  1. Praise God, let's wave our Bibles around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

  2. Let's say this together say heavenly father, I'm glad to be here tonight in this.

  3. It's atmosphere, supernatural atmosphere, as ideal for me to receive revelation, reminders of what I know, some fresh that meet for what I don't know, all in the interest of feeding my faith, developing my spirit in Jesus name, amen.

  4. Let's look at Hebrews, chapter 10, and we're gonna talk tonight, we're gonna have a message entitled the faith life.

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  5. The faith life.

  6. And this is information you, many of you, know already, but it's good to have a refresher, reminder.

  7. And Then Sometimes we hear things differently and we get revelation of something we hadn't realized.

  8. Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 35.

    Hebrews 10:35

  9. It says cast not therefore away your confidence or your all outspokenness, which have great recompense of reward More.

  10. If it's ever time for us to lift our voices and be bold, it's right now, for you have need of patience that, after you've done the will of God, you might receive the promise For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come and will not tarry Now.

  11. The just shall live by faith, and so he's quoting their Habakkuk the just shall live by their faith, not by grandma's faith or mama's faith, but your faith.

  12. The just shall live by faith.

  13. But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

  14. But we are not of them who draw back under perdition, but of them which believe to the saving of the soul.

  15. Now, faith is a substance of things, hope for the evidence of things not seen, for by it, that is, by faith, the elders obtained a good report.

  16. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God.

  17. So the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear Verse 6.

  18. But without faith it is impossible to please God.

  19. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who who diligently seek him.

  20. So the just shall live by faith.

  21. Verse 38, chapter 10.

  22. Ours is the faith life.

  23. That's the life we, when we got saved, that's the life we've challenged to live.

  24. We're living by faith.

  25. We live, but not by how things seem, not by how things look, but we live by faith, amen, the life that continually pleases God.

  26. You know, without faith it's impossible to please God.

  27. So if you live a life of faith, you're living a life that pleases God.

  28. Just think about that I've been.

  29. You know I've been to quite a number of countries and there's a lot of false religions in the countries that I've been to Islam, hinduism, and some of them worship the Sun, some of them worship sticks, they Worship statues made of mud.

  30. I mean, you know, and all of that is is a Trying to please a God.

  31. You know that they don't understand, they can't see.

  32. They're trying to please him.

  33. This is why they throw their babies in the Ganges River, sacrifice to demons.

  34. This is why they do a lot of things they do.

  35. They're trying to please God.

  36. Listen, when you live a life by a faith, you're pleasing God.

  37. God is pleased.

  38. So you know, israel turned back and limited God saw him 78.

  39. They turned back and limited the Holy One of Israel.

  40. You know you can limit God by walking According to your emotions, according to how you feel, according to what it looks like, feels like, seems like that can Cause you to limit God in your life and he's not pleased by that type of life.

  41. Amen, I Mean.

  42. You know we were talking about Changing sovereigns this morning.

  43. You know we, you know the devil, was our sovereign to begin with and then, when we got born again, we were moved out of that sovereignty into the sovereignty of God.

  44. Jesus became our Lord.

  45. Amen Delivered from the power, authority, jurisdiction, control of darkness, translated into the kingdom of his dear son.

