Lift those Bibles, wave them around.
-
Thank you, worship team.
-
It's so beautiful, hallelujah.
-
Let's say this together say heavenly Father, thank God for the Holy Ghost, he is my helper.
-
Holy Spirit, illuminate the Word of God to me today.
-
Give me revelation, not just head knowledge, but spiritual revelation upon which I base my faith in your Holy Word.
-
Your Word is doing what it's designed to do.
-
It's giving me the victory in every aspect of my life.
-
In Jesus name, amen, let's turn in our Bibles to Galatians, chapter three.
-
Praise God.
-
What a service we've had already.
-
Aren't you glad?
-
Just you know we don't have to have a canned service.
-
View everything the same way every time.
-
This is an example of what it means to have a Spirit filled church.
-
The Holy Ghost is in charge.
-
I mean just like lightning, I'm sitting down there and just enjoying the music.
-
And he said get up there and get people filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
And we did Praise God, all right.
-
Galatians, chapter three.
-
Have you found it?
-
I haven't.
-
I'm still lagging behind here, sorry, and I'm going to read it in Galatians, chapter three, 13.
-
It says Christ hath redeemed us past tense, christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us or that is in our place, for it is written cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.
-
That the blessing, or so that the blessing see.
-
There's a linkage there.
-
He had to do this so that the other could happen.
-
He had to become a curse so that we could get the blessing See.
-
That's what this means, that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles.
-
So the might word.
-
The might word there is.
-
Well, it means it might or might not know.
-
Might means it's on you, it's already done, but whether it happens is up to you.
-
That's why I'm preaching this that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles.
-
That we notice he says we even though Paul was originally a Pharisee and a Jew, but he identified with the people he was preaching to, which were the Gentiles.
-
He was the apostle of the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.
-
That's what happened right down here at the altar.
-
They received the promise of the whole reason.
-
We're redeemed, so we can walk full of God.
-
We don't have to have this big gulf between God's way up there and we're way down.
-
No, he's right here and the baptism brings that home to you.
-
So today I wanted to share a message entitled redeemed from the curse.
-
I'll come a little on the negative side.
-
I've got a message on the blessing.
-
We could talk about the blessing this morning.
-
But you're not gonna get the blessing If you don't understand and when I mean understand, I don't mean the head knowledge.
-
I'm talking about revelation.
-
Now I'm talking about what the spirit reveals to your spirit, about your redemption, redeemed from the curse.
-
That's what Jesus came to do, that we might, that we might, that we might see.
-
The might is on us.
-
We've got to do something about it.
-
We've got to move from where we are to where he is.
-
There's always a gap between knowledge and action.
-
We know something, maybe even up in our head, we might even know it down in our heart, but we're not doing what we need to do to close the gap.
-
As long as you've got a gap, there's gonna be places for the devil to give you the curse.
-
Are you with me now?
-
You know God told me years ago he said just teach what you take for granted, quit.
-
I was struggling there for a little season, you know, after we four, five, six years old, and you just preach and preach and you think what can I preach now?
-
What am I gonna preach now?
-
I'm thinking that I have to come up with something new.
-
I've got to have something worthy of the sign outside.
-
You know how the Baptist church always has these fancy sayings out in the yard and we don't have those.
-
And some of my Thurman Tyler maybe not very fan me a little fat in the mouth, but really he said teach what you take for granted.
-
Do you remember me telling you, some of you newer ones, give me a year of your life.
-
You see, this is an example of giving me a year of your life because if you look back a few weeks, we started talking about the power of positive expectation what you're thinking about and then we talked about you know you've got to your confession builds a road over which faith carries its mighty cargo.
-
So you're confession.
-
And then we talked about faith makes a demand.
-
That's news to a whole lot of people, but I take it for granted.
-
I've been doing it for 40 plus years.
-
I pray that way, I act that way.
-
That's who I am.
-
I can't relate to people that beg God, that whine and cry and beg as if God didn't do anything.
-
No, he's already done.
-
Every he hath redeemed us.
-
It's a done deal.
-
But then there's the might.
-
Why is the might there?
-
Because it's up to you.
-
You're not, you won't get it.
-
You won't get it by it.
-
It's not going to just fall down on you.
-
Are you with me now?
-
Yes, so let's get into this powerful message.
-
It'll change your life.
-
So you link it up to what I've been preaching.
-
I want to paint you a picture of your life and how you can live your life in victory.
-
You don't have to be on the bottom of the barrel.
-
He doesn't want you there.
-
God's not trying to teach you anything.
-
This is where a lot of you, a lot of you've been taught that that God's teaching you a lesson he allowed.
-
That's the language of unbelief Allow, allow, allow.
-
God allowed it.
-
Oh, it's some mysterious reason why it happened.
-
No, it's happened because you're ignorant.
-
You're ignorant of your covenant.
-
And ignorant is three.
-
It can be total ignorance, it could be partial ignorance or it can be ignorance.
-
You know it, but you don't really access it.
-
You don't really.
-
You know, grab ahold of it by faith and contend for it.
