2023 - The Year Of God's Power 2: "The Power Of Prayer"

Now, if you don't pick your Bibles up, I'm gonna let you rest until we wave our Bibles around.

We're gonna get into the word this morning.

Hallelujah, wave those Bibles, oh Jesus.

Make Jesus glad and the devil mad, didn't you know?

The devil comes to church.

He's a masochist.

He just can't wait to get kicked around.

Let's say this together so, heavenly father, I'm so glad to be here.

You've got my full attention.

I have all of my attention on you and your holy word.

Inspired by your Holy Spirit, I will receive information today that I will bring forth into my life and become a doer of it and bring forth fruit for your glory in Jesus' name, amen.

Let's turn in our Bibles, please.

You can be seated and live stream audience.

You just follow along with us.

Romans, chapter one and Romans chapter eight.

We wanna start with our cornerstone scriptures Romans one, eight, excuse me.

Romans one, 16 and eight, 11.

For I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation To everyone that believe it, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek or to the Gentile.

It is the power of God unto salvation.

The word power there is the Greek word dunamis.

It means supernatural power, not natural power.

It's God's power unto the one who believes.

Unto what salvation?

Which means more than just going to heaven?

That's most important, but it's not the only thing that Jesus bought and paid for.

The Greek word sotaria implies deliverance, preservation, healing, soundness, glory to God.

Everything that you need has already been taken care of, and so it's the power of God, that message, the good news, the gospel is good news.

We don't have bad news, we have good news, good news.

And then in Romans, eight, 11.

But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelling you and he does that, he's not saying if, like it's a question, he's using it as an illustration If the spirit of God lives in you, then he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.

A lot of people just believe preachers, dead preachers, believe that that just means the resurrection from the dead.

No, it's talking about continually makes your flesh alive.

No disease, if you know your rights, no disease can live in your body Because you've got the Holy Ghost and they're quickening or making a life.

And so we've been talking about 2023, the year of God's power.

I started that last week.

It's a prophetic message just as much as I mean it could be.

Thus, saith the Lord and I could prophesy this whole month about what God said to me about this year, but we're teaching it and preaching it.

You know, jesus, he went about teaching, preaching and then healing.

He didn't just heal people, he tried to teach them what the word said.

I'm gonna expound to you why God told me that 2023 is the year of power.

The last week we got into it.

I can't re-preach it, but I did go to Galveston, born from prayer.

I went to pray about the subject of what did God want to say to the church?

If anything, I mean I don't.

I mean, if he doesn't say anything, we're just gonna continue with what we already have, and I pray something like this.

It'd be good for you to pray like this.

You know, lord, cause me to see what I need to see, hear what I need to hear, know what I need to know so I can do what I need to do At all results.

I'm gonna pray like this.

I'm gonna do it At all results.

I'm doing it.

You don't do anything, you're not gonna receive the fullness of what God asked for you.

There's a lot of people that know things but they don't do anything.

They don't do what they know.

There's a gap between what they know and what they do, and that gap is where the devil comes in.

So my job is to close the gap.

Help close the gap.

You have to do the heavy lifting, but I can point some things out.

So it wasn't just a few minutes after I prayed when, in the Galveston, I saw on the side of the street there and some side tracks right by the port, about a hundred locomotives just abandoned there, parked there, not used, and they looked to be serviceable equipment and there were some there that had graffiti on them that had been, you know, looked like they were scrapped, but most of it looked serviceable and I knew it was prophetic.

I knew instantly when I was seeing something.

I'd never seen it before.

I saw a first time event.

I'll talk in a little bit about another first time event I saw this week.

Never saw it before.

I mean God speaking to this generation right now, if we just wake up, we need to wake up.

That's another job of God.

And so as I prayed, I began to meditate on the representation of churches that have God's power but they haven't used it.

See these locomotives.

Each one of them would drag a train, I mean a car, a poem car.

Have you ever sat at a train crossing and watched all those cars go by, filled with all kinds of things, are filled with rocks, gravel, oil, cars.

I mean, they haul a bunch of weight down the track.

And each one of those locomotives, just thousands and thousands of horsepower and they're sitting there going to waste.

And I found out it's all over the country, colorado, utah, all over the country, arizona got a hundreds of them lined up down a track just sitting out there.

And what's the railroads excuse?

Well, it's preserving them there in good place.

No preservation in Galveston.

That's a salt, that thing of rest to a nothing burger in it, just a little while.

It's been there three years.

And well, we've got it there to evaluate and some of them we're gonna sell, some of them we're gonna scrap.

What's all gonna turn to scrap?

What is that?

A wasting of power?

That's what God told Brother Roberts back in 2004.

In my church there is a wasting of power.

Power has been given and it has not been used or it's been misused.

It's been used to build man's houses, man's kingdoms, kingdoms, man's tabernacles, where everybody can get together and worship the man that's sitting up on the platform.

I'm sorry, but that's the truth.

There's very.

What we had this morning is so precious.

I mean, god's presence came down, and why?

Because our attention's on him.

It's not on a personality, it's not on a human.

We're exalting him and magnifying him and singing songs about redemptive truth, not all these dead, world-leaked kinds of songs.

Are you with me now?

So, anyway, and then when I got home, I said, well, god, I'm understanding that.

And he showed me some.

And I went into some of the things that I had seen in my ministry and dreams and visions and things I just take.

I don't have time to go all over that.

