Something's happening across the streets of America.
-
It's not a program, it's not a strategy, it's not a campaign.
-
It's a movement because love has officially broke out of the
-
building. Love is actually on the loose.
-
We call it Night Out with Jesus. It's not about a title or church
-
name. It's about people who believe
-
that Jesus still walks the streets, still heals the broken,
-
still feeds the hungry, and still finds the one who's lost
-
at the gas pump, in the grocery store or sitting on the
-
sidewalk. Everywhere we go, miracles
-
happen. Same with me.
-
That's crazy. No, that's God.
-
The Kingdom of God isn't stuck inside the four walls of a
-
church. It's breaking out into the
-
neighborhoods. Parking lots, pizza shops and
-
St. Point groceries are being paid
-
for. Tears are turning into joy.
-
Addictions are losing their grip.
-
The lonely bill seen in the gospel, the good news comes
-
alive in real time. This is what we like to call
-
revival. With sneakers on wherever we go,
-
He goes before us, Jesus. Then he just teaches the
-
synagogue. He sat with the outcast.
-
This is the moon. This is the this is your
-
invitation to come out with us, to step into the story that God
-
is writing. Be the hands, be the feet, be
-
the light. This is night out with Jesus in
-
the streets. We'll never be the same.
-
Come on, Illuminate Church, let's get excited.
-
Come on everybody, say it with me.
-
That's crazy. No, that's God.
-
Come on, one more time. That's crazy.
-
No, that's God. Listen, we got to stop chasing
-
the that's crazy because we got to start following Jesus.
-
We chase Jesus and the that's crazy automatically happens.
-
Let me tell you something. What started out years ago, you
-
know, with two people, you know, that we, we were going to just
-
go bless somebody. We went to an IHOP and the whole
-
goal was to pay for their meal and then back up.
-
So we weren't going to go on a Friday night and spend the money
-
on us. We were going to spend it on
-
somebody else. So we wind up going to this
-
place, we IHOP to be exact. And we fed them and then we kind
-
of watched and then they kind of were like what?
-
And then we were like, boom, we ran home.
-
And then we that was our night out with Jesus.
-
Then we got the whole church to do it, and then the whole church
-
went out and we just invaded our community, the subway.
-
Nobody, there was no nobody left in that community that we didn't
-
touch with Jesus. Are you with me?
-
Every store around that community knew who we were, not
-
just because we were a building on the side, but because they
-
knew we were the church. And then we always said mission
-
American. We always thought about these
-
things. Then all of a sudden it wound up
-
to where Right there. I think we had 10 churches.
-
This last one in November, we have 15 churches.
-
Join us around the state of all the states in America and then I
-
winded up recording with a praise the Lord network, a
-
television show with Jim Baker and all that and they wind up
-
broadcasting to over 8 million homes.
-
And now what started with two people in the nudge of the Holy
-
Spirit. Now the guys like look, I'm
-
going to prophecy next year America will be saved 50 states
-
will do be doing night out with Jesus.
-
So we're hoping you guys can join us.
-
We're praying that Pastor Tim and you guys will be doing it in
-
Kissimmee. Why?
-
Because while everybody's getting fed all this negativity
-
and the Muslims this and that, and everybody's complaining
-
about stuff, I'm like, well, let's do something about it.
-
Let's mobilize, Let's get established and let's go out
-
there and show who Jesus is. Amen.
-
Praise God. Listen, let me tell you
-
something, Pastor Tim, everybody's sending me messages
-
because I don't know if you know this about your dad, but when he
-
was at Gay Raptor, he came in like this because he had all the
-
guys with tats and all that. I think he was sharing recipes.
-
You know, he had like guys who did 20 years in prison asking
-
about pancake recipes. I'm like, what is going on?
-
This guy has a superpower. And so he did incredible.
-
I love that your pastor is the same no matter where he goes.
-
And he was reaching all kinds of people and it was incredible.
-
Now, for those that don't know me in Pastor One, that's my
-
beautiful wow, I feel good. Look, this is my beautiful wife,
-
Ruthie. I call it my baby Ruth.