-
I like to use the word appropriate.
-
You know, in the Congress, in the legislature, you know, the house of representatives appropriate the money to be paid and then the Senate does their part.
-
But it all begins in the house.
-
But why?
-
Because the house is closer to the people.
-
They only have two year terms.
-
If we don't like the way they're spending our money, we ought to get rid of them and fire them.
-
There's a whole bunch of them getting fixed and get fired in a couple of weeks.
-
Now we're gonna hold that other group accountable.
-
You better start spending our money.
-
Quit spending our money.
-
Sending money to Ukraine.
-
Come on, we got plenty of things to.
-
How about spending some money on Houston Intercontinental Airport?
-
Good Lord, mercy.
-
That is the biggest mess I've ever seen.
-
All right, that's another subject.
-
All right.
-
So the word redeemed?
-
How many of you wanna know what it means?
-
It means to return to the original owner, to restore to the original condition.
-
I love the old cars, the all cars.
-
I like cars, new cars, old cars, I like all kinds of stuff and I admire these guys that can take an old car, it's rust bucket, it looks like it's completely worthless, and they can work on that thing and then turn it in something amazing.
-
And that's exactly what Jesus did for us.
-
We were born into sin.
-
Why were we born in it?
-
Because Adam sinned and because of one man, sin death reigned all the way through the human race.
-
Every person's born into sin.
-
We're not all the children of God.
-
That's a lie, president Bush.
-
I wanna remind you you're a liar when you said that after 9-11, we're all the children of God.
-
No, we're not.
-
Most of us are the children of the devil because by virtue of the fact they haven't been born again.
-
But when you are born again, you change sovereigns.
-
The devil is no longer sovereign in your life, and Jesus is your Lord or your sovereign, and God is your sovereign now.
-
And so what original condition?
-
What the condition that Adam had before he fell.
-
Adam was the master of all of life.
-
And no, I'm not gonna get rid of the word master just because it's got a slavery kind of.
-
They wanna change our language.
-
They wanna make everything evil fooey on them.
-
What is that?
-
That's the God of this world.
-
You have to reject that.
-
You have to resist that Master God.
-
In the living Bible, god said let us make a man just like ourselves and let us make them masters of all of life.
-
That was what Adam was.
-
He was the God of this world before the fall.
-
When he fell, what did he do?
-
He obeyed the devil.
-
He gave his authority to the devil and then, from then on until Jesus man was born in sin, they were born slaves, if you will, of the devil.
-
So that's what you have today and so.
-
But in first Corinthians, 620, it says what?
-
No, you're not, that your bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost and you're not your own.
-
You've been bought with a price.
-
Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God.
-
Everybody say I don't belong to myself.
-
See, we lose that.
-
Christ is so easy to get, so wrapped up in you, you, you, me, me, me, that we forget that we are love slaves of a love God.
-
Really, that's what we really are Now.
-
He doesn't treat us like slaves, he treats us like sons, but he does expect us to do what he says Amen.
-
And so, and you probably all heard Romans 629, where it says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God, everybody say the gift of God is everlasting life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
-
So the wages of the devil, the sin, the wages of sin, there's wages there.
-
Sin has wages.
-
A lot of Christians try to take on their presalvation position about sin.
-
No, jesus paid for your sin.
-
You don't have any wages to pay.
-
It's gone.
-
All you have to do is own that.
-
You missed it.
-
You missed the mark, you had a lack of love or whatever the sin was.
-
Get it under the blood and you're released.
-
There's no penalty for it.
-
A lot of people think that they are paying for the sins that they've come.
-
No, you didn't.
-
Jesus paid for them.
-
You're believing the wrong thing.
-
You're saying the wrong thing.
-
Are you with me now?
-
So when you look that word sin up, see, we didn't get the wages of sin, we got everlasting life.
-
The life of.
-
That's the Zoe life super bunnet and quantity superior in quality.
-
When you look up Zoe and your concordance, how many of you got a concordance?
-
How many of you have an iPhone?
-
See, it's got a concordance.
-
If you get the app, you got a concordance in there.
-
I've got a concordance at home.
-
It weighs about 150 pounds.
-
It's about this big.
-
It's hard to read.
-
It's tiny, tiny print.
-
I never look at that thing anymore.
-
I've got my iPhone now.
-
I've got a real handy concordance.
-
I look up words.
-
When you look up the word sin in the linguistic key to the Greek New Testament.
-
Now, that's a little book about that big and that's written by Greek scholars I'm not a Greek scholar, but they are and they'll tell you what the background of that word is.
-
So sin, I want you to listen to what they say about the word sin.
-
Sin here it refers to a sovereign or a ruler, a ruler who demands military service of his subjects, let these their quota of arms.
-
In other words, he issues weapons and ammunition and gives you your quota, gives you your share.
-
Are you with me?
-
Now?
-
What is sin?
-
Sin is a sovereign, sin is a king.
-
Sin is a, you know, is a ruler.
-
He demands military service from his subjects.
-
He levies their quota of arms.
