Adjusting Your Receiver

Just lift your Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

Let's say this together Say have any father.

I'm so grateful for the Word of God.

There's nothing like the Word.

Nothing can take the place of the Word inspired by the Holy Spirit, and tonight I receive the Word of God as it's talking to me personally.

I receive the benefit of the anointing and the Word of God in Jesus' name.

Let's look at Mark 11.

And then Mark 11, 24.

We like 11, 23,.

But let's look at 11, 24 tonight.

Mark 11, 24,.

Jesus is speaking and my Bible is red.

It's in red.

So he said it.

Therefore, I say unto you what thing so ever you desire.

I mean, that's just gigantic, isn't it?

He didn't put any qualifications on it, he just said what thing so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.

My, my, my.

So when do we believe we receive them?

After we have them?

Or when we pray?

Yeah, when we pray is when we believe we receive them, but then later on we shall have them.

We shall have them.

Didn't say you might have them, said you shall have them.

Isn't that amazing?

But Jesus said it.

He must know something about how to pray Amen, what the what things so ever, in other words, whatever you desire.

Not what I desire, what somebody else desires, what your wife desires, what your kid desires, no, what you desire when you pray, believe you receive them and you shall have them All right.

And then a song of Solomon.

We hadn't looked there in a long time.

Do y'all know where it's at Right after Psalms, and please, the Astes.

Song of Solomon, chapter two, verse 15.

Take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes and, in other words, we like we like to shorten that verse it's the little foxes that spoil the vine, little foxes.

So tonight I wanted to share with you a message entitled adjusting your receiver.

Adjusting your receiver because it's in your receiver that you receive from God and of course that's your spirit right.

Adjusting your receivers, I mean the little foxes spoil the vine.

In other words, what it's saying there is is it's not always a great big gulf why you haven't received the answer yet.

You believed you received it, but you haven't, you don't have it yet and and sometimes we just kind of missed it.

You know you.

You just didn't, you didn't quite receive like you thought you did.

You have to adjust your receiver and sometimes it's just a little adjustment.

It's not some great big thing.

It's not some great big, obvious thing.

We're always looking for the right thing.

Obvious thing.

We're always looking for the great big, obvious.

I don't see anything.

It's just little things.

Little things can, can hinder your reception, little foxes.

You have to make adjustments to your receiving from God to get the results that you want.

And you know healing provision.

You know the things that you desire don't just fall on you like ripe cherries out of a cherry tree.

I mean, you know, just sit under the cherry tree long enough and finally the cherry hits you right on top of the head.

No, it's it.

Sometimes you've got to do a little adjusting.

And you know we can't just receive based on our status as a spirit-filled believer.

We are, we're spirit-filled believers, we believe in all that, but yet, on the other hand, our receiving.

If there is a problem, it's never with God, it's always on our side.

It's not God withholding, it's not God.

You know just trying to.

You know, reign on your parade.

It's usually a problem with your receiver.

Hence this message.

I just believe it'll help you.

I've had to learn these things over a long period of time and I've learned them and I put them in practice.

So my illustration is growing up in refurry of see.

We moved there when I was 10 years old.

I was in the fourth grade, I went to Procure school, bill his dad went to public school.

So we didn't meet each other until we went to Jennifer Jackson's house and she was having one of these junior high dances where the junior high boys all stood up against the wall like this trying to disappear and the girls were all dancing with each other, and so that's where we met and we were both miserable together that whole evening.

But in refurial, when we moved there, you know we moved from Houston area and Houston, I mean, you know we had television.

We got television a couple of years before we moved.

It was I guess it was 50, it was a summer of 56.

So I mean I guess we'd had TV maybe three years.

I remember when we got television we used to have radio sit around the radio.

Then we got a television.

Oh man, I started laying in front of the television and I would lay there right up underneath the television and I would watch it.

Man, I was a TV a-holic, but when we moved to refurio, the closest TV station is in Corpus Christi, which is, you know, a long way, 50 miles.

You're not gonna get any of the stations with rabbit ears, as a matter of fact, you're not gonna get any of the stations with just a regular antenna outside.

