  1. Lift our Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

  2. Father, we thank you.

  3. Let's say this together Heavenly Father, we thank you for another opportunity to be in your presence.

  4. Lord, we know the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are working together in our lives to bring us into places we've never been.

  5. Lord, you're lifting us up into another room, into another realm that we've never been in, and you're preparing us for the very end of times.

  6. In Jesus' name, I really can't get away from it, folks.

  7. I mean, he is coming and I want to be found faithful to doing what he said to do.

  8. Let's look at James, chapter 1 tonight.

    James 1 chapter mention

  9. And you're going to have to eat kind of fast.

  10. This is meat, so you have to chew fast.

  11. James 1, verse 17.

    James 1:17

  12. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights, in whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

  13. Wherefore, my beloved brethren See wherefore, why?

  14. Because that's true.

  15. Wherefore my beloved brethren say wherefore, why?

  16. Because that's true.

  17. Wherefore, my beloved brother brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath, for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

  18. Wherefore, lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness and receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your souls.

  19. But be you doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves.

  20. For if a hearer of the word, if any man, be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass or in a mirror, for he beholdeth himself and goeth his.

  21. Let me read to you out of the NLT the verse 21 and 22.

  22. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives and humbly accept the word of God has planted, has been planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

  23. But don't just listen to God's word.

  24. You must do what it says, otherwise you're only fooling yourselves.

  25. So tonight, just a message entitled saving your soul.

  26. Now, james is the Lord's brother.

  27. He was uh, he was not an early adopter of Jesus.

  28. He denied Jesus.

  29. He didn't at first.

  30. You know, he was one of the family, including Mary.

  31. They all came.

  32. You know they thought Jesus had lost his mind when he said unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

  33. Even his mother didn't believe that.

  34. They came knocking on the door and said you know, we've come to get you to the rubber room.

  35. We're going to give you the people with the white coats.

  36. Philip came to Jesus.

  37. Hey Jesus, your brethren, your mother and your brethren are out there.

  38. Hey, look around the room.

  39. This group right here, this is my mother, this is my brethren.

  40. Those are here to hear the word of God and do it.

  41. He wouldn't have anything to do with his family there for a while until they turned around.

  42. But how many of you know James finally got the picture.

  43. James was actually the head of the church in Jerusalem, not Peter.

  44. I mean, if you wanted to call him a Pope, I mean it's kind of silly.

  45. Not a Pope.

  46. There's no Pope.

  47. That's just a fake, that's a man's invention.

  48. But James was the head of the church in Jerusalem.

  49. And James here writing to the church, not sinners, and he's talking to them about their souls becoming saved.

  50. And I mean what in the world?

  51. See, we've got to get a hold of this right now, because God wants to do a complete work in the church, and the longer this train goes down the tracks, the more people we have with Swiss cheese for souls.

  52. They're coming in the church and getting saved.

  53. They're spirits, see, you're begotten by the word of truth.

  54. Your spirit gets born again, but you have the same soul, you have the same flesh that you had when you were lost.

  55. And yet James is encouraging the saints to embrace the saving of their souls.

  56. The same word that got you saved can save your soul and needs to save your soul by the what?

  57. The word of truth.

  58. So don't just stop with a new birth, don't just stop there.

  59. Oh, I'm saved, woo.

  60. No, don't stop there.

  61. Let's go ahead, do the whole thing.

  62. Let's get our souls saved.

  63. Our souls need to be saved.

  64. The word saved there means healed, delivered, protected, made whole.

  65. Some of you are looking at me kind of what in the world Is he going to do some psychology?

  66. No, it's not psychology.

  67. It has nothing to do with psychology, because the cure is not psychology.

  68. The cure is the Word of God.

  69. The cure is being able to apply the Word of God, rightly, divide the Word of truth and apply it to the things that are wrong right up here between these ears.

  70. There's stuff up there that's wrong.

  71. As I said, the longer this train goes down the track we're getting people saved and brought into the church who are broken.

  72. We have them right here in this church.

  73. I've dealt with it for ever since I've been in the ministry.

  74. I have a lot of experience dealing with people with broken souls and they don't know how to fix themselves.

  75. And you know counseling.

  76. I think counseling can can help, but it can't really do what I'm talking about tonight.

  77. It can point out some things.

  78. You give you some practical tools.

  79. Sometimes I'll refer people to count.

  80. I'm not a counselor, but I refer people to Christian counselors.

  81. The problem with Christian counseling is a lot of them aren't Word of Faith, so they don't really give you the right tools.

