The Joy Of The Lord - Mark Hankins

Romans 14, 17,.

Let me give you a couple of scriptures.

And the joy of the Lord makes you strong.

So if you lose your joy, come on.

If you lose your joy, actually the joy of the Lord makes you look younger.

So I go dance with the young people.

Now I jump around there and say I go dance with the young people.

Man, jump around there and say I ain't getting old and ugly.

Hallelujah, amen.

If you keep dancing, it makes you better looking.

Oh, she's 82.

Wow, man, that's a blessing.

Wow, we all need to be more like you.

Praise the Lord 82.

But it'll make you stay young if you'll stay happy.

You don't want to get old and bitter, sad and ugly.

We know when you're happy you are better looking, makes you more attractive.

When you're happy, look at somebody and say you might consider that.

So Romans 14, 17,.

That's the song Trenton was singing.

It was written by a friend of ours in Australia and the verse says the kingdom of God and to know the Lord, to know God, to walk with God.

Many teachings in Matthew, mark, luke and John about the kingdom of God.

The apostle Paul teaches on the kingdom of God and then here he says the kingdom of God is made up of three main ingredients.

One is righteousness, or Paul would call it the gift of righteousness.

That he says you reign as a king in life through the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.

So you've got to receive the gift of righteousness and receive the abundance of God's grace.

And then he said you will reign like a king in life.

So he lists these three things as essential ingredients in the kingdom of God.

One is righteousness, or the gift of righteousness, and the second one is the peace of God, so that you're not worried and upset.

Peace with God and peace in your own heart and your own mind, not disturbed, frustrated.

Then the last one he lists is called joy in the Holy Ghost.

So I'm a.

I call the last one joy in the Holy Ghost, I call it kingdom culture.

Kingdom culture, in other words, god's culture, is different than man's culture, amen.

So when you're in the family of God, you don't want to just keep following your natural family's culture, you want to follow God's family's culture.

So he says kingdom culture is this thing called joy in the Holy Ghost, which is really supernatural joy.

Supernatural you can't even explain it, but there's a joy on the inside of you that, no matter what's happening around you, you have that joy in the Holy Ghost, amen.

And so I think it actually helps you to go ahead and declare that even if you can't sing you know, you know, and I used to pray I could sing until I heard you, then I started praying, you could sing.

I could sing until I heard you, then I started praying, you could sing.

But Even if you can't sing or you'd have a beautiful voice, then while you're in your car, come on.

Tomorrow Are you in your house?

Come on, just sing that song.

I've got the joy of the Holy Ghost, supernatural joy, and that joy is number one, a demonstration of the triumph of Christ.

In other words, jesus victories your victory.

So when you're living by faith, you're never fighting for victory, you're fighting from victory.

In other words, you take your place in Christ, far above seated with him, and you live in his victory.

So your triumph, which is a celebration All right, let's try it again your celebration is a demonstration of your expectation Amen.

You're expecting, whatever the enemy meant for evil, god's turning it around for your good.

Amen that he turns your sorrow or your mourning.

He turns it into dancing.

How many believe God can turn those kind of things in your life.

And then Isaiah 53, where it talks about Jesus on the cross, that it says surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrow.

And we know in the Hebrew, actually those words include our sicknesses and our pain, our disease.

Surely he has borne our.

But it also includes our grief, things that make us sad, and our sorrows Come on, your disappointments, things that have made you sad.

Surely Jesus has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.

And the word born there is really the word NASA.

It's a Hebrew word, nasa, which is where we get the American space program NASA, and the word NASA means what Anybody know.

Word NASA, hebrew word NASA, n-a-s-a.

That's why it's called NASA.

It means to lift off and it means to lift off and carry to a far distance.

So what happened on the cross is Jesus has borne our griefs, our sorrows, and lifted them off from us and carried it far away.

You ought to just thank the Lord for that.

Come on, come on things that looked too difficult for you and sometimes people think how can I ever really be happy again?

And yet somehow the blood of Jesus and what happened on the cross, and by his stripes we are healed.

Surely he has borne, lifted it from us and that is administered to you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost, amen.

And so if you were in the Bible days, you know when Jesus was on the earth, then if you wanted to be healed, then many of them just said I need to touch him to be healed.

And everybody that touched him they said God healed the one with issue of blood, a lot of people around him.

