  1. Get your Bible out, and we've all got our Bibles and we're going to lift them up.

  2. It's our custom to lift up our Bibles and wave them around and make Jesus glad and the devil mad.

  3. His presence is here in this sanctuary and I'm just trusting it's where you're watching by way of live stream.

  4. So let's say this together Say, heavenly Father, I'm standing in your presence on holy ground.

  5. You've given me the Spirit of God to live inside of me.

  6. Because I'm a believer, I'm glad to say I'm born again of the Spirit of God.

  7. I say I'm filled with the Spirit and I say that I'm led by the Spirit.

  8. Today the Word of God is coming forth, the Spirit is going to shine His light on it and I'll receive revelation that will develop my faith and build my spirit.

  9. In Jesus' name.

  10. Amen, amen, praise God, and let's be seated and let's turn in our Bibles to the book of John, chapter 4.

    John 4 chapter mention

  11. Hallelujah, worship team.

  12. That was so beautiful.

  13. Thank you for that beautiful worship.

  14. John, chapter 4, verse 46.

    John 4:46

  15. So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee where he made the water wine.

  16. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum and when he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee.

  17. He went unto him and besought him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

  18. Then said Jesus unto him except ye see signs and wonders, you will not believe.

  19. And the nobleman saith unto him Sir, come down ere my child die.

  20. And Jesus saith unto him Go thy way, thy son liveth.

  21. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him.

  22. And he went his way.

  23. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him saying Thy son liveth.

  24. Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend.

  25. Everybody shout, began to amend.

  26. And they saith unto him yesterday, at the seventh hour, the fever left him One o'clock in the afternoon.

  27. So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said unto him Thy son liveth.

  28. And himself believed, and his whole house.

  29. This is again the second miracle that Jesus did when he came out of Judea into Galilee.

  30. And so today I wanted to share a message entitled the Switch of Faith, the Switch of Faith.

  31. Faith is a switch that turns on the power of God.

  32. Now I want to begin this morning and remind you that this is the year of momentum and this church.

  33. All this year we're celebrating our 30th year.

  34. Our 30th anniversary doesn't come until January of 2025, but this is our 30th year.

  35. Our 30th anniversary doesn't come until January of 19 of 2025, but this is our 30th year since we began.

  36. And 30 years of obedience, 30 years of getting into the word together, 30 years of miracles, 30 years of signs and wonders.

  37. I'm telling you, 30 years of laying hands on people right up here at the altar and seeing miracles, seeing God intervene.

  38. And you know I like to teach on faith, because faith is probably the most important doorway or entrance into the supernatural.

  39. It's not the only one, because there's three there's faith and then there's the anointing that's an access.

  40. And then there's three there's faith and then there's the anointing that's an access.

  41. And then there's the glory.

  42. I mean we were just about that far away from the glory this morning and the whole atmosphere after we sang Holy Ground.

  43. It just settled.

  44. You all felt it and that joy started bubbling up.

  45. You know we could have followed that on and I do believe it.

  46. As we go forward and we go closer and closer to the return of the Lord, we're going to see the glory come in and take over and nobody has to pray for you, then Nobody has to lay hands on you, then you don't.

  47. I mean just the glory can change everything.

  48. And then of course there's the anointing.

  49. I mean you have special anointings on people and you know you can have special anointings and you can go to a meeting and someone with a special anointing can lay their hands on you or they can have a word of knowledge and we have that here at this church.

  50. We've functioned in that for many years and and the thing about that is, it just is real.

  51. The supernatural power of God, the accesses to God's miraculous power and healing can come.

  52. Other miracles, financial miracles, can occur.

  53. But I like to teach on faith, because faith is the one that where you, just you and God, I mean you know it's not dependent on being in a meeting, it's not dependent on another preacher or someone else, it's you taking the Word of God, like this nobleman did.

  54. He took one word of Jesus and acted on it and God results.

  55. Everybody say faith, anointing and glory.

  56. See what is a miracle?

  57. See, a miracle is an occurrence contrary to the established course of things or a deviation from the known laws of nature.

  58. It's a supernatural event.

  59. You know, thank God for what doctors can do.

  60. Doctors can do a lot.

  61. They can't heal, but they treat.

  62. They treat disease and until recently, I think most doctors you know just had.

  63. You know.

  64. Medicine was basically given and invented to help your body do what it's designed to do.

  65. Of course that's not true anymore.

  66. Now it's.

  67. You're a guinea pig for whatever kind of crazy thing that some globalist wants to find out about.

  68. I hate to say it, but our healthcare delivery system has been invaded by communism and by globalism and by demons and by all kinds of things.

  69. That's why it's more important than ever before that you walk by faith and understand how to access the supernatural.