-
Listen, we have two books out there.
-
A lot of things. We reach a lot of prisons
-
because I was in prison for about 10 years.
-
Don't worry, I've been saved. So you don't have to run out
-
that you know, everything's OK. I did about 10 years in
-
physical, physical bars and then 23 years where I say I had bars
-
around my heart. This is henceforth why I wrote
-
this book, Prison Break. I didn't write it for the people
-
that were incarcerated. I wrote it for the church that
-
looked incarcerated and I should know, are you with me?
-
So this is how to actively listen.
-
And then this one is once you're free, let's learn how to live
-
the that's crazy. No, that's God life.
-
Stop chasing the big dramatic spectacular stuff because God is
-
into the little things and there's a lot of things that we
-
miss because we're looking for the wheelchair rather than peace
-
in the storm. Are you with me?
-
So this one is how to live though.
-
That's crazy. No, that's God.
-
We're going to teach you how to follow Jesus and then the rest
-
happens. Are you with me, pastors Tim and
-
Christine, thank you for the job that you guys are doing out
-
here. Incredible work.
-
Let's give it up for your pastors.
-
Let me give you that's crazy. No, that's God.
-
Connor Delaney. I know he's not here right now,
-
but my that's crazy. That guy done ran all kinds of
-
stuff that said with a broken foot in her.
-
I'm like, they can only be Jesus.
-
My goodness, listen, today we're going to talk.
-
The message obviously is going to be that's crazy.
-
Oh, come on, we're and listen, it's a matter of you're a little
-
late. You came in, that's all that
-
matters. And so listen, we we, we, we
-
talk about the supernatural, but we talk about it from a place of
-
being spooky or sensational. When I talk about the
-
supernatural, I mean a life of the Spirit working through the
-
believer. In other words, transforming
-
what's natural into godly. Come on, transformation.
-
This is the verse of the day, Ephesians 320 and 21.
-
OK, Ephesians 3/20/21. We'll get into some other
-
verses, but this is like the theme verse.
-
Are you ready? Come on.
-
Listen, there's this thing I do at the church and I don't know,
-
I want to make Bibles cool again.
-
So you have your Bibles. Let me see them, raise them like
-
you, like you just don't care. Oh, look at all these Bibles.
-
Pass the 10. This is my Bible.
-
Come on, stay with me. This is my Bible.
-
It's the word of God today. I'm good soil.
-
I'm going to hear what it says. I'm going to accept it and it's
-
going to bear fruit. Isn't the only job for you is to
-
hear and accept? Listen, if somebody was giving
-
you a gift and they gave me the gift and I go like this, did
-
that mean you accepted it? No, in order to accept it, I
-
have to almost use the gift, right?
-
You've taken a Christmas gift and stuck it in the closet.
-
You didn't really accept the gift, you actually re gifted it.
-
This is about that time of year where you start pulling out
-
those gifts. And so with Jesus, when he gives
-
you the word, you receive it. That means you accepted it.
-
That means you're going to live it out.
-
Are you with me? OK now to him who was able to do
-
immeasurably more. Everybody say immeasurably more
-
then all we ask or imagine according to his power,
-
according to whose power, his power that is at work within us.
-
Everybody say within me. Now the incredible part is that
-
a lot of times we read this and we're kind of selfish.
-
So we make this more about things, but immeasurably more.
-
He's talking about everything heaven has to offer through the
-
Spirit. He is talking about peace, joy,
-
revelation, salvation, transformation.
-
Come on supernatural provision, come on divine purpose.
-
Not more of just what we want, but the fullness of what God
-
wants for us. Can I get an Amen?
-
See, Paul is writing from a prison.
-
And this gets me a little bit excited because when I see that
-
Paul's writing from a prison, we can identify.
-
This is why I read the Bible and I go, OK, it's not that bad.
-
Doesn't matter where you were asked what you know, it's where
-
you end up. And so here he's writing from a
-
prison and I'm thinking, man, he's speaking like a free man
-
filled with faith, not in circumstances, but in the
-
supernatural capacity of God. Think about it.