But she had faith and when she touched him, power went into her.

So now in the New Covenant, jesus, raised from the dead seeds, the right hand of God, sent the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

So if you want to touch from Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit, let's try that again.

I said if you want to just have a touch from Jesus, like they did, how many ever you're like, well, I need a touch from Jesus and really don't even take a hug.

Just one touch from Jesus, and disease has to leave and sorrow and pain has to leave.

Just one touch.

I mean you don't need them have an appointment.

You just touched him and bam, power went into change the whole life.

And so when you say I just need a touch from Jesus.

Well, you get that touch in the New Testament by being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Are you get that touch by what?

Or you get that touch by what?

Yielding to the Holy Spirit because he lives in you and being filled with the Holy Spirit and that anointing flows, same power that's in Christ comes to us by the person of the Holy Spirit.

Woo y'all, they get happy already.

Come on.

So your help is close, man.

You know, back in the Bible days they had to travel to find him.

Come on, but he lives on the inside of you.

So all you need is to say Holy Spirit, I know you're in there, man, praise the Lord, so you would go from.

The kingdom of God is righteous peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

And then CS Lewis gave one of my favorite quotes and he says that joy is the serious business of heaven.

So when I saw that I wrote it down, I thought why you just can't say it any better than that joy is the serious business of heaven.

All right, let's try this side over here.

Joy in the Holy Ghost is serious business.

In other words, anytime heaven is taking care of serious business concerning your future, concerning your life, concerning your health, concerning your healing.

Come on, concerning your destiny.

Come on in the enemy's trying to block your destiny and come on, block your progress.

Then, in the, in the middle of that, the Holy Spirit will come on, begin to work in you and that joy Will help you take care of serious business.

So to the natural man this isn't the natural man.

Listen the natural man.

You come to a church and people are full of joy and they're rejoicing and praising and some people are laughing and some people are dancing and running.

It makes absolutely no sense to the natural man.

They don't understand kingdom culture.

So they're like what is it?

So the natural man?

Either it looks silly or it looks foolish and they think, oh, what's the use of those people up there praising and laughing and jumping up and down?

But it's really serious business.

So instead of you thinking it's just a silly thing when people are rejoicing, you say, well, seems like God is going gonna take care of some serious business in their life.

Come on, god's gonna take care of some serious business, huh?

So you want to look at somebody next to you and say, excuse me, but I need to take care of some serious business and I hope I don't hurt you, you know or?

I sure don't want to embarrass you, but I didn't come to church just to look at you.

I came to church to take care of some serious business.

In other words, I'm expecting God to do things that are exceeding abundantly.

Above all, I can even ask a thing.

So excuse me if I have to rejoice a while and praise a while and shout a while and dance a while.

I gotta take care of some serious business.

I believe God has a destiny, he has a plan for your life and the devil's done everything he can to try to stop it.

Come on, but God's will will prevail in your life.

Excuse me, I need to take care of serious business right now.

So excuse me if I gotta dance a while.

Excuse me if I gotta laugh a while.

Woo Woo, come on, don't let me interrupt you if you need to take care of some serious business.

You say what's happening?

Come on, I'm receiving my healing.

Mountains are gonna move.

I'm strong in the Lord.

Don't let your body tell you how you are.

You tell your body how he's doing.

I love what Dad Hagin said.

And he worked hard for the Lord for 65 years, went to heaven when he was 86.

But man, he worked so hard for the whole body of Christ.

And so he said what I do is I say to myself I feel great, I feel fine Now getting line.

All right, let's try that one more time.

Huh, he, who's in charge here?

Not the body.

The body ain't in charge.

Come on, the inner man's in charge.

Is the spirits in charge here.

Come on, the Holy Ghost in charge here.

So he said.

He said I feel great, I feel fine Now, body, get in line.

Come on, because you start moving, your body goes.

I don't want to be, I'm tired, I don't feel good, I'm lazy, I just want to lay down.

I want to go to church, I want to sit in the recliner.

I know some of y'all are watching me right now.

That's what your body told you.

Come on, don't let your body be in charge of your life.

Come on, you tell your body what to do.

You say Don't let your body tell you how weak it is, hello.

You say body be strong, go ahead and just laugh every minute.

Say body be strong, I mean you could be on vacation for two weeks and the next day your body it's a I'm tired.

