God' Healing Power 2

Let's wave our bibles around, let's make Jesus glad.

The devil may I say this together Say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad that healing power is available to me today.

It's available to those whom I love.

I have a message for them.

Jesus loves you and he's made provision for you.

I don't have to get everything and be the perfect example of everything to share with people the good news of the Word.

I will not be held back in Jesus name, amen, praise God.

Let's turn in our bibles to Luke, chapter five, please, and we're going to continue about where we started last week, about God's healing power.

You know, 2023 is the year of God's power, and so we're underlining and examining different kinds of power that are contained in dunamis, which is supernatural power, and of course, the other word, translated power in the New Testament, is execio, which is authority.

And Luke, chapter five, verse 17, speaking about Jesus came to pass on a certain day as he was teaching that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which would come out of every town of Galilee and of Judea and of Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

And then, in Acts 10, 38, peter preaching to Cornelius and his kinfolk in his house speaking about Jesus.

And God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with a Holy Ghost and power who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.

And so we examined last week about.

You know, my heart is to arm you with weapons and ammo that you can use for yourself and for those that God brings to your feet, brings it into your path.

You're going to meet people that have needs.

I mean, I look back over my ministry.

It's just amazing how God just intersected me with people I never met before and suddenly they got ministered to, miracle after miracle.

Somebody was in heart failure and got healed of heart failure.

You know, doctor said he had to die.

His heart was given out.

Man, 35 years old, three kids, God healed him.

Man with migraine headaches, 32 years, suffering, suffering, suffering.

God delivered him, god healed him and God saved him after that.

Oh, come on, let's lift our.

I'm telling you, when people get healed, they're ready to get saved.

Sometimes we get it backwards.

We try to get people saved and they don't.

I mean, you know, it's just hard to get them to boy.

I tell you, when God touches them and heals them, not that hard then, so anyway.

So last week we discovered three facts on God's healing power.

Number one it flows when the switch of faith is turned on.

You know we got to turn on the switch of faith.

Faith is, faith is is involved, and so we talked about developing a systematic discourse.

You know, jesus said in Mark 11, 23,.

Therefore, what uh, whosoever should say under this mountain, which means just to talk to it.

You ought to talk to your mountain, not pray about it.

Be thou removed and be thou cast into the station.

I doubt in his heart shall believe the thoughts sayings which he saith shall come to pass.

That word, saith, is a Greek word Lego.

The first one was Epo, the second word, it said saith, it's Lego.

It means a systematic discourse, it means keep on saying it.

Now you've got to believe it, can't just be a parrot and say it, but you've got to mix faith with what you're saying.

And if you're not saying it systematically, then you're.

You're being up one day and down the next.

You're saying one thing one time and you say I got healed Sunday.

Oh, but I know, see, I mean you've got to hold on to the healing, no matter how you feel.

System, everybody say systematic discourse.

So another word you've got to say, you've got to say by the stripes of Jesus, I'm healed.

Say it, say it over and over again.

And then you've got to number two.

You've got to see yourself well, in other words, number yourself among the healed.

I can't stress this enough.

A lot of people see themselves as sick, trying to get healed.

Well, that's the wrong perspective.

You've got to get God's perspective.

God's perspective is that you were healed.

1 Peter, 2, 28 says you were healed.

When are you going to get lined up with his perspective?

Because if you're, if you're still saying, yeah, I'm going to get healed, yeah, I'm going to know, you got the wrong tense.

Amen, you were healed.

So your perspective is that you count yourself, no matter what the symptoms, say you may have the worst symptoms and you may be in more horrible pain, you may be in all kinds of trouble physically with all kinds of symptoms, but your mouth is saying I'm healed and you and you see yourself as healed.

You're a healed person, resisting those symptoms, resisting sickness and disease.

That's your say, instead of the other way around.

Say you're a sick person trying to get healed.

Oh, I'm trying to get healed.

No, no Say, change your perspective.

See yourself.

Well.

We talked about the woman who whose stomach was swollen up with tumors.

She was giving up the dye.

Brother Hagin just gave her Proverbs 4, 20 through 22.

Abide, and you know, let my word abide in you.

See yourself well.

And she said, began to see my stomach flat and I could even see my feet at first, and every day I just see my I'd see with the eyes of my feet.

And finally that stomach flattened out.

I started making plans to go.

She was a preacher, evangelist, healing evangelist.

She had.

She was reasoned.