  70. I mean, the doctors are, they're, they're, they're limited with the natural but, oh God, supernatural power that deviates from the natural course of things.

  71. This is what I'm talking about.

  72. Glory, come on, lift your hand right now.

  73. Thank God, we have access and this momentum.

  74. I gave you a word last week because God woke me up the week before and in the middle of the night, 2.30 in the morning, I got up and I had a couple of folks on my heart and I saw myself ministering to them.

  75. Last week they weren't here last week.

  76. I'm not sure if they're here this week, but it doesn't matter.

  77. I mean there's no time or distance.

  78. If they're here I'll lay hands on them.

  79. But then we laid hands on others.

  80. I said, what about me?

  81. Is there any hope for me?

  82. I've been stuck.

  83. It's like I've been walking a tightrope over an abyss.

  84. And I mean the whole front filled up and I laid hands on people.

  85. Well, you know that's that comes from the anointing.

  86. Now, see, but it's not just my anointing, it's what the corporate anointing I.

  87. The longer I live, the more confidence I have in in this anointing that's abides in this church.

  88. That that what we felt this morning corporately when we sang holy ground.

  89. I mean that right.

  90. I mean this is powerful and the momentum is building.

  91. I'm telling you, glory to God.

  92. Some of you find yourself in tough situations.

  93. I mean it's pretty tough when you see your child dying.

  94. And this man was an important man, a noble man.

  95. He was in charge of things.

  96. You know, bible scholars argue about what he was, who he was.

  97. Some people say he worked for Herod and he was part of Herod's court.

  98. And his wife, they speculate, was a lady that later was a supporter of Jesus and gave her substance and followed him and supported his ministry financially, probably because her son got healed.

  99. I don't know if it's true or not.

  100. I know one thing his influence couldn't help his son.

  101. There was only one help for his son and the switch of faith had to be turned on.

  102. You know, we first moved into this building.

  103. It's been 20 years ago this last month, may of 2004,.

  104. We moved into this building, we built this building, moved into it, and you know.

  105. So I decided to come in here.

  106. I wanted to come up on the platform and look in my pulpit.

  107. I had some stuff Back then I had a pulpit, had stuff in there.

  108. I wanted to see if I could find some anointing oil that I had stored in there.

  109. And and uh, I thought well, there's plenty of light coming here, broad daylight, all that light coming from those double doors.

  110. I'll, I'll have plenty, I don't have to bother looking for the light switch.

  111. I couldn't find the light switch.

  112. So I just, I just came on in here and I got about about halfway down the aisle until all the light was gone.

  113. I mean, I couldn't see my hand in front of my face.

  114. It's dark man, I mean.

  115. And then I kept walking and I hit the steps and fell across the steps of the altar.

  116. It's amazing, I didn't break my nose.

  117. You know, all I had to do was what Turn on the switch.

  118. There was power, but no light.

  119. Why?

  120. Because the switch was off.

  121. See, god's power has been poured out.

  122. God's spirit is everywhere present.

  123. He's omnipresent.

  124. His power is available everywhere, but it has to be activated by faith.

  125. You have to turn on the switch of faith, which is why I'm going to teach on the first access today, because if you'll master this, you'll never be without God's supernatural power to help you through whatever you have.

  126. There are 19 healing miracles listed in the gospels, the four gospels.

  127. Some are mentioned more than once, so I'm not counting them again, I'm only counting them once.

  128. The ones that are mentioned two or three times just count for one.

  129. So there's 19 of them.

  130. 12 of the 19 mention faith, the faith of the person that received their healing.

  131. So it must be kind of important, which is why I teach on it.

  132. I mean, without faith it's impossible to please God.

  133. So, no matter what, we have to keep the switch of faith turned on.

  134. You know, I think a lot of times people don't keep the switch turned on because they don't see instant results.

  135. In this situation, it's Jesus.

  136. Notice, jesus didn't go into detail, he didn't call it scarlet fever, he didn't call, he didn't name the infirmity, he just said thy son liveth.

  137. That covers a lot of territory.

  138. I mean, you know, he didn't even get emotional, he didn't do, he didn't holler, he didn't jump, he didn't twist, he didn't spit cotton, he didn't.

