Hey there, brothers and sisters of the road. Welcome back
-
to Trucker's Church. Whether you're rolling down the highway or
-
sitting on a truck stop or just waking up, I'm
-
glad you're here. Today. Ain't just Sunday. This is resurrection Sunday.
-
Today everything changed. You know, out here on the road,
-
we've all had moments where it feels like everything just stops.
-
Blown tire breakdown, bad news from back home, almost where
-
it feels like you reached the end of the road.
-
And that's exactly what it looked like. When Jesus went
-
to the cross, he was beaten, mocked, nailed to that cross,
-
and in that moment, it looked like hope was gone,
-
the Bible says in Matthew twenty seven, verse fifty. And
-
when Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, he
-
gave up his spirit to everyone watching. That was it finished.
-
Even the earth shook, the earth shook, the rock split,
-
and the tunes broke open. From Matthew twenty seven to
-
fifty one to fifty two, it looked like the end
-
of the story. Jesus was laid in a tomb, a
-
stone rolled in front of it, a sealed shut You
-
ever had a season like that where everything feels closed off, silent, buried,
-
where you're just sitting there thinking, God, where are you?
-
Disciples were right there, no answers, no direction, just silence.
-
But early that Sunday morning everything changed. Look at Matthew
-
twenty eight, verse two. There was a violent earthquake where
-
an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and
-
rolled back the stone and sat on it. Can you
-
picture that that stone that sealed death end got rolled
-
away and then came the words that changed everything? In
-
Matthew twenty six, he is not here. He has risen,
-
just as he said, Just as he said. Let me
-
tell you what that means for you. Driver. That means
-
death didn't win. Sin didn't win, Your past didn't win.
-
The Bible says in One Corinthians fifteen fifty five, where
-
O death is your victory, where O death is your sting,
-
then it answers it in fifteen fifty seven, Thanks be
-
to God, he gives us the victory through our Lord
-
Jesus Christ. So that thing you've been carrying, that guilt,
-
that addiction, that mistake you keep replaying in your head,
-
that ain't your final stop. The scripture says, if the
-
sun sets you free, you will be free. Indeed, that's
-
Johnny thirty six, not halfway free, not almost made it free. Indeed,
-
I've had moments in my life where I felt buried,
-
like I have made too many wrong terms. But God
-
didn't leave me in that tune, and he won't leave
-
you either. Because the Bible says this is Isaiah forty
-
twenty nine. He gets strength to the weary and increases
-
the power of the week. Here's something I want you
-
to hold on to today, John fourteen nineteen. Because I live,
-
you also will live. That's Jesus talking. Because he walked
-
out of that grave, you got a new life too.
-
So here's the question today, what are you doing with Jesus,
-
not just on Easter, but on the long miles, the
-
lonely nights, the hard stretches of the road. Because he
-
didn't just rise from the grave. He did it so
-
you could rise too. Let's pray together, Lord out here
-
on these highways. We carry a lot heavy loads physically
-
and spiritually. Today we remember the tomb is empty. Your
-
word says, if we confess our sins, he is faithful
-
and justice he will forgive us, so we lay it
-
all down right now. Forgive us, restore us, lead us forward,
-
give us strength of the road ahead, and remind us
-
every mile we're not alone in Jesus' name. Amen, all right, driver,
-
as you roll on today, remember this. The road didn't
-
end on the gross. It opened at the domb, and
-
the Bible says in Matthew twenty twenty. Sirly, I'm with
-
you always to the very end of the age. You've
-
got miles ahead, but you don't have to drive them alone.
-
This is Crucker's Church. I'm glad you rode along with
-
me today. Stay safe out there, keep your eyes on
-
the road and your heart on the Lord.
-
Rolling out at midnight, highways, cold and bladdy pictures on
-
the dashboard, a Bible in the batty. I've been chase
-
and freedom.
-
Down this old inn state the livery mile.
-
I'm riding just another mile, fedy, These wheels keep turned
-
in my heart, keeching through the storms and the empty
-
l No man to guide me, but here's those beside me.
-
I'm running on mounds for fame. Some roads lead to
-
know where, some to a better places.
-
I don't know my tomorrow, but I know maize and breeze.
-
It lights cut the darkness like his word.
-
Cuts to my soul. This life is just a highwady,
-
and I'm ready road.
-
These wheels keep turning, my heart keeps arding through the
-
stormarm andy, empty LANs, no map to carding, but his
-
love is sady.
-
I'm on bows of face, one day on lead.
-
These keys do part, this riget Hiven's key.
-
Till then I'll keep.
-
One rolling, riding these moles of faith. These wheels keep turned.
-
In my heart, keeching through the storms.
-
Any emptyings, no man to God, But here's those is sady.
