  1. Crossing Nation. How you doing?

  2. It is so good to hang out with each and every single one of

  3. you. I hope you had a great week of

  4. ministry. It was wonderful, being able to

  5. participate and enjoy Easter services with so many of you.

  6. As we started our brand new sermon series called if and in

  7. continuation of this sermon series designed to strengthen

  8. the faith of those who have it and start the faith of those who

  9. are looking for it. We have a A very special guest.

  10. Ken Ham is the CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis, it is

  11. highly acclaimed. The highly acclaimed Creation

  12. Museum, as well as the renowned world-renowned Ark encounter.

  13. He is the author of more than 25 books can and his wife, reside.

  14. In Northern Kentucky, they have five children, 18 grandchildren,

  15. suffice to say this means tired. But more importantly, this man

  16. is smart. Art.

  17. He loves Jesus and he's here this weekend with us.

  18. Will you put your hands together and welcome our new friend to

  19. the crossing Ken Ham? Well, thanks fighting straight

  20. to be here. Of course, you did forget to

  21. tell people that I came from Australia originally.

  22. So I hope I still sound like that and actually, I find as an

  23. Australian in America. People love the Australian

  24. accent and they say, doesn't matter what you say.

  25. We just love to hear you saying it so I can get away with

  26. whatever. Well, I come from an

  27. organization called Answers in Genesis and it's an apologetics

  28. organization. And that's a word we're going to

  29. talk about in this. This presentation apologetics

  30. and I'll come back to that. It doesn't mean we apologize for

  31. our faith, quite the opposite. We're showing people, we can

  32. defend the Christian faith and giving answers to the skeptical

  33. questions about age. We also build the two leading

  34. Christian themed attractions in the world.

  35. The ark encounter is a life-size Noah's Ark and we get thousands

  36. of people coming in there every day and we have a conference

  37. center. And virtual reality ride, a

  38. carousel zoo, we have all sorts of interesting, Seeing things,

  39. they're from a Biblical perspective Ziplines because

  40. Christians can have fun too and you can walk through the arc,

  41. sub 510 feet, long 3.3 million board feet of Timber and has 130

  42. different exhibits in there and we answer all sorts of skeptical

  43. questions that people have to help them to be able to defend

  44. their faith. How could now get the animals on

  45. the ark? And where's the evidence of the

  46. flood? And how do you explain fossils

  47. and all those sorts of things? We have live animal Alms as well

  48. teaching from a Biblical worldview perspective because

  49. when you go to the zoo, it's mainly Evolution that you hear

  50. everything from an evolutionist perspective.

  51. And so people pour in here, A whole emphasis to is helping

  52. people understand that this event in the Bible was true

  53. because the Bible's history is true.

  54. And the message of the Gospel based on that, history is true.

  55. And then the Creation Museum which really is like a whole.

  56. Walk Through the Bible, we have beautiful gardens there and

  57. children's playground and so on we have an animal experience

  58. area as well. And zip lines are two again

  59. because Christians can have fun and we have lots of other fun

  60. things, we have a planetarium with a laser projection system

  61. and also 4-D Theater and then a whole Walk Through the Bible,

  62. answering all sorts of questions, explaining in the

  63. whole history of the Bible. We walk through all the

  64. different major events of the Bible.

  65. We present the gospel based in that history.

  66. We have a dinosaur exhibit Insectarium and we also have the

  67. most powerful pro-life exhibit in the world.

  68. And that has really had an impact on people.

  69. We have a Borderland exhibit what happened between the Old

  70. Testament and the New Testament. Christmas lights all sorts of

  71. Christmas programming at both locations and now you all want

  72. to come, right? A burst of scripture want to

  73. start off with is First, Peter 3:15, always be prepared to make

  74. a defense or answer. Now, defense or answer is

  75. translated from the Greek word apologia from which we get our

  76. word apologetics. What it really means is to give

  77. a logical reason defense of the faith.

  78. One of the things I find today in something that's missing from

  79. a lot of the church. I find a lot of the materials

  80. that are used is. Most people are not being

  81. taught, how to answer the skeptical questions of the age,

  82. when people come up to you and say, well, how did Noah get the

  83. animals on the ark? Well, Why?

  84. What about the age of the Earth? Well, what do you what do you

  85. believe about Cain's wife or where did the different races of

  86. people come from and so on and the Skeptics use those questions

  87. to say? See the Bible's not true and for

  88. a lot of people have been so impacted by the secular World in

  89. evolutionary ideas, they doubt that you can really trust a

  90. God's word. So, what I wanted to show you is

  91. what a difference, it makes when we can go out there and defend

  92. our faith. So some comes up to you and

  93. says, well, how do we know there's a God?

  94. Do you believe in God? Wildest science confirm an

  95. infinite god. Well let me just give you one

  96. little example here, DNA that molecule of heredity you know,

  97. it makes up our chromosomes as jeans.

  98. All the information that builds us as a human or builds a dog or

  99. a cat or a horse or whatever. You know, that molecule of

  100. Coretta. Tree was discovered in 1953 by

  101. two British scientists Crick and Watson and they were atheists.

  102. And when they discovered that model a build a model of it,

  103. I've been over to London where you see the actual model of DNA.

  104. You know what they said? They said this proves is no God.

  105. In fact, when he was 86 years old Crick said at the 50th

  106. anniversary of the discovery of that molecule, the god

  107. hypothesis is rather discredited he'd need.

  108. He says, his distaste for religion, was one of the Prime

  109. motives in the work that led to that Sensational Discovery.

