here have a series on the major

doctrines of the word of God.

This morning we are going to look at the

incarnation

and the virgin birth

of Christ.

Let's start in the book of Isaiah

this morning. Isaiah

one of the great prophets

had a lot to say about

Christ and his kingdom.

And here we're going to begin in Isaiah

Isaiah 59 · chapter mention

chapter 59.

We got to remember that

the incarnation and the virgin birth

that we're looking at this morning.

Those are not

the same thing.

They're related. They go together, but

they're not the same thing. It's like

Jesus, his humanity and his deity,

they're not the same thing, but they

certainly go together.

and the incarnation,

the virgin birth are not the same.

Incarnation, we're going to look at it

here in a minute, but let's first begin

this morning in Isaiah chapter 59.

And this section here is similar to what

happens in revelation when John balls

his eye or John weeps

in heaven and

no man could be found to open the

scroll. And this is a similar point with

the prophet Isaiah

who can go

and God says that he will go.

So this section here is tied to the

Messiah, tied to the incarnation, tied

to um Jesus, tied to the our redeemer.

And here in verse 16, he said, "And I

saw there was no man and wondered that

there was in no intercessor. Therefore,

his arm brought salvation unto him and

his righteousness sustained him."

So the prophets in the Old Testament

sometimes they create a you know an

instance that we can see of the need.

Job does that over and over. Who you

know who's going to put their hand on me

and God?

Well, that's Jesus. And here Isaiah says

a similar thing. Who is the man that's

going to go?

You know, we need an intercessor.

And uh in verse 17,

for he put on righteousness as a

breastplate,

and a helmet of salvation upon his head,

and he put on the garments of vengeance,

and his clothing was clad with zeal and

a cloak, and according to the deeds, and

according to uh to repay, then fury to

his adversaries, and recompense to his

enemies, to the coastlands, he will

repay recompense. So we also have you

know not only uh who can go but what he

needs to do when he gets there

and uh so the fear of the name of the

Lord from the west

is America in the Old Testament. Well

there he says from the west.

So the gospel made it all the way to

America

and it keeps going.

And the glory from the rising of the sun

when the enemy shall come like a flood,

the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a

standard against him and the redeemer

shall come to Zion and to those who have

turned from their transgression in

Jacob, sayeth the Lord. So there is our

precious redeemer. It's going to be God

himself,

not the spirit,

uh, not the father. It's going to be God

the Son is going to come. He's going to

come specifically to Zion, specifically

to Jacob.

And as for me, this is my covenant with

them, sayeth the Lord. So God, this is

something God is going to do.

You not something we ask him to do. It's

something that he will do. and my spirit

is with them, sayaeth the Lord. My

spirit that is upon me, and my words

which I have put in my mouth shall not

depart out of my mouth. So it's a

message as well.

And this message is going to be a

message about redemption

and the son of God.

And that shall not depart out of my

mouth,

nor out of the mouth of my seed, nor out

of the mouth of my seed seeds. But it's

going to go on for generations, sayeth

the Lord, from henceforth and forever

more. And then chapter 60 is about the

kingdom age. Um, which we're not talking

about today, but arise and shine your

light and come for the glory of the Lord

is risen upon thee. So in a great way,

the glory of the Lord has risen upon us

uh in the great incarnation

of Jesus Christ. So scripture alone

defends this. You know, we didn't, you

know, the people can't look at us and

say, "Oh, you guys are cuckoo for

believing that God is your redeemer."

Well, we might be cuckoo for believing

that. That's what Corinthians says.

We're fools for believing this, but here

it is. where God said he is going to

come forth and be both the message the

messenger and have the covenant and be

our redeemer come to Zion do all these

great things and this is just a great

mystery and and a great

blessing

uh that God has taken upon himself.

Remember one of the psalms says who is

the king of glory asked that question

here we can say well who is the redeemer

you know who who is going to do this

well it's the son of god as verse 21

tells us and the father has you know

sent him he is the king of glory and he

he resurrected

and uh you know this is such a great

event you know it could never be

repeated

the incarnation and the virgin birth

and all the way to to what Christ did

and who Christ is now. That's what

Hebrews chapter 10 does. You know, this

Hebrews 10 · chapter mention

once for all sacrifice

and this once for all work of

redemption, this once for all God

becoming a man. And God is both the

message and the messengers. It says here

in verse

uh 21, he and he alone.