  46. So he's our sovereign now.

  47. So you know, we all, we all don't want to please him.

  48. You know, the children of the devil love to do what the devil tells him to do.

  49. They serve the devil day and night.

  50. They invent evil things to do.

  51. There's nothing too wicked, there's nothing too sick, there's nothing too violent, there's nothing too grizzly.

  52. They just think of the most awful things to do, and they do it in the name of their God.

  53. What?

  54. Let's do something in the name of our God.

  55. Let's live by faith, the faith life.

  56. Let's look at Isaiah 28 and Verse 13.

  57. So this is the prophet talking about Israel.

  58. And he said but the word of the Lord was under them.

  59. That is Israel, precept upon precept, precept upon precept.

  60. See, he said it again, the double enunciation of God that just kind of doubles down on it.

  61. That's what's called the double enunciation of God.

  62. Simon, simon, satan has desired to sift you as wheat.

  63. Saul, saul, why persecute us, thou me?

  64. See the double enunciation of God.

  65. So it's line upon line, precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line.

  66. Hear a little, there, a little, that they might go and fall backward and be broken and snared and taken.

  67. Wow, that's kind of harsh.

  68. So God knew that they would fall backward.

  69. Now have no excuse, because he doubled down on what he showed them.

  70. He showed them, he showed them a precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line.

  71. Hear a little, there, a little.

  72. And they still fell backward.

  73. They drew back and they were scattered through the whole world and in our generation.

  74. 1948 was the beginning of the regathering of the children of Israel and in fact I was just reading this in Jeremiah.

  75. He said I will gather them from the North country.

  76. Do you know what's directly north of Jerusalem, moscow?

  77. I mean, just draw a line through North and those Russian Jews have come back to their home like homing pigeons.

  78. It's amazing.

  79. That's why Israel is so fouled up in their government.

  80. They got a bunch of liberals, they've got these ex Marxists and they bring that socialism, that Marxism, from the North country back to Israel and they're just hard to deal with.

  81. They're hard to get along with, even if they and there are very few of them are people of the book.

  82. They're just, basically, they're Jewish, but they're not people of the book.

  83. So they come in there and they don't mingle that well with the people of the book.

  84. So you have this constant fighting and infighting and all that.

  85. But he said that they would fall backward, that they might go and fall backward.

  86. That sounds harsh.

  87. But no, god had a plan of redemption.

  88. He's got a plan of redemption for us.

  89. We've been redeemed.

  90. Well, guess what?

  91. All of Israel shall be saved.

  92. So don't feel too sorry for them.

  93. They're gonna come back around.

  94. They're gonna see their brother.

  95. They're gonna have tears.

  96. They're gonna be just like Joseph and his brothers.

  97. That's how it's gonna be.

  98. So many today do as Israel did.

  99. But in Romans 1.17, we're supposed to go from faith to faith.

  100. Second Corinthians, 3.18, we're supposed to go from glory to glory.

  101. Verse 38, you know he says if you draw back, god has no pleasure in you.

  102. Second Timothy 4, paul told Timothy, demas has forsaken me.

  103. Having loved this present world, he fell backward.

  104. Demas was a right hand to Paul, the one who wrote three quarters of the New Testament.

  105. Can you imagine somebody that used of God?

  106. He was an assistant, he took care of everything on his journeys.

  107. He was a confidant, he was his traveling partner, and then one day he says well, I'm going back to the world, having loved this present world, and so if we're gonna live the faith life, we have to cross the faith line.

  108. I call it the faith line, and so it's like Colonel Wigginby Travis in the Alamo in March of 1836, he drew a line in the sand.

  109. How many of you remember that?

  110. He drew a line in the sand in the Alamo and he said you know, if you don't wanna fight with me, we'll just stay on the other side of the line.

  111. If you wanna come and fight with me, we'll use cross this line.

  112. So everybody but one person crossed that line.

  113. They stayed and fought with Colonel Travis in the Alamo against 5,000 Mexican regulars 186.

  114. So you know, guys, bowie, colonel, jim Bowie, the Bowie knife, davey Crockett I don't know if he grimmed a bear down or not.

  115. That's what I grew up believing.

  116. He grinned a bear to death.

  117. He grinned at the bear.

  118. The bear was so disgusted he just fell over dead.

  119. That's what the man said.

  120. I believed him.

  121. When I was six years old I had a coon skin cap and a musket.

  122. I believed it.

  123. My mother took me to see Fess Parker and I also went to see the Alamo with John Lane, all right.

  124. So all but one crossed over and stayed and fought.

  125. See, we wanna cross that faith line.

  126. That line is in the sand and God is wanting people to cross over and actually live by faith.

  127. He doesn't want us to live by emotions, he does.

  128. You know so many Christians, especially right now, after this whole COVID thing and churches leaving.

  129. You know them.

  130. They didn't leave their church.

  131. Their church left them their church.

  132. I mean, I have a compassion for people and they're discombobulating.

  133. They don't know what to do.

  134. I'm reminded of Jesus looking out and he had compassion on the Jews because they seemed as sheep having no shepherd.

