I was having so much fun listening and watching that I was just relaxing over there.

I thought, well, this is fun, isn't it?

Joy in the Holy Ghost, ha ha.

Then I saw my, my brother.

That is 99 years old.

He's here tonight and his name is brother Locke.

That's him sitting right there, brother Locke, and he's 99 years old.

Yeah, and he's a Vietnam veteran and Korean war veteran, a World War two veteran, korean World War two veteran, and he's 99 years old, here tonight sitting right over there.

Amen, he came up and gave his offering tonight.

99 years old y'all to give him a hand.

Man, he's something.

Anytime he comes to church, 99 years old, right there, praise the Lord, amen.

Wow, that is wonderful, isn't it?

Man?

That's amazing.

Grace, wow, amen, what y'all gonna do?

You have a big party when he turns 100, huh, I have a big party.

Turn 100.

Praise the Lord.

When I get to be a hundred, I expect at least a hundred thousand dollars on my birthday.

Praise the Lord.

Jesus is Lord.

Ha ha.

Well, let me give you a couple of scriptures here and then I'll give you a couple of scriptures here Ha ha.

Well, let me give you a couple of scriptures here, and then tonight we'll call this a drinking service.

Tonight, drinking.

Everybody say drinking.

Hey, man, I'm not just thinking, I'm drinking.

You can't get drunk in the bar by thinking Come on, you got a drink if you want to get filled and get under the influence.

So Romans 14 17 is what the song she was just singing was about.

The kingdom of God is righteous, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

So we're gonna look at several scriptures on joy in the Holy Ghost.

Joy in the Holy Ghost.

He said that's a part of the kingdom of God.

So I would call that kingdom culture, kingdom culture, and it's not a small part of the kingdom of God, it is a major part, significant part of the kingdom of God is joy in the Holy Ghost.

So you can't get a sad Holy Ghost.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is called the oil of joy.

So there is this joy in the Holy Ghost and that joy Number one is a demonstration of the triumph of Christ.

Let's try that one more time.

The joy that you and I have is a demonstration of the triumph of Christ.

In other words, when Jesus was raised from the dead, he spoiled principalities and power, made a show of them, openly triumphing over them in it.

So your joy is a demonstration of the triumph of Christ.

Which the triumph of Christ is really a demonstration of the triumph of Christ, which the triumph of Christ is really the celebration that happens after the battle has been won and the victory is ours.

It's a party of celebration.

So when Jesus was raised from the dead, there was a celebration, a parade through downtown eternity and exposed Satan as shattered, empty and defeated.

And so your joy number one is a demonstration of the triumph of Christ, amen.

So if you don't rejoice, the devil will think he's winning.

Alright, let's try that one more time.

If you don't rejoice, the devil will think he's winning.

So when you rejoice, you're saying, devil, you're not winning in nothing.

Jesus is Lord, I'm redeemed by his blood and I'm rejoicing in the victory that is mine in Christ.

So your joy is a demonstration to the seen and the unseen of your triumph and your victory.

Amen, your joy is a demonstration Satan is a defeated for.

And then the psalmist David said I rejoice at your word Like someone who just found a great spoil.

So a great spoil, let's just say, would be like a million dollars, alright.

So you say I rejoice at your word like somebody just gave me a million dollars.

Some people rejoice at the word like somebody just gave them a quarter.

No, he said you rejoice at the word like somebody just gave them a quarter.

No, he said you rejoice at the word.

Let's try it again.

You rejoice at the word like somebody just gave you a million dollars, amen.

So so dad Hagen said it this way.

He said the word will work for you when you get thrilled with it.

Alright, don't make me come back there.

I will come back there.

The word will work for you.

When you get what, thrilled with it, or when you rejoice over that word, you say I know that word is true, I know it's working for me and I'm not just gonna think about it, I'm gonna get happy about it, amen.

So he says joy in the Holy Ghost.

Then in Acts 1352 says if you were a disciple, they were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.

Try it one more time.

You were a disciple of Jesus.

And they said and those disciples were what?

Full of joy If you're happy and notify your face.

In other words, they were full of joy and with full of the Holy Ghost.

Amen, come on, notify your face, I'm full of joy.

And joy in the Holy Ghost is really a supernatural joy.

It's not dependent upon circumstances around you.

Joy in the Holy Ghost will bubble up on the inside of you, amen.

And that joy in the Holy Ghost will have you laughing at the most unusual times.

You'll even say this don't seem to be a really good time for me to be laughing right now, amen.

But the Holy Ghost will have you laughing at the most unusual times, amen.

You'll even count it all joy.

When you're faced with trials on one side and the other side, you just say I'm gonna count it all.

Joy, knowing this, the triangle, my faith works, patience, I'm gonna let patience have its perfect work that I may be perfect, an entire, wanting nothing, amen.

In other words, your joy, you count it all joy.

Other translation count it maximum joy Simply means you're gonna have to turn your joy up whenever you're facing adversity.

Turn your joy up, not down.

Come on, turn your joy up, come on.

When the devil says that ain't working the words not working, you, you say, well, I'm gonna turn my joy up a couple of notches here, amen.

So joy in the Holy Ghost is a supernatural joy.