  110. In other words, he said, one of the main reasons we set out to

  111. find out about this, molecule of heredity, is to show people.

  112. There is no God because Cuz he was an atheist and then when

  113. they discovered that DNA molecule, they said here it is.

  114. It's just a molecule life is built on chemistry, there is no

  115. God. Well we've done a lot of work

  116. since end on DNA. You know what we found out?

  117. DNA is not just chemistry, you know what DNA is.

  118. It's an information system in a language system.

  119. See think about this for a moment.

  120. If you have a piece of rope and you've got red and blue beads,

  121. those red blue beads are spell out the word help you all know

  122. that. Right?

  123. If you know the morse code they spell out the word help.

  124. If you don't know the morse code they're red and blue beads on a

  125. route. But if you know that if you know

  126. the language then you understand it.

  127. Do you realize if we had enough rope and enough beads, we could

  128. spell out the entire Bible using pieces of rope and Beads like

  129. that. But, here's the thing, when I

  130. would University, I remember a faster saying, look, there's no

  131. God, just by chance random processes, all these molecules

  132. came together course. The question is, where they come

  133. from in the first place. Well they don't want to answer

  134. that, don't worry about that but they all came together by chance

  135. random processes to form DNA. Bingo, there's life and he

  136. didn't experiment. He said, let's cut the letters

  137. of the alphabet up, put them in a hat.

  138. And then he handed the hat around the class and ask

  139. students to pull out letters, three of them in a row pulled

  140. out baat. He said, oh look, we got a word,

  141. but we got a word by chance given enough time we could get

  142. more words given enough time. Even though it sounds remote,

  143. you must admit by chance. You could actually get

  144. sentences. You could get the Yeah, I see

  145. that's what happened. Millions years ago, it just was

  146. by chance, just right Arrangement at the right time

  147. and got life but that would be 80.

  148. Is that a word to a Japanese or Chinese?

  149. A Frenchman whose in a word to, it's only a word to somebody who

  150. already has the language. When you look at my Bible here

  151. it's in the English language but if I only spoke Russian, I

  152. wouldn't be able to read it. You've got to know the language

  153. to read it. And you know, here's the

  154. interesting thing. When you look at DNA DNA, Like

  155. all these molecules if you like base pairs and there are all

  156. lined up in a particular order, but you've got to have a

  157. language to be able to read them.

  158. Well, you know, that DNA makes the language that reads the DNA

  159. and other words, he's got the information to make the language

  160. and it's got the information. DNA is like a whole library of

  161. information with all these engineering diagrams, and all

  162. the instructions on how to build a human or a cat, or a dog.

  163. And then DNA has information to read the Structures to make it

  164. work. And, you know, something that we

  165. know for sure. No one has ever seen matter.

  166. Produced one bit of information, do you know how much information

  167. is in living things? Zillions, of bits of information

  168. in living things? No one's ever seen matter.

  169. Produced one bit of information. No one's ever seen matter

  170. producer language language is only come from an intelligence

  171. information. Only comes from an intelligence,

  172. you're not a DNA, really cries out in the beginning.

  173. God created is an exciting to be a Christian.

  174. Wow, there's few people excited. And so hopefully a lot of you

  175. excited courses excited to be a Christian.

  176. Hey you know what? Romans 1:20 says for his

    Romans 1:20

  177. invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature

  178. have been clearly perceived ever since the creation of the world

  179. in that things that have been made.

  180. So they are without excuse, can you see now?

  181. Why the Bible says? If you don't believe in God, you

  182. without excuse, because there's no way life could come about by

  183. chance random processes. And yet, for those who don't

  184. believe the Bible, they believe there was a big bang billions

  185. years ago. They can't explain, where matter

  186. came from, or a Thing like that. Why does time exists?

  187. Why does space exists? They can't explain anything like

  188. that. Somehow, there's energy.

  189. There's matter. There's a big bang and somehow

  190. this Earth forms, and then somehow molecules supposedly

  191. come together and form information, and form a language

  192. to enable one kind of animal to change into another.

  193. As more information, is formed over millions of years where

  194. we've never seen matter, produced one bit of information.

  195. You see why the Bible says, if you don't believe you without

  196. excuse, and in fact, the interesting thing, Is I have

  197. people like atheist, who will say to me?

  198. Oh, you Christians, you have a blind faith in God?

  199. No, no, we don't have a blind faith.

  200. We have an objective faith. We have a faith that makes sense

  201. of the facts and actually science observational science.

  202. Confirms, it is the atheist that has a blind faith.

  203. Not only a blind. Faith is more than that, it's a

  204. faith, that lacks credulity, because there's no basis,

  205. whatever that they have for explaining how life could arise

  206. by chance, random processes. And just to give you a little

  207. example here, How inconsistent people are in regard to these

  208. sorts of things? You imagine.

  209. I'm sure you've seen programs on television where scientists will

  210. go into a cave, and there's a look in this cave.

  211. They'll find an arrowhead. And as soon as they find an

  212. arrowhead, they'll say, ah, they're human beings here,

  213. evidence of intelligence look, you can see from the card

  214. Arrowhead. See, that's evidence of

  215. intelligence. Then they look at DNA the most

  216. complex information system in the entire universe and they

  217. say, chance, chance chance. Chance yet, they look at an

  218. arrowhead and they say, intelligence intelligent.

  219. You see why the Bible says, if you don't believe you without

  220. excuse. But of course, then there are

  221. people that say to me, well who made God then and you know,

  222. these are the sorts of questions we need to answer.

