kid, like a lot of people did back then, and he said I'm sitting on that bar stool and having me a beer and a cup of coffee and I'm in between sets of singing and I heard God in the voice of my Sunday school teacher, quoting verses and scriptures, started dealing with me right there on that bar stool and I started bawling.

I started coming under conviction of the Holy Ghost sitting in a ball.

God, come on, lift your hands right now.

You don't think it's important what we do in children's church?

You don't think it's important for us to communicate, have CPR in children's church.

What an honor it is to get to be involved in that, have kids give their hearts to Jesus.

We've had a number of children get saved and filled with the Holy Ghost recently and what an honor.

We started teaching them about communion and several of them came up and got saved because they heard about communion, heard about common union with God, and they wanted that.

Oh, come on.

Praise God, hallelujah.

It's so important to have Cornoneo with your pastor and the biggest aspect of that is the aspect of supernatural hearing.

I know many of you've been burned.

I know many of you are here because you got mad because your church closed down during COVID.

I won't say many, but some of you, your church left you.

I've heard you say that to me and some people that haven't yet stuck.

They come through.

Well, I'm out looking for a church.

My church left me.

I didn't leave them, they left me.

I hear that on a regular basis.

That is a sign of the times.

That's what Jesus said was going to happen before he returns.

There was gonna be a falling away.

Well, yeah, there is a falling away, but it's not just you know, on that side, but there's gonna bring a regather.

There's gonna be a corresponding.

There's gonna be greater numbers of people get saved and fall away.

I can tell you that right now, because God knows how to bring forth a crop.

He is the husbandman, he's the best farmer that ever lived.

That's my confidence that this thing is not over, that God's not through with America.

Do you think he's gonna use Saudi Arabia?

Is he gonna use Somalia?

Somalia, no.

Is he gonna use all these godless nations?

Is he gonna use Germany?

Is he gonna use Great Britain?

Oh my God, talk about fall.

I think about the mighty preachers that came out of that nation and the great revivals they had.

I just can't even imagine.

I wonder if they know that in heaven.

They probably don't.

They probably have filtering of knowledge on earth.

They don't bother themselves what's going on down here.

They already did their part, but it's almost like it was a waste.

I mean, they got a wonderful harvest at the time, but it didn't last.

Listen, america is on the number one list for God to use in these final days.

I fail to believe anything else but that I know things are bad, but it's not over.

It's not time for us to give up.

But anyway, getting back to supernatural hearing, I believe that when you have Quinea with me or with my children when they're preaching, that, when you come to church with whatever you have need of, you're going to hear exactly what you need to hear.

I've heard it over and over.

I've heard it ever since I've been ministering, pastor, when you said such and such today.

Oh, I needed to hear that and I don't remember.

I learned not to ever say well, I remember saying that.

I just say well, I'm so glad it blessed you, I'll go back and try to hear it.

Try to find it.

I can't find it, I can't hear it.

If some towel between the time it came out of my mouth into my microphone, went up into the speaker and the speaker traveled down to your ears, god turned whatever I said into what you needed to hear Supernatural hearing.

And when you trust me, when you honor the gift not me, but you honor the gift that's in me, when you have confidence that God knows what he's doing, then you're eligible to hear whatever it is that you need to hear.

It's going to be a blessing to you.

And then, when you don't honor the gift, when you look down on it and you say wow, that's just Jay preaching.

He's just, you know, he's pastor's son.

Well, pastor's son is anointed Pastors, daughters, anointed Pastors I mean my whole family, each one of them have paid a price.

They are anointed.

They wouldn't be up here preaching and teaching.

They all bring a different dispensation.

They bring a different flavor.

I mean, if you just ate steak every night, every night, every night, you finally just hey, what steak again.

But what if you've got a?

What if you've got a banquet?

What if you've got just a diverse?

You know the gifts and callings of God are just.

They're diverse.

When you have a negative opinion and when you have a complaint or when you have a resistance to it, you can have supernatural hearing, but you'll hear things that we didn't say and it won't be a blessing to you.

I've had that happen to you.

Well, you know you were talking right to me.

I don't do that.

I don't talk to people like that.

I talk to a whole group of people.

I don't preach down to anybody.

I don't get up here and correct an individual from the pulpit.

I know better than to do that.

That would wound somebody.

That's where a lot of people have come from.

They come from churches where the pastor doesn't know squat and he corrects people from the pulpit and wounds them.

I've had to be in charge of trying to restore people that are like that, that have been wounded in church, and it's difficult to get them back to where they're on a trusting basis.

So I had to be patient.

I had to be patient with people because I know where they came from.

I know they've been run over.

I know they've been abused.

I know they've been sucked dry and my job is just to keep giving the living water out.

It's just to keep giving the Word of God out.

Be kind, be patient and hopefully someday they'll finally be able to trust their pastor like they should.

Because I believe where we're headed right now is gonna be imperative for us to develop koinonia in all these areas, not only with God, with each other, but with the ministry.

Come on, lift your hands and receive.

Praise God, joining forces with God.
