Lift our Bibles up, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Thank you.
-
Worship team, that was beautiful, beautiful.
-
Today let's say this together Say Heavenly Father, I'm so grateful for the glory of God.
-
Your very presence is in this place.
-
Reveal to me out of your word, by your spirit, the things that I need to put in my arsenal.
-
The weapons of my warfare are not carnal, they're not natural, but they are supernatural, and I thank you for them today, in Jesus' name.
-
Well, we need some weapons, don't we?
-
And we've got them.
-
We need some ammunition, and we've got that today.
-
Alrighty, let's turn in our Bibles.
-
We've got several verses I want to read out of Romans 6.
-
First Romans, chapter 6, verse 4.
-
Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death.
-
That, like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life.
-
So here the Bible says that Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father.
-
Just think about hell and when the glory came down into hell, and what the devil and demon powers must have reacted when the glory of God went down in there and electrocuted all of them and raised Jesus out of their grip.
-
Wow, what a sight.
-
I like to think about that from time to time.
-
Romans, chapter 8, now verse 11.
Romans 8 chapter mention
-
But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.
-
So here you know.
-
The Bible says the same thing, except it says the spirit raised Christ from the dead.
-
So the spirit and the Bible says the same thing, except it says the Spirit raised Christ from the dead.
-
So the Spirit and the glory are the same thing.
-
When you talk about the glory, you're talking about the Holy Spirit, and when you talk about the Holy Spirit, you're talking about the glory, and when you talk about either one of them, you're talking about power, the power that raised the dead Glory.
-
Anybody in here need something raised from the dead Dead dreams, dead finances, dead marriages, dead, you know, I mean, you know some things that are on life support.
-
I'm telling you the glory of God.
-
All right, let's turn over to Ephesians now.
-
One, our mighty Holy Ghost.
-
I'm not going to read the whole thing, but I'm going to start with verse 19.
-
It's a Holy Ghost prayer and we're praying.
-
What is the exceeding greatness to know this?
-
What is the exceeding greatness of his power to us were who believe according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
-
Far above all principality, power, might and dominion, and every name that is named, both in this age and that which is to come, and have put all things under his feet and given him to be the head over all things to his church, which is his body, the fullness of him which filleth all in all.
-
So we're supposed to pray for the revelation of that power, the power of what, the power of the glory that raised him and set him and raised us and set us.
-
I mean, every one of you that's been born again has had an experience with the glory.
-
The glory is what brought you out of darkness into light, out of death into life, and put a brand new spirit in you and raised you up and seated you with Christ in the heavenly places.
-
Every one of us have had some experience with the glory.
-
All right, and then over in chapter 2, and I'm going to read this out of the Amplified, if you would put that up Ephesians 2, 19.
-
Praise God.
-
Put that up on the screen, because I don't have my iPhone with me.
-
There we go.
-
Therefore, you are no longer outsiders, exiles, migrants.
-
Put that up on the screen, because I don't have my iPhone with me.
-
There we go.
-
Therefore, you are no longer outsiders, exiles, migrants and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens, unless you're an illegal alien in America, in which you get all the rights of the citizens.
-
I mean, some of them are voting.
-
They didn't read this Bible like I read it.
-
But we're not like that.
-
We're not outsiders.
-
We're like that.
-
We're not outsiders, we're not migrants, we're not aliens, we're not excluded from the rights of citizens, but you now share citizenship with the saints, god's own people, consecrated and set apart for himself, and you belong to God's own household.
-
You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself the chief cornerstone in whom the whole structure is joined.
-
It's bound, it's welded together harmoniously and it continues to rise, to grow, to increase into a holy temple in the Lord, a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated and sacred to the presence of the Lord, in him and in fellowship with one another.
-
You yourselves also are being built up into this structure with a rest to form a fixed abode, a dwelling place of God in and by and through the Spirit.
-
Glory isn't that powerful.
-
So we're talking today about the glory of God and you know we've been speaking and the last is the third week.
-
The first week we talked about faith, last week the anointing, this week the glory, the three entrances into the miracle power of God.
-
We have access in three ways Faith, anointing and glory.
-
Let's all say that out loud Faith anointing and glory.
-
So we talked about the switch of faith.
-
Let's turn on the switch of the word, let's turn on the switch of praise, the switch of acting.
-
Like the Bible is true and we can have access to this miracle power without any intermediary, without anybody.
-
You know, having to go to a meeting or be in the presence of some preacher, I mean.
-
You know we can gain access and really, whatever you get by someone else's faith, you're going to have to learn to operate by faith, because the devil was taken away from so you know, I mean thank God for miracles and we believe in them and we have them.
-
But you know, the best way is for me to teach you, and I teach mostly on faith, because your faith needs to be built up so you can access this supernatural power that God has for miracles, amen.
-
And then last week we talked about the anointing.
-
Now, we're all anointed.
-
We had the anointing within when you got saved, that's when the glory of God raised you from the dead and put the presence of himself in you.
-
That's the glory we're all carrying, the glory.
-
I said we're carrying it.
-
That's the glory we're all carrying the glory.
-
I said we're carrying it.
-
That's the anointing within.
-
The word anointing means smearing.
-
So then again, anointing Holy Spirit, glory, it's all pretty much in power.
-
It's interchangeable, isn't it?
-
And so we talked about that last week.
-
But the anointing upon I wanted you to see the anointing upon, especially the five-fold ministry, because it's by knowing how to receive from the anointing upon ministry that you can get things, even when your faith is not yet built up enough.
-
We're all on different levels.
-
Some of us are babies, some of us are are inexperienced in the things of the spirit, and so you know, we're not ready yet to access what we have coming to us through the blood of Jesus by our own faith.
-
We need a little help, you know.
-
So thank God for the anointing that's upon the five-fold ministry.
