The Psalmist's Plea - Bro Jeremy Howell 8-27-2023

If you have your Bible, your copy of the King James Translation, will

you turn with me to the twelfth chapter of the Book of Psalm. The

twelfth chapter of the Book of Psalm, and man direct your attention to the

first verse. We missed Sister Donna, she's unable to be here because of

vehicle trouble. We missed brother and Sister Roadcap. We hope they are having

a wonderful time together in Alaska. We miss Sister Candace, she's not feeling

well tonight. Otherwise she would be here as well as these others others that

are absent tonight. We miss you. We're so sorry that you're six,

Sister Walker. We miss our family when they are not here. Brother Nathaniel,

Psalm one twenty one and verse number two, Brother Jesse's second Timothy,

Chapter number one in verse number twelve, Brother Nathaniel, would you read that

Psalm one twenty one and number two, By help cometh from the Lord which

made heaven and earth. That should be enough for us to encourage us to

hear our brother read in the House of God the words of the Psalmist.

My help cometh, Brother Lord. He's qualified to help him because he made

the heavens and the earth, Brother Jesse's Second Timothy, chapter number one and

verse number twelve, for the which cause I also suffer these things. Nevertheless,

I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and

I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed up

to him against that day. Amen, Let's stand for the reading of our

texts tonight again. Psalm chapter number twelve and verse number one. Help Lord

for the godly man ceases, for the faithful fell from among the children of

men. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we love it, we praise you.

We thank you for the opportunity to be in the house of the Lord.

I thank you for this word of God, this King James translation of

the Bible, this copy of the King James Translation. And we hold in

our hands even now, Lord, that that contains the Golden text for tonight's

sermon, that you lay upon our hearts for this hour. I pray that

you would anoint this thy servants, that a god at my mouth, and

help me to say the things you would have me to say, nothing more

or less, and not the ears of this not people, that they might

hear what the spirit saith unto the churches God through this precious Word of God,

by the preaching, not through my words only, but through your words.

Com I pray that we wouldn't be hearers only, but doers of the

Word. Help each one to depart this place joyfully and not sorrowly. In

Jesus name. Amen, Brother jerebody, look at your sister Hannah and say,

hey, neighbor, Orange, you glad you came to church tonight.

Wow, she is wearing an orange dress. Orange, you glad you came

to church tonight. Looking at our texts one more time, Help Lord for

the gonden man ceases for the faithful foul from among the children of men.

Our text has found at an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible. It

is safe for one to say this song book, the Book of Psngs,

is the most recognizable book of the sacred writings the Holy Bible. Our golden

text is the first verse of the twelfth chapter of the Book of Psalms.

This song begins with a desperate plea. It is a plea for help.

It is a plea to God for help. The Psalmist request divine intervention from

God, Allmighty I want to preach to us tonight a sermon the Holy Ghost,

title the Psalmist. Please the Salmists, plead what you look at your

neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, have you ever had to cry out

unto God? What is their answer? Yes? I hear sister Ruth right

now saying yes. Aren't someone else say? Of course? Someone else seemed

to say, as sure as I've been alive, I've had to call out

for Hell a time or two. And I want to talk to us a

little bit about this Psalmist, the one that put pin de parchment and wrote

this beautiful psalm. The Psalmist here is the musical genius, the sweet Salmist

of Israel, namely King David. You know that one that came from the

little town of Bethlehem, the one that Jesus considered himself to be a descendant

of and also the Lord of. When Jesus faith that statement, that was

a mystery to those of that generation, and that is still a mystery to

the people of this generation, that Jesus would be the descendant or the distant

offspring of this Psalmist of Israel, namely David, and that also he would

have been his Lord. So before David was the Lord was this psalmist had

a relationship with his Lord. He was a very special child. The Bible

spoke of him as being a goodly child. He was a blockable personality.