-
He is in a prison and he is writing.
-
So I know a lot of times we go through things and maybe you're
-
in a circumstance right now and you rather go by sides and not
-
by faith or you rather go by the natural and not what God says.
-
And here I see a man who could be writing, man, I'm stuck here
-
in prison. I don't know when I'm going to
-
get out. Life's not good.
-
And he is like now to him who is able to do immeasurably more.
-
See, he is writing from a place that says heaven can intervene
-
any circumstance or any situation you might be going
-
through if you're a son or a daughter of the king.
-
See, what we call crazy is often God at work.
-
His ways are not our ways. They're supernatural.
-
If you would have told me that I would have been preaching the
-
gospel, that I would have been on any of this stuff that God
-
does, that sometimes I never even thought.
-
I don't even think of the outcomes.
-
I don't even know how I wind up there.
-
I just think about doing the little things well every day.
-
My marriage is awesome, not because of the vacations we
-
take, but by what we do every single day.
-
Are you with me? I never would have thought in a
-
million years that I would be preaching the gospel that we
-
would be doing night out with Jesus across America.
-
Some people have been in church a long time, and we've only been
-
as good as the chair. We live in a world where
-
supernatural things of God often look irrational, risky, or even
-
foolish to human logic. See, God's ways don't fit human
-
logic. Isaiah 55, eight and nine, it
-
says, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your
-
ways my ways, declares the Lord, when life doesn't make sense and
-
you can't see what God is doing. Isaiah 55 reminds us of this,
-
that God's plan is still perfect even when it feels painful.
-
I often ask people, do you think that God is perfect?
-
And everybody says yes. And I go, why do you go to him
-
after the after you go through something.
-
If I had a good friend that was perfect, I want you to just I'm
-
pausing for dramatic effect perfect.
-
Would you not ask him about everything first?
-
We usually go to him like a Hail Mary.
-
We don't read our Bibles. Some of us have like the whole
-
collection of Bibles, every translation, but we don't have
-
time. So do it by faith.
-
He delays. His delays are not denials.
-
They're divine designs. His mercy outlasts your
-
mistakes. This is where you see somebody
-
forgiving somebody or having mercy.
-
And you're like, man, that that person killed your, you know,
-
murdered your child. And you see them in the
-
courtroom. And I forgive him.
-
And you're like, whoa, because people don't see it often.
-
His vision includes what you can't see.
-
Instead of trying to understand everything, God invites us to
-
trust Him through everything. So my next point is that the
-
natural can't grasp the supernatural. 1st Corinthians
-
214 says the natural person does not accept the things of the
-
Spirit of God, for they are folly of foolishness to him.
-
I love reading first Corinthians 1-2 and three because you see
-
the natural mind at work. And he he begins to say, my
-
speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom,
-
but with a demonstration. Everybody say demonstration.
-
Come on, the demonstration of the Spirit's power so that your
-
faith tap your neighbor and say so that your faith, come on,
-
might not be based on human wisdom, but on God's power.
-
Illuminate church. I believe today a decision is
-
going to be made where the world is going to say that's crazy and
-
we're going to say no, that's God.
-
Where we're going to be walking this out and people are going to
-
see the demonstration of the power, not just human wisdom, he
-
said. I didn't come, you know, in
-
eloquent speech or persuasive words.
-
Come on. The planet is tired of just
-
seeing people that have no power.
-
Come on. There's no, there's these little
-
testimony like, oh, I go to church now.
-
Come on, you're going to last. I check.
-
I read the Bible. To follow Jesus, you have to
-
deny, crucify and follow. We're not we just say crucify.
-
We forget about deny. Deny means you could say no to
-
the flesh because you're alive with God and you crucify because
-
you got to do it his way. So it's going to hurt a little.
-
It's going to hurt your little ego.
-
It's going to hurt your little pride and then you follow in his
-
ways. It's quite simple, but we've
-
overcomplicated the gospel. When you take a step in faith,
-
the world should say that's crazy.