And you know, he's uh done a great work.

And when he got here,

remember John 7:46, no man ever spoke

John 7:46

like this man.

And in Matthew 7:28, when Jesus ended

Matthew 7:28

these things, the people were astonished

at his doctrine. Why? He wasn't like the

scribes and the Pharisees. He spoke

with authority.

So we have both the message and the

messenger

promised here in the Old Testament. Now

go to John chapter 1.

John 1 · chapter mention

How can we talk about the incarnation

without going here first?

And John here, he deals with the

incarnation and never mentions Mary.

John deals with the incarnation, never

talks about the virgin birth.

You know, they're both important. They

both happen, but the incarnation we have

here. And and the word incarnation,

it means um in the flesh.

And we have it over here in in John

John 1:14

chapter 1 verse 14.

And the word, remember, the word is God

back there in verse one.

Made flesh. There's our word. He was

made flesh. There's the incarnation. And

he dwelt among us. We beheld his glory

as the glory of the only begotten of the

father full of grace and truth. So

that's

who and whom he is. He is the word. He

is um the son of God became a man in the

flesh here as this verse is saying. It's

and again it's God himself. Look back at

verse one.

In the beginning uh was the word and the

word was with God and the word was or is

God. So it's in the flesh here. This

incarnation is none other than God

himself.

You remember how John starts his

epistle? Don't turn there, but you can

recall how he how John talks about

handling the word of God.

And that's who Christ is. He is the the

incarnation. He is God himself. He He

has no beginning. Here it says in the

beginning he had no beginning.

Uh did Christ the one who come in the

flesh. And then we have to remember

there are two two sides to him that we

can't separate. We have God uh and we

also have his humanity. His deity and

his humanity. Those two are welded

together

uh here. And you know as far as being

made

uh he was made a man. That's what the

Bible says. But he was not made god. He

has always been God. He is eternal.

We've been looking at some of those

things in the Old Testament. So, you

know, this this is a a very important

thing. You know, it is hard for us to

say, you know, one thing's more

important than the other. Paul said to

declare the whole council of God.

But the incarnation, the virgin birth,

the deity of Jesus and his humanity,

these are very important things that we

need to believe and believe.

What he says over in chapter 1 verse 18

there he says, "No man has seen God at

any time. The only begotten of the

father or excuse me who is in the bosom

of the father has declared him." So

there's a declaration here that that

Jesus is God. So that's who we have

here. Um

and again, we need the whole council of

God, but this is definitely something

that, you know, we can't bend on this

one. Can't give in on this one. Uh turn

to John chapter 8.

And here's the reason why

we can't bend on this one because this

is what this is what the one who became

flesh said.

You know, we have words uh we have

redlettered Bibles. I have a redlettered

Bible. And this this is Jesus said this,

not me. Jesus said this not uh somebody

else, not a critic

uh to him or to anything else. He said

here in chapter 8 and verse 23, he said,

"You are from beneath and I am from

above."

Well, he would have to be God to be from

above. You are of this world. I am not

of this world. I say therefore unto you

that you're going to die in your sins.

For if you believe not that I am,

you'll die in your sins.

So Jesus said that you have to we have

to believe in the deity of Christ. We

have to believe in the incarnation. We

have to believe that God became a man

for a specific per purpose here and he

is talking about uh dying for our sins.

And so there are people that deny the

deity of Christ and it's to their own

detriment because Jesus says you're

going to you're going to die in your

sins and go to hell if you don't believe

that I am. He is definitely most

definitely God. So this is a of great

importance here for us. And you know, of

all the doctrines of the Bible,

you know, this is one of the ones that,

you know, we need to understand and

preach and stand for and, you know, uh,

and if need be, be persecuted over. We

can't give in on this. And, you know,

it's it's like the game of chess.

you know, you've got all those pieces

out there and you know, all the other

ones are important, but the most

important one is your king, you know, so

when it comes to the Bible, when it

comes to what we know and what we

understand about Jesus is he's God. We

can't bend on that,

you know. He is as he says he is. He is

the great I am, you know, and and uh he

deserves these things here that he says

that he is uh and and he's proven over

and over uh to them and to others that

he is definitely God. That's why the

Jews crucified him. He called himself

God. Now, we have his genealogies. If

you would turn over to Matthew chapter

Matthew chapter 1. And each each one of

Matthew 1 · chapter mention

the gospels treat his genealogy

a little differently and add add a

little more to

uh what is here. But his genealogy

uh starts out the New Testament. And in

in Matthew 1:1, that's what it says. the

Matthew 1:1

book

of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the

son of David and the son of Abraham. So,

Matthew is very much interested in the

king and his kingdom here, mentioning uh

David and Abraham. And then Matthew, he

lays it all out for us here in this this

long chapter

uh about Jesus until we get over, if you

will, turn to verse 17.