-
This is wrapped up in the Greek.
-
You know, you just see sin, you just think.
-
Well, you know, it's when I lied, or it's when I cheated, or it's when I this, or when I that or whatever I've had unforgiveness towards somebody.
-
Not well, it's that, but this is.
-
It's much more.
-
Sin is a sovereign or ruler who demands military service from its subjects, levies their quota of arms and gives them their soldiers pay.
-
And what's?
-
Their soldiers pay Death.
-
Death is not physical death.
-
Death is separation from God.
-
Well, you know what?
-
When we see any, I mean, we're never separated from God.
-
Our fellowship is interrupted until we confess it and receive forgiveness for it and cleansing for it.
-
That's why you should keep short accounts with God.
-
When you know you miss it, you know you missed it.
-
Right then.
-
Then it's oh God, I missed it, I'm sorry, please forgive me.
-
And right then.
-
And then you miss it.
-
You put that you forget about it.
-
Oh, you don't mean I shouldn't think about it, I should.
-
No, it's under the blood, it's gone.
-
God's not thinking about it once you confessed it.
-
But what happens when you don't Well see, then you're interrupting your fellowship, and then you're gonna interrupt your fellowship some more, and some more, and some more and some more, until you get in trouble.
-
You're gonna bring some curses on you, and it wasn't God that did it.
-
You walked over here in the curses when you could have been blessed Because you've been redeemed from that mess.
-
Why do you wanna act like that?
-
This devil that you've been redeemed from is now your sovereign.
-
See, that's what happens with sin.
-
Sin is a sovereign, it's a ruler.
-
He's expecting you to serve him.
-
Have you noticed how good all these unbelievers are serving their Lord.
-
They serve him night and day, day and night.
-
There's no end to how much evil they will do.
-
There's no amount of violence that they won't commit, there's no amount of perversion that they won't engage in.
-
They are serving their men, and you know what he gives them supernatural weapons.
-
Now, their supernatural weapons are not anything like ours, but they are supernatural.
-
You take a George Floyd.
-
I mean, why did the police officers do what they did?
-
Well, this guy's a huge guy, he's a known criminal, he's a drug addict, a drug pusher, and he had swallowed the drugs in order to not go to prison.
-
See, that's not being told.
-
We're told all this stuff about kneeling on his head and kneeling on his throat and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
-
They killed him.
-
No, he killed himself, because these guys, when they take these drugs, they're super human strength and they can't be subdued, even with a taser.
-
You can't shock them enough to.
-
I mean, they will come after you and they will kill you.
-
So they did it knowing what they know.
-
I mean, you know, we've got to change things in this country about our law enforcement.
-
But anyway, getting back to this, see, this is what the Bible's talking about.
-
Sin is a sovereign, he's a master, he's a ruler and he expects his servants, his slaves, to serve him.
-
He's gonna give them their quota of arms and ammo.
-
You're getting your quota of arms and ammo this morning From your heavenly father through the Holy Ghost, through your pastor, teaching you something I take for granted because I've lived by this for 40 years.
-
So.
-
And then he gives them their soldiers pay, which is death, see.
-
But when you receive, jesus says Lord, you changed sovereigns, see, you're not under him anymore.
-
You've been bought, you've been see.
-
Really.
-
Another word for redeemed is ransomed, ransomed.
-
Jesus paid the ransom and got you out of the prison, house of darkness, and set you in his place oh, glory to come on, lift your hands right now.
-
And he took our wages of sin.
-
Jesus did Once and for all.
-
So you're not paying for any sin.
-
You know you gotta get rid of see.
-
All you Catholics, see, you got it drummed into you from young age that you've gotta make up for your sin, that you gotta do a novena, that you gotta say 10 our fathers and five Hail Marys, and all of that, and penance.
-
There's no penance.
-
There's no penance.
-
Jesus, there isn't any penance.
-
There's no.
-
Hey, even the Catholic church quit teaching on purgatory.
-
It's no longer a doctrine of the Catholic church.
-
Did you know that?
-
Some of you Catholics looking at me like I'm crazy?
-
Well, it's been gone for about 40 years, but your parish priest failed to tell you that they want to hold you in bondage to religion.
-
They want to make you do something Jesus already paid for.
-
You don't have to pay for anything.
-
There's no penance.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
Y'all are looking at me kind of funny.
-
Well, you know, whatever you could doubt me if you want to Look it up for yourself.
-
So, being redeemed from the curse there's three broad categories of the curse from which we're redeemed.
-
Number one sickness and disease.
-
Number two torment and confusion.
-
If you're tormented, you've been redeemed from that.
-
You have no business being tormented.
-
You have no business having fear.
-
You have no business having sleepless nights.
-
You have no business being afraid of anything anytime.
-
Now you know there's a natural fear.
-
I mean, I have a natural fear of laying down on the freeway at midnight, and so the fear of being run over by 18 wheelers is enough to keep me, you know, from doing that.
-
I mean, I have a natural fear when I hear a rattlesnake rattle I went through all of that a few weeks ago I mean it's just inside of me, I hear the rattlesman and I jump up about 17.