-
See the supernatural life is not about chasing experiences, but
-
about being transformed by the Spirit through faith in Christ
-
so that we can see his hand in all circumstances as we walk by
-
faith and not by sight. Let me tell you there are
-
stories. I love the which wheelchair
-
story I've seen, you know, heard of blind eyes open and deaf ears
-
pop. And you know, I, in the
-
beginning, I, I was like, God bring me a wheelchair and God
-
brought him like 2 minutes later.
-
And so they brought him in. I, I, I freaked out.
-
I put my hand on his shoulder and I was like, Lord bless his
-
family. And I walked away.
-
Few minutes before that I was like, I'm going to stand them
-
up. Full of pride, full of ego, not
-
enough dependence on God. But then the day came and we
-
were in this little city called Palacios, TX, Small town,
-
everybody knows everybody and I'm there and I'm preaching.
-
My wife says I thought I took the man's Walker and put it to
-
the side, but she said I grabbed it and chucked it across the
-
room. That's crazy.
-
So I Chuck it across the room. I don't even realize what I'm
-
doing. I just thought I did like this.
-
But you know, and then he falls over, grabs me, and before you
-
know him, we're jumping up and down.
-
You know, he's excited. Then he starts running.
-
The service that started at 10:30 winded up ending at 3:00
-
in the afternoon. The the altar became, I didn't
-
even have to do an altar call. They just they just ran up there
-
and they started confessing their sins.
-
Come on. Everybody got of that
-
complacency and that comfortable Christianity by faith.
-
Everybody moved forward because they seen the power and the
-
demonstration of what God can do.
-
Listen, we got to start start walking by faith and not by
-
sight. Second Corinthians 57 says for
-
we walk by faith and not by sight.
-
And a lot of times I've seen these cute little posts on
-
Facebook and all the social media where they say, you know,
-
faith is the opposite of fear. And I'm like, that's not
-
accurate. The opposite of faith is sight.
-
And the reason why you get into fear is because you're walking
-
by sight. And fear is not just a little
-
feeling, it's the spirit of fear.
-
But He gave you spirit of power, love, and sound mind.
-
He did not give you the spirit of fear.
-
So when you're in the fear or insight, when you're in fear
-
because you're walking by sight and not by faith, you're
-
actually in the demonic realm. Are you with me?
-
The enemy will always try to talk you out of living by faith.
-
He'll use fear, logic and delay. You got to replace fear with
-
truth. Fear is fueled by lies about
-
God, about you, about your future.
-
See, faith doesn't deny reality. It declares God's authority over
-
it. I think of all these times where
-
I was challenged and I think about even Noah building boats.
-
And his ways are not always in his thoughts.
-
And he's building. We would have looked at it
-
through sight and we would have been like, you know what?
-
He needs a new sermon. Pastor Tim, 120 years, nobody
-
saved, only his family. That guy can't be a pastor.
-
And yet in God's will, it was perfect.
-
This is how God calls us. He he called us into ministry
-
where one day I was a translator for for this church.
-
I was making $300 a month and everybody was like, hey, you
-
need to go get a job. Are you going to support your
-
family? But I knew in here that the Lord
-
was telling me to do that. And so that means that I had to
-
go through some suffering. We don't like that word in
-
church. Come on.
-
Whenever you're getting crucified, you should be
-
suffering. That's really where you
-
experience resurrection. Without suffering, there's no
-
resurrection. Are you with me?
-
So I'm translating, you know, Hola como estan tolos.
-
You know, I mean, it was exciting.
-
I was so saying, you know, on this, I mean, you know, big ups,
-
all my Puerto Ricans. Come on.
-
Hey, hold on. Can we come back?
-
Let me come back. Let me come back.
-
And that's what happens when you're before you know it, you
-
know? So I got to come back.
-
I got to come. We got to get.
-
Hold on. Holy, holy, holy Whip.
-
Hold on. Hey, all these words.
-
I'm like, see, I know there's a lot of Puerto Ricans here.
-
They're going to pass with him. You haven't brought the Puerto
-
Rican guy back. I love a multicultural church.
