Redemptive Realities 2, “The Reality of Our Redemption”

Get your Bibles out, let's lift them up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

Thank you, worship team, beautiful job.

Let's say this together.

They say heavenly Father, I'm a believer, not a doubter.

When your word says it, I believe it and I act like it's true.

I'm acting my way to my miracle today.

Thank you for all you're doing for me and for those that I love and I'm praying for.

They've got their miracle too.

In Jesus' name, amen, you can be seated, praise God.

We're gonna go to our foundation, scripture 1 Peter, chapter one, and also Romans, chapter eight, and we're doing a series on redemptive realities.

This is the second message, and my intention is to build in you the faith in the blood of Jesus, which is the currency of our redemption.

He paid a great price and when we know that and we have a revelation of that, then God's power is applied.

First, peter, one in verse 18, for as much as we know, you know.

So you gotta know some things, and I don't mean in your head.

You need to know, have a revelation of it in your spirit, and faith comes by hearing and hearing or by revelation.

That's why God basically delivered me from the fear of repetition, because you just have to hear these things over and over until they get down in your spirit.

So everybody say redemption is getting down in my spirit.

For as much as you know that you were not redeemed by corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation.

Conversation means manner of life received by tradition from your fathers.

But you've been redeemed, as understood there in the next verse.

You've been redeemed with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

And then in Romans 8, 32, one of my most favorite scriptures in the whole Bible and I just love this for it says so much Romans 8, 32, he that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not, with him, also freely give us all things?

I like the new English Bible that says how can he fail to lavish upon us all?

He has to give Hallelujah, he's got some things he wants to lavish upon you.

And I mean that means.

I mean lavish means abundance, it just means overflowing.

I mean, you know, sometimes we can be satisfied with just a partial result, just a little result.

Well, it's good to praise God for whatever result, but God wants to lavish some things on the body of Christ right now to make us able ministers of the new covenant to be able witnesses.

So this is the year 2023.

God spoke to me.

This is the year of God's power.

We sang about God's power this morning and we talked about last week.

We established that the blood and the glory are linked, and when I say the word glory, I'm also meeting the Holy Ghost, and when I say the glory, I say the Holy Ghost, I'm talking about God's power.

They're all basically interchangeable terms.

Jesus said you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you.

And so we established last week, when we talked about Moses dedicating Moses and his sons to the priesthood in the ceremony of dedication, he took and killed a ram and took the blood of that ram and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear and his sons on his right thumb and on a great toe of his right foot the blood of the ram.

And then, right after that, he took of the holy anointing oil, so special oil.

There's no oil like it.

It was unlawful for there to be a mixture like it, except for the purposes of anointing the priest and what they used around the holy place and the holy of holies.

And so they, everywhere the blood had been applied, they took that holy anointing oil and anointed his ear, his thumb, his great toe and then sprinkled them, sprinkled them with that oil.

And so you know the lesson there is the glory always is flows where the blood is applied.

God's power has got to have the blood go before it.

We've got to know something about the blood of Jesus.

We've got to know what it did 2000 years ago, what it's doing right now.

Did you know?

The blood is still here and it's doing.

It's not here, it's in the mercy seat in heaven, but it's still doing what it was designed to do, taking away all guilt and shame and hesitation and the presence of God.

People that are weak about knowing what the blood has done and what it is doing are not bold.

The Bible says the righteous are bold as a line.

Well, I see a lot of people weak as lambs.

They don't have confidence to come before God and actually make a demand on the things that Jesus blood has purchased for them.

And then the blood is doing and will do.

It's continuing to do, and so my aim is for your faith in the blood.

Faith is based on knowledge or revelation of the word of God.

So we have to have a thorough understanding of what the blood has done in order for us to receive.

We're working on our receivers.

I'm working on my receiver.

It's updating and upgrading.

My receiver is being updated and upgraded.

We're doing that in the church.

We've got plans.

We haven't rolled them out yet, but we're working on updating and upgrading.

We've done a little bit around here and there, but you're gonna start seeing some things different in the lobby, different in the children's church, different in the youth department.

Eventually, different in here.

We're doing a lot of things behind the scenes upgrading and updating our equipment air conditioning how many have appreciate air conditioning?

We haven't needed it much lately, but you know, hey, the day's coming, we're gonna have to turn that arrow and we're gonna have air.

We're gonna have air because we replaced those old units at 15 years old.

You know how many things those things wear out.

So last week we got into the testimony of the prodigal son.

That's not a parable.

It's a story that Jesus told in Luke, chapter 15, where a rich man had two sons and we called him junior and Bubba.

Junior was his eldest.