So all the generations from Abraham to

David are 14 generations. From David

until the carrying away of Babylon,

14 generations. And from the carrying

away of Babylon to Christ are 14

generations. So, Matthew gives us uh the

genealogy of Jesus here and and traces

it back to David so that we might see

that there is going to be a throne. And

uh Matthew mentions Joseph here uh you

know as as Jesus' father.

all these other men. Uh, and the way

that this is written in the uh, Greek,

the words that are used here by Matthew,

it's it mentions so and so begott so and

so and so and so begott so and so. You

know, he does all that until it gets up

to Jesus and then it says Joseph didn't

begott Jesus. It didn't happen. He was

begott

another way. And if you'll turn over to

chapter 3

of

I'm sorry. Yeah.

Go to chapter 1 verse 23. We'll go to

Luke here in a second. Look at this.

Matthew 1:23.

And And why was this? You know, what was

the purpose of this? Well, the purposes

of this was so that he would not receive

the sin nature from his parents and from

his dad that all these other men did uh

down through this genealogy.

And here in Matthew 1:23,

behold, a virgin shall be with child and

bring forth a son. So there's the virgin

birth. I mean, how can we deny

the virgin birth? How can we not believe

in the virgin birth? Scripture says

these things are so

shall be with child and bring forth a

son and you will call his name Emmanuel

which is being interpreted God with us.

So how can we what can we say about

Jesus? He's God with us. God became a

man. He was born of a virgin. He come

through the lineage of David. He come

through the lineage of Adam for a

purpose and that purpose here uh is

spoken of for us. Uh and then in verse

20 while he thought on these things

behold angel of the Lord appeared unto

him in a dream saying Joseph you son of

David fear not and take unto thee Mary

your wife what that which is conceived

of her is of the Holy Spirit. So the

genealogy over and over says so and so

begott so and so begott so and so until

it gets to Jesus. And then it says

Joseph did not begot Jesus. The Holy

Spirit begot Jesus.

Now turn over to Luke chapter 1.

Luke 1.

Dr. Luke gives us more on the birth and

the death of Jesus and all the other

gospels.

And here we can see in Luke 1

and verse 30.

And the angel said unto her, "Fear not

Mary, for you have found favor with

God." But why did God do this? He picked

Mary. He said he was going to send the

redeemer through a virgin. That's what

Isaiah

says. And and here he's found the one.

It's Mary. She found favor with God.

It says so here in verse 30. And behold,

you will conceive in your womb and bring

forth a son. You will call his name

Jesus.

And although he's an infant, although uh

you know, you've yet to give birth to

him and when she did, she named him

Jesus.

But look what else is said of him here.

He shall be great.

He shall be called the son of the

highest,

and the Lord will give unto him the

throne of his father David.

He will reign over the house of Jacob

forever and his kingdom there will be no

end. So here we have David again and

Jacob and Israel

and the Messiah is born to Mary and he

has a great purpose to bring forth this

great the kingdom uh to his father. So

you know Jesus is the seed of the woman

here, the seed of Mary. And if we'll

read on down through here, it says,

"Mary said unto the angel, how can this

be, seeing I know no man?" So, you know,

again, back to what the Old Testament

said, she was a virgin. And uh from the

time of the, you know, her birth until

the birth of Jesus, she was a virgin and

remained a virgin.

She said, "I don't know a man."

And the or angel said unto her,

"The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee,

and the power of the highest." This is

some of the greatest language in the

Bible about this, the incarnation. This

is just an incredible

miracle

that God would become a man. that God

would become a man through Mary, that

God would become a Jewish man,

and that uh God the Father would hand

off God the Son, and that he will

overshadow thee. Therefore, the holy

thing of thee, which born of thee is the

son of God. He couldn't be a holy thing

as he was of Joseph.