A lot of churches had started, she had ministered to ministers.

I mean, she's really an apostle.

A lot of the early days of the Pentecostal movement you had women apostles, never mind women preachers.

There were women apostles.

If there hadn't been women apostles, there wouldn't be any churches hardly, especially in the third world and the developing nations.

Just forget about the men.

The men are dead heads, it's the women.

You get the women Telephone, telegraph, telewoman.

I'm telling you right now, they're gonna get with it.

You mean, you believe in women preachers?

Are you kidding?

Of course, my goodness, how can you read your Bible and get so fouled up with religion?

All right.

So then the next one.

Because you say you're healed, and because you see that you are healed, you count yourself healed.

Then you gotta act healed.

You gotta act on your faith.

You gotta act like Faith.

A really simple definition of faith is acting like the Bible's true One good prayer is the Lord.

Okay, and I believe I'm healed.

How do I act, my faith?

What way can I act, my faith?

I can tell you what Dodie Osteen did.

Dodie Osteen was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the liver, and if they had had stages back then, in the early 80s, they would have given her stage 17 because there was nothing they could do for her.

They sent her home to die.

They didn't have hospice, they wouldn't put her in hospice.

I guess I don't think that.

Of course, hospice is where you sign up for dying.

That's where you give up and say, okay, give me enough drugs to keep the pain away, no matter if it kills me.

And I'm not against that.

I'm not saying that that's wrong, I'm saying what it is, though.

It means that you've signed up to accept death and, as a believer, once you do that, well, there's not much point in trying Now if you're an unbeliever.

There's, you know, with God, all things are possible.

I'm gonna pray for somebody, even if they, you know they're hurting, they're trying to get away from the pain.

I can certainly relate to that.

I can understand it.

We have great sympathy, or I should say compassion, for people.

But anyway, she and her brother, those things said well, we believe in miracles.

Well, she's gonna need one.

Well, we're gonna get one.

Well, it wasn't instant and they sent her home.

We were there, we were there all that time.

89 pounds she never missed a church service.

She wouldn't let herself go to bed.

She felt like going to bed.

She was so weak and she was so.

You know, cancer of the liver, and it's metastatic.

What does that mean?

It's spreading, it's in your liver.

So all your blood is going through your liver and it's picking up cancerous cells and sending it to every organ in your body.

That's serious, isn't it?

But you know what?

She started acting like she was here.

She said what does a sick person do?

Goes to bed and just gets ready to die.

What's a well person do?

They get up and clean the house, they cook breakfast for their kids and send them out the door with their meal, with their lunches packed, going to school.

And so she did.

She just stayed up.

Did she feel like it?

No, she resisted the symptoms.

See, it's so important.

She puts pictures of herself all in her house up on her mirror in the bathroom, when she'd get in and fix her hair and get herself looking like you know.

I mean, you get up in the morning and you don't do anything and don't put any lipstick on, don't put any makeup on, don't fix your hair.

You're gonna look kind of sick anyway.

Once you get to a certain age you know, past about 25, if you do that, people are gonna look at you.

And if you don't believe it, man, if you go to a Pentecostal church, tell you not to make.

Go to a Pentecostal church and see these people with no makeup on.

Man, whoa, first church of the undead, all right.

So I believe in makeup.

I believe in makeup.

It's just easier on eyes.

I've gotten into it now.

Wow, might need a ride home, but she put pictures of herself when she was young and vibrant, you know, and she liked to ride horses.

She had a picture with her next to a horse and she I mean she just pictured her.

She saw herself.

Well, oh, glory to God.

You know there's we have.

I wanna load you with the ammo and to give you the weapons it takes to not only possess your healing but others as well.

Help others to possess theirs.

Yes, so we talked about that last week.

Now this week, turning on the switch of faith to activate God's healing power, we've got some other things that I saw here in Luke, chapter five.

So let's continue reading, cause you know the power of the Lord was present to heal them and there's no record of them, any of them being healed.

Say they didn't turn on the switch of faith.

Let's find out what they did do.

And behold, men brought in a bed a man that was taken with a palsy verse 18.

And they sought means to bring him in and delay him before him and when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude.

See, there's a multitude of people in that house.

They're crowded in there, standing room only no room.

They're crowded in the front door.

They're crowded or they're men there.

There's no way to get in there.

So they went up on the house top and led him through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

Just picture that.

I mean here's four men carrying a cot with this man on it.

