Building Your Ark

Minister on the subject tonight of is I'm going to call it build your ark, build your ark, and a lot of this material I recently learned just by reading a tiny little book out there at our media center by Ms Trina Hankins, called Effective Prayers for your Family, and so we're just going to start with that.

But then I had a little download during worship tonight, because y'all can do how many of you?

When you're worshiping God, you, I mean does God talk to you?

He talked, he talked to me, and so I have some other things too.

So I'm going to fit it all in, though, boom, turn with me, if you would.

First of all to Hebrews 11, the hall of fame of faith, hebrews 11.

And I'm going to call out three different people.

Ark of course we associate that with Noah, but why did Noah build an ark?

Why do we need to build an ark?

First of all, in one sense, we're already on the ark.

We're on the, in the, in the body of Christ.

We are safe from the judgment that comes upon the world.

Of course, after Noah came and the floods came, god sent what in the sky?

He sent a rainbow in the sky, and that was his promise that he would never, ever again, destroy the earth with a flood, but we know that heaven and earth will pass away in some form or fashion, and it's just real nice to know, as a believer, that in Jesus, because of his blood, because we have called upon his name, we have already climbed into that ark and we are safe from judgment that falls on the earth.

We might see the rain drops, we might see the world shaking around us, but we are safe.

But in the sense though, that we, we can protect our family, we can bring people on to this ark with us.

How do we build an ark?

And so let's look at there are there are three people here in Hebrews, 11, seven, more than that, but it just listen to the family angle on these three people.

We've got Noah, moses and Rahab.

So in 11, seven it says by faith, noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

So, by faith, noah saw the judgment coming.

God spoke to him, and because he had the responsibility of the family and men, I just want I don't know that you get enough credit all the time, day in and day out, for the weight that you carry for your family.

You care about different things than the woman cares about.

You care about big picture provider things and we care about relationships and details and other things by and large.

But you it can be a heavy load carrying for your family and especially if God comes and tells you I'm about to flood everybody on the earth and I need you to build this ark.

And some people say it took him 40 years to build, some to be.

I've heard it all my life.

Somebody said it would took 100 years to build, but there's no real evidence of that.

The Jews say he took 120 years, but whatever it was.

Second, peter called Noah a preacher of righteousness.

We don't know what he ever said, but we do know that he preached with his hands.

There's a flood coming.

There's a flood coming with every gopher tree of gopher wood that he hewed down, with every nail that he or peg or however he built this humongous ark.

I like to look at this sanctuary and say is it about the size of the ark?

I don't know.

It feels like an ark in here, but but he built it with no power tools, nothing.

And he did it for the saving of his household and an obedience to God, and God counted it as righteousness to him.

And so if you turn back to Genesis six, verse seven, it says so.

The Lord said I will destroy the man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping things and birds of the air.

I am sorry that I have made them.

That's a sad.

I mean.

God made something and his creel and when he first made it it was good.

He saw.

He said let there be light.

He saw that it was good.

He said let the firmament be divided from the waters, from the waters.

And he saw, and it was good.

He said and he saw my dad pointed that out this morning.

But but then it turned, it corrupted.

And that's what happens when the devil gets involved he corrupts things.

And so it was all evil and it said but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Everybody say that's me, you have found grace.

This is the genealogy of Noah.

He was a just man, perfect in his generations, he walked with God and he beget three sons, shem, ham and Jabeth.

And the earth also was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence.

Violence.

Maybe you have heard this before, but recently, if you look up that word violence in the Hebrew, it is the word Hamas.

That is the Hebrew word.

The earth was filled with violence, cruelty, wrong damage, false injustice, oppression, unrighteousness, violence, hamas I don't think it's an accident that that is the devil's terror group right now, but there was Hamas on the earth, and I know that this.

There's judgment coming and and we see wars and rumors of wars on the earth.

So I just want to encourage you today.

First of all, you are safe in the Lord.

But the earth was filled with violence.

So God looked upon the earth.

Indeed, it was corrupt for all the flesh and corrupted their way on the earth.

And God said to Noah the end of all flesh has come before me.

The earth is filled with violence.