Bubba was the next born and Bubba knew that he had inheritance coming and he made a demand.

He said give me what the portion of goods it falls to me.

At least the boy knew what belonged to him.

He went and blew it on righteous living but nevertheless, at least he knew he had something coming.

And the Bible says that the father divided under them his living.

So junior got his the same time Bubba got his and junior got the what double portion.

So we talked all about that last week and Bubba knew he had something.

He left with the money, he left with the inheritance and he blew it.

And he realized after he had come to himself.

Sometimes we have to have a come to our self adjustment.

We need to get right down to brass tacks and look in the mirror and quit blaming God and even quit blaming the devil.

I mean, if the devil's doing anything cause you, let him.

So hey, I want you to just look at the person that's responsible.

Quit trying to find somebody else to look at.

Amen, I've had to do that.

We have to keep on doing that.

Why?

Because then that's when the blood.

When you own something, that's when the blood can cleanse it.

Until you apply it, it can't help you.

Quit running and stand still and realize what a covenant you've got.

It doesn't matter how bad and deep the mess is.

The Holy Ghost specializes and messes.

He can undo whatever mess you've created.

Quit being ashamed and just plead guilty.

I don't know who this is for, but somebody.

Oh, I'm so ashamed.

Quit being ashamed and just own it.

That's what.

And finally, that's what junior I mean, excuse me, bubba did.

Bubba went back to his dad and said hi, how many hired help, you know?

On and on.

And they got three squares and a place to stay.

I've got a hog food.

I've got a hog.

I'm living with the hogs.

I'm a Jewish boy.

On top of that, pretty miserable.

And so he went back.

He had it all rehearsed, what he was gonna say, and the Bible says the father saw him a great distance away and he came and ran toward him and embraced him and kissed him.

I was so glad to see him.

He started down his confession oh Father, I'm not worthy to be called your son.

I've sinned before you and before heaven, you know.

And before he could say another word, bring.

He just snapped his fingers to the servants Bring the best robe, get some shoes for this boy's feet, bring the signet ring and bring and kill the fatted calf.

It's time for a party.

Come on See, he didn't have a revelation of the power of his bloodline.

A bloodline doesn't mean you have to get saved over and over again.

Jesus went to the cross once.

Once, let's look at Hebrews, chapter nine.

We're gonna continue along this line about the blood.

Hebrews chapter nine, verse 12.

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood.

Talking about Jesus, he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us and I like the amplified Bible having obtained a permanent deliverance, a complete redemption and an everlasting release for us.

That covers it all, doesn't it?

And how many times did he have to do it?

Every time we've made a mess, did he have to keep on dying?

Did he have to keep on bringing the blood?

No, the blood is up there, and every time we create a mess and we own the responsibility for doing it, we've already.

Oh God, I'm sorry, I just missed it, I'm so sorry.

And Jesus points to his blood up there at the mercy seat.

He's the propitiation, he's the mercy seat for us, and it gives us boldness to enter in to the holy of holies.

Glory to God.

Come on, lift your hands right now.

Praise God.

Delivered from shame and guilt, we have an everlasting release, a complete redemption.

He didn't leave anything off.

Oh, I forgot that part.

No, everything's been covered, glory to God.

So, so they killed the fat and kind of junior junior's, mad junior's, jealous Junior, what, what do you mean?

You never gave me as much as a skinny goat.

The father said hello, I have as yours.

I gave you your double portion, you doofus.

Whose fault is it that you didn't have a skinny goat or a big fat goat or a fat whatever you wanted?

See, he's in charge and was acting like a servant.

He's acting like a hired help.

He's acting like somebody.

That's not a covenant.

He's acting like he's not a member of the family and he's the first born.

Well, guess what?

We're all in the family.

The family's touched and changed.

We're here and the family feels blessed and changes come and it changes over, and it changes over and it will change.

We've been delivered out of it in too.

Are you with me now?

And so when Bubba realized the power of the blood line, that's when the glory fell.

They had music and dancing, they had a party.

See, that's the type of the glory or the benefit of the blood that blood was shed, but then the blood line.

We are flesh of His flesh, bone of His bone.

We're in the family.

Glory to God, the family of God.

Whoo hallelujah.

So when Revelation came of the true status, they had the fatted calf, the best robe and the shoes what shoes?

Standing.

You're standing and you've been made worthy by the blood to stand before God.

You don't have to sit, you don't have to get on your face, you don't have to.

I'm not saying we shouldn't worship and be on our face from time to time, but I hear people whenever people would fall at Jesus feet, he'd say stand up on your feet.

He's not looking for people to grovel, he's looking for people that will stand in the courts of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and issue proclamations and decrees.

