Why don't you reach down and pick up your Bible, please?
-
We're gonna get into the Word.
-
This remains standing.
-
Thank you, worship team, beautiful job.
-
Let's lift our Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.
-
Let's say this together say Heavenly Father, I'm shining for you today.
-
I'm here.
-
You gave me light and I'm so grateful for that light.
-
It shined unto me.
-
It's shining through me to others.
-
Because of your Word and your Spirit, I will accomplish those things which you've called me to do.
-
In Jesus' name, amen, amen, you could be seated.
-
Let's turn in our Bibles today to Hebrews, the 11th chapter, the 11th chapter.
-
We'll start reading with verse one, hebrews 11, one.
-
I happen to believe that Paul was the writer of the book of Hebrews.
-
I can't prove it, but you can't prove he didn't.
-
So it says now, faith is, faith is now, isn't it?
-
Faith is not later, faith is not future.
-
Faith is now.
-
Now, faith is the substance of things.
-
Hope for the evidence of things not seen or not seen as yet.
-
For by it, that is, by faith, the elders obtained a good report.
-
Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
-
You know, the amplified in verse three says that the worlds were framed, fashioned, put in order and equipped for their intended purpose by the Word of God.
-
Isn't that powerful, and I like the Barclay translation of verse three.
-
It is by faith that we understand that the universe was constructed by the Word of God, for the scene had to take its origin from the unseen.
-
The scene had to take its origin from the unseen, and so today I wanted to share a message, the first in a series of messages on building your world with words.
-
Building your world with words.
-
You know, we've been speaking about the authority of the believer last couple of Sundays and these messages kind of just flow together with that authority.
-
We talked about how God gave us that authority.
-
We have delegated influence in this world and God used world.
-
You know, when you look at the Genesis account which we did, we talked about the beginning, how he made the male and female amen, and when you read the Genesis account of creation, over and over, it says God said and God saw.
-
God said and God saw.
-
It's just repeating all the way through.
-
You know he, god said let there be light and he saw that it was light and it was good.
-
And it goes on through the whole creation.
-
God said, everybody say, god said and God saw, so sound comes before sight.
-
If you're gonna see anything, you're gonna have to say it first and believe it in your heart.
-
This word of faith, I mean, it's so valuable.
-
Most of the church doesn't have this revelation.
-
Most of the church, if bumps along the bottom of the ocean, you know, bumping along, you know, because they just, you know, just trusting that maybe God will do something for them and they don't know how to create their world.
-
They live in a world they didn't create, they live in a mess, they live in a pigsty.
-
I'm telling you, no matter how bad your world is, you know what.
-
You can redo it, you can remake it.
-
You know I spent 25 years in the home building business.
-
So these, when I think about building it, it means something to me because I built houses.
-
But in eight, my last eight years, I built in a place called West University Place and that was a whole different dynamic there, because I didn't just buy a lot, I bought a house.
-
I bought a house at 70, 80, 90 years old, you know, but built in the 20s.
-
You know, most of the houses I bought were called teardowns.
-
That doesn't mean they were junk, it just means that the elderly people that lived there got too sick to stay there or they died one of the two and so their estates were settled.
-
And now they've got this house on a lot that nobody wants to live in because the house is outdated, it's built no insulation in it.
-
Most of them were like two bedrooms, one bath, maybe three bedrooms one bath.
-
Early on in West U and it got more valuable.
-
So close to the medical center, so close to downtown, you know your doctors and lawyers would move there.
-
They'd remodel these houses.
-
I knew one guy that took a two bedroom, one bath house it was about 1,100 square foot and turned it into a 3,000 foot four bedroom, three and a half bath, two story house.
-
You know, just kept on going.
-
You know it's still old, it's still old man.
-
I mean the roots, the bones of it were really old.
-
They talk about good bones.
-
Well, whatever, I wouldn't care about that one.
-
So my job was what I had?
-
To demolish the house.
-
When I closed on the house, I owned it.
-
Now I owned the house and the lot and what I'd do.
-
I used the demolishing company to just tear that thing down, haul it all off, haul off the debris, scrape it clean and I started over and built a brand new house.
-
We're on the side of where there was an old house and you can do that.
-
I mean, if you don't like your world, you can tear some stuff down, you can uproot some things and you can start over Glory.