He was a musical genius, one that the spirit of God was familiar with,

an individual that was familiar with the spirit of God. He was compatible

for the moving of the Holy Ghost, as Sampson had been. At times,

these men were moved on by the Holy Ghost in their lives. David

was a precious man. I've already said this, but he was comelt to

look at. He stood out among the others because of his appearance, also

because of his musical abilities. If David was an artist today, he would

be a musical artist or a poet. He would be admirable. I mean,

I'm telling you he would be honorable. He would be respected, People

would admire him. He would write songs that would be number one sellers.

The lyrics of these songs would cause the singers of these songs to go platinum.

Of the albums they would just sell. People would love it. They

would take part in it. They would participate when he was singing. They

just joined in tap their feet have to sing along because of his lyrics would

be catching. It would be something that caught captured people's attention. He could

relate to people, ordinary people because of his upbringing, his simple upbringing.

He would be appealing to the commoner. He would be appealing to the everyday

Joe, the average Joe and Jane. This man would be somebody that people

today would put on a pedestal. Until he began to talk about the pureness

of the Word of God, and until he began to talk about keeping the

Lord's commandments, until he began to put an emphasis on obedience to the things

of God, that his popularity would happidly declined, that he would fall into

a downward spiral. But nevertheless, David would still be the anointed person of

God, despite his popularity ratings, despite how many stars he has behind his

name. So he's a musical genius. He's annoying of God. He's a

musical artist. But this man comes to a time in his life when he

has applied applied What is applied? Preacher, does anybody know the definition of

applying? It is a dangerous situation or a difficult situation. So disarms before

he has this plea to make to Almighty God. He has applied. He's

in a difficult situation. Well, those of you that have wret a Bible,

the Bible readers among us, know there was periods in David's life when

life was just treating him so good. Some of those periods in his life

was prior to him being anointed to Samuel. You know, when he was

on the hillside and he had limited responsibility, and the waiting of the world

and the cares of the kingdom was got upon his shoulders. He would pin

the pitiful songs and we looked to sing today. Those lyrics are found in

Psalm chapter number eight, Psalm chapter number nineteen, Psalm chapter number twenty three.

The shepherd saw, you know, when you're just a shepherd boy on

the hillside, every now and then having to defend the flock from a beard

that has wandered into the flock or a lion that has stumbled into dinner.

David wrote these beautiful songs like this when life didn't have as many stressors,

when he didn't have as much responsibility. The salvice gave us some pitiful songs

like those that you find in Psalm chapter number twenty nine beautiful lyrics. But

I want you to notice here that this tweet song, David is not writing

a song like we have heard today. Oh happy day. It is not

a happy day. He's not talking about how God has delivered him from the

hands of his enemies. Yet this song starts out immediately with an urgent plead

because of his plight. So I told you a little bit about the Summust.

I told you a little bit about the summus plight, and now we're

gonna talk a little bit about his PLEA sister would not love to sing the

the songs he set me free. I never shall forget to day just to

let it talk when Jesus will make it right. Py Seldom do we sing

a song that begins with a word of help, and then the Summus realizes

my health can't comfort just anybody. I'm gonna add it to this lyric.

Lord, I feel I preaching to you here that not I spoke it a

little bit on purpose. He didn't say help Iris, or help nothing you,

or help Jessie, or help older brother alive. Knows, he said,

a helpful Lord, because he's come into a difficult situation. And the

difficult situation that he is looking at is that men have loved wickedness. That

is his peril, and that is his flight that he has called up in

a generation that loves wickedness. They call evil good and good evil. This

is a man that is broken. This is a man that is down on

his hands and knees. He that is pleading for God's divide intervention. Is

says somebody in this fielding tonight, that contestify and say, I have been

there in their places when everything was good. I was skipping to the fields

with a little army, my arm that I was singing the land. It's

my shepherd. I shall not. But then there comes a time when you

crawled up. You have spiritually developed, you got spiritual maturity, and now

you realize that life was got to a lot more enemies trying to destroy your

soul that you ever thought it did hold to hear side. You see,

when this Sumester was raised in Bethlehem, Bimberical Rider said, there were times

that the Philistines set up a garrison in in that little town of Bethlehem,

but the Jesse. But we don't find that recorded anywhere in the sacred Rita

texture, you will know that David is perplexed and he's very concerned about these

problematic people because they are wicked people. Their generation has committed godless acts.

