They were dubbing in the Matthew chapter seven and eight.
-
These chapters are packed with wisdom. Jesus wraps up the
-
sermon on the mountain and hits the road, healing, teaching,
-
and showing his authority. Like we go straight from Jesus
-
teaching on the mountain to Jesus walking among the people,
-
putting his words into action. So let's get wrong. Jesus
-
starts with the judge, not that you be not judged. Now,
-
that doesn't mean we can't tell right I'm wrong. It
-
means don't be a hypocrite. Don't point out the speck
-
in someone else's eye when you've got a log in
-
your own. So maybe don't complain about somebody's massy cab
-
if you've got fast Foodbacks back to the ceiling in Yours,
-
Jesus is saying, check yourself first, then you'll see clearly
-
to help others. We move on to verse seven through eleven,
-
and Jesus says, asking it will be given to you,
-
seek and.
-
You will find, knock and it will be open.
-
Well, that's a promise. He's inviting us to come to
-
the Father, not once, but over and over. It's like
-
a trucker knocking on dispatch until they answer. Persistence paid off.
-
God hears his kids when they keep seeking him. In
-
verse twelve thy fourteen, then here comes the golden role,
-
where it comes from. Whatever you wish that others would
-
do to you, do also to them. That's highway wisdom
-
right there. One respect on the road, give it. Want
-
grace when you make a mistake, show grace first. And
-
right after that, Jesus says, the road to life is narrow.
-
Why is the road that leads to destruction? The drivers
-
know this. Sometimes a narrow road takes more skill, but
-
it gets you where you need to go. Just look
-
at true and false disciples. That's in verses fifteen through
-
twenty three. Jesus warns about false prophets, the wolves and
-
chiefs clothing as you'll know them by their fruit, not
-
their words, not their image, their fruit. Then he gives
-
that sobering life. Not everyone who says to me, Lord
-
Lord will later the kingdom. That's not about lip service.
-
It's about knowing Jesus and doing his will.
-
And when okay.
-
Verses twenty four through twenty nine, Jesus ends a sermon
-
with a picture two builders, one builds on the rock.
-
Storms come and the house stands. The other builds on
-
the sand, and when the storm.
-
Hends, it falls. It's not if this storm comes, this wind.
-
That's right. Life on the road, life at home. Storms
-
are guaranteed. Build on the rock, Build on Jesus.
-
Jesus heals the outcast and Versus Chapter eight, verse one
-
through seventeen. Jesus comes down the mountain starts living out
-
what he's called. Verse he heals a man with leprosy.
-
Nobody would touch lepers when Jesus reached out his hand
-
and dead. Then a Roman centurion, a soldier asked for
-
a servant to be healed, and Jesus is amazed at
-
his faith. Jesus even heals Peter's mother in law and
-
many others. Matthew says, he fulfilled prophecy, took our illness
-
and bore our diseases. That shows us he doesn't just
-
care about our souls, cares about our bodies or pain
-
our struggles. Jesus tells people that followed him means sacrifice.
-
One man says he wants to follow, but needs to
-
handle business first. Jesus says, follow me now, and then
-
when the disciples follow him into a boat. The stormheads.
-
They panic, but Jesus stands up and calms the wind
-
and waves, and they're left saying, who is this that
-
even the winds and the sea obey him when the
-
storm is raging, whether it's on the highway or at homes.
-
We're in your heart. Jesus can come It.
-
Chapter ends with Jesus casting demons out of two men
-
in the region of gatherings. Demons beg to be sent
-
into pigs.
-
Jesus go.
-
The whole herd rushes into the sea. The townspeople, instead
-
of celebrating, they asked Jesus to leave. Sometimes people fear
-
his power more than they want his presence. That's a
-
warning for us to don't push him away when he
-
works in ways we don't expect.
-
So let's pray. Lord, thank you for.
-
Teaching us how to live on the mountain and showing
-
us how to live it out in the valleys. Thank
-
you for being our rock in the storm and our healer.
-
And we're hurting and our savior when we're lost. Help
-
us to build on you, Trust you, and follow you
-
wherever the road leads. In Jesus name, Amen, that's it.
-
Today Church, we just covered Matthew seven. Hey, wisdom for
-
life and power.
-
Next time, Jesus follow.
-
Then keep it between the lines, stay safe out the
-
Remember the same Jesus who.
-
Call your heart.
-
Crimson, clouds fade and painess guy living in his creation
-
with you by my side, Promises giving, promises made. He's
-
always been with us, never betraying. We stumbled at the
-
star hard roads. It didn't keep but graceful or the
-
in like sunlight? And is love?
-
This is surreal?
-
Is this for less realizics? But we haven't got to
-
the best party. The little being in heaven or earth
-
we have now. It's more than we could have learned
-
from him. Anyhow, I can't imagine the love that he feels.
-
I can only ask the question, is this free? As
-
time passes by a bound, the slipping fall, that his
-
grace is sufficient. He'll see us through it all. One
-
day we'll answer the heaven mean please for golden streets
-
shine and you can see God's face for interlife eternal.
-
This was just a trial run waiting here. The words
-
were well done. Is this for less realissics? We havenn't
-
got to the best part yet, The little little Heaven
-
or birth we have now. It's more than we can
-
ever from him Anyhow, I can't imaage the love that
-
he feels.
-
It's more than.
-
Just a feeling now, and it's for him. Is this
-
for it less realissicants? But we have got to the
-
best party. It the little bit of heaven or birth
-
we have now, it's more than we could ever learn
-
from him Anyhow, I can't imagine the love that he feels.
-
I can only ask question, is this free