Supernatural joy, supernatural joy, amen.

You can laugh at jokes, but you don't even need no joke when you got the Holy Ghost.

You just, you, just laughing all the time.

Praise the Lord full of joy, amen.

Full of joy, praise the Lord.

Y'all.

Go ahead and smile a little bit.

You want to sometimes say I need to work on my joy a little bit.

I'm gonna start to work on my joy right now.

Then in Deuteronomy, god said All these curses, he said, came upon you because you did not serve the Lord with gladness, or let's try that one more time.

In other words, he said you didn't get God's best blessings Because you didn't serve the Lord with gladness.

I don't know about you, but if I felt like I wouldn't getting God's best blessings, I'd work on getting happy real fast.

I'd say Amen, cuz you know if you're serving the Lord, amen.

And all you got to do is add what gladness.

God likes it when you give and you're happy about it.

God likes it when you serve and you get real happy about it.

Then he said his best blessings will come to you when you serve the Lord.

With what?

No, not all.

I got to go church, I got to go this, I got to go do that.

But you say I am so happy, I'm so glad to be in church tonight.

I'm so.

I'm glad you're not in the hospital.

Come on, say glory to God.

I'm glad to be in church, I'm glad to be praising the Lord, I'm glad I'm saved, hallelujah.

I'm glad I'm washing the blood.

I'm glad, hallelujah, I'm glad to be in church tonight.

Praise the Lord, hallelujah, amen, hallelujah, yeah, amen, hallelujah.

The joy of the Lord, it is your strength.

You don't really think of strength in the terms of joy, but really a part of your strength will be in your joy.

He said you serve the Lord with gladness, amen.

You praise the Lord with gladness.

Part of your strength is for you to get happy.

How many of you can actually get happy on purpose?

My daddy used to tell us you can get glad in the same britches you got mad in.

You know what britches are?

Come on, we were raised in the South Britches.

You know that's a pair of pants, right?

So you can get glad in the same britches you got mad in.

In other words, you don't even have to change your pants to get happy.

You can just go ahead and get happy in the clothes you got on right now.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord.

There are many miserable people in the world, amen.

You would think you could cure it with money, but some of the most miserable people in America have a lot of money, so money ain't going to cure it for you.

Some people say if I just had more money I'd be happy.

No, I know people got more money and they ain't happy.

Joy comes from Jesus, amen.

Joy comes from the Lord.

Joy comes from the Holy Ghost.

So you don't have to have more money to get happy.

Matter of fact, you would get more money faster if you get happy with the amount you got right now.

Let's try that again.

I said the amount you got right now.

You say I'm happy right now.

Praise the Lord, amen.

People worried, upset, people mad, come on, sad.

But one of the things that makes you different is you've got this phenomenon called joy in the Holy Ghost.

Let's practice that.

I got joy in the Holy Ghost, so let's look a little bit at the Holy Ghost and see why there would be such joy in the Holy Ghost.

Y'all with me here.

So why would there be such joy in the Holy Ghost?

And Jesus taught about the Holy Spirit in John 14, 15, and 16.

So when you have time, you read John 14, 15, and 16, and Jesus talked about the Holy Spirit and he said when he comes, he called Him the Comforter and he called Him the Spirit of Truth.

When he called Him the Comforter, then the Greek word for that is a word paraclete or paracletos, the Comforter, and the Amplified gives you several different meanings for that word.

More than just a Comforter like a big pillow, in other words, as a Comforter, the Paraclete, he is a Comforter, a Counselor, a Helper, a Strengthener, a Standby, an Intercessor and an Advocate.

Come on, he's not just a big pillow, the Comforter, jesus said when he comes.

So Jesus seemed to be really excited about when the Holy Spirit comes.

Let's try that again.

I said Jesus.

I mean, I like to hear Jesus teaching on the Holy Spirit.

And so Dad Hagan, who was our spiritual father, you know, and he went to be with the Lord, but the Holy Spirit is still here.

And so Dad Hagan said the world needs to be taught to receive Jesus, but the church needs to be taught to receive the Holy Spirit.

All right, try that one more time, come on.

The world needs to be taught to receive Jesus, but the church, our believers, need to be taught to do what Receive the Holy Spirit.

Learn to receive the Holy Spirit.

Jesus breathed on them and said receive the Holy Spirit.

What does that mean?

The way you receive the Holy Spirit will determine how you receive everything from God.

Let's try this side over here.

I'm going to say it one more time the way you receive the Holy Spirit will determine how you receive everything from God.

Come on, this is pretty serious business.

I said so if you're going to receive from God.

The way you receive the Holy Spirit will take your receiving from God to a whole new level.

Come on now.

You don't have to talk God into giving.

Come on.

It's our job to receive from God, and the way you receive the Holy Spirit will determine how you receive from God, amen.

So to receive the Holy Spirit, whoo, are y'all still in there To receive Him?

All right to recognize Him or to respond to Him or to yield to Him until he fills you up or you get under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

So Smith Wiggersworth said the Holy Spirit will think through your mind.

All right, let's try that.

In other words, he had filled with the Holy Spirit and he begins to think through your mind.