  223. How do you answer a nine-year-old or a six-year-old?

  224. When they say, you know, mum dad who made God well, we need to be

  225. able to have answers for what we believe.

  226. That's what we specialize in & Answers in Genesis, helping us

  227. to have those answers. That's apologetics I am boy come

  228. up on stage once at a conference and he said mr.

  229. Ham, who made God I said, well, son.

  230. If somebody made God, you have to have a bigger God, right?

  231. Well, yes sir, I said now we got a problem.

  232. Yes, sir. Well who made the bigger God?

  233. You don't have a bigger big guy. Who made the big guy to may God,

  234. right? Oh yes sir, I said now you got a

  235. problem. He said yes sir I said who made

  236. the bigger bigger God, you have to have a big, a big, a big guy

  237. who made the bigger be going to make the big God may God, right?

  238. Yes sir. Now I got a problem.

  239. I know who made the bigamy. Mm God.

  240. Having a bigger bigger bigger bigger God.

  241. Who made the bigger bigger? Bigger made the big a big yard

  242. maybe going to make God, right? Yes, sir.

  243. Well, now you got. I know, I know and I said, see,

  244. you go back and you get the biggest God of all, you got to

  245. keep going back and getting bigger and bigger.

  246. You're the biggest guy out of all very first verse of the

  247. Bible. In the beginning, God who exists

  248. outside of time, nobody Creator, God, he is the Creator.

  249. And that's the only thing that makes sense of what we see.

  250. And there's always a faith aspect.

  251. That's true without faith. It's impossible to please God,

  252. because we're finite beings and we're created beings.

  253. We can't understand a being who wasn't created because we are

  254. created and we're created in time.

  255. But when you take God's word, they claims to be the word of

  256. the one, who's always been there.

  257. He makes sense of what we see over and over again, we see

  258. science, confirms what the Bible is saying.

  259. This is the word of God. Let me give you another example.

  260. What about the account of the flood in the Bible and Noah's

  261. Ark seeing is just talked about the life-size art that we have

  262. there in Northern Kentucky, does science confirm the account of

  263. the Ark, you know, one of the most asked questions I've been

  264. asked over the years is this, well, how could Noah get all the

  265. land out of all kinds on the ark?

  266. Well, he didn't get all the species on the ark because

  267. species aren't kinds. I want to explain what I mean by

  268. that when you come to the ark encounter, those are said, when

  269. not if when you come to the ark encounter, you'll see we have on

  270. the first deck, a little exhibit.

  271. We say at the most only 1393 animal kinds on the ark, we

  272. think it's much less than that. That it's an argument.

  273. You know, that overestimates for that for the sake of argument,

  274. but we think it's probably less than 1,000 animal.

  275. Kinds not millions of species. A thousand animal kinds.

  276. And we have a list of all kinds there and all the research that

  277. we did to explain how we explain those kinds.

  278. You see the Bible says in This is 124 that God made kinds

  279. according to their kind kinds so we have to understand what a

  280. kind is. And then in Genesis 6, it says,

  281. two of each kind seven pairs of some but two of each kind of

  282. land-dwelling air-breathing animals, not the sea creatures

  283. was just a land-dwelling, everything animals went on the

  284. ark. Now we have a classification

  285. system. Kingdom phylum, class order,

  286. family, genus species. And we would say this, our

  287. research has shown and I'll show you how we came.

  288. To this, that the kind in the Bible is more at the family

  289. level of classification, not genus and species, mainly

  290. family. If you take dogs there there's a

  291. lot of different species of dogs and you can show that all those

  292. different species are interconnected genetically.

  293. In other words, this species bread, with this one, this one

  294. with this one, this one with that one that one with this one

  295. that one never bread with that one but they're connected.

  296. And if you can breed them like that and they're all connected,

  297. it means they're all the one kind.

  298. So I would say that old dogs are the one kind and they're all the

  299. one kind at the family level of classification.

  300. So when God made the animals and we made humans he made the dog

  301. kind. He made the cat.

  302. Kind, he made the human kind right now.

  303. We're not animals. We're different, we made in the

  304. image of God and so when he made those kinds, he made them from

  305. that DNA that molecule per entity, but it's filled with

  306. With all sorts of information so much information, we call it

  307. genetic diversity. That allows great variation

  308. within a kind, if you look at the world today, 8 billion

  309. people. And we all look a little

  310. different to each other, but we're all human beings and we

  311. all actually go back to Adam and Eve.

  312. So all dogs, even though they look a little different from

  313. each other, that reflects all that genetic diversity that God

  314. built into their DNA in the first place.

  315. Now, two of each kind, seven, pairs of some when I'm bored

  316. Noah's Ark. So, There'll be two dogs that

  317. went on the ark. They come off the ark, two of

  318. the dog kind. And then what happens?

  319. They get married have kids. I get married, have kids, I get

  320. married had kids until you end up with, you know, your

  321. homeschool family of dogs that we have there.

  322. Now, we look at that and we say, okay, how'd you get you

  323. different species? Well, what happens is and

  324. particularly, After the flood, there's a diversity of

  325. environments because the flood caused climate change, massive

  326. climate change actually. And so did the Ice Age generated

  327. by the flood. You got to understand the events

  328. of history and the Bible. Do you even understand what's

  329. happening in the world today? And so, as those animals moved

  330. away from each other, those had that as they were breeding in

  331. groups, moving away from each other, those that had

  332. combinations of genes for longer hair, survive better in a colder

  333. climate, those have combinations for shorter hair survive,

  334. better, and hotter climate. You get the idea and so

  335. depending on which bread with us, which died out how isolated

  336. there were over time. You end up producing different

  337. species of dogs. And so we look at all those PCS

  338. today. And here's what we need to

  339. understand, they weren't on the ark.

