  1. Well, good morning and welcome to you.

  2. It's good to see everybody this morning.

  3. I don't know if we have any guests, but if we do, welcome to

  4. New Life Community Church. If you don't know me, my name is

  5. Jasper. I'm the associate pastor here,

  6. but it looks like most people here are familiar so it is good

  7. to be with you all. Today we're going to be

  8. continuing through our Series in Psalms.

  9. We've been doing this for the last few years.

  10. During the summer will go through several different songs

  11. as a way of learning how to To align our hearts with God's

  12. heart. And so we're doing that again

  13. this summer. It's a great opportunity to let

  14. some of the other guys get up and preach and so it's always a

  15. good time. I love doing this.

  16. The Psalms are beautiful. And so today is no different.

  17. If you have your Bibles turn to Psalm 33, we're going to be

  18. reading Psalm 33 today. Now, I don't have a lot of

  19. background for you on Psalm 33, so we're not going to waste a

  20. lot of time with that today. Psalm 33 is a Psalm of praise,

  21. it was a song that was written, very much with joy and adoration

  22. for the Lord. It was not a Psalm of lament or

  23. anything like that. This is an upbeat Happy song and

  24. so we're going to see that in just a moment.

  25. We don't know who the author is. The author of Psalm 33 is

  26. unknown like many Psalms. That were not sure of the

  27. There's a lot of speculation that that could be David and

  28. rightly. So, but we just don't know, man.

  29. It's not really important at this point.

  30. What matters is what this Psalm is teaching us.

  31. And so we're going to take a close look at this today and

  32. just kind of dig for some some nuggets of gold in this Psalm if

  33. you will. So if you would, if you can

  34. stand with me and we're going to read Psalm 33 at this time,

  35. Shout for joy in the Lord. Oh you righteous.

  36. Praise befits. The upright, give thanks to the

  37. Lord with the liar, make Melody to him with the harp of ten

  38. strings. Sing to him.

  39. A new song play skillfully on the strings with loud.

  40. Shouts for the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is

  41. done in faithfulness, he loves righteousness.

  42. And Justice, the Earth is full of the steadfast.

  43. Love of the Lord by the word of the Lord, the heavens were made.

  44. And by the breath of his mouth, all their host, he gathers, the

  45. Waters of the sea as a heap, he puts the deeps, and storehouses,

  46. let all the Earth fear, the lord, let all the inhabitants of

  47. the world stand in awe of him. For he spoke.

  48. And it came to be, he commanded and it stood firm.

  49. The Lord brings the counsel of the nation's to nothing.

  50. He frustrates. The plans of the people's, the

  51. counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart

  52. to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God

  53. is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen, as his Heritage, the

  54. Lord looks down from heaven. He sees All the children of man,

  55. from where he sits enthroned. He looks out on all the

  56. inhabitants of the earth. He who fashioned the hearts of

  57. them all and observes their deeds, the king is not saved by

  58. his great Army. A warrior is not delivered by

  59. his great strength. The war horse is a false hope

  60. for salvation and by its great might, it cannot rescue.

  61. Behold the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him all those,

  62. who hope in his steadfast, love that he made the liver, their

  63. soul from death, and keep them alive and famine, our soul waits

  64. for the Lord. He is our help and our shield

  65. for our heart is glad and him because we trust in His holy

  66. name. Let your steadfast love O Lord

  67. be upon us even as we hope in you.

  68. Father, we love you and we praise you this morning.

  69. God, we're thankful for your word.

  70. We pray now that as we take a closer look at it that you just

  71. Pierce our hearts with your truth.

  72. You speak through me that you were honored and glorified

  73. through it all. We praise you this day in Jesus

  74. name. Amen be seated.

  75. So we see in Psalm 33, I don't know about your Bibles, but

  76. there's a title for it. Mine says, the steadfast love of

  77. the Lord and right off the bat. And the first few verses, we see

  78. reference to the Lord over and over, this got me thinking.

  79. Have you ever thought about what the word Lord actually means?

  80. What is a lord? What does it mean to be a lord?

  81. What what's the qualifications for being a?

  82. Oh Lord. What does that entail?

  83. And so, I don't know if any of you maybe by show of hands, how

  84. many people have seen Braveheart?

  85. Yeah. It's like the best movie ever,

  86. right? That's like one of my might be

  87. my favorite movie. So, in that movie, those of you

  88. have seen it, well no, but if you have it in that movie, no

  89. Gibson. Plays the character William

  90. Wallace, he's a Scotsman. And this is, you know, set way

  91. back in the day, when England still ruled Scotland, and it's

  92. about how Scotland gained its freedom at the time.