I mean, it's just you might get one, but the other two they had ABC, cbs, nbc, but you could only get one of the stations with a regular antenna.

So we'd lived there for quite, you know, several months and I'm really, you know I'm not too happy, because most of my TV stations, my favorite programs, are number one, they're not on, and number two, you can't get them.

So my dad goes out and he's an early adopter of everything.

So he went out and got like its big old antenna, big old mast.

It went way up and it was a rent house.

We rented it first because they just moved into town.

So we lived right over by the high school on Delmore Street.

So he put this big old antenna up there and it had this motor on it and it was hooked up to a contraption on top of the television where you turn the dial and it would go click, click, click, click, click, click.

Y'all are looking at me like I'm crazy.

See, they didn't have satellite, they had antennas, and so you had to adjust the antenna to get the reception man.

I was always messing with the antenna.

He said you're gonna break the thing, quit doing that.

You know he had to get on me.

You know cause I the picture never would really be that clear.

All right.

Another time, years later, we moved to Portland, texas, which is right across the bay from Corpus, and I was working for a residential development company.

I had to give up my business in Houston because of the depression of the mid 80s so but I got a job down there running a company and there were some houses that had been foreclosed on in our neighborhood and I was interested in one of them.

These were guys from Dallas and they built a Dallas style house and nobody liked them.

Nobody would buy them.

They had a different floor plan and a different look and they just weren't popular.

But I liked it already.

I thought you know, gosh, if I can buy a foreclosure, I might be able to buy it cheap.

And I knew the president of the savings and loan that had foreclosed on these houses.

They were right around the corner from where we were living in Portland.

So I called him and he gave me the combination to the realtors lock box on the front of the house.

So on a Friday evening we went by and some friends of ours, we went in.

I got in, there, got the key was one key and I unlocked the front door and we looked at the house and everything.

And then we went outside.

Outside there was a swimming pool and the side of yard it was a corner house, nice house, I mean.

It had all the bells and whistles on it and I was calculating what I could offer the guy without insult in him and what I could have enough belief to believe for.

And so you know, we were Christians, spirit filled Christians at the time, so I knew a little bit about faith and I had to make sure this was God's plan.

Anyway, we got over there on the side of the house and the sun went down, it got to be pretty dark and I lost my mind.

I lost the key in the grass.

San Augustine grass had been mowed in weeks and it was 12 inches tall and that key fell down in the grass.

It dropped right out of my hand and I could not find it.

And we, man, we start turning all the lights.

Outside.

There was a couple of flood lamps.

All that did was cast shadows because it's up there.

And I mean I started praying in earnest.

Then I got down on my hands because it's Friday night, I'm not going to be able to lock the house up.

I'm going to have to leave it open all weekend, until Monday.

When I call the guy and apologize to him and there's no telling what it's going to mean, I mean you know he's not going to be a happy camper.

And I mean I prayed, I said God, you know where everything is.

My angels know where it is.

I'm just going to trust you, I'm going to go right.

I'm just going to go right in this.

And I just kind of felt like, right in here, it's right in front of me, about six foot in front of me and a little to my right, and I got down on my hands and knees and I hadn't gone two feet and there it was.

Pull that key out.

Oh, glory to God, you know, shouting through the neighborhood.

Sometimes it's just something little, it's something that you've lost, it's something that you've just got to hunt for.

Hey man, is this helping anybody now?

So in the summer of 1994, I went on a trip with Pastor John Osteen to Paris, france.

We were doing a pastor's meeting there and I had a house that wouldn't sell.

It was just.

I couldn't get anybody to buy it.

It took me a couple of years to get it.

I couldn't get anybody to buy it.

Interest was eating me alive $4,000 a month interest, no cash flow, money's going out and I'd live right out of money.

I mean, there's no more money.

If I called the bank I'd say what do you want to do?

I can't pay anymore.

Paid all I can.

House is finished.

Oh well, we don't want the house.

Just let's just wait a while.

So they didn't foreclose and here's just sitting there accruing every month, accruing another $4,000 worth of interest.

You know, three times four, three months is $4,000.

Now, added on to the.

You know it's just stacked up.

