  1. Let's play one more time as we enter into the word of God and

  2. see what he has in store for us. Father.

  3. Right now we choose to lift our hearts to you.

  4. As we sang, You have given us new mercies this morning.

  5. Lord, we ask that you would bless us with an intensification

  6. with your presence. Lord, that you would take this

  7. word, your word and drive it deep into our hearts Lord.

  8. We pray that every man. Would disappear except Christ.

  9. Jesus, Lord, that he would be seen.

  10. Loved adored exalted and lifted High.

  11. Take your word, Lord. As we heard yesterday.

  12. And make it come. And manifest in our flesh in our

  13. lives. Lord remove any confusion

  14. distraction coming. And visit our hearts again.

  15. We ask these things in Jesus name.

  16. Amen. As we scale through the

  17. scriptures, we realize that there are a number of titles

  18. that God reveals to his people throughout the generations.

  19. These various badges that God carries Reveal.

  20. Something about both his attributes who he is and his

  21. ability what he's able to do. These things are found in his

  22. name alone. Nevermind in his actions.

  23. And as his people, we find ourselves in prayer and worship

  24. identifying and relating to God with various names.

  25. Do we not? Holy an anointed one Redeemer.

  26. Son of God, Son of Man, King of Kings, Lord of lords, healer,

  27. great physician Prince of Peace. and we thank God for that

  28. because we benefit from understanding who he is through

  29. these names, his name reveals who he is, and yet They might

  30. context. At least there is one title that

  31. God gives of himself, that you don't really hear often.

  32. It's not really said in prayer, sometimes maybe in songs, we may

  33. be here it in Bible study, But it's a name of God nonetheless

  34. and it's found in the book of Exodus chapter 3 verse 6.

    Exodus 3:6

  35. It's a title that God gives himself very early in the Bible

  36. at a very crucial time in Redemptive history to a very

  37. important figure, amongst God's roster of servants.

  38. God says in Exodus 3 Verse 6 to Moses, And he said, I am the god

    Exodus 3:6

  39. of your father, the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac, and

  40. the god of Jacob and Moses. Hid his face for, he was afraid

  41. to look at God. This is a reference that God

  42. gives himself. This is a title that God of

  43. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and God in his wisdom.

  44. Amongst all the other things that he couldn't reveal himself

  45. with he chooses to expose himself to reveal himself, To

  46. Moses in this matter. I am the god of your father's

  47. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And here's the question, why?

  48. What is that name? Even mean, what significance

  49. does that have? Well this morning I believe it

  50. has three at least three significant Revelations, about

  51. who God is. Number one, it reveals something

  52. that we saying that God is a faithful God.

  53. He's a promise keeping God. See when God chooses to reveal

  54. himself this way to Moses, it was at a specific time.

  55. Moses was going to be chosen to be a vessel to go and deliver

  56. the people of Israel from Egypt and for hundreds of years that

  57. people were what suffering under Affliction from an oppressor.

  58. And it was at this moment that God chooses to use a man to

  59. deliver as an extension of his grace.

  60. And this is what he's saying to Moses.

  61. I've made a promise. Many years ago.

  62. To Abraham and I passed that promise down to Isaac.

  63. And I passed that promise down to Jacob and my promise can be

  64. summarized in this, I promise to make a people and I promise to

  65. take that people to birth a nation and to bring them into a

  66. land and to inhabit that land, that's what my promise is.

  67. And though, I've said it many years ago, and though, it seems

  68. like I've been silent. I've now come to manifest the

  69. reality of my faithfulness. And that's why you look at verse

  70. 15 here, When God tells Moses again to go to the people with

  71. this name in mind, he says, look, God also said to Moses say

  72. this to the people. I'm not just saying this to you,

  73. Moses. I'm not just telling you that I

  74. am the god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  75. I'm telling you to go tell the entire nation that I am the god

  76. of your father's, the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac, and

  77. the god of Jacob. He has sent me to you.

  78. After 400 years. This is when God chooses to

  79. reveal himself this way and this is how we understand what this

  80. name means for us. When God Says something, he

  81. means it. He is immutable.

  82. He is unchanging. He's unwavering.

  83. If God said it in his word, he has no intention nor does he

  84. even have the ability because he's not a man that can lie to

  85. change his mind on what he said. So every time I come to this

  86. word, I can trust that what he said, he's going to keep who he

  87. says he is. He is what he will do in the

  88. future. He's gonna do now.