So he's of the Holy Spirit, the the

power of the highest from the highest uh

elevated point that God is

uh has come forth

the son of God. So

you know these things are all important

for us to see as well as to to know that

he was born sinless.

He was born without a sin nature. He was

born not of Joseph but of the Holy

Spirit as it says here and of Mary. So

these things are just so important for

us to see. And as uh Luke says here,

it's it's in the highest. The Holy

Spirit come upon you and the power of

the highest will overshadow thee.

So, you know, Abraham begott Isaac and

and and David begot Solomon and we have

all those begats. But but when it comes

to Jesus, we have to say the Holy Spirit

begat Jesus just like the word of God

says here for us. So the Holy Spirit

gave this divine conception to Mary uh

Jesus human parent

and and he was he didn't become God.

You say well then when did he become a

man? Well he become a man on his

birthday when Mary gave birth after nine

months.

He became a man but he never became God.

He was always God. That's what this says

from the highest.

How can you miss it in verse 35?

Jesus is God. He's the son of God. And

he came to Mary

uh and and uh was born of Mary. So he's

free from the curse of Adam

is Jesus. You know, he has no sin nature

from Joseph. He has no sin nature uh

from humanity and and a greater than

than than men is here. And you know, he

was free from sin. And you know, here

here Jesus is he he created Mary, but

he's in the womb of Mary. This is a

great mystery.

This just boggles your mind. But all the

while we have to believe it. We have to

try and understand it. We have to try

and embrace it that the son of God

became man here at this point. And God

can't sin, you know. So here we have a

sinless baby for the first time uh in

the human race. So, you know, sin ruined

everything else

um in the garden

and and it takes its toll on us. It

takes its toll on everything. Sin takes

its toll on everything, but sin does not

take its toll on God.

It won't ruin God. He's greater than

these things.

Schaeer said this. He said, "Since

Christ is the same yesterday, today, and

forever, if he could have sinned on

earth, he could sin in heaven."

So, help us understand this that he

indeed is the son of God, the sinless

son of God, the pure son of God, the

holy son of God. And that's what the

angels say here. That's what uh the

testimony of the scriptures is. And um

you know Jesus he he he was born

in a manger just the way the word of God

says. And you know he uh he had no sin

nature like us. We're going to look at

some of those things when we when we

progress here as we study the son of God

in our series. Turn to Luke chapter 2.

Luke 2 · chapter mention

Both Joseph and Mary are of the lineage

of David.

You know that was when I when I read the

Bible for the first time and understood

tried to understand these genealogies

and you know I was ready to say oh wow

he he come through Mary through the

genealogy of Mary but he also come

through the genealogy of Joseph.

You know, God is so great

in keeping his promises.

And you know, he he was a Jew. He was

born a Jew.

And as a Jew, he had a about four things

that were going to mark his life.

First one is circumcision.

And you know, we saw that and we see

that back in Leviticus 12. We have those

four things back there in Leviticus 12.

We have circumcision at 8 days. We have

the presentation at 40 days. We have the

confirmation at 12 years of age. And we

have public service at 30 years of age.

So those are all the things that Jesus

would have been a part of uh being born

uh to this nation

uh as he was and as he is,

you know. So the Jews knew what to do,

you know, with the ba with the male

baby. And we see that throughout the

gospels here, if you will, look in Luke

Luke 2 · chapter mention

chapter 2

and verse 40.

And the child grew and became strong in

spirit, filled with wisdom, and the

grace of God was upon him. you know, so

he had, you know, he was uh he was 100%

human like us. You know, we're we're

made up of body, soul, and spirit. He

had a body, soul, and spirit.

Uh his was a little different. And the

grace of God was upon him. His parents

went to Jerusalem to the Passover. And

and this is the great verse where he

says down in verse 49, "How is it that

you sought me? Know you not that I must

be about my father's business." So

he perfectly kept the law as a Jew. He

perfectly

uh did all the things the Levitical law

required of a male. his parents uh did

those things with him and for him and

and he was a normal child for the you

know as far as that goes and you know he

he understood not the saying that was

spoke of him and he grew in stature with

men you know we have you know we have

these verses so you know he he meets all

of the qualifications

you know for he's prophet priest and

king and he meets all those

qualifications. He's of the tribe of

Judah. All the things the Old Testament

says about him are true and are coming

true. If you will turn back to chapter

one of Luke,

chapter one

of Luke.