  340. They didn't exist Before the Flood.

  341. There are descendants of the two that went on the ark and it's

  342. just a sorting out of the information that's already

  343. there. See evolutionist you think about

  344. it? They tell us that life evolved.

  345. Well, how did they--how did you get all this information?

  346. Well, it had to be new information form from matter

  347. over and over again. Millions Aliens trillion

  348. zillions of times. We've never seen matter.

  349. Produced one bit of information. This fits exactly with what

  350. you'd expect based on the Bible God made distinct kinds.

  351. Great genetic diversity within a kind whom they belong A

  352. variation. And after the flood is a move

  353. away from each other, you can get those different species

  354. forming and then you realize God didn't need the number of

  355. animals on the ark. We think he didn't eat all the

  356. species of cats. Just two of the cat kind.

  357. He didn't need all the species of Two of the dog kind and so it

  358. goes on, remember the humankind, all of us, we only go back to to

  359. Adam and Eve and if we get time will quickly look at that as

  360. well, but this science confirm the account of the flood.

  361. Well, the Bible says, there was a global flood water, covering

  362. the highest hills out of the hole of of heaven.

  363. And it was about 4,300 years ago, according to the Bible, If

  364. there really was a global flood, you'd expect to find billions of

  365. dead things buried. Read in rock, layers laid down

  366. by water. All over the Earth, by the way.

  367. Do you know what you find? Billions of dead things buried

  368. in rock, layers, laid, down by water, all over the Earth.

  369. And as you look at the fossil record, here's what you notice.

  370. The fossils are beautifully preserved and they had to be

  371. buried quickly. See, fossilization is a

  372. catastrophic process when an animal dies at normally.

  373. Decays is not much left after a while.

  374. How do you form an ichthyosaur fossil in the middle of giving

  375. birth that had to be rather quick or a very long labor or

  376. something? No rather La rather quick.

  377. It had to be covered very, very quickly or fish like this.

  378. This is from our Creation Museum.

  379. When you visit notice, I didn't say if When you will see this

  380. fossil a it's a fish swallowing another fish and he's having his

  381. breakfast and suddenly look what happened to it.

  382. You know when you go to the Grand Canyon and millions of

  383. people each year, go to the Grand Canyon, you read the

  384. signs. It says are over millions of

  385. years. All these layers were laid down

  386. and over millions of years and the Canyon was formed by the

  387. Colorado River eroding at all. And so you'll hear the secular

  388. scientists saying a long time and a little bit of water.

  389. I'm the Grand Canyon. Well, I've got a different view,

  390. a lot of water, and a little bit of time form the Grand Canyon.

  391. What's interesting is, is when Mount Saint Helens erupted on

  392. May 18th 1980. Many people don't realize this,

  393. but as a result of that, eruption hundreds of feet of

  394. sedimentary layers, will lay down layer upon layer upon

  395. layer. That particular layer, in the

  396. middle consists of thousands of individual layers and is 20 feet

  397. thick, but it was laid down in a matter of just a few hours.

  398. He didn't take me. Lindsay is it called Power

  399. clastic Flows. In other words, a lot of those

  400. layers, it's like you know, when you have a blizzard and you can

  401. see all the layers of snow and you get out there, you dig down

  402. through it. Now, normally people would

  403. interpret that, you know, when you're digging down through ice

  404. and getting ice cores and looking all the layers or

  405. mustard, take a millions of years, those sort of things can

  406. happen, very, very quickly, not only that.

  407. But the tool North Fork of the toutle river actually flows

  408. through a canyon And they're now that's all covered in vegetation

  409. again today, that's called Engineers Canyon.

  410. But when it, when it was first formed a Basalt layer in one day

  411. form that Canyon but if you went there today and stood on the

  412. edge of that cliff and looked down at the river down the

  413. bottom there and now with all the vegetation there as well.

  414. You can say how long did the river take to erode the canyon.

  415. Well it wasn't a rotor by a river.

  416. It was a mud flow that eroded the canyon to allow the river to

  417. go through. We would say the same thing

  418. happened at the Grand Canyon for instance, when you look behind

  419. the Can you see evidence? They were once massive lakes and

  420. there are dried up now. We see the evidence of those

  421. Lakes. See the Bible seems to indicate

  422. in Psalm 104 how guide end of the flood raised up the

  423. mountains lower the ocean basins.

  424. See people say there's not enough water to cover the Earth

  425. for the flood. Actually if you smooth out the

  426. Earth totally there's enough water right now.

  427. On the surface of the Earth to cover to a depth of two miles,

  428. we would say, the mountains, weren't as high in the oceans,

  429. weren't as deep Before the Flood.

  430. But what happened at the end of the flood, God raised up the

  431. mountains, lowered the ocean basins, the water pours off into

  432. the oceans where it is today and as it did left all sorts of

  433. erosional features and left over water like these lakes here.

  434. Now then we would say this because the sediment were still

  435. soft and because of fracturing. And so on what happened was that

  436. that the water then broke through the damn it.