Wiggersworth said he has power over your intellect.

My daddy always said the Holy Spirit is a genius.

If you would listen to Him, he would make you look smart.

The Holy Spirit is a genius, come on, he knows everything.

If you and I would listen to Him, I'm going to be ashamed to have a genius living in you and you be doing all the talking.

Wiggersworth said the Holy Spirit will rise up on the inside of you.

He will think through your mind.

The anointing will come upon your mind, change the way you think.

Thank God for the Holy Spirit.

And as you're struggling with thoughts you know and strongholds and imagination, the Holy Spirit will rise up on the inside of you.

The anointing will set your mind free.

He'll think through your mind, he will speak through your lips.

He has power over your intellect.

He has power over your voice.

Or you can say it this way the Holy Spirit will take the victim out of your voice, or He'll take the whine out of your voice.

Come on, he'll take the complainant out of your voice and the Holy Spirit will put victory in your voice.

Thank God for the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah, y'all still with me?

I said thank God for the Holy Spirit.

Come on to recognize Him, amen, and to yield to Him.

And Holy Spirit, you think through my mind, speak through my lips, listen.

Now one more thing, and he will magnify Jesus in a way that you never could without His help.

All right, let's try this.

Anybody over here, y'all awake over here, the Holy Spirit.

Come on, this is what Jesus said He'll do.

He'll fill you up.

Think through your mind, speak through your lips, listen and He'll magnify Jesus.

In other words, when you're yielding to the Holy Spirit.

Jesus gets real big and your problem gets real little.

That's why you're shouting and laughing and jumping.

Jesus gets real big.

Come on.

Anytime your problem looks bigger than Jesus, you know you're not filled with the Holy Spirit.

Well, that's a good little lesson right there.

Anytime you're feeling like your problem is real big and Jesus is about that big, you know you're not filled with the Holy Spirit.

You get filled with the Holy Spirit, man, and Jesus gets real big and your problem is about that big.

You know that ain't nothing.

Go ahead and laugh for a minute.

Praise the Lord, amen.

So Jesus said when he has come, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

When he's come, he said he's with you.

Now you know Him, but in that day he's going to move in you and he's going to be in you forever.

Think about who you got living in you and think about what would happen if you just let Him loose.

Let's try it one more time.

In other words, christianity was not designed to work without the help of the Holy Spirit.

But the moment the Holy Spirit's involved, you're like whoa come on the greater one.

And so Romans 8-11 says the same Spirit.

Let's try it one more time.

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells on the inside of you and he will quicken your mortal body by His Spirit that dwells in you.

Come on just tonight, while you're yielded to the Holy Spirit, then sickness will leave your body, disease will be arrested and leave your body by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Every weakness in your body will dissipate by the power and the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

He's the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead.

He lives on the inside of you.

Praise the Lord.

Come on, lift your hands.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Come on.

And one of the great things about the Holy Ghost Come on, he lives on the inside of you.

Come on, he lives on the inside of you.

Come on, you ought to look in the mirror in the morning and say Holy Ghost, I know you're in there right now.

You're living inside of me.

Come on, you're my helper, you're my strengthener, you're my intercessor, you're my advocate.

Come on, you're the greater one that lives in me.

Holy Spirit, I want you to rise up on the inside of me.

I yield to you.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, praise the Lord.

Thank you, jesus, hallelujah.

So PC Nelson wrote Bible doctrines for the assemblies of God, which, many years ago, one of the only Pentecostal or Spirit-filled denominations.

And so PC Nelson was a healing evangelist tabled around with a tent, and Dad Hagen called PC Nelson, dad Nelson.

And so PC Nelson said this about the Holy Spirit the advocate, the Holy Spirit are the Pericles, and he said there's three things about the Holy Spirit.

Are you ready for this?

Three things about the Holy Spirit that, when you use the word periclead, these are three major characteristics of the periclead.

Number one he has exceptional knowledge.

Y'all still with me.

He knows everything.

Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes, he's going to take everything that God has and everything that I have, and he's going to transmit all of that to you.

Let's try it one more time.

Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes, he's going to take everything that is mine and show it to you.

But the word show is the word there.

That means show, communicate, transmit it to you.

So the Holy Spirit's job is to take everything Jesus has done for you and make it a reality in you.

The Holy Spirit's job is to take everything Jesus has done for you and translate that into personal victory.

All right, let's try this out over here.

Come on, come on, come on, come on.

Y'all still here.

I said the Holy Spirit takes everything Jesus has done for us and everything he is doing for us and he translates that into personal victory.

In other words, without the Holy Spirit, you can have a lot of theology and no victory.

But the moment the Holy Spirit gets involved, you don't just have a bunch of promises and a bunch of scriptures.

You got victory at the house.

You got victory in your body.

You got victory in your mind.

You got victory in your money.

You got victory in your finances.

You got victory in your family.

When you're filled with the Holy Ghost, he takes everything Jesus has done for you.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Man, what a helper he is.

How much help do you need anyhow?

But Jesus said you're going to need a lot of help.

The Holy Spirit is going to move in you forever.

Go ahead and laugh for a minute and say, come on, I got some major help.

He's my personal live-in life coach.

