  1. Lift your bibles up anyway, okay, and let's wave them around and make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

  2. Say this together.

  3. Say, heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be here tonight.

  4. You've already moved in a mighty way, but you're not through, because the Word of God is coming forth, just what I need to hear to build my faith.

  5. Faith comes by hearing and hearing, and tonight I'm gonna receive revelation that will build my faith, develop my spirit in Jesus' name, amen.

  6. Ephesians, chapter three, please.

  7. This is one of those Holy Ghost prayers that Paul wrote when he prayed for the Ephesian church.

  8. There's one over in Ephesians one and chapter one and chapter two.

  9. It's part of two chapters, this one in Ephesians, chapter three.

  10. We'll start reading with verse 13.

  11. Wherefore I desire that you faint not at my tribulations.

  12. For you, which is your glory, for this cause, I bow my knees under the Father of our Lord, jesus Christ, of whom the whole family and heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His spirit in the inner man.

  13. See, the inner man is your spirit.

  14. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ, which passive knowledge, and that you might be filled with all the fullness of God, now, unto Him, that is able to do, exceeding abundantly, above all that you ask or think.

  15. One version says all that you dare ask or think According to the power that worketh in us.

  16. Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end.

  17. Amen.

  18. And let me read to you in verse 16, in the amplified, the crux of the center part of this prayer, that may he grant you, out of the rich treasure of His glory, to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man, by the Holy Spirit Himself dwelling in your innermost being and personality.

  19. Glory to God isn't that powerful.

  20. That's the amplified of verse 16.

  21. So tonight I just wanted to share a message entitled Reinforced with Power.

  22. Reinforced with power.

  23. You know, susie, wave at us, susie, she's sitting on the front row, right in front.

  24. She's teacher, teacher Now.

  25. She's been coming a short time, but I mean she's getting with it.

  26. And she approached me this morning.

  27. She had some questions.

  28. She said I've been bowing genesis and man, I'm having a heart.

  29. I said, well, leave the Old Testament alone for a while and get over here in these.

  30. So right now, see, we're getting into the meat of the deal.

  31. That's gonna help you more than Genesis will right now.

  32. Genesis will come later.

  33. You can find all about what happened to the Jews and how they you know, and all that.

  34. I'm not saying it in the word of God.

  35. It is, but this is written to you and me.

  36. It's written to us.

  37. So, as believers, you know we need to pay attention to Holy Ghost prayers that are written for us to pray.

  38. You need to start praying.

  39. You know these kinds of prayers for yourself and others that you want for them to grow spiritually.

  40. You want them to know what you know.

  41. And so why did Paul pray this prayer for the Ephesians?

  42. See, maybe you don't think the way I do, but okay, and it tells you right at the front.

  43. Verse 13 tells you exactly why he prayed this prayer.

  44. He prayed this prayer because he was concerned that they would faint because of all the afflictions that he was suffering.

  45. You know, he's their father in the faith, he's the one that started that church and no doubt Pastor was there for a season and you remember the history of the Ephesian church.

  46. He found 12 believers, you know, and they he said well, you know, we're baptized in John's baptism?

  47. Oh, you're not.

  48. You'd have heard the.

  49. You hadn't heard the latest.

  50. You need Jesus, you don't need John.

  51. So he preached to them in the gospel.

  52. They all got saved, they all got filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues and prophesied, and that was the beginning of the Ephesian church.

  53. In Acts, the 19th chapter.

  54. So he spent time in Asia Minor, he spent time with them.

  55. They got to know him.

  56. He's a father in the faith and now he's in jail.

  57. He's been persecuted for his, you know, for his faith, and so he does not want them to be moved by these tribulations and trouble that he was in.

  58. You know, many times we pray about things from the outside.

  59. We pray about tribulation, we pray about trouble, we pray about pain, we pray about sickness.

  60. We pray about, you know, a wayward child.

  61. We pray him from the outside.

  62. And I'm not saying you shouldn't, but you know, let's not leave out these kind of prayers.

  63. We're actually these prayers.

  64. You're praying for the inside, you're actually praying for your spirit.

  65. That's kind of interesting, isn't it.

  66. See, your spirit is born again.

  67. Why would I need to pray for my spirit?

  68. I'm born again.

  69. It's going to heaven?

  70. Well, that's right.

  71. But your spirit has got all kinds of stages.

  72. Your spirit can be.

  73. It can be confused.

  74. Junk can be in your spirit that you've heard and let stay in your brain long enough for it to get down in your spirit.

