  1. Good morning everyone. How are we doing this morning?

  2. I want to Echo call this morning and thank you for being here.

  3. Thank you for choosing to, to be with us to worship with us.

  4. My name is James one of the Elder candidates here.

  5. And today we are going to be in the Book of James once again.

  6. And we're going to be on chapter 3, James chapter 3

    James 3 chapter mention

  7. Today is one of those scriptures that I think that. these are the

  8. times that you need to make sure you have your Big Boar in big

  9. girl pants on. This is not this is definitely

  10. not a Fluff text today. Today I we're going to Endeavor

  11. to break this down and and here we'll see this as we get into

  12. the into the text James's, I believe is speaking to here in a

  13. taxi speaking to a specific group of people.

  14. However the scripture and the texts are applicable to any any

  15. believer. Any believer that desires to

  16. follow after Christ desires to, as we've been studying the Book

  17. of James to look into God's perfect law, the perfect law of

  18. Liberty and to walk away from from that and be doers of God's

  19. word and not just hearers only this, it's his whole, his whole

  20. book. Around that theme of being a

  21. doer of God's word. Actually putting feet and hands

  22. through the work of Christ. It's not it's it's not just the

  23. proclamation that I say. I am a believer.

  24. It's I show that I'm a Believer. Jesus said that way that the

  25. people were no them was their love for one another and how

  26. they treated one another and the same same still goes for us

  27. today and James. Has here in his book is a very

  28. practical guide to Christian Living it is a way to for us to

  29. look and gauge where we are in our walk with Christ.

  30. We're we're we're at our strengths our weaknesses the

  31. things that we need to work on and today is is a is a group of

  32. text that I leave is Something very important and it's on

  33. taming the tongue, the words that are coming out of her

  34. mouth. So the word tame, talk about

  35. taming the tongue. The word team means reduced from

  36. a state of native wildness, especially.

  37. So, as to be useful to humans, To be made.

  38. Docile and submissive that transitive verb of the word team

  39. is the word tamed or taming and it means this to reduce From a

  40. wild. To a domestic state to subject

  41. to cultivation, to bring under control to deprive of spirit,

  42. which means to make humble or to sidhu.

  43. So when we were talking about taming the tongue, we're taking

  44. something that is naturally. Wild naturally uncontrollable

  45. and talking about learning how to control the words coming out

  46. of our mouth. To be able to get back, we'll

  47. get in this as we get into. Think about what we think about.

  48. because our thoughts become our words, Amen.

  49. Someone. If you ever been upset and you

  50. say something and instantly you say it and you regret saying it.

  51. As soon as it comes out of your mouth, you're like, trying to

  52. grabbing but it's too late. It's gone.

  53. It's out. And we may say, you know, to

  54. that person, we're talking to, you know, I'm sorry, I don't

  55. know why I said that got that's not me.

  56. Well yeah that was you because it came out of you. our words is

  57. a very good gauge of where we are, you know, walk with Christ,

  58. it's tells us where we need to work on and this is something

  59. that we're going to be working on forever.

  60. Amen. So this tame and the tongue is

  61. is work and it takes hard work. As a phrase, I've learned in

  62. from the book of disciplines of a Godly Man, it takes holey

  63. sweat, it takes perseverance. Taemin our tongue will not

  64. happen overnight. We're not happen by simply

  65. praying more or reading the Bible more or going to church

  66. more. It will require all of these

  67. things and so much more. It will require being diligent

  68. to think about what we think about for what we think about we

  69. speak. Jesus said that out of the

  70. abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

  71. Matthew 12:34 talking to the religious leaders of the day.

    Matthew 12:34

  72. Jesus said, you brood of vipers, how can you speak good when you

  73. are evil for out of the abundance of the heart, the

  74. mouth speaks. And Jesus also said that it is

  75. what comes out of the man that defiles him and after the

  76. Pharisees and scribes had Badger Jesus about his disciples eating

  77. corn without washing their hands.