He's paralyzed, he's got the sentence of death.

Palsy is the sentence of death.

You know there's no recovering from it.

There's no way you're gonna get over it.

There's no healing and they'd forgotten their healing covenant.

They had a healing covenant with God.

He had revealed in Exodus 15, I'm the Lord at Helethid, jehovah Rapha.

I'm Jehovah Rapha.

He revealed himself as the healing God.

And yet here they were and they were not receiving their healing.

So Jesus had to teach them.

Jesus had to go out there and see.

Unbelief can be cured by teaching.

That's why I'm teaching this and I teach the same thing over and over and I don't care.

I mean you need to hear it over and over.

I don't worry a bit about whether I've preached something before Now this particular message.

I went ahead and made a whole list of notes.

I had never preached it this way before.

I just felt in my spirit that we needed to dedicate a couple of weeks on healing alone just the healing power.

There's all kind of power, but healing.

Have you noticed how many people are fighting for their lives?

We've got some in this church that are fighting for their life and I wanna arm them, I wanna give them what they need.

The word All right.

So, man, I mean he had to have faith to stay on that cod.

No, leave me out here.

I'm not going up on the roof.

Are you kidding?

You might drop me and break my neck?

No, he figured, you know, if they drop me and break my neck, at least I'll die quick.

So they go up on the roof, break a hole in the roof.

And when he saw Jesus, saw their faith, see their faith, it was the faith of not only the man but the four friends.

He said unto him man, be healed.

No, he didn't deal with the healing.

It's obvious he needs healing, but he didn't deal with that.

He said man, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Man, thy sins be forgiven thee.

And the scribes and the Pharisees and the wooden seas and the good and seas began to reason, saying who is this?

We're speaking blasphemies.

Who can forgive sins?

But God alone.

But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he, answering, said unto them why reason in your hearts Whether it's easier to say thy sins be forgiven or to say rise up and walk, which is easier?

I love that.

He just dicks them right, right between the eyes.

So, but you may know that the son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins.

He said unto him, with the sick of the palsy, I say unto thee arise and take up thy couch and go into thine house.

And immediately he rose up before them and took up that wear on, he laid and departed to his own house.

And what's the next word?

Glorifying God, praising God, thanking God.

Sometimes we don't spend any time thanking God, we just want what we want and then we get it and then we forget about it.

But he glorified God all the way home.

I can just picture him.

I mean, here he had to be carried and now he's on the same pathway back to his house and he's got to sleep number bed on his back.

I mean, I'm telling you right now I hope not, I hope it wasn't that heavy, all right.

So, and then verse 26,.

And they were all amazed.

This is the dead heads, this is the unbelievers, this is the ones who.

None of them got healed.

God's power was there.

You can't tell me that wasn't one of them in there that had back trouble.

Not one of them in there was, you know, had had heart trouble.

Not one of them in there had any problem.

No, there had to be a multitude of people, there had to be sick people in there, but yet none of them were healed.

Why?

Cause they didn't turn on the switch of faith.

They turned on the switch of religion, the switch of suspicion and doubt and unbelief.

Who does he think he is that healing passed away?

Healing passed away.

Yeah, some churches still say that I'd get out of there, I wouldn't go one, I wouldn't give them another nickel, I'd get out of there, all right.

So they were all amazed and they glorified God.

And they glorified God.

They glorified God.

I'm telling you, healing, when it occurs in the church, causes everybody that was previously unbelievers.

It forces them to glorify God and we're filled with fear.

Maybe we don't know what we thought we knew, maybe we were a little hasty.

I'll tell you when somebody gets up out of a wheelchair, a lot of people that were doubters start to become believers.

When people had stage four cancer and all of a sudden it's all gone.

Thank God for what doctors can do, but doctors cannot do what God's Word is.

Doctors cannot do what God's Word can do.

Doctors can't do what Jesus does.

They can't.

Really, all medicine is just basically treatment to allow your own body to heal itself.

Most of these medicines, and even the radiation, is tricking your tissues into kicking in, to overdrive, to attack, and if it can't do that, it's not successful.

It's not successful.

Modern medicine is mostly just experimental.

You should go down there and you're seeking to get.

I'm not trying to say that you shouldn't go.

I'm not saying that Doty would have gone if there had been any treatment for her.

They would have considered it.

There wasn't any, but today there's lots of treatment.

You still need to pray, though, and get a release from the Holy Ghost as to your way of escape and delay a disease from killing you long enough for your faith to kick in and take over.