-
And when you and we talked about how you can maximize your opportunity to receive you can't receive from a ministry that you criticize, you can't receive from a ministry that you doubt.
-
So Brother Hagin was, you know, jesus appeared to him one time and put his right index finger in the palm of Brother Hagin's hand, both hands like this.
-
And he said I'm giving you this gift.
-
Now You're going to have the anointing of healing in your hands.
-
And when you stand before people, before you, minister in this gift, when the Spirit of God comes upon you in this way See, he didn't just have it any time, he wanted to turn it on, he had to wait for the anointing to come on him.
-
And what would that be?
-
Well, that would be the gifts of healings.
-
And so he said when that comes upon you, then you tell the people exactly what I just did, so that they'll know that I'm the one that anointed you.
-
And see, it will stir their faith to believe, when he lays hands on them, that they will receive.
-
Well, I, just I, the Lord.
-
Well, the Lord's up there, the minister's down here and the God part is in his hands.
-
It's not idolatry, it's not a cult.
-
You're not worshiping Brother Hagin, you're not worshiping me, you're not worshiping anybody that's preaching.
-
You accept the fact that the God part, the glory part, the anointing part, is on them and you can receive from it.
-
So, faith, anointing, and now today, glory, glory.
-
We're going to talk about the glory and specifically how to receive from the glory.
-
We have the glory.
-
It's not always in full manifestation.
-
There's degrees.
-
A couple weeks ago, I told you that was the first week I got up here and we had such an anointing fall on the congregation.
-
It just came down like this and everybody that was here, I mean you remembered, I still remember it.
-
It's been two weeks ago and I made a choice to open the service and welcome the live stream audience.
-
And we're not, we're glad for the live stream audience, but really I think the Holy ghost wanted to do something else.
-
So I, as you know, I'm I'm in charge, so I took it a different direction and I mean I've been thinking about it now for two weeks.
-
I want that presence back Because we've, over the years, we've got 30 years of momentum in operating in the Holy Ghost, in the glory, in the gifts of the Spirit, in word, in the word of faith.
-
I mean, they're all valid accesses.
-
But I believe, the closer the Lord comes, we're going to be in the glory more.
-
Because, see, in faith you still have to believe and speak In the anointing.
-
You still have to believe something and you have to access it.
-
Just like the woman with the issue of blood, she accessed the anointing that was on Jesus and she was healed.
-
So her faith had had a part to play.
-
Your faith is always going to have part to play.
-
Well, you know what Our faith has got a part to play Whether the glory is going to increase in its manifestation, god always responds to hunger.
-
He responds to worship.
-
He responds to praise.
-
He responds to worship.
-
He responds to praise.
-
He responds to people who are desperate.
-
For him.
-
See, desperate has a negative connotation because people are desperate, they'll do crazy things.
-
People that are desperate, they make bad decisions.
-
No, I'm not talking about that kind of desperate, I'm talking about nothing.
-
But God is going to do Nothing, but the glory is going to satisfy me.
-
That kind of desperate is what he's supplying.
-
I'm telling you right now Amen.
-
And in the glory I mean, really there's not a whole lot of ministry has to take place.
-
I mean, nobody's got to lay hands on you, you just receive from the atmosphere that's been prophesied.
-
As long as I've been saved, and probably before that, I believe that the end days are the days when the glory is going to manifest, the glorious church.
-
God named this church Glorious Way Church.
-
I mean, this church is named glorious.
-
Why?
-
Because he wants it to be glorious.
-
That's in his will, that's his perfect will for this church to walk in the glory.
-
And, like I say, over the years we've had manifestations of the glory we talked about last week angels singing along with the worship team, and you know real high.
-
You know you could tell it wasn't us, it was mega.
-
What do they call that?
-
Mega soprano Way up there.
-
I mean, most human beings except Loretta can't sing that high.
-
Loretta can hit that note, but not very many people can hit that note.
-
And so, glory to God.
-
Come on, lift your hands right now.
-
Lord, nothing but the glory will do.
-
Everybody say nothing but the glory will do.
-
And so one of the things that I wanted to get to the reason we read the verses that we read is because the glory is not just kind of floating around the glory is really, if you really want to get down to it.
-
You know we have the anointing within each one of us.
-
We're the temples of the Holy Ghost which you have of God.
-
1 Corinthians, chapter 6.
1 Corinthians 6 chapter mention
-
But then there's the anointing upon.
-
Jesus said you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you.
-
He's talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
-
In those two instances you know Jesus with the woman at the well talked about.
-
You know living water.
-
And he said if you'd ask me, I'd give you a water that would satisfy you.
-
From now on It'll be in you a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
-
He's talking about a well of water for our personal salvation.
-
That's the anointing within.
-
That's what you got when you were born again.
-
And then in John, chapter seven, he said if any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink, and out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
-
But this spake he of the spirit which those who believe on him should receive.
-
But the spirit had not yet been given because he had not yet Jesus, had not yet been glorified, he was still before the cross.
-
So what was he talking about.
-
He's talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, which is what he talked to the disciples about right before he was lifted off into heaven and sat at the right hand of the father.
-
He said you don't leave Jerusalem until you get the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
-
You'll receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.
-
Well, what is the Holy Ghost?
-
Well, it's the glory.
-
And what is it?
-
It's power.
-
And what kind of power?
-
Miracle power.
-
Now, what is a miracle?
-
Let's define the miracle.
-
A miracle is an occurrence contrary to the established course of things, a deviation from the known laws of nature, a supernatural event.
-
See, a miracle is.
-
We need to accurately.
-
Let's not call everything a miracle.
-
Not everything that happens is a miracle.
-
Oh, it's a miracle.
-
No, it's not really a miracle.
-
See, don't cheapen true miracles by describing other really nice things as miracles.
-
They're nice occurrences, but they're not supernatural.
-
Are you with me now?
-
All right, so then, here today.