  135. That's the way a lot of the church is right now.

  136. I see them on my Facebook page.

  137. They, they're just.

  138. You can tell.

  139. They don't have a shepherd, they don't have anybody teaching them the Word, they don't know the basics.

  140. I feel sorry for them.

  141. No, but one by one, we'll answer one of their questions, or we'll answer one of their, or pray with one of them, or whatever.

  142. One by one, here there, here, a little in there, a little.

  143. Amen About to break.

  144. 13,000 followers Pretty amazing to me.

  145. So here we have in Hebrews.

  146. Go back to Hebrews there.

  147. How many of you are going to stay and fight the good fight of faith?

  148. They've crossed the faith line.

  149. In Hebrews 11, we have the definition of faith.

  150. Faith is verse one the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

  151. The title deed amplified said the title deed.

  152. You know, when you buy a house being a home builder, I went through this process a lot of times and when people signed a contract to buy one of my houses, you know we'd take the earnest money check and the earnest money contract.

  153. Either I took it or the FFF was a realtor.

  154. They took it and they opened title at the title company and so that began the process of transferring the ownership of my house.

  155. It was in my name and it had a loan against it, so there was a lien holder, the bank that loaned me the construction loan, and then now it's going to be the title is going to be transferred to the buyer of the house.

  156. Of course, usually in most cases it's got a mortgage and so that's going to be the new lien holder.

  157. So there's a whole process that the mortgage company has to go through and they have to approve that I have clear title.

  158. Well, they've already done that, or I wouldn't even be able to build a house, but anyway they go back and redo all of that and so you know the new owner.

  159. I mean, they haven't moved in yet.

  160. All they've got is an earnest money contract, a copy of an earnest money contract.

  161. They don't even have the earnest money.

  162. They gave it to me and I don't have that.

  163. It's at the title company.

  164. I used to take it in my own company.

  165. Then they quit allowing me to do that and so I didn't argue.

  166. I said all right, whatever.

  167. So it goes to the title company the earnest money, and the earnest money the title company actually controls it.

  168. If the people don't fulfill the contract and buy the house, then I'm supposed to get the earnest money.

  169. I don't know how many times I've gotten cheated out of earnest money.

  170. I want every one of those earnest monies back in my name.

  171. You know, young people are slippery sometimes.

  172. They know all these little slippery ways to get out of doing what they said they would do when they signed their name.

  173. You know, in the Bible when you sign your name, you signed it in blood.

  174. Now they just use ink.

  175. Disappear again, I think.

  176. But you know, if they go by the house they want to take their friend, oh, come see our house.

  177. Is it their house?

  178. No, it's not their house, it's my house.

  179. In fact it's not even my house, it's the bank's house.

  180. Are you with me now?

  181. But we're used to that.

  182. We're used to saying, hey, have you seen my house?

  183. Oh, look at my.

  184. Hey, come and look at my house.

  185. Hey, would you mind if we go in and show our phone?

  186. No, go ahead and now open the house for them.

  187. They're going and walking and now this is our bedroom.

  188. This, that's not yours.

  189. You haven't paid for it yet.

  190. I'm still paying interest on this thing too.

  191. You, close, are y'all with me now?

  192. So we know how to do this.

  193. I mean, we get as happy about when we've received, by faith, something as we do when it actually shows up in this realm.

  194. It's still out there in the spirit somewhere, but we have what the title deed to it.

  195. I've got the title deed to my final healing of arrhythmia.

  196. I'm as happy right now as I will be when they say oh, mr Griner, you don't have any trace of arrhythmia, you don't even need medication.

  197. I'm happy right now, I don't have to wait for that to happen.

  198. I'm happy today, praise God, all right.

  199. And he said here you know, by faith the ages were completed thoroughly.

  200. They were thoroughly prepared for their intended purposes and it's just amazing how faith your faith framed, or your friend, your, your, your faith can frame your word.