  437. Like there's a dam there and carved out the Grand Canyon

  438. catastrophically. What is interesting when you go

  439. Downstream from the grand, Canyon's you see, what are

  440. called surge deposits. Showing you where all that

  441. sediment was deposited. So it wasn't eroded slowly over

  442. millions of years. And, you know, there's many

  443. other evidences are at the Grand Canyon those those Rock layers

  444. as they were lifted up. They actually were bent.

  445. They were bent when they were soft and all the evidence points

  446. to that, they couldn't have been solidified over millions of

  447. years. They would have broken and

  448. Fractured and so on. And so it all fits with what the

  449. Bible says about the global photos Noah's day.

  450. Really was an event that really occurred.

  451. That's why you find fossils all over the Earth and thousands of

  452. feet of sedimentary strata. But of course, a lot of people

  453. believe in millions of years, can can Christians believe in

  454. millions of years. There's a lot of Christians that

  455. believe in millions of years. And I'm not saying they're not a

  456. Christian because of that, but I would say You're really

  457. believing something that man has devised and you're trying to fit

  458. in The Bible you see back in the 1800's, they were atheists.

  459. It said, we want to explain the fossil record without God and

  460. they said, the fossil record had to be laid down slowly over

  461. millions of years, supposedly reflecting Evolution millions of

  462. years before man. And you know what?

  463. We find in the fossil record, we find bones with evidence from

  464. cancer and other diseases. It's a record of death.

  465. You know what the Bible says death came because of our sin.

  466. The Bible tells us that the first man Adam.

  467. And against God. And that's where sin came from.

  468. That's why we die. Everyone is going to die.

  469. There's a, there's a great positive message for you for for

  470. today, and that is, you're going to die.

  471. But you know what? The Bible says, it is appointed

  472. unto man once to die because of our sin, but then the Judgment

  473. but you know, when man sinned, God also said that he had a plan

  474. to save us from our sin and even in Genesis, he tells us about a

  475. prophecy of one to come, who is going to die for our sin to be

  476. raised from the Did the Lord Jesus Christ.

  477. But if you believe in evolution and millions of years, you have

  478. a problem because that means you got all this death before sin.

  479. So it's not our sin that caused the death.

  480. It means you blaming god for death, not only that diseases

  481. like cancer in the fossil record.

  482. After God made man. He said everything you made was

  483. very good. Does God called diseases very

  484. good. Does God.

  485. Call death very good. No the Bible actually says,

  486. death is an enemy, it's an intrusion and one day it's going

  487. to be thrown into the lake of Of fire.

  488. And so, if we believe God's word, then we can't have all

  489. that death before sin, and makes sense that all the fossils had

  490. to come after me and sinned. Oh, the event of the global

  491. flood of Noah's day, that makes sense of the fossils.

  492. But then I have people say to me, well, so you don't believe

  493. in millions of years. No, I believe the universe is

  494. only a few thousand years old. Well, can science confirm that,

  495. well actually, it can see Assigned to say the Earth is 15

  496. billion years old. And the universe of the earth is

  497. 5 billion years old. The universe is 15 billion years

  498. old creation. Scientists.

  499. We say the universe and Earth are about 6,000 years old.

  500. See the Bible records. That God made everything in six

  501. days and it's interesting that the Hebrew word for day, the

  502. word yawm has different meanings, but when is qualified

  503. by evening, morning, number or night, it means an ordinary day.

  504. And in Genesis 1, the word day is qualified that way for each

  505. of the day. Days of creation, which means

  506. they're ordinary days. In fact, think about where our

  507. seven-day week comes from. Why do we have a seven day week,

  508. Exodus 20, verse 11, tells us the basis of the fourth

    Exodus 20:11

  509. Commandment actually. In six days God made everything

  510. and rested on the seventh day. That's why we have a seven-day

  511. week if God made everything in six days.

  512. And on day six, he made the first man Adam.

  513. And you know in the Bible it tells us that Adam had a sunset

  514. at 130 years old, and then South had a son in eyeshadow. 15 and

  515. then Enos father Keenan at 90 and then he had a son at 70 and

  516. it goes through and gives you all these ages Jared fathered,

  517. Enoch 162 and you come down to Methuselah who fathered lehmer

  518. code 187, who fathered Noah at 182 that we get to ham Shem and

  519. japheth when Noah was 500, we get to Abraham, we get to the

  520. Babe in a Manger. Jesus Christ coming up to the

  521. present. All those dates, add up to 0.

  522. Eighty-six thousand years. And so that's why we believe in

  523. only thousands of years and there's nothing in observational

  524. science that contradicts that because a lot of people point to

  525. the dating methods that are used.

  526. You know, the geological dating methods radiometric, dating

  527. methods, not the dating methods with young people use, you know,

  528. I'm talking about these sorts of dating methods but to help

  529. everyone understand every dating method involves a process that

  530. changes with time and you have to know what was there.

  531. Beginning and understand all those changes and problem is all

  532. those assumptions can be shown to be invalid.

  533. Give me an example in Australia, there was a Basalt layer and

  534. scientists discovered this Basalt layer actually mining

  535. Engineers. So it was like a lava flow and

  536. they found trees embedded in the lava flow.

  537. So the lava flow flowed over the forest.

  538. And when they dated the basalt using radiometric dating method

  539. data, 45 million years old, but the wood through carbon dating

  540. data. To 45,000 years old, 45 thousand

  541. Euro would in 45 million year old.

  542. Basalt doesn't make any sense, because there's all sorts of

  543. problems. We don't have time to talk about

  544. them. There's all sorts of

  545. assumptions. There's only one dating method

  546. that can be trusted. It's God's daily method is

  547. survival because he was there, he knows everything and we've

  548. got that recorded history in his word.