  89. I thank God for that because just like the Israelites I can

  90. be going through so much. And yet trust that he's the god

  91. of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I said something before and I'm

  92. going to make it happen. So guess what?

  93. If Jesus said he's coming back, he's coming back.

  94. If Jesus says that he's going to redeem us and bring us to a

  95. place that he's preparing for us, he's going to bring us to

  96. that place that he has prepared for us if he's gonna wipe out

  97. everything else so that he can establish his kingdom, guess

  98. what? He's going to do it.

  99. Well, it seems like it's kind of quiet.

  100. Seems like nothing's really happening based on that promise

  101. like the Israelis hundreds of years.

  102. Where's This Promise? Keeping God.

  103. But just like Moses, he will show up.

  104. And he will keep his word. That's true in a corporate

  105. level. That's true for his program for

  106. the universe and that's true for you.

  107. And I as individuals God is a promise keeping God I can trust

  108. in him, I can lean on him. I can take this word and know

  109. that it is true forever but it doesn't just end there Jesus

  110. quotes. This verse which reveals the

  111. second point of what this title means about, God, I would

  112. encourage you to turn to Matthew 24:32 and see what Jesus says

    Matthew 24:32

  113. here. The context is this you had a

  114. group of liberal religious, people called the Sadducees.

  115. They didn't like Miracles and Supernatural stuff and believe

  116. that there is a resurrection and that were angels and Spirits

  117. now. No, no.

  118. That's All foolishness and so in an attempt to try to trick

  119. Jesus, never a good idea by the way.

  120. They approached him and they try to create the scenario.

  121. To try to stump him in his understanding of the

  122. Resurrection. And Jesus replies in Matthew 22

  123. 32. He says and as for the

  124. resurrection of the Dead, have you not read?

  125. He's tiny Sadducees. Have you not read?

  126. What was said to you by God and he quotes Exodus 36.

  127. I am the god of Abraham and the god of Isaac, and the god of

  128. Jacob. He is not a god of the dead, but

  129. of the living. Now, Jesus is a wise teacher,

  130. and a wise, evangelist, the Sadducees did not believe in any

  131. other books, except for the first five, books of the Bible.

  132. Jesus could have quoted a lot of books, a lot of verses, from the

  133. prophets to prove the resurrection, but he knew that

  134. they did not hold to Daniel, They did not hold to Isaiah

  135. only, the first five books. So, Jesus in his wisdom quotes

  136. from Exodus and proves the resurrection from The Exodus.

  137. but I love this, he says Have you not read?

  138. What was said to you? Now if we can put up, Mark

    Mark 12:26

  139. 12:26, this is the same story told in a different way with

  140. different wording and see what Jesus says in Mark 12 26.

  141. And it's very important because it tells us something about the

  142. power of the word of God. He says, and as for the dead

  143. being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses in the

  144. passage about the Bush? How God spoke to him?

  145. Saying the same thing. So in Matthew he says, listen

  146. have you not read? What was said to you?

  147. In Mark. He says, have you not read?

  148. What was said to him? Now we read Exodus, we realized

  149. that that Revelation that God gave was for Moses, it wasn't to

  150. the Sadducees that such as didn't even come to existence

  151. for hundreds. I mean hundreds of years but yet

  152. Jesus says, have you not read? What was said to you?

  153. You know what that tells me about the Bible.

  154. You know what that tells me about the stories that we read,

  155. you know, what it tells us about everything that's in Scripture

  156. that even though he said it to another person, even though he

  157. said, another time he had us in mind.

  158. He had us in mind, he wants to speak to you.

  159. And to me through Leviticus, he wants to speak to you to me, as

  160. he spoke to Moses and spoke to Samuel, and spoke to Jeremiah.

  161. He wants to speak to us when he speaks to them.

  162. Everything in the word of God has intended for us as well.

  163. It's not just a historical thing that we study Lord.

  164. What are you saying to me? And so when he says, have you

  165. not read? What was said to you, that God

  166. is the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

  167. I'm not just saying that to Moses.

  168. I'm saying it to Maranatha 2019 to every single person in this

  169. place. So now I got to know what that

  170. means and in the context here, Jesus quotes this title, to

  171. prove something about God's power.