That's what kings do.

Kings don't grovel Kings.

He's the King of Kings, we're the kings.

He's the king of.

He's the Lord of Lords, we're the Lord of who he's the Lord of?

Are y'all with me now?

Whoo, glory to God.

And then, of course, the ring.

I mean he's able to sign with the sign.

With the sign ring he can sign for family business.

He can obligate the throne of God at his word.

When you speak, all of heaven will back you up when you speak according to God's word and God's spirit.

So we're beginning to get a revelation of how, when we apply the blood and how do we apply the blood.

You know the children of Israel, when they had Passover, you know, a couple of weeks ago, they celebrated Passover.

All the Jews on earth celebrated Passover, the ones that believe.

And what do they celebrate?

Well, you know, the death angel passed over them in their homes in Egypt.

What did they have to do to be exempt?

Well, they had to kill the lamb and take the blood of the lamb, and they had to take it and dip a hyssop branch A hyssop is a little shrub that grows in that part of the world they dipped it in the blood and they marked their doorposts.

They splashed the blood on the header and on the doorposts and they poured the blood on the threshold.

And so when the death angel came through town, he passed over every house that was marked with the blood.

They applied the blood with the hyssop.

Where's our hyssop?

It's your tongue, if you're not talking about the blood.

They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.

You gotta say some things.

You're gonna take your mouth and you're gonna take it and you're gonna sling that blood all over your house, all over your life, all over your children.

Your mouth has gotta start moving.

How many of you know the devil's mouth is moving 100 miles an hour.

Amen, all right, let's look at Matthew eight now.

We looked at Hebrews nine.

Let's look at Matthew eight.

I'm still talking about redemptive realities.

I want you to see something that many in the body of Christ are ignorant of, and it's time for the church to get healthy.

It's time for the church to walk in divine health.

Matthew, chapter eight, verse 16.

This is after Jesus.

Matthew five, six and seven is the sermon on the mount, and in the first part of chapter eight he comes down off the mount.

Multitude still followed him.

They were hungry to hear more what he was preaching.

What was he preaching about the father?

He was getting them acquainted with the father.

They didn't know the father.

They knew the judge, they knew the one that was angry, they knew that side of God, but they didn't know the father side of God.

And he was teaching them on the father side of God.

Oh, it struck a note, it struck a cord.

Pharisees didn't like it.

See, it diminished them, it devalued them, cause they're going around like peacocks.

You know, we're the ones we've got it all together.

Come and talk to us.

And he is preaching some things that they just didn't like.

And the common people heard him gladly.

Bible said so.

Then, in verse 16, it says when the evening was come, say all day long he's preaching.

The evening was come.

They brought unto him many that were possessed with demons.

Many.

These are God's covenant people and they're possessed with demons.

We're seeing more and more demonic activity in the church, more and more people that are just consumed with demonic spirits when they should be walking free.

But here it says it right here.

They brought unto him many that were possessed with demons and he cast out the spirits with his word and he healed 49.7% of the ones that were sick.

He healed all that were sick, all of them.

He healed all of them.

He didn't go down a checklist.

Now, what have you done in the last?

Have you been a good boy?

Santa's not gonna come see you if you hadn't been a good boy.

No, he didn't go down a list.

He healed every one of them, every one of them that was demonized.

He casted demons out with his word that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet, saying himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses.

Glory to God.

So we've been redeemed, we've been set free, we've obtained he obtained for us a permanent deliverance, an everlasting release, a complete redemption.

And this week I want to focus more on healing, because healing is so necessary in the church and we just we spend time every week laying hands on people up here for all kinds of reasons.

We don't just limit it to people that are sick.

Whatever the need is, we invite people to come up to the altar and if you've got any kind of needs, get used to coming up to the altar and having hands laid on you.

The laying on of hands is one of the central doctrines of the church and most churches don't spend any time doing it.

The Word of God.

I was reading a book, brother Bob, where your brother Bob gave me a book here.

Bob gave me a book on apostles and prophets.

It's too big to read.

I mean it's like this thick, you know.

So I just kind of graze on it every great.

Once in a while I go over there and open a page and what?

But Rick Renner wrote it.

Rick is a tremendous Bible teacher.

God told him to go start a church in Moscow After the after the USSR fell.

His assignment was go build a church where you couldn't before and I mean it's a nice church Seats of thousand, I think over a thousand people.

I got a big old church right in Moscow, right in the heart of this mess.

That's going on right now and but he travels and pre teaches or he's a great Bible teacher and I mean he's the kind of teacher that every word he goes to into his concordance and I mean this word here, this word there, this is what it meant back then and this is what the context was.