  139. He just told the guy go your way, your son liveth.

  140. And thank God he had some servants that went toward him and didn't make him wait all the way till he came.

  141. Oh, let's go tell the master.

  142. I mean, oh, oh, he's getting better, look at him, let's go tell the master.

  143. They ran, they went down the road.

  144. It took a while.

  145. I mean it's it's over a day's journey and they meet the master.

  146. Oh, master, thy son liveth.

  147. Well, what time?

  148. When did he?

  149. When did he begin to amend?

  150. When did he start to get better?

  151. See, it wasn't instant.

  152. He got better.

  153. The fever left.

  154. I like to think about one.

  155. I mean Peter rebuked the fever and I mean Jesus rebuked the fever in Peter's mother-in-law.

  156. Get it out, spit it out.

  157. Peter's mother-in-law was sick with a fever right and he rebuked the fever and it left.

  158. See, I like to personify devils and demons and sickness.

  159. I like to make them into a person.

  160. And I just think about that fever that was killing that little boy.

  161. And I mean they said, oh my God, we better pack our bags and get out.

  162. Jesus might come in person and beat the living daylights out of us.

  163. Let's get out while the getting's good.

  164. That's how I think about it.

  165. Maybe you don't think about things like that.

  166. Every time I say, in the name of Jesus, I see devils leaving.

  167. They can't wait to get out, they can't wait to hit the door.

  168. Glory to God, such is the name of Jesus that we've been given.

  169. So, anyway, when was it that he began to amend?

  170. Well, it was about 1 o'clock yesterday.

  171. That was the same hour that Jesus spoke what he spoke Thy son liveth, go thy way, thy son liveth.

  172. And I just think about every step of the way.

  173. It wasn't right over the next block, I mean, it's overnight and he's walking.

  174. And every step of the way.

  175. What's he saying?

  176. Oh, I sure hope he's right.

  177. No, no, he believed.

  178. The Bible says he believed the words that Jesus spoke.

  179. See, believe is not mentally agree for a little while and then change your mind later.

  180. Believe is an act.

  181. Every step he took oh, thank God, my son lives.

  182. Oh, thank God, he's near death, but now he's living.

  183. The master said he's living.

  184. Glory to God.

  185. Thank you, lord.

  186. Oh.

  187. And then here comes his servants.

  188. Oh, master, your son liveth.

  189. When did he begin to amend?

  190. Yesterday, at one o'clock.

  191. That's when Jesus said it oh, and he believed and his whole house believed.

  192. I mean, it shook the whole region.

  193. Listen, he's a regional ruler, he's an influential man.

  194. I'm telling you, god is strategic.

  195. We need to bring this witness.

  196. I mean, you know, god sacrificed Paul for Caesar and there's no record that Caesar accepted his witness, no record that Caesar ever got saved.

  197. But God thought it so important for Caesar to have a witness that he said you're going to go and you're going to stand before Caesar.

  198. Look what he had to suffer just to go.

  199. Do that.

  200. He had to be arrested.

  201. He had to go through a shipwreck.

  202. He had to.

  203. He had to be beaten with many stripes.

  204. He, he suffered and suffered and he went through.

  205. He said I'm going to show you what great things you have to suffer for your namesake.

  206. You know what You're going to get persecuted, you're going to have people cuss you out.

  207. You're going to have people spit at you and get mad at you and demonic display on you and you just have to shake it off.

  208. Glory to God, you've got the greater one living on the inside of you.

  209. He gives you the victory.

  210. Glory to God.

  211. Now, you know, the little boy began to amend.

  212. You know he didn't leap up out of bed and go play soccer.

  213. He began to amend.

  214. And this is where a lot of times we let the switch go off.

  215. The switch goes off.

  216. I mean, you know, have you ever had a bad switch?

  217. You know, sometimes a switch, you know, especially like when a car those old timey cars used to have these big old ignition switches, you know, and, and you know you you'd turn the key and turn the switch, and that's before they were in the steering column, they were down in the dash.

  218. See, that's how old I am.

  219. I remember the old push buttons.

  220. They had push button start in the old cars.

  221. Now I got a brand new Jag and it's got a push button start.

  222. So things come back around, see, but sometimes those switches get kind of faulty and so then you know, the starter doesn't quite engage and you just oh, and finally it decides See, don't let your switch go bad, the switch of faith.

  223. Keep the switch of faith on, no matter what it looks like after you believe God.

  224. Those of you that came up last week for healing, I mean, I got a, you know, elaine, her leg was healed instantly.

  225. Someone else's had an instant manifestation.

  226. Whether it's instant, really instant, is very rare.

  227. Most of the time it's gradual, most of the time it takes a little time.

  228. It's a process, and so keep the switch of faith turned on.

  229. That's what I'm talking about today.

  230. I want you to show you how to do it, and once you learn how to do it, then you've got to train yourself to respond differently than you have in the past.

  231. Because in the past you know we get a bad report from the doctor and we go through all kind of you know, sad, and we have a pity party and we say me, lord, and so forth, and so all of that, you know it's just useless, that doesn't do anything, doesn't help you.

  232. In fact it puts you deeper under the hole.

  233. So, thank god, his dad kept the switch of faith turned on all the way down the road until they got out there and told him, and he kept on.