  75. If you're a born again Christian and you were ever taught in church that healing passed away, well, you've got some things to pull out of there.

  76. Brother Hagin, one time he was praying long time, you know he'd pray in tongues long time.

  77. He'd pray hours on end, praying tongues, praying tongues.

  78. And he said you know, I got to this place where there's something down on the inside that needed to come out, and I didn't.

  79. I couldn't figure it out.

  80. He said I just kept praying and praying, and praying.

  81. And finally he said I was just by the Holy Ghost.

  82. I was able to reach on the inside of me and pull out what looked like an old brown shoe that was worn out.

  83. Your spiritual things have they look like something?

  84. I mean, what would you ever do with an old pair of not even a pair of shoe one shoe, a brown shoe that was worn out, that was sitting in there.

  85. Well, you know, you could speculate what it was, but probably some kind of old false doctrine, some kind of theory that some preacher you know he was raised up in the Baptist church and his pastor came in front of him told his mother, you need to get him ready to die.

  86. He's going to die.

  87. Get him used to it, get him ready.

  88. He didn't pray for his healing, he thought healing passed away.

  89. I mean, people are raised up under all kinds of crazy stuff.

  90. Well, if you were born again and your spirit heard that, are you with me now?

  91. Well, you can't just snap your fingers and just sprinkle some gold dust over your head and all of it leave.

  92. I mean, you're gonna have to do some.

  93. You're gonna have to do some work.

  94. See what kind of work will pray this prayer for yourself, amen.

  95. And so this prayer deals with the inner man, the spirit of a man, the part of you that's born again, the part of you that's gonna live forever but it's not yet mature.

  96. In many cases we go through growth spurts where we start we're all born the same way, we're born as babies and then we progress.

  97. And if we're sitting under a good ministry like this, where you're hearing the word of God on a regular basis, your spirit will take off.

  98. Your spirit will just.

  99. It'll grow and grow and grow and grow until you, you know, you don't ever get to the place where you graduate.

  100. You know, in the natural, you go to school and you graduate, we finally graduate.

  101. But you don't start off in the 12th grade.

  102. You start off nowadays, you start off in pre-K.

  103. I think they got a pre pre-K now.

  104. When I was going to school, I didn't even have a kindergarten.

  105. I started in first grade and no such thing as pre-K.

  106. I you know, and I don't remember, that my mother taught me to read before I went to school.

  107. You know, my grandkids all were reading when they were just little, little bitty things.

  108. I mean, I couldn't get over how they could read, could barely talk and they could read.

  109. I was not in that case, so none of us.

  110. And you're born again.

  111. You're born as a baby and you grow.

  112. If you're feeding on a bunch of junk, then your spirit is immature.

  113. Your spirit has got things in it that need to either come out or you need to grow through, or whatever.

  114. So this prayer isn't very valuable, but I pray it every day over myself, every day.

  115. Pray for it, pray myself.

  116. I pray the Ephesians one prayer and the Ephesians three prayer.

  117. And so in 2 Corinthians 4, it says our reman parishes, but the inward man is renewed day by day.

  118. We ought to be renewing our inner man every day by feeding it the word of God and praying these kinds of prayers that are in the Bible.

  119. There's some valuable prayers Philippians, chapter four, that your love may abound yet more and more knowledge and all judgment.

  120. That you may approve things that are excellent, that you may be perfect and sincere, wanting nothing.

  121. I mean, you know we've got all kind of wonderful prayers in there to pray about all kinds of things that have to do with your inner man.

  122. So notice, it says that we can pray for God to reinforce with mighty power our inner man by the Holy Ghost himself dwelling in our innermost being and personality.

  123. I mean this prayer can actually affect your personality.

  124. I'm thinking, boy, what if the church's personality got really touched by the Holy Ghost?

  125. Wouldn't it be a lot easier to get things done?

  126. You wouldn't have so many opinions and contrary people that have voiced their fleshly opinion about every thing under the sun.

  127. And so you know, I remember we started work in Haiti as a category two in Houston, and I know when I hit we were in this building 2008, and I calculated that Ike cost the church about $80,000 and lost tithes.

  128. People quit coming to church, people quit tithing for a while, quit giving for a while.

  129. I mean, I don't know what the, I don't know what the storm is, but I think it's a great opportunity to get things done.