-
And so we're doing that. And all of a sudden he says,
-
hey, listen, I got a problem with the Spanish pastor.
-
Do you mind like taking over for a little while?
-
And I was like, I don't want to be no pastor.
-
I said, I'm going to be ripping and running.
-
I'm a bad come on. He's like, no, no, no, like,
-
like think about it. And so we go and I tell my wife
-
and she laughs because it's early stages and she's like,
-
look, I don't, I don't. And I for me too, because when I
-
met Jesus, he was like, hi, Juan, how are you?
-
He didn't say como esta. When I met Jesus, it was more
-
like, you know, American Jesus. Now I know how to talk Spanish,
-
but to show you how bad it was, you know my mom, you know, I
-
called her and I was like, Mom, you have a whole Bible, miss, a
-
whole book missing because I was looking for James.
-
And I thought to me, you know, we're Puerto Rican.
-
So we make everything make like Sprite is a Sprite.
-
Like we don't we don't change the words.
-
So I just thought James was Jaime.
-
So I'm like, I, there's no J up in here.
-
So I call her. She's like, son, it's Santiago.
-
So I'm like, why don't they just make it easy?
-
Even that was a mystery, right? So just to show you where I was
-
at. And now my wife goes to fast and
-
I fast and we come back all sad. What did he say?
-
He's like he said yes. And so there we go.
-
We're running a Spanish congregation.
-
But in that, see, God will hide things in insignificant places
-
because most people don't look there.
-
You look for the easy and the big, and God likes to hide it in
-
a little boy with a sandwich bag.
-
He's into the little things like what's big for God?
-
You ever think of that? We think God's like, oh, this
-
was big. He's like, no, he loves the
-
little things. You do the little things.
-
Well, he'll make you ruler over much.
-
But we're so focused on the ruler over much, we missed the
-
little things. That's why I like when we give,
-
when we pray, when we fat, that's not like do it.
-
When we do it, that's like when like like brushing your teeth.
-
But we think those little things don't matter.
-
So we're just running around looking for the big, spectacular
-
thing, the next big profit, the next big deliverance comp, the
-
next big. And it's like, no, that's cool.
-
That's a good catalyst. But it should point you back to
-
the little things. Are you with me?
-
Oh this is so good. So we wind up taking it and
-
there I got the heart of a pastor.
-
Before you know it, we start a Bible study with eight people
-
because the Lord put in my heart like start a Bible study.
-
So I'm like, OK, no plant. I didn't even know I was
-
planting a church. Peston.
-
I'm just like, all right, I got a Bible.
-
I want to see people free. I was crying in the back talking
-
to Wayne because I'm like, I still have that same.
-
Like, I still want to see people free.
-
Tired of seeing people not experience what I've experienced
-
in 15 years. And you've been in church 30
-
years already. And I'm thinking, wow, this is
-
so good. Everybody needs to know about
-
this. And so we, we start with that
-
thought and we got eight people. And I told my wife in the car
-
and go, babe, guess what we're going to do?
-
Oh, we needed a new place. So I go, we're moving and she's,
-
we, she's like, oh, well, how we're going to move.
-
We barely could afford. And this place was $200 more.
-
That's crazy. It's $200 more.
-
It's not making sense. Come on.
-
We're building a boat before it rains.
-
And so we're tripping out and she's like, so were you going to
-
leave your $300 job? We're going to move to an
-
apartment that costs more, and we're going to do a Bible study.
-
I'm like, doesn't that sound awesome?
-
And guess how I thought? I said, babe, I know this is
-
true, that I know this is real because the apartment said
-
mansions at Turkey Creek. And she said, well, how do you
-
know? I said, babe, there's a verse
-
that says that he prepared for us a mansion and he said heaven
-
on earth. So I'm not waiting.
-
These are our mansions. And guess what?
-
It worked. But it did not make sense to the
-
logic or the reasoning of my mind.
-
I had to walk by faith. Don't minimize the small ways
-
God is working in your life. The supernatural is already
-
happening. You just need to see it.