I got a trainer man, I got a personal live-in life coach.

So number one, he has what Exceptional knowledge.

Praise the Lord.

So you got somebody living in here that really has all the answers.

You got all the answers.

Whatever you need, whatever question you have, he's got the answer.

You just got to get on His channel, because he's always broadcast Not on your brain, not on your intellect, but he's on the spirit, bearish witness with our spirit.

In other words, he's on what you call spirit channel, or he's on the numah.

Numa is the Greek word, he's on numachannel Numa.

Everybody say numah.

All right, numah is the Greek word for spirit and all that means is the Holy Numa, bearish witness with our numah and God's the Father Numa.

And he had little tiny numas, his kids.

And so we are a spirit, we have a soul, we're staying in His body, but the real me is my spirit, and when I make Jesus my Lord, my spirit came alive with the life of God.

My spirit is joined to Christ and the Holy Spirit moved inside of me and lives right now in my spirit.

My spirit joined to Christ.

Come on, you got a whole new identity in Christ because your spirit is joined to Christ.

So Paul said when I pray in the Holy Ghost.

My spirit prays, but my mind?

Why would God want to bypass your mind?

You know the answer to that.

So the Holy Spirit is really God, bypasses your brain, helps you to speak and to pray and brings things to pass and your head finds out about it later.

Your head's like when did that happen while I was yielded to the Holy Ghost?

Yeah, that's right.

Come on, why are you yielded to the Holy Ghost?

You just have to practice that.

Are you still here?

I said you have to practice that because your flesh don't want you yielding to the Holy Ghost.

Your flesh said I'm in charge here.

You say shut up, you are not in charge.

Come on, the Holy Ghost is in charge here.

Come on, jesus is Lord here.

Your flesh ain't in charge, your peanut brain's not in charge, and if you can't challenge your own flesh, you'll never have victory in life.

If you can't challenge your own flesh, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Let's go ahead and laugh for a minute.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

So this is PC Nelson.

All right, let me try to finish this part of it anyway.

Number one he has what exceptional knowledge.

Number two PC Nelson said he has expertise in protocol or procedure.

In other words, if he is your advocate, he's gonna show you how to win that case.

You can't just win a case because you think you ought to.

You have to know protocol and procedure if you're gonna win that case.

So the Holy Spirit has never lost a case, that's right.

Well, come on, he's your advocate now.

Counsel for the defense, he's your advocate and he's never lost a case If he can get his client to listen to him.

So, whatever case you might be up against right now, once the Holy Spirit gets involved, he's gonna show you how to win that case.

Well, you ought to laugh right now.

I said he's gonna show you how to win that case.

Come on.

You say I got the Holy Ghost working on my case right now.

I'm gonna win this case in life because of the power of the Holy Ghost.

He's my helper, he's my advocate.

Come on, he's my intercessor.

Praise the Lord.

Protocol procedure are.

The Holy Spirit is gonna show you how to receive the protocol procedure to receive from God.

Put your hands on your head and pray for yourself.

Hallelujah, amen, lord, I thank you for the Holy Ghost.

Amen, come on, just by past my peanut brain.

Hallelujah, come on.

I yield to the Holy Spirit in my spirit.

Come on, let the Holy Spirit rise up on the inside of me, magnified Jesus.

Come on, jesus, get so big.

The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of me.

Praise the Lord, hallelujah, amen.

Then number three he gives you of the Holy Spirit has Persuasive speaking ability.

All right, let's try this one more time.

Persuasive speaking ability, in other words, in the earth, everything from heaven happens through speaking.

If it happened, somebody said it.

I Said if it's happening, somebody said it so he gives you a new dimension of speaking.

So he gives you a new dimension of speaking.

So Paul said I can pray in the holy go and Speak.

Divine secrets are mysteries to God.

Man, if you're a new creature in Christ, you're a different kind of creature that never existed before and your spirit has the life of God on the inside of you.

So God said I'm gonna have to give you a new language to go with the new creation.

You're a new kind of human that never existed before, with the life of God on the inside of you.

And now the Holy Spirit says let me give you a new language to adequately Express the realities of how big God is and everything God has planned and purpose for your life.

I'm gonna give you a language that'll just bypass your head and you can pray in the holy ghost and Miracles will happen.

And you say how did that happen?

Somebody said it.

If you couldn't say it in English, he gave you the Holy Ghost so you can say it in a supernatural language and come out me like Glory to God.

Y'all still with me here.

So the Holy Spirit, whoo.

So William Barkley said it this way in his book, a commentary.

He said the word practically the Holy Spirit is the helper of man.

He is the one who is called in to help in a situation with which a man by himself cannot cope.

So when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, he knew without the help of the Holy Spirit you would not be able.

Then William Barkley said it this way.

It's a kind of comfort, consolation into stress.

He said the Holy Spirit, the advocate which keeps a man on his feet.

When left to himself, he would collapse.

I'm glad you had been left to yourself.

Come on.

When left to himself, he would collapse.

It is the strength that enables a man to pass the breaking point and not to break.

Come on now, when it looked like you should have collapsed and you should have given up and you should have quit and you should have had a nervous breakdown.

