  1. I don't know if this blows your mind or not, but thinking about

  2. those words that we just sang for endless days, we will sing

  3. your praise. It's been a couple thousand

  4. years since Jesus died and rose from the dead.

  5. And for a couple thousand years people have gathered and

  6. worshipped and praised the name of Jesus.

  7. And we get the opportunity to join them today.

  8. And here's the good news, it's going to go on for endless days.

  9. We get to continue to praise him because he's alive and he is

  10. risen. So happy Easter, He is risen.

  11. Praise the Lord. Hey, we're talking about the

  12. king we need. And today we're talking about

  13. the triumphant, the victorious king.

  14. But I got to tell you, I had a moment this week.

  15. I had a moment. It's spring break for our kids

  16. and, and, and 1st and sunrise service.

  17. Dale talked about basketball, which gets me excited.

  18. I love basketball. And he talked about who the

  19. greatest of all time is. And of course, if you know me,

  20. you know my favorite player, Shaquille O'Neal.

  21. He played back in the 90s and early 2000s, maybe played a

  22. little bit in the, you know, late 2000s.

  23. But but he, I watched almost every game that Shaq played.

  24. He was dominant, one of the most dominant players in NBA history.

  25. I mean, he dunked on people. He was fast, he had good

  26. footwork. He was awesome.

  27. How many of you ever watched Shaq play?

  28. All right, I love Shaq. I used to watch almost every one

  29. of his games. In fact, I went to see him in

  30. Lai, went to see him in Cleveland.

  31. I went to see him in Miami. I went to see him in Atlanta.

  32. I went to see him in Charlotte. I loved watching him play.

  33. But one of the things I watched from Shaq, one of the most

  34. dominant players in history, is it was sometime around his time

  35. with the Miami Heat, maybe the Phoenix Suns.

  36. He dropped off a little bit. All of a sudden, he wasn't quite

  37. as fast. He wasn't quite as strong.

  38. He wasn't quite as dominant. Well, I got to tell you, it's

  39. been spring break for our kids this week.

  40. And so one of the things we we can't go, I'm a pastor.

  41. I can't leave on Holy Week and go on a trip.

  42. And so one of the things we've done to make it special as I've

  43. come up here in the evenings and played pickleball with my boys.

  44. Now, let me tell you, Shaq was a dominant basketball player.

  45. You, I have been dominant over my children at pickleball.

  46. I mean, Shaquille O'Neal level dominance, left hand, right

  47. hand, doesn't matter. Dominant.

  48. On Monday night we came up to church.

  49. I had a moment. We came up to the church.

  50. It was Sam and Charlie and I and, and my first game playing,

  51. I played against Sam, who turned 15 this week.

  52. He wasn't 15 yet, but we played our first game and I wasn't so

  53. dominant. It didn't go my way.

  54. I lost the game. I came back the second game I I

  55. fought and I clawed. Listen, I'm not in peak physical

  56. condition right now. I'm not in my athletic shape.

  57. I'm not in dominant Shaquille O'Neal form.

  58. The second game I clawed back and I was able to get the win.

  59. The third game, it was a tough game.

  60. I'm sweating, I'm hurting, I can't breathe.

  61. He wins a point. This is the worst part of all of

  62. it. He wins a point.

  63. I go jogging over to get the ball.

  64. I'm running and this crazy thing happens.

  65. I fell, guys. I don't fall.

  66. Nobody pushed me, nobody tripped me.

  67. I just fell. I just fell over my own feet and

  68. it hurt. I don't think I broke a hip, but

  69. it hurt. And he went on.

  70. Sam Mahaffey. Go ahead, give him some love,

  71. everyone. Sam Mahaffey went on to win two

  72. of three against me on Monday night.

  73. And pickleball and the once Shaquille O'Neal dominant

  74. pickleball player that I was, I didn't feel so good anymore.

  75. There's a saying in sports that Father Time is undefeated.

  76. No matter how good you are, no matter how dominant you are,

  77. eventually time will catch up to you.

