  1. We're in week 4 of possible. I pray that this Series has been

  2. helpful to you. To think that God, who did The

  3. Impossible Vin still does the impossible things.

  4. Now, he makes what seems impossible to you possible

  5. because of his goodness and his mercy and his love.

  6. So today's message and week for is called where courage comes

  7. from, and when I say that you should go.

  8. Mmm, where courage comes from, Yeah.

  9. Sounds like a group of people been fasting.

  10. A long time. Let's begin today.

  11. With the end in mind. So having an idea of where we're

  12. headed from the very beginning by singing, A Hymn of our faith,

  13. that is older and beautiful, and wonderful.

  14. You may know this him and you may not know this him.

  15. If you do know it, I need you to sing with gusto Gusto.

  16. However, he said that word, and if you don't know the him, I

  17. want you to fake. It like you do and just like let

  18. words and sounds come out of your mouth.

  19. Are you ready? Say yes.

  20. The words will be up here. Here we go.

  21. Oh Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever.

  22. You know what he saw me and Bob me with his redeeming blood, he

  23. loved me ere. I knew him.

  24. And all my love is due him. He plunged me to Victory beneath

  25. the cleansing flood. Y'all sound great Victory.

  26. We are going to fight some Giants today, and the Giants are

  27. going to lose some of you like that.

  28. If you're an Eagles fan, but the Giants of our lives are going to

  29. lose and Heads Will Roll. You may have forgotten this part

  30. of the story of David and Goliath.

  31. And they don't teach it in VBS very often Tish probably does

  32. because she's like a strict Bible person.

  33. Like we're learning the whole Bible not parts of the Bible but

  34. David chops off the head of Goliath.

  35. Sing. I love this.

  36. I mean, Why does he do that? I'm just trying to picture a VBS

  37. teacher, trying to teach this like, okay?

  38. Then David Seung to slingshot and the giant fell down and then

  39. he dropped off his hat. Why would you chop off a head?

  40. And there's a few reasons but the one I want to focus on just

  41. for a second. Here is just like to make sure

  42. it's really dead. because I don't know about you, if you

  43. ever have these Giants who get like these Terminator bodies and

  44. you think that they're dead, But then their eyes are guilty and

  45. it comes back to visit you and you have this moment of panic

  46. and almost causes you to lose your faith.

  47. Like God, I thought this giant was dead.

  48. So today we're going to chop off the heads.

  49. Of some Giants. Heads Will Roll.

  50. I believe it's victory season for Luminate church, I believe

  51. it's a season where you things that you have seen as battles,

  52. your entire life. And have even said to yourself,

  53. man, this is The Thorn In My Flesh and some things are thorns

  54. in the flesh that God leaves on purpose, so that you can know

  55. the sufficiency of his grace. But there's other things that

  56. have been visiting you for far too long and God wants to give

  57. you freedom from those Giants and see their heads roll.

  58. So it's victory season for at church.

  59. When I say in this, you should feel something bubbling up in

  60. your spirit that makes you want to go.

  61. Yes. Yes, praise God.

  62. So, if you're ready for a victory in your life today, say

  63. I'm ready, okay? Faith comes by hearing and that

  64. of God's word, so let's turn there.

  65. Now, we're going to be in the book of 1st Samuel, in your

  66. Bibles, Samuel Kings, Chronicles.

  67. That's the order for a second for a second.

  68. For a second Joshua, Judges Ruth, right.

  69. After that, you're going to find First Samuel and we're in the

  70. 17th chapter, and we're going to plop right in the middle of The

  71. story of David and Goliath. If you've never heard the story,

  72. go back and read all of 16 and 17, I'm going to reference a lot

  73. of it today. But let's begin here in verse

  74. 32, David says to Saul let no one lose heart on account of

  75. this Philistine Goliath, your servants will go and fight them.

  76. And Saul replied, you're not able to go out against this

  77. Philistine and fight him. You're only a young man and he

  78. has been a Warrior from his youth.

  79. But David said to Saul your servant, has been keeping his

  80. father's sheep. When a lion or bear came and

  81. carried off, a sheep from the flock.

  82. I went after it struck it and rescue the sheep from its mouth.

  83. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair.

  84. Struck it and killed it. Notice like this, the same thing

  85. that happens later, he knocks out the lion and the bear, and

  86. he goes over there to get the sheep and then the line of bear,

  87. like we're not dead yet. So he grabs her by the hair

  88. strikes it again and kills it verse 36.