  130. And to get things done.

  131. I don't know what the storm had to do with their finances hard to believe that everybody's finances were affected but our finances were affected and we were just starting a new phase out here, and so I was talking to the Lord.

  132. I said you know I'm not putting up with this.

  133. We want that money back.

  134. That money's ours belongs here.

  135. And he said well, you know what you need to help Haiti.

  136. They got it when it was a category four.

  137. So what did he do?

  138. He pointed me in a direction to go give something towards somebody that had a worse need than we did.

  139. So we started.

  140. We found brother Max Manning.

  141. He's 95 and he's fixing to go to Malawi.

  142. And what was the other one?

  143. Uganda.

  144. Anyway, he's going to Africa this month and he's gonna preach a crusade.

  145. Can't you imagine, 95 years old, still preaching crusades on the radio every day?

  146. And to pick a Kansas.

  147. I mean, he is something else.

  148. All of you remember brother Max I interviewed him right up here and he goes to Haiti.

  149. He's in Haiti more than I mean.

  150. I don't know how he goes and makes it in Haiti.

  151. Haiti is just for one of a better word.

  152. It's a hellhole.

  153. I mean, it is just a pit Lawlessness.

  154. You think it's bad in New York City, in San Francisco?

  155. Try Port-au-Prince.

  156. It's horrible, kidnapping and he goes.

  157. Angels go with him.

  158. Anyway, we got in a relationship with him and started helping him and sending him meals and sending him different things, helping him as best we can.

  159. And then, after that, they had the earthquake and it was a whole lot worse because the earthquake destroyed Port-au-Prince and I think James and Royce had gone over and stayed there in the early stages and when they went back, of course, they couldn't stay there because the hotel had fallen down.

  160. All the buildings in Port-au-Prince are concrete and they're not reinforced with steel, they're not built properly and they just crumble and I don't know how many people were displaced.

  161. I mean, they had to leave town.

  162. There was no place for them to be.

  163. They needed reinforced concrete.

  164. They didn't have it and in San Francisco and California and LA they've got buildings that predate the technology to make them earthquake-proof.

  165. They've had some earthquakes, a lot of buildings fell, but they came up with a way to reinforce after the fact and they put cables.

  166. They've drilled down, they put cables up the sides of the buildings and they anchor the cables to the building and allows the buildings to sway, but they won't collapse.

  167. They're strengthened and reinforced.

  168. Wouldn't that be good to be strengthened and reinforced where, when these things come against you, these mighty waves of persecution and trouble and everything else, that we're strengthened and reinforced with mighty power.

  169. We won't collapse?

  170. Paul didn't want the church to collapse.

  171. In John 14, 16, jesus started talking to them.

  172. You know they were about to collapse because Jesus is leaving them and they're bummed out.

  173. And he said but you know, but it's better for you that I go away, because if I don't go away you won't get the Holy Ghost.

  174. But the Holy Ghost will come.

  175. The Father will send him in my name, in other words, in my place, he will take my place.

  176. The comforter will come, the paraclete, and so that's about.

  177. He's there to urge or exhort, like a general does his troops.

  178. I like what Barkley William Barkley says about the word paraclete.

  179. We translated comforter, but comforter is just not exactly what it is.

  180. It's not like, oh poor baby.

  181. It's not that kind of comfort.

  182. It's different.

  183. It's the kind of comfort and consolation in distress that keeps one on their feet when, if left to themselves, would collapse.

  184. It enables one to pass the breaking point and not break oh, come on man right now, come on, glory to God.

  185. That's the kind of, that's the kind of Holy Ghost we have on the inside of us, and this prayer has everything to do with you acknowledging that and gaining from that so that he can strengthen and reinforce you.

  186. Man, if we're ever a time when Christians have to be strengthened and reinforces right now, because we're seeing the end times play out before our very faith I mean, you can get, you can get bummed out real quick just watching the news.

  187. You know it's, you know you see these Palestinian protesters in Washington DC come up to our World War II monuments and right on their death to America.

  188. You know, I'd like to I'm with Trump on this I'd like to scoop all of them up.

  189. They're all here illegally.

  190. Let's scoop them up and send them back where they came from.

  191. We don't need those people here and while we're at it, we should not open our borders for more Palestinians to come.