-
You know, the book of Ephesians is talking about the church as an assembly where God inhabits it.
-
It's built, and Peter talked about living stones.
-
That were all living stones.
-
You know, stones meant something to him.
-
He was Peter.
-
His name meant stones, so he had a revelation.
-
Each member of the body of Christ is a stone of the temple that's been assembled.
-
And what happens?
-
When the temple was built, I mean the glory of God came in.
-
And let's go back.
-
Let's go back, turn in your Bibles to 2 Chronicles.
-
See, he's talking about this.
-
And this is really what Book of Ephesians is referring to this 2 Chronicles, chapter 5, where Solomon's temple is dedicated.
2 Chronicles 5 chapter mention
-
And I mean they slaughtered lots of animals, they shed a lot of blood.
-
See, if you're going to have the glory, the blood has got to flow.
-
The glory is not going to show up with people who don't have a revelation of the blood, of blood.
-
See, if you're going to have the glory, the blood has got to flow.
-
The glory is not going to show up with people who don't have a revelation of the blood of Jesus and they come to church guilty and they come to church with sin in the camp.
-
Listen, get the blood on you and get rid of sin before you come in the house of the Lord.
-
I mean, it's just all you have to do by all you have to do is confess your sin.
-
He's faithful.
-
Just forgive your sin, cleanse your fault in righteousness and it's blotted out, there's no memory of it at all, and we shouldn't have this idea of coming to church to get rid of guilt.
-
No, you get rid of the guilt before you ever get in the parking lot.
-
The righteous are as bold as a lion.
-
We need boldness to come into the holy of.
-
So then it says verse 13,.
-
It came even to pass.
-
As the trumpeters and singers were as one, they were as one to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord.
-
And when they lifted up their voice not voices when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music and praised the Lord, saying For he is good and his mercy, his hesed, endureth forever, that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
-
See, I believe that that is in the Old Testament.
-
I mean, why should they have the glory in manifestation?
-
And here we've got a better covenant, found upon better promises, with better blood.
-
We've got the blood of Jesus, not the blood of goats, bulls.
-
Why in the world shouldn't we have that type of manifestation Because we don't know about it and they lost it pretty quick.
-
I mean, you know, let's face it, the glory was with him everywhere they went.
-
They had the pillar of fire by night, the cloud by day.
-
And then when, when, when Moses built the tabernacle in the wilderness and they put the Ark of the covenant behind these curtains and all of that, well then the glory kind of came inside there and so forth, and they had to pick it up and carry it from place to place out there in the wilderness, you know, and so the so God has always dwelt with his people.
-
He dwells with us.
-
It says that in the book of Ephesians I'm looking toward, we've come up into another level.
-
We've come up into another level.
-
I said we've come up into another level.
-
You know, god promotes you, god increases you, god gives you more If he sees you're faithful over something.
-
I mean, I'm telling you, promotion cometh not from the south, the east or the west.
-
God is the judge.
-
He puts down one, sets up another.
-
I'm not saying that to crow or to brag or anything.
-
I'm just reporting what he told me and I'm expecting the glory to start manifesting more and more.
-
Thank God for the faith of the saints, thank God for the, for the anointing on the ministry.
-
But I'm telling you right now, the glory of God wants to come in this place.
-
We feel it.
-
You walk in.
-
I hear this all the time from visitors.
-
You know, I felt the presence of the Lord when I came in the door.
-
What does God live in this building?
-
Well, not exactly, but angels stay here a lot and so you feel God's presence even when you're not here.
-
I mean, I feel something in here that I don't feel at Walgreens.
-
Okay, and you go to Walgreens, but you're not going to feel what we feel right here, even when you're gone.
-
And so I asked the Lord.
-
I said you know, I've been hearing this for 40 years God doesn't make living in temples made with hands.
-
Well, that's true enough, but angels come and stay around here and they carry the presence of God.
-
If you ever see one, you'll see the glory.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
So then, the glory really is the corporate anointing.
-
I said the glory really is the corporate anointing.
-
I said the glory really is the corporate anointing.
-
See, I have an anointing on my life.
-
I mean, when I lay hands on people.
-
There are giftings that God gave me.
-
They're increasing, they're getting more accurate.
-
I mean words of knowledge, were.
-
You know different things and and so I can bring a blessing to you just because of your association with me and submitting to me as your pastor and committing to this church.
-
I'm telling you there's blessings that come from that.
-
I highly recommend everybody have a pastor.
-
Not float around church to church, church to church, just going wherever the well, we just go wherever the Holy Ghost leads.
-
Well, you're a goofball.
-
The Holy Ghost isn't leading you, you're leading you.
-
The Holy Ghost is't leading you, you're leading you.
-
The Holy Ghost is not dumb and he's not.
-
He's very strategic.
-
He has a, he has an outfit for you.
-
This is your.
-
If this is your outfit, you belong here.
-
Show up here.
-
You don't go to the neighbor's house for supper.
-
You go to mama's house for supper.
-
You might get invited a time or two, but no, you don't.
-
Just, well, it's supper time.
-
I'm going to go to my neighbor's house.
-
No, you go to mama's house.
-
Right, I knew that when I was four years old.
-
I didn't go to Dominic's house, I didn't go to the Mack bride's house, I went to the grinder's house because that's where my supper is.
-
I'm out playing.
-
I've got holes in my jeans and everything else, dirt all in my fingernails and all of that.
-
I'm out.
-
Back then we used to play outside the kids don't play outside very much anymore and we didn't have play dates.
-
I mean, we didn't have play dates, we just played all day long.
-
In the summertime Smell like goats.
-
You know when you sweat like a.
-
But I knew where.
-
I knew where supper was.
-
A lot of people don't have enough sense to know that there's a place to be fed, there's a place to get blessed, there's a place to serve, there's a place to encounter the corporate anointing.