  89. Your servant has killed both The Lion and the bear.

  90. This uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them because

  91. he has defied the armies of the Living.

  92. God. The Lord, who rescued me from

  93. the Paw of The Lion and the Paw of the bear will rescue me from

  94. the hand of this Philistine. Saul said to David Go and the

  95. Lord be with you. Then saw dress David and his own

  96. tunic. He put on a coat of armor on him

  97. and a bronze helmet on his head. David fastened on his sword over

  98. the tunic and tried walking around, and then because he was

  99. not used to them and he says, I cannot go in these because I'm

  100. not used to them. So he took them off.

  101. Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones

  102. from the stream, put them in the pouch of a Shepherds bag.

  103. And with the sling in his hand approached the Philistine and

  104. you can read the rest of the story, but let me Just summarize

  105. it this down, went Goliath. Glory to God.

  106. You want to talk about impossible?

  107. Here's a Shepherd boy with no training in the Army who does

  108. with the trained. Army was unwilling to afraid

  109. unable to do an entire trained Army.

  110. Unable to do what an untrained Shepherd boy do.

  111. That's impossible yet. God makes all things.

  112. Hmm, it takes out a 9-foot giant.

  113. I wish I had one come stand behind me so we could comprehend

  114. how large a 9-foot person is Right.

  115. Massive For 40 days. Every day Goliath would come out

  116. and stand in front of the Israelite.

  117. The entire Israelite Army and say, taunting them, send me

  118. somebody to fight me. You dirty dogs since somebody to

  119. fight me and we'll decide who rules over, who the winner rules

  120. over the people of the loser, the winner won't rule over the

  121. person because that person be dead.

  122. So, one of us will die. And then the winner will rule

  123. over the rest, 40 days in a row. And every time that Goliath

  124. showed up the scripture records, That the Israelites shook.

  125. Then they ran and then they hid and the spirit of fear and

  126. despair hovered over the camp. Talk about a terrible way to

  127. live. Right.

  128. So just everybody lean in for a second here, just just come on.

  129. Thank you. Thank you.

  130. Let me, let me just ask you a question.

  131. Look at my eyeballs. How long has it been taunting?

  132. You. How long?

  133. Every day. Twice a day, all day, every day.

  134. Does your giant stand in front of you and taunt.

  135. You saying the same things repeatedly.

  136. You'll never get over this. You'll never break free from

  137. this. This is what you're doomed to

  138. you deserve this. You dirty dog.

  139. So let's have a fight. You and me says the giant to you

  140. and whoever wins will rule over the other.

  141. What's your giant? I think it's important that we

  142. go ahead and identify it. So we're not talking about

  143. something ethereal or amorphous or theoretical, but we're

  144. dealing with something that's been in your life for too long.

  145. That's been taunting. You daily.

  146. Is an addiction. Is it anxiety?

  147. Perhaps you have a short fuse. Maybe you have a physical

  148. malady, it's been taunting you. Depression.

  149. Lust greed. The need to be noticed, Pride

  150. ego materialism. A son or a daughter who is far

  151. from the Lord. A spouse, a family member who's

  152. far from the Lord and the giant taunts.

  153. You saying they'll never be saved.

  154. They're going to hell. Maybe something about your

  155. physical appearance bothers you. maybe there's a lingering wound

  156. from your childhood that stands in front of you like on the

  157. regular and taunts you I've heard dozens upon dozens of

  158. messages on David and Goliath maybe you have to, as I was

  159. studying it over the past few weeks.

  160. I feel like the Lord revealed to me, a few things that I'd never

  161. seen before that. I want to share with you to help

  162. you overcome your giant, the way, the David overcame his and

  163. here's the good news hear me now.

  164. Believe me later the same God, who rescued David from his giant

  165. is the same God who is Lord of your life and what he did for

  166. David, what he did for the Israelites he can do for you.

  167. It's not impossible. What he did for David was

  168. impossible, but he made it possible.

  169. So, today is Victory. Season.

  170. Giants will fall and Heads Will Roll.

  171. Amen. Are you here to our say?

  172. Yes. Come on.

  173. So, where does courage come from?

  174. It wasn't like David was just sitting there and like, ate some

  175. spinach and then he was courageous or he had a mean

  176. moment and became the Hulk and suddenly he's boom.

  177. Like doing these things, he wasn't born courageous, he was

  178. given courage. David was the youngest of eight

  179. brothers that in alone. Takes some courage.