-
I mean I could probably win a contest or something.
-
It's just in there, but that's not fear enough.
-
That's not.
-
That's my flesh, that's not my spirit.
-
So sickness and disease, torment and confusion, poverty and lack.
-
So, pastor, where do you get all this?
-
Well, look at Deuteronomy 28, verses 15, not right now, but later on homework.
-
Deuteronomy 28, verses 15 to 68.
-
That's 54 verses of curses.
-
It lists 54 verses of the curses of the law, in other words Israel.
-
If you don't do the law, if you don't do what I tell you to do, if you don't eat the way I tell you to eat, if you don't sacrifice the way I told you to sacrifice, if you don't kill the trespass, offering the peace, offering the sin, offering blah, blah, blah, blah.
-
They're supposed to have burning animals and blood shed all day long, all night long, forever.
-
And they got off of it.
-
They quit and even today they don't do animal sacrifices anymore.
-
So there's really no place for them to get their atonement.
-
See Old Testament.
-
They have atonement which is the blood of bulls and goats, which they quit doing that a long time ago.
-
So really, their approach to God is dependent on them building another temple, which the Bible says they're going to do.
-
They've already got the red heifer and they are preparing to get things together and build the temple again.
-
There's got to be a temple for the Antichrist to get into and defile.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
All right, so when you look at Deuteronomy, 28, 15 through 68, now you know, 1 to 14 says blessed in the city, blessed in the coming out, blessed in coming, going out, coming in and so forth, and blessed in your body, blessed in your basket in your store, blessed, blessed.
-
We like to read the blessing scriptures, and I do too, but if you start with verse 15, all the way to 68, 54 verses of curses, those are all the things that you should never have in your life.
-
And then in one verse it says and all the sicknesses and diseases that are not written here, those will come on you and destroy you until you be destroyed.
-
So if you don't find your sickness or your disease in that list, then anything.
-
See, they didn't have AIDS back then.
-
They didn't have a lot of things back then that we have in modern times.
-
So there's no escape.
-
Any sickness, any disease is a curse and you don't have to put up with it.
-
As a matter of fact, when you allow that on your body, aren't you the caretaker of somebody else's property?
-
I mean, it's not even your property anymore, it's his property.
-
He owns you lock, stock and barrel, but you're the caretaker of his body.
-
Are y'all getting ahold of it?
-
I mean we ought to not just be so casual about letting things affect us the way we do.
-
Well, I'm okay, I can live with that, it's not that bad.
-
Well, you know, it's not about whether it's that bad or not.
-
It's about if you're going to let something occupy God's property that doesn't belong there, that's a curse then you're opening the door for something else to come Worse.
-
And besides that, what are you saying to God when you say well, you know, I know it's your property, but I don't care if there's a few weeds.
-
I know you paid me to get it all cleaned up, but it's all right.
-
What kind of attitude is that?
-
Is this helping anybody today?
-
I mean we need to take might come, see, the blessing might come, but it won't come on you because you're too permissive, you're too easy for the devil to come and buffalo and make excuses.
-
Everybody's saying there's no more excuses, I'm not putting up, I'm not putting up with curses.
-
See, that's what has to start today.
-
You got to stop it.
-
You got to stop putting up with curses.
-
So how, you know how?
-
How, then, how?
-
They're aware, how are we hindered?
-
I, there's nobody.
-
I know that that doesn't have something that's trying to attach themselves, including me.
-
I mean, you know, I found out after a long, long time that I've got a tendency in my body.
-
I've had a tendency in my body for arrhythmias and I just thought it was other things, that then I finally realized no, this is something that's been lifelong, that the devil assigned to me and I'm not going to put up with.
-
And I don't put up with.
-
I've done everything in my power to stop it, and that includes medication.
-
I'm on some medication right now that helps keep my heart on a, on a sinus rhythm, and I'm not I don't apologize for it, but every day, I speak to my heart, every day and I check up on it.
-
I look up my little Apple watch and I check up on my, my heart rhythm and I make sure it's supposed to be doing what it's supposed to be doing and I'm not accepting it.
-
I'm resisting it.
-
See, that's what I'm talking about.
-
I'm not talking about the presence of something.
-
I'm talking about you're actively resisting that.
-
That's what I mean.
-
That's what I mean.
-
It's not a sin to be sick.
-
It's not a sin to have things in your body.
-
It's a sin to say, oh K Sarasara, what God allowed it?
-
No, he didn't allow it.
-
No, he redeemed you past him.
-
So how is it that we're hindered?
-
Okay, this is, this is worth the whole price of Sunday morning right here.
-
What I'm about to say, you see, redemption has is like a coin.
-
It's got heads or tails.
-
Redemption has got two sides to it.
-
It's got the legal side.
-
The legal side is what has been done by the precious blood of Christ.
-
I I confess that every day, first Peter 119, I've been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
-
Every day I say that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law.
-
I'm blessed with every spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ.
-
Say that every day.
