  1. Before we jump into the subject tonight, why don't?

  2. We just open our Bibles to Psalms. 119, Psalms 119, I was

  3. meditating on this chapter late last night and just going

  4. through this. If you ever had the opportunity

  5. to I encourage you strongly read Psalms 119 in one sitting, just

  6. keep reading it. Just keep reading it.

  7. And if you ever want to be challenged, About your devotion

  8. and your love for the word of God.

  9. Compare it to the psalmist words in this chapter.

  10. And look at how the Holy Spirit uses this man to give Insight

  11. concerning the power of the word of God.

  12. And the reason why we reading this is in light of the Bible

  13. study, look at verse 25. My soul clings to the dust give

  14. me life according to your word. Now, you can look at that.

  15. Physically, you can look at that, spiritually, physically in

  16. the sense that he knows that there are those around him that

  17. are persecuting him and are planning an attack on him.

  18. But spiritually, my soul clings to the dust, I'm as good as

  19. dead. I'm so dry.

  20. I need life. And how does that life come

  21. according to the word? The word, read the word heard.

  22. The word received by Faith. Life is imparted.

  23. Look at verse 28. Do you feel like verse 28

  24. tonight, though? You came in with a smile verse

  25. 28, my soul. Melts away for sorrow.

  26. I literally feel like I'm disintegrating in the inside.

  27. I feel like I can't go on another moment.

  28. I don't know how I can stay faithful, because I'm barely

  29. faithful even today. And look what happens strengthen

  30. me according to your word. The Holy Spirit showing us hear

  31. something. No matter what, the malady of

  32. your soul is tonight. There's strength as you sit, and

  33. you hear the word of God, the word of God.

  34. Now, you know what the psalmist is meditating on, you know what

  35. the psalmist is Proclaim? You know what?

  36. The psalmist is finding all this delight in, not the Epistles.

  37. The law. Of all things, the law.

  38. Yes. The law can be another word to

  39. summarize the word of God, but the law, we're talking about the

  40. sacrificial law. We're talking about the dietary

  41. law, we're talking about the dress codes.

  42. We're talking about all the instructions of what to do.

  43. If somebody has a spot on his skin or if there's something in

  44. a house that's concerning concerning disease and he goes,

  45. I love your law. I love those instructions.

  46. I love every detail that you give in The Book of Leviticus.

  47. Why? Because it reveals the character

  48. of God. It reveals the nature of God.

  49. And how much more we? How much more should we be

  50. infatuated? And Intoxicated by this word,

  51. when we have the full counsel of God, I say that this a trust

  52. that as you and I sit here tonight that strength will be

  53. imparted into your soul and as you leave and you go back home

  54. after a long week of work, you will know that you ate from his

  55. table. And that you can go on another

  56. week because of his word. Let's pray.

  57. Father, we pray tonight that we would no matter where Soul sits

  58. tonight you would strengthen us according to your word Lord, we

  59. pray that this Bible study would be delivered in a Clarity of

  60. speech freedom from confusion, Lord, Freedom From Any Spirit of

  61. debate, in an unhealthy way. And we ask Lord that we would

  62. simply see Christ elevated and we would love and adore him.

  63. All the more. So we pray that the Holy Spirit,

  64. your Holy Spirit would grant us the spirit of wisdom and

  65. Revelation law. We That we would know what we

  66. believe in even more, and it would cause us to love you even

  67. more. And it would cause us to go out

  68. with a greater boldness and confidence in who you are and

  69. what you have to offer to all men.

  70. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ.

  71. All of God's people say, amen. there are many titles in the

  72. Bible that describe Jesus Christ.

  73. There are many descriptions that are designated towards the

  74. second person of the Trinity. And I'm sure right now, if we

  75. spend the next five minutes, we can list several common titles

  76. that Christ holds concerning himself and how the rest of

  77. scripture testifies about him. Two of those titles.

  78. Are the son of God. And what's the second one?

  79. The son of man, Son of God, Son of Man, the scriptures describe

  80. Jesus way Jesus defines himself in both ways.

  81. Now when you hear Son of God what's the immediate Association

  82. that comes concerning the nature of Jesus?

  83. When Jesus says I am the Son of God, what comes to mind

  84. concerning his nature? Is Divinity that he is equal in

  85. essence. That he is equal with God, he is

  86. of the same nature. Now when you hear son of man,

  87. what comes to mind concerning his nature, his humanity, and so

  88. the common understanding of Jesus being the Son of God,

  89. Jesus being the son of man, is that him being the Son of God,

  90. deals with his deity, and him being the son of man deals with

  91. his Humanity, right? That's kind of the easy answer,

  92. but the scripture is Go deeper than that.

  93. Because many people who attacked the person of Christ.

  94. Mainly, his deity will often point to the truth that

  95. throughout the scriptures. The title Son of God, or sons of

  96. God, or just simply sun, and reference to relationship with.

  97. God is not just given to Jesus, but given to other persons, And

  98. when you think about the son of man, Jesus had a way deeper

  99. understanding of what he meant. When he said he was the son of

  100. man. And so, what's funny is, when we

  101. think of Son of God, we think immediately deity.

  102. When in fact, the Bible uses Son of God for humans and other

  103. spiritual creatures. And when we think of son of man,

  104. we think Humanity, when in fact, son of man is actually used to

  105. describe deity that funny. And so, back to the point that

  106. often times, people will use these two titles to attack the

  107. person of Christ. And to lower him on the same

  108. level as other created beings to try to discourage us and to

  109. confuse us into thinking that he's not really God In the

  110. Flesh. And so I need several volunteers

  111. just for scripture references. Okay, so let's do this popcorn

  112. style. Don't be afraid to read out

  113. loud. I need somebody to open their

  114. Bibles to don't read it just yet.

  115. We're gonna get all the references out first.

  116. Somebody to pull out, Job chapter 1, Verse 6, Job, chapter

    Job 1:6 Job 1:6

  117. 1, verse 6, just lift your hand if you want.

  118. Job chapter 1, verse 6. Okay, Jennifer Job, chapter 1,

    Job 1:6 Job 1:6

  119. verse 6 and and also 2:1 another person for Hosea Hosea 11:1, Tim

    Hosea 11:1

  120. Hosea 11:1, another person. First Chronicles, 20 to nine and

    Hosea 11:1

  121. ten First Chronicles, Matt 22, 9 and 10.

  122. Another one at Luke 3:38. Michael.

    Luke 3:38

  123. Luke 3:38 to marry. You got the next one?

    Luke 3:38

  124. All Acts chapter 17 38. For another one.

    Acts 17 chapter mention

  125. You got that tumor Another one Romans 8:14 215.

    Romans 8:14

  126. Did you already do one? No, I didn't give you one.

  127. Okay, you get Romans 8:14 15. I feel like you got one, didn't

    Romans 8:14

  128. you? You can have to, it's okay.

  129. What's that first Chronicles? 20 to nine, and ten.

  130. And lastly, Matthew 5:9 who wants Matthew, 5:9, Matthew, 5:9

    Matthew 5:9

  131. Matthew 5:9 Evan. Okay.

    Matthew 5:9

  132. All right, so let's go from the beginning Job, chapter 1 and

    Job 1 chapter mention

  133. listen carefully. If you're reading, Boom, your

  134. voice. So we can all hear Job.

    Job 16 chapter mention

  135. Chapter 16 and in job, 2116. Now, there was a day when the

  136. sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord.

  137. And Satan also came among. Them.

  138. You go to verse 1 as well. Yeah.

  139. So you heard that right? The sons of God came before The

  140. Throne of God. Who knows what the sons of God

  141. are in that context Angelic beings, right?

  142. To one will say the same thing. Again, there was a day when the

  143. sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord.

  144. And Satan also came among them, to present himself before the

  145. Lord. Again, we see this Angelic

  146. beings who identified collectively as the sons of God,

  147. who are approaching the Throne of God, okay?