  180. Can you imagine the dinner table?

  181. Like, all right, here's the food, boots, David like He was

  182. kind of we can surmise a few things from the scripture.

  183. Like he's just like hey the rest of us are going to be at the

  184. house hanging out together, David.

  185. You're going to be working with the stupid smelly sheep.

  186. But we're here at the house. In fact, you go read 1st Samuel

  187. 16, you'll learn that Samuel who the book is named after the

  188. priest of the Israelites. At that time has been told by

  189. God to go and find a replacement for Saul.

  190. Saul was the first king of Israel.

  191. We're really God, was the first king in the people are like we

  192. want to be like other nations. Give us a human King and guys,

  193. like I don't think that's a good idea but they pleaded with him

  194. and so God said, okay here you go.

  195. You get salt and he started well but he ended very poorly.

  196. Turned his back on God really in pride and arrogance.

  197. He turned away from God so God says Sam and we need to find a

  198. new king. I'm sending you to the house of

  199. Jesse. He has eight sons from his sons.

  200. You will know which one you are to anoint as the new king So

  201. Samuel arrives at Jesse's house and the oldest son, comes

  202. forward and he is tall, he is handsome, and he is rugged and

  203. Samuel thinks to himself. This must be the king is a head

  204. taller than Everybody else. He's the wow.

  205. And then we can just somewhat famous scripture.

  206. God says, don't look at his appearance, man.

  207. Looks at the outer, but God looks at the inner man, looks at

  208. the appearance, God looks at the heart, he ain't the one.

  209. Neither was number two, number three, and four five, six, all

  210. the seven sons and we family gets to the end.

  211. He's like, do you have any others and I like, well, Got

  212. this younger brother out there. Let's just think about this for

  213. a minute. There is an event happening at

  214. home, where they're selecting the next king of Israel.

  215. From the sons of Jesse and David doesn't get invited.

  216. What does that do to David psyche?

  217. Like, you're not even picked. Last, you weren't even in a pool

  218. to be picked. Thanks.

  219. So they bring David in and the Lord says the same with this

  220. one, through all of this, David finds courage to defeat the

  221. giant. But I'm trying to tell you, he

  222. didn't start that way. And the reason I'm telling you

  223. that is because you may feel like, however, old you, are you

  224. still don't have courage to face your giant.

  225. In fact, you may feel the opposite of it which is

  226. discouraged. It is taunted.

  227. You so often and so long that you feel like I'm just wave the

  228. White Flag to this giant, it's not as part of my life and I'm

  229. going to deal with it somehow. Just kind of cope.

  230. With this giant. The guy can give you courage.

  231. God can give you courage. So, where does this courage come

  232. from? I'm going to tell you two things

  233. and when you see the two things you'd be like, duh at first.

  234. But instead of saying, do I want you to say whoa.

  235. Okay, are you ready? Let's crack this one.

  236. Two, three. Yeah, here's the two things that

  237. give you courage. Number one, Holy Spirit, a

  238. number to training. I'm going to spend a short time

  239. on Spirit today because we're going to focus on Holy Spirit, a

  240. lot next week and a much more time on training because I

  241. believe that most Christians, Ins aren't properly trained to

  242. face their Giants if they were. We see a lot more headless

  243. bodies in the streets. Amen.

  244. Which means you hear more testimonies of victory.

  245. You hear more breakthroughs and people running and freedom

  246. because we've been trained to deal with, there are giants the

  247. way that David has. So let's talk about Spirit

  248. first. And first, Samuel 16 we get to

  249. the end of the picking of King's Story.

  250. And here is Samuel anointing David.

  251. It says in verse 13. So Samuel took the Horn of oil

  252. and anointed David in the presence of his brothers.

  253. And from that day on the spirit of the Lord Came powerfully Upon

  254. David. Same with him, went to Rhema

  255. very next verse verse 14. Now, the spirit of the Lord had

  256. departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented

  257. Saul. What?

  258. It's going to shake some theology in the room and evil

  259. spirit, from the Lord came and tormented Soul.

  260. Also, the spirit of the spirit comes and falls on David in one

  261. verse. And in the next verse of reading

  262. that the spirit has departed from Saul, let's talk about the

  263. Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, just for a moment.

  264. The Holy Spirit wasn't dispersed to all people as he is now in

  265. the church age and the age post Jesus Christ in the Old

  266. Testament, the spirit would come in at certain places and at

  267. certain times to do certain things to endure imbue.