  78. You will get older, you will slow down, and you will not be

  79. dominant anymore. There's another saying that says

  80. there's two things you can count on.

  81. What are they? Death and taxes.

  82. All right, all joking aside, can I, can I be really serious with

  83. you for a minute? Sometimes I have anxiety over

  84. aging and thinking about getting older and life changing.

  85. I love sports playing, I mean, playing pickleball is fun.

  86. I love that I get to play with the boys and, and, and I'm I'm

  87. glad Sam got his day in the sun. And trust me, I'm not, I'm not

  88. done yet. There will be dominance again.

  89. But I got to be real honest with you and say that, that sometimes

  90. I think about the fact that I'm getting older and I think about

  91. the fact I, I, I took Eli on a college visit and I, I went to

  92. my old college and I thought, man, it's been longer since I

  93. was in college than it was before and during college.

  94. I'm getting older. How many of you have ever had a

  95. little anxiety over aging or death?

  96. It's a real thing. Two things you can count on,

  97. death and taxes. Well, I got good news today.

  98. Today we come together to serve the risen Savior, the victorious

  99. king, the triumphant King. And because of that, we have

  100. victory, we have life. Not just life, we have

  101. everlasting life. We're going to be in First

  102. Corinthians 15 today, but last week we talked about John

    John 13 chapter mention

  103. chapter 13 and in John chapter 13 we saw this that the evening

    John 13 chapter mention

  104. meal was in progress and the devil had already prompted

  105. Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot to betrayed Jesus.

  106. Jesus knew all things had been put under his feet or under his

  107. power, that he had come from God and was returning to God.

  108. In verse one it says he knew that his hour had come.

  109. So, so two things we said last week.

  110. We said Jesus knew when he gathered with his disciples in

  111. the Last Supper that Jesus knew two things.

  112. Number 1, he knew that his time had come.

  113. He knew that he would be going to the cross and dying on a

  114. cross. He was about a day or less from

  115. dying on a cross when he gathered with his disciples.

  116. The second thing he knew is this, that God had put all

  117. things under him. He was all powerful.

  118. There was nothing that is over Jesus.

  119. And last week we talked about the servant King, that even in

  120. the midst of all of that, He bowed down and he washed the

  121. feet of his disciples. But moving forward, ultimately

  122. he chose to go to the cross. He knew he was going to be

  123. crucified on a cross. He knew that there was going to

  124. be excruciating pain and and then it would be torturous.

  125. And Jesus chose to go to the cross.

  126. He knew that all things were under his power, but he also

  127. knew that he must defeat sin and death for our sake.

  128. Praise the Lord, He has risen today.

  129. Say he has risen today. We're going to look at First

  130. Corinthians 15. Stand with me if you don't mind,

  131. and honor God's word. And there's two parts of this.

  132. The first part is the good news of the gospel.

  133. We're going to start in verse 3. And so Paul says in First

  134. Corinthians 15, he says for what I received I passed on to you as

  135. of first importance, that Christ died for our sins according to

  136. the scriptures, that he was buried and that he raised on the

  137. third day according to the scriptures, and that he appeared

  138. to Cephas and then to the 12. This is the good news of the

  139. gospel guys right here in 2 verses.

  140. Jesus died on the cross for your sins.

  141. Praise the Lord. You should be excited about

  142. that. We celebrate this on Good

  143. Friday. Celebrates a tough word, but we

  144. do. We worship and celebrate that

  145. Jesus gave everything on the cross to pay for our sins.

  146. The reality is this, every single one of us descend and

  147. fallen short of the glory of God and every single one of us

  148. deserves the punishment for that.

  149. But praise the Lord Jesus Christ, because of His great

  150. love for us, gave His life on a cross.