You Passed the breaking point and you did not collapse and you did not break, but the Holy Spirit strengthened you supernaturally.

So in the face of adversity, come on.

The Holy Spirit rises up on the inside of you and you laugh at impossibility.

You got joy in the Holy Ghost and you'll be rejoicing and praising God when everybody else thinks you should have quit by now.

You should have collapsed by now.

But the Holy Spirit Well, he lives in you and he never gives up on your case.

He never gives up on Well, you ought to thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Come on.

When you get up in the morning, you say thank you, lord for the Holy Ghost.

Come on, I said you.

I say thank you, lord for the Holy Ghost, come on.

You ought to talk to the Holy Spirit living.

You say I had Holy Spirit.

I know you're in there.

Don't act like you're not in there.

I know you're in there.

I don't feel nothing right now, but you moved in me forever, so I know you're still in there.

Holy Spirit, I need you to rise up on the inside of me Hallelujah, come on, take me out of the realm of the natural and bring me to the realm of the supernatural and to the realm of God.

Holy Ghosts, go ahead and laugh for me and say huh.

Whoo.

That's my pause, that I will pray with the Spirit and I will pray with the understanding.

Also two major kinds of prayer Hallelujah, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

There's a bunch more right there.

Let's skip over a little bit of it.

Romans 8, 26 through 28.

Write this down real quickly here, because I, me and Trinna, we went on a little vacation a few years ago in Hawaii.

We love going to Hawaii because ain't no bugs Haven't been in a while and we got a grandkids now.

So but a few years ago we we went a few times.

So no bugs in Hawaii and the temperatures like perfect, so it's like an amazing place.

So we went with a friend of ours named Rick Renner and his wife, and then Joyce Meyer and her husband, and so we had quite a little vacation.

We basically did nothing but get up in the morning and eat breakfast for three hours.

It's a buffet, not a cheap one, so you better stay there a while.

I'm gonna get my money's worth, right.

So three hours of breakfast and we talk about the Bible, and and then we preached.

All of us took turns preaching in the same church, so it's pretty funny.

I won't tell you the whole story of it anyway.

So so I, joyce, joyce, got up the night she was supposed to preach and Joyce said I just had.

What kind of surgery she have?

She said I just had surgery.

She said I just had surgery for hemorrhoids True story.

I mean, I'm sitting there, I can't believe.

She told the whole congregation I'll be, she said.

She said I just had surgery for hemorrhoids.

So they had a stool with a pillow on it so she sat on the pillow and she would teach from the pillow.

Well, so it was really good teaching.

So it proves you can.

You could teach well with hemorrhoids.

So it's so, she did a good job and she got healed of that.

Oh, I believe anyway.

So then Rick Renner was there with us and he's like a Greek and Hebrew scholar then.

So Everywhere we preached we would all take turns, and then Rick preached this one sermon and he didn't think it went too well, but I loved it.

So I wrote down notes.

So I still have the notes in my Bible today, in Romans chapter 8.

Praise the Lord, how many?

Oh, I'm ready to get happy already.

But I'm just, I'm just telling you I don't want to be happy and ignorant.

You know, I want to know what I'm happy about.

I mean, I can get happy if I have to, but it's better if I know what I'm happy about.

Romans, chapter 8, verse 26,.

Romans 8:26

What does it say?

It says likewise, talking about the Spirit, talking about the Holy Spirit.

Likewise, the Spirit, or the Holy Spirit, helps our infirmities.

The Holy Spirit does what.

He helps our infirmities.

Then he says for we know not what we should pray for, as we ought.

But the Spirit Himself should say makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Actually the Greek word says, with our articulate speech, in other words, takes supernatural language, the Holy Spirit will help you.

And then he says this he helps our infirmities.

We don't know what to pray for, as we ought.

The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Go to the next verse, verse 27.

And he that search the harsh, knows what is the mind of the Spirit.

Because he does what, makes, what Intercession for the saints, according to the will of God.

In other words, the Holy Spirit helps.

So most Christians will acknowledge that they need the help of the Holy Spirit.

Let's try this side over here.

I said most Christians will acknowledge they need the help of the Holy Spirit.

But when you look at this verse I'm gonna see how bad you actually need His help.

All right, let's try it one more time, because we acknowledge we do need the help of the Holy Spirit but we wanna see, kind of like, how really necessary and bad do I need His help?

So Rick Renner pointed out like this I wrote it in the edge of my Bible here he said he helps.

The word help means he takes hold together with us against our infirmities.

Everybody say infirmities.

So generally speaking, the word infirmity means our weaknesses, our weaknesses.

But actually Rick pointed out that this word for infirmity means more than just any kind of weakness.

He said this word for infirmity he said the Greek word means a crippling disease, an incurable condition, a terminal condition, a reoccurring plague or a mental oppression.

How bad do you need the help of the Holy Spirit?

All right, let's try it one more time.

How bad do you need the help of the Holy Spirit?

Is he just kind of like take it or leave it, or is man?

I need the Holy Spirit's help.

How bad do you need His help?

All right, he said, because you and I are dealing with infirmities that are not minor problems.

He said.

These are actually incurable, terminal reoccurring plagues and a mental oppression that you cannot get free from.