And

here the angel said, "Mary, you have

found favor with God." So this is what

and who Jesus is. He's he's the favor of

God. You know, he he's what Isaiah said,

the redeemer is coming. Um the one who

is going to come and work out uh you

know, this great plan of salvation

is him. He's the son of Adam. He's the

son of David. He's the son of Mary. And

he's the son of God.

You know, that's what the Bible

proclaims.

And we ask, well, did he know who he

was? Oh, yeah. If you would turn over to

John

John 12 · chapter mention

chapter 12.

He was not confused who he was, who he

is. Everybody else is,

but he's not.

And in every area of his of his

humanity, he was sinless.

He lived 33 and a2 years. There was not

a day, not a moment, not a month, not a

week where he was not the sinless son of

God.

And here in John

12

27,

we see here that he knew his purpose.

Now is my soul troubled. Now, as we look

at his humanity here, we get to see that

he's troubled.

You know, we have other verses where he

wept, we have other verses where he

cried uh and and we have other verses

about, you know, his compassion on

people.

I mean, he was a man,

the God man. But here he is troubled.

And for what say I, Father, save me from

this hour? But for this cause came I to

this hour. Father glorify your name. So

Jesus knew

why he had come

was to fulfill

father's will in this great covenant

that God has with humanity that he will

send a savior and a redeemer to die for

our sins. Turn over to chapter 11.

We have a couple

couple outstanding verses in John 11

here that you know let us see his

humanity. And one of them is here in

verse uh 33. When Jesus therefore saw

her weeping,

the Jews also weeping who came with her.

He groaned in his spirit and he was

troubled. That's a man.

And then he says, "Where have you laid

him?"

He said, "Come and see." And Jesus wept.

Here we have God shedding tears. Here we

have the son of God weeping at the tomb

of Lazarus. And if you will remember,

this is not the only time he wept. He

wept over the city of Jerusalem

there in Matthew 23 and in Luke as well.

Turn over to John chapter

John 13 · chapter mention

John 13:21

verse 21.

And Jesus thus said he was troubled in

his spirit. So he as a man knew trouble

in his spirit like like we do. Uh you

know not knowing you know what the

outcome might be. But he knows

everything. saying, "Verily, verily, I

say unto you, one of you is going to

betray me."

So, nobody ever loved us like Jesus to

love the very one who is going to betray

him.

Look over in chapter 19.

John 19.

See how it works. John the gospel of

John is about the deity of Christ and

here we have some of the greatest verses

on his humanity. You can't separate

these things. And in John chapter 19

John 19:30

verse 30 and when Jesus therefore had

received the vinegar he said it is

finished he bowed his head and he gave

up his spirit.

So he had a spirit.

He was like us.

um a man, a human being, body, soul and

spirit. He had a body, soul and spirit

and here he gives up the spirit as it

says and he dies. So

you know there

the Bible leaves no doubt about his

humanity

and and him identifying with us and in

all of these things.

Um one more turn back to John chapter 4.

Here

we can pick up a couple.

And in John chapter 4,

remember when he was tested by the devil

says he was hungry, you know, so he he

knew hunger as a man.

And here in John chapter 4, we have a

couple here back to back in verse 6,

John 4:6.

John 4:6

And here we see that

Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore

being weary with his journey. So there

he is,

you know, he's he's walked, you know,

quite a ways uh thinking about that well

and that water. So as a man, he he

wearied from his journey. Verse seven,

it says he's thirsty. The woman came and

he said, "Give me to drink." He's

thirsty. So Jesus was hungry. He He grew

weary. He grew thirsty.

He wept over Lazarus.

He wept over Jerusalem.

And he did these things for a reason.

You know, his humanity

that he became a man equipped him to

overcome and to defeat God's enemies.

And that's what Psalm 110 says.

But turn to 1 Corinthians 15 where we

see the fulfillment

of Psalm 10.

1 Corinthians 15.

Since the resurrection has happened,

let all of God's enemies be put on

notice.

and verse 20. 1 Corinthians 15

and verse 19. If in this life only we

have hope in Christ, we of all men most

miserable. Paul will admit to that. God

will admit to that.

But now as Christ risen from the dead

and become the first fruits of them that

slept. Now we have a great hope. And our

great hope is a person.