  549. Even when you look at Mount Saint Helens, we mentioned that

  550. before where mounts on Was rough to do nine and nineteen eighty,

  551. then in 1994, the lava Dome was sampled because what happened?

  552. After the volcanic eruption, a lava Dome started to form in the

  553. 80s to seal up that volcanic core there and so there was a

  554. scientist Who sampled the lava Dome.

  555. Now we know it was formed in 1980 so we know that that rock

  556. was formed in 1980 and they actually use potassium-argon

  557. dating by grinding up the Whole Rock and on other minerals and

  558. using those dating methods and look what they got point. 35

  559. million years point nine million years, 2.8 million years but

  560. wait a minute, we not formed in 1980 and we know that those

  561. daily methods have problem because potassium argon is a

  562. radiometric dating method. And what happened was Argon came

  563. up in the magma already. They're making it look old when

  564. it wasn't. And that just shows you the

  565. problems we have with a lot. Of these dating methods.

  566. Of course, I could go through a lot of other examples like that

  567. as well, but let's answer one more question here.

  568. Just science, confirm one human race.

  569. See if the Bible's history is true and we have the six

  570. thousand years of History. Then God made the first two

  571. people, Adam and Eve on day, six of those creation days and it

  572. says in Genesis 5 verse 4 they had Sons and Daughters, right?

    Genesis 5:4

  573. They didn't ingest have three sons sons and daughters and then

  574. By the time of the flood, they could have been millions of

  575. people but only eight, trusted God, Noah and his family God

  576. said the world was so wicked that he judged with his going to

  577. judge with a global flood. And for Noah to build a great

  578. big ship and only eight people went on that ship and the kinds

  579. of the land animals went on board and we already talked

  580. about that earlier then they came off the ship and as people

  581. increased in number, they rebelled against God again about

  582. 150 years later. And God gave different languages

  583. to force them to split up and move away from each other.

  584. Forming different people groups not races.

  585. Do you realize if the Bible's history is true, here there's

  586. only one human race. There are many different races

  587. and we shouldn't be talking about races.

  588. What's interesting is in the year 2000, the human genome

  589. Genome Project where it was headed by an atheist octave

  590. enter, where they went around the world and obtain DNA from

  591. All these different people, groups to sequence, the human

  592. genome, the human DNA, and they release their findings to the

  593. world in the year. 2000. You're not.

  594. They said they put together. This is from The New York Times,

  595. graft of the entire sequence of the human genome and unanimously

  596. declared. There is only one race the human

  597. race. Wow, who would have ever thought

  598. of that? But there's science confirming

  599. exactly what you'd expect based on the Bible.

  600. There's only one human race. See when Noah and his family

  601. came off the arc. During the eight people that

  602. came off the Earth and Noah's, three sons and three wives, and

  603. knowing his wife and says in Genesis 9, the sons of Noah who

  604. went forth from the ark Shem ham and japheth these three were the

  605. sons of known from these that people on the whole earth were

  606. dispersed. So the Bible tells us that we

  607. all go back to the three sons of Noah, there was the event of the

  608. Tower of Babel causing people to split up and move away from each

  609. other going to different places. And resulting in different

  610. ethnic groups and and depending on who married who died out

  611. depending on what combinations of genes survived in particular

  612. groups. You end up with certain

  613. characteristics, dominating the different groups and so we have

  614. different people groups but not different races were all one

  615. family, we're all One race. You know why that's important to

  616. understand? Because God Son stepped into

  617. history, to be a member of the one human race to die for the

  618. descendants of Adam because All One race.

  619. We're all one family, and he died on a cross because death

  620. was a penalty for sin. He was perfect.

  621. We're all descendants of Adam and we're not.

  622. We're Sinners. So a sinner can't pay for sin.

  623. Death was a penalty for sin, but he died on a cross was raised

  624. from the dead. So all those who put their faith

  625. and trust in him will spend eternity with him and I don't

  626. have time to go into this in detail, but the Bible History is

  627. true. And so then people have trouble

  628. explaining Well, how do you, how do you get black people, and how

  629. do you get white people? That's a whole nother area to

  630. talk about, but actually, there are no black people in.

  631. There are no white people and I can prove it to you because

  632. people think I'm a white person, but hey, in less than a second

  633. there. I proved, I'm not a white

  634. person, right? We actually all have the same

  635. pigment called melanin. It's a brown pigment.

  636. We're all actually Brown, and it's just a matter of your

  637. genetics as to how much Brown you have a little bit or a lot.

  638. And as people were sorted out up the terror, Abel some ended up

  639. with a lot of mountain and some not so much.

  640. And so it's easy to understand, hey, you know, what's exciting?

  641. Whether it's biology, anthropology, geology,

  642. biochemistry over and over again, it confirms God's word

  643. because God's word is true, the history.

  644. And the Bible is true. And why does it matter?

  645. Because what you believe about where you came from, affects

  646. your whole world view, do you realize because Genesis is True.

  647. We know what we believe and why is Christian's the doctrine of

  648. marriage is based in Genesis not just marriage but every single

  649. biblical Doctrine and theology directly or indirectly is

  650. founded in Genesis 12, 11 Genesis is the foundational book

  651. of the entire Bible and you see here's the problem in our world.

  652. When you start from God's word, we know there's one race for

  653. man's word, different races. Supposedly evolved God's word.