  172. He says it reads the really carefully.

  173. I am present tense the god of Abraham not.

  174. I was I am right now. To say that Abraham, Isaac and

  175. Jacob, their bodies might be dead, but their Spirits are

  176. alive and they're with me. They're with me because I'm not

  177. the god of the dead, I'm the god of the living, their bodies are

  178. waiting to be resurrected, but they are with me right now.

  179. because that is the reality of our existence that when we

  180. escaped these bodies, we will be in the presence of God or in the

  181. place where God is Not and he's saying this to prove the

  182. resurrection, but this title means something for us that if

  183. you raised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, he's going to raise me.

  184. That if they are in the presence of God when they gave their last

  185. breath, I will be in the presence of God when I give my

  186. last breath and you read in the Book of Matthew.

  187. Even earlier, he talks about two, destinations for two groups

  188. of people, and he says, people from the East and the west north

  189. and south, they will come and they will be gathered.

  190. And they will be in the Kingdom of Heaven doing what sitting at

  191. a table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  192. Imagine what that's going to be like part of Heaven is going to

  193. be sitting down with these guys. Part of the experience of

  194. glories that the Bible studies that we have.

  195. And even the session right now we're going to be able to hear

  196. about the faithfulness of God from Abraham's own lives.

  197. We're going to be able to talk about the goodness of God from

  198. Isaac's on mouth. We're going to hear about God's

  199. perseverance and his patience with us through Jacob.

  200. I'm not the god of the Dead on the god of the living.

  201. And he quotes that title to say life is coming to you.

  202. Life doesn't end here. Life's not finished here.

  203. There's a place where you're going to come.

  204. There's a place where I'm going to take you to, where you will

  205. be in my presence forever. Lastly, I think this is very

  206. important and this is the main point of the whole conference.

  207. The whole conference is going to be centered around the god of

  208. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But here's the last point, he is

  209. the god who works in and through different people As glorious as

  210. these truths are that, God is the promise, keeping God that

  211. God is the resurrector. If there's still some other

  212. component to this title, that is more relational than we think.

  213. He is the god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  214. And God chooses to identify himself with each of them.

  215. You know, Abraham, Isaac. And Jacob could have taken up

  216. three verses 44 versus pops. To say and Abraham begat, Isaac,

  217. Isaac, begat, Jacob, and the seed passed down.

  218. It could have just been a genealogy thing.

  219. But you know what? Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob take

  220. up most of the Book of Genesis Why?

  221. And what we see there is that God walks with them and got

  222. talks with them and God leads them, and God promise, and God

  223. disciplines, and God test them individually.

  224. Because forgot to say, I'm the god of Abraham, Isaac, and

  225. Jacob, God is The God Who says, I'm personal.

  226. I'm not just the God for Christians.

  227. I'm not just a god of the Bible. I'm your God.

  228. I'm your friend. I'm your protector.

  229. I'm Your Leader. I'm your sanctifier.

  230. And so, we understand something about the personality of God.

  231. We understand something about the relationship that he longs

  232. to have with us as individuals. And as much as these men have

  233. something in common, they are very much different.

  234. Think about Abraham. Abraham had a father named Tara

  235. Abraham grew up in a place called earlier the Chaldeans.

  236. And Abraham perhaps we didn't realize this was not a man that

  237. was faithful to the Living. God, all his life.

  238. He lived in a pagan land and Abraham who we call.

  239. The father of Faith was actually a worshipper of false gods.

  240. That is Not Mere opinion. That is not speculation here.

  241. This verse when Joshua preaches to his people, look what he says

  242. about Abraham and Joshua 24:2, just listen.

    Joshua 24:2

  243. It says in Joshua said to all the people thus says the Lord

  244. the god of Israel long ago, your father's live, beyond the

  245. Euphrates Tara, the father of Abraham, and of nahor, and they

  246. served other gods. So we have this understand that

  247. Abraham just pops on the scene and God calls him, because he

  248. was faithful know when God found Abraham, when Abraham lived,

  249. most of his life. It was actually and idolatry.

  250. Living for and worshipping other deities.

  251. Other than the true and living God.

  252. And we understand from Genesis 12, that God calls this man,

  253. clearly at the age of 75. He not only caused him but he

  254. uses them in a mighty and glorious way.

  255. And here's how we understand something about Abraham.

  256. God, being the god of Abraham tells me this tells us this that

  257. if you've lived most of your life, most of your existence for

  258. yourself in your sin worshipping, even false god

  259. including yourself God is able to redeem you, God is able to

  260. renew you and God is able to empower you.