  148. Who has Hosea? Tim, please.

  149. What Israel, as a child. I loved him and out of Egypt.

  150. I called my son. Okay?

  151. So Israel is identified as who son, son, of, who Son of God.

  152. Okay, so we have Angel like beings collectively referred to

  153. as sons of God we have the nation of Israel as a whole

  154. referred to as a Son of God who has a next one.

  155. Who has first Chronicles 22? Yes, First Chronicles 10:22

  156. behold. The son shall be born to you.

  157. Who shall be a man of rest? I will give him rest from all

  158. the surrounding enemies. For his name shall be Solomon,

  159. and I will give you peace and quiet and quiet to Israel and

  160. his days, he shall build a house for my name.

  161. He shall be my son and I will be his father and I will establish

  162. his Royal throne and is interesting.

  163. So David is speaking to his son. Lemon and is explaining to him

  164. how though he desired in his own heart to build a house for the

  165. Lord. There was too much blood on his

  166. hands. And so God says, you're not

  167. going to build a house, your son Solomon is going to build the

  168. house, he's going to be a man of rest.

  169. He's not going to be a man of war and the Lord refers to and

  170. relates to Solomon as his son and him being his father in

  171. relationship to what that through the delivery davidic

  172. lineage, those who would sit on an Earthly Throne, as a

  173. representative of God would in some sense, relate to him as Son

  174. to a father. So even on a royal sense, we see

  175. this language of son and father that God has given to me or man

  176. who has the next reference in, Luke 3:38, the son of Seth, the

    Luke 3:38

  177. son of Adam, the Son of God, so Luke 3 is a genealogy of Jesus

  178. and at the end of that genealogy we come down to Adam and how is

  179. Adam titled? Can you read it again?

  180. This is the Son of God. The Son of God, Adam created

  181. being you see where we're going with this.

  182. How this title? The Son of God is given to other

  183. created. Beings acts 17:28, acts 17:28,

    Acts 17:28 Acts 17:28

  184. Tamara for him. Okay, so we see there, that Paul

  185. is evangelizing, and as he's evangelizing, he's describing

  186. how Humanity because they are God's created beings are in a

  187. sense, his offspring, not in the sense of you.

  188. And I, when we're born again into his family, but generally

  189. in humanity, we are brothers and sisters.

  190. And so the idea of us being God's Offspring is their

  191. children of God, Sons and Daughters of God so to speak.

  192. Okay? We have Romans 8:14 15 for all

    Romans 8:14

  193. who are led by the spirit of the God are sons of God for you.

  194. Did not receive the spirit of Slavery to fall back into fear

  195. but you have received the spirit of adoption as Sons by whom we

  196. cry Abba Father. Okay, so we're because we come

  197. into Union with Christ we're not just merely God's Offspring.

  198. Like Acts 17:28 says but because we received the Holy Spirit

    Acts 17:28

  199. indwelling in a ceiling us, we now are called sons of God and

  200. we can relate to him as such in a familial sense.

  201. And the loving intimate way, we have been given access to be

  202. called Sons and Daughters of God because of the finished work of

  203. Jesus Christ. But sons of God.

  204. What's the difference between me being called the Son of God and

  205. Jesus being called the son of God?

  206. Lastly Matthew 5:9 will sit on the peacemakers for they shall

    Matthew 5:9

  207. be called sons of God. Blessed are the peacemakers for

  208. they shall be called sons of God.

  209. In other words, those who would reflect and Obey God's will.

  210. In a sense are imitating him and are walking out his nature.

  211. And so they are therefore referred to as sons of God.

  212. So you read through your Bible, you see, all these references.

  213. You see, all these things given two different mere creatures.

  214. And so the argument goes, that Jesus Christ is not really

  215. Divine. In light of all those

  216. references, he is simply perhaps, at best God's most

  217. exalted creature that has walked out in obedience and good works.

  218. Pure in heart. Glorifying God, Etc.

  219. You see how the argument can go. What's so special about the

  220. title Son of God? If it's been granted to so many

  221. others. And the argument is again,

  222. because those titles are given to specific types of people were

  223. obviously walking in righteousness faithfulness,

  224. obedience. So his Christ, but that doesn't

  225. make him divine. And to prove how this is not the

  226. case. We're actually going to go to

  227. one of the verses that is the go-to versus two further attack.

  228. The deity of Christ. Can you think of what that verse

  229. is? It uses a specific word that a

  230. lot of modern translations are not using as much starts with

  231. the letter B begotten. We're going to need you in John

    John 3:16

  232. 3:16. John 3:16 Paul.

    John 3:16

  233. When you get there, can you read John 3:16 to us, please?

    John 3:16

  234. For God. So loved the world that he gave

  235. his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him

  236. should not perish but have everlasting life.

  237. Did you hear it? We know this verse everybody

  238. knows this verse but it's that word begotten, that may cause a

  239. lot of trouble and that would be cotton is unfortunately used as

  240. ammunition to attack the deity of Christ.

  241. What does it mean to be get someone?

  242. Or someone to be gotten to Father?

  243. Someone sure. There's more specific

  244. definition. To deliver to deliver said he

  245. got. He got he got in.

  246. Okay, this is what does it mean in the natural sense?

  247. It's for someone to come into existence by the process of

  248. reproduction. It's for someone to come into

  249. existence through the process of reproduction.

  250. Now, why is that a problem in light of this verse as defines

  251. Jesus Christ, in terms of our theology, Because he's a turtle.

  252. So, so how can the word begotten be used to describe Jesus

  253. Christ. In fact, there are those who

  254. would blasphemously say, mockingly, That Jesus Christ.

  255. You Christians believe is the result of God, the Father

  256. sexually unifying himself with Mary to be get Jesus Christ.

  257. Muslims would accuse Christians of this thought.

  258. And again I really really don't like to go to the original

  259. languages often just because it's important to go there but

  260. we don't have all that resources for us as we can get those

  261. resources but we're not all Greek Scholars here.

  262. But again sometimes we have to and we're going to see how just

  263. a little bit of research into the original.

  264. Can go a long way when you look at the word only begotten, this

  265. is in the King James, but if you see it in the ESV, you won't see

  266. only be gone. What will you see in the ESV?

  267. Only use going to get only, you're not going to get beat

  268. begotten, you can only going to get only new King James nasb.

  269. Will say only begotten a lot of the newer translations will only

  270. say only now only pay attention only and only begotten, even

  271. though it's two words, their deriving it from the same, Greek

  272. word, okay, monogenes, pretty much.

  273. And that word in its right context, actually means

  274. something such as one of a kind or unique in the right context.

  275. It doesn't necessarily mean to come into existence like a child

  276. does through reproduction. It actually means one of a kind

  277. or unique in its right context. And how we can take that word

  278. and prove that just by going to the scriptures and not having to

  279. be a Greek scholar is to see how the word only is used in a

  280. different context to describe a different person that backs up

  281. what we're saying concerning Jesus Christ.

  282. So we need to go to this verse. This is you want to go to John

    John 3:16

  283. 3:16, you want to write something your Bible.

  284. If you write something in your Bible, right?

  285. Hebrews 11:17, Hebrews, 11:17 shows us how begotten?

    Hebrews 11:17

  286. Or only or only begotten? Is far more significant than the

  287. meaning of coming into existence by reproduction, Hebrews 11:17.

    Hebrews 11:17

  288. Can you read it again in the King James Paul, please Hebrews

    Hebrews 11:17

  289. 11:17. Yeah.

  290. By faith Abraham when he was tried offered up Isaac and he

  291. that had received the promises offered up, his only begotten

  292. son. Did you hear it?

  293. In that beautiful chapter, the Hall of Faith, goes on to gum to

  294. Abraham and described how he in faith gave up his son, Isaac and

  295. it defines him as his only begotten son, again ESV will say

  296. only son. Now, why is that interesting in

  297. light of understanding the story of Isaac and Abraham?

  298. He had another son smile yet another son Ishmael, here's

  299. another here's another question. Just this is a side question.