  82. But the real tool is the Word of God.

  83. So there are millions of believers born again who die and go to heaven, but they never really got their soul saved and that means they lived in a place lower than what God had for them.

  84. They had a lower level of peace.

  85. They had a lower level of the ability to have relationships.

  86. They had a lower level of the ability really to embrace everything that Jesus bought and paid for.

  87. It all gets back to his blood.

  88. I mean his blood purchased.

  89. A complete, whole person spirit, soul and body.

  90. That's what we are.

  91. When I learned that back 40 years ago I'm a spirit, everybody say I'm a spirit.

  92. And with the spirit, so go ahead and say it.

  93. With my spirit I contact the spirit realm.

  94. But 1 Thessalonians 5 said I pray, your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless until the coming of the Lord.

  95. So we're spirit beings, we have a soul.

  96. What is the soul?

  97. Well, it's our mind, our will, our intellect.

  98. That's the soul.

  99. See, I thought soul and spirit are the same.

  100. We still talk about saving the soul.

  101. That song, the soul.

  102. See, I thought soul and spirit are the same.

  103. We still talk about saving the soul.

  104. That song we just sang we're going to wash all the sin from your soul.

  105. Well, no, the sin doesn't register on the soul.

  106. It affects the soul.

  107. But the sin can affect your spirit, affect your right, affect your fellowship.

  108. It can affect your fellowship.

  109. So the nuns taught me about soul.

  110. They didn't talk about spirit, they talked about my soul being darkened by sin.

  111. They draw a circle on the blackboard and they say a mortal sin is like this and shade it all in.

  112. If you got a mortal sin and die, you're going to hell.

  113. If you miss mass on Sunday and die, you're going to hell.

  114. Well, you know, they don't know any more than what they've been taught.

  115. That's what I was taught, thank me, when I found out that I'm a spirit and that my soul is separate Amen it transformed my whole thinking.

  116. Of course, I had to get saved first.

  117. You know, I wasn't saved when I was in grade school.

  118. I was religious but I wasn't saved.

  119. So with my spirit, let's say it again, with my spirit I contact the spirit realm.

  120. With my body, I contact the spirit realm.

  121. With my body I contact the physical realm, and with my soul I contact the intellectual and emotional realm.

  122. So you can see, then, the intellectual and emotional realm.

  123. If your soul is unsaved, then you're going to lapse over your old life.

  124. What you used to have when you were lost is going to flop over into your Christian life and it just doesn't line up.

  125. It doesn't line up.

  126. But the Bible says that we, god saves our spirit.

  127. That's what we got when we got saved.

  128. But then, but the Word tells us, let's look at Romans, chapter 12.

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  129. The Bible tells us let's look at Romans, chapter 12.

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  130. The Bible tells us that we've got to do something with our bodies and with our minds.

  131. We have to do it.

  132. God's not going to do it.

  133. We have to do it, we have to undertake action.

  134. Romans, chapter 12, verse one.

    Romans 12 chapter mention

  135. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable.

  136. So when you get saved, your body isn't saved.

  137. Your body is the same body it was when it was lost.

  138. If your body, see, your body has got desires in it, it's got things, it's got appetites in it, just because you get saved doesn't mean your body changes.

  139. Your body is the same body.

  140. If your body loved to get drunk on wine or alcohol or booze or beer or whatever, your body's going to want that and your mind, which is going to cooperate with it, because your mind kind of likes it too, because your mind wants to be relieved of the stress and pressure, and alcohol or drugs can do that and kind of make you ignore the pain in your life and so forth and so on.

  141. I was one who used to make my own beer.

  142. I had plenty of pain in my life that I was trying to escape and Bud Light didn't do the job.

  143. So, griner, heavy, 14% by volume, one of my beers was worth I don't know probably half a dozen Bud Lights and about three of the regular Buds.

  144. If I drank three of my own beers that I bottled myself at home and made myself at home, man, I was on my way, baby, I didn't have any care at all.

  145. So I know what I'm talking about.

  146. Amen, he says you've got to do something with your body.

  147. What do you do?

  148. You present it.

  149. Romans 8, 13 says you know, mortify the deeds of your body, put them to death.

  150. You don't let your body do what it used to do.

  151. You used to go to the bar and sit on the bar stool, or you used to go and find them weed, or you used to go find something heavier, or you used to have a drug deal.

  152. I had a guy that came to our church on the seventh day and he was a, a coke addict, and he was just as saved as he could be.