  93. So, William Wallace is the good guy.

  94. He's the, the protagonist in the movie.

  95. The bad guy is King, Edward Longshanks and if you've seen

  96. the movie you know that Longshanks was not a good King.

  97. Now he was pretty good at managing Resources by far.

  98. He was great at acquiring riches and more land and all of that

  99. but he was a tyrant. He was an evil Wicked King that

  100. ruled his people through fear and through a heavy hand, The

  101. people, his subjects of England and Scotland were more like

  102. slaves. And if you remember, I won't go

  103. into great detail in this but in the movie he even went so far as

  104. to Institute what's called Prima nocta.

  105. Which is where any time a man? And a woman got married, the

  106. local English officers had right to that woman first before her

  107. husband, which is what leads to the entire movie.

  108. It's just Preposterous and the people got fed up of that.

  109. So, I digress. The point is Longshanks was not

  110. a good King, he was an evil Tyrant that oppressed people.

  111. So as far as being a lord, he was not a good one.

  112. But we hear this a lot, especially back, then people

  113. would refer to a king or a master as Lord.

  114. They would say, what must I do for my Lord?

  115. What would my Lord have of me today?

  116. You see this? All in the Bible to you, see

  117. people greet one another that way.

  118. So Lord was always a title used and reverence for someone when

  119. you were submitting to someone you were pledging Your

  120. Allegiance to someone by calling them Lord.

  121. So, that begs the question we see in a guy, like Longshanks

  122. what looks like a bad Lord and a bad King.

  123. So what makes a good Lord, what makes a good King, I think that

  124. by looking at Psalm 33, we were going to get a very beautiful

  125. picture of what makes a good Lord, and King.

  126. And we will see that in the character of God and we all know

  127. that when it comes down to it, that's what makes a good lord.

  128. It's his character. It's how he rules his people.

  129. It's how he loves his people. What kind of man is he?

  130. And so we're going to get to see that in this song.

  131. Today we're going to get to see who God is.

  132. And this is all part of learning more about the Lord, so that we

  133. can align ourselves and align our hearts with his heart.

  134. So, Psalm 33 lays this out beautifully It starts out in

  135. verses 1 through 3, with a call to worship, just like what we

  136. do, every Sunday morning when we recite our call to worship, we

  137. do that. As a way of saying, look we're

  138. all sinners in this place. If you're a visitor here with us

  139. today, welcome, we're here because Jesus has saved us.

  140. He welcomes everybody here. So that's why we're here.

  141. Let's praise together this morning.

  142. That's our way of kind of just right out of the gate

  143. instituting. Like we're all here for the same

  144. purpose. None of us is better than the

  145. The other, let's all bow before the Lord and worship today,

  146. Psalm 33 verses 1 through 3 again, as they call to worship,

    Psalms 33:1–3

  147. if you'll notice the very first word and the very last word in

  148. verse 3 are, shout shout for joy in the Lord.

  149. Oh, you righteous, who is he talking to?

  150. He's talking to God's people. Those are the Righteous that I

  151. think the nasb says righteous ones.

  152. These are God's people. This is a call.

  153. All to praise and worship the Lord.

  154. And he's not just saying, hey, if you guys could, let's maybe

  155. stand and sing a little song to the Lord.

  156. Maybe Mumble a little bit of something under your breath.

  157. Now, he's saying, Shout. Shout to the Lord sing loudly.

  158. Get excited about it. This is a call to get pumped up

  159. about what God's done. The verses one through three are

  160. beautiful in this and it's calling us to use instruments,

  161. use instruments with strings, use the harp, use the liar, use,

  162. all these things, like whatever you can get your hands on, sing

  163. to God. Make Melody to him, get excited.

  164. You have reason to be. But that leads us to another

  165. question, right? Why, why should we praise the

  166. Lord? Why, why worship him, man?

  167. He's God, we know that but why? And the psalmist lays out,

  168. three, wonderful reasons to praise God.

  169. So, if you're taking notes, you can write this down, three

  170. reasons why, one through one through three, tell us to praise

  171. and we're going to see why in the next verses.

  172. And so, Number one. The first reason why we should

  173. praise the Lord in Verses 4 through 9, we see that the Lord

  174. is omnipotent. The Lord is omnipotent.