-
These are some things you need to say.
-
Not pray, not pray, say you need to say it and Let the devil know that you're redeemed.
-
Let you know that.
-
Let the redeem to the Lord say so.
-
Well, when you, when you remind the devil of the blood, he gets really weak.
-
His knees start shaking, he starts remembering the suffering that he had After the third day, when, when Jesus led him as a vanquished foe and stripped him of all of his authority, oh, hallelujah, glory to God.
-
So legally, everybody say legally.
-
But then there's another side of the coin.
-
There's a heads and then there's a tail.
-
The tail is vitally.
-
Have you ever had the doctor check your vital signs?
-
What are your vital signs?
-
Well, your blood pressure, your pulse, your respiration.
-
I mean, you know you go to the hospital.
-
They're gonna check your vital signs, like right now.
-
They're gonna find out where you're at on your vital signs.
-
It comes from the Latin in VCA, which means according to life.
-
I Like to call it this functional.
-
There is a legal side of Redemption that's been bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus, and Then there is a functional side of redemption and that is what you actually Experience in your life, where the rubber meets the road, what you experience through faith and patience.
-
See, your faith is involved.
-
And patience, sometimes you have to exercise patience, you know, because things don't just completely changed.
-
You know, symptoms don't necessarily just disappear in a moment.
-
You have to contend.
-
I've been contending against this thing for off and on, for all the way back.
-
See, my first bout with a fib was 2005, so that's 17 years Before that.
-
I never had anything like that, never had anything like that with my heart.
-
But starting in 2005, I started having seas, recurring things, and I've had to.
-
You know, I've been a been a few times in the I.
-
I see you, I don't recommend that place if you can avoid it, but I mean, if you have, if you have to go there, it's nice to have it.
-
So, good care of me.
-
I had the zipper put in.
-
I Don't plan on having unzipped anytime soon, praise the Lord.
-
So I, you know, I've had to have intervention medic, listen, it's not about going to the doctor, not going to the doctor, it's about knowing what Christ has done for you and, vitally, invisiated functionally where the rubber meets the road.
-
How are you?
-
How is your life?
-
How are you appropriating the redemption that Jesus has provided for you?
-
Hey, man, that's a good question you have to answer.
-
Everybody say legally and vitally.
-
I Mean you know.
-
Let's just say, uncle Harry died and left you a million dollars and you and uncle Harry hadn't had any fellowship in quite a while and you didn't even know he died and you didn't even know that you were in his will.
-
But at the reading of the will, when the will was probated and the attorney was reading the will, it said Dwayne Blair, to Dwayne Blair, I bequeath one million dollars cash, provided he quit speaking and other no, well, he didn't know it.
-
And you got an unscrupulous Executor of the estate that says I ain't gonna give a million dollar to Dwayne Blair.
-
I know him.
-
He didn't, he could, he would know what to do.
-
I bet I can spend that money better than he.
-
And because he didn't know what belonged to him, he's a millionaire and doesn't know it and he doesn't have the advantage of it, see.
-
So legally you're over here, but functionally you're down here.
-
See, that's.
-
That's the illustration.
-
But we do know what's in the will.
-
His word is in his will.
-
Right here is his will, right here.
-
We've read it.
-
It's been there's no will Works until the death of the testator Jesus died to put this into effect.
-
We have it now.
-
We're not gonna have it when we go to heaven.
-
We're gonna have it right now.
-
Oh, come on, let's praise him right.
-
I want, I want you to know your rights and privileges of your inheritance, that you have it.
-
It's not gonna come in.
-
You have it now, legally.
-
And then the vitally part is see again, it's up to you.
-
Or do you receive it?
-
Do you?
-
Do you contend for it?
-
Do you?
-
Do you not let the devil just steal, kill and destroy in your life when such a dear price has been paid for you, a Price you couldn't pay?
-
Amen.
-
Second Corinthians 4, 7 says we have this treasure in earthen vessels.
-
I mean you just made out of dirt and a little bit of chemicals.
-
I, when I first started preaching this, which was 1988, you know.
-
But those things asked me.
-
You know, I was selected to be a teacher in the family life Institute, lakewood.
-
That was their version of Sunday school and I had a 55 minute class every Sunday and We'd have serious first are started for six weeks and then they converted to eight weeks.
-
So I had to develop Information to teach people for eight weeks and so the first go around I taught something that I wanted to teach and I got it approved.
-
I did that and the second time I I was gonna preach on the Holy Ghost.
-
I wanted to teach all about the Holy Ghost and Brother those thing called me.
-
He said, john, I see glad you're teaching in family life Institute.
-
Listen, john, I want you to teach on redemption.
-
People need to know about redemption.
-
I Said, well, I'm your, you know I Serve at your discretion.
-
Whatever you want, it's what I'll do.
-
I Mean I wanted to teach on the Holy Ghost, but if you want me to teach on, really, yeah.
-
He said I've got a six, six series, six tape series that I preached in the 70s.
-
He said, john, I apologize in advance when you hear this, I don't do this anymore.