  192. There's enough of them that came illegally already without rubber stamping.

  193. A bunch of them that come over here and bring their mess.

  194. You know they're the ones that are violent, oh, but they're not Hamas.

  195. Well, they're all violent.

  196. They might not be Hamas, but they're violent.

  197. They celebrate.

  198. They celebrate the death and destruction.

  199. I know there's a few handful of receptions to the rule, but not very many.

  200. Thank God we can get to the breaking point and not break.

  201. So we need to recognize this power, this dunamis.

  202. It's supernatural power.

  203. It's not willpower, it's not determination, it's not, you know, it's not all this stuff.

  204. It's supernatural power that we can be reinforced and strengthened with.

  205. I hadn't told this in a while but I liked to watch, you know, war movies and stuff and we were soldiers.

  206. I knew the guy that wrote that book and he's a guy from Euferio and then American Sniper.

  207. You know it's got some rough spots in the movie, but I mean I watch it because it reminds me of the price that was paid and a lot of people just think freedom is inherited.

  208. No, it's paid for by blood and money and it's not automatic.

  209. We're losing our freedom and people just think it's just here forever.

  210. Well, it's getting stolen every day and when I watch those movies I just cry because I think, well, they didn't die for that, that's not what they died for.

  211. But anyway, chris Kyle was the American Sniper.

  212. He was set the record 160, some odd kills.

  213. When they were in Fallujah they were going door to door, just kind of like Israel is right now door to door.

  214. This is the urban warfare.

  215. This is the most dangerous kind of warfare there is.

  216. And these lunatics, the State Department and Biden and all of them telling them to take a pause and take a break and quit killing babies, all this kind, it's just a bunch of lies.

  217. Nobody takes more care than Israel does to stay away from innocent people.

  218. Quote, unquote.

  219. Who are they anyway?

  220. Who are the innocent people?

  221. How do you tell who they are?

  222. So I mean that's a whole another problem.

  223. But Chris Kyle when the towers fell he decided to enlist and he enlisted and joined the Navy SEALs and he's at least 10 years older than anybody else that's out there.

  224. I mean he was a cowboy, he was going to rodeos, he was just living his life and so he's way past the age that most people would join up to be a SEAL.

  225. So he's a big guy, he's a hook, and they get you out there and they try to break you, and they break a lot of guys.

  226. I mean, once you ring the bell you can end the suffering.

  227. Right now, just run over there and ring the bell and it's over.

  228. They're trying to get them to ring the bell.

  229. Whenever they hear the ring the bell, they know that somebody left, that they couldn't take the suffering.

  230. I mean they have to go through suffering.

  231. They have to go through worse torture than the enemy would exact upon them in order to be trained to endure that.

  232. It's a whole another ball game, I mean.

  233. So.

  234. Anyway, he's laying on his back with his shoulders above off the ground and his legs off the ground.

  235. So the only thing contacting the ground is his rear end and part of his small of his back.

  236. The rest of him is just is up in the air and he's holding this big old, heavy log over his head like this, and he's wet with the cold Pacific water, that's.

  237. You know he's shaking, he's at the edge of hypothermia and they're squirting garden hose in his face.

  238. When are you going to quit, kyle?

  239. Come on, old man, you've had enough of this.

  240. Why don't you go on back to bull riding?

  241. You know, they know enough about you to use it against you.

  242. You know, and they're just man.

  243. They're going over and telling them have the bells right over there, just go ring the bell.

  244. How you feeling now, kyle?

  245. He said I'm feeling dangerous.

  246. Well, I had to watch the movie three times before I got a hold because he was shaking so bad.

  247. I didn't hear what he said.

  248. You know I had.

  249. I said I need to hear what he said.

  250. What did he say?

  251. And I slowed it down and got it down, you know, and and I'm feeling dangerous I robbed it from him.

  252. I'm feeling, I see I'm getting so reinforced with the Holy Ghost I'm feeling dangerous to the devil.

  253. You feeling dangerous yet.

  254. So you know this is going to sound like a broken record because I say it all the time, but I'm going to say it Again tonight ways to strengthen and reinforce your inner man.

  255. How many of you are interested?

  256. Well, number one on the list is praying much in other tongues.

  257. I mean it's a lost, almost a lost art anymore.

  258. It's not emphasized near enough.

  259. It's the hardest thing to do to pray in tongues for an hour straight.

  260. And so you know, don't get discouraged if you quit after five minutes, but you're going to have to just get used to taking and scheduling your time.

  261. You're see, praying in other tongues.

  262. You're under you're spirit pray, but your understanding is unfruitful, so your mind wanders and so that's part of the discipline of it is just staying with it.