So I'm not, you know, I'm kind of like all of you that came up, I'm a little bit distracted going on that trip.

It was weighing on me, the pressure of that situation was weighing on me.

But here I was.

I was there to give out, it was there to help my pastor, and so we were got up early one morning.

We were on jet lag, we still weren't on on parish time and so whenever he got up, I'd get up and regardless, I just tried to be on his schedule.

So he got up at four and you know, we just had to have coffee, wait for daylight.

Then we got out in the daylight, rode down the Sane River on a boat just to get out in the sunlight, try to help ourselves flip over, to get back on the schedule.

And we were about to get on the boat.

He said, john, you look a little heavy.

What's wrong?

I said I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I never, ever, burdened him with my troubles.

I always kept all my stuff to myself.

I never.

He has enough to think about.

I don't need to.

But he asked me so I couldn't lie.

I'm blessed to the Lord, thank you.

I just couldn't muster that.

I know I should have said it.

That would have been the right thing to say, but I just wound up saying that and he just clapped me on the back.

He said well, you're sowing good seed.

So, anyway, the next morning I made our coffee.

He gets up.

We're not rooming in the same room, you know, with two beds.

And so I made our coffee, you know, and he had his coffee.

He said, john, I got a scripture for you and he gave me Jeremiah 31 and Jeremiah 31.

And I mean, that's pretty amazing that somebody like John Osteen has got a word for you.

And he, you know, he kind of preached me a half of a sermon right there at the standing at the foot of my bed, while I'm leaned back in the up on pillows with my Bible open and drinking a cup of coffee.

And he said he said I got this scripture for you, john.

Thus saith the Lord, refrain thy voice from weeping and nine eyes from tears, for thy work shall be rewarded.

Saith the Lord, hallelujah, thy work shall be rewarded, he said in verse seven.

He skipped that little little next little phrase there they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

It's talking about the children of Israel.

He skipped that part and went back to verse 17.

And there is hope in that end.

You know, when it's all said and done, john, it's gonna, everything's gonna work out.

When it's all said and done, john, it's all gonna work out.

Well, you know, that helped me.

It kind of broke that off of me and I could concentrate on why I was there.

And and I got back home and I used that as my jumping off space.

That was in July of 1994.

So I said, well, god, I'm going to start right where he gave me that word.

I'm going to start looking at at Jeremiah.

And and then I, a couple of weeks later, I heard early one morning.

I got up early one morning and the voice of the Holy Spirit spoke to me, not audibly but in my heart.

He said son, you're a minister of the sanctuary.

He told me who I was.

Son, you're a minister of the sanctuary.

Well, I knew that was the book of Hebrews.

I quickly looked it up, hebrews 8, to talking about Jesus who is the minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched, not man.

So the Holy Ghost gave me half of that verse.

He gave me who I was.

It's just five o'clock in the morning, so I go in there and I wake, glad it's up.

I said, honey, I'm fixed to leave and go off.

And you know I had.

I had work to do.

I'd gotten.

My company was hired by another company to do some work for a guy that I knew he was a builder.

He needed somebody to kind of watch over some of his.

He was a build on your lot builder.

So I'd have to leave my house every every day in spring and drive about 300 miles in a circuit looking at all his houses and come back late that evening.

So I woke my wife up I said, honey, it's you know.

God spoke to me.

I.

We're ministers of the sanctuary.

The word sanctuary means holy things.

We've been ministering about the unholy things long enough.

It's time.

I can't split time between it being a home builder and being a minister.

We've got to start church.

We've got to start a church.

And she'd been resistant because she didn't marry a pastor.

In fact she married an engineer.

I'm not.

You know, when I was griping about to the Lord one time, I was griping about Gladys being kind of behind me and not agreeing with me, you know I said she just doesn't see a gift in me, she doesn't see a ministry, she doesn't see a church for sure she says well, yeah, you can understand that because she married an engineer and you didn't even have the integrity to be be an engineer.

And when you told her you're going to go in the home building business.

You didn't consult her, you just informed her and then you went off and did it.

And how has that been working for you?

You know, the Lord knows how to straighten you out if you let Him.