  78. He went on to teach in Parables and then he goes and he sets and

  79. his disciples came to him and said you know, what does these

  80. Parables mean? And Mark chapter 7 verses 18 to

    Mark 7:18–23

  81. 23, he responds to his disciples he says and he said to them,

  82. Then are you also without understanding?

  83. Do you not see that whatever goes into our person from

  84. outside? Cannot defile him since that

  85. enters into his heart, since it enters not his heart but his

  86. stomach and he's expelled and he said, what comes out of a person

  87. is what defiles him for from within out of the heart of man

  88. come evil thoughts, sexual immorality theft.

  89. Left murder, adultery coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality

  90. and envy. Slander Pride, foolishness all

  91. these evil things come from within and they defile a person.

  92. So I set before you today, this as I said, it's a lifelong

  93. journey. Taming our tongue is a journey

  94. that will in case our entire life, it is a daily Quest that

  95. we must embark on. We must choose on as Paul stated

  96. that he must die. Daily everyday.

  97. We must choose To control our words.

  98. We must choose to think about what we think about to gauge.

  99. What is in our hearts to fight the temptation.

  100. To just let our words be filled with anger instead of love.

  101. To fight against our natural natural, inclination to have

  102. things our way because our way is the best way.

  103. Amen. I'm a I'm a call.

  104. I may need a little bit more shielding now here this morning.

  105. Amen. Okay, let's get this continue.

  106. Okay. We have to learn to put our

  107. preferences aside because we all have our own preferences.

  108. And know it becomes a joke but you know silly things have tour

  109. churches apart. Silly things as carpet color.

  110. Whether we're going to sing holding hymnals are saying offer

  111. offer screen. so many things of how we how we do this and do

  112. that because it's all personal preference, but what we have to

  113. do, Is make God's word, our Authority.

  114. Because our personal preferences in the light of God's word,

  115. doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

  116. We can have our own preferences. But if our preferences don't

  117. line up with God's word or preferences need to change a man

  118. and I'll get in I'll get into more of that in a minute.

  119. So as we live out our mission statement that we exist to

  120. glorify God by making disciples who grow in their faith in Jesus

  121. and their love for one another. We must use Godly wisdom to

  122. guide our words. Our group, our growth as a

  123. community of Believers, can seriously be stunted by the

  124. words that tear down, instead of lifting up.

  125. So today, I just ask for you to focus and listen to the voice of

  126. the holy spirit this morning. As, as I'm up here and I speak,

  127. I can be like the teacher on Charlie Brown.

  128. If you've ever seen the Charlie Brown's teacher speaks and all

  129. you hear is won't won't won't, won't that may all you here?

  130. This morning coming out of my mouth but allow the Holy Spirit

  131. to speak to you. As you hear the truth of God's

  132. word and let it dictate how you go from this point and how you

  133. choose your thoughts and your words, a man, let's pray.

  134. Father, I praise you, I magnify you, I worship you.

  135. I thank you for the awesome privilege that we have two

  136. common together, assemble ourselves, father together to

  137. lift one another up to just be Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

  138. father today, I ask that you will Soften our hearts, soften

  139. our beliefs, our preferences. Father, help us to hear your

  140. word. Help us to hear your truth this

  141. morning. Help us as we are on this Quest

  142. as individuals but also as a corporate body, father to, to

  143. tame our tongues. To control what we say and how

  144. we say it. And father I give you honor and

  145. glory and praise. Amen.

  146. So today James chapter 3 and we're going to be reading verses

    James 3 chapter mention

  147. 1 through 18. The whole the whole chapter.

  148. If you're able if you stand for the reading of God's word.

  149. James 3:1. Not many of you should become

    James 3:1

  150. teachers my brother's for, you know, that we who teach will be

  151. judged with greater strictness for we all stumble in many ways.

  152. And if anyone does not stumble, and what he says he is a perfect

  153. man, able also to Bridle his whole body, if we put bits into

  154. the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their

  155. whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also though.

  156. They are so large and driven by strong winds.

  157. They are Guided by a very small Rudder, wherever the will of the

  158. pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small

  159. member yet it boast of great things.

  160. How great a forest is set, Ablaze by such a small fire and

  161. the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness, the tongue is

  162. set among our members staying in the whole body setting on fire.

  163. The entire course of life and set on fire by hell, for every

  164. kind of mankind. Every kind of Beast and bird and

  165. reptile. Reptile and sea creature Can Be

  166. Tamed and has been tamed by mankind.

  167. But no human being can tame the tongue.

  168. It is a Restless evil full of deadly poison with it.

  169. We bless our Lord and father and with it, we curse people who are

  170. made in the likeness of God from the same mouth.

