  1. And let's wave our Bibles around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad.

  2. Say this together.

  3. Say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be here today.

  4. I just want what the Holy Ghost wants.

  5. I'm here to flow with Him.

  6. I'm entering into a new place.

  7. I'm going to see signs and wonders and miracles.

  8. I'm lifting my sights, I'm taking the limits off of my God.

  9. There's nothing that my God can't do.

  10. That song is true.

  11. I believe it, I speak it and I shall have it in Jesus' name.

  12. Amen, you can be seated.

  13. Let's turn in our Bibles to Acts, the book of Acts, chapter 10.

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  14. And verse 38, very familiar verse, acts 10, 38.

  15. Acts 10, 38.

  16. It says how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.

  17. And then, if we'll turn back to Acts, chapter 1, jesus is right after the resurrection.

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  18. He's about to be lifted off the earth.

  19. He's been on the earth 40 days after the resurrection telling them about the kingdom of God, showing himself alive by many infallible proofs.

  20. I mean, he had to prove that it was him.

  21. Isn't that amazing?

  22. He told him he was going to be risen from the dead.

  23. They just didn't believe it and he had to keep showing him.

  24. Yeah, it's me, yeah, it's me All right.

  25. And then verse four and being assembled together with them.

  26. Jesus's me, all right.

  27. And then verse four and being assembled together with them.

  28. Jesus commanded them, commanded them.

  29. Everybody say he commanded that they should not leave, depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the father, which say of he, you have heard of me, for John, truly baptized with water.

  30. But you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days from now.

  31. Verse eight but you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.

  32. My margin says you shall receive the power of the Holy Ghost coming upon you.

  33. You shall receive the power of the Holy Ghost coming upon you, coming upon you.

  34. See, the Holy Ghost came upon Jesus.

  35. He went about doing good and now he's telling them don't leave Jerusalem until the Holy Ghost comes upon you, like it did me.

  36. You shall receive the power of the Holy Ghost coming upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  37. And so today I want to share a message entitled the Power of the Anointing.

  38. Remember, I told you last week, we have three entrances, three doorways, three portals, three points of access into God's miracle power, and those three are faith, anointing and glory.

  39. And it's important for us to be taught faith.

  40. I spend a lot of my time teaching on faith because faith is the most, uh, you know, reliable of the three, because faith has to do with you.

  41. You may not be in a meeting, you may not be in a place where there's the anointing unit.

  42. They be there may not be a manifestation of glory I mean, glory is pretty rare, you know and so, uh, if you need a miracle, you can take God's word and you can believe it and receive it, and, and and you can access God's miracle power through your own faith.

  43. And that's why 12 out of the 19 healing miracles listed in the gospels mentioned the faith of the person.

  44. So last week we taught you on the switch of faith.

  45. Faith is a switch that turns on the power of God.

  46. Turn on the switch of the word, find out what the word says, believe it in your heart.

  47. Then, uh, then you've got to speak it, you know, amen, you've got to praise him for it.

  48. Turn on the switch of praise and then turn on the switch of action.

  49. Faith without corresponding action is dead being alone.

  50. You've got to act, like the Bible is true.

  51. Of course, speaking is the initial action, but it's not the only action.

  52. There's always something subsequent.

  53. If you're going to believe God, if you're sick, get up.

  54. Oh, you believe you're healed.

  55. Well, then, get up.

  56. Quit laying in bed.

  57. You might have to take a hanky with you, but get up.

  58. You might have to have a cold wash rag, but get up.

  59. Brother Hagin I mean, he received his healing.

  60. He's been paralyzed 14 months, hadn't gotten out of bed.

  61. So if you're a key and you know, he finally got it on his own.

  62. Little Baptist boy, nobody taught him anything about healing, he got it on his own.

  63. The anointing inside of him We'll talk about that in a minute Led him.

  64. He wasn't a tongue talker, he didn't have power of the Holy ghost on him, he just had the spirit of God in him because he's born again.

  65. And that led him, in his word, to find out that healing belonged to him, just like salvation did.

  66. And so he said I believe I've received my healing today.

  67. He said well, if you, if you believe you've received your healing, what are you doing in that bed?

  68. Get up.

  69. So he.

  70. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and he stood and he got weak and everything Got dizzy, had to go back to bed.

  71. By the end of that day he got up and got dressed and went to the kitchen table and ate with mama and grandma.

  72. If you're sad, well, laugh.

  73. If you're broke, sell something and give.

  74. Told them a story about selling a car and giving.

  75. Praise God.

  76. When was that?

  77. Wednesday night.

  78. I told that story Wednesday night.

  79. We were so we were.

  80. You know, when I use the word desperate, people usually take it negatively.

  81. I think there's a place where we need to be desperate for God, because it speaks of intensity.

  82. I mean, when it comes to God, we ought to not be mealy mouth and lackadaisical.

  83. I call it lukewarm and Jesus said if you're lukewarm, I'm going to vomit you out.

  84. No, we need to be hot, red hot Anyway.

  85. So today I want to talk about the power of the anointing.

  86. And so we see here that Jesus ministered as a man anointed by the Holy Ghost.

  87. Who anointed him?

  88. God anointed him.

  89. Well, I thought he was God.

  90. He is God, he was God, jesus is God.

  91. Jesus was God, right there.

  92. He was God, but he didn't minister on the earth.

  93. In that 33 years as God, he laid aside his deity and became as a man.

  94. He was tempted in all points, like as we are.

  95. He couldn't have been tempted as God.

  96. You can't tempt God.

  97. So he had to take upon him what Sinful flesh, his flesh, had the capacity to sin.

  98. This is where we miss it.

  99. He had the capacity to sin, otherwise he wouldn't have been tempted.

  100. If he was tempted, it would be a lie, wouldn't it?

  101. If he was incapable of sinning, then he couldn't have been tempted in all points, like as we are.

  102. Come on, I mean, it's not that hard to understand.

  103. No, jesus was a man and he ministered as a man anointed with the Holy Ghost, and he went about what Doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil.

