Welcome Drugger's Church. Glad to speak with you today. I
-
know many of you just come off the road. Some
-
of you are still on the road. You can almost
-
hear the home of those diesel engines and feel the
-
vibration of the steering wheel in your hands. I know
-
the life you lead, the long hours of solitude in
-
the cab, the flickering lights of the truck stops, and
-
that constant driving pressure make your delivery on time. You
-
live your lives by the clock and the doometer. You
-
know what it means to be watching the horizon, looking
-
for the next time, the next exit, and ultimately the
-
way home. Today, I want to talk to you about
-
a different kind of journey. I want to talk to
-
you about the greatest event in the history of the universe,
-
an event that is more certain than your next paycheck
-
and more eminent than your next delivery, talking about the
-
return of Jesus Christ of this earth. Bible says in
-
Matthew twenty four forty four. Therefore, you will also be
-
ready for the Son of Man is coming at an
-
hour you do not expect. For the man or woman
-
behind the wheel. Readiness as a way of life. You
-
wouldn't dream of heading out on a cross country hall
-
without checking your tires, your oh and your brakes. Keep
-
your log book current because you know an inspection could
-
happen in any moment. You live in a state of
-
constant preparation. Yet I must ask you the most important
-
question you will ever face. Are you prepared for the
-
moment you stand before the Almighty God? Are you ready
-
for the last mile of human history? The Bible tells
-
us the cloth is ticking. We look at the world
-
around us today, the confusion, the wars, breaking down of
-
the family, the moral decay that seems to be everywhere,
-
and we realize that something is happening. These aren't just
-
random events. They're with the Bible calls birth pains. There
-
are signs on the highway of time telling us that
-
the destination is in sight. Jesus said that when we
-
see these things, we should look up and lift up
-
your heads, because your redemption draws near. I know that
-
on the road it's easy to feel like you're at
-
all alone. You see the world through a windshield, passing
-
through towns where people are sleeping in their beds, oblivious
-
to the man hauling the freight that keeps their lives moving.
-
You might feel like God has forgotten you in the
-
middle of a long stretch of interstate on the dead
-
of night. But I want to tell you that today
-
that God sees you. He knows your name. He knows
-
the weight of the burden you carry, not just the
-
weight on your axles, but the weight on your heart.
-
He knows the loneliness, the temptations on the road, and
-
the regrets that haunt you. When the radio is off
-
and it's just you and your thoughts. The Bible says
-
it all has sinned and falls short of the glory
-
of God. That includes the preacher, that includes the driver.
-
We've all taken a wrong turn. We've all ignored the
-
warning silence. We've all tried to be masters of our
-
own route, only to find ourselves lost and running on empty.
-
But God and his incredible love sent his son Jesus
-
Christ to pay the toll we could have never afford.
-
He went to the cross to die for your sins
-
and mine. He took the wreck that we deserved so
-
that we could have a clear road to Heaven. Here's
-
the challenge, my friends. Jesus is coming back. And when
-
he comes, he isn't coming as a humble carpenter or
-
a suffering servant. He's coming as the King of kings
-
and Lord of lords, the apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians.
-
But the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout,
-
with the voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet
-
of God. Can you imagine that, louder than any airhorn,
-
more powerful than the storm ever driven through? In an instant,
-
the long haul of human history will be over. I've
-
talked to many drivers, you say, Brandon, and I'll get
-
right with God someday. I've got a few more runs
-
to make. I've got a few things I want to
-
do first. But the Bible warns us that now is
-
the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
-
You have no guarantee of tomorrow. You don't know what's
-
around the next bend on the road, patch of black eyes,
-
a mechanical failure, the driver in the other lane who
-
isn't paying attention. Life is fragile. More importantly, the return
-
of Christ is the deadline that no one can reschedule.
-
When that trumpet sounds, the opportunity to choose will be gone.
-
The log books will be closed, inspection will begin. The
-
only thing that will matter in that moment is not
-
how many miles you've loved or how clean your driving
-
record was. The Only thing that will matter is what
-
did you do with Jesus Christ. I want to challenge
-
you today to stop running. Some of you have been
-
running from God for a long time. You've used the
-
road as an escape, thinking that if you just keep moving,
-
you can outrun the conscience or outrun the call of
-
God on your life. But you cannot run the Holy Spirit.
-
He's in that cab with you right now. He's speaking
-
to you through this message. He's saying, come home. The
-
destination is ready and the door is still open. To
-
know that Christ is coming soon should not fill the
-
believer with fear. It should fill us with hope. It
-
means the end of pain, the end of loneliness, and
-
the end of the long haul. It means we are
-
going to a place where there are no more rights shifts,
-
there are no more substitutions from our separations from our families,
-
and no more dangerous roads. That hope is only for
-
those who have surrendered their lives to Him. As I close,
-
I want to give you an imitation. I'm not asking
-
you to join a specific church or to sign a card.
-
I'm asking you to make a U turn in your life.
-
I'm asking you to repent of your sins and put
-
your faith in Jesus Christ. Right now, wherever you are,
-
maybe you're parking the rest area, maybe you're sitting in
-
a break room, or maybe you're just listening to this
-
in your sleeper. I want you to settle the most
-
important contract of your life. I want you to say
-
yes to Jesus. The Bible says if you confess with
-
your mouth the Lord of Jesus and believe in your
-
heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
-
be saved as as simple as that. It's the most
-
profound decision you will ever make. So here's the call
-
of action for you today. Don't let another mile pass
-
without knowing where you stand with God. I want you
-
to pray a simple prayer in your heart right now,
-
say Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I've been driving
-
my own life and I've made a mess of it.
-
I believe you die for me and that you're coming
-
again today. I open the door of my heart. Take
-
you as my Savior and my Lord, help me to
-
live for you on the road and at home. Amen,
-
if you pray that prayer, you have just made the
-
greatest delivery of your life. You've delivered your soul to
-
the hands of the Almighty. The road ahead may still
-
be long, and the hills may still be steep, but
-
you will never drive alone again. And when that final
-
day comes and the Lord returns in all his glory,
-
you won't be filled with terror. You'll look up, you'll
-
see the Savior, and you'll know that you're finally, eternally home.
-
God bless you keep you safe on the road. The
-
Lord's coming soon. Are you ready?
-
I showed in the dusty, blistering heat, even Hell don't care.
-
I get along, Push on.
-
Undonty.
-
Yeahbo's on my tail and it's not far behind.
-
Trying to play the game.
-
Try to walk dead alone, Try to run away. Ye
-

-
the richards I never knew before, got a run from hell.
-
Run to the Father. Lets you know. I'm gonna need
-
help from my brother.
-
My soul is horny.
-
Because I'm alone.
-
Darning settles and the light rules in temptations rising. I
-
feed the flame, try to stem my ground, but I
-
haven't folded.
-
Right through the light.
-
Gotta get away, looking for the LIGHTLD show me the
-
way I'm trying. I'm d.
-
The Devil's supposing thinks he's got.
-
His for me, but he wants my past.
-
The Lord's already bay loaded by the devil, loaded by
-
the Lord. Boning on the riches and.
-
Never knew before got around from hell. Run to the father.
-
Let you know I'm gonna need her from my brother.