And I mean you know you got to.

You know you got to just put on your eyeglasses and you know you got to have a nice quiet place to read his books.

But anyway, we like Rick, he's on victory network.

But he, he said this in his book.

I read this.

He said you know we've got some of the greatest music ever in history in the church right now.

The music is amazing, anointed music, I mean the presence of God comes.

I mean, it's such, such, such melodies and such excellence of music.

But what I found in, especially in America, is the word of God is not being preached.

I can't imagine going to a church where there's no word.

But some of these big churches that were built on just worship, worship, worship.

And we sang a lot of their songs.

I just won't mention their name, I'm not here to trash people, but I mean, you know we sang a lot of their songs, but you know they're so weak.

I'd try to listen to their preach and they were on TV and it was just nothing.

It was nothing.

Burgers.

I saw this 25 years ago.

I thought, well, they, they keep saying revival, but they don't even know what it is.

They're not basing anything that they've got on God's word.

Without the word, it doesn't matter too much about your worship, because there's nothing for God to get involved with.

It's, his word has to be there.

His worship important?

Sure, it's important, but it's not the whole thing.

The word of God.

So he, he, he just said you know it's not being preached, which is exactly what God told me back in 2003.

There's a dearth of the word.

I didn't know it because I don't travel that much.

I don't go from church to church.

This is my church.

I've gone overseas, I've gone to Canada.

I've gone to different places.

I've gone a few places in America, but mostly my ministry is right here, so I'm not an expert on what's going on.

I had just hear from God about so that we make sure that we have the word and the spirit.

Are you with me now?

So we've been redeemed, we've been set free.

We have eternal, permanent deliverance, complete redemption, everlasting release, and it hinges on two ideas.

You've heard me say this.

I'm going to say it again Redemption hinges on two mighty hinges.

The door of redemption, the doorway into God's presence, hinges on.

Substitution is one hinge, and identification is the other.

Jesus was our substitute.

He took our punishment.

This Bible says he took our sicknesses and carried our infirmities.

That tells me, then, that I shouldn't have sickness and I shouldn't carry infirmity.

Infirmity means frailty of the mind and our body.

So, all timers, we shouldn't put up with.

All timers.

We shouldn't put up with memory loss.

We shouldn't.

Well, it just comes with growing old.

Well, maybe it comes with you going old.

But Jesus gave me a complete redemption for memory loss.

I'm not going to put up with memory loss.

I'm going to resist it, amen.

Well, I mean, that's just you're going.

Well then, god, that can't lavish that on you.

Then you can just go into outer space.

Then my mother, you know she died of Alzheimer's.

So I know she was 93, but she's like the last four or five years of her life she didn't know who she was.

Well, I don't want that.

I don't want that for anybody.

The Bible says we've been redeemed from substitution and identification.

Jesus identified with our sickness, he identified with our weakness, he identified with our frailty and he was our substitute.

So then we can flip over and identify with the mind of Christ.

We can identify with Jesus' health.

He was never sick.

He was never sick and he never gonna be sick until the cross.

That's when he became sick.

Are y'all with me now?

All right, so hold your place there in Matthew 8 and turn back to Isaiah in my margin of my study Bible.

When it says Isaiah saying himself, took our infirmities, bear our sicknesses, it has a reference to Isaiah 53.4.

So let's turn back there and see what it's referencing Isaiah 53.

This is a prophet, isaiah prophesying over our Savior, jesus Christ, the Messiah.

And he said, surely verse four, he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.

Now, it didn't say anything about sicknesses and infirmities.

It said griefs and sorrows.

And yet Matthew translated that that he bore and took our infirmities and our sicknesses.

So when you look that up, those Hebrew words mean the same.

They're interchangeable.

So the same sacrifice that took our sins, took our infirmities, the same sacrifice on the cross Amen.

It should be just as easy to get healed and stay healed as it is to be forgiven.

You show me somebody that wrestles around with being forgiven.

They mess up.

All of us mess up at times.

We miss the mark and when we miss the mark, we should do what.

We should go and admit it First.

John 1-9,.

If you confess your sin, he is faithful and just to forgive you sin, cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

That's what you do.

You don't run from God.

You run to God and get it under the blood and it's all over with, and then you don't bring it up again.

He forgets it.

You should forget it.

The devil doesn't forget it.

He'll try to accuse you with it.

And then you've got that word.

Oh no, I've been forgiven of that.

Yeah, I did that, but I'm forgiven.

I'm not.

I've been released from that.

I've got permanent deliverance from that.

Devil accuses you to try to get you to agree with condemnation and guilt and shame and keep you out of it.