  104. A lot of times healing comes and demons leave without anybody necessarily calling demons out of them In the anointing.

  105. The anointing can get people delivered without discerning a spirit and then casting it out.

  106. We seem to think the only way somebody can get delivered from a demon is that we've got to discern that demon and name it and cast it out.

  107. You know, jesus, he did some of that.

  108. But a lot of times people got delivered just because of the anointing.

  109. People get delivered in this congregation and I don't know anything about it.

  110. I don't need to know, because they got delivered what happened the anointing.

  111. So he laid aside his deity.

  112. He was a son of God at 12.

  113. He was a son of God at 15.

  114. He was a son of God at 19.

  115. He was a son of God at 25.

  116. He was a son of God at 29.

  117. There's no record of any miracles.

  118. Oh, they try to make that he healed a chipmunk or something.

  119. It's just a bunch of bunk.

  120. He didn't heal anything.

  121. He didn't have one miracle.

  122. The first recorded miracle was Cana of Galilee, john, chapter 2.

    John 2 chapter mention

  123. His first miracle he ever performed, and he wasn't even wanting to do it.

  124. Mama asked him to do it.

  125. He wasn't ready.

  126. He didn't.

  127. Woman, leave me alone.

  128. Woman, I'm not ready.

  129. Yeah, you're, you're, you know.

  130. Just do what he tells you to do.

  131. Mama knew how to get stuff out of him, and so when did that happen?

  132. After he went to John in the wilderness and said you know, I want you to baptize me.

  133. John said oh no, there's no way you need to baptize me.

  134. He said no, it suffered to be so.

  135. You know, I need you to baptize me.

  136. And so John baptized him in the river Jordan.

  137. And John saw the Holy Ghost come upon Jesus as a dove not a dove, but as a dove and he went off into the wilderness for 40 days to be tempted of the devil, and he answered the devil's three temptations with.

  138. It is written, and the Bible says he came back in the power of the spirit into Galilee.

  139. Well, what was that?

  140. That's when he received the power of the anointing upon him, because right after that he stood in his own hometown in Luke 4, 18 and said the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach to five different kinds of people, to minister to five different kinds of people the broke, the brokenhearted, the blind, the bound and the bruised.

  141. Everybody say five groups of people, but pretty well, takes in all of the human misery.

  142. The anointing, he's anointed me, I'm anointed.

  143. So he's basically telling the apostles don't try to do this ministry without my anointing, you're going to have to wait for it.

  144. You got saved, aubrey, they're all saved, they've got you know.

  145. 1 John 2, 27 says but the anointing in which you have received abideth in you when you got saved, you got eternal life and you have the Spirit of God living on the inside of you.

  146. The Spirit, the anointing.

  147. All of that is almost interchangeable.

  148. So the anointing the word anointing just means smearing, it means grease, and so you've been greased on the inside.

  149. What Know you not?

  150. That your body is a temple of the Holy Ghost, which you have of God and you're not your own.

  151. You've been bought with a price.

  152. Therefore, glorify God in your body and your spirit, which are God's.

  153. First Corinthians, chapter six.

  154. So we have the anointing on the inside, the anoint.

  155. Everybody say the anointing within.

  156. But you need more than that.

  157. Jesus said.

  158. You needed more than that.

  159. Jesus said no, you need the anointing upon.

  160. And the anointing upon comes when you get baptized in the Holy Ghost.

  161. So if you and I've seen people get baptized in the Holy Ghost but they never did anything for the anointing to come upon them, they had the potential.

  162. But if you don't get in the game, if you just sit around and observe and you just watch from the sidelines, well then, where?

  163. What?

  164. What's upon you?

  165. Where is it?

  166. See, listen, we've been chosen to live right now and it's time for the church to allow this anointing to come upon each individual member, to come upon each individual member.

  167. I'm not going to spend any time on that part of it because really I want to focus today on the anointing that is upon the ministry offices.

  168. But I want to take this moment to tell you that if you baptize the Holy Ghost, you have an anointing upon you and God is wanting to get you in service to where that anointing upon you and God is wanting to get you in service to where that anointing can be useful.

  169. I mean the people that teach in children's church.

  170. Every one of them are functioning on the anointing upon them.

  171. Your children are being taught by people that are anointed.

  172. They have an anointing upon them to teach these children.

  173. It's the power of God, it's miraculous power Brother Hagin talks about you know he's a Baptist boy and so when he got healed and all that he goes into the ministry he knew he was called and and he started pastoring a little community church.

  174. It was different denominations, all in one little churches.

  175. Back then they didn't have, they didn't have enough money to have a different church for everybody, so they had a community church and so he's 18 years old and he's pastoring this church and he's just a Baptist boy.

  176. But then he starts hanging out with Pentecostals and he gets the baptism of the Holy Ghost and, all of a sudden, his congregation.

  177. Oh wow, there's something different about our little preacher here.

  178. Why did?

  179. Could he preach?

  180. Well, yeah, he could preach before, but now he's got the power of the Holy Ghost upon him and when he preaches, oh my God.

  181. Well, they didn't know what it was.

  182. They're Baptists or some cases.

  183. You know, they're right, they had all kind of different people, mostly Baptists.

  184. He was a Baptist officially, but then when he got the baptism and started talking about the baptism, see, they didn't mind him teaching on healing.

  185. He knew about healing.

  186. See, even before he was filled with the Holy Ghost, he knew about healing.

  187. He knew how to get healing by faith.

  188. That was quite unusual.

  189. I'm talking about a forerunner, I'm talking about Brother Hagin was like way ahead of his time.

  190. That's why I followed him so closely.

  191. And besides, brother Osteen, brother Hagin had more impact on my anointing.

  192. See, you can pick up an anointing based on who you follow.

  193. That's why you better be careful who you follow.

  194. You can follow the wrong thing Anyway.

  195. So John 3.34, john the Baptist said that God filled Jesus with the Spirit without measure.

  196. So yeah, there's a difference in Jesus' ministry and ours, because obviously I've been anointed with the Spirit with measure.