-
I'm hollering in there a whole time.
-
What he was talking about was he was pretty, he preached redemption for six weeks.
-
It was so good.
-
I Mean pretty, I love teaching, but he preached, taught it.
-
You know how brother mark does he preaches and teaches at the same time.
-
That's what brother those thing did.
-
Of course he, as he got older, he, he got more relaxed and and he quit jenning himself up and getting all excited and and so he didn't after the heart surgery, just didn't have the physical strength anymore to do that.
-
And so he said I, you know it, you, you listen to that and and you listen, and and I advise you to look at a book, the Bible and light of our redemption, by EW Kenyon.
-
And I was familiar with EW Kenyon.
-
I had some of these books.
-
I didn't have that particular ones.
-
I got that one and I read that book and that's where I got the legal and vital out of.
-
Everybody say legal and vital, so you need to know the difference, because what is legal is not necessarily going to come on you.
-
You have to contend for it.
-
You have to receive it by faith and patience.
-
And we already know that faith is not just in your head.
-
You've got to get that down in your spirit.
-
You meditate on what belongs to you, you get it down in there where you, if somebody beats you into a greasy spot in the middle of the parking lot, the greasy spot would say I'm redeemed by the precious blood of Christ.
-
That's how it's got to be in you, and Then you won't allow the devil to steal, you won't allow the devil to take from you what belongs to you.
-
And so here we are.
-
What are we?
-
$25 worth of dirt and chemicals.
-
Maybe it's 50 by now.
-
Probably 50 Inflations hit.
-
So we may be.
-
We're $50 worth of dirt and chemicals.
-
And yet God looks on us, even this earth and vessel.
-
He looks on us as his Sanctuary, as his temple.
-
He bought us with a precious price.
-
There's nothing like the blood of Jesus.
-
How much blood was in his body?
-
I don't know, I'm not a doctor.
-
But a few pints of blood that was shed, not spilled, shared, spilled is something that have an accident.
-
It spilled, no, his blood was shed and there's none like it.
-
There's no more ever gonna be like it.
-
That's pretty valuable.
-
You've got to esteem what he did and that way your self-esteem it's not self-esteem, it's just honoring what God did.
-
Then you won't allow somebody to appreciate what God did.
-
You won't allow somebody to talk down to you and take all of your self-confidence away.
-
When I say self-confidence, you know what I'm talking about.
-
I'm talking about what God has done.
-
No, in ourselves we're not worth much, but we are worth what he paid.
-
Otherwise, we're telling God well, you got gypped, god, in my case, you just got gypped.
-
You got taken for a ride, god, I'm just sorry.
-
I mean, I wasn't worth it.
-
No, you were worth it.
-
He wouldn't have paid it.
-
You were worth it.
-
So act like you're worth it and take care of God's property.
-
Are you getting anything out of this?
-
So the devil just wants to lord it over.
-
You See, if you're God's temple and you are, everybody say I am God's temple what the devil thinks you're his temple.
-
To Matthew 12, jesus said when the unclean spirit has gone out of a band, that spirit seeks rest, goes into dry places, seeks rest, finds none.
-
And then that demon says I know, I'll go back to my house from whence I came.
-
And he comes back to his house where he used to live.
-
He'd been cast out.
-
He comes back to his house and he finds it what Empty, swept and garnished.
-
And he enters into that house and brings seven more wicked than himself and takes up residence where he once was gone.
-
I've seen that work.
-
It's pretty horrible.
-
I said it's pretty horrible Because when you turn your back on Jesus and go back to where you came from, go back to the world I mean you know backslide you know God can forgive you and restore you.
-
But you know, if you don't, if you live there for very long.
-
You might get to the place where you don't ever come back.
-
You get to the place where you deny the Lord that bought you.
-
Are you with me now?
-
So the devil thinks and so you know that's another aspect of sickness and disease that devil thinks that you're his house and he can't come all the way back in.
-
But he'll come back in your knees and give you arthritis.
-
He'll come back in your hand.
-
He'll come back, you know.
-
He'll come back in your mind and give you tormenting thoughts and you know all kind of stuff like that.
-
Don't let him do it.
-
Stop him right now.
-
And the best way to do that is to stay full of the Holy Ghost.
-
Ephesians 5, 8, 10, you know, b, b, b.
-
It says B filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
That word B means B being filled.
-
Or in the linguistic key to the Greek New Testament.
-
You can buy it too.
-
It's only 10 bucks.
-
It'll book on Amazon, amazon you buy it from.
-
Well, you know, I guess I could find a Christian bookstore somewhere, but Amazon will have it on my door tomorrow, see, and I got a dear friend of mine that's, you know, is executive of the Amazon.
-
So I still do business with him.
-
But anyway, it means to be continually and habitually filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
Well, pastor, I was filled with the Holy Ghost 40 years ago, I know, but you need to be filled and filled again.
-
I like what, marilyn Hickey.
-
We need to be filled again because we leak when you give out.
-
See, when you give out, you expend an anointing.
-
You need to receive that back.