Everybody say adjustments.

So back then I made an adjustment.

He said you leave her to me when it's time she'll be ready.

Don't you concern yourself with her.

You leave her to me, I'll take care of her.

Well, that morning, when I went in there and said honey, it's time for us to get rid of the unholy things, start ministering about the holy things.

We're ministers of the sanctuary.

That was time she heard the word, she seized it and we knelt down together and we agreed and this church is the result.

Come on, lift your hands right now.

Thank God.

Adjustments, little adjustments.

Hallelujah, I found the lost key.

I finally turned the little knob and it just go tick, tick, click, click.

Adjust your receiver.

You know God's already poured it out.

Everything you need is already in the spirit realm.

Everything that's about your life has already been given.

It's for you to discover it, identify it and appropriate it by faith and, of course, so adjust your receiver.

So I've got three things here for you about that.

Let's go back to Mark 11.

Everybody say I'm determined to adjust my receiver.

Mark 11, 24 is where we read let's move down to the next verse, talking about prayer and when you stand praying.

That kind of helps me because you know a lot of people kneel when they pray and I don't prefer to kneel.

I did a lot of kneeling as a Catholic and I just don't like kneeling.

It's uncomfortable for me and I don't get anything out of it.

It just hurts.

After about three minutes I hurt and I don't.

I'm distracted about how my knees feel when I'm kneeling.

So you know it says right here Jesus said when you stand praying so yeah, I stand up and pray.

Mostly I sit and pray anyway.

And when you stand praying, forgive if you have ought against any, that your Father also, which is in heaven, may forgive you your trespasses.

I mean, you know we like Mark 11, 23 and 24.

We quote them quite often but we don't really look at 25 very often, verse 26,.

Let's look at that one while we're at it.

That's even more strong.

But if you don't forgive, jesus is talking.

If you don't forgive, neither will your Father, which is in heaven, forgive your trespasses.

Al this is Jesus talking about prayer.

This is Jesus talking about receiving.

He's talking about receiving here the things that you desire, and then he comes right back and tells you the two big things that you don't.

You know, if you don't forgive, amen, you got a big hindrance.

So make sure you walk in love.

See, walking in love means that you forgive people when they wrong you.

You don't wear it on your sleeve, you don't try to get even, you don't try to curse them, you don't try to pay them back.

It doesn't mean that you have to be a doormat for the devil.

Forgiving somebody doesn't mean just allowing them to walk all over you, but it does mean that we can't have vengeance.

We can't go and try to pay them back like the world does, the world always trying to pay people back.

Pay people back.

I saw a short video today of a guy that was carrying a sign and it was happening to be in Canada, but he goes to these gatherings and he's got a sign and he's standing up for children not being mutilated by this transgender craziness that's going on.

It's insanity.

There's no sign.

I mean these people talk about science like they just worship science and yet they throw science out.

They don't want to hear about science when they start talking about that stuff.

So he just got a sign, that's all.

They're all real revved up.

So here's this woman and she is using the vile language.

I didn't have the audio on because I don't choose to listen to it, but she was saying the most vile things to him.

I could read her lips and so I had to get my eyes off of her lips.

But she was just speaking to him and she was just getting closer and closer and she was screaming at him, trying to overtake his.

He was just trying to make a statement and she was shouting him over and over and over and finally she just couldn't stand it and she attacked him.

Now he's a pretty big guy.

If he wanted to hurt her he would have to do it.

Now he's a pretty big guy.

If he wanted to hurt her he could have hurt her.

He didn't hurt her, but she tried to hurt him.

I mean, she's so filled with the devil, so we're in that atmosphere, so it's not really hard to understand that sometimes these kind of feelings run very hot.

And then our righteous indignation.

You know, bible says a lot was vexed every day by their unlawful deeds in Sodom and Gomorrah.

He was vexed and it's easy to get vexed and if you get vexed you can start walking in an anger, you can start giving it back to them.

I'm not saying we shouldn't lift our voice for the children and for right.

We should cry out for right.

But I'm saying on a one-on-one basis, we have to be careful not to cross the line and get into something that Jesus would never do.

Are you with me now?