  197. I don't know what measure it is, but it's increased.

  198. It's increased in stages over the years.

  199. It's a different anointing than I used to.

  200. That's why I don't go out of my way to try to stay connected with everybody I've known all my life because I'm moving on and some of them never did and I don't have much in common because I just kept on going.

  201. Well, you're too good.

  202. No, it's not that I just don't do a godly.

  203. There's no godly purpose for me and them to have a relationship anymore.

  204. I mean, I was here and we were together and we were friends and we gleaned and everything, and then I just kept on moving and they didn't.

  205. I'm going to hook back up with whoever it is that I need to hook up with.

  206. I'm going to find a Mark Hankins or I'm going to find a whoever that I can.

  207. And it's not that he's my daddy at all.

  208. No, we're just, but we're supernaturally connected.

  209. Iron sharpens iron, are y'all with me now?

  210. Amen, iron sharpens, iron, are y'all with me now?

  211. So the baptism of the Holy Ghost is for the ministry, it's for doing something for God, it's for serving him and really for the believer.

  212. For your purposes, the main reason that the Spirit of God comes upon you is for you to sit in the witness chair and give a witness and give a testimony about what Jesus has done for you.

  213. If you'll do that, you'll know what the anointing is like.

  214. You'll experience the anointing for yourself in ministry and, yes, god can anoint different people for different purposes in a church.

  215. Besides the fivefold I'm going to get to the fivefold in a minute I think about Brother Dwayne.

  216. You know he's been with me since the first building and he just you know he sees stuff.

  217. He prays and sees stuff.

  218. He's a seer, he's not a prophet, he doesn't try to be a prophet, he's not a prophet, but he's a believer that has a certain gifting.

  219. That I've watched over the years and I know when he emails me or tells me something, I know he's hearing from God.

  220. I've had other people try to do that and they're not.

  221. You know they just it's just baloney, it's pizza dreams, but what he's got, it always bears witness with my spirit.

  222. So I see he's a, he's a blessing.

  223. He's got the gift of exhortation.

  224. You know, sometimes he'll get up here and he doesn't even know what he's saying.

  225. He's walked up and down and giggles and you know y'all look at him like what's wrong with him.

  226. He's half drunk.

  227. He's an exhorter.

  228. He exhorts you.

  229. That's a valid ministry.

  230. I could go around the room.

  231. We've got so many wonderful gifts and anointings in this church.

  232. We wouldn't be here for 30 years if we didn't have it.

  233. But today I want to talk about the ministry gifts.

  234. Let's look at Ephesians, chapter 4.

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  235. You know, isaiah 10, 27 says the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing In the Old Testament.

  236. The only anointings that were present in the Old Testament were on the priest, the prophet and the king.

  237. Everybody say priest, prophet and king, say they just had three and the anointing was upon them to stand or to function in the office to which they were called.

  238. Trouble came when any of the three tried to intrude into the other offices.

  239. Point taken, like Saul, saul was king, anointed to be king, but he was already on his way out.

  240. He was already having trouble.

  241. He hadn't been king very long.

  242. He wasn't really God's choice, it was Israel's choice.

  243. God chose Saul because Saul was the kind of person Israel would choose.

  244. But it wasn't his choice.

  245. He said okay, you want a king, I'm gonna give you one, I'm gonna give you one that you want.

  246. And he wasn't.

  247. He wasn't a good king at all, he's terrible.

  248. He had all kind of insecurities.

  249. He disobedient, uh, just you know eventually started being plagued with demonic powers and he tried to get.

  250. He offered a sacrifice because Samuel wasn't there to meet him in a town that he was at.

  251. So he just went ahead and offered a sacrifice.

  252. How dare you?

  253. What are you doing?

  254. You can't do that.

  255. You're not a priest and God rejected him.

  256. Are y'all with me now?

  257. But in the New Testament, let's look at Ephesians, chapter four.

  258. Now we have the fivefold ministry, what we call the fivefold ministry, and I want to talk about that a little bit, because my heart is for you to take advantage of the anointing that's in this ministry to have every yoke destroyed.

  259. What is a yoke?

  260. Well, a yoke refers to a wooden harness on the back of an ox or a mule or a donkey or horse or something, and you put this wooden thing around them and you put straps on there and you hook them up to a load.

  261. I mean, a beast of burden is not going to be able to pull a load or pull a wagon or pull a burden without a yoke around its neck.

  262. And the Bible says the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

  263. And when you look down into the Hebrew it means by the swelling of the neck.

  264. The anointing comes on a person and literally that demonic yoke that the devil has yoked you with to hook you up with a burden that you can't carry, the anointing of God will come and you will receive from that anointing and that yoke just explodes, it's destroyed.

  265. It's not broken.

  266. It's not broken, the yoke isn't broken.

  267. The yoke is destroyed.

  268. It can't be put back together.

  269. The devil can't attach it to you any longer.

  270. You're loosed from that burden to you any longer.

  271. You're loosed from that burden.

  272. And then it says in Isaiah 10, 27 or, excuse me, in Zechariah 4, 6.

  273. It says he says not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord, or by my anointing, see, spirit anointing Holy Ghost, power.

  274. It's almost all connected.

  275. Not by might the word might there not by army, not by power, but by my spirit, see.

  276. It's not about the number of people.

  277. This church has never.

  278. I just assumed that this church was going to be massive.

  279. Well, it never was.

  280. But you know we do massive things.

  281. Why?

  282. Because of the anointing All right.

  283. You found Ephesians 4, verse 8.

    Ephesians 4:8

  284. Wherefore he saith.

  285. When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive.

  286. See, it's talking about Jesus raising from the dead and he made a display of the devil, led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men.