  268. What's the word, give? People Supernatural ability that

  269. they wouldn't have on their own. We read in Genesis that the

  270. spirit was there in creation, read in Psalm 104.

  271. That the spirit is the very thing that gives breath to all

  272. living things spirit and breath in the Old Testaments, the same

  273. word rule, ah it's a fun word to say that's an actual word I

  274. wasn't just clearing my throat. Right, the spirit Came Upon

  275. judges and Warriors and profits in a way that gave him this

  276. extraordinary power. You read about Joshua and

  277. numbers. And in the Book of Judges, you

  278. read about people like oath Miele and Deborah and Samson and

  279. Gideon. One of my heroes are all heroes.

  280. The spirit was crucial in helping, God's people anticipate

  281. the ministry of Messiah. When Isaiah, the prophet said,

  282. the spirit of the Lord is upon me.

  283. Because he has anointed me to preach, good news to the poor.

  284. And then he goes on to say other things but all of that happened

  285. because the spirit showed up at a certain time in a certain

  286. place for a certain reason through a person to do these

  287. great works. David was filled with the Holy

  288. Spirit and therefore he did, Holy Spirit aided fangs, And

  289. Saul did not. Because the spirit of departed

  290. from him, solid gone into the temple and done something.

  291. The priests only do but Stalin is arrogance.

  292. Tried to usurp God's Temple and went in and burn a fire.

  293. He wasn't meant to burn and God turned on Saul Why?

  294. Listen, I know that we want God to be warm and cuddly.

  295. We want God if you're a good good father, right?

  296. I run to the father like I saw this beautiful these.

  297. I just love my daddy, right? but the Lord sent an evil spirit

  298. to torment Saul, How do these to compute?

  299. How do these two work together? Now, when you see the word evil,

  300. don't think evil. Like Devil evil, like Halloween

  301. Horror Nights evil, evil really? In the scripture means troubling

  302. not immoral, not deceptive, not up to, no good.

  303. But up to the purposes of God, Saul is the only person that

  304. this happened to in the scripture because Saul was the

  305. first king of Israel. He's setting a precedent to lead

  306. the people to follow God and to bless all nations in this

  307. alternative. Back on God and the wrath of

  308. God, then comes upon Saul. And this tormenting Spirit comes

  309. and trouble saw two. Disciplines all, remember God

  310. disciplines those. He loves he loves Saul.

  311. The spirit was meant in love. To lead them to repentance and

  312. correction. Not only force all that for the

  313. nation, but this troubling Spirit came because God is love.

  314. Yes, he's warm and cuddly, but he's also Wrath.

  315. Injustice, he's Grace, but he's also a warring God.

  316. We don't want to warm and cuddly guy when he's facing the devil.

  317. You want a nice soft, pretty. Angel to go play pattycake, with

  318. the devil. You want one of these menacing

  319. mean angels to go in DeLand to war.

  320. But the enemy and this time, he's dealing with Saul because

  321. of the wrath of God. Now, here's the good news for

  322. us. We live on this side of the

  323. blood of Jesus. In the person of Jesus Pastor

  324. Kim led us through communion saying that his blood was shed

  325. for us to pay for our sins. And because of it, we now can

  326. have right relationship with God.

  327. And the Holy Spirit has now been distributed to all of us and the

  328. wrath of God has been appeased by Jesus for those who believe

  329. in Jesus. So I don't want any here to

  330. worry, like you're going to drive out there and you can say,

  331. a bad word and the Lord's going to send you a tormenting spirit.

  332. I give you evil spirit. If you believe in Jesus, the

  333. holy spirit's been given to you and the evil spirits have

  334. departed from you, the tormenting spirits but David has

  335. been given the Holy Spirit and in the church age.

  336. Now today the Holy Spirit has been distributed to all

  337. believers. Every single person in here, has

  338. the ability to fully operate in the Holy Spirit, everyone's been

  339. given the Holy Spirit, you may not have received the holy

  340. spirit yet, but you've been given it.

  341. But when you receive the Holy Spirit, then we act very much

  342. like David, which means what we we do in the natural is super

  343. naturally aided. Hmm.

  344. I put it like this when empowered by Holy Spirit.

  345. The natural is touched by the Supernatural and that's when

  346. Giants start to fall. There are some things that

  347. you're going to learn to practice in the natural that

  348. when you do that and they are divinely touched by God.