Amen.

So the Holy Spirit, he helps when you're dealing with a situation that's beyond your natural ability.

So imagine Jesus.

And when the Holy Spirit comes, no matter what situation you're dealing with, when he comes and moves inside of you, he's gonna take every situation that you're in.

He's gonna show you how to win, overcome, come on, receive from God, no matter what it is, he's gonna take hold together with you.

Yes, he's gonna take hold together with you.

Woo-hoo.

So when you're dealing with a situation that may be a reoccurring plague, come on something that you're having a hard time dealing with.

You say Holy Spirit, you're sent for this purpose.

Come on.

There ain't no stronghold strong enough to hold you when the Holy Spirit is working on your case.

Let's try that.

I said there is no stronghold strong enough to hold you when the Holy Spirit is working on your case.

Now, when the Holy Spirit is working on your case, come on.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, emancipation from bondage.

Where the Holy Spirit is working on your case.

Woo man, you come out of that.

Come on, set your mind free, set your body free.

Come on, heal your body.

Think about the Holy Spirit working on your case.

Come on, you're okay.

Yes Ha ha, are you ready?

He makes intercession for us.

Intercession, listen now.

Jesus is your intercessor in heaven and the Holy Spirit is your intercessor in your heart.

All right, let's try that one more time.

Jesus is making intercession for you in heaven and the Holy Spirit makes intercession for you in your heart.

When you yield to the Holy Spirit, praying in the Holy Spirit or yielding to the Holy Spirit, then he says I see, you are taking hold and I'm gonna take hold together with you.

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Man wants he takes hold together with you.

The intercessor so our friend Rick Renner pointed this out.

He said this word for intercession is the picture of a pit, a picture of a pit by which there is no way of escape and that you have fallen into this pit that you cannot get out of.

And the intercessor is the picture of someone who comes along and sees you in that pit by which you cannot get out of on your own.

The intercessor is the one that gets in the pit with you.

All right, let's try that one.

I said the Holy Spirit is the intercessor that gets in the pit with you.

He doesn't just stay on the side of the pit and say you need to try harder, you need to jump higher.

Now the Holy Spirit gets in the pit with you.

That means he knows your case, he knows how you feel, he knows what you're going through.

He gets in the pit with you.

He has pit experience.

All right, all right, all right.

I don't know if I can help y'all anymore tonight.

I said the Holy Spirit has pit experience.

Come on, he brought a lot of people out of a pit by which there was no way for them to get out of that.

Oh, but the major thing that happened is the Lord Jesus himself.

He is the same spirit that raised him from the dead, from the lowest pit of all, and he brought Jesus out of that pit.

If he could bring Jesus out of that pit, no matter what kind of pit you're in, he can bring you out of that pit.

Amen.

No matter how long you've been there, no matter how bad it may seem, holy Spirit, jump in there, I'm going to pull you out of that pit.

Whoo, y'all ought to get happy about that already.

Say thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Yes, go ahead and laugh.

I meant to say Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

I said thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Whoo, how many have ever been in a pit?

And the Holy Spirit said I'm here with you, I'm right here with you right now.

Everybody else might have left you, but I'm still here with you and I'm going to pull you out of that pit.

You ain't going to stay there the rest of your life.

You don't have to live that way the rest of your life.

Come on.

Jesus already paid the price.

The blood has already been shed and the Holy Spirit jumps in the pit with you.

He starts pulling you out of that pit.

Hallelujah, strength and new hope come on.

New faith Pull you out of the pit.

Say glory to God, I'm free.

I'm not going to live that way the rest of my life.

The Holy Spirit brought me out of that pit.

Whoa, he brought me Whoo.

Y'all lift your hands and say thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Whoo.

Come on, lift your hands and say thank you Lord for the Holy Ghost.

Come on.

He's my helper, my strengthener, my intercessor, my advocate, Whoo.

He's the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead.

He lives on the inside of me.

He never leaves me and never abandons me.

Come on.

In my worst hour, in my most difficult times in my life, the Holy Spirit said I'm here, I'm in the pit with you and I'm going to pull you out of that thing.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Whoo, Ain't going to be sick?

No more.

Come on.

Ain't going to be depressed?

No more.

Not going to be bound?

No more.

The Holy Spirit Himself takes hold together with me.

Amen, Praise the Lord.

But even though he's a genius, he's also a gentleman.

He will not interrupt you without your permission.

In other words, you'll have to decide and welcome Him, the Holy Spirit.

So let's get to this here real quick.

So Jesus.

John 7.37 through 39,.

Jesus stood up on the last day of the feast and said what?

John 7.37.

Jesus stood up and he hollered.

Jesus didn't always talk quiet, People say the Lord, he would just talk so gently, Not this time.

Jesus stood up and he started hollering.

Let's get a little different picture of him for a second.

Jesus stood up and he said if anybody's thirsty, let him come unto me and drink, Mm-hmm.

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

I asked the Lord.

I said why did you start off and say if anybody's thirsty?

He said because really, I have nothing to say to people who are not thirsty.

But if your desire for God, you say I need everything God has for me, you get thirsty.

I've got to tell you this.

He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry with his goodness.