  234. He kept on keeping the switch of faith.

  235. He believed his wife believed, his family believed the little boy believed, everybody believed in the whole house and that had to shake that whole region.

  236. Because he's a ruler, he's an important person.

  237. God wants to reach people because he's not that they're worth more, but they have influence.

  238. God's strategic.

  239. He's not just random, just randomly coming across.

  240. No, he's strategic, all right.

  241. So turn on the switch of faith.

  242. Number one I got three things.

  243. Turn on the switch of the word.

  244. You know, the first thing you should do and I've heard, I've said it over and over, I'm going to say it again this day because we have people that are new, people that haven't been here before.

  245. Maybe they you just started coming, you hadn't heard everything that I've been preaching for a long, long time.

  246. God told me to preach the things that I take for granted.

  247. I mean, you know, I got off trying to have a Bible school, almost you know, and have a Bible school almost you know, and he said, no, teach the things that you take for granted.

  248. They need to know the nitty gritty, they need to know how to get the things that you're talking about.

  249. So I don't care.

  250. I mean, god cured me from the fear of repetition.

  251. I just go ahead and preach it over and over again, but find the place where it's written about your situation.

  252. Find out what does the word say about my situation?

  253. That's where it starts, right there.

  254. And see, really, if you read your Bible every day like I prescribe, I prescribe 10 chapters a day.

  255. I'm a pastor.

  256. That's just too well.

  257. How much time have you got?

  258. You've got 24 hours a day, like I do.

  259. You can allocate your time any way you wish.

  260. And if you wish to just X out reading your Bible, then you can pay the price that you will pay, which will be dear, for not having the word of God built up in.

  261. You See, there's only one way for it to get in there is for you to read it.

  262. Oh yeah, I can preach it, but I mean you can read it every day.

  263. 10 chapters a day.

  264. If you do 10 chapters a day, you'll read through the way I tell people to read it.

  265. We've got their Bible reading plan out there in the lobby.

  266. If you read it the way that I prescribed, then you'll read the Psalms through once a month, the Proverbs once a month.

  267. You'll read the Old Testament through once in a year and the New Testament you'll read through three times in a year.

  268. That's about the right balance and the word of God will get down in you to where you don't even have to look it up.

  269. You will know inside of you when, when Satan or the doctor or the CPA or whoever comes and gives you a bad report, you're going to know automatically what the Bible says about it.

  270. Turn on the switch of the word Mark, chapter five.

  271. The woman with the issue of blood hemorrhaging she had hemorrhaged for 12 years, spent all of her living on doctors was nothing better, but rather grew worse when she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind.

  272. For, she said, for.

  273. She continually said.

  274. She said over and over if I can just touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole Every step of the journey she took.

  275. Here she's weak, here she is bleeding.

  276. She's really unclean.

  277. She's illegally out there.

  278. Her religion has the I mean the Judaism.

  279. They can stone her for being out there like that.

  280. Besides that, women in the Bible didn't have the freedom then that they do now.

  281. It was frowned on for women to travel and go unaccompanied by themselves.

  282. And here she is, and on top of that bleeding and she overcame her weakness, 12 years of hemorrhaging.

  283. She had to have been anemic, she had to have all kinds of other physical ailments attached to this horrible hemorrhaging that she had experienced.

  284. I mean, you know she was weak and yet she continued and said I shall be whole, I shall be whole, I shall be whole.

  285. And when she got to where jesus was, she had to get on her hands and knees and crawl and touch the hem of his garment because he was thronged with people.

  286. And instantly when she, when she touched the hem of his garment, she felt in her body she had been healed of that plague and he felt virtue or power go out of him.

  287. I mean, her faith made a demand on the word.

  288. Jesus is the word, isn't he?

  289. Glory to God, go on, hit your hands right now.

  290. Hallelujah.

  291. I like Mark 11, 23.

  292. Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, that's one word.