So if you weren't here, make sure, make sure you get the media on it and listen to it, because you're not going to be on the same page with Glorious Way Church if you don't, because we're going with what God says.

We're going to get on that and go with it.

Remember, in 2019, when God said on Rosh Hashanah night in September, he said 2020 is going to be the greatest year.

You're going to look back on 2020 and it's going to be the greatest year.

Yet I was up here prophesying that I couldn't believe what was coming out of my mouth.

It's like somebody else was speaking.

Y'all are looking at me kind of strange.

Maybe you're not used to that in church, maybe you're not used to prophecy.

Well, this is an apostolic vine with a prophetic flow.

That's what this is and it you know.

Sometimes God just gives us things so that we can act and do the right thing.

He wants to get us in position for 2023 being the year of God's power on display through the church, through you.

You're the church, and it's going to be not in here so much as it is out there, where it needs to be seen Out.

There is where people need to know God didn't die, that God is still alive, that Jesus is still doing what he always did.

He's the same yesterday, today and forever.

How are they going to ever know if we just have it locked up in here?

We know, oh, yes, sir Woo, but how about them?

Oh, we need to give it.

Put it out there, don't we?

And we have the same power that raised Christ from the dead.

Let's act like it.

Let's know that we've got to be more God inside minded, and so, starting today, now, following up with what last week, I can't go back over everything.

I'd love to just preach it all over again.

It was so much fun preaching it and reliving it for you, but just get it, get it in.

You.

You'll have to listen to it several times and the same with this message.

So this message is about the power of prayer I want to preach the next three weeks.

This week, the power of prayer.

Everything starts with prayer, your prayer, or you pray in, because if you're not praying, you're not going to be able to get what I'm talking about.

It just won't follow on you like a cherry's out of a cherry tree.

Everybody say prayer and next week I'm going to talk about the power of healing and miracles.

This is what's on the offing for 2023.

And then, the last week before Brother Mark and Trina come, the last Sunday of this month, on the 29th, they'll be here.

So the Sunday before that, on the 22nd, my last four messages on 2023, the power, the year of God's power.

I want to wind it up by saying the giving you a teaching on the power to get wealth.

Now I shall remember the Lord by God, for it is he that give it the power to get wealth.

Deuteronomy 818 case.

You didn't know that was in the Bible.

A lot of people don't think prosperity is in the Bible.

That G I put a post on on the other day.

Jesus is a prosperity preacher.

I mean, you know, had a lot of likes, had 500 likes, but I had a whole lot of people that were and I knew that would happen.

Why?

Well, it's not their fault.

They've been lied to.

They've been taught a bunch of religious garbage about who Jesus is and what he preached.

What did you espouse?

The prosperity gospel, I said.

I answered this one.

I said well, I just preached the same gospel Jesus, paul, peter, john and many others preached in the New Testament.

It's good news for the center, for the broke, for the sick, for the demonized.

It's good news for them.

And so you know they.

They come unglued.

Why?

Well, because they just have a religious idea of Jesus.

All right.

So today we're going to talk about prayer, the power of prayer.

So let me read to you the first verse that I like to use in James the Lord's brother, chapter five, verse 16.

And I'm going to read it out of amplified James five, 16, the second part of that verse.

It says the earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man or woman makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.

In other words, when you pray, that is the releasing and the beginning of the releasing of resurrection powers.

No less than God's resurrection power.

It's greater than nuclear power.

It's greater than political power.

It's greater than green energy.

It's greater than any kind of man made power, whatever you can come up with.

It's God's resurrection power that we have on the inside, because we've got him living on the inside.

The Holy Ghost, the same spirit, raised Christ with the dead and when we pray that tremendous power is released toward what it is that we're releasing it All right.

And then Ephesians.

I want you to look at this one, ephesians, when.

Ephesians, chapter three.

This is a Holy Ghost prayer.

The Holy Ghost gave it to Paul for him to pray over the Ephesian church and he put it in the Bible.

God put it in the Bible for us to pray over ourselves and others.

I pray this over myself every day.

Ephesians, chapter one and two.

I pray over myself and I pray chapter three, these verses over myself every day.

I want what it says I can have.

I want what it says right here.

It says I can have it, so I ask God to give it to me All right.

Verse 12, ephesians three excuse me, verse 13,.

Wherefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations, for you, which is your glory?

In other words, paul is arrested.

They love their apostle.

They love he started the book of Ephesians there in Acts, chapter 19.

Acts 19 · chapter mention

That was the start of that church.

He was there and they're upset that he's arrested and it looks like he's not going to be with them anymore and he might be executed, and he was later.

I don't want you to faint, no, no.

I don't want you to faint for what I'm going through.

So for this cause verse 14, for this cause, I bow my knees under the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his spirit in your inner man.

Now let me read that one verse there out of the amplified that I bow my knees to the Father of Lord Jesus Christ that he may grant you, out of the rich treasure of his glory, to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit himself dwelling in your innermost being and personality.

You know some of us need a touch of the Holy Ghost in our personality.

Gladness knows that's true of me.

She knows there's parts of my personality, it's not.

It's kind of hard to like, much less love.

You know, and thank God, she never prayed three times God removed this thorn in my flesh.

She never did pray that, so she stuck with me for 54 years anyway.

No, we can have a.

We can have Holy Ghost personality.

He's inside of us to affect our spirit.

But he can expect he can, he can affect our personality.