  201. Your faith can arrange things in your life and make everything in order.

  202. Most of the weather phenomenon, most of the the terrible things that happened on the earth today as a result of the fall, it wasn't designed to be that way.

  203. It wasn't designed.

  204. We weren't designed to have cataclysmic earthquakes.

  205. We weren't.

  206. It wasn't designed to have volcanoes.

  207. It wasn't designed to have hurricanes and cyclones and tornadoes.

  208. None of that was in the original plan.

  209. That all came as a result of the fall.

  210. Jesus said I saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

  211. That's when everything, the lights went out and everything just kind of crumbled.

  212. Are y'all with me now?

  213. So in, you know, we just think about, we believe in a God we can't see.

  214. That's why a dollar tree is so evil, because they create a God they can't see.

  215. They try to make and mold something out of sticks and stones and whatever and they call that God, which, a little while ago was it was a tree, or a little while ago was a rock laying over there, and they get over there and mess with it and all of a sudden it's like the soccer ball in the movie Hank's movie.

  216. You know, tom Hanks is an atheist.

  217. You'll pick up the fact he's an atheist.

  218. He never has faith in any of his movies.

  219. He's made so many movies.

  220. There's not one movie he's ever made where he thanks God or blesses God or praise or anything, because he's an atheist.

  221. And so that.

  222. Remember the movie where he crashes in the FedEx plane, you know, and washes up on the shore of this island.

  223. I forgot the name of the movie Castaway.

  224. Huh, castaway, castaway, castaway, yeah, castaway.

  225. So he has the soccer ball with a bloody hand.

  226. He hit the soccer ball and it became his God.

  227. He started talking to that thing, he started talking to a soccer ball.

  228. So that's his way of making fun of you and I.

  229. I just have a little different take on certain things.

  230. I mean, I look at those movies.

  231. I think you know you crumb ball.

  232. If God ever forgot you, you'd drop dead.

  233. One of these days you're going to admit he exists.

  234. You're life to face him.

  235. I hope he gets saved.

  236. I'm not against him.

  237. All right.

  238. So the you know we believe in a God we can't see.

  239. You know, I like first Peter.

  240. He says let's look at it as I'm reminded of the love there.

  241. First Peter, one eight.

  242. Whom, having not seen your love isn't that good.

  243. Whom having not seen you love?

  244. See, we love a God.

  245. We can't see why, because we see him and know him from this, right here, from this, right here, from ingesting this and putting this in our spirit, and we can be in a service like tonight and feel his love for us, and we can't see him.

  246. We don't have to see him.

  247. Y'all getting anything out of this.

  248. Well, that's part of the faith, life, and to believe, you know.

  249. So you must believe that he is and that he's a rewarder.

  250. Don't forget he's a rewarder.

  251. That's what I was seeing, linda.

  252. I was seeing some of your reward.

  253. I couldn't describe it, you know, I wish I could, I wish I could paint, wish I could illustrate.

  254. I don't know.

  255. I just cornucopia.

  256. I don't know it was big, it was just all this stuff, it was flowers.

  257. I don't know, for I don't know what to say.

  258. I mean, it's just things that you love.

  259. He loves you.

  260. He gives you things you love.

  261. You're a reward.

  262. He's a rewarder.

  263. I'm telling you, you've lived the faith life.

  264. You serve him.

  265. You love a God you can't see.

  266. He will bless your socks off.

  267. All of these blessings shall come on you and overtake you.

  268. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.

  269. Follow you, praise God.

  270. Now, you know, I heard Fred Price preach this years ago.

  271. Fred Price, but I miss Fred.

  272. But he had the first 10,000 seat auditorium I ever heard of, heard about out in California.

  273. It was a church in the round.

  274. It was weird looking and I always got nervous when he was on TV every Sunday right before we'd have to leave and go to Lakewood.

  275. And he always made me nervous because I always kind of cringe because he'd make fun of the fat women that were sitting there.