  287. The word gifts there in that verse is the Greek word doma.

  288. It means a present.

  289. Jesus, the head of the church, after the resurrection, gave presence to men Now and then parenthetically.

  290. Now, he that ascended, what is it?

  291. But he also descended, first in the lower parts of the earth, see, jesus went and preached to the spirits in prison.

  292. After the resurrection he went down there and loosed Moses and all the Old Testament saints and they went to heaven.

  293. They were locked down there in the paradise which is next to hell.

  294. They couldn't go to heaven.

  295. They weren't born again.

  296. But after Jesus, he went and appeared to them and they all knew he was a Messiah.

  297. He loosed them and let them go to heaven.

  298. So he descended.

  299. He that descended is same also that ascended up far above all heaven.

  300. See, we just read that in Acts, chapter 1.

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  301. Right after he said you've got to receive power if the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

  302. He was lifted up off the earth, he went and he's seated at the right end of the Father right now, and we're his body.

  303. We're on the earth to do greater works.

  304. And so he ascended far above all heavens that he might fulfill all things In verse 11,.

  305. And he gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors and teachers.

  306. For what purpose?

  307. For the perfecting and maturing of the saints, for the work of the ministry.

  308. When saints are matured, what do they do?

  309. They do the work of the ministry.

  310. It's not the pastor's job to do the work of the ministry.

  311. Well, what is the work of the ministry?

  312. For the edifying of the body of Christ.

  313. What does it mean?

  314. To edify, to build up?

  315. It means to get people saved.

  316. It's not my job to get people saved.

  317. It's your job to get people saved and bring them to church.

  318. It's your job, not my job.

  319. I can't get people saved.

  320. I don't have time to go out here and you know, stand on the street corner with a sandwich board.

  321. That's your job.

  322. You go around, see, it's not even effective anyway, you just go out there and you know, I know there are people that really are anointed in street ministry.

  323. I'm not against street ministry, but I see a lot of junk in street ministry.

  324. It's just a bunch of busy work and they get somebody to say the sinner's prayer and they mark them down in a notebook.

  325. Well, I got 13 people saved today in Montrose.

  326. Well, where are they?

  327. Are they still doing what they've always done in Montrose?

  328. Because they're not saved?

  329. Guess what?

  330. Oh, pastor, you're so?

  331. No, I'm talking about the anointing.

  332. My job is to fill you up to where you'll get out and edify the church, build it up Till we all come, in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect or mature man under the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

  333. Well, we're not there yet, but we're getting there.

  334. That we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the slight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie and wait to deceive, but speaking the truth and love may grow up into him in all things, which is the head even Christ.

  335. So you get the idea that the fivefold ministry the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher.

  336. We call it the five-fold ministry the number of grace, the number of fingers on my hand.

  337. I like this illustration.

  338. You know you've got your fingers on your hand, so you know you've got.

  339. The prophet points the way.

  340. He's the index finger.

  341. The evangelist, the middle finger, reaches the furthest.

  342. The evangelist goes everywhere.

  343. They don't just sit out, camp out in a church, they're going church to church.

  344. They're going city to city.

  345. They're going nation to nation.

  346. Evangelist reaches the furthest.

  347. The pastor is the ring finger.

  348. I'll do my left hand Married to the saints.

  349. Pastors, I'm married to you, I'm here.

  350. I don't not.

  351. I'm not here once a month or once a year, I'm here all the time.

  352. I'm the pastor.

  353. It took the longest to develop the pastor because I, you started with apostles, all right.

  354. The teacher is the little finger reaches into the ear.

  355. Try putting your thumb in your ear and thumb won't go in there.

  356. But the little finger will go in there Unless you, if your thumb will go in your ear, come up for prayer.

  357. I'm going to pray with you and you got the thumb, which is the apostolic.

  358. Without the thumb you can't get a grip.

  359. You can't get a grip.

  360. The thumb is so we need all five and all five have an anointing of power, an anointing of gifting, the gifts of the Spirit.

  361. In 1 Corinthians, chapter 12, is not doma, it's charis or charisma, it's Greece.

    1 Corinthians 12 chapter mention

  362. The anointing and gifts are related.

  363. I mean, there's no anointing without gifts.

  364. I manifested the gift of prophecy this morning.

  365. That was from my office, and my office that I spoke in this morning wasn't pastor, it was apostle.

  366. Well, what do you?

  367. What do you mean?

  368. Well, because God listen, the apostolic had to be present in my life for me to start this church.

  369. There's no such thing as starting a church from scratch when you're broke and you have zero money.

  370. I mean they.

  371. I just lost the last house I had built.

  372. It was foreclosed on on January, the 3rd of 1995.

  373. And by the 29th of 1995, we started this church in a 9,300 square foot building on 1960.

  374. I mean, you know, that is supernatural and that is a function of the apostolic.

  375. I don't crow about it, I don't try to say I'm an apostle.

  376. I met a kid about 25 years old one time out on the coast of Oak Ridge North, out on I-45, across from the woodlands, on the right side of the road, east side of I-45.

  377. I don't remember how I met him, but anyway he came up to me and he's a minister, you know.

  378. I said, oh, where's your minister?

  379. And he gave me his card and it's got this big long name.

  380. It took two lines for his ministry name it was Alpha and Omega, you know, outreach Center and Apostolic and Faith Warehouse and all I don't know.

  381. He was in an office warehouse is what he was in, had about six chairs in there and it said on his name and it had on there vice apostle Say.

  382. He was humble, he was not apostle, he was a vice apostle.

  383. You got those kind of wannabes, you've got these people that call themselves.

  384. See, I didn't call myself, I didn't anoint myself.

  385. Who anointed me?

  386. God anointed me.

  387. I don't brag, I'm just reporting.

  388. This is just a fact.

  389. 30 years, it's a fact.

  390. So he gave gifts unto men, presents, and these men were the fivefold and each of them have the anointing to stand in the office to which they've been called.

