  1. What a God, What a wonderful, wonderful God. So could I say

  2. that I'm so thankful that God has blessed this wonderful, fantastic church. Was

  3. such a mighty man of God. The boy that I get to know,

  4. brother, how the lore that I like him. But more than that,

  5. the more that I respected and all I was so moved and blessed this morning

  6. to hear he still has a vision for this church. Come on, now,

  7. I can introduce you to at least a hundred young man that I know

  8. of that would love the pastor and not ask anything more out of it.

  9. Looks good around here. But I'm glad that God has blessed you with the

  10. pastor that has a vision. Amen, hear what he would love to see

  11. happen here? Amen? He God, Thank God. Well, as we

  12. get ready to sing, let me okay, if I ask you, everybody

  13. in the building, would you just point your hand toward the pastor and ask

  14. the Lord to send him a fresh anointing, a fresh burden, and a

  15. fresh love for this wonderful church. Ye Now, if you have trouble,

  16. everything's gone wrong, don't give up your battle. They can't laugh very long.

  17. Don't ever doubt, Jesus, just be the bringing ye Lord, answer

  18. love and he will he will be when on your home is Sometimes what would

  19. you made it so long? My yours? Just remember he chair hold she

  20. answer right and he won't. Sometimes in the battle and the soul was pain

  21. your gas a recess so long? So hold times, but weren't you way

  22. so long? Serious? Just be hares souls? And other times stalk all

  23. talk about it can't close to down your child it all Sometimes time would you

  24. want so sometimes to about this tone much pay like reasons? Sometimes you wor

  25. soho, Jesus, I'm so thankful to the Lord is always there in no

  26. metter, wing through what the time on my phone, our path. We

  27. can always depend on the Lord to be right there. And how I'm so

  28. thankful for how God is moved this morning and so far tonight. I'm looking

  29. forward to a great revival. And you know it's it's we mean healing too,

  30. So we're kind of joining in with this to service. And I know

  31. I know without a doubt that God is still on the throne and still still

  32. is in business. There's an old sofa hold as to see God is still

  33. in business. And I'm so thankful for that. And um, I you

  34. know, brothers, that's testimony doesn't get um doesn't get old to me.

  35. I We go to a lot of places and and they want them to tell

  36. us testimony and preach those messages. And you know, sometimes I think people

  37. might, you know, think, well, she must get tired of hearing

  38. that. But what I want to say is that's what He done for me.

  39. That's set's miracles, that prayers answered, that He done for me.

  40. And I'm so thankful that I can look back and no, like God insert

  41. my prayers, that he was there for me. It wasn't just something that

  42. I've always heard about. There wasn't something that I mean I heard in my

  43. whole life. My mom was given three weeks to live with cancer, and

  44. that's been a lot of years ago, and she still went this God because

  45. I've heard of those saints my entire life. But it came down to a

  46. point I had to believe it and stand on it for myself. I couldn't

  47. rely on my dad's testimony. I couldn't rely on this faith. I had

  48. to have faith for my family myself. And I'm so thankful that God broke

  49. himself again and it's continued to do it over and over and over again,

  50. and I believe I can't remember. It was a pastor where the room kept

  51. back home said something to me about the specific in our prayers, and uh,

  52. it took my mind back whenever the Sunday before brother Doug had his car

  53. wreck, it was a Sunday morning we had a baby dedication of a family

  54. that they it wasn't supposed to have any more children. He had ended up

  55. getting malaria. He was a missionary, and and then medication. The doctor's

  56. total saw, you know, you're not gonna be able to have any more

  57. children, and the Lord gave him a baby girl. And so we were

  58. having that dedication, and I mean, the spirit of Lord was so sweet,

  59. and whenever the service was going on in a baby dedication, the Lord

  60. moved and the Holy Ghost spoke and tons of interpretation, and I remember what

  61. the Holy Ghost said. He said, you need to praise me for what

  62. I've done for you. And you know, I came up to the altar

  63. and I had a sincere conversation with the Lord because I remember saying, Lord,

  64. I'm so thankful for what I've seen you do for the this couple in

  65. our church. I'm so thankful. I've heard my whole life how that you

  66. healed my dad and my mom with cancer. And when I was a baby,

  67. I was diagnosed with leukemia and the Lord healed me at that and I've

  68. heard about that. I don't remember it. I was just a baby,

  69. and I was telling the Lord all of these things that I had heard about,

  70. and I got to the point where I said, and I said to

  71. the Lord, but Lord, I would love to see a miracle for myself

  72. that I know without a doubt it's gonna be heal. And it was the

  73. next day. And I'm not saying that, you know, that was the

  74. only reason that the Lord like that wreck happened. But what I'm saying is

  75. that from then on, I have been very much more specific when I prayed.