  153. He loved Jesus, but he was addicted to cocaine.

  154. Cocaine addicted, badly addicted.

  155. And when he came in the door he says oh, I'm free, I haven't had a, I haven't had a hit in a week.

  156. And I said you've been addicted to cocaine.

  157. Yeah, I said well, you know I, how long you been taking cocaine?

  158. Well, it, it was a long time.

  159. I could tell by looking at him he was, you know, really emaciated and malnourished and he looked like a coke addict.

  160. And so I tried to talk to him.

  161. I said, look, you know I agree with you, but you know you ought to do something else besides just say that you're free.

  162. You probably need some intervention.

  163. You need somebody to kind of well, you know he refused and he came.

  164. He came, you know, and about a month later he disappeared.

  165. Now, you know he refused and he came.

  166. He came, you know, and, and about a month later he disappeared.

  167. Where are you?

  168. I tried calling him.

  169. I couldn't get him on the phone.

  170. Finally shows back up.

  171. Now I fell off the wagon.

  172. I feel so bad, but I'm, I'm free again.

  173. I said no, you're not free.

  174. You're not ever going to be free.

  175. You're going to have to have intervention.

  176. You need to go into a medical treatment facility.

  177. I don't have any insurance.

  178. I said they've got.

  179. They've got places that'll do this for you.

  180. There's places in Harris County that will take care of you, that the church has got part of it.

  181. I said you know, you're just, you're going to have to, you're going to have to give this up and you're going to have to have some supervision.

  182. While you come off of this, your body and your mind are addicted, don't you understand?

  183. That's a chemical and you know, I've seen people get supernaturally delivered, but most people don't.

  184. Most people have to have help, and you're one of them.

  185. And I said while we're talking.

  186. I said you still got this cell phone that you contact your drug dealers with.

  187. Yeah?

  188. I said, well, you need to throw it away.

  189. I can't do that.

  190. I all my customer.

  191. He was a paper hanger.

  192. He hung wallpaper for a living.

  193. I can't do that.

  194. All my customers.

  195. He was a paper hanger, he hung wallpaper for a living.

  196. I can't do that.

  197. All my customers.

  198. They won't know how to get a hold of me.

  199. I said they won't need to get a hold of you because you'll be dead.

  200. I said, look, I'm giving you the best I can.

  201. I'm a pastor and I'm telling you you need help and you need to do your part.

  202. But he never died, for he went to a deal and he rebelled.

  203. He didn't like them, telling him what to do.

  204. You know, he was just a typical drug addict.

  205. See, I've I've lived a real life.

  206. I've been around real people.

  207. I wasn't sheltered in the convent, I wasn't sheltered in the seminary cemetery.

  208. I mean, I've lived around people that are addicted.

  209. I've lived around people that have major problems in their soul.

  210. Getting back to the soul the soul is where you vote.

  211. You're a three-part being.

  212. Your spirit wants to serve God.

  213. Your flesh wants to do what it used to do.

  214. How are you going to determine what to do then?

  215. Well, your soul, your mind, is what's going to vote?

  216. And if you've got messed up, unsaved soul, your soul is going to vote with your flesh and somehow give you a justification for doing what you've always done when you were lost.

  217. I've been seeing this a long time and I'm saying tonight you know, this morning we prophesied this, because God woke me up Wednesday night, wednesday morning, rather 2.30 in the morning, and he let me know we've entered into a new room of healing and deliverance.

  218. We've come up into a place of supernatural power.

  219. Now and see this, this thing about your soul, it can't be really counseled out.

  220. I mean, I believe in certain amounts of counseling, but the Holy Ghost is the counselor, the Holy and the word of truth.

  221. See, because deception, see, the deception will come into your mind when you've been, when you've had all these things happen to you that come into your soul, that happened to do with your soul.

  222. So what does he say about your flesh?

  223. You're supposed to present it, you're supposed to crucify the deeds of the body.

  224. Colossians three says get rid of sinful habits.

  225. We just read that here in James, chapter 1.

    James 1 chapter mention

  226. Get rid of it.

  227. Don't give yourself permission to keep doing it.

  228. Get rid of it.

  229. You see it in the Bible, you know it's wrong, you don't do it anymore.

  230. So then, what do you have to do?

  231. Well, you've got to work on your soul, because your soul is going to figure out a way to give you permission until you renew your mind and this is the second verse 2, romans 12, 2, and be not conformed to this world or this world's way of thinking, or your former way of thinking when you were lost.

  232. Be not conformed to that, but be transformed by the renewing or the refreshing of your mind, reprogramming your mind so that you may prove what is the good, acceptable, perfect will of God.

  233. Ephesians 4, 23 says be renewed in the spirit of your mind so that you may prove what is the good, acceptable, perfect will of God.