-
I don't know who that's for, but maybe some of you just need to start over.
-
Maybe you need to uproot some things and so sound comes before sight.
-
You're gonna have to say it if you wanna see it.
-
I didn't say it, jesus said it.
-
I remember Brother Hagin talking about back in the early days of him going on the field ministry.
-
He pastored for 12 years and that wasn't God's will for him.
-
When he found that out, it had to shock him.
-
Can you imagine your pastor for 12 years and find out that's not God's will for your life?
-
Gives me hope.
-
You know I love it when they preach out of their mistakes.
-
But God didn't waste it.
-
But he went out on the field ministry and he thought he had to pray all day long.
-
He thought he had to get up early in the morning and he'd have a morning service, and then he wouldn't eat, he'd fast, he'd go to the sanctuary where he was holding the meeting somebody else's church and he'd pray in tongues, walk up and down the place of that, just wear himself, slap out, fasting, praying.
-
And he wore himself out this particular day and was laying on his back.
-
He finally got quiet, quiet, finally quit talking and doing all the talking.
-
You know, prayer is a dialogue and he finally quit talking.
-
He just got satirated.
-
He couldn't say another word.
-
So he laid down and he had his hands behind his head like this, looking straight up at the ceiling, and the Holy Ghost Said have you ever noticed in Mark 11, 23?
-
, that it says believe only one time and it says say, or some version of say, three time?
-
Well, he came up to the seated position, you know, and he said no, lord, I never did notice that.
-
And of course he didn't know how many hundred times he had read those verses, read that, that chapter.
-
I mean, you know, there's a lot of times.
-
You can read the Bible over and over for 40 years and miss a few things.
-
That's why I preach the same things over and over again.
-
We're still gleaning the truth out of these verses.
-
Have you ever noticed?
-
You know God doesn't want you ignorant.
-
He'll speak to you about what you don't know.
-
Have you ever noticed?
-
He said no, lord.
-
I never noticed that.
-
He said yeah.
-
He said my people are not missing it Primarily on what they're believing.
-
They believe right, but my people are missing it primarily on what they're saying.
-
And You're gonna have to teach them three times as much about what to say as what to believe.
-
Go teach my people faith.
-
And that was the.
-
That was.
-
That was brother, brother Hagin's birth of his ministry.
-
Really, a Holy ghost took, you know, one verse of scripture, mark 11, 23, and said here's your ministry, right here.
-
Here's what you don't know about it.
-
And I go tell these people that what they don't know about it Maybe spent 50 years, 60 years doing that.
-
Come on, lift your hands right now.
-
Thank God for the word of faith.
-
I feel sorry for Christians that don't know the word of faith, that don't know how to be practiced In it, and that's why I preach it over and over.
-
I'll never quit pre.
-
I just or delivered me the fear of repetition.
-
I don't care how many times I preach something, we need to hear it over and over again, because this is the way we receive from God.
-
This is really the way the sons of God rule and reign in this life Is with what words?
-
The king didn't rule with the sword.
-
He had guys with swords, all right, and he could use those guys, but he never picked up a sword.
-
David picked up a sword, but I mean other than David.
-
Hey, man, they didn't have to.
-
They didn't have to be a to go out there and fight anything, anything.
-
What did they use?
-
They use words Over to God.
-
Everybody say I'm using words to change my life.
-
So Faith is.
-
Acting like the Bible is true I like that definition most of all and just acting like the Bible is true.
-
Well, if you act like the Bible is true, the first thing you've got to do is say it's true.
-
You've got to speak it out of your mouth.
-
You've got to say what you believe in your heart.
-
You got to believe it in your heart.
-
Now you can't just say something.
-
You've got to have something down in there, and whatever it is that you desire, if it's not in your heart, you might as well forget it.
-
You'll never see it.
-
You've got to get it down in there?
-
How do you get it down in there when you speak it, you think about it and you speak it, and you think about it and you speak, and you think about it and you speak.
-
I'm just dreaming of having millions and millions of dollars To reap this harvest.
-
I'm thinking about what I'll do with it.
-
I'm thinking about it a day and night.
-
That's what I think about.
-
I talk about it.
-
Y'all looking at me crazy.
-
Well, you know what I'm.
-
Maybe I'm crazy.
-
I'm going to a heavenly insane asylum one of these days.
-
So faith is acting on the word.