Some of you are really looking oh, you're looking kind of shocked, all right.

So Paul prayed this prayer for the Ephesian church for that, so that they wouldn't, you know, be unduly affected by what was going on in his life.

I see lots and lots of Christians that are just stunned at what's going on in our nation.

It's been going on in other nations, but not like America, and what we're seeing right now is just almost unprecedented.

I mean, we've had evil in our nation.

We've had terrible times in our nation.

We've had times of war, times of threats.

You know, in World War II they had rationing of rubber.

You couldn't buy just a set of tires.

You had to make your tires last a long time.

You could.

They ration sugar.

They rationed all kinds of metal things.

I mean, boy, they had to assemble the implements of war in World War II.

We had.

We had to take it out of production.

They quit making cars for five years.

You better make do with the car you had because you ain't going to get another one, not a new one, because they're turning those into tanks, they're turning those into planes, they're turning those into into weapons of war.

Women started working.

Now they couldn't sit at home anymore.

They're they're, they're the custom in America.

We were so blessed and even though we were going through the depression, still women didn't work.

Most women were keepers at home.

We had, we had the mama.

But starting in World War II, mama Rosie the Riveter, anybody know that?

Know about Rosie the Riveter?

I mean, they started working and I think it's changed our whole country for the negatives, because we've lost the matriarch, we've lost the woman who keeps the home together.

I'm not fussing at any of you.

I know most of you do work.

I'm not fussing at you, I'm just talking the big picture now.

I don't believe it was God that we did what we did.

Women ought to be treated with respect and love, but they ought to not have to be out there in the corporate wars doing all that they.

Well, I'm just as good.

Well you may be, but it's not the best.

It's all I'm saying.

I'm not telling you to change anything.

This is the road we're on right now, and so he's praying for them.

And I see people all demoralized because they worked in the political campaigns.

They gave in the political campaigns, they walked blocks, they tried to persuade, they tried to turn out the vote.

They worked in the Republican Party, because the Democrat Party is the party of demons, and some people got out of that and got moved over to a different deal that they're not used to and they're not used to all of it.

But they realized that something is taking over.

The traditional Democrat Party is antichrist.

I'm saying it online.

I don't care what they say, I don't care what they like.

It's the truth.

If you call yourself a Christian and a Democrat, it's impossible you can do that.

It's impossible.

You've got to change something, baby.

You better get with it, because you're supporting murder and you're supporting Just look at the border.

How many people are being trafficked now?

These little children are being trafficked.

They're not talking about that very much, but that's what's going on.

It's worse than slavery.

They want to give a million dollars.

Everybody in California has reparations for slavery.

Where did they come up with a million dollars?

You mean a million dollars, exactly a million dollars.

How did you calculate that?

What if it ought to be a hundred million dollars and you're only giving them a million?

Then you didn't do enough, did you?

When is it gonna not be enough when they give the million out?

When will the million run out?

And it's not enough, and I want another million.

It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

That's what the Democrats are.

They're stupid.

They're so far from God that God has turned them over to a mind void of judgment.

That's Bible right there, whoo.

But this is good news.

See, with us a year of God's power.

We can turn some of this around If we pray and I'm talking about your personal prayer life and also corporate prayer.

We've done a lot of praying.

Has it been in vain?

Absolutely not.

When we pray the will of God, like we often do on Power Hour Plus, we'll have a Sunday night we dedicate to praying, and we did a lot of that during the run up to the 2020 election, and of course we did.

It didn't turn out like we wanted and some high jinks were done.

It's no question that they suppressed the vote.

There's no question that they put their finger on the button and hindered the free flow of information.

They did that during the COVID thing and now we're seeing.

All the truth is coming out.

The chickens are coming home to roost.

To borrow a phrase from a bankrupt preacher Are y'all with me now?

So prayer does good.

Why?

Because we stand for truth and when people resisted, it becomes their judgment, which is what's going on right now.

God is dropping a plumb line and he's separating the sheep from the goats.

He's separating the wheat from the chaff.

He's getting ready to come back for his church, but before he does, we're gonna have a big, big influx of souls.

It's all about the harvest, folks.

Sometimes we get so focused on the negative we can't see what God is really doing.

He is getting us honed in to put in the sickle and reap a mighty harvest.

I mean God.

God's not coming back for a remnant.

I know preachers that believe that they go.

Oh well, we're the remnant church?

We're just.

You know the Bible talks about a, you know a falling away.

This way we're in the falling way.

God's just gonna come back.

Yeah, I just don't believe that.

I know God is the greatest farmer that ever lived.

He knows how to plant a seed and reap a harvest.

He planted Jesus and he's gonna bring many sons under glory, not a few sons.

It's not a remnant church.

It's not a remnant.

He told Abraham look at this.

Stars up there.

It's gonna be as many as stars in the sky.

Look at the dust out there.

Look at the rock as many as the dust.

That's how big your descendants are.

We're all the seed of Abraham in Christ.

I don't accept some little deaky bunch of just a few people with white robes sitting on a mountainside waiting for the raptured.

I don't believe it.

I believe we're gonna have the greatest influx of souls and then Jesus is coming for his church.

We're getting ready for it.

I said we're getting ready for it and this is a key year for them.

It's a key year for that.

So you know, we have that same spirit that raised Christ from the dead.

You know, first, john 4, 4,.

Greater is he that's in us and he that's in the world.

When are we gonna believe it?