  234. Ephesians 4.23 says be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

  235. You know, the minding of the spirit is life and peace.

  236. The minding of the flesh, see, that's where the curses come from, that's where the misery comes from the minding, or being flesh minded.

  237. See, that's what it's all about.

  238. Your saving of your soul is about getting it moved out of the flesh mind into the spirit mind, and that's what's called the saving of the soul.

  239. The saving you're saving, the salvation that you experienced, was an instant of time.

  240. In an instant of time you were born again.

  241. You pass from death into life, from darkness, you know, into light in an instant.

  242. But your saving of your soul is a process.

  243. It's something you have to work on and you have to keep working on it.

  244. You have to be disciplined, you have to arrest certain things that attack your mind, otherwise, you know, you slip back and your soul isn't really saved.

  245. Let's look at James, chapter 1 again.

    James 1 chapter mention

  246. I want to notice something here, and we're going to give the Holy Ghost a chance to move here tonight.

  247. Verse 9, james 1, 9,.

  248. Let the brother of low degree.

  249. Rejoice in that he is exalted.

  250. The brother of low degree, what in exactly?

  251. But the rich?

  252. In that he is made low.

  253. But the rich rejoice.

  254. Let the rich man rejoice in that he is made low, because as the flower of the grass, he shall pass away.

  255. See, for as the sun is no sooner risen with the burning heat, but it withers the grass and the flower thereof falleth and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth, so shall also the rich man fade away in his ways.

  256. What in the world is that talking about?

  257. Why should the rich man rejoice?

  258. Well, the rich man is poor, doesn't have anything.

  259. But when he gets saved he enters into the kingdom of God, and God can show that poor man a better way.

  260. The good news to the poor is you don't have to be poor, no more.

  261. And it doesn't matter what your education is, it doesn't matter much of anything.

  262. If you learn how to do business God's way, you can prosper.

  263. But the rich man?

  264. Let the rich man rejoice in that what he's made low.

  265. Now, what is that talking about?

  266. It means that the rich man's soul has got to change.

  267. His way of thinking is the way he got his riches is no longer valid.

  268. The way that he operated when he was lost is not going to work anymore.

  269. And you better teach rich people that they can't get by with what they've always done.

  270. They're going to have to change.

  271. They're going to have to get get to doing business God's way.

  272. And so then you can let the rich man rejoice because what he's humbled himself, he's made low and he can say to God you know, god, I've made my riches a certain way, but I'm starting at ground zero.

  273. I'm a brand new baby Christian.

  274. I'm open to doing everything differently Now.

  275. I'm going to.

  276. I'm not going to mistreat my employees.

  277. I'm not going to cheat my customers.

  278. I'm not going to cheat.

  279. I'm not going to steal.

  280. I'm not going to, you know, be a robber and a raider.

  281. I'm going to, you know, I mean that's, you know that's humility.

  282. Does anybody remember Gordie Howe?

  283. Gordie Howe is a is a hockey player.

  284. He's a hall of famer.

  285. And guess what?

  286. He played for the Houston arrows.

  287. Houston had a hockey team.

  288. I don't know why, but anyway they did.

  289. And Gordy was on the hockey team and he's a Hall of Famer.

  290. And the guy that owned the Houston Arrows I know he's a rich guy, or was.

  291. And then he got saved and he became very poor.

  292. He lost everything.

  293. I mean, the Houston Arrows went bust everything.

  294. He got saved and he went bust.

  295. See, he's an example.

  296. Right, I'm not going to say his name, but he's an example of a guy that didn't get his mind renewed to God's way of doing business and the devil was able to take him out Somehow.