This generation has celebrated godless actser that is the same thing that we are facing

today. But Brother Jesse, this generation does not feel inclined to pray about

it. They don't feel inclined to write a song about it. They don't

feel inclined to get a prayer close about it. This same God, I

don't need an a, a saica, a cheesecakeer. Somebody's gonna be healed,

somebody's gonna be saved, somebody's gonna be sacrified, somebody's gonna be holycaust

Field, help God, imagine that amidst strange in the pressure room day.

I mean, it'll been a whole lot easier to be tendan Jesse's flock than

to come to this place we're gonna beyond some twenty three. Now we're sitting

here in the twelfth song, and he strikes whatever chord he strikes on that

harp, and he breaks down and he says hell, and it moves everybody

that hears him sing it. He took the lyrics of that song to the

choir master and he said, here you go, chief musician. This is

all I can tell you that God has given me for this month, and

you need to sing it. Because I'm gonna sing songs that nobody else wants

to sing. I'm gonna pin lyrics and nobody else wants to write down,

but it's gonna resonate in the heart of the choir and chring the director.

If you're gonna cry when we seek it, when we sing it, we're

all gonna fall on our knees and admit that this is a codness generation.

We're supposed to be a cod fear and people that we're becoming to godless and

listen, look at that most number one our God and text to health Lord,

why has he cried out like this for those of you that don't care

anything in the world about the backslide, and that that is happening with it

and been a customer and holdiness movements. For those of you that are not

concerned that the righteous person from a commit and no man, it's laying it

to heart. But those of you that are unconcerned whether or not we have

a moop of God or not. For those of you that have heard that

it be set between the four weeks now helping seek the Lord. Because the

enemies on our trail don't come all now I take up here on you,

but they will cry out, they say, health Lord. I thought I

could up, oh my brother, I thought I could up call my sister.

But the kindly man, he said, I said, that godly man

sees it. He's singing this in the house of God. That's what I

said a little while ago. His songs would be appealing to this generation as

long as they remain in context and in spirit. At the twenty third song.

But when he turns it on and starts saying help Lord, for the

godly man ceases. It's a plight. It's a dangerous and difficult situation.

It is just like Noah's day when Noah's looking to his right and he's looking

to his left. Brother Thomas Strett, and he says, there's nobody out

here preaching with me. There's nobody out there under a tuniper tree praying for

need. There's nobody perched over there on the stone saying, hey man,

oh, come on, or not with me? He said, put the

coll mare caeesar to and for their faithful fail from among the children of men

instead of calling me and dwelling upon the earth. At this time, he

looks among his own people. They're supposed to be religious followers of your way,

followers of truth and righteousness, and he says, there's coldness me and

dwelling upon the person who alter. I'm not worried about the phil Steiner down

there at the Parrison in Buckleham. But they're not messing with mother, they're

not messing with Daddy. And I'm telling you what, We've got a problem

when the god fearing people and they love their cold fear, they're they're not

coming up godless people by society. I'm not worried about the Herr. The

world will be the world. We must speech there. I'm not worried about

the devil. The devil will be the devil. But what concerns me most

is when the soil called churches, this diadil, and nobody likes it a

heart, I feel the Holy ghosts. It's very frightening to realize the Holy

Ghost has ministered through so many men as he has, saying, pray,

pray, and that I would even feel inclined and anointed to preach along these

lines as it was in the days of Noah. Jesus says, as it

was in the days of Lot, as it was in the days of David.

Evidently, as it was in the days of Jeremiah. Preached recently from

the Book of Jeremiah. And this is how I got let into this.