  349. Supernaturally, the Giants will fall in front of you, the issue

  350. in America. And even the American church is

  351. that we try to behavior modify our self which is naturally

  352. doing what we think is, right? I've got to withstand this, I

  353. got a I got a bow up, I gotta I gotta all this stuff in my own

  354. natural strength and if all you use is your natural, then your

  355. giant is not going to be dead, it's just going to be in

  356. hibernation. And then one day later when your

  357. later, three years later, Giants back.

  358. And now I feel worse than I did it first, because I thought this

  359. thing was dead, and now it's back and I got guilt and shame.

  360. But I got to tell everybody, hey, I made it so far, and then

  361. I fell again, and now I'm terrible.

  362. Listen, behind behavior modification is what we can do

  363. in the natural. It I'm not saying it's bad.

  364. In fact, it's very good. But, the best thing is to have

  365. what's Natural Touch by that, which is Supernatural.

  366. And when it's supernaturally, aided the head rolls, Are you

  367. hearing me? Hallelujah.

  368. So what does this training? What can we do in the natural

  369. that God can touch in the Supernatural?

  370. First of all know this, we need to fight like him and not like

  371. them. We need to fight like him and

  372. not like them. Saul says in verse 33, David

  373. you're not able to go out against this Philistine and

  374. fight them. You're only a young man and he's

  375. being a Warrior from his youth, which means he's no longer a

  376. youth, but he's been training since he was a youth.

  377. Now, he's a Grizzly deed veteran of the Philistine Army, I can

  378. imagine. He's got notches on his belt for

  379. how many heads that he's whacked himself.

  380. He just like this. Just incredible.

  381. General Warrior for the Philistines and saws, like, you,

  382. you ain't, you got Nothing compared to him.

  383. David said, but, but, but, but, but saw your servants been,

  384. keeping his father's sheep on a liner.

  385. Bear coming care of his sheep from the flock.

  386. I went after it. Struck at rescue, the chief

  387. Burns mouth. When it turned on me, I see the

  388. B here, bam and killed it. Saul says you're not trained in

  389. the weapons of warfare and David responds.

  390. I have training, you know not of Wouldn't you like to say this

  391. like this, right? I have training you know, not a

  392. when your giant stands in front of you with this arrogant breath

  393. waving his weapons in your face, you get to look him.

  394. Directly back in the eye and say, hey giant, I have training,

  395. you know, not enough. I want you to know the giant has

  396. a limited view of Your Arsenal. I want you to know that people

  397. around you naysayers, have a limited view of your arson.

  398. I want you to know that sometimes you look in the mirror

  399. and forget your own Arsenal, but when equipped of God, you get to

  400. say, wait a second, I have training you know, not of every

  401. time I say it I feel like Yoda I have training, you know, not of.

  402. Would you just say this with me? I have training, you know, not

  403. of you. Remember the scripture for

  404. though, we live in the world, we do not wage Wars.

  405. The world does the weapons? We With are not the weapons on

  406. the world. On the contrary, our weapons

  407. have divine power to demolish strongholds Hedgerow.

  408. Because I got training, you know, not of you remember this.

  409. Anyone you seen the movie? Yep, daniel-san.

  410. The end of the fight. He's bruised.

  411. He's bad in his legs. I'll sweep the leg, right?

  412. Everything's going wrong. And Daniel goes. and the crowds

  413. like what is this doofus doing Johnny's like since a is like,

  414. right and miyagi's like You remember miyagi's face?

  415. Like, yes, Daniel. Sounds like I have training you

  416. gonna do crane kicks. You the best?

  417. Yeah. Okay, I have training, you know,

  418. not of. Would you just say it one more

  419. time? I have training, you know, not

  420. of. Now this time.

  421. Don't just repeat it. I want you to think of the

  422. giant, that's in front of you and say it to him.

  423. Hurt it. Whatever.

  424. By the way, your Giants never a person.

  425. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, right?

  426. It's an issue. It's a wound, it's a habit.

  427. It's a demon, whatever you want to say it is, it's not a person.

  428. So go ahead, one more time, say it to that thing.

  429. Go ahead. You say, whenever you're ready

  430. mmm-hmm keep saying it till you believe it, here's the not right

  431. now throughout the week. So what was David's way of

  432. fighting? How did he train and often?

  433. This is where and I have sat through many messages on David

  434. and Goliath. You hear this David's training

  435. in order to defeat Goliath is that he defeated the lion and

  436. the Bear. That was his training in order

  437. to defeat Goliath, man, he beat The Lion and the bear.