  297. He landed in a church that didn't teach him the right things and I've seen this over the years.

  298. I've, you know, I've just seen people that just want to do business the way that they do.

  299. And hey, we got to humble ourselves, we got to learn how to do business God's way.

  300. All right, so save your soul.

  301. I'm going to talk about it Three things Save your soul.

  302. How many of you are interested in saving your soul?

  303. And see, saving your soul is what a process.

  304. Saving your soul is a matter of degree.

  305. You can get more free and you can get more free and you can get more free.

  306. You know you never arrive.

  307. It's not the same as your spirit.

  308. Your spirit is born again.

  309. Now your spirit can grow.

  310. So, really, the things that we're going to do to save our soul is going to help our spirit.

  311. It's going to help develop our spirit.

  312. Your spirit can grow.

  313. Your spirit can grow in strength.

  314. All right, so, number one, to save your soul, put the word first place.

  315. Over TV movies, secular reading hobbies.

  316. You determine that the word comes first, no matter what the word comes first.

  317. Have you read this book?

  318. No, I don't usually read books.

  319. You mean you don't read books?

  320. I hardly ever do.

  321. I mean I might read one of brother Mark's ever great ones, so I don't really read all his books.

  322. I hardly ever do.

  323. I mean I might read one of brother Mark's ever great ones, so I don't read all his books.

  324. He's got so many books I can't read them all.

  325. I read this.

  326. This is what I feed on.

  327. I love brother Mark.

  328. I love all the people that write books.

  329. I'm not against them.

  330. But look for me, I got to read this right here.

  331. This is what I give myself to.

  332. This is the word, the word of God.

  333. Jesus said in John six, 63, the words that I speak to you, the Rhema words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life.

  334. Matthew four four.

  335. Jesus said man does not live by bread alone, but by every Rhema of God does man live.

  336. Rhema is God-breathed.

  337. You're not going to get the rhema reading books.

  338. You're not going to get a rhema watching television.

  339. Listen, I like sports.

  340. I watch some sports.

  341. I watch some, but not at the expense of the Word.

  342. The Word comes first, the Word's always first, and somehow I get so busy on a particular day and I don't get all my reading in.

  343. Well, I'll make it up the next day.

  344. I mean, you know, you can get so busy that you put the wrong things first.

  345. You're going to slip in your soul area, because your soul needs to be saved.

  346. You're already saved, but now your soul.

  347. So, number two bring every thought captive.

  348. Second, corinthians 10,.

  349. Let's look at it.

  350. I'm going to try to run through this.

  351. We've preached this before, but I want to get to the Holy Ghost.

  352. Part 2, corinthians 10, 4, for the weapons of our warfare.

  353. The word warfare means apostolic lifestyle.

  354. This is an apostolic vine with a prophetic flow of this church that you're in.

  355. Everything we do is apostolic.

  356. This capital worship is apostolic vine, with a prophetic flow of this church that you're in.

  357. Everything we do is apostolic.

  358. This capital worship is apostolic.

  359. Waking up the church is apostolic.

  360. I mean the church itself is apostolic.

  361. He said go into all the world, preach the gospel to every creature.

  362. It's apostolic we're sent For.

  363. The weapons of our apostolic lifestyle are not carnal, but they're mighty, through God, to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity, into the obedience of Christ.

  364. So what you see, there is a reverse order.

  365. First it starts with a thought.

  366. The devil will throw a thought at your mind and quit owning every thought that comes across your mind, because most of the time the thought doesn't come from you.

  367. Who are you?

  368. You're our spirit.

  369. So the thought didn't come.

  370. The negative thought didn't come from you, because you're a born again spirit.

  371. You love God.

  372. Your spirit is not producing negative thoughts.

  373. Where do they come from?

  374. The devil, the little demon powers, throw things at your mind.

  375. Quit owning those thoughts.

  376. Quit saying that's my thought, it's not your thought.

  377. And when you see that thought come in.

  378. If you've read your Bible like you should, you will know I'm not thinking that thought.

  379. That thought didn't come from me.

  380. I confront that thought.

  381. I say no to that thought.

  382. It's not coming in.

  383. It's not coming in, it's not going to stay there.

  384. You know you might not be able to keep from a bird flying over your head, but you can keep it from building a nest in your hair, right?

  385. I mean, once it starts bringing twigs and, you know, starts making a big.

  386. I've seen women with you know it looked like the bird nest up there.

  387. They should have said boo or something, or shoo, bring every thought captive.

  388. Quit owning every thought on your own.

  389. Confront and refute every thought.

  390. That is against the word, because if the thought is not refuted, it stays there long enough to become an imagination.

  391. And now the thought is an imagination.

  392. And now you?

  393. You know you're going to have a little more trouble getting rid of the imagination.

  394. And then, if you don't do anything with it, fat point.

  395. See, you've got weapons that are supernatural.

  396. What are the weapons?

  397. The name of Jesus, the Holy ghost, the word of God.

  398. You don't have to put up with it.

  399. You don't have to put up with it.

  400. Somebody said oh, I'm suicidal, oh, you're not suicidal.

  401. The devil said you know, drive off the bridge, or whatever.

  402. He said, shoot yourself, tell him to go, shoot himself.

  403. That's not your thought, you're not suicidal, he's suicidal, he's just trying to throw that.

  404. And that's not the devil, it's just some little demon Quit making everything about, quit owning, quit owning it.

  405. Are you with me now?

  406. So the thought becomes an imagination, the imagination becomes a stronghold.

  407. Let me just make this statement Revelation is the basis upon which the Holy Ghost can manifest.

  408. I'm going to say it again Revelation, revelation, knowledge of the Word, when God unveils Hisself, when God speaks a rhema word to you, when you read your Bible and all of a sudden you know that Word came to you, that's revelation.