So if somebody told me I had stage four cancer, I'd do what I could to stop it and get my faith kicked in.

I wouldn't trust the chemo or the radiation alone.

I would make sure the Word is active.

I'd be doing all this, what I'm talking about today.

All right.

So they were all amazed.

Verse 26,.

They glorified God and were filled with fear, saying we have seen strange things today.

Strange means the Greek word paradoxos.

It means extraordinary.

We have seen extraordinary things today.

We've seen things we ain't never seen before.

See, this is what.

If we don't have healing power in the church, we're gonna lose this generation.

There's no way to reach them.

There's no way to reach them with arguing and just words, words, words.

Yes, the word has power, but you've got to have demonstration.

It's an optional folks, your healing is not optional.

There are people watching you and they're wanna know is this real or not?

I've known this person a long time.

They seem to be love Jesus.

Is he just gonna let them die?

See, your healing is so important.

It's not just for you, it's for everybody that you know.

All right, so we've got out of these verses three more ways to turn on the switch of faith, because that's so necessary.

We gotta have that switch of faith turned on.

I mean, I told you the story coming into sanctuary during the week and it's pitch black in here, but there's those lights coming through the door, just like right now.

You turn all the lights on.

There's light out there, but it disappears about midway down this aisle and when you get up here you can't see your hand in front of your face and my foot hit the bottom step and I fell flat on my face across this platform.

How dumb can you get?

Still breathe?

Why would I do that?

I thought I had enough light.

Why didn't I just turn on the switch?

Cause I came in the wrong door.

The switch was over there and I came in there.

Instead of just turning around and going over there where the switch was, let's turn on the switch, let the light flood in, let the power flood in.

All right, the first one that I see is turn on the switch of love.

Love is our only commandment.

What did Jesus do?

The very first moment he saw the man In the, he knew that he was paralyzed.

He said a cot, what a sight.

And he didn't move to heal him.

He moved to forgive him.

He had obstructions for his power, the power, the healing power of God to touch him.

He had to get rid of the sin.

He had to be forgiven of sin.

Love is our only commandment.

If we're going to be healed, we've got to.

We've got to make sure we've been walking in love and if we, you know Mark 11, 25 and 26 says and when we stand praying, forgive if you have all against any, because if you don't forgive, then your sins are not forgiven.

See, so you've got an obstruction right away when you're not walking in love toward others.

You know, a good test is 1 Corinthians 13 and the amplified.

You can test whether how solid is my love walk, because until your love walk is solid and until you identify certain things that you need to change, you've got obstructions.

You need forgiveness yourself, but you can't get it because you've got to hold an unforgiveness toward somebody else.

You grudges, jealousy, strife.

Strife is not love.

Arguing with people getting all flustered and see this is going on out in the world and what's in the world will try to get its way, find its way into the church and destroy unity and love and love plus unity, jesus told me, is miracles.

Are y'all with me now?

I mean, yeah, this guy, he had friends that loved him and he loved them enough to let them usher him into Jesus presence.

I mean, love, love got him before Jesus.

Love.

We've got some people that aren't here, that need healing.

We're gonna take hold together with them this morning and we're gonna love them and we're gonna agree with them.

Are you with me now?

So you know, forgiveness is not a feeling, it's not an emotion.

Forgiveness is simply a spiritual where, by faith, you say you know, I released this person.

It's not your commentary or your approval of their actions towards you.

It's not like you're ignoring what they've done to you.

You just hold them harmless.

You just say, look, I refuse to get even with you, I refuse to try to get back at you.

I release you in Jesus' name.

It's not forgetting, see, because you've got a brain.

You've got a brain that's got all kind of wiring in it.

You have a memory.

You can't get rid of memory.

You're not God.

God can forget, but you can never forget what someone's done to you negatively.

It doesn't mean that what they did to you was insignificant.

I've had people do all kind of terrible things, say all kind of things, lie about me, and I forgave them.

Number one, number two, I prayed God's mercy on them.

And number three, if they were members of my church, I released.

I pulled back my pastoral covering off of them because I can no longer be responsible for their spiritual protection.

That's what I did, and sometimes I see these people.

Do I have a warm, fuzzy feeling when I see them?

Do I just go?

Oh, I missed you.

So you know what I do.

I'm polite.

I treat them with respect.

You know, if they stick out their hand, I shake their hand.