I constantly remind myself when I'm coming up against things that look tough, that look like I don't like them, and I said, well, I'm just leaning on the Holy Ghost.

He's putting me over, he puts me over for the victor.

This is the victor that overcome at the world, even my faith.

I believe what God said you preach to yourself.

Like that, I have to.

I have to talk to myself.

I talk to the television, then I start talking to myself.

We have what the John 14, 16 calls the comforter, which I think the comforter is a poor translation of the Greek word paraclete.

Jesus said you know, it's better for you to go away.

If I don't go away, the comforter won't come, but if I go away I'll send it.

Comforter, which you know it's paraclete, and paraclete really is to urge or exhort, like a general does his troops, and I like what William Barkley said in his commentary about paraclete.

It's the kind of comfort and consolation and distress that keeps one on their feet when, if left to themselves, they would collapse.

It enables one to pass the breaking point and not break.

Now, this is the generation the comforter really came for.

I know all the other generations have had trouble, but we have come up to the place where the age, the church age, is about to end.

The day of the Gentiles is about to be fulfilled.

That's the day when whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

And that's coming to a rapid close.

And at that point is pressure.

At that point the devil knows his time is short and with great wrath he is coming and being unleashed against us right now.

We've got to have the paraclete, we've got to have the Holy Ghost, we've got to have that power.

Everybody say power of God.

You gotta have so much power in you that you're just oblivious to anybody criticizing you.

Because why?

Because you're standing on God's word.

You love people, but you're not gonna lie to people and tell people that you agree with them when you don't.

That alone is gonna cause you to be hated.

I mean, you know Steven went out and preached to the Jews and they stoned him.

They told and he told them what they were doing wrong.

He said you persecuted the prophet, you killed every one of them.

And they're like ah, ah, ah, we're gonna have some of that.

Some of these people are gonna grit their teeth and throw things and shoot things at us.

We've got to have the power of God released and prayer is the cornerstone of that ability.

I still think about Chris Kyle, the story of Chris Kyle, american sniper, the movie.

It's kind of got some dicey moments in it but I try to fast forward through the dicey moments just to get to the.

Here's a guy that had 164 confirmed kills in Iraq protecting our troops as a sniper and he went to the Navy SEAL program and he was an older guy and he was not 18, he was older and had already been a rodeo guy and all that kind of thing.

And so here he is and they're trying to wash you out in the SEALs.

They're trying to get you to go ring the bell and go home.

All you gotta do is ring the bell if you wanna go home.

And they demoralize you, they speak ugly to you, they cuss at you and they almost torture you.

Really they.

You go through torture in that Navy SEAL thing.

They torture you to the point of breaking.

That's where we are right now in the church and some are breaking.

My job is to make you strengthen and reinforce with mighty power so you don't break.

You're not gonna break, you're gonna get to the point, but you're gonna keep on standing up.

And so you know, he's on his back, he's got his hands and he's got his legs up and the only thing that's on the ground is just his rear end.

And you know that's hard to do that for a long period of time and he's like that.

He's got a full uniform on big old heavy boots out there and all that, and they're squirting this cold water out in his face.

You're on the edge of hypothermia all the time.

You're in the Pacific Ocean.

Right there in San Diego, they're trying to kill you.

They're not trying to kill you, but they're trying to make you go home.

They don't want.

Anybody can't take it.

When you're a Navy SEAL, you got to go to the point of exhaustion.

You've got to go to the point of ignoring pain to accomplish the mission you're sent on.

These guys are amazing, but anyway, he's in that.

And oh, whoa man, you know, are you about ready to go ring the bell?

How you feeling Kyle?

Right in his face, he can't breathe.

Yeah, yeah, doing all this, whoo, whoo, you know all that kind of thing.

And finally he said how you feel, kyle, how you feeling.

He said I'm feeling dangerous.

Well, that was the third time through the movie that I heard him.

I didn't hear of the first two times.

I watched the movie the third time.

That's what he said.

I'm feeling dangerous.

I'm taking that.

That's mine.

That's my confession.

I'm feeling dangerous today.

I'm feeling really dangerous, dangerous to the devil.

Oh, come on, everybody say I'm feeling dangerous today.

Next time somebody asks you how you feel I'm feeling dangerous.

You know we've done some work in Haiti.

They went through Ike and we went through Ike.

Ike was a category four.

When it went through Haiti, we had it as category two.

We had already gotten rid of Katrina and Rita.

If you all remember Katrina and Rita, we're right here in this sanctuary where we got.

We dispatched those two hurricanes.

Katrina hit New Orleans, rita hit right on the border and the next major one was Ike and I knew I couldn't stop it.

God said there's no place else for it to hit.

You're gonna get some of it in Houston.

You can't stop it.

Why couldn't we stop it?

Why isn't our authority?

Well, because the country of America has shot holes and it's covering and it's protection that God has one nation under God, but we're not under God anymore.

We're shooting big holes in our, and so God he can't restrain some of this stuff because of the sin here.

And you know we were able to turn it.

But this time he let me know and we, you know Ike was bad enough and he spoke to me.

He says well, you know, you think you got it bad.

Why don't you try to help Haiti?

They got it when it was a category four.

It was devastated, haiti.

And so we got involved with Brother Max Manning and we started shipping things over there and food.

And one time we shipped a whole bunch of corn over there.

They planted it and had a crop and we're able to tie it off of the and get them going like that.