  409. That is the basis upon which miracles occur.

  410. That's the basis upon which the Holy Ghost can manifest.

  411. Are you with me now?

  412. And strongholds are the basis upon which demon powers can manifest.

  413. When you allow a stronghold in your soul, you have just opened the door for Satan or demons to manifest in your mind.

  414. Now you've got bondage and there's plenty of Christian people that love God and they don't know what's wrong, but they've got these demonic powers that they've unwittingly let in.

  415. They don't know what I'm teaching tonight, because it's not taught very much.

  416. So strongholds are the basis upon which demonic powers can manifest in your mind.

  417. All right, number three.

  418. So we got put the word first place.

  419. You got to have the word, word of truth.

  420. The word is your mirror.

  421. The word is what you look into and you're looking at yourself and you're supposed to see yourself in that.

  422. So you got to have that.

  423. And then number two you've got to bring every thought and see.

  424. That takes discipline because the thoughts, man, they're running rampant.

  425. You're running around the world full of all kind of bad thoughts and they're trying to get in your brain.

  426. So you're going to have to spend some time.

  427. No, no, no, I'm not thinking that, that's not my thought.

  428. I reject that Number.

  429. I reject that Number.

  430. Three renounce and break any ungodly soul ties.

  431. What in the world Soul tie?

  432. What is a soul tie?

  433. Well, we're fearfully and wonderfully made and God created our bodies and our minds and our spirit to have a family.

  434. Soul ties are necessary for a good, solid family.

  435. I mean a father and a mother that have a child there produces a, not just a spiritual thing, not just a blood thing, a DNA thing.

  436. We know about DNA.

  437. You know if you ever go to the doctor they're going to ask you your medical history, if your mother or your father died of cancer.

  438. Has your mother or father ever had you know this or had that?

  439. And they're going to get a very.

  440. You know if you, the more serious checkup you've got, they're going to go a very.

  441. You know the more serious checkup you've got they're going to go and really delve into your and.

  442. So what are they trying to find out about your DNA?

  443. They're trying to find out what tendencies that you have from your family history.

  444. Well, that's the physical side, but you know there is a mental side.

  445. It's called soul ties.

  446. It's talking about a connection between father and daughter, father and son, mother and daughter, mother and son, brother and sister.

  447. Family unit.

  448. God is creating the family unit.

  449. We're going to preach on marriage and family coming up Wednesday, starting Wednesday, and we're going to open the church on Wednesday night and have a chance for y'all to come back to the church, just for Wednesday night.

  450. We hope you'll show up because everybody here is a candidate and so I'm kind of getting ahead of myself a little bit, but we're teaching on that.

  451. That's part of the family.

  452. Without those soul ties that God created in healthy ways, you wouldn't have a family bond.

  453. You wouldn't feel like you're part of a family.

  454. So now you know why the devil hates the family.

  455. What's he going to do?

  456. He's going to come in here and he's going to damage this.

  457. He's going to pervert the soul ties and get you where you have unhealthy ones.

  458. For instance, you know, abusive father, abusive mother, drug addicted parents.

  459. We've got children in this church who who's?

  460. Their parents, you know, are not in their lives.

  461. They're being raised by their grandparents.

  462. Why?

  463. Because they're.

  464. They're all messed up because, you know, the parents just fell apart.

  465. You know they're going to need a lot of ministry.

  466. We're going to have to help them, their little souls, as they grow up.

  467. They're going to have to, they're going to have to be bathed and they're going to have to be nurtured and they're going to have to be encouraged.

  468. You know, to get free of all of these ties that are negative.

  469. A soul tie is connected to your soul from one soul, my soul.

  470. See, I've got my soul, I'm saved, but my soul I've got a tie to an unhealthy relationship.

  471. That I'm not, it's not my fault.

  472. I didn't ask for to be born, I didn't choose my parents, but there's abuse, there's abuse and that soul tie is got.

  473. It's like a pipeline that demons can travel up and down and manifest in your soul.

  474. It's like a stronghold, similar.

  475. It establishes a stronghold, and and so the thing about it is you don't even know, you don't even have a memory of some of it.