  276. You know, don't make fun of fat people.

  277. You might wind up that way one day.

  278. Don't make fun of anybody in the church.

  279. And just kind of made me feel bad.

  280. But anyway, he was a Bible man.

  281. I'm telling you word of faith, bible teacher.

  282. That guy could teach the Bible and I had a six tape series on this subject Faith, foolishness or presumption.

  283. And so if we're not alert, we could be walking by faith, but actually we think we're walking by faith, but it could be either foolishness or presumption instead of faith.

  284. It looks kind of the same way, and people claim sometimes that they're walking by faith and gonna receive by faith, but it's not really faith, it's something else, it's foolishness or presumption.

  285. And so if it's foolishness, it's trying to believe for something apart from what the Bible says.

  286. Now, you know, the Bible says that you're healed, so it's not foolish to believe for healing.

  287. The Bible says God will supply your needs.

  288. It's not foolish to believe a supply for a need that you have, but then, on the other hand, sometimes not everything that you encounter is in the Word, and so for those things, you need a rainbow Word, in other words, a Word that God speaks to your heart, that tells you that you have that thing that you're warning that it belongs to you.

  289. So, in other words, what I think I mentioned this recently about the woman that showed up at a Bible study when I was just a few weeks old and the Lord claiming that she was gonna claim the house of the builder that I knew.

  290. The guy that built that house, and it was sitting there finished a year already and he eventually lost it to the bank.

  291. The bank foreclosed because he couldn't keep paying the interest and so the bank took the house.

  292. But she didn't have faith to buy that house.

  293. She was trying to get it.

  294. You know that was his house and she said he's not gonna sell that house till I because I claim it.

  295. I claim that house.

  296. Well, that was witchcraft is what that was, and so really that's presumption, because she didn't have a word from God that that house belonged to her.

  297. She never did live there, she never had it, it wasn't hers and she couldn't have afforded it anyway.

  298. And I knew that Her husband's a preacher and I know he didn't make a bunch of money, he's not a rich guy and this is a pretty expensive house, 3500 square foot house, candlelight Hills.

  299. I'll shake you and show you the house.

  300. I know exactly where it is today, all these years later, and I don't know if she had anything to do with tying up his sale, but he never sold it.

  301. Or you stand up and you say oh, I'm just believing for Joe Blow over there to be my husband.

  302. I've been believing for a husband.

  303. I'm gonna claim Joe Blow or Betty Blow as my mate.

  304. Well, you don't have a word that that's him or her.

  305. See, that's kind of.

  306. What is that?

  307. Well, that's just foolishness.

  308. But people do it.

  309. People claim things that are not theirs because, and to do that, apart from a rainbow word, that's foolish.

  310. Are you with me now?

  311. All right, how about presumption?

  312. Well, it's similar.

  313. Presumption is proceeding on mental ascent, or mental mentally.

  314. Maybe the Bible says you can have something like healing, let's just call it healing.

  315. You're believing for healing of cancer.

  316. You've been diagnosed with stage four liver cancer.

  317. The doctor says you've got six months to a year to live and maybe, if you can get some treatment they've got some treatment they can give you some stuff and might be able to extend your life a little bit.

  318. And you say, oh, I'm believing God for my healing.

  319. Well, that's presumption, when you've never believed God for a headache, you've never built your faith one in Iota on anything.

  320. And even if you have, you've never faced terminal cancer.

  321. Cancer explodes in your body and you got to get ahead of it and faith takes time.

  322. So we or do you see what I'm saying?

  323. Presumption, presumpt to presume, yes, well, it's really.

  324. That's kind of got pride involved in it, it's got fear involved because you don't want to go through the who does.

  325. Who wants to go through treatment?

  326. Nobody does.

  327. Nobody wants to have surgery, nobody wants to have chemo, no one wants to have radiation.

  328. But sometimes we do things to give ourselves a little time so that our faith can attack that thing and kill it, because your faith will kill it.

  329. But it takes time and I had a lady one time that I knew to be hypochondriac.

  330. I mean, this woman was a hypochondriac and here she is, a spirit filled Christian, but she's sick all the time, never could do anything, every, I mean, it's always something.