  391. There's a supernatural power, it's miraculous power, it's miracle power.

  392. Are y'all with me now?

  393. Often you see the ministry of the evangelist, since he's going to get people saved.

  394. Mainly his job is to get people saved, so he has all the gifts of the spirit, like the gifts of healings.

  395. You know those miracle ministry like that.

  396. We saw a lot of that during the voice of healing days where you had these big, huge tents and you had one guy that had a 22,500 seat tent.

  397. Can you imagine a tent that big?

  398. It took three 18-wheelers to haul it, no telling how many people it took to erect it to where it wouldn't blow down in a thunderstorm.

  399. I don't know.

  400. I mean you got to have faith to even walk in that place.

  401. I mean you know, if you hadn't be in Oklahoma anywhere or Kansas or anywhere, I mean I don't know if I, I think I'd skip that meeting.

  402. But great, I mean he had one service where everybody in the wheelchair 15 people in the wheelchair section got up and walked out of their wheelchair.

  403. He didn't pray for him, he didn't go over there and lay hands on them.

  404. But I say the anointing.

  405. We're coming into that place again.

  406. I'm telling you, I know it.

  407. God woke me up two weeks ago on a Wednesday morning and I'm.

  408. He let me know we've been elevated, we've been promoted, we've reached another place.

  409. We've had these before.

  410. We've had these places where God just sees the faithfulness, he sees what we're doing and he gives us a little bit more to do.

  411. And it takes the anointing to do it.

  412. Everybody say spiritual gifts.

  413. So you know, you have the anointing to preach, the anointing to teach, yeah, but then you have the anointing to pioneer and the anointing to be a trailblazer.

  414. That was part of what we did when he told me to wake up the church.

  415. You think that's pastoral, that's apostolic.

  416. He wouldn't give me an apostolic call.

  417. And when did that come?

  418. Five weeks after my father in the faith went to heaven.

  419. You mean, you got his mantle.

  420. No, I got my inheritance and I got my.

  421. And I'm telling you I just something in me settled in me Now you're a father.

  422. My father went to heaven.

  423. And I'm telling you I just something in me settled in me Now you're a father.

  424. My father went to heaven and I'm not looking for another.

  425. If I had a preacher, call me.

  426. That I knew real well, I knew him from Lakewood days.

  427. He said, john, who are you going to get hooked up with?

  428. You're looking for a father.

  429. I said, no, my father went to heaven, I'm a father.

  430. And he kind of dropped the phone.

  431. I don't think he was ready for me to say that I don't think he looked at me that way.

  432. Well, that's fine, I'm not your father, but I'm a father.

  433. We stepped into the role, we stepped into it.

  434. The anointing is there.

  435. Are you with me now?

  436. And then, of course, there's healing and deliverance.

  437. I mean just yes, you can get healed by faith.

  438. You in faith, you in God, you in the Word.

  439. I teach you how to appropriate that.

  440. But not everybody's at that level.

  441. Not everybody is able to get that for themselves.

  442. So there's still an anointing on my life for healing and you can receive from the benefit of it.

  443. It's not wrong to receive from the anointing.

  444. In fact, it's wrong not to receive from the anointing.

  445. Why do you think it's a gift?

  446. It's a present.

  447. What would you?

  448. I mean, if somebody gave you a gift?

  449. It's like I don't want that, I don't need that.

  450. I mean well, it's rude, it's crude, it's stupid.

  451. Why don't you at least open?

  452. It Might be a million dollars, it might be a gold bar, a gold bullion, who knows what it is.

  453. You just throw it away.

  454. Amen.

  455. He gave gifts.

  456. He gave me as a gift to you and everyone else that he's placed in my circle.

  457. That sounds prideful.

  458. No, it's the word, I don't have any.

  459. I have no ground to be glorified.

  460. It wasn't me, it was him.

  461. The part of me that's glorified is God's part.

  462. The anointing is God, not me, not me.

  463. And let me just say something about peculiar and special anointing.

  464. Sometimes, you know, I Jesus.

  465. Jesus taught faith.

  466. He wanted people to trust and receive by faith and that's why, you know, last week we talked about the woman with the issue of blood.

  467. Woman, go your way, your, your faith has made you whole.

  468. Didn't say my anointing, it was his anointing, but he didn't magnify that.

  469. He magnified the fact that she made a demand on the anointing.

  470. He didn't know her, he didn't know her situation, he couldn't discover who it was that touched him.

  471. He said who touched me?

  472. What are you talking about?

  473. People are thronging you.

  474. You're crowded.

  475. There are people all next to you, all around you.

  476. Not one of them, not one of them, got healed.

  477. It was the woman who made a demand by faith on his anointing and he felt virtue or power go out of him, the anointing go out of him.

  478. He knew when it left him and she knew when it came into her.

  479. She felt in her body she had been made whole of that plague.

  480. That was an instant miracle.

  481. He had a lot of those because?

  482. Why?

  483. Well, because he was filled with the spirit, without measure.

  484. I don't see that very much.

  485. Why?

  486. Because I have a measure and it's increasing and that means this church is increasing.

  487. I'm not in this thing by myself, amen, amen, but there's.

  488. You know, I remember I think it was in the Seventh-day Adventist church I had a lady that was coming to church.

  489. She had two kids.

  490. One was close to being a teenager and one was a little younger, a couple of years younger, and she just wanted another child.

  491. And they wanted child number three.

  492. They wanted child number three, wanted child number three, and I thought, well, okay, great.

  493. So she came up in the prayer line and the Holy Ghost said hit her in the stomach with your fist.

  494. And I paused, I said, uh, what I said, what I said hit her in the stomach with her fist, she'll conceive.

  495. You mean now Sheek.

  496. Well, anyway, I did what he said.

  497. I mean I hit her and she, you know, and she almost threw up and she fell out and I thought, oh God, I hope she doesn't have to go to the emergency room.