  76. You know, I prayed later with my kids were older, Lord,

  77. I want them to see a miracle, so please heal some woman a revival

  78. that's already said. I was very I'm very specific when I prayed. And

  79. because God answers prayers, and it took a lot from me that it took

  80. me that for me to understand that God does answer our prayers. And I

  81. want to be very specific, Um, what I pray, And I'm so

  82. thankful that I know that he's still answers prayers. He's still on the throne,

  83. and I love him tonight praised out of hearing my wife say that,

  84. Um, you want to turn with me to the Book of Second Corinthians,

  85. tell that little bit years ago. I haven't heard her tell that all time.

  86. I've heard it once or twice, and I forgot to blame her for

  87. lash. You minded me the Book of Second Corinthians. The very first chapter

  88. Paul is writing a letter to the Church of corinth and something that gets my

  89. attentions and I In the very first chapter of Second Corinthians, first number seven,

  90. Paul says, and our hope with you is steadfast, knowing that as

  91. you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye also of the consolation.

  92. For we would not, brethren, have you ignorance of our trouble which came

  93. to us in Asia. That we were pressed out of measure above strength,

  94. and so much that we despaired even of life, that we despaired even of

  95. life. Lord, I thank you so much, Lord, from pastor how

  96. this wonderful congregation, thank you Lord for the opportunity to stand behind the holy

  97. desk again and preach the truth. Oh, I plead Lord that you would

  98. give me the words to say the Holy Gods and morning to say it with

  99. not my will, but I will be tough. And the name of Jesus.

  100. I thank you Lord, meet us in the altars tonight. God,

  101. Oh Jesus, I thank you Lord, as you did this morning for the

  102. lady. I pray Lord you would meet every individual here in the altar tonight.

  103. Lord, Oh, with healing, with encouragement, with hope, Oh,

  104. with the joy the Lord and the name of Jesus. I prayed,

  105. hold and the church to eight men. Godluiah, you may be seated.

  106. I told you this morning and the story of how that I was pronounced d

  107. Oa, and how that they had already written up my death certificate. The

  108. doctor had already signed it. The state police had already come to my wife's

  109. where she was at, to the house, and so forth. But I'm

  110. so glad that it wasn't over, because Jesus's will was that I would get

  111. to come to somewhere in South Florida. Tell the folks in the mill that

  112. Jesus is still in control. A man, I understand that whenever I was

  113. alive, I was put in intensive care, and those days would turn two

  114. weeks, and those weeks would turn two months. And while I was in

  115. intensive care, my wife and my other old ones they went through something great

  116. there. But oh they prayed so much, because time and time again they

  117. would explain to my wife, it was just great, how that your husband

  118. has come through this far, and and how that you know we thought he

  119. was gone. Well, I mean we know, you know, the doctor

  120. even confirmed it and signed the desertificate, and he's alive and he's really been

  121. so tough for us. But they told her this several times, this is

  122. the last night. He won't pull through until morning. Time and time and

  123. time again, Oh my pride. Different ones in the family would spend the

  124. night praying and crying, and time and time again, God moved. God

  125. moved time and time. Hi again, Thank you, Jesus, Thank you

  126. Jesus. I believe the Lord told us that wonderful story of the man that

  127. came knocking and whenever his neighbor didn't answer him, you know what he did,

  128. But that neighbor didn't answer him, so you know what he did?

  129. Oh, my friend, don't quit praying about it. Don't quit praying about

  130. it. You might have been anointed and prayed for for that before, but

  131. I say, that's annoint you and pray for you again. You might have

  132. knelt down and said those very words before and prayed for that person, prayed

  133. for your issue, your situation before. That's all right, Let's keep all

  134. knocking, let's keep wrong knocking. Let's go back until we know that God

  135. has moved. Let's keep on coming. Man, hey man, and then

  136. the only difference is we'll come back with praise and thanksgiving. Hollo yah,

  137. We'll howeyah, how you will. The time came after being there in the

  138. hospital for some time. That's the insurance company got involved and contacted the hospital

  139. that because of the other gentleman hit me, you know, and it was

  140. several days he was on the job, and so there was several different insurance

  141. companies involved, and they were saying, if he's not going to get any

  142. better, but he's not at the point of life and death now, then

  143. he doesn't need to be in the hospital. And so the doctors met with

  144. my wife and my dad and they explained to them that I had injuries that

  145. would never be any better. You have a nerve that goes from each eye,

  146. and then they joined together for one optical nerve that attaches to the brain.