2,000 churches over there that follow Brother Max Manning, so we're able to help people through the church.

And one time James and Royce went over there and helped them build a school.

We've been supporting three teachers ever since that teach in this little God forsaken place where before, right after the hurricane, they had the hurricane and then they had earthquake and people.

I mean, they had to leave Port-au-Prince.

It was a complete disaster.

People died in the buildings, the concrete structures there all crumbled because they're not reinforced with steel Just got old, crumbly old concrete.

Well, concrete's not strong at all.

When you shake it, you start shaking something.

It falls apart unless you've got reinforcement.

We've been reinforced with mighty power and the inner man in California they have a lot of earthquakes out there and what they've done to some of the buildings that were built before the technology, because what you have is a wave, the ground is a sinus wave.

It goes like this, it shakes.

I mean there's no way for a building to stay up unless it's reinforced.

And they've gone and retrofitted a lot of the buildings in California with cabling and they cable, they anchor it down and then they anchor these buildings and so when they sway they don't just fall apart, they sway.

It can't keep them from swaying, they go back and forth.

I mean things fall off the shelves.

I mean I wouldn't want to be in a skyscraper with it shaking like that, would you?

But the cabling enables the thing and of course now the modern techniques.

They've got modern techniques to basically allow them to survive this kind of shaking.

But the old time they had to retrofit with cables, steel cables on the outside of the building.

And so we've been strengthened and reinforced with mighty power for the shaking that has already started happening in Hebrews, chapter 12.

Hebrews 12 · chapter mention

It talks about yet once more I shake, not only heavens but the earth also.

That's the shaking that's happening right now.

And God does not want us.

He wants us.

He wants us dangerous.

Come on, he wants us.

Let's be dangerous.

Let's not be weenies, whiny pots.

My tent didn't get, didn't win.

I ran for something and I didn't get it.

You know you're not responsible for the results.

You're responsible for the participation.

You're responsible for the witness.

You're responsible to speak for the truth.

If they don't receive it, it becomes their judgment.

We're to bring people to a place of decision.

That's what we're to do.

And if we don't do that, then we haven't done what Jesus told us to do.

Then we've got some answering to do.

Then Everybody say prayer.

So Psalm 127, I just read that yesterday.

Lest the Lord builds a house, they labor in vain that build it.

If you don't have a prayer life, you're going to build a lot of things in your own blood, sweat and tears that are not God.

They might be good but they're not God.

God didn't tell you, god didn't author it.

I've done there, I've been there.

I built a $650,000 house 5,000 square feet, three stories.

It was the most beautiful house I'd ever built.

But I built it in vain.

Why?

Because God didn't author it and nobody bought it.

I mean, I couldn't sell that thing.

It took after the bank foreclosed on it and took it back.

It took the bank a year and a half.

It was so cursed.

Pastor, you can't be cursed, you're blessed.

I know I'm blessed, but you've got to be blessed by following God's plan.

It's already blessed.

Any other plan opens the door to Satan to steal, kill and destroy.

That's what he did in my life, in my partner's life.

So I've lived it.

I know what it's like when you launch out just without praying and without knowing what God's plan is.

And I'm telling you, this year is a year of God's power.

So prayer becomes paramount.

Your prayer life, everybody say my prayer life.

We're in this stage where we have New Year's resolutions and all that.

I want to dwell on the spiritual side of things.

I'm here to join a gym and all that kind of stuff.

That's all well and good, but without a prayer life it's not going to do you much good.

You have a prayer life.

You get in contact with the one who's got a plan for your life and he's able to bring you into a knowledge of what it is he wants you to do.

If there's something he wants you to do when you have a prayer life, he's able to show you.

He's able to communicate that.

You know prayer is not a begging session.

Prayer is a communication.

Prayer is hanging out with God and in His presence.

You know, healing is not so hard when you get in the presence of the healer.

You spend some time in the presence of the healer.

You're healing on spring forth.

He can whisper little things that you need to change, little things that you need to do.

It can result in your healing.

Some of you looking at me with cross eyes Now don't do that.

Don't that cross-eyed business That'll make you dizzy.

So don't do that.

Everybody say prayer.

I mean you know we, we sometimes.

You know we're silver results oriented.

That's just how we are as Americans.

That's the culture, the true culture of America.

It's being perverted, it's being stolen, it's being lied about.

Right now we're importing all of these illegal aliens and many of them are criminals.

Many of them are drug dealers.

Many of them are gang members.

Many of them not all of them, but many.

I'm not saying all, I'm saying many.

I'm not saying all.

All are.

You know that's not right.

I'm not saying all, I'm saying many.

And we have no way.

Here on one side we're saying China, you can't, you can't come to America without a COVID test.

And down here in the Southern part of the state, they're coming across the border with no kind of tests.

They're coming sick, they're coming with a bubonic plague, they're coming with all kinds of diseases we got rid of a long time ago and they're bringing that stuff right across our border.

How is that allowed by design?

What is our answer?

Well, we're feeling dangerous.

First of all, I'm not afraid of any disease.

I don't care.

I'm not afraid of COVID, I'm not afraid of flu, I'm not afraid of bubonic, I'm not afraid of anything they're bringing, because I know Jesus has redeemed me from all sickness.

But that's you know again, we need to speak what's right, we need to stand for what's right.

Our rights are being stolen from us.

Are you with me now?

So prayer, you know, you have to find out.