-
And so, because of the corporate anointing, still, pastor, I'm not getting it.
-
Well, it talked about how the Spirit of God is in the house of God.
-
With the saints that are there, you bring a supply of the Spirit.
-
Personally, I said this last week Don't come to church in such need that you forget about the fact that the Holy Ghost lives in you.
-
Come with a desire to worship and to praise him.
-
Come with a desire to see lives change, not only yours, but everyone else's too.
-
Get out from your own need just a little bit.
-
Pull away.
-
I'm not saying deny what you have need of.
-
I'm just saying let it come down the list and put it at the top of the list.
-
The top of the list is to praise him and worship him.
-
You just forget about all the stuff.
-
You shake it off.
-
You bring a supply of the spirit, so everyone has a supply of the spirit.
-
So when you add all of that up and then there's an anointing upon every one of you that have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you have an anointing upon you.
-
Isn't that right?
-
But when we all get together in one place now we've got a whole bunch of people let's just say 300 people filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
Each one of them got an anointing within.
-
Each one of them has an anointing upon.
-
And then, if I were to add all that up, the total is greater than the sum of the individual parts.
-
There is a synergy, there is something that happens where it is built up and the glory of God, see, is here.
-
This is the temple of the most high God.
-
He's building it, it's growing, it's coming up up, up.
-
See, I was a home builder.
-
I was a home builder for 25 years and it was kind of exciting because you know, at first stages of your home building.
-
I mean, you know what's the first stage?
-
Well, you set a bunch of boards out there and set a form, that's all there is.
-
It's boards sitting there about, you know that, high up off the ground.
-
First of all, of course, you cleared the trees off and flattened the place, and then you set a form, and so the house I'm building a house.
-
Well, how big is it?
-
Well, it's 12 inches tall.
-
And then another time goes by and they have to, you know, put the plumbing in, put the dirt in, put the steel in, pour the concrete.
-
By that time, I mean, I've spent a lot of money and a lot of time.
-
How tall is the house?
-
It's 12 inches tall.
-
But then they start putting the walls up.
-
The studs get delivered, the lumber gets delivered and you know, I come by there, you know, in a couple of days.
-
And now you know how tall is the house now?
-
Well, the house is nine foot tall.
-
They got nine foot studs sticking up, used to have eight foot studs.
-
Then I went to nine foot studs and in West U I did 10 foot studs.
-
They were luxury houses with 10 foot ceilings downstairs, nine foot ceilings upstairs, whole lot more money, so it gets a lot taller.
-
It took a long time to get a house where you really see that it's a house.
-
You got the first floor, the second floor, you know.
-
Then you got the roof and you gotta you finish it all out.
-
I mean, it takes a long time for the thing, and that's what he's talking about.
-
It rises.
-
This church has been building for 30 years.
-
It is.
-
It is risen up to hold the glory.
-
Glory to God, woo, hallelujah.
-
Thank you, jesus.
-
In Matthew 16, 18, jesus said I will build my church.
-
See, he's the builder of it, not me.
-
I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
-
How does he build it?
-
Well, right there, he's talking about revelation knowledge.
-
If we don't have revelation, knowledge of what it is that we feel because you know, gloria, you can, really you can feel it.
-
I hesitate to use the word feel because people get all emotional, but yet, at the same time, can you feel electricity?
-
Hopefully not, because if you ever felt it, you wouldn't want to feel it again, right?
-
I mean, I had an old, stubborn lawnmower that my dad insisted I use to mow the grass and it never would start.
-
I mean, I'd get out there and do everything I thought was taught to do and I'd yank on it.
-
And I'd yank on it and I'd just get so mad and well, do something with the spark plug, you know.
-
And I got over there and then I made a mistake and I had my finger on the spark plug and I did like this and I didn't pull it all the way, it just went around half of a turn Pow.
-
You don't want to get a hold of electricity.
-
It's not something you want to feel.
-
You don't want to get a hold of electricity.
-
It's not something you want to feel.
-
But the glory and manifestation can heal people without anybody laying hands on them.
-
The glory and manifestation can deliver people that are addicted to all kinds of things, addicted to drugs, addicted to anything, whatever addiction I tell you there's.
-
Lots of people go to counseling and they go through this procedure and a lot of times people can get help and they can get over this addiction.
-
They can get away from having to practice it all the time.
-
But they've got to be very, very careful.
-
You know what?
-
The anointing, the glory of God can drive it out of you to where you don't even have any temptation with it at all.
-
It's gone.
-
Thank God for what man can do, but God can do greater, he said.
-
I will build my church on the rock of revelation.
-
Knowledge and all spiritual growth is by understanding of the Word of God, and for 30 years we've been teaching on this.
-
For 30 years we've been living with the reality of the corporate anointing, which I'm pointing right down here, because this is where a lot of times it's concentrated.
-
But we're coming into a time when it's not going to be concentrated, it's just going to be all out in there.
-
You just walk in the door.
-
You know there have been people prophesied that people are going to get healed in the parking lot.
-
There's been.
-
I mean, people have prophesied that there's going to be fire on the roof and it's just a glory.
-
And they call Champions Volunteer Fire Department to roll out here and try to put out the fire.
-
Well, they're not going to be able to put the fire out.
-
Wouldn't that be a hoot?
-
Well, we've got 12 more engines coming.
-
Yeah, bring them on, brother, bring them on.
-
We're on fire around here.
-
We're on fire, fire of God.
-
Glory to God.
-
I believe it.
-
Do you?
-
So we're the temple of God here at Glorious Way Church.
-
It's a stronger manifestation of God's power and when you understand that, then you're more likely to receive.
-
When you come here You're less likely to leave the way you came.
-
It will change you.
-
I said it will change you.
-
You know.
-
In Exodus 34, 35, I talked about this when I opened the service.
-
But when Moses went up, you know, he went twice.