Yeah, no one forgiveness, no grudges.

You know, I was at Lakewood Church when Doty.

It was announced that Doty had metastatic cancer of the liver and was sent home to die.

She had weeks to live.

There was nothing they could do for her.

She was 89 pounds.

Everybody wondered what was wrong because she'd just looked like skin and bones.

And the next thing you know, this is what.

And I just admire them.

They don't hide anything, they just put it out there.

Oh, don't tell anybody.

I don't want anybody saying you know, they just told it, get an agreement with us.

The whole church, 5,000 people knew and of course it spread all over town and every preacher that came to town wanted to go out there and lay hands on her.

Well, it wasn't about anybody laying hand.

We believe in that.

But it was about her taking the Word of God and beating the devil and conquering cancer, because she's too mature for anybody else to get that healing for her.

She's gonna have to get it in the end.

In the end she's gonna have to do it.

I watched her in about a year I mean she never missed church she started gaining some weight and then, about two and a half years after they got up on a Sunday morning and says well, you know, dodie's just healed and she's just doing great.

And by that time she looked like herself and she had such a heart for sick people, but especially people with cancer.

I mean she just.

But she told her story and you know she had polio when she was a child and so one leg was shorter and weaker than the other and so in the midst of her having cancer and believing God, she wouldn't let herself go to bed in the daytime, only at night she didn't feel like staying up.

She stayed up all day, every day.

She cooked a whole breakfast for her kids and sent them off to school.

I mean she did everything she's supposed to do, regardless of how she felt, and then she quoted the Word of God.

She had it on the mirror.

She had pictures of herself in younger days.

She had pictures of her and brother.

I was staying right if they first got married.

I mean, she had stuff to remind her of where she had been and one of the things that she said she did.

She said I searched my heart to forgive anybody and listen to this one.

So she actually wrote a letter to a girl.

By the time now this is a woman in her fifties, but when they were just kids, this girl, when they played softball, volunteered to run for Doty.

Doty would hit the ball and this woman would run the bases for her.

So she didn't play the game.

Her job was to run the bases for Doty and she just loved doing it.

I mean, she was glad to do it for Doty, but Doty thought, you know, I took that away from her.

She did that.

I wanna beg her forgiveness for allowing her to do that because she didn't get to play softball.

She ran the bases for me instead and she wrote her this letter and just begged her forgiveness and that lady got back to her.

So, oh, doty, absolutely.

You might think.

Well, that's how crazy.

See, this is somebody that's going through the tall grass.

She's looking for any little fox, any little fox.

Praise God.

Gladys and I were so honored to get to go to Christian television celebrate one of her anniversaries.

What anniversary was that?

35th anniversary, no, 40th anniversary of her healing.

They had a special broadcast.

Gladys and I got to go and sit on the set, whether an interviewer or not.

That was just amazing.

Amazing, for God gets you know things that God lets you do.

All right.

So make sure you walk in love, make sure you forgive, adjust your receiver.

All right now.

1st John 5, one of my favorites.

Let's look at 1st John 5.

You get anything out of this, amen.

1st John, chapter 5, verse 14.

John 5:14

And this is the confidence that we have in him.

If we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us, and if we know that he hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

Now, you know, there are people, there are Christians, that read that and they think they have to pray.

If it be thy will, they'll pray every prayer they pray.

They pray that if it be thy will, lord, and that's not what that means at all.

You should know what the will of God is.

You don't ever pray about something unless you know it's His will.

How do you know it's His will?

It's in the Word.

His Word is His will.

Otherwise, you know it's His will when the Spirit of God gives you a release and you have peace about asking about that thing that you're praying about, not everything that you need.

For instance, it wasn't written in the Bible that I'm gonna pastor Gloria's Way Church.

How did I find out?

I had to find out through a series of revelations and verses, and God speaking to me and walking by the witness, are you with me now?

Make sure so.

Point number two adjust your receiver.

Make sure that what you desire is God's will for you.

Your faith begins where the will of God is known.

Doesn't do one bit of good to pray about something if you don't know what God's will is.

So if we have Sister Jones come up here and sick, we don't say, oh Father, heal Sister Jones if it be thy will.