-
You need to open up your eyes. It's already there.
-
We actually walk this out by faith, by the finished work of
-
the cross. You see, faith is God's realm.
-
See, a lot of times we think that faith is just like, for the
-
big moment, I got to have faith. It's like, no, you're supposed
-
to live by faith. When you walk by faith, it means
-
your lifestyle, your habits, your direction, your daily
-
decisions. See, when you walk by sight,
-
that's the fleshes realm. And some of us walk in the
-
fleshes fleshes realm as a lifestyle.
-
That's where we get our decisions from.
-
Fear is the enemy's realm. That's the demonic realm.
-
Sight means basically how you see, what you see, what you
-
perceive, what you interpret, what you feel.
-
Not just your physical eyes, but natural thinking.
-
See, the supernatural is already at work.
-
According to James, 1/2 through 4.
-
The testing of your faith produces endurance.
-
The testing of your faith produces endurance.
-
Miracles aren't always about the spectacular.
-
They're about transformation. See, it's it's about having
-
peace in the middle of chaos, Forgiveness towards someone who
-
hurts you, kindness towards an enemy, joy when the enemy
-
attacks. All of these things, my, my,
-
I've been on this quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow
-
to get angry. I just been on this thing
-
because I've realized in life that what's made my life better
-
is not being reactive, but responding.
-
When you're reacting, most of the time you're in your flesh.
-
When you're responding most of the time you're in faith because
-
you're pausing. How do you know?
-
Because the beginning of chapter 1.
-
Remember, consider it a pure joy when you have various trials,
-
right? You have trials, you have things
-
that happen. He says ask for wisdom later.
-
It says be quick to listen, so to speak, and so to get angry.
-
What does that mean? That when I'm going through
-
life, something happens. I need to unplug and pause.
-
Why? Because I'm having a trial.
-
I'm going to go to God first, ask Him for wisdom so that
-
heaven can intervene so I could be led by the Spirit, not by my
-
flesh or not by the natural realm that is also demonic.
-
Are you with me? And these things are important.
-
They're so important. They're so important.
-
It's so interesting that we we've forgotten about Ray.
-
I love Oh, listen, oh man, this time's up text Pastor Tim and
-
he's like, I'm on my Sabbath. I'm going with my kids.
-
I'm going. He takes care of his home first.
-
A lot of us, we the only time we have Jesus, when we come in here
-
at home, they're like, you know, I was always, that was the only
-
thing that had me nervous about ministering the gospel and all
-
that was like that. I never wanted to be up here
-
when my kids are all in their 30s and 20s, right?
-
I never wanted to look down and my kids be duck lipping me like,
-
like you don't do that because I mean, you can get over once you
-
can get over when they're like 8-6, they don't know no better.
-
But when they get older, they're like, yeah, he sure gets angry.
-
And I don't ever see him. Be gentle.
-
Are you with me? Because even if you miss it,
-
they should see the gospel. They should see, hey, man, my
-
bad. I wasn't really kind with you
-
right now. And I should have maybe said
-
that a little different. But sometimes, man, I'm telling
-
you, I've been walking this out and I don't know why God winds
-
up putting a crazy Puerto Rico like me on television.
-
But sometimes I get on there and I see stuff and I'm like, what
-
is going on? He would be looking like they
-
baptized in vinegar, little Tabasco sauce.
-
On top of that, they're like upset with the world.
-
I'm like no joy, no peace, no kindness, no love.
-
But listen, they could say Jesus and I'm like, oh, there's no
-
power in that got him. Listen, the only one, the only
-
way you could experience everything I'm talking to you
-
about so you don't become a chaser of the times.
-
My Bible says that there's going to be rumors of war.
-
There's going to be rumors that. Don't worry about that.
-
Why is everybody worried? I know Jesus.
-
Are you with me? Come on.
-
There's the trap of offense happening in the latter days.
-
The undertone of everybody's offended.
-
Don't fall for the trap. See, to see these things, you
-
can't look at it in the natural. That's why social media, you
-
know why social media does so well?