  261. For the rest of your life. And God can flip the script no

  262. matter how long you live to the human, I like Abraham.

  263. You might have wasted your existence for the most part but

  264. when I hear that God is the god of Abraham.

  265. What I hear is that God is a God that can redeem anybody because

  266. it's never too late and not just redeem that but have a plan for

  267. them. For the rest of their lives.

  268. God is the god of the one who can save you.

  269. Even if you're dying in your body, Is that you?

  270. You feel like you've wasted most of your teenage years.

  271. Do you feel like you've wasted your high school years, you're

  272. wasting your college Years? Do you feel like, now, you are

  273. just Awakening to the reality. Oh yeah, life is beyond the gods

  274. that I've created in my life. The things that I've pursued and

  275. worshipped God tells us through this title that he could save,

  276. you redeem, you renew, you restore, you and do things

  277. through you that you never thought you can imagine.

  278. If he did it for Abraham, you can do it for you.

  279. But it's not just the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac.

  280. And that's different because the god of Isaac concerning.

  281. Isaac is much different than Abraham.

  282. Isaac didn't grow up in a pagan land.

  283. Isaac isn't one that we hear that was worshipping false gods.

  284. Isaac was somebody that grew up in a household of faith Shirley

  285. Isaac heard the stories from his father, Abraham.

  286. From his mother, Sarah the faithfulness of God.

  287. Surely Isaac. When he came to that epic scene

  288. in Genesis 22, when he was willing to lay down his own

  289. life, on the altar, realize the intervention of God and even

  290. himself. Got a glimpse of a gospel when

  291. God provided a substitute for his own life.

  292. He heard it. He seen it.

  293. He smelted. He was in that environment.

  294. His whole life. Isaac in our context is the kid

  295. that grew up in the Christian home.

  296. He's the one since birth new about truth.

  297. But he's also the god of Isaac, you realize that, right?

  298. Because you read Isaac's life and you realize that Isaac

  299. experiences something of the goodness of God that God still

  300. calls Isaac even though Isaac was so familiar with God, that

  301. Isaac didn't have this radical shift this, this transformation

  302. that he lived for idols and he lived in a pagan land, God calls

  303. him out of that land to an unknown.

  304. And no Isaac, just grew up in it.

  305. Yeah. God still says I'm going to

  306. expose and reveal my goodness to you my Mercy, to you, my plans

  307. for you and through you. I still have a plan for The

  308. Isaacs. The Isaacs are not outside of my

  309. ability and my willingness in my wanting to show myself strong to

  310. them. He's the god of God of Isaac,

  311. which tells me something. Listen.

  312. If you probably majority of the place in this place, grew up in

  313. a Christian home with faithful parents.

  314. You might think that there is no plan, there might be no

  315. testimony. There might be no ability to

  316. relate to God. I mean, I've heard it over and

  317. over again. I haven't experienced God's love

  318. like that drug dealer. Did or that gang member did?

  319. I haven't experienced the goodness of God, because I

  320. didn't experience Darkness or I wasn't so filthy and sent to

  321. know the Redemptive power of his blood and so they get bored.

  322. And they just kind of cruise through life normally, but

  323. brothers and sisters realize, he's also the god of Isaac.

  324. And he shows himself to Isaac and he reveals himself to us.

  325. He speaks to Isaac the same way, he spoke to Abraham, and Jacob.

  326. So, you and I must never believe that.

  327. Just because I might have grown up in the certain context that I

  328. cannot know, God, the same way Abraham did, or Jacob did.

  329. But he's also the god of Jacob. Jacob is interesting.

  330. Because Jacob, like Isaac grew up in that Household of Faith.

  331. He had believing parents. I mean, Isaac knew the goodness

  332. of God. He had his wife in a miraculous

  333. fashion. He seen God bless him abundantly

  334. even right after he came out of backsliding, Genesis 26.

  335. But Jacob was different than Isaac in this.

  336. That we are introduced to him in a very negative light.

  337. Then when Jacob steps on the scene with his brother, Esau,

  338. both of them. Are incomplete rebellion and

  339. contradiction to what their conviction should have.