You say shut up.

You've been on vacation for two weeks and now you tell me you're tired.

I'm strong Spiritually.

My mother's favorite Psalm is Psalm 27.

Y'all know Psalm 27,.

That's my mama's favorite.

So I grew up you don't hear my mama quote Psalm 27, right?

My mom always say I, in the name of Jesus, I plead the blood.

I plead the blood.

Come on bad stuff trying to happen or thoughts, or your family, I plead the blood.

And then she would say Psalm 27 the Lord is my light.

Now, the difference is sometimes people say, well, I believe that, but it's not enough to believe it.

Jesus said you're going to have to say it.

So my mama didn't just believe it, she's saying it.

Y'all ready.

Because it becomes powerful when it comes out of your mouth, out of your voice.

She'll say the Lord is my light.

Come on, y'all Repeat after me the Lord is my light and my salvation.

Whom shall I fear?

Repeat after me the Lord is my life and my salvation.

Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life.

Of whom shall I be afraid?

I am strong in the Lord.

I'm strong in the Lord.

I'm strong spiritually.

My mind is strong.

Come on, I'm sharp.

I'm sharp.

My mind is sharp.

Come on, I'm mentally sharp.

Baby, you ain't gonna get one by on me because my mind is sharp.

Yeah, my spirit is sharp, strong, my mind is strong.

My mind is strong.

My emotions are strong.

What does that mean?

When I face things, I don't collapse.

Come on, I'm not an emotional pile of junk.

Come on, I'm strong.

My spirit is strong, my mind.

Come on.

Don't sit around and act like your brain did half the time.

Y'all, please pray for me right now.

But we stayed in the hotel I'm not going to say which one, and that'll be the last time we stay there, I can tell you that.

But anyway, I don't know.

Anyway, I'm not sure why.

He's trying to save money, I think, but he put me in this hotel and I know they said they would keep the light on for me, but they wouldn't keep the air conditioner on for me.

I can tell you that.

So the air conditioner don't work and you're hot in there sweating all afternoon.

Come on, and then they've got these people that work the front desk and you get paid hourly right, minimum wage, you know.

And they said not the front desk.

You know their mouth hanging open.

I said put your tongue back in your mouth.

I said, no, you ask him a question?

Oh, I don't know, sam, air conditioner ain't working well, it's hot outside, that's the point.

It's supposed to be cold inside.

You think that I thought y'all just hired brain dead people here?

Come on, huh, you can play a minimum wage.

Too much of brain dead.

People don't want to do nothing because they're only getting whatever minimum wage is and they're gonna be stuck at that for the next 50 years unless something happens from Jesus.

Come on.

So I want to shake them and say what's about it with you?

Anyhow, you got a brain, use it.

How many believe God gave you a strong mind?

Come on, you ain't lazy, you ain't a piece of trash.

You ain't even minimum wage material.

God's got a plan for you.

He wants you to own the hotel man.

Come on when you got the holy ghost.

It changes your whole life, hey, and so this joy in the Holy Ghost.

Come on, so it says, when Jesus bore our griefs and carried our sorrow, come on.

Yet we did esteem him, stricken, smitten of God inflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities and the chastisement of our peace was on him.

That's it.

And by his stripes somebody ought to get happy.

I said by his stripes.

I said by his stripes, by his stripes, we are healed.

We are healed.

Woo, come on, we ain't gonna stay sick.

Come on, we're not gonna stay wounded, we're not gonna stay broken.

Jesus makes us well.

There's joy in the Holy Ghost.

You get filled with the Holy Ghost, you get full of joy, hey man, that joy in the Holy Ghost.

So here's what Jesus said about the Holy Spirit, talking about Jesus teaching about the Holy Spirit in John 14, 15, 16.

Really, three phenomenal chapters where Jesus is just telling the disciples you need the Holy Spirit.

Here's what he's gonna do and when he come he's gonna move on the inside of you and he's gonna be in you forever.

So Jesus is preparing them to receive the Holy Spirit.

Listen now and learn how To let the Holy Spirit help them.

He's gonna be your comforter, but that word is helper, strengthener.

As a helper, he's a helper.

So Jesus looked at us and said you're gonna need some help.

How many ever looked to my go?

You know they need some help.

You're gonna need professional help.

You need some professional help.