-
You need to receive it back.
-
I mean, that's the thing about me.
-
I'm giving out this morning.
-
Well, I've got to spend time this week and receive back.
-
I've got to get in my Bible, I've got to do my prayer and I've got to receive back.
-
Because I'm expending, I'm giving out, I'm giving out, and I know preachers that just go play golf and they have this and they have this meeting and that meeting and they've got this board meeting and blah, blah, blah, and they're just dry as a burned out forest.
-
What have they got to give you?
-
I want to make sure what I give you is the Holy Ghost.
-
So be full of the Holy Ghost.
-
John 15, 7 last week.
-
Be full of the Word.
-
If you abide in me and my Word abides in you, let it abide in you.
-
Full of the Word, full of the Spirit Ephesians 4, 27,.
-
Give no place to the devil.
-
See, the devil can't take a place in you.
-
He looks for openings.
-
I said he looks for openings.
-
Sometimes it's just a wrong thought that brought a wrong word out of your mouth.
-
Maybe you're saying the wrong thing, maybe you're not, maybe you're working against the redemption You're wonderful covenant that you have.
-
So the bottom line is the battleground is in your mind.
-
We're bombarded with the God of this age.
-
Right now there are churches that started out being Maybe they were denominational churches.
-
Some of them are non-denominational but they really don't have the kind of fatherhood that I had.
-
I appreciate my spiritual lineage and what I have I didn't get of myself.
-
I sat under these, of course, mainly Brother Osteen, my pastor, but others Such a rich heritage of the Word of Faith and I look around at some of these churches and they just turned woke.
-
How can you be a woke church and read the Bible that I read?
-
That's exactly right you can.
-
That means that they never really were on the Word and they really never were.
-
They might some of them said they were spirit filled.
-
Well, that wasn't the spirit they were full of.
-
It wasn't the Holy Spirit.
-
And people are waking up.
-
They're part of these churches.
-
Well, my pastor said that I was a white supremacist.
-
Get out of there.
-
Well, the Lord just has me there to make it.
-
No, he doesn't have you there.
-
You have you there.
-
You're lazy and you don't wanna go out and contend for what's right.
-
You wanna get along, go along, go along, get along.
-
You've got your ties there for 30 years and you don't wanna leave it.
-
You have ownership and you think in your mind that something will change.
-
No, it won't change, it'll get worse.
-
And how can you listen?
-
It'd be like having a water well in your house that you're drinking water out of.
-
In the water well, it's always a wonderful water well.
-
We've used it for 25, 30,.
-
We've drilled it ourselves.
-
You know it's wonderful.
-
It's wonderful.
-
And you have it.
-
Tessa's got arsenic and lead and everything.
-
It's poison.
-
You're drinking poison from a poison.
-
Well, get out of there.
-
I don't know who this is for.
-
Maybe somebody watching my live stream.
-
Quit making excuses for this kind of evil.
-
That's what it is.
-
It's evil.
-
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride, ergoncy and every evil work.
-
That's the fear of the Lord.
-
And when you part of a church that doesn't fit that bill, get out and get to a place that does fear the Lord.
-
So be full of the Holy Ghost and the devil tries to blind your mind.
-
He'll get you to think thoughts and opinions and speculative.
-
That's what the God of this age is in 2 Corinthians 4.4.
-
The God of this age blinds the mind.
-
He can blind your mind if you let and you eat that and you let that in and you think about it.
-
I've seen it.
-
People that used to come right here started listening to this Black Lives Matter junk.
-
That's not about Black Lives, it's about Marxism.
-
They don't give a rip about Black Lives or any other lives, just their lives.
-
That's what they care about.
-
They don't care about that.
-
See, if they get involved in that and they get involved in this, george Floyd, I've seen it.
-
I've seen them leave the church.
-
They got infected with the God of this age.
-
That's what it is.
-
Defund the police, god of this age.
-
Look, how's that working in San Francisco at Pelosi's house?
-
Oh, they blame the Republicans.
-
Oh, yeah, well, that's convenient.
-
Yeah, it's because we talk so mean.
-
How stupid.
-
The guy is a nut job and it was a friend.
-
There's more to this story.
-
We're not.
-
They're not reporting all of the whole facts of this story, but I can assure you he was not a Republican, he was not a Christian fundamentalist.
-
Amen, all right.
-
So the God of this age?
-
So all these thoughts, opinions, speculations, hopes, impulses, aims, maxims, slogans, global warming, all of that Green energy, it's a bunk, a bunch of bunk.
-
It's not science.
-
Covid, the COVID response, was part of that same thing.
-
It had nothing to do with science.
-
I meet people almost every day and they're saying the same thing, but they didn't speak up like we did.
-
You need to speak up.
-
So, in your mind, if you start listening to all of what the spirit of this world has to say, you become curse minded, you become expecting the worst.
-
Well, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
-
Well, you know, it's Murphy's law.
-
Oh well, I'm just a victim.
-
See, victimhood.
-
See, victimhood is the biggest thing They've got the Democrats.