I don't say a bunch of fake things like, oh, I've missed you so much.

Well, actually I haven't missed them.

I'm kind of glad to be rid of the conflict, but that doesn't mean I haven't forgiven them.

I have forgiven them, and if the devil tries to bring all this negative stuff in my mind, I'll just say with my mouth thank God, I've forgiven them.

Well, years ago I looked at you, I'm free.

Thank God, I'm free.

See, when we forgive, it frees us up that other person.

You know, I don't recommend that you come up to somebody and say, well, I've forgiven you.

I don't recommend that course of action.

That's not what's necessary.

What's necessary is between you and God.

I hope this is helping somebody Turn on the switch of love.

If you're married and your wife is next to you, I want you to practice with them.

Turn to her and say this honey, I was wrong, I'm sorry, please forgive me.

See, just do that every morning when you wake up, first thing, first, before you do one thing.

Just do that, right there.

There, three little phrases.

It'll set you free.

Set you free why?

Why would you want to fight about what's right or wrong.

I'm telling you it was a blue coat.

I know he was wearing it.

No, honey, it was a red coat.

No, it was a bling, and it just argued back and forth.

Right fighters Do you know what a right fighter is?

It just has to be right.

It has to have the final word.

Listen, you're going to have to correct that.

It's the little foxes that spoil the vine.

I know we're laughing, but really those little things mount up and create tension.

They create strife, they create a difference.

That's where the devil is trying to get in families.

He's trying to create differences.

He's trying to create a lack of agreement.

Agreement is the most powerful force of the family Agreement.

Are you with me?

Are you with me now?

Praise God, be determined to walk in love.

Okay, so turn on the switch of love.

Number two, the thing I see here turn on the switch of fellowship, fellowship with other Christians, especially people in this church.

If you're a member of this church, then fellowship with the people in this church and make that a priority over fellowshiping with people that have no godly purpose in your life, except that you've known them, maybe you worked with them.

They may or may not be a Christian, and even if they're a Christian, they may not even walk in the same realm of the kind of teaching that you have, and you spend a lot of time trying to counter their negativity.

Some people are trying to talk you right out of healing.

Well, you know, I realize you're sick.

You need to have you ever here, read this book.

It's all about coping.

You need more coping skills.

You need to be able to have you ever prayed the prayer of serenity here.

Here's the prayer of serenity.

Pray the prayer of serenity.

I used to know the prayer of serenity, but it makes me so mad when I read it that I've forgotten it.

Lord, help me to know the things that I can change and the things that I can't change, and the grace to know the difference.

I mean the things I can change and the things that I can't change.

You can change anything.

God's power can change anything, first of all.

So the whole premise of the dumb prayer is not a prayer out of the Bible, it's another theory.

So if you've got friends like that, well you know, I'm not saying you know, unfriend them on Facebook or anything like that, but just don't make them a priority of fellowship.

Fellowship is, you know, going out to eat with somebody, getting to know somebody.

Don't be a lone ranger.

I say that lone ranger, see, that dates me, because that's the 50s.

And so if you didn't grow up watching the lone ranger, you don't have any idea what I'm talking about.

I don't know why they called him the lone ranger, because he always had tanto with him.

So he wasn't.

Oh.

So the lame man was in fellowship with friends who loved him enough to believe with him.

They were.

We need each other.

Hebrews 10, 24 and 25,.

You know, neglect not.

The assembling of yourselves together is a manner, some is.

I know people think that's coming to church and it is coming to church.

But a symbol means get together as puzzle pieces.

I'm telling you, you fit together, there's a fitting together.

Ephesians chapter two talks about fitting yourself together and being assembled, and God is building a holy temple under the Lord.

See, he's doing that with individual members.

So we need fellowship, we need each other.

When we're not close to each other, see, then you're lacking somebody that can, that hears what you hear when you come to church and believes the way you believe.

And then, when you're going through something, it's very profitable to have people you can talk to, that will help you and take a hold of if you need somebody to take a hold of you, caught and carry you.

Awhile when I was in ICU, my family carried me for a few days.

I'm telling you I was too out of it.

I had sleep deprivation and all these drugs in me, open heart surgery.

I couldn't walk.

I was man.

I was so my family huddled around me and they grabbed a hold of me.

I'd tell them when they'd come in, I'd say, just grab me, Find a place to grab me, and grab me.

I wanted their life coming into me.

Well, if I needed it, we all needed it at times.