There's that word again Hamas through them and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.

Could be teak, could be cypress.

Make rooms in the ark.

Cover it inside and outside with pitch and the word pitch.

What is the Hebrew word for that?

Claire, you might be asking that what?

Go ahead?

I know, I know this is so neat.

It is a covering, it is an oily substance from the henna plant used for dyeing, but it's also the same word as redemption, or ransom, or satisfaction, the covering.

So again.

So here's Noah.

He built an ark and he covered it with atonement, he covered it with redemption.

And so when we build our ark so here's Miss Trenna's point in her book it's so awesome, that is what we do when we pray for our family or when we pray in general we can build an ark.

And she imagined every board of that gopher wood and she said it's like the promises of God.

I can dig into the promises of God and I can line upon line, preset upon preset.

I can build that ark and then I can seal out the destroying waters of judgment, I can seal my family and those I care about, I can seal myself in that ark and I can seal it with the blood of Jesus, pleading the blood of Jesus, and just as simple as saying that prayer.

And then, eventually, the revelation comes behind it, where you realize whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

There's a man.

An adult man might have 11 pints of blood in his body and in all of mankind, of everybody who's been created on the face of the earth.

There's not.

There's 11 of those pints of Jesus' blood Talk about rare and precious and that God himself would give his, would die and shed his own blood, and what a precious and how we can use that.

We have access to that blood and that that's the very blood that covers our sin.

In fact, it doesn't just cover it temporarily, it completely removes it, wipes it away so that it does not exist and the floodwaters cannot come in on us.

They cannot.

No destroying force can come in on us because we are covered with the blood of Jesus.

So we can apply that blood to us and to our family as they will accept it.

Hallelujah, so that was Noah.

He was a preacher of righteous.

You go back to Hebrews 11 and if you go down to verse 23,.

Now we're in Moses.

Listen to Moses' family and what Moses' family did by faith.

Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, who were his parents Later in Deuteronomy or later in Exodus.

It tells us the names of the sinners Amram.

I'm just showing off what are Moses' parents' names.

We ought to know them because they're important and I want to honor them.

It was Amram and Joshua bad.

I don't think I'm saying that right, but it looks like that Anyway.

And so they hid him for three months because they saw he was a beautiful child and they were not afraid of the king's command.

You know, there are governors today, rulers of this world, that would make commands that are anti-child, that are anti-family, that are evil in every way.

It is violence on the earth.

It is a force of the anti-Christ spirit, it is a form of judgment coming on the earth.

But we can say and draw a line around our kids and collectively, the kids of this church and your family.

You can draw this line of the blood of Jesus and say, no, I'm not afraid.

They hid him away for three months because they saw the plan of God on his life.

He was a beautiful child.

Was he good looking?

I don't know.

They saw the plan of God.

They looked at him and they saw hope and they said not my son, not my son.

And so, if you go to Exodus two, verse one, the man of the house of Levi, that's Amrim, went and took as a wife a daughter of Levi, and so the woman conceived Borsi.

When she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months.

But when she could no longer hide him, what did she do?

She took an ark.

She made her own little bitty ark just for her son, and she took it of bullrushes by the river, these reeds by the river, and she wove it and she dogged it with asphalt and pitch, she covered it, she built it and she covered it in prayer.

And we know what happened she put him in the water.

She knew she couldn't hide him forever.

She put him in the water and Pharaoh's daughter drew him out of the water and then she sent her daughter, miriam, to go spy on the side of the river.

What's gonna happen?

What's gonna happen?

And you know, joshabed got to nurse her own child, because the daughter of Pharaoh saw this child and he must have been a good looking child.

I can't let him die.

I will raise this child, but I need someone to nurse it.

Where can I find someone?

Oh, child, over there on the side of the river, where, and see, the plan of God came.

And so Joshabed got to nurse her own son.

She got to have it hand in raising him.

She got to put the promises of Abraham you know there was no mosaic law yet, because this is Moses.

What did she?

She did not even have the full word.

These people serve God with such faith and they only had this much of the word to stand on and they had zero Holy Spirit living on the inside of them like we have.