  151. He died for our sins, according to the Scriptures.

  152. He was buried just like any dead person is buried.

  153. He was buried. He was sealed in a tomb.

  154. But on the third day he rose again, triumphant, victorious.

  155. Praise God, that's the gospel. He didn't stay dead, He rose

  156. from the dead and gives us victory over sin and death.

  157. To continue on. In verse 20 it says, But Christ

  158. has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those

  159. who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a

  160. man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

  161. For as an Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive,

  162. but each in turn Christ the Firstfruits.

  163. Then when he comes those who belong to him, Then the end will

  164. come, when he hands over the Kingdom of God the Father to God

  165. the Father, after he has destroyed all dominion,

  166. authority and power. For He must reign until he has

  167. put all his enemies under his feet.

  168. The last enemy to be destroyed is death, for he has put

  169. everything under his feet. Now when it says everything has

  170. been put under his feet, it's clear that this does not include

  171. God himself who put everything under Christ.

  172. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject

  173. to him who put everything under him, so that God may be All in

  174. all. Praise the Lord, the good news

  175. of the gospel. Have a seat.

  176. Paul is writing this in a culture that struggled with

  177. resurrection. Do you ever struggle with the

  178. idea of resurrection? We say we believe it, but let's

  179. be honest, if we struggle with aging and death, maybe we

  180. struggle a little bit with the concept of resurrection.

  181. This this culture that he's writing into struggled with it.

  182. The they had the influence of their culture, which believed

  183. that their bodies were traps. They were, they were tombs and

  184. they didn't believe their bodies were good, But also they had the

  185. influence of the Sadducees who were religious people who denied

  186. the resurrection. And so Paul is writing this into

  187. a culture and and I didn't read verse 12 through 19, but but he

  188. makes this logical argument. This is from a commentary that I

  189. read. It says if there is no principle

  190. of resurrection, then Jesus did not rise from the dead.

  191. See, the people that he's writing to did not believe and

  192. resurrect. They did believe that Jesus rose

  193. from the dead, but they didn't believe that we would be raised

  194. from the dead. And so he's writing, he says if

  195. there's no principle of resurrection, then Jesus did not

  196. rise from the dead. And if Jesus did not rise from

  197. the dead, then death has power over him and has defeated him.

  198. And if death has power over Jesus, then he is not God.

  199. And if he's not God, then he cannot offer a complete

  200. sacrifice for sins. And if Jesus cannot offer a

  201. complete sacrifice for sins, then our sins are not completely

  202. paid for before God. And if my sins aren't completely

  203. paid for before God, then I am still in my sins.

  204. Therefore, if Christ has not risen, he is unable to save.

  205. Guys, Paul is writing this because this is a big deal.

  206. The resurrection of Jesus. The reason we gather on Easter,

  207. the reason people around the world gather, is because this is

  208. a big deal. Jesus is exactly who he says he

  209. is. He's the Son of God and he died

  210. and three days later rose from the grave.

  211. Today is huge. He is risen, praise the Lord.

  212. Verse 20 to 28, he moves on and he says, but Christ has indeed

  213. been raised from the dead. Three things that we see we're

  214. going to work through three things we see verses 20 to 28

  215. that are good news of the gospel for this Easter for you and I

  216. Three things. Number one, Christ's

  217. resurrection is the first fruits.

  218. His resurrection paves the way for our resurrection.

  219. It says here, but Christ has indeed been raised from the

  220. dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

  221. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the

  222. dead comes also through a man. For as an Adam all die, so in

  223. Christ all will be made alive. The idea of firstfruits is that

  224. it's the beginning, it's the first part of the crop.

  225. And so Jesus, his resurrection was the firstfruits, and there

  226. was a lot more to come. And guess what?

  227. That's our resurrection, that we, even though we will die,

  228. will be raised again and have eternal life with Christ if we

  229. believe in Him. Praise the Lord, He's our

  230. resurrection. He's the first fruits.

  231. There's no reason to have anxiety over fear and death if

  232. you understand what's coming after.