-
Faith is acting like the Bible is true, and speaking is the initial action.
-
If you're gonna act, you got to speak first.
-
Speak, you know, sound comes before sight.
-
So, and so mark 1123 is interesting.
-
He said it say, or some version of say three times.
-
Well, in my margin, in my Bible, it just says say three times.
-
So you got to go back into the Greek and look it up.
-
So, mark 1123, whosoever Shall say under this mountain, that word say means just command.
-
You know, be thou removed, be thou cast and see shall not doubt in his heart.
-
Be thou removed, be thou cast and see shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, those things which he saith.
-
That word saith is the Greek word Lego.
-
The first one was Epo.
-
Lego means a systematic discourse.
-
It means you're gonna say it over and over again.
-
Remember the woman with the issue of blood?
-
For she said if I may touch the hymn of his garment, I shall behold.
-
She kept in an amplified so.
-
She kept on saying she had a systematic discourse from the moment she heard about Jesus and it created a systematic discourse.
-
And she kept on saying if I can just touch his garment, I shall behold, I shall behold, I shall behold.
-
He had a systematic discourse.
-
See, that's what's missing in a lot of lives.
-
They might say something good on the front end of something and then they lose it.
-
They don't keep saying it.
-
I Said they don't keep saying it.
-
He said you got to do both.
-
You got to have the Epo and the Lego.
-
And you believe in your heart not and not doubt, you shall have whatsoever.
-
He saith again Epo.
-
So I'm not the one that said it.
-
Jesus said you can have what you say, I, everybody that makes fun of that and everybody that that mocks.
-
That is mocking Jesus.
-
You know, jesus said I'm the way, the truth in the life, no man coming to the father but by me.
-
That word truth there is really Is translated truth.
-
It could just as well be the root word of that of that Greek word is reality.
-
Jesus is the reality.
-
And who is Jesus?
-
He's the word.
-
The word is your reality.
-
It doesn't matter what's going on, it doesn't matter what your eyes see.
-
Whatever's going on can be changed by the word, the reality.
-
Oh, glory to God.
-
You could go home right now and you had that nugget.
-
You'd have something worth going home with.
-
So Jesus is the one that said.
-
He said whosoever shall have whatsoever.
-
It's not, I made it.
-
Are you a whosoever?
-
Well, whatsoever then.
-
Just that.
-
Just think of the territory that covers.
-
What's whoever?
-
Why I can't.
-
I believe for millions, maybe billions, I don't know.
-
It might take billions.
-
I'm willing, but I'm gonna start with the millions first.
-
I've already handled millions.
-
Huh, yeah, I've handled millions of dollars.
-
I'm gonna come down tell you right now I'm, it's not a big thing.
-
It's not a big thing.
-
I can, I can, I can believe for more.
-
It's gonna take a lot of money to reap this last, last harvest, all right, so let's look at mark chapter four.
-
You know, the sower sows the word.
-
You know what this, this parable, uh, was so powerful they didn't realize what they were hearing.
-
And uh, and jesus lingered quite a long time on this subject.
-
The sower sows the word and he talks about a person sowing seed.
-
Four different people sowed seed into the ground and three out of the four had a crop failure and only one had a crop.
-
Only one got a crop out of it.
-
That's pretty bad, I think I'd wanna know how in the world do you have a crop failure?
-
Because I've had plenty of them.
-
Have you ever had a crop failure?
-
And so these verses are bare on how to have success.
-
You know God wants you successful, he wants your life to work.
-
But look here in verse 26, at the end of this parable, and he's talking to him and he's warning them.
-
He said you know, whoever receives this is gonna get more, and whoever rejects it, I'm gonna take what.
-
You know, the devil's gonna steal what that little ape got.
-
He didn't say I'd take it, he said it'll be taken.
-
Well, who's gonna take it away from the devil?
-
He'll take everything you've got.
-
He's a thief, he's a stealer.
-
All right, verse 26, mark 4, 26.
-
So is the kingdom of God as if a man should cast seed into the ground.
-
Look at the word if.
-
If everybody shout, if, let's shout it five times, come on five, five times, one more time, loud.
-
Then See, the if is on you, not him.
-
You don't sow a seed, you ain't gonna get nothing.
-
And how do you sow the seed?
-
You gotta speak it.