-
Without victimhood, they wouldn't even have a party.
-
We're gonna fix you, you poor victim.
-
But they've got more victims than they've got money.
-
Are you with me now?
-
Well, I'm just excluded.
-
You know, if you start thinking that you are a victim, or you start thinking that people are mistreating you or that people are not treating you right.
-
The devil is working on you, see, change your attitude.
-
See, sometimes people don't treat you right.
-
Well, forgive them and love them.
-
Bake them a cake.
-
He calls a fire on their head.
-
All right, so Some of you need to get busy baking.
-
I can tell you that Not for me, but I don't.
-
I'm not worthy.
-
Well, it's just in.
-
It runs in my family, just runs in my family.
-
Quit saying that that's gonna bring the curse.
-
No, you've got a new family.
-
You've got a new sovereign.
-
You've been named with them.
-
You're in the family of God.
-
You've been named with the name of Jesus, amen.
-
And then you've got the other side.
-
Well, it's always been my dream, it's always been my ambition.
-
I see them all the time, not all the time.
-
Frequently, people come to the church and they think that this church and this ministry is here for them to get their ambition met.
-
No, it isn't.
-
I have a vision.
-
I have a mandate, in fact, numbers of mandates.
-
That's what I'm focused on.
-
I'm not focused on what.
-
If you wanna come in here and help me get done what I need to do, that's the proper thing to do.
-
It's not proper for you to think that I'm gonna all of a sudden just stop what I'm doing and I'm gonna help you do what you do.
-
No, that's not.
-
You got it all backwards and people like that can't build a church.
-
On people like that we're building a mighty church.
-
God is in.
-
The gates of hell shall not prevail, amen.
-
I mean people that are lusting for title and position without any kind of preparation or accountability.
-
This generation, the newest generation, is one that is entitled.
-
They have a spirit of entitlement.
-
In this generation that has to be.
-
Where is that gonna get broken?
-
Right here at Glorious Way Church.
-
We're gonna break that off of you because that's a curse.
-
When you have that attitude, god cannot bless you.
-
You're bound to be cursed, you're gonna get.
-
That's not humility, that's not faith in patience.
-
You don't deserve anything.
-
Well, I deserve better.
-
No, you don't deserve anything.
-
You deserve hell.
-
I deserve hell, but I'm not gonna get that.
-
I deserve hell, but I'm not going there.
-
Thank God, jesus went there for me.
-
I've been redeemed from going there.
-
I'll never go there, not because I don't deserve to, but because he went there for me.
-
See, that's a whole different ball game there.
-
So get deserve out of your vocabulary because we don't deserve Deserve's not part of it.
-
All right, one more thing.
-
We'll close up on this Second King six.
-
I think we ought to turn there.
-
I love this.
-
We're gonna close with this Second King six.
-
This is Elisha the prophet, and it's a type and shadow of our redemption.
-
In an Old Testament we have types and shadows.
-
In the New Testament we have the substance.
-
So second King six, he's with the sons of the prophets and it says in verse four Elisha.
-
So he went with them, the sons of the prophets.
-
He went with them and when they came to Jordan they cut down wood, but as one was filling a beam, so they were cutting down a sizable tree and it was gonna be the beam of this structure they're gonna build.
-
As one was filling a beam, the axe head fell into the water and he cried and said a last master, for it was borrowed.
-
Now get this picture.
-
Say this is an axe, this is a piece of iron, this is way back, man, this is you.
-
Don't go down to academy or to the hardware store and buy an axe.
-
I mean, there's nobody if you've got an axe.
-
Somebody took iron and put a hot fire and they hammered that thing into a tool that they could use to cut down a tree.
-
That didn't happen overnight.
-
That's a real big project.
-
It's worth a lot of money.
-
And they put that on a stick and then the guy is cutting the tree down with this iron and it flies off the handle and goes into the lake and sinks.
-
Alas, master, it was borrowed.
-
Now it's even doubled because they gotta pay for it.
-
They gotta figure out a way to pay back what they lost.
-
So what did the prophet do?
-
The man of God said where did it fall?
-
Where is it?
-
He showed him the place and he cut down a stick and cast it into the lake and the iron did swim.
-
Everybody go like this.
-
The iron did swim.
-
Now see, this is the top and shadow of our redemption, you see, because we were that axe head and we were lost in the mire of sin.
-
We were submerged in the lake of this world, submerged, lost, and Jesus took on the cross, that wood, that ignominious death on the cross, and he lived his life in our environment.
-
He went down in that lake, he went down to hell, where we were.
-
He went down there for three days and three nights and he redeemed us and the iron did swim.
-
Oh, glory to God, we're doing nothing but swimming.
-
Now We've been raised out of that place, oh, by the precious sacrifice of the blood of Jesus, by the cross of Jesus Christ, hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
So faith in the finished work of the cross, that's redemption, brings manifestations of the blessings.
-
Come on, lift your hands and receive.
-
We've been redeemed from the curse.
-
How many redeemed people are here?
-
Come on, let's shout a little bit.