  300. How many sons and total that Abraham have?

  301. 93. 45 total including Isaac and Ishmael.

  302. How many sons of Abraham have Genesis 25?

  303. Can you pull up Genesis 25 1 and 2?

  304. How many sons that how many kids that Abraham have total?

  305. Find out. This is after Sarah passed away.

  306. Abraham took another wife, whose name was what Keturah.

  307. And she bore him Zimmern Josh. N me Dan.

  308. Midian is back and schewe. And then they just goes on to

  309. the genealogist, how many we are there. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, 8 total

  310. a total. Now even if you don't include

  311. Genesis 25, we know that Ishmael was born before Isaac.

  312. So how can the scriptures Define Isaac as only begotten, when

  313. Ishmael was already a teenager that point Yes, unless of course

  314. according to the original language that word begotten or

  315. only are only begotten does not mean to come into existence, but

  316. means being unique or one of a kind in relationship to another.

  317. And so when we take that truth in Hebrews, 11:17, and how was

  318. Isaac unique? He was born to Sarah, Ishmael

  319. was born to Hagar and he was the son of the Covenant.

  320. He had a unique Ich relationship with his father and likewise the

  321. Holy Spirit uses that same imagery and even uses that same

  322. story to be a prophetic picture of Jesus Christ.

  323. Yes, as the Son of God, yes, even that title being used

  324. amongst other people and other creatures, but having a

  325. one-of-a-kind unique relationship with the father.

  326. Do we see? Do see how powerful that is.

  327. So in John 3:16 that is not averse to use to.

    John 3:16

  328. Say that Jesus came into existence by reproduction or any

  329. other. Any other way.

  330. Know what John is saying by the holy spirit.

  331. Is that Jesus Christ? Yes, as the Son of God holds a

  332. unique one-of-a-kind, special relationship with the father.

  333. How so by having an eternal intimate fellowship with him,

  334. even before everything else was created.

  335. How is Jesus Christ unique? Amongst all the other so-called

  336. sons of God, this is how he's unique, he was eternally in the

  337. bosom of the father. That's how he's unique.

  338. So if anything that word only solidifies the reality that he

  339. is, in fact, Eternal, because he's unique because he's not

  340. unlike others, that's what it's trying to say.

  341. Do we see that this is so crucial to understand especially

  342. with a verse like that? That so often used to try to

  343. intimidate Christians, shall we have further proof of this John

    John 20:17

  344. 20:17, we already went through this verse but let's hear it

  345. again. John 20:17.

    John 20:17

  346. It's good to go over some familiar verses.

  347. Jesus said to her, this is after his resurrection.

  348. Do not cling to me for I have not yet ascended to the father,

  349. but go to my brothers and say to them, I am ascending to my

  350. father and your father to my God, and your God.

  351. Now we already settled mainly what he meant by saying my God

  352. and your God, just for the sake of her memory.

  353. Why did he say my God? How can Jesus have a god?

  354. Because he's the God of All Flesh.

  355. According to Jeremiah 32 27. Jesus Christ took on flesh.

  356. And as he took on flesh, he assumed to be in subjection to

  357. God as his God. All Flesh including the

  358. Incarnate son. But let's look at, I am

  359. ascending to my father, and your father.

  360. Now, why didn't Jesus say our father?

  361. He could have I'm sending to our father.

  362. He didn't very specific with his language.

  363. I am ascending to my father and your father.

  364. We can call god father, by what by Grace.

  365. How through adoption, through the finished, work of Jesus

  366. Christ, the firstborn among many Brethren.

  367. We've been given access into the family of God, to be able to

  368. say, Abba Father, but only Jesus Christ has a unique place in

  369. that understanding of him being father in that, he was not

  370. adopted. He was not brought in at one

  371. point in history, he was eternally the son of God.

  372. So he can say my father and your father that's a wonderful Truth

  373. for us. It makes a distinction because

  374. he alone had an eternal fellowship with him.

  375. In an intimate way, read John 1:18.

    John 1:18

  376. It says that he was always in the bosom of the father so close

  377. is so intimate. Depending on your translation

  378. might say he was always at the father's side but it's speaking

  379. about close proximity speaking. About this knowledge of one.

  380. Another that is unique this isn't this is A side verse.

  381. This is powerful. Don't turn there if you can.

  382. Please put up Matthew 11:27 Matthew 11:27 just to hear and

    Matthew 11:27 Matthew 11:27

  383. understand that, this son of God, is unique, all things have

  384. been handed over to me by my father and no one knows the son,

  385. except the father. The sun is e comprehendible and

  386. no one can fully comprehend the sun, except one the father.

  387. Who can say that, what creature can say?

  388. No one can fully grasp me. No one can fully comprehend me.

  389. Except God Alone. And no one knows the father

  390. except the son and anyone to whom the son chooses to review.

  391. Do you see the exclusivity there?

  392. You see that tight-knit relationship there?

  393. Do you see that the Son and the father knowing one another and

  394. whoever has been given access to no father as Father the Son

  395. chooses to reveal to him? So we can't put Jesus though

  396. that title, Son of God are sons of God or son and reference to

  397. God is shared. We can't put Jesus on the same

  398. level as man. Here's another one.

  399. Just don't turn there. You can just pay attention to

  400. the screen and Mark 12. Jesus shares a parable.

  401. Jesus shares a parable, Mark chapter 12 beginning in verse 1,

    Mark 12 chapter mention

  402. we know this This is Matthew can turn to Mark, please.

  403. Thank you. And he began to speak to them in

  404. Parables a man planted a Vineyard and put a fence around

  405. it. And dug a pit for the winepress

  406. and built the Tower and leased it to tenants and went into

  407. another country. So remember tenants, he leased

  408. it to tenants and he left to another country.

  409. When the season came, he sent a servant to the tenants to get

  410. from them, some of the fruit of the vineyard.

  411. Now, if you're familiar with this Parable, who the tenants

  412. represent the Pharisees, the religious authorities of Israel

  413. are the tenants that have been given responsibility to We

  414. manage and cultivate the vineyard and to bear fruit as

  415. the people of God. And in order to gather fruit,

  416. what is the Lord say, says that the owner of the vineyard sends

  417. his servant and now, what did they do to this sermon?

  418. They took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed.

  419. You can go to the next verse Again, he sent them another

  420. servant and they struck him on the head and treated him

  421. shamefully, and he sent another and him.

  422. They killed. And so with many others, someday

  423. beat, and someday killed now, who did the servants represent

  424. the prophets? God, sending one messenger after

  425. the other to come and to continually remind, the people

  426. of who they are in their identity in relationship to God,

  427. and how they ought to walk Faithfully to God, and how they

  428. respond killing destroying beating shaming, and we go on.

  429. He had still one other. A beloved Son.

  430. Finally, he sent him to them saying they will respect my son.

  431. But those tenants said to one another, this is the heir come.

  432. Let us kill him, and The Inheritance will be ours.

  433. And it took him and killed him and threw him out of the

  434. vineyard. I'm either side.

  435. So we have another category. Now, what's the third category?

  436. Only one only one person fits that category, beloved Son, the

  437. Beloved son, who is the heir of all things, concerning the owner

  438. of the vineyard now. Why do we bring this Parable up?

  439. Because we see that Christ in this?

  440. Parable, distinguishes himself, even from the most Faithful

  441. Servants of God throughout the ages.

  442. These prophets that went forth to represent God.

  443. God and to speak forth, his word Christ, elevates himself above

  444. those Messengers who say that he is preeminent and transcended

  445. because he alone was eternally and fellowship in intimacy with

  446. God and he alone is the air possessor.

  447. All things I got almost. So even in a parable like this,

  448. we see that Christ is Sanctified amongst even the greatest of

  449. men. This is a powerful understanding

  450. concerning the nature of God. I want to design a question,

  451. just for the sake of dialogue, and this is important to

  452. understand you maybe it never fought this, but this is

  453. actually welcome to the Christian World.