I mean that's silly.

We already know that healing is God's will.

In fact, we don't even have to pray for Sister Jones to be healed.

Why?

Because Jesus already healed her Himself, took her infirmities and carried her.

So basically, we just need to lay hands on her in the name of Jesus, amen, and release the healing anointing over her.

I don't even I don't ever pray for somebody to be healed, because they're already healed.

They just don't know it or they don't know how to appropriate.

You see what I'm saying.

So make sure what you desire is God's will for you.

Faith begins where the will of God is known.

If you don't know what the will of God is, then in John 16, verse 14, let's rip whip over there real quick.

John 16:14

This is Jesus talking.

Jesus said talking about the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine and shall show it under you.

That's what he did about this church.

I received who I was from him.

You're a minister of the sanctuary, no doubt about that.

I've been ordained for eight years already.

I was recognized as a minister, recognized as a pastor.

Pastor Osteen called me a pastor, so.

But the Holy Ghost had to tell me hey, you're a minister of the sanctuary.

I don't see you as a hybrid.

I don't see you as a home builder.

You know, with ministry as a spare time.

This is what I've called you to do right here.

Are y'all with me now.

So the Holy Ghost will show you what belongs to you.

Everybody say I'm making adjustments to my receiver.

All right.

And then the last one here make sure you ask God to lead you to the area of your life that you need to adjust in order to receive.

Just like I did, I had to pray and ask God to show me where was the key in the grass.

I had to ask God what's wrong, why?

Why is my house hung up?

Why is it not sold?

I built it and then I discovered I built it in presumption.

I built it not according to God's plan.

God's plan was really for me.

I didn't find out all out overnight.

It came over a period of time.

I found out later on that basically that house, the reason it never sold, is because he didn't offer it.

Unless the Lord builds a house, they labor in vain.

That built it, which means that you can get ahead of God, which means that you can desire things that might not be a sinful thing that you're desiring, but it might not be God's timing for you.

That's why you shouldn't ask for it until you know, because when you ask for something out of time, what's gonna happen.

You're not gonna get an answer and then you blame God.

You say well, god said no.

Well, god didn't necessarily say no, you missed the receiving part, your receiver missed it.

I said you're a receiver messed up.

First, corinthians 13 talks about when I was a child.

I thought as a child, I spoke as a child, but now that I'm grown you know.

So it's talking about spiritual growth.

It's talking about you know, we all start in the same place when we're born again.

We're not born again as a college students, you're born again as a baby.

And babies need what Milk, babies need holding, babies need rocking, babies need lots of attention, even in the middle of the night, and you don't get any sleep.

So you know.

Then you grow and really spiritual growth is the same as human growth or any growth, it's just it's gradual.

So when you ask your parents for a car when you're 12, what's the answer going to be?

Hopefully no.

You've got to grow up.

You've got a whole lot of growing yet to do, maturing.

That has to happen before you can get a car, before you can have a phone.

Do you give your child a phone when he's four?

Don't say yes, I don't want to know about it.

Ephesians 4.15 says you know that we need to grow up.

So a lot of things, growing up and maturing in Christ.

It has nothing to do with your age, your physical age.

It has to do with your spiritual maturity, your emotional maturity.

Emotional maturity means that you're see.

That's why in the Bible it said don't lay hands suddenly on anybody.

Don't put people in charge that don't know what they're doing.

You don't put a young man in charge of a church when he doesn't know life.

He hasn't experienced life.

So they had elders in the early part of the church, before pastors came along, and no one had pastors.

They had what they called elders.

That means they were older men that knew the ropes and they had experienced life long enough to have some common sense and could see around the corner.

You don't, you know.

You don't put somebody that's just immature in a position of leadership.

So it's the same in prayer.

You're not going to ask God for some outlandish thing that you're not mature enough to handle.

So then we blame God.

We say God.

Well, god said no, I did have God fell on it.

Tell me no, but I hadn't prayed.

What do you mean?

Well, in the nineties I got interested in Harley Davidson motorcycles.

I knew a couple of preachers that had them, you know, and then another one had got one, another would got one, and I have always loved the sound of a Harley.