Amen.

So you know, james four eight, I had this verse over our young people, our teenagers, when they went to camp.

God gave me a word drawn near to God and he'll draw near to you, james four eight.

And so we usually think about drawing near to God vertical, but the Bible teaches that we are all temples of the Holy Ghost, that the Holy Ghost lives in the church.

So then it also means draw near horizontally.

We ought to draw near to the God in each other.

You know God, you know God lives in them.

Turn to your neighbor and say you know, god lives in you.

Turn to the other side God lives in me.

See, draw, draw near to each other.

Don't just take you know, don't?

Well, I don't have anything in common.

Well, you don't know you don't have anything in common till you get to meet them.

But you have to make an effort.

So turn on the switch of fellowship.

And then, finally, the last one we read about, turn on the switch of faith, of praise.

Excuse me, turn on the switch of praise.

He glorified God all the way home, the lame man after he was healed.

And even the Pharisees glorified God, they said.

The Pharisees glorified God.

They said we have seen strange things today.

We've seen extraordinary things.

And when you look up that word, say it means systematic discourse.

It changed the confession of the unbelieving doubters.

They were forced to say you know what?

I fear, God, because I saw something I didn't think was possible.

And this guy I've never seen a guy with palsy heel before, and he not only was healed, he walked all the way home with a bed on his back.

Man, this is, this is blowing my mind.

We might've been, we might've been a little hasty in our judgment.

You see this, this is what we've got to have when we praise God.

What are we doing when we're praising God?

We're praising God not after the manifestation of healing.

We're praising God when we believe we've received it Mark 11, 24.

Therefore, what things, whoever you desire when you pray, believe you receive them and you shall have them.

So the time to praise God is right after you believe you receive.

And there may be symptoms still raging.

There may be all kinds of things going on.

The doctor may say well, the PET scan says it's, it's spreading.

Well, your blood test says that.

You know you're in heart failure.

You know.

Well, the test show.

The CAT scan shows a tumor.

Dah, dah, dah, dah.

What are you gonna do?

Just break?

No, you start lifting your voice and praising God, not for the trouble but for the fact that you were healed, no matter what anybody says.

What are they limited to?

They're limited to just their five senses.

That's all they can see.

But praise is supernatural.

Glory to God, while symptoms still persist.

Brother Hagin talks about a young healing evangelist.

He was in his 30s, had a very successful ministry.

Now, back then, very, very little light on what I'm talking about this morning.

Believe in the Word and getting your healing with the Word of God and most people were limited to receiving their healing through the gifts of the Spirit.

So they would go to meetings and, of course, the healing evangelists.

They all had tents.

Most of them did.

Brother Hagin never did have one.

God told them to go in the churches.

But the rest of these guys, they had big tents, some of them seating 10,000 people.

They traveled the country and people would be healed.

But many times people would lose their healing because they go back to their old, dead church where there's no food, there's no feeding, there's no preaching on healing, there's no revelation there about faith and the devil steals it.

I mean, just because you're healed doesn't mean the devil's gonna let you stay that way.

So this young man had a successful ministry but he was diagnosed with cancer and he got weaker and weaker and finally he had to come off the field.

He had to quit preaching, and his wife.

They had to leave their home and move back to her parents' home.

They had a farm in Corsicanna, texas, and he got so weak they put him in a back bedroom in a bed and he was bed fast, getting weaker by the day.

Nothing the doctors could do Back then there wasn't anything they could do for cancer except surgery.

They didn't have anything.

And so here he is, got a wife and couple of kids, and here he is in a bedroom by himself.

Everybody's gone.

They're out there in the back 40, farming and doing what they do.

And it was a beautiful day, looked out the window and they saw this clump of trees about 50 yards from the house.

And he said you know what, god, if you just give me the strength, I'll get out there to that clump of trees and I'm gonna pray, I'm gonna storm the gates of heaven.

Anybody ever heard about storming the gates of heaven?

I mean, give it up, the gates aren't closed, they're open.

You don't have to storm them.

See, it's just religion.

Now he had healing.

He had real healing, a gifts of healing, but he didn't have any revelation of faith, he didn't have a revelation of the Word of God.

So he said, if I can, lord, just give me the strength to get out there, I'll lay under those trees and I'm gonna pray until my healing manifests.

And so, man, he started getting up out of that bed, he started walking and crawling and finally just crawling and got up under those trees and he was so tired he'd just lay in face down in the dirt and he started thinking.