-
He went first for 40 days and 40 nights got the law on tablets came down and what was going on?
-
Well, they had the golden calf.
-
He was gone a long time.
-
Daddy was gone and the children played and he got so mad he threw the tablets, broke them.
-
They had a golden calf that Aaron made for them.
-
He beat the golden calf into powder, threw it in the water, made them drink it.
-
He was just livid.
-
And God wasn't happy either.
-
God said get out of my way.
-
I'll just make a.
-
I'll make a different nation.
-
Let me just go ahead and get rid of these people.
-
They just, they just don't know how to obey me.
-
And God, you can't do that.
-
I don't want to be stuck trying to explain this.
-
All the heathen are going to say that you couldn't bring them into the promised land, that it's all going to come back on you.
-
If you're going to kill them, go ahead and kill me too, because I don't want to be around here.
-
See he, that's intercession.
-
See he, he's doing what jesus did he laid down his life for people that are sinning.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
Everything in the old testament is types and shadows of.
-
Moses was a type of Jesus right there.
-
He was willing to die for them.
-
And they weren't worthy, were they?
-
No, they weren't, and God relented.
-
God listened, and so he brought him back up there another 40 days and 40 nights, I mean.
-
So that's 80 days, 80 nights, with no food, no water, I guess.
-
I mean, he's just up there in the glory and halfway up the mountain is Joshua.
-
Joshua is Moses' minister.
-
So he's up there and he comes back down and he's talking to them and they're all afraid of him.
-
Why?
-
Because the glory was on his face, his face shone and they were afraid.
-
So he put a veil over his face in order to talk with them.
-
See, I believe, and see that's Old Testament, pastor.
-
I know, if they had that in the old, what's going to happen to the church when we start having a full manifestation of the glory of God.
-
What's going to happen to your face and my face?
-
What are we going to look like when we go out?
-
We're standing in line at the Luby's when we just came out of church.
-
I mean, what's that going to do to the servers?
-
What's that going to do to the rest of the people in there when we're glowing radioactive In Mark 9, let's look at this real quick.
-
I'm talking about the glory now.
-
I'm talking about the glory as it applies to meeting your need for a miracle.
-
That's really what this is about.
-
I want to get your needs met.
-
I want the things that are wrong to get righted, and it's not by man's wisdom or man's device.
-
It's not even really so much about an anointing on a minister.
-
I believe it's the glory that's going to resolve a lot of things.
-
But we've got to have what faith we've got to.
-
We've got to be able to access it and expect it.
-
Are y'all following me?
-
So Mark, chapter 9, verse 2.
-
And after six days, jesus taketh with him Peter, james and John, leadeth them up unto a high mountain, apart by themselves, and he was transfigured before them, and his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller on earth can wipe them.
-
And Peter said Jesus, master, this is good for us to be here.
-
Let's make three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, one for Elijah.
-
And he didn't know what to say.
-
See he's in the glory, he, he didn't know what to say.
-
See he's in the glory, he's just kind of babbling on.
-
He's probably drunk.
-
He doesn't even know what he's saying.
-
He was not what to say.
-
They were sore, afraid, I guess.
-
So I mean, you see Jesus just transfigured.
-
He's bright, shining.
-
Think about Moses now, Thank you, you see shining.
-
Think about Moses now, thank you.
-
You see, that created fear.
-
Now, jesus created fear.
-
And there was a cloud that overshadowed them.
-
There you go, there's the glory cloud.
-
I've seen little wisps of clouds over the years, very, very seldom, maybe as much as three or four times.
-
I looked and am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?
-
And you keep looking, and then you just you're not sure whether you're seeing a wisp, but I believe it.
-
And in Azusa Street, thank God, somebody wrote a book interviewing the survivors, because that happened in what turn of the 20th century, 1904, something like that.
-
And a little mission in Los Angeles, california, called Azusa Street.
-
A little Pentecostal mission and really that was an outpouring of the Pentecostal revival happened right there Because speaking in tongues had dried up.
-
See revivals many times restore that which is lost, and I saw Billy said that, basically that that was the latter rain.
-
You know, in Joel, the day of Pentecost, when the 120 came out of the upper room they were speaking in other tongues.
-
On the day of Pentecost, remember, they were all in one place and one accord.
-
That's another thing.
-
We saw in the dedication temple.
-
They were in one place and one accord, that's another thing Unity.
-
So they were in one place and one accord.
-
They had one voice, not voices.
-
Unity, only the Spirit can do that.
-
In one accord, they had one voice, not voices.
-
Unity, only the Spirit can do that.
-
But anyway, getting back to the day of Pentecost, they were in one place, one accord, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of rushing mighty wind.
-
It filled all the place where they were seated and cloven tongues, like as a fire came and lit on each of them the glory cloud, the fire and the glory.
-
Moses had to see the burning bush, the fire and the glory, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
-
And so they came down and they fell on the ground and Peter standing up and the men in Jerusalem.
-
They were all amazed because they heard them speak of the wonderful works of God in their own language.
-
Now, that's not a message in tongues, because it's not a message, it's their magnifying God.
-
They're talking about the wonderful works of God.
-
So it wasn't wonderful works of God, so it wasn't the gift of tongues.
-
The gift of tongues is a message that must be interpreted by the interpretation.
-
Tongues, the two of those together equal prophecy, which is an inspired utterance in a known language from God to man.
-
So the tongues.
-
So they weren't speaking.
-
This was not a gift of the spirit, because then all those people that weren't saved would have had to have had the interpretation of tongues.
-
They didn't need the interpretation of tongues, they had a miracle of hearing.
-
See, that's what the glory did.
-
The glory came and filled them all with the Holy Ghost.
-
They came down and started speaking in tongues and a miracle of hearing went in all the ones that were listening.
-
And then Peter.
-
They said what meaneth this?
-
These men are drunken, they're drunk.