  438. He had the courage to face Goliath because he had the

  439. courage to face the lion and the bear.

  440. And as I was reading the Scripture, it just suddenly

  441. occurred to me. Where do you get the courage to

  442. fight the lion? The bear.

  443. When's the last time you did that.

  444. There's a lion. I think I'll go find him.

  445. We know that David's first shot with a slingshot wasn't at the

  446. Giant. And what I believe is that it

  447. was not at the bare the line either.

  448. Here's a case in point. Mushiya.

  449. I need somebody who really confident?

  450. Catching the football. Oh, that I won't hurt.

  451. When I throw it. Are you sure young man?

  452. All right. Come up here, buddy.

  453. What's your name? I'm sorry Aaron.

  454. Yes. Come on.

  455. That's a good Biblical name, Aaron.

  456. I want you to stand right there. In the that light over there.

  457. Right next to Tish and pestle baldomir, right?

  458. Right. Go this way Aaron.

  459. Right. You'll see the light right

  460. there? Yeah, perfect.

  461. All right, I'm gonna throw the ball.

  462. All to you and you gotta catch it.

  463. Remember go Goliath is winning if we don't do this.

  464. All right. So you ready?

  465. Here you go. Okay that hey that's right, we

  466. all just died. Let's try again.

  467. Okay, I'm a third to you again. All right, here we go.

  468. There you go. Hey.

  469. How we could do this all day long, right?

  470. Aaron. Just you and me right now, let's

  471. pretend that life is really on the line.

  472. Just pretend you stay there on, you're doing great.

  473. And if I lose my family will become subservient.

  474. To an enemy that none of us want to imagine.

  475. Right. And so this whole time, I've

  476. been using my trained armed. Let me now, use my untrained

  477. arm. Are we ready for this?

  478. I literally have not practiced this on purpose, so we can see

  479. how this goes. The giant is menacing.

  480. He's ugly. I'm running into the valley.

  481. Everybody's watching. Everyone's fate.

  482. Hangs on this one throw. Here we go.

  483. I want to try that again because I was really bad.

  484. Go ahead, nice throw. I'm gonna try with the left hand

  485. again. Baldomir just saved his wife's

  486. life right here. Hey give a big hand to Aaron.

  487. Right there are one more pass. Come on.

  488. Deep throaty. 34 we do. Oh, okay.

  489. I mean, this is the air and you did a great job.

  490. Right. Yeah.

  491. So good. I think the point is obvious,

  492. right? David's first shop with his

  493. slingshot. This is just based on the

  494. evidence based on the astute brains, that we have to figure

  495. it out that David's first, shot wasn't at the lion In the bear.

  496. David was tending sheep have ever heard the phrase watching

  497. paint dry. Watching grass grow tending

  498. sheep, has a lot of fun Parts when you're moving the sheep

  499. from here to there, or there's a predator coming, like The Lion

  500. and the bear. But most of the time tending

  501. sheep is sitting there watching, sheep, chew grass.

  502. Eenie Meenie. And then they lay down.

  503. Wine in a green pasture. And David is there.

  504. As a young boy, think of how young boys are.

  505. And what's he doing? He does have a PS4.

  506. Does it have a Kindle doesn't even coloring book?

  507. It's just David and sheep. And a slingshot.

  508. Would it be too far-fetched to believe that?

  509. David spent a lot of his time. Hit that stick, hit that rock,

  510. hit that bird. That butterfly me, I guess I'll

  511. hit the fly, right? You follow expert.

  512. I believe that somewhere along the way, David became an expert

  513. slingshots. MIT And he took out the line in

  514. the bear because he had practice.

  515. Let me just lay this truth out for all of us.

  516. How your training now is how you're going to fight then.

  517. How your training in this season is how you're going to fight in

  518. David. Use his slingshot so many times

  519. he wasn't in trouble, so that when he was in trouble, it was

  520. second nature. The slingshot was like part of

  521. his arm, you watch the NHL All-Star game yesterday, I

  522. didn't. But I may say 55 minutes of it,

  523. but they say that the hockey stick has become an extension of

  524. these All-Stars bodies. Just like one with them.

  525. They can do crazy things, Tiger Woods in a golf club.

  526. It's just one with Him. How many times did Michael

  527. Jordan shoot a basketball in An Empty Arena when it didn't

  528. matter? So that when it did matter,

  529. second nature, David when a bear and a lion is coming, that's

  530. when it matters and you don't just make it up in that season.