This psalmist has a plight. First, you know what's wrong. Society is

poison. Now it is a toxic. In a recent sermon, I mentioned

the proper Jeremil admitting over the poor and natural spiritual condition of his nation.

In this song would find the sweet Somus of Israel admitting, because there is

a lack of faithful people, honest people here people, wholesome people, and

God again into the world the only thing that he can think of. But

it's my Daddy and my mama in one place in scripture, I believe,

but he referred to his mother as the handmaid of the lord. You know

who we are in the Bible to refine day but saying anything specifically about Jessie.

But the sus stop talking about. Any time he got in trouble like

this, and any time somebody pursued him, he always said, his body

comes home, and he said, I go. They won't. They're gonna

look Jady, and they're gonna lock Mama. And the Bible said and said

his mama Daddy into hiding. What time he sent them into the land of

his ancestry, He sent them in the mo app You know why he sent

them in the mow abba because they lived in the ancestral house of or Beliza

and Bruth. F He do liked out up to Ruth. And he says,

Father hold to hide out the mob. But shouldn't there have been enough

people to protect Daddy and Mama. Should there not have been enough god fearing

people. Should there not have been somebody like Elijah or Elishah or somebody Obadiah,

somebody that would hide a god fearing family from the mswad of hell.

Surely there was somebody that would open their old and provide refuge and safety from

the coming storm. Surely there was somebody hunkered down in prayer and pray,

and no, with all the stressors and oppressors of this life, and the

oppressures of this life, David is having to seek refuge for his dad and

mom in a foreign country, the land of Moab. Now, I want

you to know, when David was raised, he would have been gleaning in

the same fields of Ruth, gleaned in in he was reaping the harvest of

the labors of his daddy. And his daddy had reached the harvest of the

labors of Old Bed. And y'all know how the story goes. In Old

Bed had reaped the harvest of the labors of Brass. And so David,

no doubt he looks at the wonderful plantation, if you would, just the

wonderful land of his nativity, and he's just sees these golden fields. I'm

telling your brother Jesse's just a house of bread, literally loaves of bread weaving

in the sky. But brother Nathaniel, I'm sure if he could go back

to there and sent her among the leaders and think about great Grandma Reason and

I think about great Bread Daddy, and think about Mom and Daddy just hide

out her amongst the bread, hide out among the grain, or hide out

among the people, or hide out in the fall, or amongst the farcca.

He would have done it to the young person you're gonna pie down to.

There will come a time when you have apply to You're in a different

cook situation and you cannot. So listen, Dad and Mom could come to

your aid. You cannot call them the memories of a thing house and to

help you. But I'm telling you you can't call on God in your will.

If you want to, you can call oh God. People take the

mentality, Now, what's the use? What's the use? There's just so

much sin on every hand. Why bather preaching? Why bother so in the

seat? Why father pastor in the church. There's so many problems attached to

that. Why bother with that? Especially when you look around and you could

tell that even amongst the backsliding people, they no longer have a desire to

go to the House of God. That's what David is saying here. I

keep bying any wholesome or faithful or God and men or women in the world,

and your mind's been lamenting about this years after David lamented about it to

bear reasons. Are you all with me in this house? The wear of

reasons? We got this plight. There's some of you. You ain't yet

hurt in your side, You have not yet hurt in your stomach, or

you're abdomen. You have not yet been taken in the room and evacuated by

a position or a doctor that says there's something wrong. But as soon as

you find out you've got a problem, you're gonna call it a plot.

You're gonna come into church and you're gonna hold a pastor for about an hour,

and you're gonna say, help me, pastor, help me death all.

And you're gonna meet until you're gonna talk from your heart. But you're

gonna have to put that article. You're gonna have to make that praise and

that prayer go up to head. And that's what caven e come on ever,

And I've read the rice of this song. I see that David addressed

the chief musician, and he's let the nation of Israel Milter the CLI director,

And we've gotten urge and pleaded America. We got to direct this upward.