God's presence, are you with me now?

So he took them.

Jesus identified with our sin.

How many of you argue with that?

That Jesus identified with our sin?

I'm so glad no, but none of you are here.

That answered this poll that I just read.

Something like 50% of people who identify as Christians do not believe that Jesus lived a sinless life.

Well then, you need to get saved.

You're not even saved.

You're identified as a Christian, but you're talking like the devil.

Why do you suppose that?

Because they don't hear the word preached in their church.

They're the kind of people that have these kind of ads that they quit running them.

I haven't seen one in several months, since the Super Bowl.

He gets us that whole ad campaign.

I was just aggravated as I'll get out and I said so publicly and I found out who's behind it and it's a shame.

I mean they're just misguided.

They're spending millions and millions of God's money on a lie that basically just kind of eases God and puts him down at our level.

Jesus is not on our level.

He identified with us, but no, he's not.

He was only on our level when he took that.

He never was before and certainly not now.

He never lived a sinless.

He's the sinless, spotless lamb of God.

That's what it took to take our sins away.

They don't even know the Bible.

Are you with me now?

He gets us, well, he gets us, but he wants us to repent.

See, that's just like okay.

Well, if you don't like the gender that you were born with, we'll just change it.

He gets it.

No, he doesn't get that.

No, that's not approvable.

That's not approving of him.

He's not gonna put his stamp of approval on that we have.

What's love?

Is love to go along with that and let people go to hell thinking that, or is it love to tell them the truth, even though they get angry?

We're gonna have to just let some people get angry because I'm not gonna stop telling the truth.

Amen.

Are you all with me now?

So he took talking about sickness and disease and infirmity.

He took them past tense.

He took them.

It's already done, in fact.

1 Peter, 2, 24, let's look at that.

One real quick turn over to 1 Peter, hold your place in Matthew.

Well, that's just one verse, where here's a second one, a different apostle.

Why, pastor, I know this Well, I know you know it let's apply the blood.

Let's apply the blood of our redemption and walk in a lavished health that we have not been acquainted with.

I mean, god wants you so healthy that you don't ever have a A bad day.

You don't ever have a weak moment.

1 Peter 2, 24, who, his own self, bear our sins in his own body on the tree that we, being dead to sin, should live under righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed.

You were healed.

Past tense.

It's already happened.

Healing is not something you're trying to get.

Healing is something that belongs to you and it's already happened.

You don't have to ask for it, you don't have to beg for it.

You have to appropriate it by faith.

You have to identify a symptom, say uh-uh, no, that doesn't line up.

1 Peter 2, 24, and Matthew 8, 17.

Jesus took this.

I'm not taking it, I'm not gonna have it, I'm not carrying it one step.

You might as well pack up your symptoms, devil, and get out of here.

See, that's the way to do it.

You don't have to beg God.

I still see.

I got an email that you know I get every couple of weeks and it's always, you know, pray for healing.

Pray for my healing.

I'm not praying for your healing.

Why don't you appropriate?

You've been saved for 40 years.

Why don't you appropriate the healing that you have?

You mean you're not gonna pray for him to be healed?

No, I'm not praying for him to be healed, because he's a mature Christian.

He should appropriate it.

I can pray that God will open his eyes to what he's got.

Uh-oh, I'm seeing some people looking at me crooked.

Look.

You know let's stick with our redemption.

You know you can't always get other people to agree with you.

If they've been taught wrong and told a bunch of bunk, maybe you're praying not gonna change that like that.

You're praying for their healing is not gonna change it, because why they're believing wrong?

They're gonna have to change what they're believing in order to get healed.

Are you with me now?

So everybody say I'm identifying with Jesus, he's healthy.

I identify with the mind of Christ.

I identify with the mind of Christ.

So then it says in let's go back to Matthew 817.

So every time it says he healed all that were sick, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet Isaiah himself bear our sicknesses, took our infirmities, that it might be fulfilled.

That it might be fulfilled Future perfect tense.

And so that phrase, that it might be fulfilled means that every time your receiver receives your healing I want you to hear me very carefully Every time your receiver receives the healing that you need for your body, you're fulfilling Matthew 817 and Isaiah 53.4.

You're fulfilling that verse of scripture.

Notice, I didn't say every time the symptoms leave, because it's irrelevant about the symptoms.

Once you've received your healing, the symptoms have to go and sometimes it takes a while to kick them out.

I mean, you know, sometimes you've got to walk in a certain way for a healing, to actually for the healing power of God to be released in your body.

But you, at a point of time, say Matthew I mean Mark 1124,.

Therefore, what thanks to whoever you desire.