It didn't say the house wouldn't be built.

It said it was be built in vain.

There's no credit for it.

It's not a blessing.

Even though that was the prettiest house I'd ever built, I had a certain amount of satisfaction walking through it.

But when I realized that God wasn't in it and buyer after buyer would buy, they'd come and look at that house and I'd be there and I'd get to make my pitch.

I'd get to talk to them with the realtor, which is hard to do In the hoity-torty neighborhoods of West U.

You don't ever get to talk to the buyer until they sign the contract.

The realtor is real jealous and zealous of their customers.

They certainly don't want to talk to that builder, that builder kid.

And so I had a hard time ever communicating my side of the story to a prospective customer, but three different times I got to do it and they bought another house somewhere else and I thought, wow.

And then I just, you know, after I got in touch with God and I found out what I was supposed to do start a church, start this church, amen.

Well, you'd think that the house would sell after I admitted.

Well, it didn't.

The bank took it, foreclosed on it, my company went, my partner's money went, a lot of damage, a lot of hurt.

But you know what?

We never looked back.

Three weeks later we had our first service in this, in this in, in, not in this building.

In the other building we had our first service and we never have looked back.

I mean, we got in the will of God.

God redeemed all the trouble that happened.

It was so heavy.

It was weighing on me.

It was it was weighing me down.

And how did I get through it?

Prayer, I didn't collapse.

I got in touch with a mighty power that had strengthened me and my inner man.

I didn't let it destroy my confidence.

I didn't let let it tempt me into turning my back on my call.

Are y'all with me now?

Everybody's got a piece of the action coming up here, everybody, and it's under the sound of my hearing, every single one of them.

There's no big eyes and little use.

You all have a part to play and you're going to discover what that part is by prayer, getting hanging out with him and coming to church.

When you come to church, this, this heaven opens and God is able to communicate through the preaching, sometimes without even me saying anything.

I've had people come up to me after the service.

You know, pastor, when you said this, this and this I said.

I don't remember saying that.

I can't find it in my notes.

It's all between my lips and their ears.

They heard what they need to hear Supernatural hearing.

It happens over and, over and over.

That is the atmosphere where the Holy Ghost moves.

You can hear what you need to hear.

That happened to me at Lakewood church.

Numbers of times.

Everybody say supernatural hearing.

You have to have a prayer life.

If you don't have one, get one.

Well, pastor, I have to get up so early.

We'll stay up later, then Pray at the end of the day or get up earlier.

Now I'm a morning person.

I discovered that morning was my better time to hear from God.

I tried praying at night and I, just after a certain period of time at night, I just ready to go to bed and I don't.

I'm kind of dull, as you know, and I don't do well and I have to pray at night.

I do better praying in the morning and there were times there, especially right before we started the church.

I had to.

I was working for another builder.

I signed a contract my company to work for his company and fill in some things that he needed.

Fill it in, and I got a little money that paid a few of my bills at least, and I'd have to get up at six and leave the house at six o'clock.

So how am I gonna pray?

I got up at 430 and did some praying before I left the house.

That means I better get to bed, you know, and get a little sleep.

You know you can't just go off with no sleep.

You can do whatever you decide you can do.

You're in charge.

You can pray at.

Brother Hagin was a night person.

He liked to pray at night.

He would lay in bed after the lights were off.

His wife is laying there and he's praying on his side of the bed.

He's doing his prayer.

I say I can't do that.

I lay on my side of the bed and go to sleep.

But he would sleep in the next day.

He was he liked to sleep late.

I don't know why.

Don't throw rocks at brother Hagin Just cause he likes to sleep late.

He was not a morning person.

I don't know how that is, but whatever it is, you adjust your schedule to make time for a prayer time Hanging out with God.

Intimacy.

Prayer is not begging, prayer is praising, prayer is thanking.

Now, I gotta see this now while I'm on the subject, and we'll move on with the service.

I don't wanna go on and on today.

How many of you are gonna get these messages and get them into you now?

I mean, you know they're podcasts.

You can get the podcast you can get.

You know, we've got them at the on still.

I think we still have DVDs, but you can have the high tech version with a podcast but get these messages in you.

So, first time things.

I'd never seen locomotives sitting there like that.

It was the first time thing.

I'd never seen that.

All the years I've been going to Galveston I'd never seen it.

I never was drawn attention to it.

It was the first time, so it was prophetic, and so God gave me this interpretation.

When I got home, I said okay, god, what does all that have to do with this year?

I took a nap on Friday, the 30th of December, just two days for the new year, and when I woke up I had this.

I heard it in my spirit 2020, the year of God's power, and then I saw the connection.

So hence what we're preaching it's a prophetic interpretation of events.

All right, so we had new years.

So then on Monday this last Monday, that would have been the second there was a football game I wanted to watch.

I'm a big on football.

I like football.

I boycotted football in 2021 because of all the kneeling and the you know just the horrible things that I heard.

Even Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are two of my favorite commentators.

They said some things that I wanted to throw something through the TV at.

Shut up.

You don't know what you're talking about.

You goofball, just stick with a ball game and don't talk about anything else.

I just can't stand it with these guys.

Do that.

It's a misuse of their platform.

They should not be allowed.

They ought to be fired.

And so they steal a perfectly legitimate way of I mean, I don't get to do a lot of things.

There's not a much time for me to go golf.

I'd like to play golf, but I don't have time to play golf and I just don't want to spend that long.