  171. Come blessing and cursing. My brothers these things out not

  172. to be so does the spring pour forth?

  173. The same from the same opening both fresh and salt water can a

  174. fig tree, my brother's been Are olives or a grapevine.

  175. Produce figs, neither kind of Salt, Pond.

  176. Yield fresh water. Verse 13, who is wise and

  177. understanding among you by his Good Conduct.

  178. Let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.

  179. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your

  180. hearts do not boast and be false to the truth.

  181. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above but is

  182. Earthly unspiritual demonic for a jealousy and selfish ambition

  183. exist. There will be disorder, and

  184. every vile practice. The wisdom from above is first

  185. pure then Peaceable. Gentle open to reason full of

  186. mercy and good fruits impartial and sincere and a harvest of

  187. righteousness is shown is sown in Peace by those who make

  188. peace, you may be seated this morning, So the big ideal that I

  189. want to get across to you. This morning, is this, by

  190. allowing Godly wisdom to God or words.

  191. We can be a doer of God's word. By speaking words, that lift

  192. people up instead of tearing them down.

  193. By allowing Godly wisdom to guide our hearts.

  194. We can be a doer of God's word. By speaking words, that lift

  195. people up instead of tearing them down.

  196. Being a doer of God's word is the central theme of the book of

  197. James. And once again, he does not,

  198. he's not starting a new line of thought here.

  199. And we finished up last week in Chapter 2, talking about faith

  200. without works is dead. The very last text on the very

  201. last sentence here in chapter 2 verse 26.

  202. It says for as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also

  203. Faith apart from works is dead and he goes straight into not

  204. many should become teachers. This here in verse 1 and 2 will

  205. look at it again. It says not many of you shall

  206. become should become teachers my brother's for, you know, that we

  207. who teach will be judged with greater strictness verse 24.

  208. We all stumble in many ways but if anyone does not stumble, and

  209. what he says he is a perfect man, able also to Bridle his

  210. whole body. So raise your hand, if you're

  211. Fect this morning. Not anybody raise their hand.

  212. Why? Because we all struggle.

  213. We all struggle at times by the words that are coming out of her

  214. mouth. Amen, I want you to look at two

  215. two words here. From verse 1, the word, meaning

  216. in the word, become not many of you should become teachers.

  217. James says, It says here, the word become means.

  218. The meaning of this word means to come into existence, begin to

  219. be to arise come up on a stage or to be made.

  220. So, apparently many people were lifting their own selves up to

  221. be teachers without God's calling. for a says, many of you

  222. shit, many of you who should not many of you should become

  223. teachers, he goes on and he tells them that for, you know,

  224. We who teach will be judged with greater strictness. so, we have

  225. to realize That a Biblical teacher, that is being talked

  226. about this word. Teacher is one who teaches

  227. concerning the things of God and the duties of man it's one who

  228. is fitted to teach or at least thinks he is.

  229. It is someone who under who undertakes the work of teaching

  230. with the spiritual assistance of the Holy Spirit.

  231. A Biblical teacher is not a person, but a position, it's a

  232. calling. A Biblical teacher is not a

  233. person. It is a calling it is a position

  234. Ephesians chapter 4 verse 11. It says and he speaking of Jesus

    Ephesians 4:11

  235. gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the Shepherds

  236. and teachers, it's for the work of the ministry, it's for

  237. teaching and leading the church. It says there in Ephesians

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  238. chapter 4 so God gave these positions.

  239. Not man, God. And he calls people to fill

  240. these positions. So that the church can be made

  241. complete. So the church can be able to be

  242. made to go out and do what the works of Christ.

  243. The same thing that James is talking about here, being a doer

  244. of God's word and not a hearer only So these people were

  245. apparently lifting themselves up. because, They wanted to use

  246. their words. to blast others, but he ones them said, hey, you

  247. remember we who teach Where held?

  248. Two more strictness. The Book of Ezekiel chapter 3

    Ezekiel 3:17–21

  249. verses 17 through 21. God is speaking to his Ezekiel

  250. and he says this son of man, I have made you a Watchman for the

  251. house of Israel. Whoever you whenever you hear a

  252. word from my mouth you shall give them warning for me.