  293. Say.

  294. It means say, say to this mountain, Not pray about the mountain.

  295. Say to the mountain, be thou removed, removed, be thou cast.

  296. And say shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe those things which he saith.

  297. That's a different greek word.

  298. Lego is the first one.

  299. Epo is this one.

  300. Epo means having a systematic discourse.

  301. It means you say it over and over.

  302. You believe whatever you say over and over.

  303. You believe it in your heart and not doubt in your heart.

  304. But believe with those things which you say over and over.

  305. You believe it in your heart and not doubt in your heart.

  306. But believe with those things which you say over and over shall come to pass.

  307. You shall have whatsoever you shall say.

  308. That's exactly what she did.

  309. She turned on the switch of the word.

  310. She kept confessing the word.

  311. She didn't stop confessing the word halfway there.

  312. She didn't say oh no, I don't think I'm going to make it now.

  313. I'm too weak.

  314. Oh, I think they spotted me.

  315. I think they're going to stone me now.

  316. Oh no, oh no, no, no.

  317. She just kept on walking.

  318. She kept on walking.

  319. She kept on walking.

  320. Did she feel like it?

  321. You know she didn't.

  322. How could you be 12 years, hemorrhaging and feel like taking a journey?

  323. She didn't feel like it.

  324. But her faith, what she heard about Jesus, impelled her Glory to God.

  325. What are you hearing about him?

  326. That's why I preach about him.

  327. He's the healer, he's the deliverer, he's the savior.

  328. Glory to God.

  329. He's the baptizer and the Holy Ghost, he's a God of my praise.

  330. Holy Ghost, he's a God of my praise.

  331. So keep on saying what you believe in your heart.

  332. Turn on the switch of the word Number two, turn on the switch of praise.

  333. Now, this is really related to the first one, because you know you can praise with the word.

  334. Say I'm going to say it again.

  335. So you can praise him with the word I mean you know it's really part of your confession.

  336. Say I'm going to say it again, so you can praise him with the word I mean you know it's really part of your confession.

  337. So you know, I don't know if the, if the ruler did this, but I can.

  338. I can see how he'd go down the road and say oh, father, thank you for healing my son.

  339. Jesus said he lives.

  340. Thank you Lord, thank you.

  341. Jesus said he lives.

  342. I'm going home to see my son.

  343. He's alive.

  344. Oh, he's getting better all the time.

  345. Glory to God.

  346. He's been recovered of this death.

  347. He's not going to die, he's going to live.

  348. Oh, jesus said he's going to live.

  349. I believe the word Hallelujah.

  350. Glory to God.

  351. See, you can have that systematic discourse related to praise, because praise is faith in action.

  352. I mean, when you really believe God.

  353. You're gonna praise God.

  354. It's not.

  355. Praise is not a feeling.

  356. You praise God.

  357. Feelings come and go.

  358. Your feelings will follow your faith.

  359. I said your feelings will follow your faith.

  360. Don't worry about your feelings.

  361. You feel all kind of things.

  362. You can feel sad and still go.

  363. Ha ha ha.

  364. The devil can't tell the difference between ha ha ha.

  365. He can't tell the difference.

  366. He's too stupid, not as smart as he thinks.

  367. So turn on the switch of praise.

  368. My favorite about praise and and prayer and and confession is act 16.

  369. Paul and silas went to macedonia because he had a dream about.

  370. The macedonian man said come over here and help us.

  371. And they went.

  372. They got some people saved.

  373. They stayed with a lady named lydia, seller of purple, and all of that.

  374. And then then the Jews got all mad at them and the the people of the town.

  375. They were afraid that they were going to attack their false god, you know.

  376. And they beat him with many stripes and threw him in the inner prison.

  377. And they're.

  378. They put them in the in the prison, behind bars, and put their feet and ankles in those stocks where you can't even lay down, you can't even change position, you're just so.

  379. Can you imagine their backs just beating bloody, stripe after stripe after stripe.

  380. You know they had to feel terrible.

  381. I mean, they're not just oh, wow, this feels really great.

  382. How are you feeling?

  383. Oh, I'm feeling great.

  384. My back hadn't felt better.

  385. No, they got beaten, they hurt and now they're in prison.

  386. In the inner prison Don't even have a window.

  387. Can you imagine the smell?

  388. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises so loud.

  389. The other prisoners heard them.

  390. I mean they praised God.

  391. What were they praising God for the stripes?

  392. No, they were praising God for deliverance.

  393. They knew they were in the will of God.

  394. They waited for God to reveal His will.

  395. They knew they were there on assignment and I can just imagine they prayed and said God, I just thank you, you sent us here.

  396. We haven't seen the Macedonian man yet and I just know you're going to, you're going to lead us to that Macedonian man.

  397. I just know you're going to do that.

  398. Thank you, lord.

  399. Yeah, we've been beaten with strife, but oh, we just praise you.

  400. We thank you that we're healed.

  401. We thank you that we're blessed.

  402. I thank you that we're delivered.

  403. They got to shouting, they got to singing and everybody heard them.

  404. And the devil heard them and got so mad he wanted to send an earthquake.

  405. He sent an earthquake to kill them.

  406. And God invaded the earthquake and broke them out of jail and all of the prisoners.

  407. And when the jailer saw that all the prison was open and the prisoners were free, he took a sword and was going to kill himself.