  175. It looks like omnipotent. What this means is all-powerful

  176. is all potent, is all-powerful, total power, not just a little,

  177. not just a lot all of it. God is all powerful.

  178. Verse 4 says, for the word of the Lord is upright, and all his

  179. work is done in faithfulness. The word of the Lord is upright.

  180. That means correct straight forward to the point, no flaws

  181. in it. This is God's word.

  182. It is. Up.

  183. Right? And it says, by his word, he

  184. created, we see in verses 6 through 8 9, all of that, that

  185. God spoke the world into existence, right by the word of

  186. the Lord, the heavens were made and by the breath of his mouth,

  187. all their hosts. Now, this isn't the only place

  188. we read about this, right? We've seen this in other places

  189. in scripture. A great, great example, or the

  190. best place might be in Genesis as we've learned about this in

  191. Sunday school Genesis 1, the very first verse of the Bible.

  192. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth and

  193. then you see subsequent verses on how he did it.

  194. It's just one after another of God said, let there be And then

  195. it became about, it came about verse 3.

  196. God said, let there be light and there was light verse 6.

  197. God, said, let there be an expanse, there was an expanse on

  198. and on, and on and on God said God said God said, so he created

  199. through his word, he spoke creation into existence.

  200. He did not have to work and toil for this to happen.

  201. He didn't even have to speak, but he chose to he created

  202. through speaking it into existence.

  203. Distance through his word. Now, this is what blows my mind

  204. that I still haven't fully comprehended.

  205. When it comes to God's word, John chapter, 1 tells us this in

  206. the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the

  207. Word was God. He was in the beginning with

  208. God. All things were made through him

  209. and without him was not anything made that was made.

  210. And then verse 14 says, and the word became flesh and dwelt

  211. among us. And we have seen his glory

  212. glory. As of the only son from the

  213. father full of grace and truth, So the word is a person and that

  214. person is Jesus Christ. He was with God in the

  215. beginning, the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, creating

  216. God, creating through the sun, through his holy word.

  217. But what we see in these verses that God is omnipotent, he is

  218. all-powerful He created by just speaking this world into

  219. existence and we've heard this so much, we take it for granted.

  220. When we walk out these doors, we take for granted a tree and how

  221. amazing a tree is or clouds in the sky or the fact that our sky

  222. is blue. We just have grown accustomed to

  223. these things. If you really think of our Sky

  224. could be green, our grass could be blue.

  225. Trees could be upside down where the roots are on top, but God

  226. didn't do it that way. He did it, the way it is.

  227. And we've just grown so accustomed to it.

  228. We walk right by but he spoke these things into existence.

  229. He's that powerful. Have you got any of you guys

  230. ever spoke something into existence?

  231. No, this is how amazing and Majestic God is that he can

  232. create just through his words. It is a supreme display of his

  233. power and his might and his majesty and it's amazing.

  234. We can't fathom it. There's no ends to it.

  235. There's no, there's no Plumbing the depths of God's power and

  236. his amazing ability. So in Verses 4 through 9, we see

  237. God's. Omnipotence is omnipotent now,

  238. verses 10 through 12. We see another reason we should

  239. Worship the Lord. Another one of his character

  240. qualities or his attributes. The Lord is omniscient

  241. omnipotent. And I believe, it's yeah.

  242. But going to be back here so you can spell it.

  243. We just sang about this. And one of our songs earlier God

  244. is omniscient. So, again, You see that word

  245. Omni at the beginning means all or total omniscient means

  246. all-knowing or all-wise. God is all wise and all-knowing.

  247. Look at verses 10 through 12, it says that the Lord brings the

  248. counsel of the nation's to nothing.

  249. He frustrates. The plans of the people's, the

  250. counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart

  251. to all generations. Plans Council.

  252. This is all talking about for us humans, our own ideas, our own

  253. thoughts of what's right and what's wrong and what would be

  254. best and saying that God takes that and he frustrates it, but

  255. God's plans, God's counsel stands forever.

  256. It's perfect. There is no flaw in God's Will

  257. and in God's way, amen. And we see this because he's

  258. omniscient. Now we can see pretty clearly.

  259. If you I think you all would agree with me that we can see

  260. looking at our economy right now not going to talk about politics

  261. but I think we can agree if we look at our economy that the

  262. plans of man will always fail when they are not rooted and

  263. grounded in God's Will and God's word.

  264. Amen. Anytime anytime, if you look

  265. throughout human history at this world and you see great

  266. civilizations, that became Mighty nation's most of the

  267. time. Those were founded in started on

  268. Christianity. All God's will God's word and

  269. then they diverted from that and it all fell apart.