  654. Marriage is a man and woman. Man's word, you define Anyway,

  655. you want God's word to genders male and female man's word.

  656. Well, do whatever you want. Defined it the way you want,

  657. man. God's word abortion, where made

  658. in the image of God, right? From fertilization abortion is

  659. killing a human being man's word.

  660. We're just animals, it doesn't matter.

  661. Get rid of spare cats, get rid of spare kids and we're seeing

  662. today, the collapse of Christian morality and increasing moral

  663. relativism because we're seeing Generations who have been

  664. indoctrinated to believe that science disproves the Bible, the

  665. Bible is not true but the Bible is true.

  666. It's God's word is history as true.

  667. And that's why the message of Christianity based in that

  668. history is true just very quickly our Answers in Genesis

  669. Ministry provides lots of answers.

  670. We do that in the books and we have some special Books

  671. available for you, actually, a special prices divided nation is

  672. one of my latest books dealing with what's happening in the

  673. culture and the fat, and the foundational importance of the

  674. Book of Genesis, and how we need to understand that creation.

  675. Bible is a commentary on Genesis. 12 11 answering.

  676. All the most asked questions I've been asked in 40 years,

  677. very easy to understand, it's for the whole family, and then

  678. new answers book 125 of the most asked questions people have

  679. today. It's a series of books actually,

  680. but this is number one to defend the Christian faith.

  681. Where decaying get his wife? What about carbon dating?

  682. How did Noah get the animals on the ark?

  683. Having those are God and so on, and then One, race one blood.

  684. I'm African-American fend. Actually authored that and will

  685. they stand? It's About the family because

  686. the family is the unit God uses to impact the world and to

  687. transfer a spiritual Legacy to subsequent generations.

  688. And we have the cream of the crop of our apologetics books at

  689. a special price for you. Also the cream of the crop of

  690. apologetics books for kids and you can get them in one Library

  691. as well at a very special place. And so, as we leave all this, I

  692. want you to think about this. You know, the message I really

  693. given you and we've only just Glanced at things very quickly.

  694. The history in the Bible is true.

  695. That's why the message of the Gospel based in that history is

  696. true. And it is true.

  697. And that's the most important message of all that I trust that

  698. everyone here has responded to to know where you're going to

  699. spend eternity. And so now we're going to move

  700. to a decision time. Everybody still good.

  701. Take a deep breath, I love it. I mean there's just so much just

  702. good teaching in there for some of you that might be the first

  703. time. You kind of heard that just and

  704. detail. And I know just him like

  705. Wednesday night he was here and he went a little bit on greater

  706. lengths and spend a lot more time, divulging some of those

  707. things. And that was like, he couldn't,

  708. he couldn't stop talking. Like he just had to keep going

  709. because he has so much good stuff to say.

  710. But what we're about to come into in this time of decision is

  711. what I love every single week. We opportunity to just consider

  712. the things that we just heard and start figuring out and

  713. reflecting on what areas in our life.

  714. Do we need to adjust what areas in our life.

  715. Do we need to surrender over to the Lord?

  716. That's what this time is all about.

  717. And so, for those of you in this room or maybe you're watching

  718. online right now, you don't have a relationship with Jesus.

  719. You don't have one that's intimate.

  720. You don't have one that's personal.

  721. We're not talking about religion, we're talking about a

  722. relationship. Maybe there was something today

  723. that you heard and Ken's message, that may just really

  724. helped confirm your faith or maybe it brought some clarity to

  725. your faith today. Maybe when you walked in this

  726. room or when you came into this message online, you started

  727. wondering like, hey and is the Bible true.

  728. Is it reliable? Can I can I count on it and

  729. today you heard the claims and what God's word says about

  730. itself? But also with what Ken was

  731. talking about that your foundation, our foundation, my

  732. Foundation should be built on his word, which never fails,

  733. which hasn't been proven false like it's everything science.

  734. Cannot prove it to be false. Like it's true.

  735. It's the foundation it goes against what, what man's word

  736. says. And what Culture even says.

  737. And so here's what the truth is, is that every single one of you

  738. listening to my voice right now, you were made in the image of

  739. God. Every single one of you.

  740. And if we know if God's word is true, not only are we made in

  741. the image of God, God's desire is that he has relationship with

  742. each and every single one of us. But we know because of Adam and

  743. Eve, and because of the sin that came into this world, we are so,

  744. we were separating that moment. But Jesus made a way God sent

  745. Jesus, his son to come in our likeness down to this earth, and

  746. he lived a perfect life, and it led him to a cross even though

  747. he didn't Deserve it. He paid the penalty of your sin

  748. and my sin when he went on the cross.

  749. And he was crucified and three days later after he's put in a

  750. borrowed tomb, he rose from the dead, which is what we

  751. celebrated last Easter, which we celebrate every single day, and

  752. every single week here at this church, he did that to rescue

  753. you. He did that to redeem you to

  754. bring yourself into relationship with him.

  755. And so, if you are in that position today, in this moment

  756. right now, were you You want to start that relationship one?

  757. That is intimate, one, that is personal.

  758. You can do it in a moment. That's what I love about God.

  759. We, you know, think we might have to get all this stuff

  760. together. We have to get it all figured

  761. out and what he says is knowing you believed in me when you

  762. believe in Jesus when you know that he's the way and the truth

  763. and the life, you can enter in that relationship right now in

  764. this moment. And really if you look down your

  765. Isles, around your rows of people behind you in front of

  766. you, wherever it may be There are so many stories represented

  767. right here at this Campus of people who have met Jesus their

  768. lord and savior their life and it's completely changed their

  769. life. And they're not going to be

  770. people who say hey I have it all figured out, I'm all put

  771. together because listen I'm not all put together.