You say, well, jesus gave me some help.

He gave me the Holy Ghost.

He gave me some professional help.

Come on, he's my helper.

Amen.

He's my strengthener.

Come on, if he's your strengthener, let him strengthen you.

He's my strengthener.

He's my intercessor.

He's my advocate.

Come on, he's my strengthener.

He's my intercessor.

He's my advocate.

Come on, he's my standby.

He's the greater one that lives on the inside of me.

Come on, he's the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead and he lives on the inside of me.

Come on Now, learn how to let him loose.

I said learn how to let him loose, right, so use your faith.

You say Holy Ghost, I know you're in there, I'm fixing to let you loose right now Because I got a problem too big for me but it ain't too big for you, so I'm fixing to let you loose.

I'm going to let him loose.

So a lot of churches, they say they like the Holy Spirit, but they don't want to let him loose, because if they ever let him loose, I mean church is going to go past noon.

If you ever let the Holy Ghost loose, it's hard to get him back in the box, man, when he gets out.

Why?

Because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is such liberty and freedom and people start rejoicing and getting so full of joy, come on, and full of victory.

So Jesus said here's what the Holy Spirit's gonna do.

Y'all ready for this?

He said he's gonna take I like this part first, though.

He said when he moves into you, that day you're gonna know that I'm in the Father, you are in me and I am in you.

Well, that's pretty phenomenal, isn't?

It's pretty phenomenal, jesus, when the Holy Spirit moves in.

You're gonna know, or be conscious, that Jesus and the Father is one.

He said I am in the Father.

Then he said and you are in me and I am in you.

All right, let's try that again.

Come on, you get filled the Holy Spirit.

You're gonna know what Jesus and the Father God are one.

Come on, you and Jesus are one.

Come on, he's in you, he's in God, god's in you.

Come on, and you're in Christ and Christ is in you.

In other words, when you're filled with the Holy Ghost, he makes you God conscious.

Whoo, he moves on the inside.

Now here's what else Jesus said about it he's at the Holy Spirit, john 16.

He's gonna take what is mine and show it to you.

He's gonna show it to you now if you have some other translations.

King James says show it to you.

Holy Spirit says hey, you know me, show you something.

A Lot of times, even when you're reading the Bible, the Holy Ghost say you I'm gonna show you something Now.

If you just keep reading with your peanut brain, you're gonna see nothing.

But you say you know.

One guy said I read the Bible in the Hebrew.

Another guy I read it.

It in greek.

Another guy said I read it in the holy ghost.

So the holy ghost say I'm going to show you something.

So he said I want to take everything, everything.

The holy ghost is going to take everything that god has done for you in Christ and show it to you now.

If you have other translations, it says what show it are communicated.

That means the Holy Ghost is a great communicator.

I mean he can even talk redneck.

He can talk gangster.

He can talk every language in the world.

Yeah, ebonics, come on, he can talk Bubba stuff.

I mean he can talk whatever the Holy Ghost can communicate to you.

I said the Holy Ghost to get right where you live and tell you exactly what God has done for you in Christ and who you are in Christ and what belongs to you.

And he's gonna Communicate it to you.

And even if you're a slow learner, he's gonna work with you till you get it.

Come on, look at somebody, say don't give up.

So even if you're a slow learner, the Holy Ghost is gonna keep working with you until you go.

Oh, that's what you trying to tell me.

Oh, that's what you're trying to tell me.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost, amen.

So he's going to communicate it to you.

Other translations say he's going to communicate it or transmit it to you.

All right, let's say it this way the Holy Spirit, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Where is he?

Well, he lives in you, amen.

And he is assigned to your progress and he lives in you.

Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

So just talk to him.

You know, look in the mirror.

Come on in the morning, look in the mirror and say Holy Ghost, I know you're in there.

Don't act like you're not in there, because I know you're in there.

I don't feel nothing right now, but I know you're in there.

I don't feel nothing right now, but I know you're in there.

So don't act like I don't know you're in there.

Holy Spirit, I need you to help me.

You're my helper.

I need help.

You know I need help.

You know it.

A lot of other people know it and I do need help and he's your strengthener, amen.

So the Holy Spirit takes what Christ has done for us and translates that into personal victory.

You said why do you say that?

Because without the Holy Spirit, you can know a lot of scriptures and have a lot of doctrine, a lot of theology and still not have any personal victory.