  270. God's plan and God's counsel is the only perfect way because he

  271. is omniscient and we are not. If you look back and verse 5, it

  272. says that he loves righteousness and Justice.

  273. And we know that God is perfect. If there is no flaw in the Lord.

  274. And so he is perfectly righteous and perfectly.

  275. Just so of course, his will. And his plan is going to be

  276. perfect because there is no flaw in him.

  277. Now, we can at times, try to be righteous or try to be just but

  278. we're Sinners. And so, every single thing we do

  279. is marred and stained by that sinful nature that we still

  280. carry. We can never be perfectly just

  281. or perfectly righteous. Although we might try and so our

  282. plans will fail. Our council is, never the wisest

  283. counsel, but God's plan will God's will prevails because he

  284. is omniscient, he is all-knowing.

  285. Owing all-wise. Proverbs 19 verse 21 says that

    Proverbs 19:21

  286. many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose

  287. of the Lord that will stand. I don't know about you, but

  288. there have been many times in my own life that I've thought a

  289. certain direction was the right way to go.

  290. And I've followed that only to find out later that that was not

  291. what I should have done. I should have sought the Lord

  292. sought his will for my life and followed his path.

  293. Leave it up to me every single time I'm going to mess it up.

  294. God's ways are higher. I can't comprehend the depth of

  295. his wisdom. I don't understand why he does

  296. things the way he does. But I trust him because he's God

  297. and I'm not. And so it does as well.

  298. To remember this and to follow God's path.

  299. Follow his word, follow his will.

  300. If we do, there's a direct result.

  301. Look at verse 12. Blessed is the nation, whose God

  302. is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen, as his Heritage, we

  303. know, as I've already mentioned that when a nation went to,

  304. people will humble themselves before the Lord seek his will

  305. and follow him. That Nation will be blessed.

  306. Now, in this passage, this is a reference to Israel, of course.

  307. Yes, but it just, it doesn't just apply to Israel.

  308. This still applies to us today. It's common sense that that

  309. would make sense that if a nation will follow the lord, it

  310. will be blessed. But we also know that not

  311. everyone who is a descendant of Abraham as a child of Abraham,

  312. amen. It's the children, faith that

  313. are children of Abraham that are children of Israel.

  314. And so we are that we are children of faith.

  315. We share that, that heritage And so, if we will humble ourselves

  316. and follow the lord, we will be blessed.

  317. But ladies and gentlemen, I can tell you that we are in the

  318. minority in our nation anymore as Christians.

  319. And so we have a large task ahead of us to stand firm.

  320. In our faith, stand for our faith, the preach, the gospel

  321. and evangelize everywhere. We go, this isn't just a Sunday

  322. morning lifestyle. We take the gospel into our

  323. workplace, into our home, wherever we go, let me spread

  324. the gospel because we know that God's ways are higher and this

  325. leads to true blessing and true life.

  326. The third reason that we can Worship the Lord that, if that,

  327. we should want to praise God and worship him, is that, the Lord

  328. is omnipresent, Verses 13 through 19.

  329. You see that the Lord is omnipresent.

  330. Look at these verses. The Lord looks down from heaven.

  331. He sees all the children of man from here.

  332. He sits enthroned. He looks out on all the

  333. inhabitants of the earth. He who Fashions?

  334. The hearts of them all, and he observes their deeds.

  335. And then, in verse 18, behold, the eye of the Lord is on those

  336. who fear Him. So, we just see over and over

  337. this idea of the Lord seeing and watching and looking This shows

  338. that God is omnipresent, God is not limited by space and time to

  339. one place. God can be everywhere at the

  340. same time. We know that the Holy Spirit

  341. lives inside all of us, right? But God can be everywhere.

  342. He's, he knows the future. He knows the past, he's not

  343. limited by space and time. Psalm 139 verse 7 says this,

    Psalms 139:7

  344. where shall I go from your spirit or where shall I?

  345. Flee from your presence. If I Ascend into heaven, you

  346. were there. If I make my bed and she'll you

  347. were there, if I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the

  348. uttermost parts of the sea, even there.

  349. Your hand shall lead me. And your right hand shall hold

  350. me. God is everywhere.

  351. We cannot Escape The Gaze of the Lord.

  352. He discerns. All, he sees all he knows all

  353. Verses 16 and 17 say that the king is not saved by his army.

  354. The warrior not delivered by a strength and that the war horse

  355. is a false hope for salvation, even by its great light, it

  356. cannot rescue. Our hope is not in back then.