-
You gotta say it out of your mouth and believe it in your heart.
-
If a man should cast seed into the ground, what ground is he talking about?
-
Well, he'd already told you what he's talking about.
-
He's talking about your heart.
-
He's talking about your spirit.
-
That's the ground.
-
It's not talking out there in the parking lot.
-
It's not talking about the carpet.
-
It's talking about your spirit.
-
That's what I'm saying.
-
If you can't get what you want in your spirit, it's never.
-
You're never gonna see it.
-
So he said if a man should cast seed, and what is the seed?
-
Well, he said in verse 14, the seed is the word.
-
See, you gotta, when you're reading verse 14, connect it up with where it came from, get the context of verse 14, then it'll help you understand what he's saying he spoke in parables.
-
Why?
-
Because he wanted.
-
He didn't want the naysayers, the Pharisees, to catch on.
-
He knew they wouldn't get it, they didn't deserve it.
-
They rejected him.
-
So he spoke it and they'll never be able to say they didn't know, because he told them all about it.
-
He broke it down and exposed the way the kingdom operates.
-
And they didn't do it, and so that becomes their judgment.
-
Religious people never grab ahold of what God's trying to do.
-
They always wanna earn it their own way.
-
They think they gotta work real hard.
-
They gotta just, they gotta just get in the corporate wars.
-
They've gotta engage and battle.
-
Listen, if you'll sow your seed, gotta watch over it and you just keep on, because words are both seed and water You're gonna get a harvest.
-
If a man should cast seed into the ground and should sleep and rise night and day, see, you don't have to stay awake all night long, sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up.
-
He know it's not hell.
-
No, you don't know how.
-
It's all right, you don't have to be a scientist, you just know it's gonna happen.
-
You know when you plant a seed it's gonna grow.
-
It springs up and know it's not hell For the earth, bringeth forth fruit of herself.
-
Your spirit will bring forth fruit.
-
Your spirit will bring to pass whatever it is that you sowed into it, good or bad.
-
Well, it doesn't say that.
-
Well, you gotta connect it up with the other verses.
-
Don't read your Bible like a doofus.
-
Come on.
-
I mean pay attention here, the people that don't pay attention to the ones that cheat themselves.
-
My job is to see to it that you don't cheat yourself.
-
You go to sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up.
-
He know it's not hell For the earth.
-
Bringeth forth fruit of herself.
-
First the blade.
-
Can you eat the blade?
-
Can you eat the blade?
-
No, then the ear.
-
Can you eat the ear?
-
Yeah, but it's green.
-
I couldn't wait for my corn to mature.
-
One time I cut an ear off of it and opened it up and it was green slime in there.
-
I wasted one.
-
There's one down.
-
I got three to go.
-
What do you need?
-
You need patience.
-
First the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear.
-
But when the fruit is brought forth and my margin says when the fruit is ripe immediately he puteth in the sickle.
-
Who's the he?
-
Is it God that puts in the sickle?
-
No, the one that sowed the seed.
-
Listen, if I plant a crop, you're not gonna come along and get my crop when it's ripe.
-
I'm the one that's gonna know.
-
How am I gonna know?
-
Well, I'm gonna know because I'm a person of prayer.
-
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've missed a few crops by not praying like I should, and I missed a few crops and I didn't get the harvest and it went to waste.
-
Don't look at me so innocent.
-
You know you've done the same thing.
-
Amen, amen.
-
So the seed is the Word of God.
-
The man cast seed into the ground.
-
The ground is your heart, your spirit, and the whole kingdom is based on the seed sowing principle Immediately puteth in the sickle, for the harvest has come.
-
It's all about the harvest.
-
He wants you to have a harvest.
-
He wants you to have the fulfillment of what it is that you've sown.
-
What is it that you're sowing?
-
Health.
-
By his stripes, I was healed.
-
You don't just say it first day, you don't say it the second day, you don't say it third day.
-
You keep saying it.
-
You keep on saying it, systematic discourse.
-
Because the first day you planted, then the second day is water, and every time you speak it until it comes to pass, it's just your water and what you've already planted.
-
It's not unbelief to keep on saying You're not saying oh God, please give it to me.
-
No, you don't say that.
-
You say I have it.
-
Well, I can't say that I don't have it.
-
Well, see, that's your problem.
-
You hadn't figured this out yet.