These people had faith in this much and we've got all of these promises and we've filled with the Holy Spirit.

We can be.

That's why Hebrews 15, I think it's a Romans 15, said that these, the Old Testament, is written for our admonition.

We can draw out of this and say, wow, what can we do?

I don't care what the Antichrist spirit said, I don't care what the World Economic Forum, whatever the plan is of the great reset, it cannot have jurisdiction over the people of God.

We are in the ark.

We're building our ark on the promises of God.

We're covering it with pitch and there will not be a man that will rule over us.

That is ungodly.

No, we are in a different kingdom.

Amen.

And so the plan of God came to be All right.

Now back to Hebrews 11, 31.

Now, by faith, the harlot Rahab, even a harlot.

She did not have a covenant with God.

She was outside the covenant of God and she lived in an enemy city of Jericho that just happened to have been marked for judgment.

Now, god is wonderful, he is just and fair.

He would not mark for judgment a city that was wonderful and upstanding, that was just and true and good, this city of Jericho.

The people of the cities of Canaan worshiped God's with child sacrifice.

Every kind of debauchery and hedonistic desire that we see breaking out on the earth today is what they had in Jericho and all throughout Canaan.

And so God was just.

When he gave the land to the Israelites, he had a plan.

He had promised it to Abraham.

It belonged to Him.

And so here's this Rahab the prophet I'm sorry, the harlot, not a prophet, she's a harlot, but in a way a harlot.

Back then that was a.

There were religious rituals involved, that sort of thing, not to be gross, but she was.

Today we don't respect harlots, but in that day she was a respected member of her community, because that's how perverse the society was.

That's why it was marked for judgment, but she did not perish with those who did not believe when she had received the spies with peace.

What's that story?

Well, in Joshua, chapter two, we see that Joshua, first of all Moses, has anointed him, he has laid his hands on him and now Joshua is the leader.

Moses has gone up to the mountain and died.

And now the kingdom of Israel, or the people of Israel that are not yet a kingdom, they are just slaves who have just left Egypt, and they've wandered in the desert for 40 years.

And now Joshua knows it's time for him to bring the Jews into the promised land, the land that their forefather, abraham, has been telling all of them about for their generations past.

And it's on him.

Talk about a weight he must have carried, but he wasn't feeling the weight of it.

You look at it.

He had faith in his God and in Joshua, chapter two, he sends spies in there.

He's had two guys that go in before he's go to Jericho and see what the land looks like and tell us what's going on in there.

And so when the spies get there, the king finds out.

The king of Jericho finds out about it and for some reason he thinks that Rahab might be involved.

So he comes and knocks on her door and he says give me those spies.

I heard there were spies in this land from.

They're gonna tell you everything.

They're gonna tell their people everything.

You better turn them over right now.

And she and this'll mess with your theology she lied, she lied, oh, I don't know, I guess they came by here, but they left and they went that way, you better go get them.

And she hid them on her roof under some flags or something.

And then she went and told them and she made a covenant with them and she said if you will save me and my household, my family, my family, my family, my family, I know, I know.

Let's go back to Joshua too.

This is worth reading.

Junerami, joshua, chapter two.

She told the spies I know that the Lord has given you this land, that the terror of you has fallen on us and that all the inhabitants of this land are faint hearted because of you.

For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea when you came out of Egypt.

That's been 40 years ago and they're still talking about it and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, sihon King and Ag, and you utterly destroyed them.

And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted.

Neither did there remain any more courage than anyone.

Because of you, I'm telling you, the left is shaking with fear right now.

The devil's kingdom is shaking with fear.

We will not be the ones who fear.

We will cause the other side to fear, amen.

And so their hearts melted and they did not remain any more courage in anyone.

Because of you, for the Lord, your God.

He is God in heaven, above and on earth beneath.

Talk about a believer, talk about a convert.

Now, therefore, I beg you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you your kindness, that you also will show me kindness to my Father's house, and give me a true token and spare my Father, my mother, my brothers, my sisters and all that they have all their stuff, and deliver our lives from death.

And so she made a covenant.

Give me a true token.

You know what the true token was?