  476. Some of it is just it's buried in there.

  477. You don't even have any idea.

  478. You just know that you grew up and had a tough time.

  479. A lot of people have had a tough time.

  480. A lot of people have grown up in their houses and had a tough time.

  481. And just because you get saved doesn't mean all that goes away.

  482. It means that you're going to have to renew your mind to the Word of God and let it think godly thoughts.

  483. And now you're going to have to search and destroy.

  484. You're going to have to search and destroy and you're going to have to say no to those soul ties.

  485. You're going to have to say, well, no, no, I don't need that soul tie.

  486. I'm not going to be bonded to that alcoholic parent.

  487. I'm not going to be bonded to that ex-husband who abused me.

  488. I'm not going to be bonded to that brother or my sister that gave me all that I'm not.

  489. Hey, listen, I'm in the family of God.

  490. See, the family of God is superseding all of that other stuff.

  491. It's not that in its pure form it's good, but in its perverted form, which is what it is today.

  492. This is.

  493. We've gone down the track so far.

  494. Now We've got families that are so fouled up, the broken homes.

  495. You've got people that are living together, having families that don't even don't even have, they're not even married, and they're, and these kids are getting saved, they're coming in here, but they're got souls that have to be saved.

  496. I hope this is helping somebody.

  497. I had a preacher one time who just wanted to preach on generational curses.

  498. I reject generational curses because it's just like dealing with a symptom.

  499. You're not dealing with the reason why you have a generation, a generational curse.

  500. It's not because of the generational curse, it's because of the soul tie.

  501. The soul, the curse is proof that there's a soul tie that needs to be severed.

  502. I had a friend and a known her since you know Gladys and I had known her for, you know, grew up with them and kind of close to my family, in-laws and stuff, and she had had an abusive marriage and went and knew all about it.

  503. I knew her husband.

  504. He was a jerk, always was a jerk.

  505. He was a jerk when he was a teenager and he was a jerk when he got married to her and he abused her and they finally got a divorce after many years.

  506. He choked her one time.

  507. She finally got enough of the and thank God it was not any worse.

  508. And then she met somebody and and she was just you know, going to get remarried.

  509. He had his wife had died of cancer.

  510. So now they're going to get married at middle age.

  511. And I just put it out to her sister that I knew.

  512. I said, look, you know, I'm open to helping her.

  513. I said she's going to bring all that into her new marriage.

  514. It's not going to go well.

  515. She needs healing in her soul.

  516. Her soul has got soul ties that need to be broken.

  517. And I knew that she wasn't going to a church like this.

  518. I knew she was saved and in fact I was the one that you know got her saved and filled with the Holy Ghost years back.

  519. And so I just, I just I don't usually do that to people that don't come to the church, but there was a connection.

  520. So then she, she came and, uh, you know we went through something that we're going to do here tonight, right up here at this altar.

  521. This altar is 20 years of miracles, 20 years We've been here, 20 years Last month, 20-year anniversary of being in this building, I got to thinking about this altar and all the miracles that have happened, all the deliverance, all the healing, all the people that have gotten saved, all the people that have come back to the Lord.

  522. I mean this place is amazing.

  523. And and saved all the people that have come back to the Lord.

  524. I mean this place is amazing and we're going to get some work done tonight by the Holy ghost.

  525. We're going to break some soul ties.

  526. I'm going to show you how to do it so you can keep on doing it, because we can't do it all tonight.

  527. Some of you got so many holes.

  528. You just, you know you look like a sponge, so we can't deal with all of it, but we can deal with some of it.

  529. I can show you how.

  530. So I got her in my office and her, you know, and the sister and, and you know, we just went through it and we just went through this, this deliverance and this rejection and this breaking, and no, she was, she was happily married, never had any issues.

  531. They were just happy as they could be very compatible.

  532. See, that's what happens when you go from one marriage to the next.

  533. You're bringing all that baggage and if you don't know how to deal with the baggage you're going to have it, it's going to affect you.

  534. I heard Fred Price years ago Frederick KC Price, dr Price Big old church, 10,000 seats in California on television.

  535. I'd listen to him Sunday nights before I'd come to church.

  536. Gladys, and I'd be listening, just laughing because he's such a.

  537. He was funny, but he was a really good word of faith preacher and he was preaching on soul ties.

  538. One time I had a whole series of tapes on him when I first heard the teaching and he was talking about how, you know, as a young man he had lots of girlfriends, he wasn't saved, he just lived a wild life.

  539. He had lots of girlfriends and then he met his wife and they got married and then they got saved, you know, and serving God, you know, and everything was fine.

  540. I mean, you know he's just, they're happy, and you know, him and his wife were having a little date night and you know they're having their tenderness between the two of them, their time of intimacy, and and you know, right in the middle of it, here comes a girlfriend's face right up in front of him and just, you know, god, she said what's wrong?