  531. I believe that when we get in a difficult season suddenly we

  532. want to call in a skill that we haven't developed in an easy

  533. season. The giant starts charging at us

  534. and we want to do something that we haven't ever done before in

  535. expected to go. Super well.

  536. What you've been training with now is what you'll try to use.

  537. Then I think that we're training spending a lot of time in

  538. training, on the wrong things that won't help us with our

  539. Giants. I want you the next time your

  540. giant pops up to say, I give you Netflix.

  541. See if the giant Falls. I give you candy crush.

  542. Now, it's getting personal, okay?

  543. I give you a bottle of Rose. A, here's some Jack Daniels.

  544. Here's some pornography. Here's some shopping.

  545. Gossiping. Complaining.

  546. Here's some social media, giant Pink, they just fall off of them

  547. like marshmallows. We've been spending so much time

  548. training in the wrong things so that when we get to a difficult

  549. season, we try to pull in something.

  550. We haven't trained. Hmm.

  551. So what I, what I want you to train in, what does the Lord

  552. want us to train? It has nothing to do with me.

  553. Here it is. Get used to the Kings armor.

  554. Saul told David to wear his armor, but David hadn't rained

  555. in Saul's Army. He's like, I'm not used to

  556. these. And then note he takes all of

  557. the Kings armor off and leaves it.

  558. One day and today could be that day, already your Giants.

  559. Going to come at you. And the king is going to say,

  560. hey here's my armor and the last thing you want to say to the

  561. Lord our God is, I'm not used to it.

  562. And leave God's armor behind. In the day of battle, you need

  563. it. Most Ephesians chapter 6.

    Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  564. You got a Bible That's all turn their together.

  565. That's where courage comes from. Getting used to.

  566. The armor of God in an easy season, so that when the

  567. difficult season comes your trained up and ready to go.

  568. Verse 10 finally, be strong in the Lord.

  569. And in his mighty power, put on just one piece of the armor of

  570. God. The full armor.

  571. I don't have it up there so you just got to turn in your own

  572. Bibles. Put put on the full armor of

  573. God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's

  574. schemes. For our struggle is not against

  575. flesh and blood, but against the rulers against the authorities,

  576. against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual

  577. forces of evil in the Heavenly Realms, therefore put on the

  578. full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, it does

  579. not say if the day of evil comes, when the day of evil

  580. comes, gotta find my spot. You may be able to stand your

  581. ground and after you have done everything to stand.

  582. And then he tells us the armor. He says stand firm with the belt

  583. of Truth. Buckled around your waist, this

  584. is the word of God. We need to be training daily.

  585. This is uh shooting free throws in an empty gym daily.

  586. I'm reading it there may not, I mean I didn't some days, it may

  587. just be mechanical or I just got to get in it and just, just eat

  588. it. Have it in my spirit, reading

  589. the word of God. This belt of Truth upon me.

  590. And by the way, all this rest of the armor rests on The belt, we

  591. can talk about that. Another time, the breastplate of

  592. righteousness, the breastplate of righteousness, says to the

  593. enemy, my past. No longer defines me.

  594. You filthy giant, my mistakes, my resume of immoral failures.

  595. Does not define me. The breastplate of

  596. righteousness, says that I am the righteousness of God.

  597. Through the blood of Jesus Christ.

  598. My faith in him has made me clean.

  599. The old has gone. The new is here.

  600. This proves it. The feet fitted with the

  601. Readiness of the Gospel means that everywhere that you are the

  602. god. Feel the peace means that

  603. everywhere that you walk. You walk in peace with

  604. confidence. Peace means everything in its

  605. rightful place. What?

  606. I'm putting on the armor of God, I'm taking every step correctly

  607. because I'm trusting the will the perfect good and pleasing

  608. will of God, I walk confidently. I'm not going to be afraid.

  609. Bad news comes. I'm walking in the gospel of

  610. peace. It's okay.

  611. We're going to make it through. Here's the way we're going to

  612. walk. Walk walk.

  613. Then you get the shield of Faith.

  614. Fiery arrows are a raid at you, and the shield of faith, we lift

  615. it up and say greater, is he, that is in me than he is in the

  616. world. We say those that are for me,

  617. are more than those that are against me.