  498. And she got pregnant.

  499. She had her third child.

  500. Be careful what you pray for, pastor, might hit you in the stomach.

  501. I've slapped people across the face Now.

  502. That's not normal.

  503. Well, how about spitting in clay and making mud and slapping it on a blind man's eyes and tell him to go wash in the pool of Siloam?

  504. And he came back seeing.

  505. How about spitting on your finger and making the guy stick his tongue out and placing that spitty finger on his tongue to anoint his tongue to be loose?

  506. I mean, you know, jesus was pretty weird at times.

  507. I'm talking about strange manifestations.

  508. We're going to you.

  509. Better, get ready.

  510. I'm just getting you ready for what's happening.

  511. It's coming up.

  512. There are going to be things you can hardly explain and we're going to flow in that.

  513. I don't care who is here or who is not here, we're going to do it.

  514. We're going to do what God tells us to do.

  515. I think about brother Jack.

  516. Brother Hagen talks about brother Jack back way back in the forties, I guess it was, and he was evangelist.

  517. And what do evangelists do?

  518. Well, they go from town to town and they get people mostly get people saved.

  519. They have revivals in churches and they.

  520. That's one way the church can grow and you can impact the community.

  521. You get one of the fivefold ministry.

  522. I mean, you know, a pastor can't do everything, and so you bring these evangelists.

  523. That was normal back then.

  524. They'd bring an evangelist in and they'd have meetings.

  525. Now, this guy was a specialist.

  526. He had a very, very specialist.

  527. He had a very, very unusual anointing.

  528. He would start out up on the platform dancing and he would dance.

  529. He wasn't the Holy Ghost, he would just get up there and just start dancing.

  530. I mean, I don't know if they played music or what Didn't say.

  531. And then, after a while, of course, people would just kind of snicker, but the ones that knew stayed in the spirit.

  532. You'd have a few observers.

  533. He'd get up there and dance and all of a sudden, though, his countenance would change and his dance would change, and the Holy Ghost would fall on him, and it would fall on the entire congregation, and people would come up to the front weeping and falling across the altar, repenting of their sins, and he'd get he'd get people saved.

  534. And then, over here, he'd get people filled with the holy ghost, without anybody even laying hands on them, without even really, really not even praying any kind of a sinner's prayer.

  535. They just, they just came down and got saved.

  536. Now sure, you have to follow up with them.

  537. If, if you're a local church, you get on there and you talk to them about what just happened to them, I mean they can't explain it.

  538. I mean they don't know what in the world.

  539. This guy's dancing.

  540. I'm laughing one minute.

  541. The next thing I'm crying and I'm repenting of my sin Peculiar.

  542. Everybody say peculiar anointings.

  543. I think about throwing water.

  544. Been throwing water a long time.

  545. I kind of got away from it.

  546. Well, I got back into it last week.

  547. I'm going to do it more now.

  548. There's some things that I used to do more that I'm going to start doing more.

  549. Why?

  550. Because I started thinking about what all the things that God has anointed me to do and how he's allowed me to release the anointing over people.

  551. There's a variety of ways.

  552. It doesn't have to be just through the preaching and the teaching.

  553. That's the main thing, but it's not the only thing.

  554. And I want you the bottom line of all of this is that I want you to receive from the benefit of your association with this anointing.

  555. There ought to be a benefit for you and there is.

  556. So this anointing, this supernatural power remember, we're talking about faith, anointing and glory.

  557. I hadn't gotten into the glory yet.

  558. I was telling the staff at our Wednesday meeting and I was talking about the fact that I let the anointing pass by.

  559. That was here after worship last week and I just went right over and welcomed the live stream audience and all of that on the Facebook page and then we just got into the Word and we had a good service.

  560. But I know that I know that we missed his best and I don't want to do that again.

  561. But I told them.

  562. I remember when we would have praise and worship and angels would sing along with us.

  563. Debbie, you heard angels one Sunday, didn't you?

  564. Right here in this room, angels, they were an octave above what we were singing.

  565. Way up high, real way up high.

  566. Huh, my two angels.

  567. She said, okay, well, I'll take them.

  568. Maybe they taught me a few things.

  569. Time for Carol and Jay's angels to start singing.

  570. I'm talking about the anointing.

  571. All right, so key.

  572. I've got five things to give you, five keys to receiving.

  573. How many of you are interested in receiving from the anointing?

  574. See, it's faith too.

  575. You have to believe something.

  576. Faith is important.

  577. I mean, it was the anointing that healed that woman, but without faith she wouldn't have had it All right.

  578. Number one receive the minister in his office and believe that he's anointed.

  579. And that goes for me, it goes for my family, it goes for anybody that occupies this pulpit, any guest minister like the Hankins, anybody else that we have.

  580. We have different people come at different times and don't allow yourself to doubt, don't allow yourself to be an independent agent of judging whether somebody is worthy of your trust.

  581. If they're here, if you trust me, you trust them.

  582. If you don't, you're not going to get anything.

  583. I might not know anything about it, that's fine, but you go lacking.

  584. I mean that person might've been sent here just for you.

  585. They may have an anointing, they may have a gifting, that's perfect just for your situation.

  586. And then you are saying I don't like that, I don't know, I don't like the way he sounds.

  587. That's not pastor.

  588. I like pastor.

  589. Well, I'm here, but I'm going to get here less and less.

  590. I'm preparing you for me to be less and less.

  591. I can't keep going forever.

  592. I'm not in a hurry, I'm not retiring next week or next year.

  593. I don't have anything in mind.

  594. I just have in mind whatever transition we have, if Jesus tarries, I will be gone, whatever transition we have, if Jesus tarries, I will be gone.