-
Because everybody thinks in the natural and looks at sight.
-
But if you was to pause for a minute, you don't get caught up
-
in that stuff. You just have side conversations
-
with other guys who have wisdom. Are you with me?
-
You have to be born from above. You have to be born again.
-
John 3 says it like this. You can read 3 through 8, right?
-
It talks about what the flesh gives the flesh, the Spirit
-
gives the spirit. But but this part right here,
-
unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.
-
Listen, Nicodemus could not understand this.
-
He said how can a man go back into his mother's womb?
-
That is living in the natural, that is living by sight.
-
You got to understand something. This guy prayed, fasted, he did
-
all that, read his Bible. He knew the Bible probably
-
better than some of the people that you know today, but yet he
-
could not see the Kingdom because you can't grasp the
-
supernatural with the natural. You have to be born again.
-
That's the supernatural moment when heaven touches your soul,
-
your spirit. Man, come on.
-
There's words we toss around like the regeneration of the
-
Holy Spirit. There's all these terms,
-
repentance, all these things. The Spirit of God doesn't just
-
come to visit, He comes to inhabit.
-
You have to be once you're born again, you become a new
-
creation. Listen, I want, I want to show
-
you this little video that they're going to be playing in
-
the back. Let's see how it starts.
-
And you're going to see this Caterpillar.
-
See this Caterpillar? Everybody see the Caterpillar.
-
Just take a look at that Caterpillar.
-
I'm going to let you Stew on that Caterpillar because we
-
think that salvation is just the makeover or remodeling, but it's
-
spiritual metamorphosis. That is when you're transformed
-
by the renewing of your mind is the word metamorpho.
-
And you see this Caterpillar. Just enjoy me.
-
Let you watch it for a little bit just so you could have a
-
little fun watching the Caterpillar.
-
And you see it's crawling up the thing and you know, he's having
-
a blast. He's like, oh, I'm just
-
crawling, you know. Then all of a sudden he starts
-
experiencing metamorpho. And see, the problem is that a
-
Caterpillar doesn't crawl better when it becomes a butterfly.
-
It flies because it's nature changed.
-
That's what happens when you're in Christ.
-
You don't live by willpower. You live by his power.
-
Now let me tell you, you crawled.
-
This is what we're trying to do at church.
-
We're trying to crawl better and I just came here to have a
-
better life. I was going to my finances to
-
get a little better. You know my day to get a little
-
better. You know, I want my relationship
-
just to get a little better. And so you're crawling a little
-
faster all in your effort. You know you're getting wore
-
out. That's it.
-
I crawled a little better last week.
-
Thanks for your prayers this week.
-
Try and crawl again and you just go through this crawling thing
-
and that's how most people. But let me tell you what's
-
happening there, OK? Because you are born again, a
-
new creation. This is about to be a new
-
creation. They say that I used to have a
-
message a long time ago called no struggle, no flight.
-
When it's in the cocoon, it's basically denying, dying,
-
denying, dying. No struggle, no flight, right?
-
It's in there waiting because it's getting fluid in its wings
-
so that when it's done it could come out and fly because if it
-
doesn't do this, read its Bible and fast and pray, posture their
-
hearts and learn all the Christian terms and believe in
-
our hearts and come in agreement that he is actually Lord.
-
It's not just the words, it's a belief in your hearts.
-
Confess with your mouth. Look at what happens.
-
He is going after it and all of a sudden, and I was thinking
-
right now, I was like, man, imagine it didn't do that.
-
It would just come out and be a butterfly and it wouldn't have
-
no power. It would just fall.
-
But because it was in there, look at this.
-
I should have had somebody come out with some wings.
-
Listen, God is not looking. Listen, you weren't just sick in
-
your sin. You were dead.
-
And He doesn't want you to crawl better.
-
It's not a remodeled view. It's a pull everything up,
-
foundation, walls, all of it. He's like, hey, matter of fact,
-
the dirt don't even look good. Let's get some new dirt in
-
there. And he wants to change you from
-
the inside out. I'm looking for some people who
-
want to fly like a butterfly and sing like a bee.