When you pray, believe you receive them and you shall have them.

So when you you know faith will work by praying, it'll work by saying so.

When you say I believe I received my healing right now from this infirmity.

The other day I just my hip started flaring up.

I got up out of a chair and went to take a step and man.

I mean, you know my leg, it wouldn't support my weight.

And I waited a minute and I kind of wiggled my leg around.

I said, devil, you're not putting this on me, but I'd had a pretty sturdy workout the day before, on Friday, and here it was Saturday day, sunday, and I'm thinking, boy, this is going to be kind of.

You know, I could be at the peg leg, papa, walking around up there.

So I had to wait.

I had to wait a minute and I rebuked the symptom and all that, and so I started walking and I finally got enough strength to walk without limping too bad and I kept stretching on it and I ran a little hard rubber ball on the wall and kind of rubbed it around on my back and my lower back and all that and kind of found a pressure point and started relaxing the muscle that had tightened up and so forth and so on.

I mean, I'm not going to accept arthritis.

I'm not going to accept some debilitating hip replacement or something like that.

I'm just not accepting.

Why?

Because I know God wants to lavish on me good health and if I just say well, it's because I'm 76.

It's just one of those things.

No, I'm not going to.

I don't have to put up with that.

I don't have to.

I don't have to say that I know what the blood has paid for.

I know what Jesus took and I'm not taking it.

And it took a few minutes, but I just, I mean, I just walked around the rest of the day.

It was a little tender.

It was a little tender this morning.

I just I went the same way I was.

I'm not taking this.

You might as well forget it.

See, sometimes we just have to put up a resistance in the name of Jesus.

See, it's not about things that instantly disappear.

See, I'm fulfilling.

I'm fulfilling Matthew 8, 17 and Isaiah 53, four, because Jesus took it and I'm acting like he took it.

Glory to God, hallelujah.

So the redemptive reality we need to take with us today is that the same sacrifice that washed our sins away also carried away our diseases and our infirmities, our weaknesses, our frailties of mind and our body.

We can and should say since Jesus took this pain away, I no longer have it.

Well, now you know you're lying.

No, I'm not lying, because if Jesus took it, I no longer have it.

Well, is it still there?

Well, I wouldn't tell you if I'd still had the pain.

I no longer.

My confession is I no longer have it.

You can have something or you can release it.

I don't have it.

Are y'all with me now?

See, I mean your words are your words are so important.

And when we know, when we apply the Hissa, when we apply the blood of our redemption to these symptoms, god's healing power comes to eliminate that thing.

Are y'all getting anything out of this today?

So you know a lot of folks, just like the people who believe.

You know almost 50% of people who say they're Christians don't believe that Jesus lived a sinless life.

I mean, it's just amazing to me.

I didn't have any idea it was that bad.

They just need to get saved.

Well, guess what?

They're hanging around the wrong place.

They're hanging around a place that doesn't preach the Word.

They couldn't come in this church and believe that because we never say it, we never let that theory.

That's a theory.

That's, you know, some sort of philosophy.

I like Brother Hagin's definition of a theory.

A theory is a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion.

So when you hear a bunch of theories preached, well, it's mostly just a bunch of bunk you can't build your faith on theories.

You have to base your faith on knowledge of the Word, amen, amen.

So if all of this is true, then why are so many Christians sick?

And I've got three things that we can look at that I've noticed in 35 years of being a minister, 29 years of pastor in this church and I hear this phrase a lot Everything happens for a reason.

Everything happens for a reason.

It's not a scripture, but anyway, people say it.

They think it's written in the Bible.

Everything happens for a reason.

God won't put on me more than I can bear.

I didn't say that either.

That's not what the Bible says at all, but people say it.

Everything happens for a reason.

Since I'm sick, god must have some purpose.

God has a purpose.

God has a purpose.

Again, it's theories that they've been taught instead of the Word.

And so three of these of this reason, this purpose behind it, that I've heard myself.

Number one Jesus is teaching me a lesson.

I've gotten sick because he's teaching me a lesson.

You know, if I hadn't gotten sick, if I hadn't gotten cancer, I wouldn't have been taught by now.

I have such compassion for people.

Well, that's not why you got cancer.

God didn't have anything to do with you getting cancer.

The devil had everything to do with you getting cancer and there is no lesson that God wanted to teach you.

By letting you have cancer.

I mean we live in an environment that's carcinogenic.

I mean, if you live in the Fifth Ward, I mean they've got more cancer in the Fifth Ward and they have anywhere else.

That happens to be where all the chrysos is, all the train yards, all the pollution.