  147. Right where they joined together, mine was severed, held on by the

  148. thickness of a harem. I was ninety something percent blind, and they explained

  149. that I would be for the rest of my life. That because of where

  150. that it was severed, there was no way for them to do any searching,

  151. and there's no medicine or therapy for that I would have to I would

  152. be blind for the rest of my life. They explained that because of my

  153. head went into the steering wheel, that I had much brain damage on the

  154. right side, and therefore, because of all the brain damage on the right

  155. side, my left side was mostly paralyzed, completely useless. I would be

  156. wheelchair bounds and there was nothing they could do about that. They would certainly

  157. try therapy and try to give me to overcome as much as I could,

  158. but that I would be crippled the rest of my life. They explained that

  159. when my head went into the steering wheels, that my bottom jaw from this

  160. joint all the way around to the other joint was crushed broken and crushed.

  161. And I've seen the X rays and so forth them, and and I think

  162. I would be safe easily to say it was in a hundred pieces. It

  163. was just crushed. And the best that they could do is they had taken

  164. the bones and done their best to get them all back in order as well

  165. as they could. And then they took mental wiring up in my upper gum

  166. round the teeth, and down in my lower gun around the teeth and up

  167. in and sewed my mouth together shuts with metal wires and explain that it would

  168. have to stay that way, with the hopes that with time those bones would

  169. grow back together, but there was no guarantee that they would, and hopefully

  170. they would find some other way to solve that problem. But my mouth was

  171. wired shut at that time. But I understand that I wasn't at life and

  172. death anymore. I'd been in intensive care and then what they called the step

  173. down unit for some time now, and so they told my wife and my

  174. dad that they felt that it would be best for me to be transported by

  175. an ambulance to a local nursing home. And so I was put into a

  176. nursing home, taken by an ambulance to the nursing home in Metropolis, Illinois,

  177. for what they assumed would be for the rest of my life. WHOA,

  178. my friends, they're in that nursing home. They had hours of visitation,

  179. And I'm so thankful that, as far as I know, everybody at

  180. the church that I pastored, everyone that could that was able, they came

  181. to the nursing home to pray for me and see me and be kind to

  182. my wife and my children and so forth. Our children were two and four

  183. at the time. I understand that so many good preachers and friends and folks

  184. from other places and churches came and visited me and prayed with me. What

  185. I don't have real clear memory of every day being in the nursing home,

  186. but the Lord has allowed me to remember a few things and a few feelings

  187. that I would and to be cardinal. Sometimes I wish I couldn't I show

  188. you, find something else to preach, y'all, but I feel like it's

  189. God's able to share it with you. I understand that as I would sit

  190. there and everybody would leave, my wife would stay with me. And one

  191. particular night, I remember sitting in my wheelchair in that room, and my

  192. wife had went out, and when it came time that the visitors had to

  193. leave, she went to walk them out, you know, to the parking

  194. lot or whatever, you know. And and so she was gone. So

  195. I was there by myself, and I was just sitting there crying and thinking,

  196. well, you know, thank God him alive. But so look at

  197. me. I'm blind, I'm paralyzed, I can't talk, I can't walk,

  198. I can't see, and a miserable Meanwhile, understanding the devil was out

  199. in front of me, and he was digging a pit, a pit of

  200. despair. Now, I don't know if whenever King James's men translated the Greek

  201. into English, if depression was not a word at that point, or if

  202. God hates the whole ideal of what man has made depression into that he chose

  203. not to put it in the word. But at this time, the word

  204. that the Holy Ghost chose for the Bible is despair. Today, you and

  205. I are very much more familiar with the word of depression, my friend.

  206. Depression has became a multide billion dollar industry. There's a whole lot of people

  207. that have been told they are depressed that didn't depressed. It's just a way

  208. for that doctor to tect them to come back, the way for that pharmacist

  209. to fill another prescription, the way for that company to make another bottle of

  210. medicine. It's just everybody makes money. Everybody profits all of that person with

  211. depression, except for that person with depression. Come on, I'm gonna tell

  212. you, my friends, every bottle that has been produced and every prescription that

  213. has been filled, that bottle runs out, good, and you're right back

  214. where you started, my friend. Even though the prescription calls for the spinning

  215. pills and this many spoonfuls and whatever that the nerve medicine and the anti depressence

  216. and all the different painkillers that people were taking because they have found themselves depressed.