  340. Been. So how are we introduced to

  341. Jacob? Well, he lives up to his name.

  342. He's a trickster. He's a deceiver.

  343. He's a liar, he's a manipulator. And he eventually has to leave

  344. home because of his own sin and he's found in a Wilderness and

  345. he's found really in a mess for a good portion of his life.

  346. And Jacob speaks something about the one who grew up in a house

  347. where he's heard the Bible stories.

  348. He's went to Sunday school. He fell asleep in the youth

  349. meetings. He was dragged to conferences.

  350. And when he wanted to have his way, he would try to have his

  351. way. It was all about the flash.

  352. It was all about mine, the name. Jacob, as we're going to find

  353. out this, not just mean deceiver.

  354. It means he'll grab her. You know what Jacob was.

  355. He was a grabber. I want this.

  356. This is mine. I want that.

  357. That is mine. I want Her.

  358. She's Mine. I want the blessing.

  359. It's mine. I grab.

  360. I grab. I grab.

  361. It's about me. It's not about giving it's not

  362. about dying to self is not about extending though it's about how

  363. much can I gather in for myself? That's Jacob.

  364. And a lot of people in Christian households live just like that.

  365. I want to live for me, never mind the glory of God. yet God,

  366. Is the god of Jacobs. So as much as Jacob, try to do

  367. it, his own way. You see God chasing after Jacob.

  368. And as much as Jacob lived. To really bring shame to the

  369. name. God says, you know, Jacob as

  370. much as you think that you're going to do this your own way

  371. and you think that you've messed up to a degree, where it's

  372. unredeemable? I'm going to Seoul radically

  373. shift you. I'm in a sobre que Jacob, I'm

  374. going to so reveal myself to you that.

  375. I will literally physically change the way you walk.

  376. For the rest of his life, he would limp as a testimony of how

  377. God can change Jacobs into Israel's.

  378. And so, you have people. Unfortunately, Christian parents

  379. that approach and say my son is not living.

  380. According to how we taught him. My daughter is not living.

  381. According to way, we've raised her up.

  382. They're Grabbers, they're living for self.

  383. They have their own Ambitions. They have their own Pursuits.

  384. And yet, here's a message of hope.

  385. He's the god of Jacobs. So what do we understand when

  386. God says, I am the god of Abraham, the god of Isaac, the

  387. god of Jacob. This is what we understand.

  388. Whether you've lived most of your life herself living in

  389. idolatry living in sin. God can save you, change, you,

  390. and use you, whether you grew up in a household of faith, you

  391. don't have this radical story. And you feel as though you need

  392. that to know God in a special way, he's the god of Isaac's and

  393. he wants to speak to you and reveal himself to you just like

  394. the Abraham. Or whether you're like Jacob.

  395. You hear it, you know, it you understand it.

  396. You just haven't had an encounter with God yet.

  397. God is the god of Jacob, and he is so patient.

  398. So loving so forgiving, and he is so jealous for his glory.

  399. Do you know that he wants to use you in a way that it will

  400. display his manifest love? It's amazing.

  401. How God says, I am the god of Jacob even after his name is

  402. changed to Israel, he still chooses to identify himself with

  403. Jacob. As much as these men were

  404. different. And that's the point of this

  405. conference. We're going to explore in

  406. different sessions, these men and how God dealt with them

  407. differently. What principles they offer us

  408. through their lives. God has a commentary about all

  409. three men. It is astounding.

  410. What he says about these three men in the New Testament It's

  411. actually shattering how God actually comments on their

  412. lives. This is one to really highlight

  413. that's in Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11.

  414. Verse 16. Now when you understand the

  415. context you realize that he just finished speaking about Abraham,

  416. Isaac and Jacob And he says this in verse 16.

  417. He says, but as it is, they Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, they

  418. desire a better country. That is a Heavenly one.

  419. Now, listen to what God says about them.

  420. Please pay attention to this. Therefore, God is not ashamed to

  421. be called their God. For, he has prepared for them a

  422. city. God is not ashamed to be called

  423. their God. now, I look at that verse and I say praise God but I

  424. look at that verse also and I say, oh God, Because for God to

  425. be able to say, I'm not ashamed to be called their God implies

  426. that he can be ashamed to be called.

  427. Someone's God. I don't want to be one where God

  428. says, mmm. Yeah, he calls me Lord.