  263. No matter what your mind is doing, just keep doing it because your spirit's praying.

  264. Jude, jude, verse 20 says praying in other tongues, building yourself up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

  265. You build yourself up, you're reinforcing yourself.

  266. Who's yourself?

  267. Your spirit.

  268. Your spirit is reinforced, it's built up by praying in other tongues.

  269. I mentioned brother Hagin a while ago.

  270. He prayed in tongues all the time.

  271. I have to pray in tongues.

  272. I can't do what I do without praying in other tongues.

  273. I pray in my understanding, but I pray in other tongues.

  274. Build myself up, edify myself.

  275. Word edify means like like recharge a battery.

  276. The second one is feeding on the word, and when I say the word I mean the Ramah word, the logos is good.

  277. We need the logos, we read the logos.

  278. But you know, if you ever had this happen, where you read the logos, read the word, the word.

  279. There's two words in the Greek that mean word of God logos and Ramah.

  280. Logos is just the printed page.

  281. You read it, but the Ramah is God breathed.

  282. The Ramah word is a word that jumps off the page and hits you and it's really God speaking directly to you through the word.

  283. Sometimes you get Ramah words at church, Sometimes you get Ramah words listening to someone else, but primarily you the Ramah's, the Ramah's, the Ramah's, the Ramah's that I've gotten, or just gotten, because I'm praying much in the Holy Ghost and I'm reading my Bible.

  284. I'll give you one example.

  285. One time I was, I was reading my Bible about David and he wanted to build God a house.

  286. And he went to Nathan.

  287. The prophet said you know, I want to build God's house.

  288. Not right for God to be living in this tent.

  289. I want to build him a house.

  290. I'm rich man, I can do it.

  291. I've got the money it takes.

  292. I want to build.

  293. He said go ahead, do all that's in your heart.

  294. He gave him the blessing and that night God came to Nathan and says, uh-uh, it's good for him, it's right and good for him to want to build me a house, but he's not the one that I would have do it.

  295. He's a man of blood, he shed too much blood on the earth and he can't do it.

  296. But I'm pleased that he wants to.

  297. And because he wants to, I'm going to let his son, solomon, do it.

  298. And so he had to go back and see that's kind of a, that's the egg on your face when you're the prophet and you have to say King's ex, I spoke out of turn.

  299. You know, it's kind of you really.

  300. It kind of took his life.

  301. I mean, david could have killed him right there, could have took the sword out and just.

  302. And I don't pay you to give me your opinion, I pay you to speak for God, and you spoke for God yesterday, and now you're telling me you didn't.

  303. How can I trust you?

  304. But he didn't do that.

  305. He didn't do it.

  306. You had mercy on Nathan.

  307. I bet Nathan was tiptoeing back today that you're telling me.

  308. You know that thing yesterday.

  309. I love the Bible, I love reading it, but anyway.

  310. So I'm reading this, I'm reading this.

  311. You know, I'm just reading it.

  312. I'm not.

  313. I'm not praying right now, I'd prayed already, but I'm reading it.

  314. And he said tell David, I'll build him a house.

  315. And just like that Ramah Word came up I'm gonna build you a house.

  316. Well, at that time I was in a rent house.

  317. I was broke, I was barely surviving.

  318. I just got back in the home building business and it was paying me just enough to pay my bills.

  319. I didn't have a good payday yet, I mean, I just barely existing, and I was building very nice homes that I didn't even care if I ever owned one of them.

  320. It didn't bother me at all to walk through a 5,000 square foot home it's all decked out and me not be able to afford anything but a rent house.

  321. It didn't bother me at all.

  322. I did not even want a house and I'd always lived in my own houses.

  323. You know, for years we'd use my own, my house, as a sales house.

  324. You know it'd be the how we would sell houses, that I'd bring people over and my house is furnished and I'd show them what I do and all that.

  325. But I'd gotten away from that and I just asked.

  326. I said, lord, you're gonna build me a house, yeah?

  327. And I said well, okay, and I prayed David's prayer to receive it.

  328. I knew, even though I didn't want it be honest with you, I didn't want to have to believe for it, my faith was not there to believe for it.

  329. But I went ahead and prayed David's prayer as if it was like me accepting what the Lord said, cause I knew it was the Lord that told me.