  595. Call me gone, I'll be leaving.

  596. Call me gone, you'll be grieving.

  597. It's one of my first tracks that I sang 40, some odd years ago.

  598. All right, receive the minister in his office.

  599. See, relate to me in my office.

  600. Don't major on me and my personality or me, my person.

  601. Yes, I'm approachable.

  602. Yes, I shake your hand.

  603. Yes, I love you.

  604. Yes, we talk.

  605. But where you receive from me is the supernatural side, that's the God side.

  606. That's why I don't go out of my way to befriend many of you, because I don't want to mess up what God wants to do for you, because I found by experience that familiarity sometimes hinders it doesn't always, but sometimes it hinders the anointing, because when you start relating too much to the person, you miss the office.

  607. And that goes for anybody up here, goes for anybody up here.

  608. All right.

  609. And then, number two when you come to church, bring a supply of the Spirit to the service.

  610. What do I mean by that?

  611. Well, be willing, able and ready to worship God.

  612. Don't bring yourself to church with a bunch of burdens and a bunch of junk and everything, all your needs, stacked up on top of your head and you feel like, oh, if I could just get the church I need, I need, I need.

  613. Well, let's grow up a little bit.

  614. Come on, let's grow up, let's realize that we have an anointing on the inside of us and we have an anointing upon us.

  615. And when we all get together and we and everything goes up and God is worshiped in spirit and in truth, that atmosphere is conducive to the anointing.

  616. And there aren't anybody, there's nobody in here more important than anybody else.

  617. You're all important.

  618. The worship team is important, but you're just as important as they are.

  619. They just happen to be the ones leading it, but you are the participators.

  620. If you don't participate, if you just sit there, no, I'm just so.

  621. Oh, I'm gonna go up for prayer today.

  622. Okay, yep, there's gonna be time for you to receive, but first, first, come with a heart to bring a supply of the Spirit into the church.

  623. Let's come up a notch.

  624. Your need will be met.

  625. Kevin, is that you, kevin?

  626. Stand up.

  627. Kevin.

  628. Years ago, kevin, I think it might have been your first time, or early on, when y'all were sitting right back there.

  629. Was it your first time here?

  630. Or first week here, first month?

  631. So anyway, we had a Sunday night service and I mean to tell you we had I don't know, I don't remember what I did, but we flowed in the Holy ghost.

  632. We had a word of knowledge.

  633. People came up here and they got, got ministry and uh, and usually when that happens I won't have another altar call because he's already done what he's going to do under the anointing.

  634. So I don't want to dilute what he did.

  635. Then I'll just say look, you're important, your needs are important.

  636. If you haven't yet received and I try to get people to receive anyway, even if we're ministering in one area, the anointing is here you can catch a hold of that anointing for you.

  637. But anyway, I'm, I still say, and I said that night okay, if you didn't get what you needed yet and you need prayer, just stand up and people around you will touch you as a point of contact and I'll just pray.

  638. And I just prayed a general prayer and I stretched my hands out toward Kevin back there and you know, the service ended and I'm down here in the front and Kevin comes up.

  639. You can sit down, kevin, thank you.

  640. And Kevin came up front and he looked like that he had seen a UFO or something Kind of a little cross -eyed, I don't know.

  641. He said Pastor.

  642. He said I couldn't hardly walk into the church.

  643. I had something hit my heel.

  644. My heel was hurting so bad I had to walk like this all the way into church.

  645. It's been hurting the whole service and as soon as you prayed all the pain left.

  646. It's just a general prayer.

  647. Say what the anointing?

  648. He just needed a little help for me to help him direct the anointing back there.

  649. I didn't know what he had, I didn't know what he needed, but God did.

  650. Oh, come on, lift your hand right now.

  651. Woo, glory to God.

  652. Benefits keys to receiving from the anointing.

  653. Number three find a place of service to support the ministry and we need help.

  654. So be one of the helpers.

  655. Have a place here that you come to help and then that way, the anointing upon you you can utilize that, whether it's, you know, getting involved with the gate keepers or getting involved with the, the welcome ministry or hospitality.

  656. We've got so many places.

  657. We've got, you know, sound booth.

  658. We've got so many places.

  659. We've got sound booth.

  660. We've got audio visual.

  661. We've got so many children's church.

  662. We need children's church.

  663. You want the anointing?

  664. Get in children's church and just help, just help.

  665. You don't have to have a big burden.

  666. It'll be the joy of your life to help out.

  667. Nothing's forever.

  668. You don't have to have a big burden.

  669. It'll be the joy of your life to help out.

  670. Nothing's forever.

  671. You don't have to do it forever.

  672. It's a relay race.

  673. Sometimes we just need somebody to take the baton for a lap or two.

  674. Are you with me now?

  675. Oh, I tell you, when I got involved at Lakewood, I found a place of service.

  676. I started.

  677. The first thing I did was get ready for one of these big meetings.

  678. And uh, here I am.

  679. I have my own home building business, but they needed help with mowing the grass.

  680. I volunteered to come down there on a Saturday, mow the grass, and while I was there they said hey, are you?

  681. Are you, can you stay a while?

  682. We need to go over to this warehouse and pick up a bunch of metal chairs and a bunch of stuff.

  683. And I rode in the back of an open trailer, you know, about two miles down the road to this big warehouse place.

  684. It was just a massive place.

  685. They had all kinds of stuff there furniture.

  686. They had a whole bunch of metal chairs.

  687. Boy, we loaded those metal chairs in the back of that thing and we came back to Lakewood.

  688. I mean I just found something to do.

  689. I just started serving.

  690. I mean you know, I'm not too big to serve.

  691. I mean that's kind of you know, I'm a business owner, I have people working for me, but I don't mind working, I don't mind who am I working for, I'm working for Jesus.

  692. And I sowed that seed and then one thing led to another and they asked me to be a prayer partner.

  693. Seed, and then when one thing led to another and they asked me to be a prayer partner.

  694. And then when I started laying hands on people ever serviced or for healing, and going back with people who made a decision to either be saved or be filled with the Holy Ghost and minister to them, I mean my anointing upon me began to grow.