God has millions of satisfied customers.

If you're thirsty, he said I'm going to fill you up.

If you're thirsty, you will not be disappointed.

You're going to be a satisfied customer.

Come on, he's satisfied, Amen.

So when Jesus said if anybody's thirsty, let him come to me and drink, and then he said what he that believeth on me, as the scripture, said out of his, what Belly, out of his belly, shall flow what Rivers?

Woo, oh, come on.

This is not a trickle, this is not a drip.

He said out of his belly.

He's not talking about your stomach, he's talking about your innermost being, which is really out of your spirit, man, out of your spirit.

Rivers of living water, In other words, this is more than you can contain, rivers of the life of God.

Rivers will overflow out of your belly.

There's a river of joy.

There's a river of healing.

There's a river of revelation.

Rivers of the life of God flow out of your belly, man, more than you can contain.

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Go ahead and laugh for me and say out of your belly.

You know what you got in your belly.

Come on, come on.

Holy Spirit lives in you so you have faith in God, not just God that lives on the throne in heaven.

The God that lives in you is the spirit of God.

You say so.

They said what you talking about.

Jesus 37, 239, and Jesus said what this spake.

He of the Holy Spirit who was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified.

So the Holy Spirit was not given in that dimension until Jesus was raised from the dead and glorified.

So the Holy Spirit comes from the glorified condition of Jesus.

Right huh, amen, he's talking about the Holy Spirit.

So, on the Acts chapter two, was the original drinkers.

I don't know if they got a t-shirt or not, but Acts, chapter two, jesus invited 500 and only 120 showed up.

These are the original drinkers.

So these are the ones that Jesus said come and drink.

He didn't say come and think.

Church got too many thinkers, not enough drinkers.

Come on.

You think with your brain, you drink with your spirit.

I know something about drinking.

You cannot drink with your mouth shut.

All right, let's try that again.

I said you can't drink with your mouth shut.

Actually, in Psalms it says open your mouth wide for the latter race.

God said open your mouth and I'm going to fill it, amen.

So if you want to be filled, you got to open your mouth.

Come on, be filled with the spirit.

The verse says, speaking to yourselves in Psalms, and him In other words, you're going to have to open your mouth if you want to drink, amen.

So the church really just needs drinking lessons.

You can tell the difference between a drinker and a thinker.

A drinker just stares at you.

A drinker goes.

Drinker means to receive from his presence.

Come on, open your mouth and drink from his presence.

That's what the Holy Spirit does.

He fills you up.

Open your mouth, come on, you need drinking.

Friends, when I'm preaching I look for the drinking section, because you can tell the thinking section they're just staring at you, but the drinking section, they're already saying I'm receiving the anointing.

Already, when you take a drink from his presence, something starts happening in your spirit.

Man, come on out of your belly River starts stirring up on the inside of you and the life of God begins to flow out of your belly and there's a river of joy that will come out of your belly that will have you rejoicing and laughing.

Joy in the Holy Ghost, come on, why are you laughing and yielding to the Holy Ghost?

Listen, listen, listen.

I went to 15 years of Dad Hagen's Holy Ghost meetings.

15 years he taught him faith for probably 60 years and I finally learned to listen to him how faith works.

But then he said well, people are not including the Holy Spirit anymore, they just think they can just teach on.

We call it word of faith, non-holy Ghost church.

So he did 10, over 10 years, 15 years of Holy Ghost meetings, and he talked about the demonstration of the Holy Spirit.

And then when the he said when the Holy Spirit starts moving in these kind of meetings, we yield to him.

He said, when the Holy Spirit starts moving, then joy in the Holy Ghost will start to break out.

Joy, I went to 15 years, so I, I went to 15 years.

I went to 15 years.

I went to 15 years, so I learned how to drink.

I took my drinking list.

Once I learned how to drink, I learned how to receive.

And so Dad Hagen would kind of walk around and he would lay hands on you or tap you on the head.

But when the anointing got strong enough he didn't really even have to touch you.

The anointing could feel from the front row to the back row and you could start drinking before he ever got to you.

I went to 15 years of that.

Every time I went, sometimes he would.

That anointing would come on him and he would kind of tap you in the head.

Sometimes He'd tap you in the head, boom, that anointing would come on you.

He said what'll happen?

Either you'll start laughing, joy bubble up, you just start laughing.

He said R.

Sometimes the anointing gets so strong that you won't be able to stand up or sit up.

The anointing come on you and you just laugh.

That's why you got to get a new body before you go to heaven, otherwise you would just be laying around in heaven all the time.

That's why people slain in the spirit, because the anointing gets so strong your natural body can't handle it.

So that's why people fall out.

If they're sitting there, sometimes they fall out on their seat.

So he said either you start laughing, get full of joy.

He said R, some people will just start dancing in the Holy Ghost.

Well, when he was in his 80s come on 85, you may not be able to dance like you used to, but he would scoot, you know, he was telling me to get a little scoot like that.

And he said there's a blessing you receive when you're dancing the Holy Ghost that you can't get any other way.

He said so you're laughing.

Come on, are you dancing?

Or some people would take off running.

My mother was a runner.