  618. We say no weapon formed against me, shall prosper.

  619. We lift up the shield of faith. We say I'm going to submit to

  620. God and resist the devil and he will flee.

  621. And these arrows go out one by one ting, ting ting.

  622. The helmet of salvation. I love the helmet of salvation,

  623. Roman helmets had giant plumes on them so that the whole world

  624. would know you were a Roman soldier when you wear the helmet

  625. of salvation. The whole world knows that

  626. you're a Christ follower, the helmet of salvation keeps out

  627. the thoughts and the enemy and keeps in the thoughts of God.

  628. And then the sword of the spirit.

  629. The sword. It's two edges and there's much

  630. talk about what these two edges mean.

  631. Today, let the mean for us, praise and prayer The next verse

  632. says, to pray in the spirit. Praise and prayer.

  633. The stones you put in your slingshot.

  634. Have you trained Up In Praise and prayer?

  635. Let me read the scripture to you.

  636. Psalm 149 6 God's high and holy Praises fill their mouths.

  637. Further shouted, Praises are their weapons of war.

  638. In the easy season. Let's become Prayer.

  639. Warriors and praise Warriors. So that when the difficult

  640. season comes, we're not just trying to warm up our voices.

  641. I've been singing since I was a kid.

  642. I have training, you know, not of, I've been praying in my

  643. closet on my knees for years. You have no idea of my training.

  644. I have scripture hidden in my heart.

  645. I have training. You know, none of you filthy

  646. mouth devil This is what we get to say this past week.

  647. It was like the most incongruous illogical week for me, because I

  648. am fasting and praying, and in God's word and feeling strength,

  649. feeling, Spirit, feeling, flesh, dying and then I had one of the

  650. worst weeks. Like we that doesn't compute

  651. God, like it should be awesome. And yet these difficult things

  652. are happening one after the other.

  653. There was even one situation or having to apologize to my wife

  654. and my children for my behavior. My fuse was short.

  655. I was emotionally drunk. Anyone ever been emotionally

  656. drunk? Just like, not a good place to

  657. be and I said to my wife later that night like I don't

  658. understand what's happening. Like I don't get it.

  659. The opposite should be happening.

  660. I should be the best version of me right now and I just was like

  661. the worst version of me. How does that happen?

  662. Does it make any sense and went to bed?

  663. And I woke up and the first thought on my mind.

  664. Was this a prompting? A voice?

  665. Not audible that I knew it was the Lord speaking.

  666. He said, hey Tim you're letting the devil win.

  667. The year that I can't, you're letting the devil win this.

  668. What this whole thing is about. Strengthening the spirit during

  669. the fast to overwhelm the Flesh and the the devil, just poked

  670. your flesh, and you let the devil win.

  671. It's like mad, I fell for the trick.

  672. Right in the middle of the fast, but the good news is I have

  673. training. The devil does not know of, it

  674. will turn that on its head in an instant through prayer and

  675. praise and suiting up daily and sometimes multiple times a day

  676. in the armor of God, and there's a transformation that will

  677. happen in your spine and your spirit, when you realize that,

  678. if God is for us, who can be against us, and I'm not gonna

  679. Let the devil win anymore. Not today.

  680. Tomorrow, I have to choose that again and the next day and so I

  681. speak to you, these words. May the spirit of God.

  682. Touch you supernaturally to Aid, you in what you do, naturally,

  683. the reading of scripture, the praying, the prayers, the

  684. singing of songs, the suiting up in the armor, that's our

  685. training. So the moment, the giant stands

  686. in front of you, it'll be second nature to respond to him, devil.

  687. I got training, you know, not enough.

  688. I've got courage like David. I've got courage like Jesus.

  689. I've got courage like Paul. That's who you are.

  690. That's what he's made us to be in the name of the father Son

  691. and the Holy Spirit. Would you just pray?

  692. Just make this personal for a second.

  693. Just ask Holy Spirit. What is it that you want me to

  694. know today? What is it that you want me to

  695. take away? What's one truth?

  696. One nugget, one. Something that you've laid on my

  697. spirit. Lord, we just release Holy

  698. Spirit in this house. Touch every person receive the

  699. Holy Spirit. You and your seat receive, Holy

  700. Spirit. But in Philly to fullness, and

  701. you in your seats, make commitment to train up as a

  702. warrior, Father, we thank you for victory.

  703. We thank you. That the victory is assured.

  704. That you fight our battles as we align ourselves with you?

  705. God, I pray that what you did for David and the Israelites you

  706. do again in our day. That Goliath false, the victory

  707. shot goes up up and we rule over that which was seeking to rule

  708. over us. Glory to God in the eyes.

  709. Thank you for your faithfulness in Jesus name.