  331. And she got diagnosed with cancer and she wasn't going to go to the doctor.

  332. I said well, I'm going to have to do your funeral.

  333. Then I'm a little bit bold sometimes, you know, sometimes I tend to be that way.

  334. The all outspokenest part I got that.

  335. I got that part.

  336. I said I'm going to have to do your funeral.

  337. What I said you don't have faith to get healed.

  338. You can't stay healed.

  339. In normal times I've never known you to overcome any sickness.

  340. You're just sick half the time or getting.

  341. You're either getting sick or sick or just coming out of sick and you telling me that you're not going to go to the doctor just because you're going to lose your hair.

  342. I said that's not right.

  343. You need to go and do whatever the doctor says to do and do everything you can do to kill that thing and then add your faith.

  344. Well, you're going to have to add your faith to it anyway.

  345. And she did finally get over it.

  346. But she wouldn't have.

  347. I said she wouldn't have why?

  348. Because she's fixing to go off into presumption.

  349. So are you getting anything?

  350. You know this faith life.

  351. So your words and your actions must line up with your faith.

  352. Your words and your actions must line up with your faith.

  353. You can't be saying I have faith for one thing and say something else, but on the other hand, you can't just say it and not believe it in your heart.

  354. You've got to have both of those things going.

  355. You've got faith works by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth.

  356. Either one without the other is not faith.

  357. It won't work.

  358. It's an open circuit.

  359. The light bulb won't shine.

  360. You got to have faith in your heart and that takes work on your part.

  361. You've got to get it down in your heart.

  362. You've got to meditate on the word and meditate on the word that concerns what you're believing.

  363. For I just never cease to be amazed.

  364. Here's somebody who needs healing and they're just majoring on all.

  365. They want to hear everything somebody's got to say about finances.

  366. They'll even go to special meetings just to hear about.

  367. Listen, you don't need a revelation on finances.

  368. What you need is you need to soak yourself in the healing scriptures.

  369. In healing what you need, you need to be meditating day and night on healing, amen.

  370. So you attack the need that you have with the scriptures that apply and your words and actions have to line up with your faith.

  371. You know Raymond T Richie, a great pastor here at the great Evangelistic temple here in Houston.

  372. People used to say that Brother Osteen had a ministry very similar to his.

  373. He had healing in his hands.

  374. Brother Osteen had healing in his hands and assembly God preacher.

  375. I guess his payday was probably around.

  376. In fact, brother Lonnie knew him, admitted and knew him.

  377. But Raymond T Richie said faith is acting on the word, faith is acting on the word.

  378. And of course, smith Wigglesworth said faith is an act, faith is an act.

  379. Faith is an action verb.

  380. Faith is not just believing as an action verb.

  381. There has to be action.

  382. Faith without corresponding action is dead.

  383. So faith is acting on the word.

  384. Faith is an act.

  385. Brother Hagan, I like his word better than the other two.

  386. Faith is acting like the Bible is true.

  387. Faith is acting like the Bible is true.

  388. Now, when you act like the Bible is true, that means you don't have any pity parties.

  389. That means you don't have any whiny pot meetings.

  390. You don't cry, you got your head held up.

  391. Isn't that what Jesus said?

  392. You know, don't be looking like you're fasting.

  393. You know, anoint your head with oil and look and have a smile on your face when you fast.

  394. It Don't be.

  395. And so a lot of people you can tell when they're going through a trial and error just say like this you know Laurel and Hardy, remember Laurel, it's kind of like Laurel.

  396. You know Hardy was the big one, laurel was the little one.

  397. And remember Laurel's face that he like that.

  398. Faith is acting like the Bible is true.

  399. How many of you are willing to cross the faith line and live the faith life?

  400. Come on, lift your hands, receive Hallelujah.

  401. Glory to God.

  402. Did you get anything out of this tonight?

  403. Well, sometimes we've heard these things, and many times over and over, but sometimes we just need to hear them again.

  404. Our job is to keep you full of faith.

  405. Did you get anything out of this tonight?

  406. Amen, all right.

  407. Praise God.