And since and since by man came death,

by man came the resurrection of the

dead. That's what Jesus did. You know,

why did he become a man? For these

reasons and many more.

For as an Adam all die, even so Christ

will all be made alive.

And every man in his own order, Christ

the first fruits, afterwards they that

are Christ at his coming. And then shall

come the end when he will have delivered

up the kingdom to God, even the father,

when we'll put down all rule, authority,

and power. And that hasn't happened yet.

We're waiting on that. You know, that's

what we're waiting on, the rapture of

the church. And after the rapture of the

church, then he's going to come back and

and uh defeat the rest of God's enemies,

the last enemy that show and he will be

reigning for he must reign. The Messiah

has a reign. you know, this Jesus in the

in the manger who was born of Mary uh so

many years ago, he is going to reign

according to the word of God. And he's

going to destroy all of God's enemies.

And the last one that is going to be

destroyed is death.

And then he is going to put all things

under his feet. And when he says all

things are put under him,

it is manifest that he um is accepted

who did put all things under him. And

when all things shall be subdued unto

him, then shall the son himself be

subject and put him put all things under

him that God

not may but shall be all in all. He is

all in all. the the one born over there

in the manger who who come to the earth

to do these great things for us and

accomplish so great a salvation.

I'll turn to first Timothy chapter 2.

1 Timothy 2 · chapter mention

So while he was here, while he was a

man, he learned some things. You know,

he learned what it was like to be a man.

He learned what it was like to stand at

the tomb of Lazarus and weep. He He knew

what it was like to stand at the well

well and be weary and need a drink.

So now he is able to help us in a

greater way.

That's what first Timothy says here.

Go to chapter 2 and verse 5.

1 Timothy 2 · chapter mention

Chapter 2 and verse 5.

You say it's hard. If Jesus were just a

man, how is a man going to judge the

whole world?

How's he going to raise the dead?

Those things would be impossible if he

weren't God.

But he is God and they will happen. He's

the one God sent here to accomplish his

will.

And here in verse five of chapter 2 of 1

Timothy, there is one God. Not to read,

father, son, and the spirit. There is

one God and the mediator between God and

man, the man Christ Jesus. Remember what

Job said. Who's going to put his hand on

me and God and intercede? Well, here's

your answer.

the great man Jesus Christ who come to

the earth and gave himself a ransom for

all to be testified in due time. And

we're testing test testifying about him

now.

So this is the one who we saw in the Old

Testament. Remember the theophanes and

remember uh the verses back there. This

is this is the one. and uh turn over to

Colossians chapter 2.

The New Testament has great things to

say

about the son of God,

who he is and what he has done

in Colossians chapter 2

and verse 16.

that we have to

we celebrate this man. We celebrate this

God man

and all that he has done. That's what

Hebrews chapter 10 says. It's him. You

Hebrews 10 · chapter mention

know, God sent him.

And you know, people miss this and they

they they want to talk about food. They

want to talk about drink. They want to

talk about feast days, new moon,

Sabbath. And Paul says here, they're all

just things to come. They're a shadow.

And the body is Christ. So now we have

the real thing. We have the reality.

And that reality is Jesus Christ.

And Paul said back there in verse 8, you

know that verse, beware lest any man

spoil you through philosophy, vain

deceit of the tradition of men, the

rudiments of the world, and not after

Christ. For in him dwells the fullness

of the Godhead bodily, and you're

complete in him. And you're complete in

him who is the head

of all principalities and powers. He's

there. There's none higher. There's none

greater

than Jesus.

Every knee will bow, including all those

fallen angels, including Lucifer.

And Jesus was sinless and holy and

perfect and righteous and all those

great things. And now we are

uh because of his work and because God

can put us in his son.

So you know his birth,

his humanity,

he came into the world just like

everyone else. He has human parents.

He had a human family.

And none of those

interfered

with his final uh accomplishment

which was on the cross

to die for our sins.

So now we have a perfect sinless

uh relationship

with God through him. Now we still sin.

We confess our sins,

but this is what Christ has done for us

because he is God. That's what Acts

says. That the blood of God was shed for

us. though he's eternal and whosoever

will may come to him. So now God wants

us to be like him. Turn to the book of

Luke

Now we can say this

and as Mary said, "My spirit rejoices in

God,

my savior."