  330. And?

  331. But it took about eight years for that to come to pass.

  332. And God did build me a house.

  333. I didn't build it, god built me a house and I bought it from the builder.

  334. I mean, it's the weirdest thing.

  335. I mean, who would ever think that that could happen?

  336. But that's exactly what happened.

  337. A Ramah word, and Matthew four, jesus said man shall not live by bread or loan, but by every Ramah of God shall man live.

  338. So it's important for you to receive Ramahs and then feed on them, meditate on them.

  339. I have to tell you I didn't meditate much on that word.

  340. Maybe he'd have got it to me quicker if I had, but I tell you when I needed it, because the rent house we were in was owned by someone that lived out of city, out of the city, and they didn't pay all the maintenance and the subdivision H-O-A decided they wanted the house.

  341. So they executed foreclosure on the house.

  342. And so the one night we'd started the church, the church was going, you know, and I'm still in a rent house.

  343. I'm perfectly comfortable, everything is just fine.

  344. I'm not looking at any houses.

  345. I'd really forgotten about that word.

  346. I mean, I don't even think about it because I don't want to have to believe for a house.

  347. Besides that, we just started the church, what am I doing?

  348. Trying to buy a house when we just started the church?

  349. And so the constable comes to mind and tries to serve me papers.

  350. I said I'm not the owner of the house.

  351. Well, where does he live?

  352. I don't know, I'm not going to tell you.

  353. If I did know, and I didn't know his address had a PO box.

  354. I knew the city.

  355. I said I'm not going to tell you.

  356. You full clothes on this house.

  357. Yeah, that's what he said.

  358. Well, I'm not going to cooperate.

  359. Well, that's okay, I'm just looking for the owner.

  360. He'll find him.

  361. I said well, I know you will.

  362. And so that spurred me.

  363. I had to get out of my blessed assurance.

  364. Then I had to get out of you know, and I remembered the word.

  365. Then I said well, god, you said you'd build me a house, and so we found it.

  366. Praise God, we found where it was.

  367. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every rama of God.

  368. All right, talking about ways to strengthen and reinforce your inner man, let's look at Colossians, chapter two, just a few pages over Ephesians, philippians, colossians, verse 19,.

  369. Not holding the head, talking about Jesus, from which all the body, by joints and bands, having nourishment, ministered and knit together, increases with the increase of God.

  370. So the body, from this power from the head, brings nourishment that joints and bands.

  371. You know we're part of a body and that power flows through the body to us to increase us with the increase of God.

  372. So what does that mean?

  373. That without the local church you're not gonna be reinforced with mighty power to the degree that you need to be.

  374. You need divine associations.

  375. I said you need divine associations.

  376. This is one of the primary divine associations you can ever have is this local church.

  377. This local church you know, friends, friends.

  378. Friends is for the lost people, friends is for people that are immature.

  379. You don't need friends.

  380. You need divine associations.

  381. You need people from which nourishment can flow from them and nourishment can flow out of you to them.

  382. Friends, I mean, that's just a light term.

  383. I'm not saying you can't have friends, but you know we're moving to the end of the line here.

  384. I'm here with my heart.

  385. I'm not telling anybody to just be friends somebody on Facebook or something, but that's not a real friend.

  386. Anyway, on Facebook that's not a friend.

  387. They call them friends but that's not a friend.

  388. Friend is really a covenant term and we've turned business people that we work with we.

  389. They might be the nicest people in the world, but they don't know what you know.

  390. They're not going to this church, they're not gonna be able to give you what you need.

  391. So how much time do you wanna spend around people that have no godly purpose in your life?

  392. You know the enemy of best is good.

  393. You know you can have a good friend and lose the best association you could ever have.

  394. Some of you are looking at me like he is crazy.

  395. He's trying to get me to get rid of my friend.

  396. No, I'm trying to get you to think about it correctly.

  397. I mean, this is the epistle.

  398. Jesus is your Lord.

  399. He should have something to say about your associations.

  400. And I know people.

  401. I'm sorry they just run from pillar to post.

  402. You know, going to every kind of party.

  403. You can think of every kind of birthday party, every kind of anniversary party, every kind of nothing party, every kind of this, every kind of.

  404. I'm gonna go to see their game, I'm gonna go, blah, blah, blah, blah.

  405. They're thinking that they're doing some.

  406. They're missing God a hundred miles.

  407. They're off base.

  408. Don't do that.

  409. Don't just get so sucked into everybody's drama that you're not hooked up with the people that you need to be hooked up with.