  233. If you're a believer in Christ and you know that there's

  234. something better coming, you don't need to worry about not

  235. being good at pickleball anymore.

  236. You don't need to worry about getting older.

  237. You don't need to worry about the things you're going to miss

  238. because there's something so much better.

  239. I remember in high school, I got to go on a date.

  240. It was the best looking girl at our school and I went to the

  241. Aerosmith concert with her. Now this was right when that

  242. movie, I don't even remember the movie.

  243. It was the Armageddon, Thank you.

  244. And that song, I don't want to miss a thing.

  245. Huge song. And I went to the concert

  246. Aerosmith with the best looking girl in school.

  247. And I remember laying there on the grass there in Nashville

  248. thinking, I don't know if it gets any better than this.

  249. This is pretty good. Some of my favorite music, the

  250. best looking girl in the school. I don't know if I want to leave

  251. this. Have you ever had a moment where

  252. you were just like, I don't know if it's going to get any better.

  253. The guys can I tell you, praise the Lord, it get it got a lot

  254. better. I didn't end up with that girl.

  255. I ended up with the best girl in the world, one of the most

  256. beautiful girls in the world, my wife Megan.

  257. And praise the Lord that I didn't stay in that moment.

  258. It was a fun moment, but praise the Lord that there was

  259. something so much better. See, if you know there's

  260. something better, you don't have to worry about losing what you

  261. have. Megan and I joke about this all

  262. the time, but we'll have a meal that's really good.

  263. And we think, oh, if we could just rewind and have that meal

  264. again and again and again. Have you ever thought that about

  265. a meal? Is it just me?

  266. That's why I'm losing pickleball, isn't it?

  267. But you know, when you go to The Cheesecake Factory, you don't

  268. worry about the meal ending because there's something else

  269. coming, right? There's dessert, there's

  270. something better. And here's the deal.

  271. If we have anxiety over over death, over aging, and listen, I

  272. know it's it's a human thing, but I want you to know that that

  273. aging and dying here on Earth are, are just a passing through

  274. to a better thing. Yeah, this life is good.

  275. It's a blessing. It's a gift from God.

  276. Praise God for every day that I get with my family and friends.

  277. Praise God for every day that I get to get up here and preach

  278. the gospel. God is good.

  279. But you know what? As I age and I'm no longer fast

  280. and I'm no longer athletic and I'm no longer beating my kids at

  281. pickleball. And as I move towards the later

  282. part of this life, I don't have to have anxiety or fear because

  283. Christ's resurrection is the first fruits and has paved the

  284. way for me to have eternal life with Christ Jesus.

  285. There's something so much better.

  286. Praise the Lord, we can come here and we could celebrate

  287. today because death for the believer is not the end.

  288. Aging is not losing. It's a step towards what God has

  289. for us, eternal life to #1 Christ.

  290. Resurrection is the first fruits #2 I want to give you the good

  291. news that Christ reigns over everything, says in verse 25.

  292. For he must reign until he has put all things under his feet.

  293. The last enemy to be destroyed is death, for he has put

  294. everything under his feet. I I want to give you the good

  295. news that Jesus reigns today. This doesn't say that he will

  296. one day reign. It doesn't say that he did.

  297. And at some point, well, again, it says he must rain today.

  298. This is an active raining. This is Jesus is over

  299. everything. Everything has been put under

  300. his feet. Praise the Lord, he reigns.

  301. You know, sometimes it seems like like bad is winning,

  302. doesn't it? Sometimes it feels like things

  303. aren't going our way. And sometimes it feels like

  304. there's someone else that's in control.

  305. There's someone else that's raining.

  306. Maybe it's the the stuff that's happened around us.

  307. Maybe it's war. Maybe it's that terrible word

  308. cancer. Maybe it's the hatred that we

  309. see around us. Maybe it's chaos.

  310. But sometimes it looks like Jesus isn't in charge, that all

  311. things aren't under his feet. All right, can I?