  454. Geology, this is the baited subject.

  455. This specific question. Jesus Christ, being the Son of

  456. God, it's clear. It's a reality we see here, but

  457. some even amongst Evangelical Christians that are not Heretics

  458. per se. There are two sides to this

  459. understanding of Jesus, being the Son of God, and this is

  460. important to understand. The one side is that the Son of

  461. God, the title Son of God does not necessarily speak about his

  462. nature as much as he speaks about his submissive role that

  463. he took upon himself. And so Jesus Christ, in other

  464. words was not always the Son of God, but he became the Son of

  465. God, not in the game. God not that, he's any less than

  466. God, but he took on the role of Son of God at a specific time in

  467. history. What point do you think that is

  468. his birth? His Incarnation.

  469. So you have some genuine Believers.

  470. I don't deny the deity of Christ that don't deny that.

  471. Jesus Christ is fully. God, they don't deny it.

  472. That they don't, they don't say that he was created.

  473. But what they do say is that when he was born, even through

  474. the miraculous conception, that was the moment where he became

  475. the son of God. Do you notice how this is?

  476. No. Jesus Christ always was the son

  477. of God. I did it didn't happen.

  478. It didn't come into existence that time it was a roll.

  479. It's his nature to years even from the beginning where you

  480. said we weren't stoned you. Don't worry.

  481. Do you? Do you understand this idea of

  482. some, God has more of a role or more of his nature from eternity

  483. past and see why this is important.

  484. This night is not just, let's just argue for kicks.

  485. There's a reason. And what we have been saying?

  486. What position we hold to. Yes he personally I'd say he was

  487. always the Son of God to say that he just took on that role

  488. when he was born as denouncing, the triangle God saying he

  489. wasn't trying being until Jesus got born on.

  490. You could say make the same argument for the Holy Spirit and

  491. the Holy Spirit didn't come into play, until he came down at a

  492. Pentecost. Well, I would say this the those

  493. who hold to that, you don't say that Jesus Christ did not

  494. eternally exist or was not a part of the Trinity is that he

  495. assumed the role of a servant by becoming the Son of God in a

  496. subordinate way. That's what we're trying to say

  497. here. So those who say this are

  498. genuine Believers, and they're not saying that Jesus Christ

  499. didn't exist until he became a person.

  500. They're saying that the title, the role of Son of God was

  501. brought about at the Incarnation.

  502. Yeah I believe in some got is some eternal Ali son.

  503. But there is a verse that always know.

  504. I have a question about it when he said you are my son today, I

  505. have begotten you, so if he's eternally and that verse talk

  506. about eternally is starting today.

  507. I've been recording you like such as there is a certain day

  508. or there is a beginning, so how you reconcile that?

  509. Yeah, we'll get to that. That's a Hebrews 15 speaks about

  510. how the father's is today. I have begotten, you, that's an

  511. important verse. Yes, Because I mean, I'm done.

  512. I'm not denying that like I believe that he's internal, but

  513. that's like within the Trinity, the Trinity was always there

  514. because God is eternal, but I believe that when he came into

  515. the world as a baby you know his birth was him breaking out into

  516. three parts in one. And him taking on that role as

  517. the Son of God I'm coming into the world is when we kind of got

  518. those three. I don't know.

  519. I understand but we understand where you're coming from and

  520. before we move on just to put up, Luke 1:35 to see where

    Luke 1:35

  521. people are coming from to back up that view that Jesus Took on

  522. that role. As a Son of God, his birth Luke

    Luke 1:35

  523. 1:35 and the angel answered. The holy spirit will come upon

  524. you and the power of the most high will overshadow you.

  525. Therefore the child To be born will be called.

  526. Holy the son of God. Jackie had your hand up

  527. so would it be? Would it be?

  528. So you're saying that he was always the Son of God.

  529. But two thousand years ago he became the son of man because

  530. that kind of gives more of a human connotation to it.

  531. It's an interesting view. Okay we're going to see.

  532. We're going to find out in a moment that the son of man has

  533. more Divine element to it than we think.

  534. Yes. I don't want to point out that

  535. and say, okay, no, this is a specific period of time in which

  536. God had begotten cries. I don't hold to that by the way,

  537. when I'm just adding 3 4 5 right.

  538. Right? Right.

  539. It's okay. We like fire.

  540. Fires. Good.

  541. As long as it's safe and it stays within the boundaries

  542. fires good. Luke 1:35, right?

    Luke 1:35

  543. He shall be called. Holy the son of God.

  544. Phoebe. Yeah.

  545. Can you stop being the same guy who didn't have anything to do

  546. with this package, like forgot to offer of his only son?

  547. Seems to me more of a sacrificial things.

  548. Mmm, did you guys hear that perspective?

  549. If Jesus was not the son before his Incarnation, then does that

  550. dilute the sacrificial? Love that God displays in

  551. sending his son into the world. That's a good point.

  552. Yes. This is good fires, good.

  553. Anybody want to add some more fuel to the fire?

  554. Maybe going back to John, 3:16 God.

  555. So loved the world. Sure he gave his son.

  556. How can that language be used for the second person of the

  557. Trinity when he wasn't born yet. My son is mentioned in the Old

  558. Testament, psalms and Proverbs, and Psalms to, and Father's Day,

  559. right? Son of God.

  560. Or son of man. Just some kiss, the son, lest he

  561. be angry and you perish. Okay, so so in the Old

  562. Testament, we see that there is reference to the sun before the

  563. Incarnation. That's the point.

  564. That's a beautiful Point. Yes.

  565. Paul. The people would say that that's

  566. a reference to Future event. That's so it's prophetic, it's

  567. not a present reality. Why are you sure?

  568. Yes. Cautions 1:16 says, at the end

  569. it says everything was created through him and for him.

  570. So meaning like it's God. And then for him at the same

  571. time, sure. Yes.

  572. It's a beautiful verse of defendant deity of Christ and

  573. nobody would deny again, that Christ was divine before his

  574. Incarnation but the Argument is he wasn't always known and

  575. referred to and related to within the internal relationship

  576. of the godhead as the sun. Is this important we're is this

  577. important. It is important.

  578. Okay? Any other input or opinion or

  579. versus before we dive into it and want.

  580. Yeah. Okay so another verse the back

  581. of the deity of Christ sure she wasn't the Sun.

  582. What was he A good question. Here's another one.

  583. If he wasn't the son, was there a father?

  584. So son. No, son before Incarnation.

  585. Then can we relate to God as father?

  586. And we've talked about the Trinity and we talked about how

  587. God is referred to as father in the Old Testament.

  588. So now we got some trouble here, don't we?

  589. Father of who Is it just a random thing that God has given

  590. himself? No, I just have a verse that

  591. interesting. So the Lord said to my Lord

  592. capitalized, it's a prophetic Psalm.

  593. Right? And I think we can go back to

  594. Paul's argument to say yeah, we see that this is speaking about

  595. Jesus but this isn't speaking about necessarily present

  596. reality as much as it is speaking about a future event.

  597. Did you contact your father? I think

  598. you really added fuel to the fire.

  599. Yeah, it's a good fuel though. It's good because oftentimes

  600. people will point to that. I'm not saying you're doing

  601. this, but I'm saying, oftentimes, People point to that

  602. prophetic verse to say, how There's no distinction within

  603. the godhead, because the sun is referred to, as the Everlasting

  604. Father, which I would simply argue that we can go in depth

  605. with that would simply argue. It's not making the Son and the

  606. Father, the same person but it is saying that the sun does

  607. carry a fatherly like characteristic and love and

  608. compassion and care. Yes,

  609. probably thirty three and four. Mmm.

  610. Yeah. So we speak with right, right,

  611. right. Right.

  612. The holy ones, son. And that's what many Anna was

  613. bring up. Psalms chapter 2 and Proverbs

Psalms 2 chapter mention Proverbs 30 chapter mention

  614. Chapter 30. We remember we spent time to see

  615. how the Sun the Not just Jesus, but the son that title is found

  616. in the Old Testament. So yes for Shadows.