  541. What's wrong with you?

  542. What happened?

  543. It's kind of funny, but it's not funny.

  544. See, what is that?

  545. See, every relation that he had had had established an illegal, illicit soul tie that didn't belong in his life.

  546. God didn't allow that.

  547. It didn't matter whether he's lost or saved.

  548. I'm telling you, whether you're lost or saved, every time that happens you've got a soul tie to deal with.

  549. Now Some of you are going, whoo See, that's why sometimes you just let that you need the Holy Ghost to help you clean stuff up because that soul tie is going to come and interfere.

  550. It is the pipeline, or it's the, you know, the Internet connection where a demonic power can come and disturb you.

  551. Glory to God.

  552. Well, he didn't know what to do with it, you know, and so it kept happening this, another one, another one, another one.

  553. And he had a lot of, a lot of girlfriends, had a lot of girlfriends when he was lost.

  554. But, uh, oh, I tell you, I, we've lived a real life, we, we, I've, I've ministered to people that lived a real life.

  555. I've seen the wreckage that an unsaved soul or one that has not been fully saved, because salvation is, is gradual, it's progressive, it's not all at once.

  556. Come on, lift your hands right now.

  557. Holy ghost, thank you for saving our soul.

  558. You want us free.

  559. You want us free.

  560. So you know what do I do?

  561. Well, you have to be diligent about these things.

  562. In consistency lies the power.

  563. You know.

  564. You just need to take time in your prayer time, when you're reading your Bible and the Holy Ghost is able to show you something that you've never dealt with.

  565. Stop right there and use the name of Jesus and say no, I reject that soul tie.

  566. I cut it off.

  567. I renounce that tie.

  568. It has no godly purpose in my life.

  569. That's over with.

  570. That's under the blood of Jesus.

  571. I plead the blood against it.

  572. Satan, you cannot have access to my soul.

  573. It's not that hard.

  574. And then you thank God.

  575. Oh, thank you Lord.

  576. Thank God, I'm free.

  577. Glory to God, I'm free.

  578. I'm free and see things that dog your tracks, some things that make you want to do certain things that you used to do when you were lost.

  579. That's what's going to stir those things up and make you have habits that come back on you, that you got, that you conquered.

  580. I knew a, I knew a lady.

  581. I knew her well, I knew her husband and they weren't part of my church.

  582. But I knew them and, uh, good people, successful businessman, and they started having trouble.

  583. And you know, I found out that, you know, she started drinking and drinking heavily and golly, she's a mom and everything.

  584. And all of a sudden you're going to church and then you like, you know, you're going to a full gospel church and then you start going to a bar and you're sitting on a bar stool getting drunk and drinking drinks.

  585. And so she was just, you know, you're going to a full gospel church and then you start going to a bar and you're sitting on a bar stool getting drunk and drinking drinks.

  586. And so she was just, you know, so sad.

  587. And then her husband got sick.

  588. She called me and she wanted me to go pray for him.

  589. I said, well, you know, he's not part of my church.

  590. I can't.

  591. You know he, he belongs to this other church.

  592. They are the ones that ought to know you, you're the ones that ought to know.

  593. You're the one that needs to pray for him.

  594. I need you to go and he's really sick and I need you to go to minister to him.

  595. And he was homosexual and he never really got his soul saved.

  596. He got saved, he got married, he had kids, but he never really turned away.

  597. In his mind he still was attracted and she knew it.

  598. And it broke her heart because she couldn't relate to him, she couldn't satisfy him, she couldn't be the wife she wanted to be, and she just didn't know how to handle it.

  599. So she just I said, well, you got to get off the sauce, man.

  600. Yeah, this is not going to help you, it's going to pull you down.

  601. Yeah, I know God's dealt with me, I'm, I'm okay, and but he, I don't think he's going to live and I just need you to go and minister to him please.

  602. And I did.

  603. I went and talked to him and ministered to him and we prayed together and he died about three weeks later.

  604. I believe he went to heaven, but he went to heaven too soon because his soul was never saved.

  605. He just went through life.

  606. He went through listen.

  607. He was saved.

  608. He's just as saved as you and I, but he just didn't get his soul saved.

  609. He didn't stop all of that.

  610. Oh, I tell you, we can stop whatever the devil has started.

  611. We can get our souls in a place where we're gonna live the kind of life we need to live and be living when Jesus comes.

  612. I'm just determined, we're gonna live that life.

  613. Amen.

  614. Come on, let's lift our hands.

  615. Father, we thank you.