  312. I'm going to. I may offend some people real

  313. quick. OK, Jesus is over everything.

  314. That shouldn't offend you. Hopefully you're not offended by

  315. that. Jesus is over everything.

  316. If you're ever tempted to wonder why there's still difficulty in

  317. pain, it's because we still have a part to play in this and there

  318. is still people who choose to go against Jesus.

  319. And here's the deal, guys. I think sometimes we get our

  320. priorities out of whack and we think that Jesus that that he

  321. reigns over everything, but that what he should do is he should.

  322. All right, here we go. That he should make America

  323. great again or that he should build back better?

  324. And listen, this isn't a political thing on one side or

  325. the other, but sometimes we get into the feeling that Jesus is

  326. in the business of making this country or our relationships or

  327. peace between countries. Can I tell you what Jesus is all

  328. about? He's about salvation and life

  329. for the people of this world. He's about life and hope.

  330. And that's not to say listen, that's not to say there's one

  331. side that's better this side. It's to say Jesus is most

  332. concerned with your heart and your eternity and your

  333. salvation, not what your pocketbook looks like or not

  334. that we all are getting along perfectly.

  335. Don't, don't miss it. Just because there's war, just

  336. because there's pain, doesn't mean that Jesus doesn't rain.

  337. He is over everything and His plan, His goal, His heart is

  338. that as many of us as possible. His heart is that all of us

  339. would come to know Him and walk with Him as as our Savior and

  340. our Lord and have eternal life. That's what He's all about.

  341. Maybe some of you come in with a heavy heart.

  342. Maybe there's relational issues. I talked to someone before first

  343. Service and we were just talking about how it's hard sometimes

  344. because you can do everything right, you can treat people

  345. right. And sometimes there's still

  346. problems. People still look at you as the

  347. enemy and we can't control that. Maybe for some of you, health

  348. concerns are the big thing. My mom passed of cancer and and

  349. she was the one that was most careful of all of us and and

  350. listen. Jesus reigns over everything and

  351. I hate that. That's something that people

  352. have to deal with on this earth. But it doesn't mean that he's

  353. not in control because can I tell you that my mom is OK?

  354. Can I tell you that even in your your biggest hurts, Jesus reigns

  355. and he wants to draw you to him. He wants you to have salvation

  356. in life through Him. The things we can't control,

  357. wars around us, the chaos all around us.

  358. It doesn't mean that he's not in control.

  359. It doesn't mean that he doesn't rain.

  360. He is working, He is over everything, and he is trying to

  361. draw us to Him so that we can have salvation in life.

  362. Being a follower of Jesus is not a guarantee that everything's

  363. going to work out easy. It's not a guarantee that you

  364. won't ever get sick. Some of the best people I know

  365. are walking through difficulty, but praise the Lord, Jesus

  366. reigns and all things are under Him, and He is working in all

  367. things to bring us to Him and to help us walk in eternal life

  368. with Him. He reigns over everything, but

  369. today He needs to reign over your heart so you can be at

  370. peace even in the midst of the worst situations.

  371. You can have peace even in the midst of cancer and pain.

  372. You can have peace even if people call you the enemy.

  373. You can have peace even in a world that's at war because you

  374. understand that our God reigns that he's conquered sin and

  375. death. He needs to reign in your heart.

  376. The third thing we see, and I'm going to call this the already

  377. in the not yet Kingdom. That's not something I came up

  378. with. A Christ victory gives us

  379. victory over sin and death. But then there's the one day

  380. where he will destroy sin and death once and for all.

  381. There's the already and the not yet.

  382. I want to talk about what the resurrection means for us

  383. already and the not yet. Verse 24 says then the end will

  384. come when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father after

  385. he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power, for he must

  386. reign until he has put all things under his feet.

  387. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

  388. First off, I want to talk about the already the good news of

  389. resurrection Sunday is number one.

  390. We don't have to fear death and aging because we have

  391. resurrection life. We have eternal life in Christ

  392. and there's something better to come.