-
You better get it figured out, because we've got about that long and God's expecting a harvest out of the church that's living right now.
-
So the whole kingdom is based on this word your kingdom.
-
What about a kingdom?
-
A kingdom is a domain, isn't it?
-
So, your kingdom, see the place where you have your domain.
-
You're all kings and priests.
-
This is the authority of the believer.
-
I'm connecting the dot back to what we were preaching the last two weeks.
-
You've got a domain over which you have authority, and if you're wanting to have a crop out of your domain, you're gonna have to take an exercise out of authority to sow the seed that you need, whether it's financial or whether it's health, or whether it's relationship, whatever it is, you've got a whole wealth of seed in the Bible to sow into your own heart with words Glory to God.
-
Yeah, building your world, making your world to put in an order, equip it for its intended purpose.
-
You know your world is out of order.
-
Your world's all messed up.
-
God can't bless a mess.
-
Get it in order.
-
How do you do it?
-
Words Start speaking it.
-
Are you getting this?
-
Now?
-
The whole kingdom and your whole domain operates the same way.
-
Your domain.
-
So and it goes back to Barclay's translation the things that are seen take their origin from the unseen.
-
So when you've got seed, you know what the seed is, you can see it, you might can even read it.
-
But when you plant it, when you sow it down in your heart, it disappears.
-
You can't see it.
-
And you can't see it even when you see the blade come up.
-
Sometimes you can see some things starting to change that hadn't finished yet.
-
But you get a blade here and then pretty soon you've got a plant sticking up out of the ground.
-
They say in Iowa.
-
You know, during corn season you can hear the corn grow.
-
I've never been to Iowa.
-
Don't plan on going anytime soon.
-
It's too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer.
-
So I prefer Hawaii.
-
Honolulu, walkie-kie, honolulu.
-
Pray in tongues, walk up and down the beach.
-
Amen.
-
So things that are seen take their origin from the unseen.
-
So Jesus said only 25% have a harvest.
-
So you go back and read the beginning of his parable.
-
There, in Mark, chapter four, he talked about the first person.
-
Just, he just broadcast the seed and just threw it out by the wayside.
-
He didn't even plan it.
-
What does that mean?
-
Well, he didn't have a systematic discourse, he just spoke it.
-
I'm healed.
-
Did it get down in the person's heart?
-
No, it doesn't get down in your heart unless you speak it over and over again.
-
Systematic discourse is what gets it down in your heart.
-
I mean, just speak it one time.
-
It's not down there, it's not in your heart, it's just laying there.
-
And what's gonna happen?
-
The birds of the air are gonna come.
-
The devil will come and steal the word right out of, right out, cause it's laying on the surface, it's not planted.
-
What does it take?
-
It takes Lego to plant.
-
Epo, lego, epo.
-
That's good to think about those three words in Mark 11, 23.
-
You need a systematic discourse.
-
That's what the woman with the issue of blood had, that's what Abraham and Sarah had, and in 90 days they went from barren to fruitful, fruitful here.
-
She is 90 years old and she is with child.
-
What happened?
-
Words, words, all right.
-
So the stolen word yeah, you know they're gonna have a crop.
-
The word has been stolen because it wasn't systematically planted with a systematic discord.
-
Same with the next one.
-
It says you know?
-
Jesus said you know, when a person sows the word and immediately it springs up little plant, but when the sun, the heat of the sun, scorches, you have the stolen word, the scorched word, immediately.
-
When circumstances don't go their way, they're immediately offended.
-
You see, they didn't hang on to the systematic discourse.
-
There's that systematic discourse, again not in operation.
-
The plant died.
-
It was starting to grow, it was starting to come up, even though they had rocks in their soil.
-
Their heart was hard.
-
Their heart was not thoroughly prepared.
-
It's good to spend time praying a lot in other tongues.
-
That turns your heart over.
-
It gets your heart receptive to the word being planted in it.
-
One of the greatest things you can do is pray much in other tongues.
-
Well, I do that and I don't understand it.
-
Well, you don't have to understand it, do it.
-
The word tells you all you need to know about praying in other tongues.
-
Just praying in other tongues and you will cause your heart to get turned over and aerated and ready to receive.
-
When you do plant that word, man, it's gonna go in there and it's gonna grow.
-
But the stony heart, yeah.