  410. You're gonna increase with what?

  411. The increase of God by these joints and bands having nourishment ministered.

  412. Amen.

  413. So develop those divine associations of joints and ligaments.

  414. Hebrews 10, turn over there.

  415. I just preached on this last week.

  416. Verse 24, neglect, not the assembling of yourselves.

  417. Together, let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.

  418. Is that gonna happen with your friends If they're lost?

  419. It's not gonna happen.

  420. You're gonna be winding, you're gonna be talking to them about their drama, and you've been doing the same thing for 15 years and they're still not saved.

  421. Are you getting this or not?

  422. Am I being too hard?

  423. Look, we've just gotta grow up and grow out of this habit.

  424. It's a habit where the devil comes and gets you obligated to the nth degree to people that have no godly purpose in your life.

  425. Don't you want people with a godly purpose in your life?

  426. Don't you wanna be available to them and them be available to you?

  427. Man, I mean, that's so vital.

  428. But people just kind of go through life and they five years go by, 10 years go by, 15 years go by they don't know anybody in this church.

  429. They come here every week.

  430. They don't know anybody, they haven't really hooked up with anybody, they just kind of just all by themselves.

  431. But they've got lots of friends that have no godly purpose in their life.

  432. What's that gonna do to them?

  433. Well, it's gonna mean that they're not gonna have the kind of reinforcement that God had planned for them.

  434. That's all so.

  435. Hebrews 10, 24 said let us consider one another, provoke unto love and the good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another so much the more as you see the day approaching.

  436. That's the local church.

  437. That's what that's talking about.

  438. It's not talking about work.

  439. It's not talking about the neighborhood.

  440. It's not talking about your next door neighbor.

  441. It's not saying that you have to just be rude to anybody.

  442. I'm saying how much time are you expending, spending all the place?

  443. Do you remember the Ed Sullivan show?

  444. Ed Sullivan show I know I'm dating myself, but we used to have the Ed Sullivan show.

  445. I think it was on Sunday night and they'd have these acts.

  446. They would come through and they had this one guy they had these pool cues, looked like a pool cue, and he'd put a plate on the top of the pool cue and spin the plate and he would spin the plate and he would sit up there and spin and the pool cue would be sitting straight and it's like a gyroscope, you know, it's just spinning, you know.

  447. And they'd have this music Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da da.

  448. And then all of a sudden this plate starts wobbling, see.

  449. So everybody's going, oh, go over to that plate.

  450. And he runs over there and he catches it in midair, spins it again, and so the whole act is about how many plates he can spin before they fall and break on the floor.

  451. Okay, is that your life.

  452. Man, let's not spin the plates.

  453. Everybody say I'm representing from the spin plate ministry.

  454. All right, develop divine associations and the message it says spurring each other on, spurring each other on that's what we need.

  455. We need people to spur us on and to encourage us and people that need encouragement.

  456. And the last one is praising God.

  457. Praising God, and I wanted to give an example of praise.

  458. You know we can praise God, praise God, hallelujah, thank you Jesus.

  459. Well, we can do that, but what?

  460. How about this?

  461. How about taking this thing that we pray, this prayer that we just prayed in Ephesians, chapter 13?

  462. And you just go down each verse and praise Him for whatever in that verse?

  463. Have your Bible open in your lap and start thanking God for each individual verse.

  464. You know you can start praising God more specifically about things that you just got through praying.

  465. You know praying is something we're supposed to pray and then, with thanksgiving, pray with thanksgiving.

  466. That's what.

  467. That's what the that's the prescription, that's the way you're supposed to pray.

  468. You don't just pray and add and pray this prayer and be done with it.

  469. You need to praise God for what you prayed.

  470. So you just go down verse 13,.

  471. Lord, I thank you that I don't have to feign at my tribulations, lord, at God, because I've prayed this prayer.

  472. I bowed my knees to the Father of my Lord, jesus Christ, and I'm so thankful that I'm named with your name.

  473. See, I'm going down the list of things that I just got through praying and I'm thanking Him that I'm named with His name.

  474. I thank you that I'm in the household of God that he would grant you according to the riches of the Lord.

  475. I thank you that I'm strengthening and reinforced with mighty power in my inner man.

  476. Today I'll leave this time of prayer and I'm different.

  477. I'm stronger.

  478. Look at verse 17,.

  479. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith.