  253. If I say to the wicked, you shall surely die and you give

  254. him, no warning. Nor speak to warn the wicked

  255. from his Wicked way in order to save his life that Wicked person

  256. shall die for his iniquity. But his blood, I will require at

  257. your hand but if you want the wicked and he does not turn from

  258. his wickedness or from his Wicked way, he shall die for his

  259. iniquity but you have delivered your soul.

  260. So again if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and

  261. commits Injustice and I lay a stumbling block before him, he

  262. shall die. Because you have not warned him,

  263. he shall die for his sin and his righteous Deeds that he has done

  264. at and his righteousness that he has done, shall not be

  265. remembered but his blood, I will require at your hand.

  266. But if you warn the righteous person not to sin and he does

  267. not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning and you

  268. have delivered your soul. And this goes directly back to

  269. the sin of partiality. That we studied about here in

  270. the book of James. It is lifting our own selves up.

  271. To make others look less than us.

  272. You ever been around someone that no matter what you're

  273. talking about or what anybody else in the room is talking

  274. about, they've always done done that.

  275. Oh yeah, I've done that and they've always done it better.

  276. Their story is better than the person telling the original

  277. story because, you know, they, you know, that goes back to

  278. illegitimate shame. We're not going to get into that

  279. this morning, but you know that person, you know feels

  280. threatened. By that person success.

  281. So they have to one-up them. Hey, ma'am.

  282. And that's what these people were doing here.

  283. That James was talking to here. They were, they were trying to

  284. lift themselves up to make themselves look better.

  285. So they were showing partiality because they were targeting

  286. these people and trying to make them.

  287. They were trying to point out their sin instead of and at what

  288. that same time, ignoring their own, it talks about for the

  289. tongue to be so little it can do so much damage.

  290. Image. And he gives a reference here

  291. about Putting a small bit in a horse's mouth and how a small

  292. Rudder controls the ship. And even though the tongue is a

  293. little part of the body, it can do a world of hurt.

  294. And our tongues is set on fire by hell.

  295. We must remember what it says. In Proverbs chapter, 18 verses

  296. 20 through 21. It says this.

  297. From the fruit of a man's mouth. His stomach is satisfied.

  298. He is satisfied satisfied by the yield of his lips and this word

  299. satisfied doesn't mean necessarily as satisfied in a

  300. good way. It means he has to settle for

  301. what he comes out of his mouth, he's going to live with that.

  302. Death in life. Or in the power of the tongue

  303. and those who love it, will eat its fruit death and life are in

  304. the power of our words. We can up we can uplift or we

  305. can tear down. We can tell a person.

  306. We can complement that person. We can we can just be an

  307. encourager to that person. Or we can be that detriment that

  308. person and the choice is ours because we control, we can

  309. control the words. Come out of her mouth takes

  310. work, takes hard work. It's not something that we it's

  311. going to happen overnight. So I said earlier, it's not just

  312. reading your Bible, more praying, more coming to church

  313. more, you think it's going to help, you know, it's going to

  314. cure, all cure all ailments. That's not, that's not true.

  315. It takes that. Absolutely, but it takes

  316. dedication. It takes perseverance to push

  317. every day. To think about what I'm thinking

  318. about. Because our thoughts become a

  319. words or thoughts become our actions and our thoughts,

  320. determine our lives. Course, we determine we

  321. determine if we have a life of Joy or a life of misery, By the

  322. thoughts that are in our minds, amen.

  323. But it says, the tongue is set on fire by hell.

  324. And yet it boast of great things.

  325. Let's look at verses 5 and 6 here in chapter 3, it says this.

  326. So also the tongue is a small member, get it boast of great

  327. things. How great a forest is set,

  328. Ablaze by such a small fire verse 6.

  329. And the tongue is a fire, a world of our own righteousness.

  330. The tongue is set up among our members staying in the whole

  331. body sitting on fire. The entire course of life and

  332. set on fire by Hill, anybody read?