-
He said no, these men are not drunk, as you suppose, it's just nine o'clock in the morning.
-
But this is the beginning of that spoken by the prophet Joel.
-
So that was then the latter rain, the former rain, the latter rain.
-
The former rain was at the day of Pentecost.
-
The latter rain came at the day of Pentecost.
-
Yeah, Pentecostal revival.
-
I don't want to confuse you.
-
The former rain came at the day of Pentecost, 2,000 years ago, and the latter rain, really, that was the beginning of the Pentecostal revival.
-
That's when God restored the baptism of the Holy Ghost into the church.
-
Now, I'm not to say that maybe one or two people here and there might have had the gift, but it wasn't widespread.
-
No, no teaching on it at all.
-
And really the Pentecostals didn't understand it either.
-
They had all kinds of weird doctrines about it.
-
They weren't right about it.
-
It took a long time to get all the doctrine straight, but they had the experience, and that was called the latter rain, the former and the latter rain.
-
What does that mean, pat?
-
Well, God would bless Israel with the rains that they needed for a harvest.
-
You had to have the former rain to wet the soil so that when you planted the seed it would germinate, have enough residual moisture to send roots downward, shoots upward.
-
So you had to have the former rain, no more than an inch and a half, two inches.
-
Any more than that, it's too muddy to plant Any less than that and it won't grow up.
-
So it had to be right on time and the right amount.
-
That's the former rain, that's what happened at the day of Pentecost, and then, 2,000 years later, at the Pentecostal revival, was the latter rain.
-
What's the latter rain?
-
That is for the crop to bring forth fruit, and that's happened over 100 years ago now.
-
But in the book of James, the Bible says that God has long patience for the precious fruit of the earth until he received the former and the latter rain.
-
There's another rain coming.
-
It's bigger than the former rain, it's bigger than the latter rain.
-
It's the former and the latter rain together and that's going to produce the end time harvest the former and the latter rain.
-
Well, what is rain?
-
Well, peter said rain is the manifestation of the Holy Ghost.
-
Rain is the manifestation of the glory.
-
Come on, lift your hands.
-
Right now.
-
I'm telling you we're right on the edge.
-
We're right on the edge of this manifestation.
-
It's going to sweep billions of people into the kingdom of God.
-
It's not going to be a remnant.
-
Habakkuk 2.14 says the knowledge of the glory of God shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
-
It's going to be big, it's going to be widespread.
-
It's not going to be done in a corner.
-
It's not going to be done in a closet.
-
It's going to be done wide a corner.
-
It's not going to be done in a closet.
-
It's going to be done wide, open, public, and everyone will have a witness.
-
Not everybody's going to get saved, but everyone will have a witness.
-
They won't ever be able to stand before God and say I didn't know, and God say oh yes, you did.
-
I sent my glorious church on the whole earth.
-
You saw the glory, you just didn't want it.
-
Jesus said this gospel must be preached as a witness.
-
See, we're not responsible for the results, we're responsible for the message.
-
Hallelujah, glory to God.
-
So all right.
-
So we're in Mark, chapter 9.
Mark 9 chapter mention
-
He's transfigured, jesus is transfigured, just like Moses was.
-
And then they come down off the mountain and they're still questioning what does all this mean?
-
This is wild, this is crazy, wow.
-
And they're asking all these questions.
-
And verse 14, when he came to his disciples, the rest of them.
-
He had three with him and the rest of them were down the mountain.
-
He saw a great multitude about them.
-
Jesus saw a great multitude and the scribes questioning with him and straightway, all the people see, it's a multitude of people.
-
When they beheld Jesus were greatly amazed, right Well, what were they greatly amazed about?
-
He still had the glory on his face.
-
He still had the glory on his face and they were amazed.
-
They all know about Moses.
-
And here's Jesus with the glory on his face.
-
It wasn't done in a corner, it wasn't done in private.
-
It was started in private, but it went right down the hill, it went right down into the masses.
-
See this?
-
I just believe this is a type and shadow of what we're going to see.
-
Are you all with me now?
-
So we talked about in Acts, chapter 2, they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues.
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
The Spirit gave them utterance.
-
Peter started preaching and said these men are not drunk, as you suppose, but this is the beginning of that spoken by the prophet Joel.
-
And he starts preaching and 3,000 men got saved that day.
-
The glory, these are the many of them.
-
The same that said crucify him.
-
I mean I, you know, I don't know how ripe a harvest they would have looked like.
-
That's the thing about the glory.
-
The glory can make things ripen.
-
That didn't look ripe, it looks like a weed, it looked like a junk plant and all of a sudden it's just blush, it's ready to harvest.
-
Are you with me now?
-
In Acts, chapter 2, let's turn over there real quick.
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
I'm talking about you getting your needs met.
-
I'm talking about how to access the glory and what happens in the glory.
-
They had the glory in the early church.
-
Jesus manifested the glory.
-
He's called the Lord of glory.
-
God is called the father of glory.
-
I mean, my goodness, the glory belongs to the church, the glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing.
-
That's who.
-
That's what Jesus is coming back for a glorious church.
-
Acts, chapter 2,.
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
This is after 3,000 people got saved and verse 41, they gladly received his word, were baptized.
-
The same day there was added unto them about 3,000 souls, not 3,000 men, 3,000 souls and they continued steadfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship and breaking of bread and prayers and fear came upon every soul and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
-
So the glory spawned a bunch of signs and wonders and all that believed were together and they had all things common.
-
That's a miracle.
-
They're Jewish and they couldn't get along.
-
You got 10 Jews and 12 opinions.
-
I mean, they don't get along.
-
They never have gotten along.
-
And all of a sudden the glory made them in one place and one accord.
-
Are you with me now?
-
They sold their possessions and goods and part of them to all men, as every man had need.
-
A lot of people had need.
-
Men as every man had need.