  217. That runs out, yea, And nothing is any nothing is any better.

  218. Oh, my friends, I remember sitting there that particular nights. I

  219. was definitely had fallen into that pit of despair. I was definitely battling great

  220. depression. Ooh. And when I was there that night by myself, oh,

  221. I got a visitor, a visitor that I had never seen before with

  222. these eyes, a visitor that came all the way from heaven. Someone asked

  223. me, did you believe that you got to see Jesus or wasn't an angel.

  224. I don't know. I don't know. I just know I got a

  225. pristen with that an. Now I understand that. I know it was in

  226. the Bible long before I was ever born, but long before you was ever

  227. born. And I know I had read it, but I certainly did not

  228. know it. My heart did. But the last words and that tax collector

  229. that found God day Matthew, the last words that he quoted Jesus as saying

  230. was low, I am with you alway, even to the ends of the

  231. world. Oh Jesus, my friends, they're in that dark room, sitting

  232. in my wheelchair in pain. As I looked and thought about all of the

  233. things that was wrong with me, and the devil was working so quickly and

  234. so hard. Oh, as I just seemed to be going deeper and deeper

  235. and deeper. The way that I felt was why in the world. There's

  236. all my family, my friends, these preachers, they come in here,

  237. and they say the prayers, they say nice things to me. Oh most

  238. of them even breached down and hug my neck, and then they would leave

  239. me and then leave me just in this chair, sitting in this hole.

  240. Why they love me well, they help me understand. I understand they all

  241. that that was much breaking damage. And I wasn't thinking logically. I know

  242. that, but that's all right because I don't serve a god that works with

  243. watching. And as I was crying and wishing so bad that somebody would just

  244. care, the Holy Spirit king. Was it Jesus himself or was it an

  245. angel? I don't know, but oh, I know that I heard the

  246. words low, I am with you, oh easily, unto the ends of

  247. the world. Oh, thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus. I have

  248. come with good news tonight, my friend. I want you to know that

  249. though you may feel like you have fallen the pit of despirit, though that

  250. you may feel like you have fallen into depression. Because let me make sure

  251. that I make something clear here. I knew absolutely nothing about depression. I

  252. knew nothing about anything but smiling and laughing and enjoying the life. I remember

  253. playing backyard football in the church's side of the next of the church there.

  254. Sam Holland, that's who did it. If you want to write that down.

  255. Sam Holland did it. He separated my shoulder and that was bad pain.

  256. But I knew nothing about depression. Now I understand depression is real.

  257. Come on here, but here is where the doctors and the pharmaceuticals. Here's

  258. where everything is messed up. Whenever I had that separated shoulder, they done

  259. this crazy thing. So it's gonna hurt, boy, did it? They

  260. put my shoulder back into place. Ward happy mercy, have a little bit

  261. of at ease with me. Here. They got my shoulder back in the

  262. place, and they put my arm in a slaying you know. So I

  263. went moving everything and I had to wait for the grow back again and reconnect

  264. and all that and so helping. This is true on real windy days like

  265. you have in South Florida, I can feel wind going through my shoulder.

  266. That's the truth. So I guess somewhere in there is still separating but understanding.

  267. I knew nothing about depression. I believe that was the Lord's decision.

  268. Now, the devil had a plan. The devil has a plan for you.

  269. Come on here here. It was a devil's plan that they're in the

  270. nursing home. I would get so discouraged and so under so much despairer and

  271. fall into something that is very real called depression. And I would give up,

  272. and I would get bitter, and I would just quick praying. Oh

  273. that's the devil's plan. Come on here, vote. Oh, I have

  274. come with good news for you to night right on time. Every time the

  275. Holy Ghost comes a man, the Lord knows how much that you can bear,

  276. and he has promised you that he would give you a way to escape.

  277. Oh, you don't have to fall, you don't have to just quit

  278. and give up. Just keep on praying. Let's everybody pray about it again.