  357. And even now our hope is not, in Kings, our hope is not in

  358. Warriors. Our hope is not in war horses.

  359. Is mighty and Majestic, as they may be, our hope is not in

  360. presidents. Our hope is not in armies.

  361. Our hope is not in planes and tanks or any of that.

  362. Our hope is In Christ Alone, Christ, and Christ Alone.

  363. That is where our hope comes from.

  364. That is where our Salvation comes from, and no one else can

  365. offer this. No, King no president, no

  366. Nation, no Army will save you. Christ, Alone can save you and

  367. he sees and discerns. All he is always with us.

  368. Always watching. And this is what's beautiful.

  369. Look at verses 18 and 19. The eye of the Lord is on those

  370. who fear Him on those, who hope in his steadfast love that, he

  371. may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive and

  372. famine. Anytime you see that word that

  373. like like that you could put a so in front of it.

  374. So that the Lord is watching, he's watching those who fear

  375. Him. Now we know the word fear can

  376. mean to be afraid of and absolutely a god, this power

  377. Powerful. And this wise in this

  378. all-knowing, I do. I that does strike a little fear

  379. in my heart as a sinner. I don't want to be under that,

  380. Judgment of that God but fear. Also in this context, means to

  381. Revere to have a reverence and respect for and an all four.

  382. And that's why it tells us to be in all of him, just astonished

  383. it is greatness. God Is Watching.

  384. He is waiting for those who will put their trust and their hope

  385. and their their fear in him so that he can deliver them.

  386. So that he can deliver them. He's not doing this like a

  387. Longshanks Tyrant that just wants to to come down on people

  388. and Rule us with a heavy hand. He's watching so that when we

  389. cast our cares and Our Hope on him, he can save us from our

  390. sins. That should, that should be a

  391. reason for us to praise God. To know that when I don't know

  392. where else to turn. I don't know what to Hope in her

  393. trust when I turned to the Lord. He's there waiting, he's

  394. watching, he's eager to save. To forgive.

  395. He's always there. He knows all he's all-powerful,

  396. he sees all nothing is hidden from his eye.

  397. And so because God is all-powerful, he's omnipotent

  398. because God is all knowing, he's omniscient and because God is

  399. everywhere, and he sees all and discerns, all, he's omnipresent

  400. his counsel never fails, his will is perfect, his way is good

  401. and salvation everlasting life Waits on us.

  402. If we will align ourselves and align our hearts with his.

  403. If we will seek the Lord and seek to live our lives like

  404. Christ, that's what Waits For Us.

  405. Blessing, as we see a nation that fears, the Lord will be

  406. blessed, will be saved when we call on the Lord.

  407. This is what awaits those who trust and hope and God.

  408. And so, for those of us who have done that, we have reason to

  409. Rejoice, we've been saved God's blessed us and that's what this

  410. song is all about. When we remember the goodness of

  411. God and the greatness of God his power.

  412. Our in his mind, and his wisdom, it shouldn't make us fear him.

  413. Like be afraid of him. It should make us excited

  414. because this is our King. This is our Lord.

  415. Not a Longshanks, but Jesus Christ.

  416. Look at verses 20 through 22. Because of these things because

  417. of God's amazing character and attributes.

  418. We wait for the Lord, our soul waits, for the Lord for he is

  419. our help. He is our Shield.

  420. Our heart is glad in him because we trust in him.

  421. In His holy name. let your steadfast love O, Lord be upon

  422. us even as we hope in you we wait we trust and we hope We

  423. pray, we fast. We wait knowing that I don't

  424. understand God's ways all the time but I know for a fact that

  425. he's good but he's wise that he's powerful and so I trust and

  426. I hope and I'll wait and I'll pray and I'm patient I call out

  427. to him. He is the only one worthy of Our

  428. Praise. Amen.

  429. He's the only one worthy of our worship.

  430. We are sinners our Council will fail.

  431. We are not all-powerful, we are not all wise who are not

  432. all-knowing, but God is, and because of this, because of his

  433. amazing character, his majesty and Splendor, we can gladly

  434. submit to that King said that Lord and say I will follow this

  435. King, I will follow this Lord because not only is he amazing,

  436. not only is he powerful but he loves me.

  437. He loves me. I will gladly submit to that.

  438. King gladly follow him to the depths of hell if I have to but

  439. thankfully I don't have to worship team.