  393. But here's what I want you to understand.

  394. Christ's victory and the cross and the empty tomb gives us

  395. victory over sin and death. See, He lived a perfect life,

  396. sinless life. He gave His life for us.

  397. He died on the cross for us. He raised from the dead.

  398. He defeated death. And now the very Spirit of God

  399. lives in you. If you're a believer, if He's

  400. your Savior, He fills you with his Spirit, the Spirit of the

  401. living God that's defeated sin and death.

  402. He lives in you and He's working to give you life and peace

  403. today. His sacrifice on the cross gives

  404. us forgiveness. His resurrection from the dead

  405. gives us deliverance and transformation.

  406. We are filled with the very presence of the living God, and

  407. He's at work. I love the song we sing.

  408. Death was never going to hold you, so it's never going to hold

  409. me. Guys, God's plan for you is not

  410. to just live in death until one day He delivers you.

  411. The already of the Kingdom is that Christ died for sins.

  412. He rose from the dead and in raising from the dead He not

  413. only had victory over sin and death, but he gives us victory

  414. over sin and death. And now he's given us his very

  415. spirit. And we don't have to be the same

  416. old. We don't have to be living in

  417. death and sin. 2nd Corinthians 3 verse 18 says and we all who

  418. with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory are being

  419. transformed into his image with ever increasing glory which

  420. comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

  421. The old you doesn't have to stick around.

  422. How many of you know there's an old you?

  423. The old you maybe wasn't so kind.

  424. The old you may be flipped out on the kids, the Co workers, the

  425. people driving around you. The old you maybe was overcome

  426. with guilt and anxiety. The old you maybe was overcome

  427. with bitterness. The old you may have struggled

  428. with addiction and pain. But praise the Lord.

  429. His resurrection from the dead gives us victory over sin and

  430. death. And His Spirit is living in US

  431. and transforming us. So the old you doesn't have to

  432. be who you are now. You have victory over sin and

  433. death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ today.

  434. You can have victory today. Death has no power on us who are

  435. in Christ. We can live victoriously through

  436. Jesus, but we also understand so that's the already the already

  437. and the not yet. That's the already is that

  438. today. And listen, we believe that

  439. today you can be delivered from sin and death, that you don't

  440. have to be the same old person. You don't have to continue to

  441. struggle with all of those things, but that God will

  442. transform you and redeem you and make you holy.

  443. That's the already we have victory, but we also understand

  444. there is still death in this world.

  445. There is still pain, there are still tears, there is still

  446. cancer, there are still brokenness and fights.

  447. But I've got good news. The already number one, we don't

  448. have to live in that. We've been delivered, but #2 the

  449. not yet. One day he's coming again and

  450. he's going to destroy all of sin and death.

  451. Death will no longer be a thing, Revelation 21 says.

  452. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Look, God's

  453. dwelling place is now among his people, and he will dwell with

  454. them. They will be his people, and God

  455. himself will be with them and be their God.

  456. He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no

  457. more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of

  458. things has passed away. So let me help you understand

  459. this. Jesus reigns now.

  460. We have victory over sin and death.

  461. Now you don't have to let the things around you or health take

  462. away the the joy you have in Christ, the life you have in

  463. Christ. We have life today in Christ.

  464. But praise the Lord, one day, one day it's all going to be

  465. over and it's just going to be His goodness.

  466. He's going to destroy sin and death and pain.

  467. That's the not yet. That's what we look forward to.

  468. He's already defeated death through the cross in the empty

  469. tomb, but one day He will completely destroy all of it.

  470. His desire in the meantime is that each and every one of us

  471. and the people around us will come to know Him once again as

  472. our Lord and Savior and that we will have life and eternal life.

  473. God's heart. It's not just for us in this

  474. room, but for the people around us, the people that came to

  475. extravaganza yesterday, the people that work with you, your

  476. neighbors that all will come to know him and have salvation in

  477. life in him. And so we've got the all ready.