-
A lot of people had need, because as soon as their relatives found out that they had followed Jesus, they were disinherited from their family, they were written out of the will Still happens today.
-
When a young man or woman gets saved in Israel and their parents are Orthodox Jews, a lot of times the parents will hire a deprogramming squad to go after them and kidnap them and, uh, get them in private and threaten them and do all kind of things to get them to deny the commitment they made.
-
I mean religion is mean man.
-
It doesn't sound anti-semitic.
-
No, I'm not anti-Semitic.
-
I love them, but they're enemies.
-
For the gospel sake, they just don't you know, they don't understand.
-
They're very afraid of Christians.
-
Well, if I were them, I would be afraid too.
-
They had to live through the Inquisition, they had to live through Hitler in the name of Christ, millions of them dying.
-
I mean, same thing happened in Russia.
-
The Russian Orthodox was right on side with Stalin.
-
I mean, quote unquote the religious Christians.
-
I'm not saying they were born again, they're just religious, they're Christian in name only.
-
They're the ones that have persecuted Jews, call them Christ killers.
-
So, yes, they are suspicious, and it makes it hard then to be helpful to them.
-
We're helpful to them, we believe in Israel, we believe in their freedom and we believe that they ought to have the help to defend themselves.
-
All right, so it says here.
-
And they sold their possessions and goods, part of them, and all men, as ever men had need.
-
In verse 46, they continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house to eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.
-
And the Lord added to the church daily, such as should be say, with all the people.
-
And the Lord added to the church daily, such as should be said.
-
So the glory then met their financial needs, their everyday needs, their fellowship needs.
-
The glory, everybody say the glory.
-
Oh, I tell you, glory to God.
-
And so then they went out and they started preaching and they got the man.
-
Peter and John got the man at the gate, beautiful, saved and healed.
-
He went walking and leaping praising God in the temple.
-
And the temple rulers were not happy and so they confronted them, brought them up before the high priest In verse 8, chapter 4, then Peter filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
Well, I thought he was already filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
See, over and over you'll see Peter filled with the Holy Ghost, this and such filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
There's many fillings.
-
There's one baptism, many fillings.
-
The problem with the church and the problem specifically with people who have been filled with the Holy Ghost is they don't stay filled.
-
So we have to what Stay filled.
-
If we want the glory, we're going to have to come to church filled.
-
We don't come to church to get filled.
-
We're filled when we come to church.
-
I'm just trying to help you.
-
I mean the days of coming to church.
-
Just, you know, hang dog, our tongue dragging the ground, just beat up hurting Pastor.
-
You just don't have any compassion.
-
I do, but I can't help.
-
I can only help you that much.
-
Wouldn't you rather be helped this much?
-
Wouldn't you rather have this much help instead of that much help?
-
Wouldn't you rather have this much help instead of that much help?
-
I mean, when we start changing our attitude about coming in this door and coming into this property and we come in filled with a holy ghost, ready to worship god in one accord.
-
No, no factions, nobody getting mad at each other, and oh, my parking place is my parking place, is my seat, this is my seat, and all of that silly stuff.
-
Look, look, let's get all that out of the way.
-
Let's get in here in one place, in one accord.
-
Let's have all the praises going up, the worship going up and watch, I double dog, dare you to come to church like that and watch the glory of God manifest?
-
He doesn't love the Jews more than he loves the church.
-
He doesn't love the book of Acts more than he loves us, amen.
-
And so he was filled with the Holy Ghost, and, and and he said and they started preaching to him.
-
You know, we can't help it, just teaching, preaching that name.
-
You do whatever you've got to do.
-
You know you're going to do.
-
You know you're going to beat us.
-
You're going to.
-
You're going to.
-
You know, treat us bad, you just go ahead.
-
We're going to keep preaching, teaching the word in the name of jesus.
-
And then they had a, a prayer meeting and they went back and rehearsed everything to the, to the group that was met in this room, and uh, and then they began to pray verse.
-
When they heard the report about the persecution, they lifted up their voice to God, say one place, one accord.
-
Their voice.
-
They lifted up in united prayer, one voice.
-
We have power hour plus and we have prayer, but I'm telling you, the Holy Ghost hears one voice.
-
We don't hear one voice, but he hears one voice.
-
We hear lots of.
-
We hear a lot of you praying in other tongues.
-
I'm praying some in tongues and praying, you know, some in my understanding, or whoever's up here leading the prayer, the particular prayer.
-
I mean we spent a lot of time praying over this nation 2016.
-
In the run up to the 2016 election.
-
We prayed a lot.
-
We did a lot of praying before Obama was elected.
-
We did a lot of praying before he was elected to his second term and it felt like God, you didn't even hear us.
-
Yeah, god heard us.
-
There's a whole lot of dumb people that didn't vote, and they're called Christians.
-
The Christians didn't show up to vote.
-
That's why we're in the mess we're in.
-
Christians haven't voted.
-
They've had this silly idea that somehow it's not worthy of them to get in, you know, to find out about what God's side you know.
-
God has a side.
-
Get on his side.
-
This is his side.
-
You've got to have a worldview that's based with a Bible, and then you vote accordingly.
-
There's no ideal candidate.
-
I'm not worshiping Trump.
-
He's the best candidate.
-
I think that was proved the other night, wasn't it?
-
Holy mackerel?
-
This guy is the president.
-
Notice, everybody's going.
-
Oh my God.
-
Well, we've been talking about it for a year.
-
Well, more than that, really, four years.
-
Anyway, all right, quit talking to me.
-
I'm not talking to you.
-
I haven't had a hard fall.
-
It's the glory Shut up.
-
You've had a hard fall?
-
No, I haven't.
-
You see Pastor talking to his wrist.
-
It's the watch that will soon be traded in on Rolex, rolexes, don't talk back.
-
All right, so where was I?
-
So then?