  440. You guys can come back up. I'm going to wrap this up.

  441. I want to point out something. that's not even in this song,

  442. but I think we have to mention Psalm 33 paints a really

  443. beautiful picture of God's character that Absol.

  444. Absolutely should elicit. Praise from us.

  445. It's it should cause us. To want to worship him when we

  446. remember all these things. It's so easy to forget, God's

  447. majesty and his power and his wisdom.

  448. So easy to forget. So when we remember these things

  449. and we read a Psalm like this, it should it should make us want

  450. to say, wow, what an amazing God.

  451. We serve hallelujah. Thank you.

  452. Lord, that I get the privilege to worship you.

  453. But perhaps the most amazing attribute or quality that God

  454. shows is not any of these. Perhaps his most amazing.

  455. Attribute, is his great love for us.

  456. Romans 5:8 says that God demonstrates his love for us in

    Romans 5:8

  457. this while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

  458. That is why we trust him. That is why we put our hope and

  459. our faith in him because not only is he a, is he a powerful

  460. wise King? Worthy of adoration?

  461. But even though he is so powerful and wise and worthy of

  462. adoration, he humbled himself and gave his son to be murdered

  463. for us. He's not a Lord and a king that

  464. demands praise and adoration and demands that we be in subjection

  465. to him. He is a king that freely offers

  466. life to all that. Want it a free gift to us.

  467. Calling Christ. Lord is not a burden.

  468. Not like being under the lordship of a Longshanks calling

  469. Christ. Lord is freedom, and it is only

  470. there that we will find true Freedom.

  471. He tells us in Matthew 11:28 through 30, come to me, all you,

    Matthew 11:28–30

  472. who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

  473. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for.

  474. I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your

  475. souls. For my yoke is easy.

  476. And my burden is light. You guys know that if a yoke is

  477. the wooden part, they would put on the ox, to pull carts and

  478. stuff. And so he's saying, look, my

  479. yoke is easy and my burden is light.

  480. If you're tired, if you're weary come to Christ, he is

  481. all-powerful all-wise all-knowing All-Seeing, but he

  482. humbles himself enough to come live and take on flesh and die

  483. for us. That's a king I can submit to.

  484. That is a king. I will give my life to And

  485. that's what were called to do. This song should make us want to

  486. do that pledge. Our entire life, to Jesus

  487. Christ, to being a follower of Christ giving ourselves to him

  488. fully. So I beg you, I'm pleased with

  489. you this morning if you have not ever done that to do.

  490. So put your trust in your faith and your hope in Christ Pledge,

  491. Your Life to him, be his follower, but understand that,

  492. to do this, you were submitting to his rule to his lordship.

  493. You are no longer king of your own life.

  494. You're gladly submitting to his Rule and reign.

  495. If you have never done this, I beg you to do it.

  496. And if you have Then remember remember who he is, remember his

  497. great attributes, and how powerful and Majestic, he is,

  498. and his love for you and what he did for you already, remember

  499. that and praise him this morning.

  500. Praise him, do that. And one great way that we

  501. remember what the Lord has done for us is through communion

  502. which is also known as the Lord's Supper.

  503. This is a supper we do in honor of our Lord and King I'm going

  504. to pray for us in just a moment. Then Kyle's going to come up and

  505. lead us through communion but I want to encourage you all.

  506. If you're a believer in this place, take this opportunity

  507. during the Lord's Supper to remember is his character and

  508. who he is as God. And remember what he did for you

  509. and then we sing do. What Psalm 33 says in verses 12.

  510. Verses three that first and last word was what?

  511. Shout Shout to the Lord this morning.

  512. Don't whisper it. Don't sing under your breath

  513. because you're afraid somebody besides, he's going to hear you

  514. off-key who cares? Sing to the top of your lungs.

  515. Almost to a god that deserves your worship this morning.

  516. Amen. Pray with me.

  517. Lord, we love you. We praise you.

  518. We thank you. God, for today, we thank you for

  519. your holy word. We thank you most of all for

  520. your character. We thank you for your son.

  521. Jesus. God, we're grateful that you

  522. were a Lord and a king that loves us and that rules the easy

  523. yolk and an easy burden. And God we gladly submit to you

  524. today. I pray for anyone in this place

  525. it is never trusted you that they would do so.

  526. Now I would love you and we praise you in Jesus name.

  527. Amen. I would love you and we praise

  528. you in Jesus name. Amen.