And if you play golf, hey, it's fine.

I'm not trying to get you not to play, just for me.

I get aggravated at golf.

I'm not any good at it.

So then I get mad.

I want to throw my club.

See, I want to avoid that.

I want to bend the club over my, you know, and that's expensive, plus it hurts your leg so I don't play.

But anyway, I like to watch football and I.

I did boycott them and I finally did 2022.

I thought, well, it's not doing anybody any hurt, but me I'm not.

That they don't even know I'm not watching.

Don't look so innocent.

I know you've gone back on your.

You ground your kids and then you unground them after you get so aggravated that all their wine and crying they throw a temper tantrum.

Okay, darling, you can have the doll here.

They're screaming and kicking and everything else.

You give them the doll Anyway.

So I'm prepared to watch, and Gladys was too.

We're both watching the Buffalo Bills and the who was it?

Cincinnati Bengals and two really good quarterbacks that I followed.

Both of these quarterbacks are really good.

Joe Burrum I watched him wreck his knee and come back from that wreck knee.

Amazing kid played at LSU.

I wish we would have had him at 8M, but we didn't.

All right, so.

And then Josh Allen a big old guy, man, 6'5", 240, I mean huge runs like the wind Quarterback for each of these teams.

It's gonna be a really good game.

They're playing in Cincinnati and you know, typical deal everybody's all hyped up ready for this game.

It's gonna decide the playoff picture.

Playoff's are coming up next and then football is gonna be over After the Super Bowl.

Football's over and I have to do without it.

Well, why don't you watch soccer?

Well, I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for soccer.

Unless my grandkids are playing, then I'll watch it.

Other than that, I would never.

How about the World Cup?

No, thank you very much.

Anyway, not just a football guy, I don't like basketball that much.

I watch track before I watch, anyway.

So I'm off the subject.

So in the first quarter, this young man, defensive back for Buffalo Bills, daymar Hamlin.

He was a name that nobody had heard of.

I'd never heard of the kid.

He's just been playing a short time.

He was drafted in 2019.

And he came and started in the defensive backfield.

I don't know if he's a corner.

I think he's a safety.

I'm not sure if it's a safety or a corner he's, I don't know.

He could play either one, I'm not sure which position, but in the defensive backfield and he came up to make a tackle on Cincinnati's wide receiver.

The wide receiver kinda lowered his helmet and hit Daymar Hamlin in the chest, but he wrapped him up and made the tackle got popped right up.

You know he wasn't hurt and it wasn't that vicious a hit.

I've seen much worse.

Helmet to helmet, I've seen all kinds.

I've seen wrecked knees, wrecked ankles, horrible.

That press scot man.

I saw his ankle get.

Oh, it was nasty to see what his ankle just went all the way over, just rolled it all the way to the insides, nasty, dead, tear, everything.

And he came back.

See these guys, they suffer and you see that type of injury.

I've seen people hit and have paralysis.

I've seen, you know, all kinds of things, you know.

But that night that kid hit and made the tackle popped right up and he walked back and then he fell back and I saw it and they replayed it several times until they found out what was going on because he had a cardiac arrest right there on the field.

He died.

He was dead.

And so immediately the guy that was close to him and I don't know which team he started furiously motioning to the sideline get out here, get out here.

Right now Another guy, big old lineman, 70 something, number, 70 something, out again.

I didn't pay attention to the uniform.

He was on his knees with his head bowed and his hands like this, instantly praying, and I saw these guys.

As it unfolded, it became aware.

You became aware that it was serious, because they said we got a report that they're giving him CPR.

They're hitting his chest real hard.

And so Joe Buck the same guys that I got mad at we're doing the game that night and so well, this is a really serious thing.

This is something I've never seen.

They're giving him CPR.

That means his heart stopped beating.

I've never seen that.

Troy Aikman said I've never seen it.

Now, troy Aikman, he went to the Super Bowl twice.

He's Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

He's been playing all of his life at a high level college, high school, junior high, pee Wee, whatever.

He's never seen what happened.

He's never seen somebody die on the field.

They didn't use the word die, but they were somber, the players were crying, the stands were stunned and this is the opposing team that's got this injury.

Suddenly, this important game was no longer important.

Suddenly, the life and death struggle that's going on on the television screen I'm watching it live and they're going back and they're trying to say all these things.

They're trying to keep the interest on the TV going and they're going and just like.

It's like what they do when there's a car chase or when there's a standoff, and like a standoff in spring the other day, they just keep saying the same things over and over.

Well, that's what they.

I feel sorry for the TV people.

What are they supposed to?

They all said.

Every one of them said I've never seen this before.

We just own uncharted territory.

We don't know what to do.

All I know is this is a life and death and we need to pay attention to them.

Or Hamlin I still can't remember his name because I've never heard of him before.

Suddenly, he's a household name across the entire country.

So they kept saying there was, you know.

As best we can do is we just need to pray that things will.

And then they started talking about prayer.

I saw people praying, I saw the, and so the team from Buffalo huddled around him to hide what they were doing, cause it was pretty brutal.

They I found out later that they did use the defibrillator and that they did intubate him on the field, put a breathing tube in, hooked him up and they got his heart beating and they sent him to the hospital.

They basically raised him from the dead.

But God did it.

God answered a whole bunch of people's prayer.

They were praying in the stadium they were praying.

In fact, dan Orlowski used to play for Houston Texans quarterback.