A red cord that she tied in her window Again, the blood of Jesus, the blood of Jesus.

She pleaded the blood, the Passover blood.

Here was a lady that did not have a covenant with God, but she made a covenant with his people.

And now, all of a sudden, she had one.

And that not only so.

Four chapters later in Joshua 6, we see that they honored the soldiers when they marched around Jericho seven times and the walls fell down and then they rushed in to go take the land and they had to burn it down.

But they saved Rahab, her mom, her dad, all of their household and all of their stuff, and she dwelt with them from then on.

And do you know that you will see Rahab in the lineage of Jesus himself?

Don't tell me God is racist, or God is.

To all who call upon his name, he is faithful.

The promise is yet for all.

So Rahab, her son was Boaz.

Have you all read the book of Ruth?

It's a short read.

You ought to read it.

Rahab begat Boaz, who begat Salman, who begat Jesse getting warm.

Now aren't we who begat David, king of Israel?

God is so awesome.

He's got a plan for your family.

It doesn't matter what your background is, and that doesn't matter how many years the canker worm stole and the Palmer worm and that great army, which the pestilence that came and marched through your household.

Our prayers avail much and we are taking them back.

We are taking back our family.

We are bringing them into the ark.

We can't make decisions for them, but in our prayers we have the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of God.

He knows their heart, he knows what they need to hear as we pray.

I believe he will show us what part we have in their salvation.

But we're pleading the blood of Jesus over them and we are speaking the word, we are not speaking the circumstance.

Recently I was talking to someone about their child who did serve God at one time and has exhibited some troubling behavior of late and is an adult.

And it's so tempting to just say the situation.

And I think there were a lot of clinical terms, mental illness and these terms that you might hear in a psych ward that were kind of bandied about about this child and I thought, man, we got to change this whole narrative.

We've got to say that they're filled with the knowledge of his will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

They understand with all the sense that I'm flipping to Ephesians 3 now they understand with all the saints what is the length and width and depth and heights, and they know the love of Christ.

With the passage of knowledge they can understand that with all the saints.

If they know the love of God, they wouldn't have all these problems in their mind.

And so I'm going to change what I say about that person, when I think about that person, I'm not going to think about their behavior that is antisocial.

I'm going to say that they understand the love of Christ.

So by my words, and then I'm going to plead the blood of Jesus over that person.

In the New Testament, Claire, where's the New Testament in here?

In the New Testament there are Cornelius, acts 11.

Read it, read the story.

The angel came and he told us verse 13, how he had seen an angel standing in his house and said to him Send men to Joppa and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter, who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved, All your household.

He said that to Cornelius.

He didn't say that to me.

God is saying that to you.

You can claim, you can claim the Word of God when he lights it up on the inside of you.

It's for you.

The Philippian jailer Remember the Philippian jailer.

Remember Paul and Silas, who were beaten with many stripes and thrown into the inner prison.

Things might get bad, but I've never been in a Turkish prison, so that's good.

But they were literally in a Turkish prison at midnight and they prayed and sang praises to God.

They did not cry, they did not complain, they did not murmur against God.

Where is God in all of this?

I was here serving God.

God told me to come to Ephesus.

I saw a vision of a Macedonian man who told me to come.

In my dream I had this supernatural kindness.

Why am I having all of this problems here?

Why would I have?

No, they prayed and sang praises and then the earthquake came, broke open the jail.

This literally happened.

Y'all we read the Bible like it was some crazy fairy tale.

If that happened, then what is God doing now?

We talked about Reign, former and latter Reign.

The book of Acts talks about former Reign.

He tells us what Reign looks like.

The book of Acts is the former Reign.

It looked like a bunch of miracles, a bunch of people getting saved every single day, a bunch of crazy believers meeting everywhere they could, in people's houses and churches and all kinds of big meetings and small meetings, and they were all meeting together, but they had unity of the body.

And that's what Reign looked like.

And Reign, whether it's in the former or latter or whatever, it always looks the same it's Reign.

It's wet stuff that falls from the sky.

If that was what Reign looked like then.

That's what Reign is going to look like in the latter day, right before Jesus comes back.