-
Come on, you are new nature. You don't live like that
-
anymore. You are new, totally transformed
-
by the power of the blood. Oh, Jesus, Oh, I feel the Holy
-
Spirit in this room tapping on shoulders, saying, hey, maybe
-
you've been a carnal Christian. You've been living led by the
-
flesh, and you have a little good week and then bad week,
-
good week, bad week. You just keep going back and
-
forth. You just want to crawl a little
-
bit. Then you want to fly.
-
You want to crawl. You want to fly.
-
Craw, fly, craw, fly. Maybe you're just not.
-
You've just been a catholer this whole time.
-
You've been at church for a long time and you just been trying to
-
crawl better because you didn't understand a completely new
-
nature. Born again.
-
You were dead and now you're alive.
-
Let let me read it for you in Scripture.
-
Ephesians 2, one through 5 and you were dead in your trespasses
-
and sins in which you once walked.
-
See if you're constantly doing the same thing, Catherine,
-
you're just a Caterpillar. You haven't been born again.
-
You're not a butterfly. You're not saved following the
-
course of this world. It's not just the people out
-
there. It's a world system following
-
the Prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now is at
-
work in the sons of disobedience.
-
You're constantly disobedient. You come to church, but you're
-
constantly disobedient throughout the weeks, about the
-
months, throughout the years. Matter of fact, instead of
-
yelling happy New Year this year, you should yell happy same
-
year. Among whom we all once lived in
-
the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the
-
body and the mind. And we're by nature children of
-
wrath like the rest of mankind. Oh, this is a that's crazy.
-
No, that's God moments ready. That's crazy because we were all
-
there. Maybe some of you are still
-
there, but God, come on. But God, listen, I don't know
-
what situation you're in, but right now he wants to intervene
-
with a But God being rich in his mercy because of the great love
-
with which he loved us even when we were dead and our trespassers
-
made us alive. I feel like that butterfly I'm
-
shaking right now. I feel like jiggle, wiggle,
-
jiggle, wiggle, jiggle, wiggle made us alive together with
-
Christ. Together with who?
-
So you can only be alive if you are born again, new creation
-
together with Christ, living in the power of the blood.
-
It says by grace you have been saved.
-
The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.
-
I don't know if I have anybody in this room who is willing to
-
be transformed, who is willing to fly, who is with.
-
Come on, Stand up with me. Y'all.
-
Stand up. Stand up.
-
Oh, I feel like, listen, we ain't looking for a revival.
-
But I send something in the atmosphere.
-
I send something. Some people will be born again.
-
I feel it. Born again.
-
Born again. Come on.
-
Someone who's been led by the flesh right now are being
-
crucified. Come on.
-
Oh, Jesus, I'm stirred up. I am stirred up.
-
Listen, I I, I want to do something.
-
I want God to open your eyes. I want God to help you see what
-
he's doing in the middle of what you don't understand.
-
I met a person in the last service that was.
-
I feel like the spirits of homosexuality broke and she was
-
so excited and she was like, I don't even know why I'm crying.
-
I was like, you're a new nature man.
-
You're like, she's like, I joined the I joined the young
-
adults. She was like, I'm coming.
-
I'm doing all these things. I've been in church.
-
She goes, I quit smoking pot two weeks ago.
-
I'm like, girl, learn how to fly.
-
Are you with me? I feel like God is breaking
-
something in this room. What looks crazy is really, God,
-
are you with me? And So what I want you to do
-
right now is I want you to close your eyes.
-
Listen, you're closing your eyes because we're stopping
-
distraction. Listen, maybe you've never
-
closed your eyes in a moment like this before, but God wants
-
to speak to me and every person in this room at this moment.
-
Come on, if Jesus right in the room right now, in this moment,
-
I want you to give him your full attention and I want every mouth
-
in the room to move and say this Holy Spirit, what are you saying
-
to me? Ready go.
-
Thanks for joining us today. We hope God is speaking to your
-
heart through this message. If you'd like to connect with