But the moment the Holy Spirit hits you, then everything Christ has done for you and what he is doing for you now at the right hand of God, the Holy Spirit hits you, then everything Christ has done for you and what he is doing for you now at the right hand of God, the Holy Spirit translates that into personal victory.

Or he makes it real to you or he makes it a reality on the inside of you.

In other words, your salvation, your victory, your blessing is a reality, not just a theology.

That means I'm taking it home, baby, I'm living this out on Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday.

He translates that into my personal victory so that you can win in your mind, win in your body, win in your finances, win in your family, win in your life.

Because the Holy Ghost, come on, put some, put some heat on him.

Say Holy Ghost, man, he'll help you pray in a supernatural language you never learn and make intercession.

Whoa, go ahead and just laugh for a minute.

I'm not gonna preach them.

I got a drive to Louisiana.

So Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

I got the joy of the Holy Ghost.

I got the joy of the Holy Ghost.

I got the joy, okay, okay, just a little bit more.

Let me give you a little bit more.

Can y'all take a little bit more?

I don't want you to overdose or nothing, just a little bit more.

Some of y'all got a DD, designated driver, right?

Is that a DD?

She said she had a DD.

She was a DD.

I wasn't sure what a DD was, but I think it means designated driver.

You might need that for church.

You might need a DD.

So one of y'all choose not to get drunk.

So William Barclay says this about the person of the Holy Spirit Y'all wanna listen to somebody that knows Greek and Hebrew and Shibu and homebrew and all that.

So he says this word for the Holy Spirit.

The paraclete says he is the one who's calling to help in a situation with which a man by himself cannot cope.

One more he says the Holy Spirit brings you the kind of strength in distress that will keep a man on his feet when, left to himself, he would collapse.

This is the Holy Spirit here.

He lives inside of you.

Let him loose, come you.

Let him loose, come on.

Let him help you so he will keep you on your feet.

When you have left to yourself, you would just collapse.

He said the Holy Spirit brings the kind of strength which enables a man to pass the breaking point and not to break.

To pass the breaking point and not to break.

In other words, you go through a situation in your life that everybody around you thinks you could have and should have had a nervous breakdown.

But you passed that breaking point and you did not break.

You did not collapse, you did not have a breakdown because you had a strength in your spirit man, in your inner man, that kept you from collapsing when everybody else would have quit and given up.

But the Holy Ghost helped you.

I said the Holy Ghost helped you.

Come on, he strengthened you.

Woo, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Woo, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Woo, woo, it's the Holy Ghost.

He'll just prompt you.

He don't make you do nothing, he's your helper.

He'll just prompt you.

He knows protocol, he knows how to win the case, so he'll tell you how to act if you want to win.

Amen, thank God for the Holy Ghost.

I mean, if he made you do stuff, he gonna make you rejoice.

Anyone gonna make you laugh.

He ain't gonna come down and tickle you.

We know he don't make people pay their tithes.

I Mean over across the board Christians, born-again Christians, come on.

Less than 10% born-again Christians even tithe.

I'm talking about the churches across America and you can teach on it until you turn blue in the face and they go.

So the Holy Ghost ain't going to make you tithe.

He ain't going to make you rejoice.

He ain't going to make you laugh.

He ain't gonna make you rejoice.

He ain't gonna make you laugh.

He ain't gonna make you pray.

He might prompt you, he might say you need to laugh about that and you're like I don't feel like it, I ain't laughing.

He ain't make me laugh.

Why would the Holy Ghost want you to count it all?

Joy, come on.

Why would the Holy Ghost say, yet believing, come on first, peter, chapter one.

Yet believing, you, rejoice with joy, unspeakable and full of glory.

He said that joy is a container for the glory of God.

So why would the Holy Ghost saying you need to rejoice right now?

Why would the Apostle Paul say rejoice in the Lord.

Always and again, I say rejoice.

You say well, well, when do I need to do that?

Somebody said what time is it?

It's a good time to rejoice right now.

In other words, your joy is what Serious business?

Serious business.

So Dad Hagen had Holy Ghost meetings.

So I went to Holy Ghost meetings with him for about 15 years.

In those Holy Ghost meetings he said when that anointing comes, this, this move of the Holy Spirit, he said one of the great manifestations will be joy.

He said so.