  408. Oh, paul said don't do yourself any harm, we're all here.

  409. Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

  410. And they preached to him and got him saved and baptized.

  411. And then he washed their stripes and cleansed them.

  412. Oh, come on, glory to God.

  413. I mean, they praised in the midnight hour.

  414. They praised no matter what was going on.

  415. They didn't praise for it, they praised in it, they praised through it.

  416. Lord, if you'll just lift your voice and praise after you've taken the word of God and confessed it or prayed it either one then you've got a praise in your mouth until until everything shows up.

  417. Sometimes it shows up later, sometimes it's a process, sometimes things get a little worse before they get better.

  418. Then what are you going to do?

  419. That's not God testing you.

  420. That's the devil trying everything he can to keep you out of what God paid for through the blood of Jesus.

  421. Turn on the switch of praise, turn on the switch of the word, the last one, turn on the switch of action.

  422. James 2.20,.

  423. Faith without corresponding action is dead being alone.

  424. The woman with the issue of blood she'd have died if she hadn't taken action and took that journey.

  425. This man, if he hadn't taken action and did what Jesus said go your way, your son liveth If he'd have hung around there in Galilee.

  426. Well, I'm here in Galilee.

  427. It's been a long time since I've had a shawarma.

  428. I think I'm going to go over here and eat me a shawarma.

  429. First, I'm going to have some, you know, I'm going to have a couple of sandwiches.

  430. I'm going to have a couple of sandwiches.

  431. I'm going to hang around.

  432. I'm going to go see my cousin.

  433. It's been a while since I've been over here.

  434. No, he had to get home.

  435. Jesus said go your way and see as he went.

  436. See, he took action.

  437. He took action.

  438. So you don't.

  439. You've got to act like the Bible is true.

  440. Now, the initial action of faith is speaking.

  441. What you speak?

  442. Of course we know that we've got to speak.

  443. That's the initial action, but not the only action.

  444. Listen, there's another action.

  445. Well, what, what, what is that?

  446. Well, why don't you ask the Lord how do I act?

  447. My faith?

  448. I got laid off one time.

  449. I had no, I mean, you know, I had no savings.

  450. The guy laid me off and I just sat there in his driveway and I put the key in the ignition and it wasn't shorted.

  451. I was so glad that I didn't have a breakdown in the guy's driveway that would have been embarrassing.

  452. After he laid me off, he really.

  453. But no, I started the car and as I was putting it in reverse, I said God, I can count this as that.

  454. I just got fired, or I can just or laid off.

  455. Really, we didn't fire, he just ended the company I was running, for I was running a remodeling company.

  456. He decided to take his money and do other things.

  457. We weren't making that much money, so he had his money in the home building business.

  458. He was a builder, like I had been.

  459. Now I'm working for him, and so about a year, and then he just laid me off.

  460. Well, john, what are you going to do?

  461. I said I'm going to do what I did before I ever knew about you.

  462. I'm going to trust God.

  463. And so I got out the car and you know what I'd been getting.

  464. I'd been getting a word promotion, promotion, promotion.

  465. He had a lady catch me at Prayer Warrior Church at Lakewood.

  466. We were in a meeting and she said John, I've been praying for you lately and God gave me this word promotion.

  467. I said thank you, sister, I receive it.

  468. And so I said in his driveway, after he laid me off, with no, I mean, I got two weeks' pay and that was it.

  469. There was no severance pay, there was no bonus, there was no you know nothing to go out the door where I just got paid for two weeks that he owed me.

  470. And uh, I said I can count this as just getting laid off or I can count this as a promotion.

  471. Lord, I just thank you, I've been promoted, you've got a promotion for me.

  472. So, all the way home, thank you, lord, I've been promoted.

  473. Glory to God.

  474. This had to end so I could get what you've got for me.

  475. Thank God, you've got it.

  476. You've got it on your way.

  477. Hallelujah, thank God, we've been promoted, honey.

  478. I got home.

  479. Honey, that was pretty stupid, if I do say so myself.

  480. I mean she did not look at it as a promotion.

  481. She looked at it as yet another crazy thing that she had to put up with in a life that she had chosen to be my wife.

  482. She had to follow me down this pathway of destruction, but anyway.

  483. So I sat down, you know, and I started thinking about you know, because I'd been thinking about getting back in the home, build a business, and I said, lord, now, you know, I had this word promotion.

  484. Now, how do I further act, my faith, what do I need to do to act on my faith?

  485. And I had come up with a plan.

  486. See, you've got to have a plan.

  487. It might not be God's plan, but you've got to do something.

  488. You can't just sit there and wish and hope.

  489. I made a plan.

  490. What could I do?

  491. And how much money would it take for me to do something, to make a living?

  492. And I saw an opportunity in a place called Bear Creek.

  493. 1,100 houses were vacant and the windows are getting broke out, they're getting vandalized, the grass is growing.