-
They just didn't have much preparation, not much preparation, and so the heat of circumstances scorched the word and they had no crop.
-
Then number three was you had somebody that planted the word, but the cares of this world, that deceitfulness, riches, the lust of other things entering in, choked the word or strangled the word, and it became unfruitful.
-
So that plant had gathered up and probably was ready, almost ready to mature.
-
It lasted longer than the scorched word, lasted a whole lot longer than the stolen word, but it still was a crop failure.
-
Why?
-
Because those other things entered in.
-
People lost their focus on their crop, they lost their systematic discourse.
-
The systematic discourse is what's wrong.
-
When all three of the crop failures, they all planted something, they all spoke the word, they all sowed the word into their heart and it didn't do them any good.
-
Because of why no systematic discourse?
-
Man, if you went home right now, you'd have something so valuable Some of you are gonna get that about three o'clock this afternoon, you're gonna find.
-
Did he say that?
-
Is that what he said?
-
Is that why nothing's happened in my life?
-
I keep speaking the word, but I don't do it on a regular basis.
-
Well, let's get faithful on it.
-
Let's hold fast to our profession of faith without wavering, for he's faithful.
-
Who promised he said this?
-
I didn't say it, he said it.
-
Amen.
-
And finally, you've got the safeguarded word.
-
Luke 8 says in an honest and good heart, they bring forth fruit with patience.
-
See, they're the ground of your heart.
-
See, it's talking about your heart.
-
You know, you've got to keep your heart with all diligence for out of it, all the issues of life, proverbs, chapter four, you've got to protect your heart.
-
You've got to don't be heart hearted, don't be unforgiving, don't be, you know, going around just with pride and all of that kind of thing.
-
Listen, you've got to.
-
You've got to prepare your heart to produce in your kingdom.
-
Come on, lift your hands right now.
-
Thank God, everybody say my heart's producing for me, my heart's producing for me, amen.
-
So I want to leave you with three good things to think about.
-
And I've got four weeks on this and it's worth the time.
-
I said it's worth the time, no matter how many times you've heard it.
-
You'll get something new out of it.
-
I mean, that systematic discourse has just went off in me, as you can tell, this morning this is kind of a missing link.
-
I don't remember Brother Hagin really talking about it, that like that.
-
And so you know that's the beauty of the word of God.
-
You know, you start listening and you start feeding on the word and God will open things to your areas of understanding so that you can understand how it works.
-
That's right.
-
So the first thing I want to leave you with building your world with words is be a person of your word.
-
Be a person of your word, be a person whose word can be depended on.
-
I mean, if you say it, you know you're just like God.
-
Ephesians, chapter five, verse one.
-
Be therefore imitators of God as dear children, followers in King James.
-
But followers means imitator.
-
Be an imitator of God and Numbers 2319,.
-
God's not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should repent.
-
If he said it, he'll do it.
-
If he spoke it, he'll make it good.
-
That's how you are.
-
That's exactly how you are when you say it.
-
It's gonna come to pass.
-
When you agree to something, things might change.
-
Oh, I mean.
-
Oh.
-
You swear to your own hurt and change, not Psalm 15.
-
You swear to your own hurt and change not.
-
I mean today's day, I mean people.
-
My dad used to say this my words, my bond.
-
He did business on a handshake.
-
He did business with a geologist and his little independent oil company and they just shook hands.
-
They didn't have a formal contract and on the strength of their agreement shaking hands and agreeing on his price to do certain things for the company, this geologist would go out and he would read the well logs of all these old wells that were shut in and sitting there and nothing was going on with them, and he would find the logs, the final logs of those wells.
-
They would show you where, what depth the oil had come in, how many barrels it and finally, when an oil well didn't make very much oil and made a lot of salt water and with it they just shut it in and it's sitting there and you can go buy those leases, you can go buy those.
-
And so he would do the research.
-
He would do all the research and he'd bring my dad a list of wells and negotiated a price for those wells and my dad's company would buy those wells and they would work them over.
-
They would take the top of them and they'd move a rig in there and they'd go down in that hole and redo it and it would change it to.
-
Some of those wells would make five, six, eight barrels a day when they got finished.
-
Well, that's not very much yet, especially at $3 a barrel.
-
That's what oil was back then, $3 a barrel.
-
So make you $24 a day, whoop-de-doo.