  480. Now, see, isn't that kind of weird?

  481. I mean, this is driven.

  482. This is written to Christians.

  483. I thought they were saved, I thought Jesus lived in their heart and yet they're praying for Christ to dwell in their hearts by faith.

  484. Why is he saying that?

  485. Well, you know, amplified says dwell and have a happy home in my heart by faith.

  486. Really, what he's talking about is talking about the legal side.

  487. Legally, yes, jesus lives in there in the person of the Holy Ghost.

  488. That's legal, because when you got saved, the Holy Ghost came and lived in you, but this is a realization that it's no longer you that liveth, but Christ liveth in me.

  489. See, that's what Paul had.

  490. Paul got into the place of growth where he didn't look at his own life as his own life.

  491. He looked at his life as Christ.

  492. It's no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me, for the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

  493. So he saw himself as Christ.

  494. He saw Him.

  495. He just knew when he got on the scene.

  496. Jesus got on the scene.

  497. Aren't we part of Him?

  498. Aren't we one with Him?

  499. See, that's not wrong to think that it doesn't mean that you're God.

  500. And you're not saying that you are God, but you're saying that you are named with His name, you're part of Him.

  501. You're bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh.

  502. Amen, that's what that's really talking about.

  503. And you're thinking for it.

  504. And, lord, I'm thinking you that I'm comprehending, with all saints, what is the breadth and length and depth and height and the height of the love of God.

  505. I'm knowing more and more about His vastness, of His love for me, and I'm so thankful for it and you just keep on going at verse by verse.

  506. Are you getting anything out of this?

  507. So let's look at this last verse, verse 21.

  508. Under Him, be glory in the church throughout all ages.

  509. By Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end to end.

  510. Be glory in the church.

  511. We're praying that, lord.

  512. Thank you for the glory in the church.

  513. The word glory is the Greek word doxa.

  514. If you read it in the Hebrew it's very similar to Hebrew.

  515. The word is kabod.

  516. Listen to what glory, what it means in these languages.

  517. It's hard to get an English word, one English word, to convey the meaning.

  518. As I've said over and over recently, it's good to study your Bible.

  519. It's good to have a concordance.

  520. It's good to have other books.

  521. You know the linguistic key to the Greek New Testament I found is a real great aid to my study, because those guys are there's not one guy, there's a bunch of Greek scholars wrote that little book and I mean they know what the Greek means.

  522. And listen to these words.

  523. That glory means.

  524. Glory means what Wealth numbers.

  525. Commerce in the church, commerce in the church.

  526. You know the church ought to be doing commerce.

  527. Well, we're doing commerce, man.

  528. We're sending goods across the water in shipping containers to Africa, to Haiti and places.

  529. I mean you know we're doing some commerce.

  530. Wisdom, promotion Under him be, promotion in the church by Christ Jesus.

  531. Dignity, power, superiority, superiority oh, that's pride, no, it's holy ghost, superiority, authority.

  532. Splendor To him be splendor in the church.

  533. Glory to God, nobility, yeah, valor, and well, I like that one.

  534. Valor, magnificence To him be, magnificence in the church throughout all ages.

  535. Extraordinary privileges and advantages To him be extraordinary privileges and advantages in the church throughout all ages.

  536. I'm telling you, in the days ahead, in the eons ahead of us, the church of Jesus Christ is gonna look like all these words.

  537. It's going to be all wrapped up in the body of Christ.

  538. We are gonna be among the most esteemed and revered persons or beings.

  539. I should say beings, because there's gonna be a lot of different kinds of beings.

  540. There's gonna be beings that are not in the church, that are yet saved.

  541. I mean there's Jewish people that you know.

  542. When they get saved, they're not gonna be in the body of Christ, they're a different category.

  543. And people, tribulation, saints.

  544. There's gonna be people saved in the tribulation.

  545. They're gonna be in a different.

  546. They're not gonna have brand new bodies like us.

  547. They're gonna die and then there's no promise that they're gonna have a glorified body like us.

  548. I mean, we're gonna be so magnificent.

  549. The splendor on us individually and collectively.

  550. Are y'all getting this now?

  551. This is what we're praying for For all ages.

  552. No, not just nothing, it's you know, now and down the road, all ages, throughout all ages is what we're praying.

  553. So we'll be reinforced with God's mighty power in our inner man and personality.

  554. Come on, lift your hands and receive Praise.

  555. God, you get anything out of this.

  556. Did I wet your appetite for something great?

  557. I want you to raise your sights, amen.