  279. Or would you rich around and take somebody by the hand right now,

  280. everybody finds somebody and take them by the hand. Right now, Go ahead,

  281. find somebody taken by the hand. All right now, I want you

  282. to pray for that person. You have their hand. Maybe you have to

  283. pray right now, repute depression away from them. Pray that the Holy Ghost,

  284. the sweet peace of God, all the presence of the Lord would come

  285. to them and rescue them. And come to them right now. Come on

  286. and pray, pray, pray, pray. Holleo yah, halleluya, halleluyah,

  287. holle thank you Jesus than hollo hollo. The Book of Philippians, chapter

  288. number four yea verse number seven Paul Rhodes, and the Peace of God,

  289. which passive, oh understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds. And wait

  290. a minute, through Christ Jesus, look and make sure I have a King

  291. James version, which is a total disgusting lie is printed on our bibles.

  292. This is not the version. This is a translation. By the definition of

  293. version, it is a type of the original. This is the original.

  294. Amen, this is not a version. Come on in I be and all

  295. of the twenty s uth and other ones, they are versions. This is

  296. not a version. The King James translation says, and the Peace of God,

  297. which passeth all understandings, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jeeus,

  298. my friend, when the Lord heals you, he always heals you.

  299. Right hey, Then if the Lord tonight causes you to be able to walk

  300. again as he did me, I don't believe. I'm one percent sure that

  301. tomorrow I'm not gonna go WHOA paralyzed again? That isn't gonna happen. But

  302. I understand. Depression is not a physical injury. The doctors are giving you

  303. medicine for something that medicine can't sulve. Come on, if you have a

  304. headache, take some titling a cheat and takes some tileent on pehim and fall

  305. asleep. Don't tell youbody, I told you that. Here's my point.

  306. Friends, but whenever you're fighting depression, fighting despair, you are in a

  307. spiritual battle. Even though we may just throw our way of talking. We

  308. may use the word healed, but understand, it's not a healing. It

  309. is that the Lord is fighting that battle for you. It is that God

  310. is coming through your rescue in a battle. Amen, Oh, my friend,

  311. you are in a battle if you are fighting despair and you are fighting

  312. depression, or can I tell you that I have no doubt about it.

  313. The Lord won that battle for me. And all of a sudden, when

  314. that angel came in that room, Oh, I felt the presence of God

  315. so greatly. Amen. With time, the Lord gave my wife a gift

  316. greater than I even have the words to describe to you, a gift of

  317. faith. We have all been given a measure of faith. And how much

  318. is that measure of faith? I don't have a measuring cup to measure it

  319. for you and tell you exactly how much faith you have. But I can't

  320. tell you that God has given you a measure of faith, a faith that

  321. is so much don't fay way to give me much? Oh, yes,

  322. he did. He gave you so much faith that you believe that the only

  323. begotten Son of God left heaven and came down as a baby, grew up

  324. on this earth and ended up doing all kinds of miracles, even walking on

  325. water. All the great things that Jesus did while they walked on this earth.

  326. And then he was crucified, shed his blood, was pierced in the

  327. side, dropped his head and said in his face. And then three days

  328. later, with the soldiers standing there, the angels rolled back the stones,

  329. got rid of the soldiers, and Jesus Christ came walking out of the two

  330. And even believe that do you believe that? Really have it? Your measure

  331. of faith is quite a bit of faith. Amen, Come on here now

  332. God has given you faith. My friend. Well, the Lord blessed my

  333. wife with a measure of faith. And I believe that during this time it

  334. has proved to me that the Lord will give you just what you need when

  335. you need it. You know, um, I always loved playing ball,

  336. and you look like somebody that has found me. And one of my great

  337. crazy looking shots. You know they're not playing. I just deserbly throw it

  338. up there. You know, you know you found me, did too.

  339. Well. Now here's a thing, you see I can argue with him about.

  340. You know that that I really believe you found me. And whether I

  341. win or not, But understand, my friend, that whenever the Lord gives

  342. you faith, when the Lord gives you something so deep and so wonderful that

  343. you can believe it with everything you've got, come on now. And so

  344. the Lord gave Missy so much faith that the brother and sister Webster. I

  345. don't know if you all know Kevin Teresa Webster, the pastor's hron post Oklahoma,

  346. and you all know them by any chance, But anyway, they they're

  347. friends of ours, and they came to visit us, and they came to

  348. the nursing home with my wife that day, and she went into where the

  349. administs, you know, the administration of the nursing home was, and explained

  350. to them, I've come today to sign Doug out of the nursing home.