  617. What's going to happen? Obviously Jesus, is that coming

  618. to completion and that playing out.

  619. So I feel like the concept of the sun was there the whole

  620. time, but then I feel like it also poses, the question, why on

  621. Earth then did we go through the entire Old Testament of, you

  622. know, making sacrifices with animals or like, whatever.

  623. Like why didn't you just come in sooner, then and then Where's

  624. the purpose of how important his birth is and him coming into the

  625. world, to fulfill that purpose? So I guess like I feel like the

  626. concept of the son, the Holy Spirit and as that was all there

  627. and obviously it existed because the three-in-one and Father's

  628. Eternal and he's always existed. But I feel like that role coming

  629. in the play didn't come into play until until his

  630. incarnation. I hope we can stay friends.

  631. Luke 1:35, if you can bring that up again please and the angel

    Luke 1:35

  632. answered her. The holy spirit will come upon

  633. you and the power of the most high will overshadow you.

  634. Therefore, the child to be born will become the son of God.

  635. No, I didn't say that. The for the child to be born

  636. will be called holy the Son of God, there's a big difference.

  637. There's a big difference between being called and becoming to say

  638. that Jesus Christ was called the Son of God does not indicate

  639. that. And this moment he assumed the

  640. role of sun in relation to the godhead, what it does do though

  641. is affirm the miraculous conception and birth of the Son

  642. of God declares that he Is the Son of God, it does not make him

  643. the Son of God. So many of those who would say

  644. that it was at this moment that Jesus became the Son of God.

  645. Have to explain where in different moments and different

  646. events, the main events of Jesus life death burial, Resurrection

  647. Ascension, have to explain why he's referred to and identified

  648. as a Son of God in those moments as well.

  649. This will make sense when we go to the reference.

  650. Romans 11 Romans. One.

  651. Romans 11 and will read 2 verse 4.

  652. And we'll see what we're trying to argue here.

  653. Paul a servant of Christ Jesus called to be an apostle set

  654. apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand

  655. through His prophets in the Holy scriptures, concerning his son

  656. Okay, who was descended from David, according to the flesh.

  657. Now, look at this end was what declared to be the Son of God in

  658. power. According to the spirit, when

  659. was he declared to be the Son of God, of Holiness, by his

  660. resurrection, from the dead? Jesus Christ, Our Lord. so, if

  661. he was called, Son of God at his birth, What do we do with a

  662. purse? Like this?

  663. That says that he was declared to be the Son of God and Power

  664. by his resurrection. Unless of course the scriptures

  665. are not saying we can go to different events especially his

  666. Ascension unless of course these verses are not saying that in

  667. those moments in those Supernatural events.

  668. That was the moment that he was begotten.

  669. That was the moment, he was referred to as the Sun but that

  670. his miraculous birth his, conquering victory over death.

  671. Shout it to the world. This is the Son of God.

  672. Do we see? It's not saying he became the

  673. Son of God. Those events are only.

  674. Identifying him as Son of God. It's just affirming that he is

  675. truly God In the Flesh. He is truly God over death, he

  676. is truly God's son in which God has ascended him and approved of

  677. his death and his sacrificial work on behalf of humanity.

  678. Does that make sense? It's identifying, it's not

  679. saying that he became that thing or became that role.

  680. Here are some verses to back that up Just Popcorn.

  681. Versus we can see him on the screen.

  682. You can write them down first, John. 414.

  683. First John 4:14? And these versus what they do is

    1 John 4:14

  684. really just prove that Jesus was referred to as the son before he

  685. came into the world. And we have seen and testify

  686. that the father has sent his son.

  687. To be the savior of the world. He sent his son to be the savior

  688. of the world so he didn't become the son at the Incarnation.

  689. He was son before he was sent first.

    1 John 3:8

  690. John 3:8. First, John 3:8, whoever makes a

    John 3:8

  691. practice at all. This verse always gets me,

  692. whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil.

  693. John is of the devil for the devil has been sinning from the

  694. beginning. The reason now look at this is

  695. powerful, the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the

  696. works of the devil. So the Son of God was always the

  697. Son of God and he manifested himself as the Son of God to

  698. destroy the works of Satan. The Works of the devil.

  699. What's the works of the devil, many things.

  700. And here's one of them, the power of sin over our lives, the

  701. Temptation that he brings that you.

  702. And I can now say no to because of the indwelling power of the

  703. Holy Spirit. The reason the Son of God

  704. appeared was to destroy. But the main point here is the

  705. Son of God appeared, the Son of God, manifested himself, Here's

  706. one more glacius for for Galatians 4:4.

    Galatians 4:4

  707. But when the fullness of time had come God sent forth his son.

  708. Born of woman born under the law.

  709. Do you see the order there? Sent forth his son to be born of

  710. woman to be born under the law. Let's just read it just because

  711. we can rejoice in this gospel. Truth to redeem those who were

  712. under the law that we might receive adoption as Sons.

  713. Amen. Now let's go back to that point

  714. of why is this important? Why is this important it?

  715. Can we can we maybe dialogue about that.

  716. Why is it important to realize that Jesus was always the Son of

  717. God and that he became the Son of God at one point in history?

  718. Bring because of his relationship with God.

  719. That it. He took it to mean one of the

  720. reasons why we believe that that kind of relationship.

  721. I think you guys just cover the main points when we understand

  722. that God the father and God the son always existed that they

  723. assume those roles in those were there, there identify their

  724. identities in essence, we understand that their

  725. relationship is so much richer than we can imagine.

  726. We understand that it enriches the understanding of the

  727. community within the godhead. A loving father and the son

  728. being the object of his love and vice versa.

  729. Always existing always being there.

  730. Now, you remove son you by default.

  731. Remove father and now we have a nameless God before Jesus Christ

  732. became incarnate More, right.

  733. So I think what's to understand, is that Son of God is not a

  734. role, as much as it is an identity and Christ him in

  735. nature, being the Son of God. And so we see that in enriches,

  736. the relationship within the godhead.

  737. And not only that, it provides a greater depth and understanding

  738. the love of God for all Humanity when he sent forth his son, his

  739. son. Now there are some young parents

  740. in here. Could you imagine giving up your

  741. child not for a world? That's Going to be saved

  742. necessarily, but for Rebels and enemies against you. so we

  743. understand that there is this richness and realizing the

  744. Eternal sonship of Christ and relationship to the father and

  745. in relationship to us being Redeemed by The godhead in

  746. Harmony and in love for one another and for us to come up

  747. with this salvific plan to save us.

  748. So this is important for us to realize, let's not undermine the

  749. love of God by failing to realize that he was eternally

  750. the son. Now, we stablished that right,

  751. we established the fact yesterday.

  752. I believe what you're saying. And Hebrews 1.

  753. Yeah that's mean if you look at it that's mainly speaking about

  754. his Ascension. So again we see we see we see

  755. the Incarnation, we see Resurrection, we see Ascension

  756. Hebrews 1, read the verses proceeding that and you realize

  757. that he's speaking about his Ascension.

  758. And so remember all these Supernatural events are just

  759. saying, this is the Son of God. This is the Son of God.

  760. This is the Son of God. It's just shouting.

  761. The fact that he is in fact God That's the simple explanation.

  762. We can spend a whole bible study on that alone, but I hope that

  763. makes sense. We stablished that Jesus Christ

  764. is God's only begotten son, meaning that he holds a unique

  765. one-of-a-kind relationship with the father since he eternally

  766. existed and had fellowship with the father, unlike any other,

  767. but does the Son of God mean, more than that.

  768. Does the term Son of God, especially in the gospels mean

  769. more than the fact that Jesus amongst all the other sons of

  770. God had a unique relationship with the father.

  771. Yes, it does. When Jesus referred to himself

  772. as the son of God. Remember that title was used for

  773. rulers that title was used for Adam that title was used for

  774. those who walk righteously with God.