  333. Week or so ago, maybe a couple of weeks ago of an incident

  334. where people were gathered for some festival and someone threw

  335. out a cigarette butt, caught the grass on fire and it burned up

  336. 70 cars. Just a simple end of a cigarette

  337. butt that used carelessly tossed aside.

  338. Caught the grass on fire and ended up burning 70 people's

  339. cars up. That's what our tongue can do.

  340. That is the power of life and death.

  341. And it's right here. It's in my tongue, it's in your

  342. tongue. Says that they boast that boast

  343. of great things. This this boasting is a

  344. self-promoting of themselves because of Pride and their self

  345. promoting themselves over others.

  346. Like what Matthew Henry says here about verses five and six

  347. he says to dread an uncontrollable tongue, that's

  348. one of the greatest and most harmful evils.

  349. There is such great sin in the tongue, that it may be called a

  350. world of iniquity. James 36, the tongue is said,

  351. among our members staying in the whole body sitting on fire.

  352. The entire course of life and set on fire by Hill, he

  353. continues. The whole body is often drawn

  354. into sin and guilt by the Tongue, the Affairs of the human

  355. race and of communities often thrown into confusion.

  356. And all set on fire by human tongues.

  357. Hell has more to do in furthering the fire.

  358. The tongue than people are generally aware of when it is

  359. set on fire by Hill, as is in all undo passion, it is

  360. troublesome producing rage and hatred and those things that

  361. serve Satan's purposes, I like this phrase, hear that?

  362. When it is set on fire by hell as it is in as it is in all undo

  363. passion. It's when When your emotions are

  364. running High. What comes out of your mouth?

  365. Do you think about what you're thinking about when you're mad

  366. at your spouse? When you're upset at this hurts?

  367. For me when you're upset? You have road rage driving down

  368. the highway. That that stepped on my toes is

  369. then what comes out of our mouth because what comes out of our

  370. mouths is what is our in our hearts.

  371. If it's not in our hearts it's not going to come out you man.

  372. So it's in a hard. So we have to, we have to, we

  373. have to watch this. Now, this goes directly back to

  374. James chapter 1 verses 19 through 22.

    James 1:19–22

  375. It says, says, this know this, my beloved Brothers, let every

  376. person be quick to hear slow to speak, slow to anger for the

  377. anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God,

  378. therefore, put away all filthiness and Rapid wickedness

  379. and receive with meekness the implanted word.

  380. Which is able to save your souls, but be doers of the word

  381. and not hearers only deceiving yourselves.

  382. Quick to hear slow to speak. Slow to anger.

  383. We need to slow down. We need to actually hear what

  384. people are saying. And then respond in a Godly way,

  385. led by Godly wisdom. Not worldly, wisdom, a man not

  386. by all on preferences, own preferences, can get ourselves

  387. in trouble. Here in here, in back in James

  388. and chapter 3 and verses 7 through 12, it says, for every

  389. kind of Beast and bird of reptile and sea creature Can Be

  390. Tamed and has been tamed by mankind but no human being can

  391. tame the tongue. It is a Restless evil full of

  392. deadly poison with it. We bless our Lord and father and

  393. with it, we curse people who are made in the likeness of God for

  394. From the same mouth, come blessing and cursing.

  395. My brothers, these things out not to be so.

  396. There's a spring pour forth. The same opening from the same

  397. opening, both fresh and salt water, and a fig tree.

  398. My brother's bear olives or or Grapevine.

  399. Produced figs. Neither, can I Salt?

  400. Pond yield freshwater. This in verse 8, this word, West

  401. Restless. When talks about a Restless

  402. evil, the word Restless means unstable, who remembers What the

  403. person is called in James chapter 1 verses 5 through 8.

    James 1:5–8

  404. The asked for wisdom, but didn't he has to believe not doubting

  405. because if he doubts He is unstable in all his ways.

  406. This is the same same, same thing here this Restless, it's

  407. an unstable nature. Someone lacking wisdom.

  408. They may have Earthly wisdom but they don't have Godly wisdom.

  409. So that the tongue is a Restless evil.

  410. It, someone that is unstable. And they, you can tell it by the

  411. words and this phrase, deadly, poison means they use words to

  412. hurt people. However, when you get on, in the

  413. verse 13, we get some. We get some good news here verse

  414. 13. It says, who is wise and

  415. understanding among you by his Good Conduct.