  695. Now I had a call on my life and I knew I had that call, but I wasn't in that place yet.

  696. I was not walking in that anointing.

  697. I had to start out in the beginning.

  698. So your point of service is going to add to your anointing upon you and in turn, when you come to this church, the whole church benefits.

  699. The entire church comes up higher, which is where we are right now.

  700. I want to make sure we keep going up.

  701. I don't want to go back down.

  702. Course number four bring your tithes and offerings.

  703. You don't eat at Piccadilly and pay at Luby's, eat at Luby's, pay at Luby's.

  704. You know, bring your tithe and bring offerings over and above and you'll, I'm telling you, it will affect you, can't.

  705. Well, pastor, I don't believe you can buy the no, you can't buy the anointing.

  706. But you can show that you're worthy as a person under authority, that you can say that I honor God and I honor the ministry enough to support it.

  707. Because if you don't, then you really don't have any, you really don't have any skin in the game, because your money is your life.

  708. Did you know that You've exchanged part of your life to get that money?

  709. I know that.

  710. That's why I'm very careful about what we spend money on and how we allocate it.

  711. We spend a lot of time prioritizing and we have to prioritize.

  712. We have lots of things and we just say, well, that's going to have to wait, it's going to go down here, this right here is first and this right here is the top, and this right here, so forth and so on.

  713. So we are very cognizant of where your money is, your life, and so when you don't have your life tied up in this church, well then there's not much here for you.

  714. The anointing is not going to be really, it's not going to be coming toward you, because why?

  715. You see, it's not about buying it, it's about showing God that you're serious, are you with me now?

  716. And then, lastly, make a demand by faith upon the anointing.

  717. When the anointing shows up, you say that's for me, that's for me right now, that anointing is for me right now what I'm facing.

  718. Father, thank you, you sent that special anointing.

  719. You sent that anointing for healing today.

  720. Oh yeah, they're talking about frozen shoulders, but, lord, you know I've been having trouble in this foot.

  721. Lord, I just received that anointing.

  722. The anointing of healing is here.

  723. Anyway, I'm going to take my part of that anointing.

  724. Thank you, lord.

  725. See, you can receive.

  726. Make a demand by faith on the anointing.

  727. I don't even have to know.

  728. Jesus didn't know.

  729. And the woman with the issue of blood she went home healed, after 12 years of spending all her money.

  730. It grew nothing better, but rather grew worse.

  731. Jesus didn't know her from Adam.

  732. He didn't know her at all.

  733. He didn't know her situation.

  734. She received from the anointing.

  735. Come on, lift your hands right now.

  736. Glory to God.

  737. As you're faithful to employ these actions, you will benefit greatly from the power of the anointing.

  738. Did you get anything out of this today?

  739. Come on, let's lift our hands again.

  740. Let's lift our hands again, lord.

  741. We glorify you.

  742. Hallelujah, glorify you.

  743. We glorify you.

  744. We glorify you.

  745. Cindy, is that you back there, cindy?

  746. I was thinking about Cindy and Mike.

  747. They started coming to the church and they had at that time they had a business, a machine shop, and business was bad.

  748. I don't remember how I knew that, but anyway they might have wrote a note or something.

  749. We prayed over them and I just felt led to go and see them.

  750. So I called and got them on the phone.

  751. I said I'm headed your way, give me some directions.

  752. So I got over there to their place and I wanted to pray over their business and uh, talking about water, you know throwing water.

  753. So I got over there and I talked to him, went and they gave me a tour of the shop and they'd had to lay some machinists off and he was doing all the machine work.

  754. She's working in the, you know, manning the phones and sales and dealing with customers, and I mean, you know it's tough, and I walked outside, you know, and I said, oh, we've got to clean this up, there's dead, there's blood, somebody's been murdered here.

  755. I said there's blood, someone's been murdered here.

  756. And she said, oh yeah, they both pointed right across and through these trees.

  757. Right on the other side of the road there was a railroad track and right across and through these trees, right on the other side of the road, there was a railroad track and right over there these two girls from the Heights area were cutting across late one night and I remember myself I followed that murder case all the way through to there were five gang members that got those two girls and tortured them.

  758. Very similar to right down the road here.

  759. This has been going on a long time.

  760. Folks, these illegal aliens, these people that come across the border with nothing good to bring except this kind of thing and those two precious girls, 13, 14 years old, were raped and murdered right across from their property.

  761. God, I just shiver when I think that God said cleanse the land of the blood, this innocent blood.

  762. Think of the innocent blood this country shed in abortion.

  763. Think of the innocent blood that's been shed by little girls like this Just stupid.

  764. I mean, she shouldn't have been wandering around, she wasn't.

  765. Well, they just moved from Conroe.

  766. See, they're just babes in a wood.

  767. A mother didn't know that she's moving into a ghetto and it doesn't look like one, but everything's a ghetto now because we've got these people.

  768. They're animal-like, they have no soul, they have no conscience, and Biden let them in, and Mayorkas, they should be hung.

  769. Both of them should be hung.

  770. I'm sorry I'm getting off, but we pray, we cleanse that land.

  771. And I threw the water up on that building.

  772. I released a blessing over it.

  773. You know, we pray, we cleanse that land.

  774. And I threw the water up on that building.

  775. I released the blessing over it, you know, and I mean the phone started ringing.

  776. They started getting business right after that, didn't they?

  777. Am I lying or am I telling the truth, telling the truth?

  778. She said I'm right, Okay.

  779. Well, why didn't he come and pray for my well?

  780. I'm not saying I wouldn't, I'm just saying what I, I.

  781. This is a kind of an anointing that's on my life that you can take the benefit of, and on my kids and on jay and selena and james and claire and all my family, allison.

  782. God, allison's an anointed.

  783. All of my kids I'm, ethan guy he plays the drums like.

  784. I've never heard drums played like that.

  785. Come on, lift your hands right now, lord.

  786. We thank you for the anointing that's here.