He was one of the ESPN announcers and you know what he did.

He said you know we talk about thoughts and prayers.

I think we ought to pray for him right now and he went to God in prayer on air.

Never saw that before.

Well, you know they didn't have any news.

They got him to the hospital A lot of misinformation, as you would imagine.

I heard that they had to resuscitate him again.

They did not.

He only had one resuscitation that was on the field, took about 20 minutes to get him loaded on the ambulance but they had him stabilized and they had him good enough where he could just go right down the road less than half a mile to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and they were waiting on him and he had good care.

But eventually at the end of the week he's off the breathing tube.

He has his normal neuro function.

I don't know if he's out of bed, walking yet, but he seems to be just fine.

He's communicating.

You know what he asked.

He said I thank you everybody for praying.

Please keep praying for me.

Keep praying for me.

Said that Thursday, so Saturday.

Yesterday is another game, first game that's been played.

Well, there was one earlier in the afternoon.

I don't know what happened to that one, but in this game last night it was between the Nashville Tennessee Titans and who else.

Was it Jacksonville and in Jacksonville, and I've never seen this before in my life either.

Both teams were on the field kneeling together.

They weren't kneeling in protest.

They weren't kneeling in protest to America, they weren't protesting, they were kneeling and thanking God for intervening for their friend's life.

They were praising God down on the field together.

You know, god has a way of humbling people, people that are millionaire.

Most of these players are millionaires.

They've got more money than they ever had in their life.

They're getting to do what they dreamed about doing, since their kids are playing in stadiums that they watched on television.

They're hanging around.

Think about Troy Aitman.

I mean, he's a hero to a lot of guys, very famous guy, and he's doing the commentating.

And he said well, you know, prayer, they're down there praying.

He kept saying the word prayer and praying.

How much it.

I'm so glad it seems to have done some good.

Yeah, done some good.

It made all the difference.

And, of course, you know you gotta praise the medical people.

Well, that's fine, but it was God that did it.

I guarantee you.

They weren't down there huddling around each other praising the medical people.

They were praising God.

That's how quickly God can turn something.

That's how huge.

Listen to me carefully.

This is how huge that God-shaped whole is.

In America, people are thirsting for God.

They're thirsting for the power of God.

They're thirsting for God to manifest himself.

They're tired of all this mess.

I'm a rainbow boy.

I'm a rainbow boy.

They're tired of it.

They hate it.

They want God, they want God's power, they want God's love.

And God's love and power was demonstrated there in that football stadium, not in a church.

They were face to face.

They all got emotional because they saw themselves laying there on them.

They all saw the end of their lives.

They all saw.

You know what?

I could be there.

Except for the grace of God, I could be there, I could be damn more, but I'm not.

I'm alive.

He might not be alive.

He might be dead.

His family wasn't dead.

You know.

He recovered and I expect, if I'll it right now, we just believe that damn more is gonna have a full recovery.

You didn't start something.

You're not gonna finish.

You're gonna finish the whole thing and people are gonna see that your power is available to them.

There's just no telling how many lights went on last last Monday night and all week, because it took a while for the good end to happen.

It wasn't just assured.

I mean, you've seen those guys hauled off the field and they'll always wave and everybody will cheer, or they'll lift a finger, you know, and they're just woozy and don't even know where they are.

They'll wave, everybody will cheer.

Well, there was nothing.

I mean, he was out and he was dead and now he's alive and I just pray that he gets safe.

Father, in Jesus' name, we break the power of darkness over his life.

Let him give his heart to Jesus, if he hadn't already, and if he is a believer Lord, let him be bold for you, let him brag on you, let him talk about you and what you've done for him.

Hallelujah, the power of prayer.

I'm telling you it's immense and God is just so eager to display this year.

This is an opportunity right now.

That's why I'm spending some time on this secular thing.

Yeah, it's secular.

That's where they need God.

They need God in the bar.

They need God in the sports bar.

They need God in Las Vegas.

They need God and they want God.

They just don't want religion.

Come on, lift your hands and receive Hallelujah, glory to God, glory to God, Hallelujah, hallelujah.

So next week, I want to talk about the power of miracles and the power of healing, and I just want to get you ignited and get you in position.

Prayer is the place where you get in position for God to use your life, and when we're all on the same page, it just means that there's that much more.

God gave me this little formula years ago love plus unity equals miracles, and healing is God's dinner bell.

When people get healed, that's like the old Chuck wagon.

Well, they ring the triangle, said okay, lunch is ready, here's some biscuits, here's some steak, here's some gravy, come on in here, let's have some lunch.

You better feed your beans.

You're gonna have to have beans when you're feeding cowboys and so God's dinner bell.

When you ring the dinner bell, that means you know, and so that's what healing does.

When healing occurs, it means God's present.

Hallelujah, did you get anything out of this today?

Are you excited about 2023?

Let's allow ourselves to be strengthened and reinforced with God's mighty power through praying and having our prayer life reignited.

Amen, glory to God.

Let's lift our hands again.

Father, we thank you this morning.

We thank you for what you've done in our midst and we thank you, father, that we have the truth that we're able to share with people.

Great and mighty things.

We're expecting great and mighty harvest, a harvest of souls.

The precious fruit of the earth is what the Holy Ghost call that in the book of James.

God has long patience for the precious fruit of the earth.

Lord, it's precious, it's rare, but there's lots of them out there.