We got to reach out the head of the church up I don't need

to reach the high priest. I don't need to reach the sacrificial lad.

I don't need to touch the altar. I need to reach the head on

that church. I gotta get in the audience. The Lord come home,

Now give up a cut? Sits away said, how to put your that

pursuit to? I said to a pot, how to put you in pursuit

to and give you like wheen? But how to give you a plea?

Here my crowd, Lord, hear my call. Hold my head lest I

fault. But David, you're the king. But David, you've got an

entire army that will come to your defense. None of that will do.

None of that will work. That Mother Samah said, when nothing but a

miracle will do. When my emotions are running away with me, when i

am overwhelmed out of bad news, or I'm overwhelmed because I think I'm gonna

receive bad news, when I'm overwhelmed because one of the sheep got away,

or when I'm overwhere becalling her. It's not just one of my dad's sheep

mismissing, but now the entire flock that God has given me to defend.

He's no longer seeing me, weren't fighting for We're no longer fighting for the

same called her. Apparently we're a longer servant the same God, have the

same Partiday. We have to be a saint thanking me here. No,

you've told me you ain't. No, you're told me, we don't feel

nothing. He can lie in the world. This wrong with you? What

this man is king of kings and lord of lords and his generation. There's

no creator key in the earth to this man. David still in this state.

He's Israel's most thorobic key. He could turn on the tears. But

you can tell my study in his life he was capable of a shedding tears.

He was not known. I've had that one on my heart. Hol

day to day. He was knock knock, but he could shot the broad

down. Then at the same time that played his way through to repair itself.

Not the same time he could swear on his bed, not with his

tears, and rock songs like this and help me, Lord, help I

bull the holy ghosted in this place. It should take your little daughter being

on a death bed to get you give out of the chapter to say helpful.

David is distressed because the godly man is ceasing. The faithful men are

dying out. Where are the jesses? Where are them faithful men? Well,

I'll wait till sister Walker's gone. I'll wait till sister Wooton's gone.

I'll wait till sister Hammond's gone. I'll wait till brother sister stare It's gone.

I'll wait till brother sister Howell's gone. Or if you wait that long,

you will never get to the place where you can cry and say help

Lord. Because right now it is evident that the only thing you know how

to do is say help Bethel, Help Bethel. And I do thank God

for this church that God has blessed us with. But this first verse of

the twelfth song, does God say help Bethel? It says help Lord.

It does thou say help Pyrus. I'm gonna say that again. It does

not say help IRUs. It does thou say help Cheerman David goes on the

scene about the symptoms out of this nation's condition. These people are unfaithful,

They're uncommitted. These are people that do not speak the truth to I'm praying

to be a pastor. I'm praying be a pastor. Are you really faithful?

Are you really tremire to that are you're really speaking the truth to when

you say I prayiant? David is concerned because the people the generation are arrogant,

they're egotistical, they're prideful, they're liars, they're double tongue, they're

double hearted. When they speak their rebellious they now their lordship of Christ.

And then they despise the authority of God, Almighty God. They despise him.

How come home? They despise God. They despise us hardy that aspires

leadership, and dam has got to be their kid. David's got to be

their leader. They don't want to follow David because they don't want to follow

God. And it's all because of their pride, and God's allowing them to

get in a condition where David can't defend them. Because David's the prince of

the man that he is the summons the such a prince of a man he's

feeling to help. I don't know what to do, Gus. How do

you turn them around? I mean the sheep at Daddy's. I could turn

them around with a rod and the staff. I could gently nudge them along,

or I could take the corrective into that rod and push them along.

I could goad them on, I could pride them, and I could push

them. So what were the tools of David's trade? A rod and a

staff? Right, they comforted him, They comforted the flock. Was some

of the accessories to the trade. A harp, a wallet sling, something

that doubled as a wallet for little coins, but also could be used as

a weapon in a moment's notice, I wonder how you are with your given

to God. Do you realize that tithing and offering is also an offensive weapon?