  478. We look forward to the not yet. He reigns, He's victorious.

  479. All of this good news today. The good news that you don't

  480. have to worry about death, you don't have to worry about aging

  481. because you have eternal life in Christ.

  482. The good news that Jesus reigns over anything that's going on in

  483. your life, He's over it. And the good news that you can

  484. have victory today and there's victory to come.

  485. The good news of all of that hinges on one thing, and that's

  486. you accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

  487. If you're here today and you've never accepted His free gift of

  488. grace, it's here. He's already died on the cross

  489. for all of your sins. His Spirit is here.

  490. And all you have to do is surrender your heart, say

  491. forgive me of my sins, and the price has already been paid.

  492. And He will save you, and He will give you His Spirit and His

  493. life. And you don't have to worry

  494. about the things around you. You don't have to worry about

  495. death. There's victory and resurrection

  496. in Christ. Christ resurrection means #1 we

  497. can live in victory today, say Amen.

  498. We can live in victory today #2 We can live eternally with

  499. Christ, say Amen. And #3 it means that Jesus

  500. reigns, our God reigns, say Amen.

  501. The chapter ends with this verse 54.

  502. Stand with me worship team, come on up.

  503. It ends by saying this. When the perishable has been

  504. clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality,

  505. then the saying that is written will come true.

  506. Death has been swallowed up in victory.

  507. Where O death is your victory? Where O death is your sting?

  508. The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

  509. But thanks be to God, he gives us victory through the our Lord

  510. Jesus Christ. Therefore, my brothers and

  511. sisters, stand firm, Let nothing move you.

  512. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because

  513. you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

  514. How do we respond to God's Word today #1 If you've never

  515. accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, He loves you.

  516. He paid a price on the cross for your sins, and His grace is

  517. available today. All you have to do is surrender

  518. your heart and allow Him to be your Lord and savior #2 Maybe

  519. you've already done that. Today you need to stand firm in

  520. your faith. Let nothing move you.

  521. Not aging, not losing pickleball matches, not the world around

  522. us, not political stuff. Let nothing move you, for your

  523. labor in the Lord is not in vain.

  524. I got good news. First Corinthians talks all

  525. about how, hey, if Jesus isn't raised from the dead, then we're

  526. just wasting our time. If Jesus isn't raised from the

  527. dead, then what are we doing here?

  528. Why do we care about any of this?

  529. The good news is this. Christ indeed is risen and

  530. nothing you do is in vain. When you show up on a Sunday

  531. morning and worship, it's not in vain.

  532. When you read your Bible, when you pray, it's not in vain.

  533. When you forgive your neighbor, it's not in vain because Jesus

  534. is risen, He's victorious. We're going to respond today

  535. and, and maybe your response is you need to give your heart to

  536. Jesus. Maybe you need to accept his

  537. grace. Maybe today you're struggling,

  538. maybe you got some anxiety or some struggle with something

  539. that's going on and you just need to lay it down at his feet.

  540. Maybe today you just need to stand there and you need to

  541. praise God and say you are King, you are victorious.

  542. All of us today need to give our hearts fully to Him to have his

  543. salvation, His love, his life. We can be victorious today and

  544. for endless days. We can sing his praise.

  545. We can spend eternity with Jesus.

  546. Let's respond to God's word. The altars are open.

  547. If you want to come pray, if you want to pray where you are, if

  548. you need someone to talk to, find someone to talk to.

  549. But let's respond to God's word. Let's worship the risen King.

  550. He is our victorious, triumphant King.

  551. Father, speak to us. Help us to respond to your word.

  552. Thank you Jesus for the blood, Thank you Jesus for what you did

  553. on the cross. But thank you Jesus, that you

  554. rose from the dead and that today we can have life and

  555. salvation and not just that, but transformation.

  556. You give us life today. We respond to your word now.

  557. We worship you with everything we have in Jesus name, Amen.