The anointing would come on her, you know, and you could hear her.

She'd go, hallelujah.

Then she'd take off run.

She would run around the church.

When Elijah says the hand of the Lord came upon him and he outran the king's chariot, he took out running.

Sometimes the anointing come on your leg.

You're like I don't know what to do.

I just feel like a running right now, and so you take off running.

What does that mean?

That means I hear the sound of an abundance of rain.

Come on, the scenery's changing and new things are happening.

Hallelujah, I'm gonna make some progress and just take off running.

It's just a demonstration of the Holy Ghost.

And so every time that Hagan would touch me in the head a lot of times he would just say something like be blessed, yes, yes, and some people would go I'm already blessed.

Well, listen, camelbrew, I'm already blessed.

Well listen, Camelbrew, I'm already blessed.

I'm already blessed, come on.

This is Galatians 3, 13, 14,.

Christ redeemed us from the curse and he said that the blessing of Abraham, the blessing of the Holy Spirit, so that blessing comes through the anointing.

So he would tap me in the head and say be blessed.

And I'd either fall out or I'd jump up and run around the church.

I'd just start laughing or shouting, praising, and then when I'd get home, everything would increase.

So I'd go back, I'd sit up close to the front and say hit me, baby, one more time, come on.

I'd sit up close to the front and tap me in the head Hallelujah, come on.

I believe in the power of the Holy Ghost, I believe in the power of that blessing.

And I said just hit me, man, boom, hit me in the head.

I'd go home, man, everything would increase and blessing increased.

I'd go back to the next meeting and say hit me again, man, hit me again.

And the blessing of the Lord hit me so good.

I got to where I could bring $10,000 every meeting, every meeting.

They got to where they're glad to see me, man.

They said sit up here at the front.

You know, I got to where I could bring $50,000.

I brought $100,000.

Hit me in the head.

Go ahead and laugh for a few minutes, man, I'm expecting the increase and the blessing of the Lord, the anointing of the Holy Ghost, amen.

And so we start laughing, dancing, running, shouting, and you got to have your drinking friends.

Then you get some drinking music.

Come on, something in it, really good Holy Ghost music.

Come on.

Like I got joy in the Holy Ghost.

That's kind of a drinking song.

Well, you're singing it, you're like I kind of like that.

I got joy in the Holy Ghost.

I got joy in the Holy Ghost.

I got joy in the Holy Ghost, whoa.

I'm starting to get happy here.

I got joy in the Holy Ghost, so I get full of joy again and again.

I said again, again and again.

I said again and again All right, now let's get close.

I'm gonna end with this here.

He said we got home to our Louisiana, alexandria, and we've been believing God for some land for our ministry, and we were believing God for like 10 years, years.

We couldn't find nothing that seemed to fit us, and so we were like, well, maybe we could get 10 acres.

Then we're like, maybe we could find acres.

Then we're like, maybe we could get three acres.

Then we're like, maybe we could just get anything.

And the Lord opened it up.

We got 30 acres, the best place on the highway between my house and the church, 30 acres with a lake on there, two big barns for offices, and then we built the conference centers on there.

Now it's beautiful.

So when we got that property, here's what the Lord said to me.

Listen to what the Lord said in all those Holy Ghost meetings While you were laughing, while you were laughing, while you were laughing, while you were laughing While you were yielding to the Holy Ghost, while you were laughing While you were praising, while you were running, while you were dancing.

Are you still here?

He said.

While you were doing all that, he said you really were laughing about something.

All right, in other words, some people see you laughing, rejoicing and dancing and they just think it's a little bit silly, or they think it's just fun.

But really, when the Holy Ghost is taking care of business for you let's try this out over here I said when the Holy Ghost is taking care of business for you.

So I said all that time you were yielded to the Holy Ghost.

He said you really were laughing about something, you really were shouting about something.

You didn't know what it was with your brain, but God was working on something for you Supernaturally.

That was beyond what you could ask for somebody out of shot right now.

I said God was working on something for you beyond what you could ask, beyond what you could think.

Come on, lift your hands up.

Come on, god was working on something for me.

Well, go ahead and laugh.

I said God was working on something for me.

Come on, open your mouth wide and thank the Lord.

Thank you Lord, thank you Lord.

Come on, open your mouth wide.

Thank you Lord.

Oh, thank you for the Holy Ghost.

Do we have any drinkers in here tonight drink Drink?

I didn't come just to think.

I came to drink.

Wow, I was drinking While I was yielded to the Holy Ghost, while I was laughing.

Come on, I think I'm gonna write a book and call it.

While I was laughing, in other words, while I was rejoicing and laughing and yielded to the Holy Ghost, god was working on something beyond my natural thinking and my natural ability.

While I was laughing, while I was rejoicing.

Ha ha ha.

Joy in the Holy Ghost Is serious business.

So the Lord said while you are rejoicing here, something is happening back at your house.

The Lord said while you're rejoicing here, while you're laughing here, something is happening back at your house.

I went glory to God.

I'm receiving from the Holy Ghost yielded to the Holy Ghost.

While I'm rejoicing here, something is happening back at my house.

Ha ha, ha ha.

I got joy in the Holy Ghost.