  772. I'm not I don't have it all figured out but here's what we

  773. all share, those of us who have relationship with Jesus.

  774. We would say we know the one who holds it all together.

  775. The one who Created us in His image, the one who rescued and

  776. redeemed us. And so for those of you in this

  777. room, if you want to step in that relationship, you can do it

  778. in a moment. There's gonna be somebody right

  779. by the baptistry, that would help you take that step of faith

  780. today, whether it's just exploring what it looks like the

  781. start relationship with Jesus or whether it's like man, I'm

  782. diving in. I'm going to get in the

  783. baptistry today and I'm going to identify with Jesus, death,

  784. burial and Resurrection. I'm going to come out of the

  785. water and I'm going to be made new because that is what God

  786. does through. And I'm encouraging you, if you

  787. don't have that relationship, that's the very best thing you

  788. can do today and for the rest of us in this room for all of us

  789. who have claimed that truth, who are walking in relationship with

  790. Jesus. For those of you who are

  791. following him, I know that maybe this message for you is maybe

  792. just more confirming for you is encouraging.

  793. Maybe right now you have an opportunity to decide to though.

  794. Because as Christians we have this decision time for us as

  795. well because when In God's word is preached.

  796. We have to respond to it. There's not a let's just read it

  797. and then let's just walk out and we got it.

  798. No, James is very clear. When we look at God's word, we

  799. listen to God's word. We should be changed.

  800. We should be doers of God's word and so for you you might be

  801. having your own conversation with God right now and I'm just

  802. getting in the way and just a little bit.

  803. Maybe you just want to continue that conversation with him on

  804. the steps, getting on your knees and letting him just continue to

  805. talk to you and press on your Convict you and change you

  806. because he's doing that work right now.

  807. You can have that conversation with him but I also know there's

  808. people in this room you heard today's message in one of the

  809. things that might be hitting you is there's people in your life.

  810. You have conflict with people in your life, you having troubles

  811. with and you just need a simple reminder that they also were

  812. made in the image of God and that God desires to be in

  813. relationship with them. And so as Christians, one of the

  814. coolest of things but also I get it.

  815. I'm not going to discount it. One of the hardest things is to

  816. come up here and pray for them by name that they would

  817. encounter Jesus. That they would have a radical

  818. change in their life because of what God's word says and they

  819. would start following him. And so in this moment I'm asking

  820. as Christians would you be bold enough to pray for that person

  821. or that group of people? But I know for me, here's where

  822. I was at. I was Watching this message.

  823. And I just kept thinking, how can I be a better?

  824. Dad. How can I continue to lead?

  825. My kids to understand that God's word is the foundation that the

  826. world is going to speak to them pretty loudly.

  827. Cultures going to speak to them and attack them, pretty, pretty

  828. fiercely. But how can I step in the gaps

  829. for them and let them know that my life is built on Christ and

  830. his word and so I'm like I want to die.

  831. I just want to go to battle. I want to keep praying.

  832. God, would you help Empower me to be the dad for my kids to

  833. continue to pray for the generations that are coming

  834. behind us and the generations that are to come and maybe

  835. you're in the same boat? You have kids, you have

  836. grandkids, you have nieces you have nephews, you have kids in

  837. your life. But let's just go to battle for

  838. them and just pray for them and say, listen, we want God's word

  839. to be the foundation of their life, not man's word, not what

  840. culture says. And so, In This Moment, It for

  841. us. Let us just be a decision time

  842. where we move because we all make decisions.

  843. Some of us decide. We could just stay here and we

  844. could leave and go out the same people or we could step in the

  845. gaps. We could draw closer to Jesus in

  846. this moment and we could ask him to lead us this week.

  847. What you guys do that in this moment?

  848. Would you stand with me? Would you pray with me as we go

  849. into this moment of decision, God right now, I lift up every

  850. single Person in this room those who are watching online, God,

  851. the way they, I love how when you're a personal God, you

  852. personally interact with each of us, which means you don't talk

  853. to us the same. We don't get the same message,

  854. necessarily got every single person could get a different

  855. message the way that you're speaking them.

  856. Holy Spirit, would you just continue to move?

  857. And God, I pray that when we hear you and we receive a word

  858. God that we are changed and that we move towards that, that we

  859. put feet and legs through our action.

  860. God that Just continue to just impress Upon Our Hearts and our

  861. minds, what we should do. As followers of you, I pray for

  862. that person or the group of people who are men just, they're

  863. trying to do things on their own, they're trying to do life

  864. on their own strength. God, I pray that today as they

  865. here, just your Good News, your gospel, your word being

  866. preached, that it is the Firm Foundation.

  867. God, I pray that you will just give them the boldness to

  868. respond to you today. That they would just feel the

  869. weights fall off of them as they They decide that they're going

  870. to trust you Jesus what an incredible name?

  871. What a beautiful name? What a powerful name and that is

  872. the name that is above every other name and we worship you

  873. right now, in this moment in Jesus name.

  874. Amen. They decide that they're going

  875. to trust you Jesus what an incredible name?

  876. What a beautiful name? What a powerful name and that is

  877. the name that is above every other name and we worship you

  878. right now, in this moment in Jesus name.

  879. Amen.