  351. Well, the doctors was one hundred percent against that. The nursing home administration

  352. was a one hundred percent against that. So they called attorneys in telling her

  353. you can't, you can't do that, And so they called attorneys in and

  354. the attorneys explained that, well, yes she can, she can sign him

  355. out of the nursing home. But to protect yourself, so they wrote up

  356. an aff at David that Missy would have to sign that released the nursing home

  357. and the doctors and everybody involved from any liability that whenever she signed me out

  358. of the nursing home, making it very clear that she was told I would

  359. not live without the proper medicines and care and constant watching over me and taking

  360. care of everything, that I would not survive. Oh, my friend,

  361. that took a lot of faith, right, that took a lot of faith.

  362. Amen. I just talked to Brother Kevin last week about that day.

  363. I just got it on my mind and I called him on, said a

  364. Brother Kevin, tell me the story again. And he told me. He

  365. said how that he said, you know, he's saying, as I was

  366. pushing the wheelchair down the hallway there, he said, all kinds of other

  367. patient, all the nursing home nurses and so forth, where he said,

  368. they would just come out and they would just look at us and shake their

  369. heads and they would just you know, he said, they wouldn't say anything

  370. to us, They wouldn't try and stop us. They were just looking at

  371. us, just shaking their heads. He said. As we got to the

  372. end, he said, there was I don't remember. He said. It

  373. was an old lady and an old man that that said, please, please

  374. don't do this. Let him live, Let hiven live. He said.

  375. You know, Doug, he said, I was really having some questions about

  376. this. Was she, you know, getting all caught up and doing something

  377. a little too quick? Was she told me to do it? And so

  378. I kept pushing, and he said when I got to the door, he

  379. said, and I I started to open up the door to go out.

  380. So I turned around. I looked at him. He said, I said,

  381. let's see. Are you sure? And he said, she said,

  382. Jesus said if I take him to church, the Lord of healing, he

  383. said. I took a deep breath and I turned around and pushed shealing owns.

  384. Oh, thank you Jesus for faith. There's gonna be times in your

  385. life. And now I remember why that I was thinking that that you found

  386. Now I forgot why I said it now and I'm not gonna track because you

  387. know, what I can forgive him that that that he fouled me and he

  388. didn't call it. Y'all play bathroom. You know what I'm talking about.

  389. When I say found me and he didn't call us, that makes sense to

  390. y'all. I can forgive him for that, he man, but there's been

  391. things done to some of us. It's a whole lot bigger than that.

  392. I'm all. Now, he might have said as a buddy playing basketball.

  393. I don't lie that I did not, but there has been some awful,

  394. mean things said about some of us. There's a whole worm harder to forgive.

  395. Come on, then, come on there, But I want you to

  396. know to nights, the Lord gives you just what you need when you need

  397. it. Come on, then, if you're having trouble forgiving someone, if

  398. you can't get that off your mind, that you can't just put that behind

  399. you, you need to spend some time in the altar, because the Lord

  400. can give you the ability to forgive greater than you've ever had. A man,

  401. there are some people that it's just hard to love them. I understand

  402. that we have to love everybody. That's the Bible. A man, you

  403. can't hate me, you have to love me. No, no, no

  404. no, And there you have to. It's hard to love some people.

  405. If you're having a hard time love with somebody, you need to pray.

  406. The Lord would give you the gift to love that person. He gives you

  407. what you need when you need it. A man, I'm so thankful that

  408. she took me home and the church had brought in a hospital bed into the

  409. living room there. And that's where I was spending my life, laying on

  410. that hospital bed in the living room there, and laying there, I had

  411. way too much time thinking. Paul whenever he wrote this scripture in Philippians,

  412. he made it clear, not just your heart, but your mind, my

  413. friend. Nobody in this church can control your mind. But you come on

  414. now, come on now, the Lord can give you a piece that passive

  415. understanding. I can't explain it, but even if I could, you couldn't

  416. understand it. It's a peace so great that he will give you peace.

  417. Not only in your hearts, Thank God you forgave them. Thank God even

  418. give you peace in your hearts, the peace in your mind. Come on

  419. here now, my friend. I feel the Holy Ghost right now. Pastor,

  420. I know pastors know a whole lot more than the evangelist dots. But

  421. I'm telling you, Pastor, we've got somebody, some folks here that you

  422. need to pray through about what's on your mind. You need to let some

  423. things go. Come on now, and I understand that you don't have the

  424. ability on your own, but I promise you the Lord has already given you

  425. the promise of peace. He will give you peace over this and let it

  426. clear your mind. Hello, is some money, Raise your hands and thank

  427. God for peace of the mind. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Oh, let's pray

  428. the Lord. We'll give you peace in your mind. And so, laying

  429. there in that hospital bed, I had too much time to think about how

  430. bad I had it. If you spend a lot of time thinking about how

  431. bad you've got it, you've got too much time to think about it.