I mean it was an industrial section and it was cheap land and so many years ago people bought there and built cheap houses and then, over a period of time, then you have a group of people that live there.

Well, I feel bad for them, but that's just a big city and there's gonna be places like that almost everywhere and usually it's the cheaper.

Land is cheaper because of the inconvenience of all of that and but you don't have to put up with that.

If you know Jesus, you can have immunity.

The blood of Jesus can give you immunity from carcinogenic.

Are y'all with me now?

He's teaching me a lesson.

Well, how long has he been teaching?

25 years.

Have you learned anything?

Well, no.

Well then he's a poor teacher or you're a poor student.

Which is it?

Can you tell God he's a poor teacher?

Hey God, you're a poor teacher.

I've been so faithful as a student.

Please let me know what it is you're trying to teach me with this.

Now, really, I mean people, people, they have this idea.

Would you teach your children a lesson by giving them some kind of disease?

I wanna teach you that a stove is hot Psss.

My mother didn't teach me that.

An open space gas fired space heater taught me that when I sided into.

You know, but I grew up.

I grew up, you know.

We didn't have central air and heat.

We had space heaters, you know, and I sided up to one of them one day, man I, before I could get away from it.

It left a big old blister on the side of my calf.

I still have the scar right here.

My mother didn't teach me that.

I mean, I taught me that and the stove taught me that.

The stove taught me that.

But you know, I didn't need to be taught that.

I knew it.

I just wasn't paying close enough attention where I was going.

No, so that doesn't even make sense.

I know it doesn't make sense, but I'm telling you that's where a lot of people think that God's teaching them a lesson.

No, god's not teaching you a lesson.

You're thinking that God is the author of the sickness and he's not.

The devil is the author of all sickness.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.

So sickness is oppression of the devil.

Identify who it is that puts sickness.

God doesn't have sickness to give you.

He doesn't cause it.

Well, he lets it.

Well, he lets everything that we let because we have authority.

What more do you want from the blood you are?

You are, you are junior, without acting like your Bubba.

I mean, let's at least have enough brains to be like Bubba and get some stuff out of it.

Junior had the double portion and lived like a slave.

He was out there at roundup time, you know, branding the cattle, eating at the Chuck wagon, probably spent the night in the bunk house.

He's got a big old suite in the big house and he, well, I don't want to do that.

I just want to be with my boys.

My boys are out here.

I want to be with them.

See, sometimes we just get so identity, it's identification substitution.

He, he's kind of ashamed of his bloodline.

See, a lot of Christians are ashamed of the Holy Ghost.

They're ashamed of speaking in tongues casting out death.

They're ashamed of healing.

They're ashamed of what they've got, because everybody else is so miserable.

They don't want to act like that.

They've got something nobody else had, why not?

Why don't you give it away?

You got it.

Why don't you give it away to other people?

All right, number two I'm suffering for Jesus.

I'm suffering for Jesus.

Boy, that's a, that's a cloudy one.

Then why did he suffer for you?

People use suffering like they're suffering disease and like Jesus suffered.

Paul suffered.

You know, bible says Paul had a thorn in the flesh.

He suffered.

This is my thorn in the flesh.

Well, you know.

Number one Paul wasn't talking about sickness and disease there thorn in the flesh, 2 Corinthians, chapter 12.

2 Corinthians 12 · chapter mention

He's talking about people.

In fact, specifically he's talking about the Jewish people that were inflamed against him, that went from town to town ahead of him Anytime he was went to a town to preach the gospel, the Jewish people were there ahead of him stirring up trouble.

Everywhere in the Bible, in the Old Testament, where it talks about thorns and the flesh, it's talking about people.

It's not talking about disease, it's not talking about sickness.

So if you're suffering sickness and disease, you're not suffering for the Lord, you're not suffering for Jesus.

It doesn't give him any glory.

It gives him glory when you get your healing and you walk according to your covenant Amen, you're fulfilling those scriptures.

When you believe, you receive amen.

I mean, would you say, I'm sinning for Jesus.

I'm sinning for Jesus.

I'm right here in the bar, here I'm sitting on this bar stool with all the other sinners and I want them to know that we think about them a lot.

And I have another drink and I'm gonna be here.

I'm gonna be.

I'm gonna sin.

I'm gonna sin for Jesus.

It's just stupid, isn't it?

I know y'all are looking at me.

Does anybody really say that?

Let me tell you, in 35 years I've heard everything.

I've heard every cockamame excuse for not receiving their healing that you can hear.

I mean, people have all kinds of excuses and I'm here to knock all the excuses off the table and say come on, let's grab ahold of the blood of Jesus, let's sling it around.

If you gotta go to the doctor, sling the blood at him.