There's nothing sounds like it sounds, it's just love the sound.

And I and I just kind of thought, they getting one, I could get one.

But I didn't pray, I didn't ask, I just kind of looked, didn't have a bit of any kind of leadership about it.

I just bought, started buying motorcycle magazines.

My kids one.

One Christmas bought me a coffee table book, this thick of custom Harley Davidson motorcycles, still sitting on my coffee table.

I never look at it, but I did at the time and I just I drooled and I thought, ooh, that'd be nice.

Ooh, that boy, that'd be a lot of trouble to keep.

And I started thinking about how much trouble it'd be to keep it up, keep it clean, you know, and all that.

And so I never did pray, I didn't ask him for one.

I even went by one of the Harley dealers and sat on one, didn't start it, didn't ask for a test drive.

I had had motorcycles in my younger days, little little ones, nothing Honda, suzuki, but not a Harley.

A Harley is a real one, for real motorcycle.

So I'm telling the story.

See, I'm just talking about how you know, I was kind of aiming towards seeing if I was going to even pray about it.

I knew enough not to just jump out there and buy it, and I knew enough not to just ask for it.

I just was waiting around to see if I had a witness.

I never did have a witness, so I just left it alone.

Thank God I wish I'd have left it alone more than not spend all the money on those magazines.

But anyway, one day I wouldn't.

I was buying in my own business, not even thinking anything about it.

I had almost forgot about it.

And he said on that, harley, the answer is no.

Well, I wasn't upset.

I said okay, I didn't even ask him why.

I didn't want to hear why.

I kind of knew why.

It wasn't long after that, one of the guys that I knew that bought one showed up at a meeting with Jamaica Shorts on and he had all the hide off of the side of his body.

He had just gotten to the edge of his driveway, I mean, you know, and fell off his motorcycle, scraped all the hide off of his side.

There it was.

So you know how it is when it scraped that skin off and then it's got it's weeping, you know, and it's just, it's just wet down the side, you know, and he would just.

Every time he took a step he hurt and I thought about that, no, and then another guy that I knew fell off of his and bruised his kidney and thought he almost died.

He took him to the emergency room.

His kidneys were bruised, falling off that motorcycle.

So I got the, I got the, I got the drift.

I'm not coordinated enough my age to own something like that safely.

I'm just giving myself a target on my back for the devil to kill me and he didn't want that for me, see, god.

So I could have found that out if I could, and really that's what it was basically.

Before I prayed, I found out it wasn't God's.

Will you see what I'm saying?

You know, in James, chapter four, verse three, verse two, the last part of verse two, it says you have not because you ask not.

Are you ask and receive not because you ask amiss.

You ask amiss.

Being amiss is because you haven't received your.

Your receiver is is cloudy.

You need to make some adjustments.

You would never ask.

See, like I knew not to ask that for that.

Harley, something inside of me told me I couldn't have it.

But I hadn't admitted it to myself, and so the Lord just went ahead and told me the answer is no, you're not going to have one.

Oh, okay, and I wasn't mad, I wasn't angry, didn't bother me in the least.

I quit looking at him.

Now Jay's got one.

I like it when he rides off and I'm hearing him ride it off and I don't want to ride it.

I'm not going to ride it, I'm not going to even get on it.

I'm not even going to ride on it.

Not that I don't trust him, but I'm just going to stay away from it.

Amen.

But I enjoy watching him ride it.

He loves it.

God told him he could have one, so he got one.

So, as you address your receiver, see, you're going to ask according to what Is God's will for you, and that answers always yes, and you always receive that.

That always come.

It shall come, it shall be yours.

Ask and you shall receive.

Receive what things.

Whoever you desire, when you pray, believe you've received them, you shall have them.

The shall have is when you don't ask a miss, when you ask according to God's will, amen.

So make those adjustments to your receiver.

Ask God to show you what you're missing and I believe you'll begin to see.

Healing will come in more rapid fashion, your financial picture will clear up faster, your breakthroughs are occur more consistently and victory is your middle name.

Come on, lift your hands and receive.

Adjusting your receiver Amen.