  775. So how do we explain that title being given to Mere creatures

  776. and the offense? That came from that title as it

  777. struck the Pharisees, you guys probably know what versus we're

  778. going to go to in a moment now, John 5.

  779. Let's go to John 5. John 5 is rich in understanding

  780. the sonship of Christ, and let's just go there so that we can

  781. chew on this for a moment verse 17 of John chapter 5, But Jesus

    John 5 chapter mention

  782. answered them. My father is working until now

  783. and I am working now. Look what John comments here.

  784. This is this was why the Jews were seeking all the more to

  785. kill him because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was

  786. even calling God his own father making himself equal with God.

  787. Now it begs the question again what is the big deal if that

  788. title has been referred to? Regarding other people for Jesus

  789. to say, son of God and them to be so offended by it.

  790. Now let's go to the same book but chapter 19 and see how this

  791. is enhanced even more John chapter, 19, 6 and 7. so, when

  792. it comes to Jesus trial, Verse 6 says, when the chief priests and

  793. the officers saw him, they cried out, crucify him, crucify, him

  794. pilate said to them take him yourselves and crucify him for.

  795. I find no guilt in him, the Jews answered him, we have a law.

  796. And according to that law, he ought to die because he has made

  797. himself the son of God. I challenge us tonight to find a

  798. law in the Old Testament. It says you should be put to

  799. death for referring to yourself as a son of God.

  800. It was a normal term. It spoke of those who

  801. represented God who are in authority and had to make

  802. judicial decisions. He's calling himself, Son of God

  803. and we have a law that says that he needs to be put to death

  804. because of that. There is no such law in the Old

  805. Testament. unless of course, when Jesus was declaring himself

  806. to be the son of God, their minds realize that he was making

  807. himself equal with God being of the same essence of God.

  808. And so, the only law that they can go to that with demand him

  809. to be. Put to death is Leviticus 24:16.

    Leviticus 24:16

  810. Leviticus 24:16 says, something about blasphemy against the name

    Leviticus 24:16

  811. of the Lord, and will read it, and we'll see why their behavior

  812. makes sense and the association that they're making between

  813. Jesus declaration. And their reaction.

  814. Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to

  815. death. All the congregation shall Stone

  816. him. Isn't that funny?

  817. Every time you remember those moments in John, where he says

  818. that he is God, I and the father are one with the they do as a

  819. reaction. And want to Stone him.

  820. In light of this, he's calling himself equal with God, he's

  821. elevating himself to godhood. He's claiming to be divine,

  822. let's kill him. And after failing and failing

  823. and failing. They eventually partnered with

  824. the Romans to get him crucified instead and they appeal to this,

  825. And now this is important because we have John commenting

  826. that they were reacting to this because Jesus was calling

  827. himself, God we have the Pharisees assuming and accusing

  828. that Jesus Christ was claiming to be God.

  829. This is Jesus himself. Understand himself to be God,

  830. that he declared that from his own lips.

  831. There's anybody knows scripture verse before we go to, before we

  832. go there. Before we go there, let's

  833. establish this. Let's establish this.

  834. Okay, that the New Testament audience the Jewish people.

  835. Mainly we can all agree on this. I hope understood That Jesus

  836. Christ, referring himself or being identified as the Son of

  837. God, meant that he was equal with God, in essence in nature

  838. and Divinity, do we all agree with that?

  839. We argue that, right? So this is good.

  840. If you're having a conversation with somebody and you bring up

  841. that point you point these two these verses say, would you

  842. agree that the people understood rightfully so that this idea of

  843. Son of God meant that Jesus was in essence?

  844. The same as God, they say, yeah. But Jesus never said it, maybe

  845. he did. Yes.

  846. Well, in the Book of John, you have, John the Baptist, who

  847. during the bathroom scene, you can see, you know, like he like

  848. before when the saying in 32 said, I saw the Spirit

  849. descending from heaven like a dove, any remained, upon them.

  850. And then 34 saying and I've seen and testified that this is the

  851. Son of God, this is John the Baptist testifying right, okay.

  852. So we have John the Baptist, the Forerunner testify and we have

  853. John commenting and giving commentary we have the Pharisees

  854. accusing. Where's Jesus.

  855. How about affirmation we take that from God?

  856. The Father. Oh God, the Father Who?

  857. Well, Peter saying that, he's the son of God.

  858. Okay. Say Flesh and Blood.

  859. That's a good one as well. That is a good one.

  860. Yes. That's a powerful one.

  861. In fact, put that one in the records.

  862. Absolutely, yes. Go ahead.

  863. Mike. Yeah, last chapter the Bible.

  864. Okay. Yeah, Revelation is the go-to

  865. book. If you want to prove the deity

  866. of Christ, absolutely there is there is that as well?

  867. Yes, Jesus himself said, I'll come by the spirit.

  868. David said, in Psalm 110, the Lord said to my Lord, yeah,

  869. that's another one, right? He he placed himself in that

  870. prophetic, Psalm that he was, in fact.

  871. At God, though he was a descendant of David.

  872. Absolutely, here's the one I'm thinking about.

  873. For me, when I read this verse light bulb went off.

  874. And I thought to myself just memorize that reference and

  875. bring it. Bring it before.

  876. Anybody is a go to verse Matthew. 26, Matthew 26.

  877. Verse 63 to 64 Matthew, 26, 63 to 64.

  878. This is when Jesus was Being interrogated, essentially, and

  879. in verse 63, look what he says this is so powerful.

  880. Oh, this is so rich, but Jesus remained silent and the hype

  881. reset them. I adjure you by the Living.

  882. God, tell us. If you are the Christ, the son

  883. of God, Jesus said to him, you have said, so there it is.

  884. As plain as it could be, tell us.

  885. And what did he have? In mind.

  886. He had in mind, not that you're like, other sons of God, tell

  887. us. If you're the Son of God, the

  888. one who is equal with God are you saying that?

  889. Are you saying, have you been saying that this whole time and

  890. just goes, you have said so. You have said so it's right

  891. there. It's plane.

  892. It's so obvious. It's so clear.

  893. And now we're making a transition, our Bible study

  894. because Jesus adds another layer to his nature.

  895. What does he say then the high priest were other before that.

  896. But I tell you, from now on, you will see, not the son of God.

  897. Son of Man. He could have got going with the

  898. idea of being a Son of God but now he throws in this title that

  899. we've been discussing or mentioned in the beginning.

  900. Rather, son of man seated at the right hand of power and coming

  901. on the Clouds Of Heaven. now if this was in a big deal, if this

  902. was him identify himself like any other sons of God or son of

  903. man, meant that he was just a mere human, which it does have

  904. that idea, especially in the Book of Ezekiel Why would this

  905. high priest do this? Then the high priest tore, his

  906. robes and said, he had uttered blasphemy?

  907. What further witness do we need? And I would say the same thing

  908. to anybody that would attack the deity of Christ.

  909. What further witness do, you need?

  910. We have a written plane. Jesus said you have said, so

  911. what else do you need? You have now heard his blasphemy

  912. now. Son of man for Jesus to say, son

  913. of man, that title that phrase that description can refer to

  914. someone who is of human origin. If you've ever read the book of

  915. Ezekiel, you see that God continually refers to the

  916. prophet, as son of man. Son of man, son of man, son of

  917. man. And I'm sure many people know

  918. here, word, Jesus was going with this statement.

  919. What Jesus had in mind and what the Pharisees had in mind.

  920. When he says I am The son of men.

  921. Yes, why would the Bible tell? Tell the people to Stone

  922. someone, if they claim to be equal to God, if we know that

  923. Jesus will be, proclaiming that he is equal to God.

  924. Well, they didn't believe he was God, so he was saying that, and

  925. they didn't want to believe it, so they wanted to kill him

  926. instead, because they thought he was obviously not who he claimed

  927. to be at the Bible doesn't actually, it doesn't actually

  928. say kill those that. Say that they are God.

  929. Right? Right.

  930. I hear what you're saying but what they were trying to do was

  931. they were saying that this was Blasphemous for a mere human to

  932. equate himself. To God is blasphemy.