Jesus Christ himself will rebute the devour. You can ask Cornelius. I

know that we can fire away into heaven, and we can our spiritual gifts.

But you can ask Cornelius and his household that his operings were a testimony

to God Almighty, that this man loved the things of God. This man

loved the House of God. This love, this man loved the finance the

things of God. And those givings, those operings that he gained were literally

weapons, if you would, that were deployed by the Lord his obedience.

In fact, what's better than sacrifice, Brother Jesse, there's still some in

this building, just as numb the old timers used to hunt to say it

just as dead as a door nail. I'll share this with you. I

don't claim to be a prophet, but I know Saturday morning I woke up

real early. Haven't prayed every day and every night for hours now because I

feel like I need to. And I woke up to somebody's blood being spewed

out on asphalt. And I've asked God to tell me the meaning of that.

I hope to God that's not an actual vision of something that is to

come. Brother Tarmastics, you had that vision of that horrible accident at the

end of a road, and do you know that I've had the identical vision

just last week. Horrible You know what, you may cry out, Help

Lord, we may not live to hear it. Or you may cry out

help Lord and not live to tell us what you did, and us live

our life to never know that you waited until last minute. But there's nobody

promised the death bed repentance or a final moment repentance. The some of you

are not getting what I'm saying here. David was not worried about the Philistines

hurting his family in Bethlehem. David is upset because of unfaithful people, uncommitted,

despisers of authority, rebels, stubborn. Because of their pride, David

knows their day and their time is coming. They believe they will get out

of trouble and they will escape the judgment of God because David is their pastor.

David is their shepherd, David is their king. Sister wounds the elder

in this church, Sister, how was the first lady in this church?

This some of you right now, I'm telling you you're tread on thin ice

over any turn on hell. The Psalmists is pleading. David didn't believe it

best to proclaim the waters said if you can't be to join them. David

is saying somebody and he used to shake things up when I go, they

speak vanity everyone with his neighbor. David said, they're going to be cut

off. What are we gonna do? What are we gonna do? David

prayed about it. He played with the Lord for the him, he played

for his people. We're gonna have to have a talk of Jesus about it.

David believed that his health would come from the Lord. Whether Nathaniel read

it our co text, my help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and

earth. David's hope was not in Jesse, It was in Jesus, the

Lord. I remember standing beside the crib of our firstborn son, Jeremiah.

He must have been about nine months old at this time, as he was

not walking. His mother had just been to bed. I watched her straighten

out his blanket and tucked him in. Then she walked out of his room,

which was the nursery. I walked into the room and I stood there

and listened to the sound of innocence breathing. I watched that little chest rise

and I watched it fall. I remember thinking of myself, Lord, he

didn't ask to be brought into this world. His mother and I got married

twenty nine years ago to this day, almost to this hour, and the

fruit of that marriage is our firstborn son, and I'm watching his chest rise

and fall. I'm watching innocence breathe. My life was changed in that moment,

and I pray to prayer. I will never forget. I said,

Lord, will you keep this son and the other children that his mother and

I bring into this world? Twenty nine years of marital bliss in twenty five

members of our immediate family. Later, I am still pleading with the Lord

multiple times a day to have mercied on my family. There's some of you

right now. You don't even feel stirred. I can tell by the looks

on your face. The Psalmist that wouldn't be one of the most popular personalities

of this generation because of his musical genius gets reduced two rubbish. He doesn't

care a thing about the royal crown at this time. Brother Jesse, he

doesn't care a thing in the world about the palace at this time. I'm

thinking Sis to him, and he's probably thinking, you know, spending the

night out there with the coyotes and the sheep would be a whole lot easier

have Lord. Well, calamity hasn't come on me yet. I don't have

a plight yet. David is crying out for his brothers and his sisters.

My heart was moved because of my firstborn son. I wasn't anxious as a

parent, but I was a parent with a plea. And I'm preaching tonight

on this summer's plea because he has a plight. He has a plea.