  494. This whole neighborhood was a man.

  495. It was bad, and the people that lived there still live there.

  496. I mean, their values went down the tubes because of all the vacant, foreclosed houses.

  497. So I had this idea I could go to the bank and I could tell them I could take care of those houses and charge them a fee.

  498. I take over the houses, make sure they're all repaired, make sure they're all secured, make sure the locked doors are locked on the front door.

  499. Make sure there's not any squatters in there.

  500. Make sure there's not any you know animals living in there.

  501. Make sure that the grass is cut, because I'd done that before and I was pretty sure I could sell them on that idea.

  502. I came up with a plan and it was going to take me about 25K.

  503. I said so there's a need Now.

  504. Then, lord, what do I need to do to act?

  505. My faith, and he gave me in Deuteronomy, where Moses said the Lord, make you a thousand times greater.

  506. I see, a hundredfold wouldn't work, I needed a thousandfold.

  507. I had $35 to my name in the bank and God said put $25 in the offering tonight, wednesday night at Lakewood, put 25 of the 35 in the offering.

  508. Now, that's crazy $25 and you're believing for 25,000?

  509. Come on, grind.

  510. Well, I'm just telling you what the Holy Ghost gave me something to do.

  511. He gave me an action plan.

  512. You need to take action.

  513. You can't just sit there on your blessed assurance and just say, well, I'm waiting on God.

  514. Well, you know.

  515. No, he's waiting on you to take action.

  516. So we took that $25 check.

  517. We prayed over it.

  518. I can't believe the bank didn't close my account.

  519. I mean $10 left in the bank.

  520. Why would they even leave the account open?

  521. And so, anyway, we agreed, we put that in the offering and a month later I had a partner.

  522. I was back in the home building business.

  523. He brought $100,000.

  524. He had a lot more than I was believing for.

  525. He brought $100,000 into the partnership and we started our business building houses.

  526. Come on, lift your hands right now.

  527. Take action.

  528. Faith without corresponding action is dead being alone.

  529. Keep the switch of faith on.

  530. I kept the switch of faith when I heard that bad report.

  531. I've got to let you go, john.

  532. There's nothing left for us to do here.

  533. What are you going to do, john?

  534. I felt so bad.

  535. He felt so bad.

  536. I said y'all don't feel bad for me.

  537. I'm trusting God.

  538. God's my source, not you.

  539. They kind of.

  540. I guess they thought they were my source, but they weren't.

  541. Are y'all getting this down?

  542. So you know, act like what you say is true.

  543. See, if you've been saying the word and you've been acting on the word and and and and praising with the word, then act like it's true and find a course of action.

  544. Are you sick?

  545. Well, get up, resist the symptoms if you can.

  546. I mean, you can't do that if you're in ICU.

  547. I've been in ICU so I couldn't get up, but I resisted.

  548. Are y'all with me now?

  549. Are you sad?

  550. Well, laugh.

  551. Maybe you don't feel like laughing?

  552. Well, I don't feel like laughing.

  553. I feel like laughing.

  554. I feel like, well, don't cry.

  555. Don't ever let the devil see you cry.

  556. Don't let the devil see you sweat.

  557. Come on, let's come on.

  558. Who who's bigger?

  559. Great big God, little bitty devil.

  560. That's what I say all the time.

  561. Great big God, little bitty devil.

  562. I'm not going to cry, I'm going to laugh.

  563. I might start out going ha ha ha.

  564. Well, okay, he can't tell the difference, but if you laugh fake long enough, you'll start laughing for real.

  565. Are you getting anything out of this?

  566. I'm talking about turning on the switch of faith.

  567. Are you broke?

  568. See, I was broke.

  569. I didn't have a job, it was gone.

  570. I didn't have a business Gladys gone.

  571. I didn't have a business, gladys, just amens.

  572. All the way through this part, thank God, my kids were too young to really know what was going on.

  573. They might have.

  574. They just knew something was going on.

  575. They didn't know what If you broke, give.

  576. I mean, we gave the 25 out of the $35.

  577. If he'd have said 35, I'd have closed the account and gave the 35.

  578. He said 25.

  579. I laugh every time I think about it, I just laugh $10 in the bank, $10.

  580. I mean you look at that and you go this is nuts, come on, give me a break.

  581. It worked.

  582. It's been working ever since.

  583. Just look around.

  584. This building is a result of acting on faith, hearing the Word of God, praising and acting like the Bible is true, where God is opening doors for us right now.