  933. And so they Associated this claim of him, being the Son of

  934. God or God being his father on the same level as blaspheming,

  935. the name of the Lord, for many reasons to bring the name of the

  936. Lord down to whatever reason is involved with that statement,

  937. but they equated it to blasphemy and they wanted to kill him for

  938. it. So they appeal to Leviticus

    Leviticus 24:16

  939. 24:16 and they denied, the obvious claim that Christ was

  940. trying To make yes. Now believe he was referring to

  941. the Book of Daniel. That's it.

  942. Daniel chapter 7 when he said the son of, man, this is a key.

    Daniel 7 chapter mention

  943. Foundational understanding. What the son of man means in

  944. light of Jesus, use of it. Hey, we're closing here.

  945. And Daniel 7:13-14. The vision that the prophet has

    Daniel 7:13–14

  946. is the very Vision that Jesus gleans from to make himself

  947. known as more than just a mere man.

  948. This is what Daniel says. In verse 13, I saw in the night

  949. visions and behold with the clouds of heaven with the Clouds

  950. Of Heaven. Jesus said that there came one

  951. like a son of man. Now what Daniel saw was a Divine

  952. being, as we're going to find out who looked like and had the

  953. form of a human. That's why he's saying that one.

  954. Like a son of man one like of human origin.

  955. I'm seeing a man but we're Going to find out that this son of

  956. man, one like a son of man is beyond just a man.

  957. And he came to the Ancient of Days now who's the Ancient of

  958. Days? The father.

  959. So right here we have two distinct persons.

  960. Now go to verse 9 and let's realize that this son of man and

  961. this Ancient of Days are more equal than we think.

  962. As I looked how many Thrones replaced Thrones were placed,

  963. not one thrown plural, Thrones were placed and the Ancient of

  964. Days took his seat, his clothing was white as snow and the hair.

  965. Of his head like pure wool. Does that sound familiar?

  966. I think I've read that somewhere Revelations chapter one like

  967. father, like son, his throne was fiery flames, it's Wheels, were

  968. burning flyer. The point that we have to make

  969. here is that there are Thrones and there's already one being

  970. who took his seat and in verse 13, in comes one like a son of

  971. man. And what he's about to do, take

  972. his seat on his throne. I saw in the night visions and

  973. behold with the Clouds Of Heaven that came one like a son of man

  974. and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented.

  975. Rented before him. Now we're going to realize that

  976. this person is more than just a man.

  977. Because look what subscribe to him.

  978. Look what's granted to him and to him was given dominion and

  979. glory and a kingdom now, okay? That was given to David and some

  980. sense that was given to Kings that represented God and through

  981. the nation of Israel. But I'll go Stephen that that

  982. all peoples Nations and languages should serve him.

  983. That word serve is very significant.

  984. It's more than just obeying his commands.

  985. And in fact, the notes worship His Dominion is an everlasting

  986. Dominion. That's important.

  987. It's Snot, a temporary Kingdom. Its Everlasting.

  988. We shall not pass away and his kingdom one, that shall not be

  989. destroyed. Now we can go to Daniel chapter

    Daniel 2 chapter mention

  990. 2 and show how this Kingdom. Who is being ushered in by Jesus

  991. Christ, is in fact pointing to his deity, we won't do that

  992. tonight. We can go through the rest of

  993. the day of the prove it, but we won't just, let's focus on this.

  994. Who is this? Son of?

  995. Man, that has an everlasting Dominion.

  996. Who is the son of man were all people, no matter their

  997. ethnicity, their culture. Their language will come and

  998. serve him. Jesus says, I'm Batman.

  999. Very specifically Jesus says, you will see me coming down the

1000. on the clouds from Heaven. Go back to verse 13.

1001. If you could please, Sarah see what he says here.

1002. I saw in the night visions and behold with the Clouds Of

1003. Heaven, that's an important phrase.

1004. Don't just don't just see this beautiful site realize, the

1005. theological significance of clouds of Heaven.

1006. Why is clouds of Heaven important can anybody guess why?

1007. Clouds of Heaven is important? Because looking Muslim has a

1008. time, I just came up to met God on the mountain.

1009. That's when that's when he's able to interact with him.

1010. Okay. So you're pointing back to that

1011. and I think there's you're very close to understanding how this

1012. relates to God, how this relates to God.

1013. Is this is that one Clouds Of Heaven speaks of heavenly origin

1014. but to this idea of clouds of heaven and activity associated,

1015. with it is an element that is solely and uniquely described

1016. and appointed to you. Way. now, we're going to see the

1017. Trinity again, so, clouds of heaven with the Clouds Of Heaven

1018. that Visual. It is solely, if you read your

1019. Old Testament, very carefully, solely granted to the Lord

  1020. capital L ORD, Isaiah 19. 1 can go to Isaiah, 19, 1, and we're

  1021. closing here in a moment. Isaiah 19, 1.

1022. In Oracle concerning Egypt behold, the Lord is riding who's

1023. writing the Lord Yahweh? The deny Divine name of God.

1024. The Lord is riding on a swift. Cloud and comes to Egypt, and

1025. the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence and the Heart of

1026. the Egyptians will melt within them.

1027. So, this idea of God, coming in swiftly, on a cloud in Act of

1028. judgment in an act of judgment, he's coming on.

1029. A cloud is ascribed to Yahweh. We see the same thing in Psalms

  1030. 104 1, 2 3, Psalms 104 1 2 3. So we see that Yahweh is riding

1031. on a swift. Cloud and comes to Egypt, bless

1032. the Lord, O My Soul, O Lord my God, you are very great.

1033. You are clothed with Splendor and Majesty, covering yourself

1034. with light as with a garment stretching out the heavens like

1035. a tenth verse 3. He lays the beams of his

1036. Chambers on the waters. He makes the clouds his

1037. chariots, his cheery, he rides on the wings of the Wind.

1038. We go to Nahum. We'd have to turn in their him,

1039. says how the clouds are like the dust of his feet.

1040. And so, we have these verses that show how these clouds and

1041. God being associated with them. Mainly in the looks like as an

1042. act of judgment coming to rule coming to intervene in a

1043. specific moment is granted solely to Yahweh but not just

1044. Yahweh. Because when you go to Daniel 7,

1045. it's given to the son of man. Not just to this one.

1046. Like a son of man by Jesus. I'm coming down with a Clouds Of

1047. Heaven. Here's our final verse.

1048. Before we worship this, God Revelation 1:7.

    Revelation 1:7

1049. Just to put the final nail in the coffin.

1050. Behold he is coming with the clouds.

1051. And every eye will see him even those who pierced him and all

1052. the tribes of the earth will wail on account of him even so,

1053. amen. He's coming back on the clouds

1054. and when he said that the high priest knew exactly what he

1055. meant his mind's racing, all the way to Daniel chapter 7 ripped,

    Daniel 7 chapter mention

1056. his robe. And said, let's get rid of him.

1057. So we established and conclusion that this idea of God, being the

1058. Son of God means that he is uniquely related to God as the

1059. Eternal son and also claiming to be equal with God in essence and

1060. nature based on the reactions of those who heard him say such a

1061. thing, the son of man does not only speak about his human

1062. nature, though, it can describe that, but more significantly, it

1063. describes Daniel chapter 7. The deification.

    Daniel 7 chapter mention

1064. The OT, the Divinity of this man like figure, that was really God

1065. who became flesh who is flesh, who is coming back on the clouds

1066. and every eye will see him even those who pierced him.

1067. I think about this and this isn't part of the Bible said but

1068. just this versus come to mind. Right before the Bible study

1069. about the love that the father has for the son.

1070. How it's a unique love how to special love because it was

1071. eternal was before all creation. We become the objects of his

1072. love through adoption as we respond to the gospel.