I want to see miracles, I want to see signs of winners.

I want to see people getting saved every day, all right.

And so the Philippian jailer who was?

He?

Saw Paul Encilus.

He saw that some of the prisoners were getting away and he thought, oh no, the king is going to have my head, I'm going to beat him to it.

And he was going to commit suicide right then.

He just thought there was no reason to go on.

And Paul no, no, no, we'll come with you.

And so the Philippian jailer brought them home, treated their wounds and they said to him Acts 16, 31,.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you will be saved, you and your household.

These are the words of God.

Do they automatically come true because they were written?

What do we have to do when we see a promise of God?

We have to believe it, we have to speak it, we have to make it true, we have to hold the devil away from our stuff and our family, and we do that with the promises of God and the blood of Jesus.

Hebrews 10, 19,.

Therefore, brother, having boldness to enter the holiest of holies by the blood of Jesus.

Now we're talking about the temple.

I wish I had a little diagram up here.

But there is a special inner room of the temple that no one could go to.

No one was allowed to go, and if they did go they would have got zapped by the power of God, because no flesh can dwell in the presence of God back in the Old Testament, and so they had the Ark of the Covenant, which was the presence of God, and that was behind this six-inch thick veil and it was so holy and special and only one person could go in that place, and it was the high priest.

But Jesus made a way for you and me, regular people.

You're not allowed back there.

Yes, we are.

Yes, we are because Jesus deserved to go back there and he made a way for us to go back there through his blood, through the veil that is his flesh.

When he died, his flesh was ripped open with the cat of nine tails.

When he was striped and bruised for our iniquities, his flesh was ripped open with the crown of thorns and the flesh was ripped open by the nails in his hands and when he gave up his spirit, the veil of that temple that separated man and God was torn from top to bottom.

God himself tore that veil and said you can come in any time because there has been made a way for you by my blood.

So he made that way through the veil that is his flesh.

Having a high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience.

We don't have to have a guilty conscience.

If you have a guilty conscience, you can just believe this verse right here, say it over and over again, read it over and over again I am sprinkled from an evil conscience by the blood of Jesus.

I don't have to feel guilty about anything.

Anything that I have repented for, I can put it under the blood right now, and our bodies are washed with pure water.

So our tendencies, our fleshly tendencies, we can just continually wash them.

There's another verse that says talks about the washing of the water of the Word.

Every time I read the Bible, I am washing my body of its stupid tendencies that want to sin, hallelujah.

So let us hold fast our profession, our confession of hope, without wavering for he who promises faith.

Let's share one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some.

Good for y'all.

You all came on a Sunday night.

You obeyed Hebrews 10, 25.

Good for you.

Good for you, not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some, but exhorting one another so much more.

As you say, the day approaching, when we hear the thunder, when we hear the flood waters coming down and they might be rising up around the ark, that's the time to go to church more.

That's the time to spend more time around believers.

That is the time to be more zealous for God.

And so I just now I know I've been 30 minutes, 30 minutes, but I'm five more minutes.

Everything old is new again, and we had that word from the Lord through our pastor.

Everything old is new again.

The things that I have receded are coming back.

Isaiah 60,.

Turn with me because I don't know it by heart.

Okay, arise, shine for your lightest kind of glory.

The Lord has risen upon you.

Behold, darkness shall cover the earth.

Does that sound familiar?

Deep darkness, the people.

The Lord will arise over you and his glory will be seen upon you and the Gentiles will come into your light, kings, to the brightness of your rising.

Skipping to verse five, then you shall see and become radiant and your heart will swell with joy.

Where'd it go, your sons?

In verse four it says you'll see and flow together.

Where is that?

Somewhere in this passage.

You'll see and flow together.

Okay, well, it's there.

Y'all have to believe me, you'll find in a minute.

It was a download, but I just believe that the latter reign is bringing the unity of the Spirit and the bonds of peace back to the body of Christ, back to the church, not just this church, I'm talking about the church at large.

Division division is sown by the devil, division is sown by the pride of man.

When you will go all the way back to Babel.

In Genesis, the tower of Babel, man had pride.

He built a tower.