-
Well, if you get 10 or 15 of those, it'll turn the lights on.
-
I mean, there's a rate of return.
-
But it took a geologist to do it.
-
I said it took a geologist to do it.
-
He shook hands with him and said how much you charge me?
-
Oh, I'm gonna buy.
-
And so they had an agreement my words, my bond, that's what my dad said.
-
That generation died off.
-
We ought to be the generation whose word can be.
-
I mean, you know, when you say you're gonna do something, you do it.
-
See, how does your angel know you're a person of your word?
-
How does God know you're a person of your word?
-
See, I mean it's gonna affect your faith.
-
If you don't do what you say, how can you really believe God will do what he says.
-
Number two be a person of the word.
-
This word right here.
-
Be a person of the word.
-
I mean when circumstances happen, you don't.
-
You don't look at those, you go to the word and say what does the word say about my circumstance right here?
-
What does the word say about what's going on?
-
And eventually, when you get this word down in you, you won't even have to open your Bible.
-
It'll be in you and you will already know when things start coming unglued.
-
You'll already know what it says.
-
That's where you wanna get to.
-
You wanna get to the place where that word and that Bible is residing down in your spirit.
-
And it doesn't happen overnight.
-
I used to marvel when I first started going to Lakewood Church and I would hear people pray and I would think how do they pray like that?
-
You know, I Catholic.
-
Our Father, which art in heaven, hae O' Mary full of grace and Lord, all of those, the kind of prayers, reading the prayer out of your missile Remember the missiles?
-
Some of you Catholics know we had a missile, not like a rocket missile, but I mean a little Should have been a Bible.
-
But it wasn't a Bible, it was an order of service that you read and you had all these pre-printed prayer.
-
I couldn't get over how these people could stand flat footed in prayer and, just like the glory of God, would fall.
-
And it wasn't very long before I could pray like that, especially when I got baptized in the Holy Ghost.
-
I mean God, just woo Hallelujah.
-
So be a person of the word.
-
Meditate on the.
-
What does it mean to meditate?
-
It means think about it, think about the word.
-
You think about everything under the sun.
-
Quit thinking about Fox News.
-
Quit thinking about and don't even give any thought about ABC, nbc, cbs.
-
Forget about them.
-
I have to know what's going on in the world, but I don't think about it that much.
-
I know about it.
-
When I have to think about it a while, I'll think about it, but I always go back and start thinking about good things.
-
I don't like to think on evil things.
-
They're I don't.
-
You can't stick your head in the sand and act like there's nothing going on.
-
No, I don't believe that either.
-
But I think people, especially in the church, we get too, too wrapped up in this world and that's all we think about and talk about.
-
Listen, that's dangerous to do that, because you're you're hurting your own faith.
-
Are we believing for a revival or not?
-
Is God going to get a harvest out of this earth or not?
-
See, I believe he is.
-
So be a person of the word.
-
I went going to Lakewood church, brother, those things, every service, and I, we, we went, you know, eventually we there for a while we went four times a week Sunday morning early service, sunday morning, second service, sunday night and Wednesday night.
-
So that's four services a week and I mean every one of those services.
-
You know he'd, okay, pick up your Bible.
-
This is my Bible.
-
I am what it says I am.
-
I can do what it says.
-
I'm a can do person.
-
I can do, I can do.
-
I'm a can do person.
-
I can do what it says I can do.
-
I have what it says I have.
-
And then on from there, well, you say that four times a week for 15 years.
-
It's gonna be in there.
-
See, I'm fully persuaded.
-
I put that in my heart all those years ago.
-
Now, for me, when I have you raise your Bible, we say a variety of things.
-
I don't have one particular thing.
-
That's just my personality.
-
My personality is not just have one confession, but there's so many confessions that we can make those confessions, that's what we ought to be thinking about, those we ought to be turning that around in our mind.
-
Amen, you are a can do.
-
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
-
There shouldn't be anything off the table.
-
Well, you know, I didn't go to college.
-
Well, so what I did, god did, the Holy Ghost will make you look like a genius.
-
I said, the Holy Ghost will make you look like a genius.
-
And then finally, be a person of prayer, be a person of your word, be a person of the word, be a person of prayer.
-
Prayer is where you find specific instructions.
-
Just like Brother Hagin had he been praying.