He said, you know, he couldn't pray, he's out of breath.

There was no breath left in him.

So he was alone with his thoughts.

And the thought came to him and says you know, I wrote a letter to all the churches that I'd preached in the last five years.

There must be hundreds of Christians praying for me.

If each of those hundreds of Christians prayed five minutes and all that praying hasn't healed me, I don't know what good it's gonna do for me to pray.

I think I'll just praise him.

I'll praise him.

See how many of you know the Holy Ghost is dealing with him by the inward witness.

I mean, he took his desire and turned it just a little bit and says well, let's switch gears.

Now, son, you've done all the praying you need to do.

Now you need to praise.

He didn't know it out of the Bible, he just knew it by the inward witness.

Glory to God.

And so he, you know, turned over on his back, you know looking up at the leaves of the tree, up into the sky, and started just, oh, I praise you.

All he could do is whisper I just praise you, lord, for my healing.

I praise you for my healing, lord.

And a little while later, you know, his voice got a little stronger and he felt a little strong enough to kind of get up and lean up against the tree.

Now he's kind of sitting leaned up against the tree and he's speaking in a normal tone praising God.

A little while longer he said I'm gonna get up and praise him and say God up.

And suddenly a voice came to him says now you've done it.

You've crawled out here to these trees and nobody knows you're here, and the only way they're gonna tell is when the birds show them where you're at.

See, the buzzards are gonna come eat his body.

Isn't that a lovely thought?

Well, he had enough sense to know that that was the devil talking to him.

See, that's the devil because he's on the right track now.

I mean, he's on the right track and the devil is trying to get him to relax this switch of faith through praise, you see, because what's he doing?

He's praising God in the midst of dying, but he's not praising God for dying, he's praising God for healing.

So he knew that was the devil.

He didn't even pay any of his mind.

He said I'm gonna praise him that much louder.

And he started getting a little louder and then he stood up and he walked out in the open and he lifted his hands and he started shouting thank you, lord, for my healing.

Glory to God.

Daddy-in-law is in the next pasture and he heard him hollering.

He couldn't tell what he was hollering, he just heard the voice and he looked out there and the guys the arms were raiding.

He come, running out of there.

You know, all the way to him.

He says what's wrong?

What's wrong?

He said Jesus just healed me.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Oh, glory to God.

Romans 4.17 talks about how God calls the things that be not as though they were, and in my experience of 35 years of ministry, this is the hardest thing for most Christians to get ahold of.

They just don't know how to do it and they feel guilty doing it because it feels like a lion Calling the things that be not as though they were.

So you're bent down with pain, you're hurting, you've been diagnosed with such and such a disease, you've got the test that shows that, and so what do you do?

Do you go and say I don't have cancer, I don't have?

That's calling the thing that is not as though it were, that is lying.

But instead you call the thing that is not what is not your healing, you call it as if it is Well, thank God.

I know what the doctor says, but what the Bible says is that I'm healed.

See, you're calling the thing that be not as though it were.

That is Bible faith.

Well, how did God do that?

Well, he named Abraham from Abraham to Abraham.

Abraham means father of many nations.

He wasn't that.

He was a father, but not of many nations.

The son of promise had not been born, and so he called him that before the son of promise, which was Isaac, was born, in fact before he was conceived.

He couldn't be conceived in the natural eye because he's too old.

And she's been buried, and now she's too old, he's 99, she's 90.

And what did he name?

Sarah?

Sarah, mother of all living.

And the princess was she?

No, he called the thing that be, not as though it were.

So they agreed and they started introducing themselves.

You know, hello, I'm Abraham, I'm the father of many nations, this is my wife, princess, and within 90 days, isaac was conceived.

Are you with me now?

So faith is calling the things that be not as though they were.

So the easiest way to do that is praise him for what you don't seem to have.

You start praising God as if you have possessed your healing.

Are you getting this now?

It's so, but what I found in my own experience is hard to praise God when you feel bad.

It's hard to get to.

So it's not about how you feel, it's about what's coming out of your mouth.

It's not about whether you, if you're not able to dance well, don't try just praising with your mouth.

So and so dances for 30 minutes.

Well, I've never done that my whole life, but I'm conscious.

What comes out of my mouth, my mouth, is what's important.

What's coming out of your mouth would ought to be praise.

Turn on the switch of faith by turning on the switch of praise and watch God's healing power manifest.