  585. That he spoke to me in 1996.

  586. I had no idea what God was talking about where.

  587. And God is opening doors for us to go into other States with capital worship.

  588. It's just amazing what God is doing and he had it in mind.

  589. I didn't have any idea what that plan was.

  590. I didn't know what it meant.

  591. But God, do all along All.

  592. We just do it.

  593. We just kept going along, one step at a time, one step at a time.

  594. I know one thing we've come into a door right now, we've come into a room right now where there's increase in, uh, in anointing, there's an increase in God's presence.

  595. There's an increase in God's power for healing and for deliverance and for provision.

  596. I'm telling you, as well as I know my name, we've come to a different area, a different place right now.

  597. What does God do?

  598. He doesn't just give you everything.

  599. When you, when you get in the army and you're a buck private, you don't get to be a general.

  600. You get to be a buck private.

  601. And then you get to be told how crummy you are.

  602. Be told how crummy you are, you're a worm, you're a slime, don't you?

  603. You know, I can't stand to even look at you private.

  604. And then you get to be a PFC.

  605. Then you get to be a corporal, if you keep at it, and then you get to be a sergeant, and then you get to be a bigger sergeant and then you know, you don't get to be a general.

  606. I'm telling you right now, they don't make generals out of privates.

  607. And see, we've been promoted, we've been promoted, and 30 years we've been promoted, we've been going up, up, up, up.

  608. We've got momentum.

  609. I'm telling you, if you'll catch a hold of this, catch a hold of it, glory to God.

  610. So keep the switch of faith turned on and you will always have access to God's supernatural power.

  611. Come on, lift your hands and receive today.

  612. Glory to God.

  613. I want to tell this it's kind of negative in a way, but I just can't get away from it About action.

  614. Brother Hagin has a testimony back when he used to preach for full gospel businessmen.

  615. You know, not all the churches were open to his ministry.

  616. A lot of them were critical of the Word of Faith.

  617. Still are today.

  618. Oh, you're the name it and claim it.

  619. You're the blab it and grab it group.

  620. Well, whatever kind of ugly name you want to call it, we're preaching the Word of Faith, like Paul preached, like Jesus preached.

  621. You can make some silly name up if you want to.

  622. That's your prerogative.

  623. But he was preaching for the full gospel businessmen and had a healing line.

  624. And this couple brought their little girl about eight years old and it was about 90 miles, 100 miles, you know to the meeting and she had something wrong with her.

  625. She couldn't walk without help, she couldn't feed herself, she couldn't talk, eight years old, and so he held her and he laid hands on her and they noticed that she was walking a little better and standing up straighter, but that was all nothing else.

  626. And they left and they had a long drive home.

  627. So they went back by a drive-in and got a hamburger for everybody to eat and so mama sitting in the front seat, little girl in the back seat before they had car seats and seat belts, I mean I used to stand in the back of the car, like on the seat, like this, my arms up here.

  628. I mean we were crazy back in the 50s.

  629. As long as I left my mother alone, she didn't mind me standing back there, but anyway, this little kid.

  630. So she's in the back seat.

  631. So she pinched off between her thumb and forefinger, she pinched off a piece of the hamburger and fed it to the little girl.

  632. And that's how she'd eat.

  633. She'd just eat a little morsel from her mother's.

  634. Just pinch off a little corner of the hamburger and fed it to the little girl.

  635. And that's how she'd eat.

  636. She'd just eat a little morsel from her mother's, just pinch off a little corner of the hamburger and hand it back.

  637. And then a little bit later she said give me that.

  638. And reached up and got the hamburger out of her mother's hand and ate the hamburger on her own.

  639. And about three days later they brought her back to Brother Hagin and she came running up to Brother Hagin, wrapped her arms around him, said I love you, but in process of time and this is kind of negative, I know, but in process of time that couple backslid, they just they got out of church, they got out of fellowship and I think they even separated and that little girl lost every bit of the healing that she had.

  640. She was 90% healed when Brother Hagin saw her three days later 75% right after the meeting, really 90% within three days.

  641. And she lost her healing and was worse Pastor.

  642. That's so terrible.

  643. That's why would God?

  644. God didn't do it.

  645. Her parents are responsible.

  646. They didn't keep the switch of faith turned on.

  647. They didn't do what they should have done.

  648. They didn't, they didn't serve.

  649. I mean, why would you, why would you turn your back on God that healed your little girl?

  650. I mean, why would you turn your back on God that healed your little girl?

  651. It's inexplicable, but I've seen it over and over for 40-something years.

  652. I've seen it.

  653. That's why I'm saying this story.

  654. Don't let that be you God.

  655. When God does something for you, whether it's your faith or someone else's faith, I mean we ought to just be on the housetop telling everybody that Jesus is the healer.

  656. Glory to God.

  657. Let's keep the switch of faith turned on.

  658. Come on, lift your hands and receive the word Hallelujah.