  432. Only you can regulate what you think about. Come on him, my friend,

  433. the Bible tells us, Melissa, can you give me that scripture to

  434. think on these things? Have you got a theory this microphone? Reach way

  435. back here finally, Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,

  436. whatsoever things are just? Whatsoever things are pure? Whatsoever things are lovely,

  437. whatserever things are of good report, If there be any virtue, and

  438. if there be any praise, think on these things. Finally, Brethren,

  439. whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just?

  440. Whatsoever things are pure? Whatsoever things are lovely? Whatsoever things are of good

  441. report? If there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,

  442. think on these things, my God. But all the things that you've been

  443. thinking about, my friends, Hey, if it ain't true, if it

  444. ain't honest, if it hasn't got the virtue. Oh, just as the

  445. Bible said, these are the things you need to think of a man.

  446. But I understand why I was laying there in that condition. I was thinking

  447. about how bad it was. I was thinking about how that I wish I

  448. wasn't even align what did Paul says? Fair even of life? My children

  449. are not here, and my grandchildren, so I can share this with you.

  450. And it's not something that I'd like to thought talk about or think about.

  451. It's now something that talk a whole lot about. Well, listen,

  452. laying there thinking about my situation, I wanted to die. You see,

  453. that is true depression that the doctor said that you would depressed. You might

  454. be, I don't know, but that don't mean you are come on him.

  455. But depression is a real thing. It's a very real thing. And

  456. I hope that you never know what it is. I hope and pray that

  457. nobody here ever finds out what real depression is. But oh, my friend,

  458. when you're truly depressed, you just wish we're dead. And what I

  459. was sharing with you is this that I don't like to talk about. I

  460. spent hours thinking about how that I could end my life and nobody ever know

  461. that I ended my life, how that I could go about it and make

  462. it look like an accident, how that I could go about it, and

  463. just you know, I'm a sick guy. You just had, you know.

  464. It went like he killed himself and I just do what. I'm just

  465. blind so I could see light. But I really don't know what time it

  466. was, but I know that all through the darkness all night, I'd laid

  467. there in the hospital bed in the living room whom in pain and misery.

  468. I cried all nights. I beg God, please. I couldn't speak plain,

  469. my mouth was wire and shut, but I was doing my best to

  470. say please, just let me die. Just let me die. Okay,

  471. what if I what if like at night, you know, when everybody else

  472. is asleep. If I if I roll over and get in my chair and

  473. get myself to the over there in the kitchen where all that medicine is,

  474. and I and I just take a bunch, They'll just think, well,

  475. you know, I just got on pain. They won't know. Oh,

  476. my friends, I really do. But I want to tell you. My

  477. friend Jesus came to me right on time. The telephone ring, and my

  478. wife answered it, and I'm gonna telephone. She came in and she said,

  479. it's Brother Shawl pastors in Arkansas. I don't know if you all have

  480. ever further know a brother Ben Shaw, a pastor. He's now very elderly

  481. in a nursing home himself with age, and we just got to visit him

  482. here a few months ago and Brother shaw called me. Now understand, God

  483. chokes him because God knew there was nobody in the world I had any greater

  484. confidence in. And if it had been my little brother, who was a

  485. wonderful preacher doing great would have been like, yeah, well you know he

  486. has my little brother. I beat him up before and I beat him up

  487. again, and he's just, you know, I don't know that's Dwayne.

  488. If it had been my pastor, who was all set my father in law,

  489. I'm gonna said, well, you know, it's what he gets paid

  490. to do. You know, of course that's what he said. But this

  491. was somebody, and I didn't even know that knew. I guess I knew

  492. it. He knew. I was sort of kind that I did nobody.

  493. And she came and she put the phone to my ear and she said it's

  494. brother Shaw. And Brother Shaw said, brother dead. I've been praying this

  495. morning, and the Lord spoke to me and told me to call you and

  496. tell you you don't have to be depressed. He wants to give you peace.