Maybe not in his presence, but I mean, before you get there.

Here's one, the last one I'll give you.

I'm sick because God has given me a burden of intercession.

I've been made sick with their sickness.

I had a Catholic lady.

She meant well, she was a sweet lady, built a house for her and she found out I was a believer and she was charismatic.

Charismatic Catholic lady, and charismatic Catholics I mean.

When they stay in the Catholic church they're word star.

They don't hear the word, they don't know what we know.

They may have gotten Baptized in the Holy Ghost.

They may legitimately be born again somehow.

I'm not their judge, I'm not their jury and all that.

I've met Catholics that were saved.

I was saved.

I was still a Catholic for just a little while before I finally heard from God to leave.

But at any rate I've met Catholics that were saved and love God, no question about it.

But when they continue in Catholicism they're weak on the Word of God.

They might have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but they might be praying tongues to Mary.

They don't know any better and they do all the silly traditions that are ungodly and un.

They're not in the Word of God.

The traditions of men render the Word of God in an effect.

I still remember my Baltimore Catechism that the Catholic Church is the one true church Given by God and that its foundation is Scripture and tradition equal.

Well, you know that's a lie, because tradition of men can never be equal to Scripture.

I didn't know that that was a lie, but that's what I believed.

Is a kid growing up that's made me, made me, suspicious of evangelicals born again.

You know all of that.

I wouldn't go to church with Gladys.

I didn't want to hear about hell because I can do something.

Something in me told me that's where I was headed and I didn't want to be reminded of it.

I'll seal my, I'll seal my fate later in life, when you know, when there's nothing to enjoy later in life, I'll serve God.

That's really, that was my attitude.

Just a lie.

Scripture and tradition are not equal.

The traditions of men render the Word of God in effect.

So I'm sick as a form of intercession.

So this lady?

Getting back to this lady, she was fond of praying and interceding for people and she believed in the doctrine of redemptive suffering.

Well, isn't that what Jesus did?

So you, jesus, didn't do a complete job.

I thought it was a permanent release, everlasting release, permanent deliverance.

I thought it was a complete redemption.

And no, it's not complete.

No, we got to have sister Susie over here.

She's got to take this cancer.

She's got to take this arthritis.

She's got to take the pain of this infirmity as a form of intercession.

She's going to take that pain because this is what her doctrine was that this person was too weak to take that pain.

So I'm strong enough to bear it.

I won't turn my back on God.

I'll bear the pain for this other person as a form of intercessory prayer.

I'm not asking for a show of hands.

Y'all just relax.

I'm not asking anybody if they ever believed that.

But let me tell you something If you've ever believed in any of these kinds of things, you need to renounce that, Need to turn away from it, because all, all healing is spiritual.

That starts in your spirit, and when we've sewn into your spirit, if you were saved and believed these not so much, there was a lot of things that that I was exposed to as a Catholic, but I wasn't saved and so it didn't get in my spirit.

That spirit was lost and that spirit was taken out of me and I got a brand new spirit.

So my new spirit at age 33, it worked in my advantage because I didn't have all that garbage down on the inside.

Have you ever tried to pull up Johnson grass out of your yard?

This kind of stuff is like that.

It will get in your spirit.

It will choke the word of God that you need to get your healing.

It'll choke out.

So how do you kill Johnson grass in the natural Well?

You just feed your San Augustine water.

It feed it water.

It feed it.

It takes a while, but eventually San Augustine will take over your yard.

It will drive out the other.

You never had to pull one bit of it.

If you've ever tried to pull it up, you can't pull it up.

You pull it up and you got a root about four foot long and then it breaks off.

Well, you didn't get that and so it's going to grow some more.

So you can't pull it out.

So what do you do?

You just feed the San Augustine.

You keep feeding on the word of God, you keep praising God, you keep standing on God's word and eventually all that stuff that you've heard in your life will get choked out and it'll.

It'll go away.

But you need to renounce it If I say anything that you said or believed at one time.

Renounce it.

Just I renounced that.

That's not God, because Jesus is our lone redeemer.

He's the one that redeemed us by His precious blood.

Hallelujah, you come on, lift your hands and receive the word today.

Glory to God.

He set you free.

Oh, we've been set free and we've changed sovereigns.

We're not beholden to the devil anymore.

Glory to God, thank you.

I was talking to one of my relatives the other day.

I was just just kind of rehearsing after my brother's home going service and followed up with a couple of people that we saw there and I just I was just talking about how much I treasure the word of faith which we preach, which Paul preached, which all the New Testament is the word of faith, and how powerful it is for us so we can receive God's power in this year of God's power.