He built that tower and he said if we are united with each other, we'll be like God.

We'll make a tower all the way to the heavens.

We won't need God anymore.

We'll be our own God, babel.

And so God had to say no, no, no, no, no.

I can't let that happen.

I can't let man rebel to that degree.

I've got to divide them.

I've got to.

I've got to bring their languages, I've got to separate that.

And so there was division.

And then Jesus came.

He came to unify, he gave us something to rally around.

And then Pentecost came and it was the unbabel.

It came where now people from different languages were speaking in the Holy Spirit, a divine language from God, and now they could have unity of speech again.

Except for our mind can't understand it, and it's the unbabel.

We can pray and we can get things from God together and corporately.

We can pray in the mind of the Spirit.

It's the perfect will of God, and now we can have unity again.

So that's awesome.

So Pentecost birthed this one church.

There were many locations of the church, but it was one body of Christ.

All right, and then all the way until the Protestant Reformation.

But the body of Christ was corrupt.

The Dark Ages came, remember, the priests of the Catholic Church made it so.

They shut up the Bible in a dark crypt somewhere and only the special scribes could read it and not the common man.

And it was the Dark Ages, because there was no knowledge or light of God among the people and only the priests would do it.

And then they used Latin to speak it to the people.

And then that continued.

Even into the 1960s, the Catholic Church was still doing mass in Latin, where people and it was a defunct language you could go to church, but you couldn't understand what they were saying.

Domino's, fubiscum, where?

What Division.

And then when the Reformation came, that was 501 years ago, last Halloween, 501 year, october 31st I don't celebrate Halloween I'm like, yeah, it was a Reformation.

Way to go, martin Luther.

But when he did that, when he said the church of this Catholic Church is corrupt, and I can't stand it anymore, I'm not going to be a part of this anymore.

I was a priest, but I cannot go along with this corruption of selling indulgences.

The priests are not whole, there's just, there's a mess.

And you guys are, you're making up doctrine that doesn't exist in the Word, and I can't be a part of it and I'm going to nail my grievances to the door.

And that was.

And that brought division.

Because now and wonderful though, because we're all free to interpret the Word and we have many, many different churches you can draw.

How many of you drive?

Can you imagine how many churches you drive past on the way to this church.

Think about them.

Everyone's a different church.

They have different beliefs and some of them are good and we believe what they do mostly, but there's differences.

You know what unifies people?

The Holy Spirit.

You guys aren't something, either a Jew, nor Greek, nor slave, or free or barbarian.

Y'all can act however you want.

No, the Holy Spirit, and I believe rain is rain.

When rain comes, we're going to all be.

There was one church and there's going to be one church.

No, not under one pastor or one church leader.

It's going to be a divinely Holy Spirit inspired church where people are so in tune with what the Spirit wants, when they are so in love with Jesus, when they're so one in the body of Christ, that our churches are going to start looking like each other.

We're going to start worshiping more in the same way.

It's going to be awesome.

I believe that's what the last days is bringing about.

So don't be ashamed of the move of the Holy Spirit.

Do not be ashamed of the joy that you have in God.

Don't be ashamed to speak His word, even to the sweet denominational people, and you think oh, baby, you have this false humility about it that you don't want to, oh, I don't want to make them feel bad that I have it so much better than they do.

I don't know, I don't know.

Let your light shine, let your light shine.

People are hungry.

The hot, dry wind is coming.

They are crawling.

They want the real truth, they want the word of God, they want the joy of the Holy Ghost, they want the work.

Really, what I'm saying?

All of this?

The ark is the word and the Spirit.

It's just the two things together.

If we have one without the other, if we have the letter, killeth, bible says, but the Spirit gives life.

A lot of people have a lot of letters and they can tell you every Bible story and it's awesome.

There's Bible, bible, bible, bible, bible, bible, bible, bible, but there's no living Holy Spirit to liven it and to bring it to you where you can use it.

And then some people have all Spirit and they have praise dancers and flags and they have oh, and they're so exuberant, but there's no.

But the minute something bad happens, they have no word to stand on.

There is no substance to that.

And we have to have both in our ark.

We're building an ark.