-
So they're praying with one voice and one accord and they start magnifying God, lord, you are God, you have made heaven and earth and the sea and all that.
-
See, they started out their prayer with God.
-
And they quote the word.
-
And then they said you know, now grant that signs and wonders may be done.
-
Give us all boldness that we will.
-
You know, preach the word with boldness and that signs and wonders will be done in the name of Jesus.
-
And that was their prayer.
-
And when they prayed, the place was shaken.
-
I want you to think about shaken.
-
What if this?
-
I mean, you know there's earthquakes, but the glory shook that place, as if to say, yeah, I heard you, you're going to go out and you're going to shake this nation, you're going to shake this, you're going to shake the whole world with this message.
-
I'm going to give you such boldness, I'm going to give you such signs and wonders and miracles that nobody will be able to say they didn't know.
-
Are you with me now?
-
Glory to God.
-
You know, I've had that.
-
When I was reading this the other day, it suddenly occurred to me that I've been preaching about Acts 16 wrong.
-
I guess I'm just lately.
-
I've been confessing my sins, but you know Acts 16, where Paul and Silas were got beaten with many stripes and thrown into the inner prison.
-
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises so loud that all the prisoners heard them, and suddenly an earthquake.
-
It says in the Bible an earthquake.
-
Well, really, the Greek.
-
It doesn't necessarily mean earthquake, it means a shaking.
-
An earthquake wouldn't just break the prison doors open.
-
It wouldn't just go in and knock their feet out of the stocks and loose their bands.
-
An earthquake would destroy the prison and also the neighboring town.
-
Everywhere.
-
I mean, an earthquake is widespread.
-
It's not just a building.
-
Nobody ever heard of an earthquake hitting a building.
-
It hits a city, it hits a region.
-
Are you with me now?
-
So I believe what happened was when they prayed and sang praises.
-
The glory shook that place.
-
It was the glory, the same glory that shook that room.
-
There's manifestations of the glory that are coming, that we're, that are just going to.
-
I'm telling you they're going to set your hair on end.
-
I mean you talk about goosebumps.
-
Your hair is going to have goosebumps.
-
I mean.
-
I mean we're going to see manifestations of God's glory.
-
Come on, lift your hands right now, lord.
-
We're not doubting.
-
We're believing, we're stirring up our faith to believe for this final move of God.
-
God's not going to do something besides you.
-
He's going to do something with you participating by faith.
-
He's going to do something with you included.
-
I mean we're just standing around doing wow.
-
No, we need to know what's going on so we can help other people get into it and receive what they need done.
-
Amen, oh, hallelujah, glory to God.
-
In Acts, chapter 12, when Peter was thrown in jail and he's got four quaternions of soldiers around him, I mean the church prayed.
Acts 12 chapter mention
-
They didn't even really know what they were praying, they just prayed.
-
And I'm telling you, the glory went out there and sent angels in there and broke him out of jail.
-
I mean amazing.
-
And then later on, you know you've got their big enemy there.
-
Herod, you know, was given a oration and wouldn't give God the glory for how good a speech he made.
-
And his angel smote him and he was eaten with worms and died.
-
See, I believe their prayer had a lot to do with that.
-
You mean, god killed him.
-
Well, the angel killed him.
-
I don't know, I'm just saying what the Bible says.
-
The angel hit him bam, you don't give God the glory here.
-
Bam, smote him.
-
An angel smote him.
-
And then he was eaten with worms, which means he had time to repent.
-
You know, the worms didn't kill him right then.
-
They had to eat a while.
-
Think about that kind of a death.
-
See, I don't know, maybe you don't meditate on the Word.
-
I meditate on it, I try to put myself there and I try to be a eyewitness to Herod being eaten with worms.
-
And I knew he had time to repent.
-
All he had to do is oh God, I'm sorry, I've been wrong.
-
All this time there's no record, no record of him repenting.
-
I tell you, our prayers avail much because the glory is involved in them.
-
We're in our 30th year.
-
There's been constant growth, maybe not numbers, but constant growth in the spirit, constant growth in our approach to God, getting closer to God all the time.
-
And each stone of this temple, each stone, is important.
-
Each stone is a living stone, each stone has an anointing within and an anointing upon, and when these stones get together, the total power is greater than the sum of the individual parts, is greater than the sum of the individual parts.
-
There is a great, great advantage to us praying together, playing together, fellowshipping, breaking bread, having a barbecue.
-
It's great, there's great benefit in it and I'm telling you, I believe God has built this church for this day, amen.
-
In John 11, there again the glory and resurrection are together.
-
How is the church going to be resurrected and raptured if it isn't by the glory?
-
I mean, the glory is going to do it right.
-
Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father.
-
How is the body going to have a brand new body and be taken off of the earth if it isn't for the glory?
-
The glory is going to come, isn't it?
-
But in John 11, you know, lazarus was sick unto death and Martha and Mary sent for Jesus and Jesus waited four more days.
-
He didn't go right.
-
Then he waited four more days and he gets there and he said oh, lazarus is dead, he's in the tomb.
-
Oh, jesus, if you'd just been here, my brother would not have died.
-
And he said, mary, didn't I tell you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God.
-
And then he called to him Lazarus, come forth.
-
And he came forth, bound, see, he bounded the grave closed, but he came forth.
-
They had to unwrap, so there was a man would side that had to loose him from his grave clothes, but the glory loosed him from the pangs of death after four days.
-
Hallelujah, and I'm telling you, I believe that if we believe that the glory is coming in greater manifestation, we're going to see the glory of God in greater manifestation.
-
Amen.
-
Come on, lift your hands and receive.
-
Today, everybody say the glory is coming and greater manifestation.
-
When it comes, I'm going to know what's going on, I'm going to know how to receive and I'm going to know how to help others receive.
-
Come on, let's lift our voices, give the Lord a big shout of praise.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