  416. Let him show. His good works, show his works

  417. and the meekness of wisdom, but if you have bitter jealousy, and

  418. you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts,

  419. do not boast and be false to the truth.

  420. This goes back to verse 1 here in chapter 3, that many of them

  421. should not become teachers because they says, who is wise

  422. and understanding among you By his Good Conduct, let him show

  423. his Works. What works are those that is

  424. teaching God's word in the meekness of wisdom and this is

  425. that Godly wisdom that we can ask for according to James

    James 1 chapter mention

  426. chapter 1. If you lack wisdom asked, and

  427. God will give it to you liberally, A man, but we have to

  428. believe that. He goes on This Bitter, jealousy

  429. and selfish ambition in your hearts do not boast.

  430. Do not, do not try to lift yourself up, do not try to do

  431. not try to teach and be be false to the truth.

  432. He goes on, this is not the wisdom that comes down from

  433. above. But is Earthly unspiritual

  434. demonic for a jealousy and selfish ambition exist.

  435. There will be disorder and every vow practice.

  436. But the wisdom from above is first pure then Peaceable gentle

  437. open to reason full of mercy and good fruits impartial and

  438. sincere. There's that word impartial

  439. again. And a harvest of righteousness,

  440. is sown in Peace by those who make peace verse 13.

  441. This speaks of the true God called teacher.

  442. That many were not up or not according to James chapter 3

    James 3:1

  443. verse 1. These were people that did have.

  444. Bitterness and jealousy that did exist in their life.

  445. They should not teach others. Why?

  446. Because if we have bitterness and jealousy, if I have

  447. bitterness and jealousy in my heart, if I have selfish

  448. ambition, it's going to come out.

  449. In my speech, the way I talk to people and in my teaching.

  450. Amen. So we someone that has those

  451. things should not teach Paul instructed, you know, Timothy

  452. and Titus that when they were appointed Elders, you know, one

  453. of the things about the elders, one of the qualifications, you

  454. know, that he mentions is not having selfish ambition, you

  455. know, he's encouraging the elders, don't don't do it.

  456. It for selfish ambition but do it as unto the Lord Do It

  457. willingly. I know I've used this analogy

  458. before, I usually Wednesday night in our conversation. when

  459. a person that aspires, This is the person that inspires to, to

  460. move up and God is is, you know, that's a worthy thing.

  461. We want to get closer to God. We want to be more christ-like.

  462. That is an inspiring though. But remember this, The higher,

  463. the monkey climbs in the tree. It is the easier it is to see.

  464. It's ugly behind So, the higher someone goes up.

  465. You know, Authority, the easier it is to see their bad nature,

  466. we can hide things for a while. But give give give people enough

  467. Authority and your see, their nature, your see, their true

  468. nature, a man as Spider-Man says, you know, with with you

  469. know, with, with great power comes great responsibility.

  470. You know, that was supposed to be funny.

  471. I'm not a funny guy. As you know, as you can see,

  472. Verse 17. This is one of those holy butts

  473. again, but this is one of God's but it's not not man's butts

  474. because as I've said before any time the word but is using

  475. scripture, when it comes to, when it comes to mankind, it's

  476. almost all the time - But anytime the word but is used in

  477. relation to God or his power or anything about God is always

  478. 100% in the positive context. This is one of those Godly butts

  479. verse 17 but the wisdom from above is first pure then

  480. Peaceable gentle open to reason full of mercy and good fruits

  481. impartial and since Sear. Remember, Proverbs 18, 20 and 21

  482. that we eat the fruit of our lips and our stomachs will be

  483. full of the fruit of our lips. Instead of speaking out of

  484. anger, bitterness and jealousy in order to put others down and

  485. Elevate ourselves. We We will speak God's, we will

  486. speak words of Godly wisdom and not of our wisdom.

  487. And how things how we thinks that's good English.

  488. Thanks and how we think things should be.

  489. Amen. I know I have an opinion of how

  490. I think things should be. Amen.

  491. Many of times you many a times in my earlier, in our marriage.

  492. You know, my mouth got me, a logical.

  493. Still gets me in trouble. Amen.

  494. But you know, They're going to be nevermind.

  495. I'm not going to give you that. Okay?

  496. So Proverbs 4 verse 1, through 7.

    Proverbs 4:1

  497. It says Hear o sons of Father's instruction and be attentive

  498. that you may gain site. For I give you good precepts.