1073. But do you ever wonder what the intensity of that?

1074. Love is for you and me. John 17:24, please.

    John 17:24

1075. John 17:20 we've already established that there is a

    John 17:20

1076. unique relationship that Jesus has with the father because it

1077. was eternal before eternity past.

1078. And now here, are you and I coming into relationship with

1079. the father and look what Jesus says in his prayer.

1080. Father, I desire that they also whom you have, given me may be

1081. with me where I am to see my glory, the verse before that,

1082. but we can read this. You have give me because you

1083. loved me before the foundation of the world, i in them and you

1084. in me that they may become perfectly one so that the world

1085. may know that you sent me and love them.

1086. Even as you love me. Let's read that very slowly, I

1087. and them. And you and me that they may

1088. become perfectly one. So that the world may know that

1089. you sent me and in sending me, what are you making a statement

1090. of God? What statement is god?

1091. Making by sending his son and loved them even as you love me.

1092. Having a bad day. I get that theologically but I

1093. need to feel it in my heart. What?

1094. I get the theological but I need that to be the source of my

1095. strength. Lord, I need to realize that So

1096. when I don't feel loved, I have the love of the Father.

1097. The same way he loves the Sun. Wow, he was eternally the son.

1098. I'm adopted by grace. but the intensity of his love for the

1099. Eternal son is the same intensity of love for me an

1100. enemy and rebel of God, I was brought in because the sun came

1101. show me your God and tell me if he's as beautiful as this.

1102. because you will find no other, I guarantee you that Making your

1103. prayer to say. Lord, let me really feel that.

1104. Let me really know that. And you know why you're going to

1105. go to heaven, and I'm going to go to heaven, many reasons, but

1106. verse 24, we went there ahead, but let's just read it again.

  1107. Father. Oh, I desire.

1108. This is Christ. Did I have for you and me?

1109. I desire. That they also whom you have,

1110. given me may be with me where I am now listen to this.

1111. What did Jesus say? Or what's the commentary when

1112. Jesus appointed the 12 apostles? Mark chapter 3, says that he

    Mark 3 chapter mention

1113. appointed Twelve Apostles that they may be with him and that

1114. they may preach in his name. Don't flip the order.

1115. It's not that they made preached in his name and be with me.

1116. Their main reason why Jesus appointed the 12 was primarily

1117. to be in fellowship with them. And from that place of

1118. Fellowship, now go preach my name.

1119. Realize my love realize how much I care for you realize the depth

1120. of My Sacrifice, you realize that it's nothing that what you

1121. do or how you perform that earns my love.

1122. I want you to be with me. I point you to be with me now go

1123. preach. The best preachers understand

1124. the love of God. The best preachers are those who

1125. know fellowship with God, those who are most effective in their

1126. evangelism. Those are most effective in the

1127. service of God. Have put this priority.

1128. First OU wants to be with me. Before he wants me to do

1129. something for him. I desire that they may be where

1130. I am but not just to be with me what to see my glory.

1131. To see my glory that you have given me because you loved me

1132. before the foundation of the world.

1133. We've been studying the person of Jesus Christ and I hope that

1134. you and I have come to the conclusion that he's glorious.

1135. These wonderful that he's Majestic that he's holy and

1136. Sanctified amongst all the things.

1137. But there's a glory that we have yet to see him.

1138. There is a Brilliance of Christ that awaits for you and I to

1139. Marvel at what proof second Thessalonians.

  1140. Please second Thessalonians, chapter 1 7 to 10 and let's just

    2 Thessalonians 1 chapter mention

1141. hear the final faith of those who reject the gospel, and those

1142. who embrace the gospel, and to Grant relief to you, who are

1143. afflicted as well to us. When the Lord Jesus is revealed

1144. from heaven with his mighty angels, we talked about that in

1145. flaming fire, so he's not coming down an acute cloud.

1146. Inflicting Vengeance on those who do not know God.

1147. And on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus, they

1148. will suffer the punishment of Eternal destruction away from

1149. the presence of the Lord. And from the glory of his mind,

1150. that is the final fate of those who have said no to, Jesus

1151. Christ who have rejected God who don't want to know, God who

1152. don't want to embrace his grace. That's the final fate, but

1153. what's the fate of you? And I who have embraced him and

1154. loved him and surrender to him the next verse when he comes on

1155. that day to be glorified in, Saints.

1156. Look at this and to be marveled at among all who have believed

1157. you want to know what's going to happen when we go with him.

1158. We're just going to Marvel at him.

1159. We're just going to look at him. We're going to be stunned by

1160. what we're going to see how long are we going to be stunned for a

1161. thousand years? Oh yeah and then another

1162. thousand years oh yeah another 10,000 years oh yeah add a

1163. million years to that and we haven't even reached we having

1164. to scratch the surface of how much we're going to Marvel at

1165. him who have believed. So Christ in that prayer says

1166. those who have given me mord. Father, I want them to Marvel at

1167. me. I wanted to be with me so that

1168. they can behold my glory. And that's why you can say what

1169. the psalmist said in Psalm 73 25.

1170. Whom have I in heaven, but you, Jesus, if you're not in heaven,

1171. I don't want to go to heaven. There are a lot of people that

1172. want having with Jesus in there. But I want to go to heaven

1173. because I want to Marvel at him. I want to Behold Him.

1174. I just want to look at him and my prayer.

1175. I pray as yours as well. Lord, I feel the veil.

1176. I feel the limitation of My Flesh.

1177. I feel the limitation of my mind.

1178. I feel the limitation of even understand this.

1179. I need your Holy Spirit to illuminate.

1180. God, give me as much of your glory.

1181. As I can on this side of Heaven. Before I see the fullness of it.

1182. I don't want to waste my life, just waiting for that day.

1183. I Want Your Glory. Now as much as I can handle.

1184. Fill my cup to the brim. Lord speak to my heart.

1185. As much as you can reveal yourself and Lord when your

1186. glory shines, that all the lights of the world them out.

1187. So you can receive my devotion to adoration until my final

  1188. breath. Let's pray.

1191. fact, the son of God. is in fact the son of man, Lord, your word

1192. is still true. We feel the weight of its

1193. conviction. We sense the supernatural in it.

1194. We realize that this is not an ordinary text. but from cover to

1195. cover, It confirms the reality of Who You Are.

1196. And it confirms what you have done.

1197. And it promises, what will come. and Lord despite this

1198. technologically advanced age and despite all of our knowledge and

1199. creasing and all of the busyness and all of the things that

1200. seduce us We realize in this moment that one day, you're

1201. going to come on the clouds. And you're going to have

1202. dominion and Reign Over all these things forever and ever.

1203. And Lord we don't want anybody in this room to be on that side

1204. where you will flick Vengeance on those who do not know God and

1205. have not obeyed, the gospel of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

1206. Well, we pray that every person by your grace and by your spirit

1207. even now is he's here. To convict any heart.

1208. That is not made that decision so that they can be on the side

1209. in which they can await the moment where they will Marvel at

1210. your glory forever and ever and ever.

1211. And Lord we pray now, even as we sing to you a you would just

1212. give us a glimpse of your glory. that Lord, we would Worship you

1213. in light of the glory that is revealed in the Bible.

1214. But oh God, for the sake of our own hearts.

1215. Remove the veil. Lord thin it out.

1216. We want to see you. We want to behold you.

1217. And let the light of the gospel of Christ.

1218. Let the light that shines forth from the face of Jesus.

1219. Blind us from everything else. Captivate our hearts again.

1220. Bring us in again, Lord. Help us realize that the father

1221. loves us. as much as he loves his son, I can't comprehend it.

  1222. I don't deserve it. It doesn't make sense.

1223. But it's true. And that's our motivation at the

1224. sin against you. That's our motivation.

1225. Not to live our lives for ourselves.

1226. That's our motivation to say. Oh God. if you can love me with

1227. such intensity, Help me love you with greater intensity.

1228. Yes. Lord tonight we worship you in

1229. song in Jesus name. Amen.

1230. Yes. Lord tonight we worship you in

1231. song in Jesus name. Amen.