-
He had been praying his guts out and praying in other tongues and he finally got so tired that he got quiet.
-
Sometimes we forget to get quiet.
-
We want to do everything, something about human beings we want to do, we want to do it, we want to earn it, we want to, and sometimes it's just good to get quiet.
-
And you can't just do that.
-
You need prayer to begin with.
-
Praying in other tongues will finally quiet your mind.
-
I know many of you have had that experience where you start praying in other tongues in your mind is just clogged with all the things you should be doing, because it seems like to your carnal mind that you're wasting time and the phone will go off and you feel like you need to answer, that.
-
You need to see who just texted you, you need to see what that email was or whatever.
-
You know you're just going to have to train yourself to give yourself to pray.
-
Be a person of prayer, and when you are a person of prayer, that's when God can give you specific assignments, just like Brother Hagin.
-
That day God gave him a specific assignment and said now this is how it is in Mark 11, 20.
-
Did you ever notice?
-
You know, believe one time, say three times, go, teach my people faith.
-
I mean, that was kind of a pivotal piece of information, wasn't it?
-
I remember one morning I had been praying a number of weeks.
-
I had just gotten back from Paris with Brother Osteen.
-
We had done a preacher's conference, their pastor's conference in Paris, and I told him when I was there.
-
I said when I get back I'm going to have to find out what's going on.
-
The word always works and I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired.
-
I had a house that wouldn't sell and interest was eating me up and I was under pressure.
-
I said when I get back home I'm going to find out what's going on.
-
So I started seeking the Lord about what I had missed in my life, what was out of order.
-
And I didn't have a bead on it, I didn't know, I just kept you know.
-
And he gave me a word out of Jeremiah.
-
And how would you like to be sitting in a hotel room and Brother Osteen preach a personal message to you?
-
You're sitting there in bed, laying in bed drinking coffee and he's at the foot of the bed preaching to you.
-
Well, that's what I had that morning.
-
He preached to me a message and I used that when I got home and I went off on that particular verse and started down the book of Jeremiah.
-
But anyway, this particular morning I was up at five o'clock.
-
I had about 30 minutes before I had to leave and drive to Alvin.
-
I think that day, those days, I was working for another builder.
-
He had hired my company to watch his houses and he was a build on your lot builder.
-
He built all over five counties.
-
I covered five counties just about every day Crosby, you know, mont Bellevue, alvin, you put a lot of miles on a car.
-
Anyway, that morning I was kind of in a hurry, I didn't have all the time I wanted to take in prayer and I was so sleepy, I was so tired and I just got in my chair and I hadn't even opened my Bible yet, I hadn't even said anything yet, and the Holy Ghost said son, you're a minister of the sanctuary, son, you're a minister of the sanctuary.
-
And I mean, I got so excited.
-
I knew that was in Hebrews, but I didn't know exactly where.
-
Well, it was in Hebrews 8, 2, talking about Jesus, who was a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched to, not man.
-
So the Holy Ghost quoted me the first half of Hebrews 8, 2 and said that's who you are.
-
Who you are, you're not a home builder, that's a part time preacher.
-
You're not a home builder, that's a part time pastor.
-
You're not a home builder, you're a minister of the holy things.
-
Sanctuary means holy thing.
-
And so by telling me who I was, he showed me where I had missed it.
-
I was still involved in home building when he was done with it.
-
You know, god's plan is better than your plan.
-
Your plan is fraught with trouble, but his plan is already blessed, and I realized in an instant of time that I was on the wrong track, that that was what was wrong.
-
Oh, hallelujah, oh, glory.
-
Come on, lift your hands right now.
-
That's where this church was born, right there.
-
Just a half of a verse.
-
Now, it doesn't take a bunch of information for your life to change.
-
And so be a person of your word.
-
Be a person of the word, be a person of prayer, and God will begin to give you the tools you need to build your world.
-
Come on, let's lift our hands this morning.
-
Hallelujah, glory to God.
-
Thank you, jesus.
-
How many of you got something out of this today?
-
Well, we got three more sessions of it.
-
I believe you'll get things.
-
You know where you can get your life in order.
-
You can get your world in order.
-
Amen, my world got in order and this church was a result, and there was a lot of things that had to happen, but they all happened and the word worked.
-
Amen, it's been working all these years.
-
Praise God.
-
Thank you, lord.