  429. Yeah, he says I'm God. Oh, but Abraham all.

  430. I miss God. I'm his Lord.

  431. I'm his master. Well, what about him?

  432. Yeah, I don't know how this works, really?

  433. I'm trying to fit this into my own theology, but I understand

  434. from The Book of Proverbs that even an Earthly father, if

  435. you've read Proverbs carefully, there are many instructions

  436. given for a son, not to bring shame to their father, for their

  437. daughter. Not to bring reproach to her

  438. mother. Here's the reality.

  439. If we are all believers in this place, we are all children of

  440. God. We are all adopted.

  441. We Are All in the Family by the grace and the Lord of ours

  442. saving sold. He is the one that can redeem us

  443. and bring us to that place. Yes by his finished work but We

  444. have to understand that even in an Earthly setting in a familiar

  445. setting that children relate to their parents differently and

  446. parents relate to their children differently.

  447. So when it says about these three men that he's not ashamed

  448. to be called their God, my question is why what did Abraham

  449. Isaac? And Jacob have forgot to say,

  450. I'm their God. And I will declare and he

  451. declared it through his word. Was it because of their spotless

  452. lies? Was it because of their

  453. consistent faithfulness? Was it because of their absence

  454. of failure? Because I read Abraham, Isaac

  455. and Jacob. And guess what?

  456. I see failure. Moments where they stepped out

  457. of faith more than once. I mean you hear the audible

  458. voice of God, the audible voice of God and your select.

  459. Yeah. Hey God still says, I'm not a

  460. shame. I mean, what was it, was it

  461. their gifting was at their abilities.

  462. What was it for God to say? My heart is stirred towards

  463. these meant to say, I'm their God.

  464. It's right there in the verse. It says here, but as it is, they

  465. desire. So wasn't even necessarily about

  466. what they did is about what they had in their hearts.

  467. All this is powerful Listen to this God's Delight in his heart

  468. listen God's Delight in his heart towards these men was

  469. provoked by the desire in their hearts.

  470. What move God's heart to the light in these men was when he

  471. Zoom past through the failure. He Zoom pass through the moral

  472. failure. He all these things, all these

  473. mistakes, all these hiccups, he Zoom past all of that and he

  474. looks into the hearts and he saw something in each of them, they

  475. desire. What do they desire?

  476. A better country? What they lived for.

  477. What provoked them, the Throne of their affections.

  478. Their Throne of their Ambitions with something Beyond this life.

  479. It was nothing of this world, it was nothing that was found here

  480. even when they were called to live in a place where they don't

  481. even know really down deep inside.

  482. They wanted something Beyond they wanted the Abode of God,

  483. they wanted to be in his presence, they wanted to be

  484. where he was, they wanted something that was otherworldly

  485. and this move God's heart to say though.

  486. You see these distractions and though you see the land, and

  487. though you've been blessed with many flocks and let em all these

  488. things. Peace with your enemies, you

  489. still have a desire. Other than these things.

  490. And so, I'm not ashamed to be called your God.

  491. So for me to move into that favor for me to move into that

  492. position with God, where he can look at me, says I'm not ashamed

  493. to be called as God, in 2019 is all found and what I truly want

  494. in this life. What do I want?

  495. What's really in my desires? I mean, listen, if we just open

  496. your heart even this morning and we look inside and see, what are

  497. your Joys and what are your Pursuits and what really brings

  498. Glee to you? What would it be?

  499. Is it? Well this and that.

  500. Well listen what's at stake? Here is the smile of God.

  501. What's at stake? Here, is God being able to look

  502. over you and be able to, I Love The Book of Job because Satan

  503. doesn't introduce job to God. God introduces job to Satan,

  504. just have you seen him? He's blessed, he's rich, but he

  505. fears me. Yeah.

  506. But because he loves the stuff that you give him touch his

  507. stuff. Let me up the anti touch his

  508. body. And watch.

  509. And I think I mean you read in Isaiah even where Abraham is

  510. referred to as a friend of God. All of that.

  511. Is found in the central truth. Found in Hebrews 11 16, they

  512. desired. A better country.

  513. Because it speaks about their desire for him.

  514. And that's why David was a man after God's heart.

  515. He failed, he royally messed up, no pun intended.

  516. He got, it can still identify him that way.

  517. And then you look at Saul who messed up not to the degree that

  518. David that in my opinion and God says, get rid of him.

  519. Why? Desire.

  520. Saul wanted position, David wanted presents.

  521. It's all about desire. And as we walk in that desire

  522. and we fall and we fail, there's no shame.