When that anointing come, he said then sometimes I walk around.

If the anointing strong enough, then I just get close to you.

If you'll receive it, that joy, that anointing a gentleman, he said, are sometimes I lay hands on people or sometimes he just kind of tap you in the head.

He said if you will receive that anointing, it's the anointing that does the work.

Come on, the preacher ain't doing the work.

The preacher is trying to help you receive the anointing.

Amen, if you'll receive that anointing and mix faith with that anointing.

He said joy, the oil of joy.

Or he said you might just start laughing.

Just laugh, isn't that funny?

Well, that's a part of the kingdom of God in it.

So he said you just start laughing.

Joy.

Everybody say joy.

So he said you start laughing are?

He said some people will start dancing and sometimes dad Hagen would dance, and you can't dance like you used to when you're young.

But you can scoot.

You, I tell people, just scoot around a little bit, shake it to the east and the west or do something.

In other words, you got to dance with who brung you?

Right, if the Lord brung you, you're dancing, so you're dancing or rejoicing.

And the Lord said this you, you're dancing, so you're dancing or rejoicing.

And the Lord said this to me in those meetings.

He said, while you're rejoicing here, something is happening back at your house.

And so I'd go to those meetings, and I went to a bunch of them.

So he'd come out.

I got to where I got so blessed.

He'd just come around and tap you in the head and say be blessed.

And that anointing, come on me.

And I'd start laughing, I fall out in the floor, I go running or jumping or something, amen.

And then I'd go home and blessing would increase, supernatural blessing.

My finances would start doubling and increasing, just so double.

I got so blessed I could bring $10,000 every offering Ever off.

Come on, they got to where they're saving me a seat.

Come on, here comes somebody ain't broke how to leave and so so the blessing of the law, the blessing of the Lord.

So I'd go back to the next meeting.

I'd say, hit me, baby, one more time.

So hit me in the head.

And the blessing of the Lord.

I believe in the power of the anointing.

I believe in the blessing of the Lord.

I'm going to mix faith with that.

I believe the anointing of the Holy Ghost can take care of some serious business.

That means whatever's been trying to block your blessing and block your increase, that thing's gotta be getting.

Get out of the way.

Move, ha ha ha.

Go ahead and laugh a few more minutes.

And some people say, well, I'm just believing God.

So well, if you get an uglier face, we know you're really serious.

No, when, when you're believing God, don't look like that.

Here's the way I'm believing God.

And so the psalmist David said the Lord will anoint me with fresh oil, fresh oil.

Why fresh oil?

Well, fresh anointing fresh, blessing new strength, fresh oil.

What does that mean?

You just need an oil change.

Some of y'all your oil's all gunked up, you know, and that's why your motor don't run right.

But if you get fresh oil, that anointing Amen, your motor don't run right.

But if you get fresh oil, that anointing Amen, amen, you get a fresh oil.

Whoa, I mean the Lord, turn in my situation.

Glory to God.

Ha ha ha.

Hey, man, quickening my body right now.

Come on, whoa, come on making you Quickening my body right now.

Come on, woo, come on Making you better looking.

Hallelujah, keep you young, praise the Lord.

I said keep you young, hallelujah, keep you strong.

Listen, if you love Jesus, you have to love the Holy Ghost.

You can't be any closer to Jesus than you're yielded to the Holy Ghost.

So Dad Hagin said the world needs to be taught to receive Jesus, but the church needs to be taught to receive the Holy Ghost.

Come on now, because if you're not taught?

You don't know.

You're just like Sit around, you know, with your tongue hanging out, listen.

But when you're filled with the Holy Ghost, woo.

And the Bible says get filled and filled again.

You know why you gotta be filled again Because you leak, you know.

That's why you filled and filled again.

You know why you gotta be filled again Because you leak.

You know that's why you gotta be filled again.

You leak.

It ain't enough to be filled on Sunday.

Just stay filled, stir up the gift of God that's on the inside of you.

Ha, ha ha.

So I went to 15 years of those meetings and then one of the last ones I went to in St Louis in 1997.

And so Dad Hagen got up that meeting because I'd been there for two weeks but I'd always fly in on Monday and fly out on Friday, because I had to get back to my church and I had to get back home and I'd fly back Monday, fly back on Friday.