Well, that's who she saw

back there in the manger. That's who she

saw that she brought forth was uh the

son of God, the perfect one, the savior

of the world.

And now he's going to have a reign. And

we saw a little bit of that rain back

there in in uh First Corinthians. Turn

if you would

to Isaiah 24.

Isaiah 24:23

verse 23.

Then the moon

shall be confounded and the sun ashamed

when the Lord of hosts, who is the Lord

of hosts?

It's none other than Jesus Christ, shall

reign in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem

and before his ancients

gloriously.

And then we have that kingdom age there

in chapter 25. So the Bible specific

where where Jesus is going to reign. Why

was he born a Jew? He because he's going

to reign in Jerusalem.

You know these these things are of God.

These are God's purposes and God's ways.

Um now turn over to Acts chapter 10.

This reign

is going to begin at some point and

never end. And for those of you who have

been born again, it's already started.

He's reigning in our lives. And here in

Acts chapter 10

and verse 36,

don't miss

this man. Don't miss this God man. Don't

miss the son of God. Don't miss who

Jesus is and what Jesus has done.

You know, God God has done it all in

him. Put everything in him. He is all in

all as the Bible says

back there in in first Corinthians and

elsewhere. And here

uh we have a similar thing in Acts

Acts 13 · chapter mention

chapter 13.

And now, not only is he on the at the

right hand of God, not only is he

interceding for us as our advocate and

as our mediator

here, we see he is Lord of all.

He's uh every corner of the universe

belongs to him.

And verse 36, it says that the word

which God sent unto the children of

Israel,

you see that the word there

and Christ there and preaching there and

God there and Israel there. All these

things God did

and he made Jesus Lord

of all, overall,

above all, there every knee will bow and

every tongue will confess that Jesus is

Christ.

Now turn to Romans chapter 10.

That's what happens when you get saved

and we find out my redeemer,

my savior is God. Well, that makes him

Lord as well.

And here

we have it. Romans chapter 10 and verse

12, a similar statement. There is no

difference between the Jew and the

Greek. God didn't have to send a

redeemer for the Jews and a redeemer for

the Gentiles or a redeemer for the Jews

and a redeemer for America.

No, he sent one redeemer who um is Lord

of all and accomplish these great

things. There's no difference between

Jew and Greek.

We're all sinners. We all fall short of

the glory of God. Paul said all those

things earlier in this book,

but now Paul says he's Lord of all, the

same Lord over all and rich unto all

that call upon his name. And here's the

whosoever.

Whosoever shall call upon the name of

the Lord shall be saved. He's Lord of

all. He can save to the uttermost or to

the guttermost, whichever one you

prefer.

And he's reigning. He will reign. And as

Isaiah said, who can go for us? And as

and as Revelation says, who can go for

us? And God has went for us. And if God

be for us, who dare be against us? Turn

the book of Revelation.

and I'll quit.

Revelation chapter 17.

Now we say he's what? He's the King of

Kings. He's the Lord of Lords.

this little baby that came in the manger

who um was given a body

and who was the Holy Spirit who uh

brought about the conception of the son

of God. These things that we have read

and now we see here in the at the end of

the book of revelation the one who has

been reigning and will reign who can go

for us and God has went for us. So now

we can say in Revelation 17 verse 14,

Revelation 17:14

these shall make war with the lamb and

the lamb will overcome them. Why?

For he is lord. He's the lord of lords,

the king of kings and all those uh that

are with him are called chosen and

faithful. See what he's done for us.

He's made us the chosen and faithful and

we are with him. and he's the great

overcomer, the great king of kings and

lord of lords um that we are looking

for. So Isaiah said prepare the way.

John the Baptist said prepare the way.

This is the very one that they were

preparing the way for. He is the way,

the truth, and the life. Let's pray.

Father

Lord, we thank you for this day. We

thank you for the word of God and

brings us great joy and comfort to know

that you have overcome our sin. You've

overcome the world. You've overcome

death. You've overcome our enemies.

You've overcome everything that we might

have eternal life in you. And we thank

you for these things. this precious gift

of eternal life. The wages of sin is

death, but the gift of God is eternal

life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And

as humble as he was, meek as he was and

is, he's the Lord of Lords and King of

Kings. We thank you for him. We pray it

in Jesus name. Amen.