  523. And my whole life, I've heard of understand and never be ashamed

  524. of God. Don't ever be ashamed of the

  525. Gospel, don't ever be ashamed of the truth of the scriptures, but

  526. I have very rarely heard that concept of God.

  527. Not being a shitting me. Oh, thank God.

  528. That positionally in Christ. We Are All Sons and Daughters.

  529. Thank God for that. But practically relationally

  530. experientially Lord. Look into my heart.

  531. Do you see what you want to see? Lord.

  532. Look past my failures. Forgive me look past my

  533. inconsistencies, look past my fault.

  534. Look past, the thoughts that come in and crash sometimes

  535. against this one thing I have Lord and see all of it through

  536. this lens. I desire you about everything.

  537. I desire a better country. I'm not bound to this world.

  538. I'm, I'm a soldier and I live in tenza.

  539. I'm not I'm not stuck here. Lord, I need you.

  540. I want you. And God can look down and say I

  541. found one, I'm not ashamed to call his God.

  542. I want that more than anything. I want that commentary of my

  543. life more than anything. Forget anything else?

  544. Forget the praise of, man. Forget the titles.

  545. Forget the forget it for God to say hi.

  546. That desire that he has in his heart.

  547. Moves my heart. This is one in whom I can say, I

  548. miss God. I'm his Lord, I'm his master, we

  549. should be able to unassuming Lisa, he's my God, he's my Lord,

  550. he's my master, we should Proclaim that from the rooftops,

  551. but for God, to save from heaven, Down on the Earth.

  552. Say, that's my son. That's my daughter.

  553. Look at the desire in her heart. Look at all the things that come

  554. their way. Look at all the other Christians

  555. distracted with money. And all this otherworldly stuff,

  556. but him, I'm is God. Just going to end it there.

  557. Because I think that's enough for us to be able to say, Lord

  558. do something in me. When you and I hear that God is

  559. the god of Abraham. Isaac.

  560. And Jacob. What we hear is this, he's the

  561. promise keeper. If he said it, he means it.

  562. He is the resurrector the same way that they are right now in

  563. the presence of God and their bodies are awaiting to be

  564. glorified. So you and I have hope to

  565. realize that when we pass from this life, to the next, we will

  566. fellowship with these men. And we will be able to hear from

  567. their own mouths. Over some dinner, how good God

  568. is. But we also hear this, he is a

  569. god that is relational and he works in each and every single

  570. one of us and no matter where we come from.

  571. No matter what. We've grown up in no matter

  572. what, we've made his mistakes, God is still able to do

  573. something in and through us. And ultimately, they all have

  574. this. One thing in common though, they

  575. were all unique. I'm not ashamed to be called

  576. their God because they have a desire.

  577. For my presence. My kingdom, my will That's what

  578. God wants to be able to say about all of us.

  579. I think God it's not about performance.

  580. I thank God that he doesn't keep record of my wrong.

  581. I thank God that his smile is not based necessarily.

  582. On this or that, but he looks deep inside.

  583. And he sees the desire. And that moves his heart.

  584. Can we see him this morning and thank you for such a wonderful?

  585. God, we are praying to, in a moment, the god of Abraham,

  586. Isaac, and Jacob. Let's pray, just meditate on

  587. these truths before we do so corporately.

  588. Lord, we recognize you this morning as the god of Abraham,

  589. Isaac, and Jacob. With thank you that your

  590. personal. That you want to walk with each

  591. of us. You want to talk to each of us.

  592. You want to reveal yourself uniquely and individually Teach

  593. of us. Lord, we pray that.

  594. If there are any people in here, that might be any one of those,

  595. they can relate to any one of those people that you would make

  596. yourself known. Now they can see that, no matter

  597. where I am right now, God is still willing to relate to me.

  598. The father even now we pray for this corporate desire that you

  599. would be able to save this place over each person.

  600. I'm not ashamed. To be called their God.

  601. Because they desire. Better country.

  602. Lord, you call us to set our minds on the things above.

  603. You call us to set our affections on you Above All

  604. Things. So right now we pray that you

  605. would do that work in each heart.

  606. That every heart would be able to confidently display, the

  607. desire for greater things in you.

  608. And that would be the very thing that moves your heart towards

  609. us. But we praise you, we worship

  610. you invited this title that you've given to us.

  611. In Jesus name, amen.