  499. Do not forsake my teaching. When I was a son of my father

  500. tender, the only one in the side of my mother.

  501. He taught me and said to me, let your heart.

  502. Hold fast my words, keep my Commandments and live.

  503. Get wisdom. Get insight.

  504. Do not forget and do not turn away.

  505. Away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her speaking of

  506. wisdom and she will keep you love her.

  507. And she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this?

  508. Get wisdom, and whatever you get, you didn't cite.

  509. So controlling, our tongues learning the tame.

  510. Our tongues is directly linked to pray in for Godly wisdom.

  511. According to James chapter 1, Remember when you this is yes,

    James 1 chapter mention

  512. this is chapter 3. But we have to take all this in

    Isaiah 3 chapter mention

  513. context to everything. We've read up to this point It

  514. is directly linked to Godly wisdom that we can have that we

  515. can ask for and God and James says, he'll give it to us,

  516. liberally. Whoever asked he'll give it to

  517. you. But don't ask doubting because

  518. you're like, a way wave tossed to and fro at you.

  519. He's an unstable person and Bible says, don't let that

  520. person think they're ever receive anything.

  521. From God, and that unstableness will lead us.

  522. To not being able to control all words.

  523. It's Earthly wisdom. It's unspiritual, it's demonic.

  524. The scripture says But Godly wisdom.

  525. It says pure. he man says it's pure then Peaceable gentle open

  526. to reason full of mercy and good fruits impartial and sincere and

  527. we can receive Harvest of Peace when we make peace.

  528. Amen. There.

  529. That's that's one of the What you sow, you shall Reap is one

  530. of the one of God's laws. That will never never go away.

  531. Other things will go and pass, but that law will never whatever

  532. we so we're going to read Amen. We sow Discord.

  533. We're going to get Discord back. We so piece, we're going to get

  534. piece back. Amen.

  535. So in closing this morning, I want you to.

  536. You realize that through the trials and sufferings that we go

  537. through, they help us to gain the wisdom to use our words

  538. correctly. Trials and sufferings are a part

  539. of our journey, our quest to tame our tongues.

  540. If we were allow them, they will Propel us on our life's journey

  541. of being a doer of God's word and not a hearer only.

  542. Amen. The stand this morning.

  543. Hallelujah. Let's, let's, let's bow our

  544. heads and let us pray. Father.

  545. I just thank you for your word. Father, I thank you that threw

  546. you to the power of the holy spirit that we can tame our

  547. tongues, we can get better. Help us to think about what

  548. we're thinking about. Father, help us to use our words

  549. correctly. Father, help us to lay down our

  550. pride or bitterness or jealousy. Father, help us to speak words

  551. that lift up, instead of tearing down, help us to be an

  552. encourager. father, help us to be that one that people seek us

  553. out. When they're going through

  554. struggles, when they're going through, trials of Life, father.

  555. When they just have a bad day. We're the ones that they text or

  556. call because they know that they're going to get up lifted

  557. from us. Father help us to be doers of

  558. your word by speaking words that are pure Peaceable in general.

  559. Father, help us to be open to reason.

  560. Help us to be full of mercy and good fruits.

  561. Help us to be impartial. Help us to be sincere.

  562. Father. Father help us to sew.

  563. Goodness. Gentleness humbleness, peace.

  564. so, father of that, we can reap that in return.

  565. Father, I just ask that. Father, I know we're all on

  566. different levels. Father, I just ask her, whatever

  567. level we are at in this place this morning that you were help

  568. us. To gain more control, over the

  569. words that come out of our mouths.

  570. Father, help us to be quick to here, to here with with the

  571. intent of understanding, not just the here.

  572. Just enough to so that we have our rebuttal ready.

  573. Because we think our way is better.

  574. We think I'm always right. father, help us to look at your

  575. word as our only Authority father, Father, help us to live

  576. lives, that are worthy of you. Help us to walk.

  577. Worthy of your calling to love one.

  578. Another And father, I give you honor and glory and praise.

  579. Amen.