  497. He wants to give you peace. Oh, thank you cheese, Thank

  498. you cheese. Right then the Lord hear that out of my mind, I

  499. was mind's battle was in my mind and won't am I Heart, It won't

  500. am I back, It won't am I fund. It was in my mind.

  501. My mind was saying, just is that by the way they end at

  502. all? But I'm so glad that wouldn't look like to me. There was

  503. no other way. Jesus gave me peace that is beyond understanding. He gave

  504. me peace of the mind. Oh, thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus.

  505. Is there anybody here to explain that you need peace in your mind?

  506. Come on here now? Is there anybody off field? The Holy go so

  507. strong yet? Is there anybody here that the Devil's been telling you things that

  508. is not the truth. I'm not telling you anything that you don't know.

  509. He's a liar father of a part of that year. If you know that,

  510. ay that Jesus with love to give you peace tonight, Peace in your

  511. minds amen. Oh, thank you, cheese, Thank you cheess. Oh.

  512. No, it's the Lord's will. He's gonna do it for you tonight.

  513. I believe he's gonna do it for you tonight. My friends. Hallelu

  514. yeah, hallelu yeah, hallelu yah, hallelujah. Oh. I'm so thankful.

  515. That brother name was Brother Gilbert. I never really got to know him

  516. a whole lot. He was a pastor they're at the Metropolis Pentecostal Church,

  517. and he was very, very wonderfully good to my family when they would come

  518. to visit me. There in the nursing home. There was no hotels or

  519. motels or anything. And he would open up his church had any evangelist quarters,

  520. and open it up for them to stay in and help them. And

  521. I'm so thankful that he was so good to me. Well, he came

  522. to church whenever I was in that condition. And let me tell you,

  523. the men from the church came over. They picked me up out of the

  524. bed and put me in the wheelchair and pushed me over to the church that

  525. service, and they put me about right here and now in my wheelchair.

  526. And I was laid all the way back, you know, and I was

  527. trying to stay awake and listening to the singing. And brother Gilbert got up

  528. and let me tell you what he sunged. This is what he sumed.

  529. He's sung. You've been to the doctor and he just shook his head.

  530. Many nights you suffered just lying in bed, but you just can't sing to

  531. make it. Your body is ill. Friend. God likes to work when

  532. nothing else here. Right. God likes to work when you're back is to

  533. the wall, when your faces in the balance and you're just about to fall.

  534. So there'll be no mistaken when he blesses and heels. God likes to

  535. work when nothing else wee. Halleluyah. Ah said God likes to work when

  536. nothing else. Hallelujah. Sister Sue. Cold came and sun and the fear

  537. gripped the crowd that day at Jesus's house. When the doctor shook his head

  538. and said she's gone, you could feel that mother's heartbreak. You'd hear them

  539. cry and mourn Their little girl was only twelve years old. Somewhere in the

  540. distance, light against the sun, and man, here came a man with

  541. the mission from the throne. They said, look, someone is coming.

  542. But what they did not know it was their traumise coming down home that dusty

  543. road. Woa. The wonder turned the mocking. When Jesus did speak,

  544. he said, your daughter's not dead, She's just asleep. Then he turned

  545. to the unbelievers and told them all to go home. They heard him saying,

  546. leave me and death alone. Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah. Then he

  547. laid his hand upon the child, and he looked death writing the eye.

  548. He said, all power in heaven and earth belonged to me. And with

  549. a voice that sounds like thunder, he healed. He hurled death asunder,

  550. and then he said, little girl, rise and be healed. There's a

  551. promise coming down your dusty road and from his holy heads, healing, virtue,

  552. death flow. He's got the key to what you need. Death and

  553. hell. He will defeat because there's a promise coming down your dusty gravellelujah,

  554. my friend, the Lord has given me the privilege to tell you, remind

  555. you. Satan is a lot I hurt you. You're gonna make it.

  558. you have to do is just keep on going, right, Just keep on

  559. going, don't give up, and you're gonna make it. You're gonna make

  560. it. Jesus is gonna heal your hearts. He's gonna heal your mind.

  569. Oh, my friend, he is good for his work, and he is

  570. brothers, your piece. He's in your hearts, your mind right now when

  571. you comes, when you come and give us the privilege to lay hands upon

  572. your all, Satan. That's why enough Satan, That's why you're enough.

  573. Oh brother, I am believed. I am believed by his little life.

  574. O oh my heart, I never che all ship cheese. Come on,

  575. come on, come on, come on, he says, all the phone.