So Dad Hagen got up Thursday night and said if I was you I wouldn't leave tomorrow.

Well, I was just sitting there, I already got my flight plans and everything.

But he said if I was you I wouldn't leave tomorrow.

I'm like, well, I might as well change my plan.

Look, somebody said you, I changed some of my plans, right, I'd rather have God's plans instead of my plans, amen?

So I just called the airline and said you know, I'm changing my flight.

So I stayed on Friday night and Dad Hagan got up and read from Numbers 27.

Y'all know Number 27?

What number 27?

It says that Moses laid his hands on Joshua and Placed some of his honor upon him.

In other words, a change there of leadership.

And when Moses laid his hands on Joshua, some honor came on him and it affected Joshua's leadership.

So dad Hagan said I'm gonna lay hands on you, come on myself and other pastors.

I'm gonna lay hands on you.

Come on myself and other pastors.

I'm going to lay hands on you and you're going to carry the fire and carry the glow.

Now, if you were here this morning, I have just as much fun teaching on faith or teaching the word man.

The word works, so I put the word first.

But there are times that you need to have a Holy Ghost meeting.

Our people don't know nothing about the Holy Ghost.

Let's try that, come on.

They know a lot of scriptures, they don't know nothing about the Holy Ghost.

I mean, the difference is you go from just the scripture.

When you get the Holy Ghost, you get lit and you can tell some people got a lot of Bible knowledge but they ain't lit.

You need to like that thing, baby, come on.

You ever take your car to the mechanic and he says it turns over, he's got all the equipment.

He says it ain't got no fire.

That's the way some people are better.

He says it ain't got no fire.

You need to get lit, man.

You get filled with the Holy Ghost, man, he'll light you up.

Hallelujah Ha, man, he'll light you up.

Hallelujah Ha ha ha.

So he said you need to carry that fire.

So that means, like tonight, if the Lord says I want you to just let the Holy Ghost work tonight, so then I just let him work.

And then I usually walk around and slap a few people.

Some of y'all need a good slap.

I can tell you that I don't slap people hard.

That just sounds funny, right, but I don't slap people, I just tap them.

Dad Hagen would just kind of tap you in the head, but sometimes it seemed like it felt like a slap and then he had a ring and he hit you in the head with a ring.

Man, I think I got a knot on my head, but I sure am blessed.

Hallelujah, I got blessed.

Then sometimes we didn't have no catchers.

I'd fall out and hit all the chairs.

Man, I'd fall out on the floor.

Oh, there better be a God.

But the anointing would bring increase.

Ha ha ha, joy in the Holy Ghost, hallelujah.

So I just do what he did.

Amen, that anointing.

And it's working here tonight.

And so me and Trent is going to walk around and lay hands on everybody here tonight, everybody here.

If you don't want to be prayed for, just leave.

But in the body of Christ, one of the main doctrines in the church is called the doctrine of laying on the hands, not just for healing, but many times dad hagan would just tap you in the head and say be blessed, and I received that anointing.

I'd say whoo.

Then I would start laughing or dancing.

If the anointing is too strong, I just fall out in a chair.

You know, if you don't stand up, if you stay in your chair, you don't have that far to fall.

You can ask.

Ask.

The person next to you says all right if I lean on you, so you just lean over on that person.

Are y'all ready?

That's what we're going to do, amen.

And so I learned about the Holy Ghost from Dad Hagen, from my mom and dad, and I learned how to receive the anointing, amen.

And so Dad Hagen said use your faith.

And I went okay.

So I would say when he lays hands on me, I believe I receive the anointing.

Then I had to find out what channel that was broadcasting on.

You know what I mean?

It's not on the flesh channel, it's not on the peanut braining.

Then I had to find out what channel that was broadcasting on.

It's not on the flesh channel, it's not on the peanut brain channel, it's on the spirit.

The same part of you that prays in other tongues is the same part of you that receives the anointing.

So I learned how to receive the anointing.

Ha ha, ha ha.

Now listen close.

So Dad Hagen said I, I have a lot of people that I teach faith for healing the best that I can, and he's an outstanding teacher.

He said I teach them how to receive their healing the best that I can, but they never were healed until they were filled with the Holy Ghost Y'all still with me here.

In other words, they had to learn how to receive the anointing.

Let that anointing acknowledge the Holy Ghost and let that anointing work on the inside.