Don't wait until God gives you a reason to pray. If we God gives

you a reason to pray, you better pray. That's what I'm trying to

emphasize to us. When we've got a reason to pray, we've better pray.

If we're the preacher without a problem, we better pray for our people

that are problematic, the people that have a problem. I didn't have to

wait for calamity to come upon my son. Y'all all know the story.

He got into his early twenties, some twenty years later, play a crill

bro up in his face. My son grabbed his face and he looked at

his brother, and he said, do I still have a face? This

is why we please, we plead with God. Now now it's the accepted

time. Now is the day of salvation. I don't feel like crying every

time I pray either, but I pray it to pray it through. I

don't crying because I got caught. I prayed till I pray it to Ruth

God, Are they're gonna live? He die? TRD Are they're gonna be

saved? At our loss? I'm kind an air card. I lead an

audience with the Lord, help Lloyd. I trust to the Lord. I

trust to the Lord, and I knew he held my son in his hand.

I knew after wild brother Jacob, I would get weary of standing there

alongside a brother cheer of mis crib, and I would go to my bedroom,

collapsed upon my bed, and get some shut up. And I knew

then I must rely upon God after I've done my best, after I'm collapsed

on the floor next to that crib, cracked her hold of the rails of

that crib, and crowd like I've never cried before. And I prayed not

only for him, I prayed for all the other children that were gonna come,

for their grandchildren that would come behind there, for their great grandchildren that

will come by out there. Don't him, don't their lies and reads.

I prayed for old bed. They prayed the just said, and they'd pray

for day to come on. Now I feel the hold that goes here in

this household. There's some of you feel like you're gonna escape this. I

stay by riding over the firt tale of your Mama and the arena on the

first lady, and then come telling them, I stay, it's not that

I happened. You can get in there, that little baby boy, and

you can be saying have God. What a way to start out a servant?

What a way to start out a song? What a way the choir

director could have said, But no, he put it in the soul book,

and they sing about it, and they are gonna preach about it.

The generation after generation is going to see that our only hope of preservation is

in the pure words of the Lord. If you look at the sixth person,

I've got sum I need to skip so much of the Lord's answer is

his pure word. The pure word of God will protect use the pure word

re preserves. He will send his word back. He will heal the generation

and his winked he will heal up out even get know what disease he will

si. Here's word that he will. He will this present generation through his

word. He will protect you. Through his word, he will preserve you.

His word is the only reliable resource that we have that is perfect.

Look at verse number six. The latter part says his words or as they

have been purified seven times. Do y'all see that purified seven times? At

number seven, perfection symbolizes perfection. It's the perfect word of God. And

time will not allow me to preach on holiness standards righteous living, holy living,

keeping the commandments of God. This is God's word. We should not

pollute it. There should be parents in this building who are cautious, concerned

and careful. But you know what, there should be times that we are

confident, Brother Nathaniel, that we serve the God who is in control.

And that's the only way David found hope and peace and rest in this time

of trouble. Brother Jesse was he said, you know what I do have

the pure word of God. An apostle Paul got to the place where he

said, for I know in whom I have believed, and I am persuaded

that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him against that

day, what day, great trouble, great famine, great pestilence, great

breath, great judgment, great calamity. I know whom. Notice it did

not say I know what it did say, I know in what I have

believed. It doesn't say I know in Bethel that I have believed. I

know in the Howell family that I have believed. I know in the Wooden

family that have I believed. I know in the Edwards family, I know

in whom I have believed that he is my keeper. Those are the words

of the apostle Paul. My faith is not in my church. My faith

is not in my church family. It's in the Lord. And that's what

y'all need to remember. The first part of this is David is saying,

where can I go? Everywhere I go, there's godless people this generation.

They're not only godless, brother Jesse. They celebrate ungodliness. They celebrate homosexuality,

they celebrate wickedness. They enjoy empowerment of politicians, enabling and empowering them

to push their agendas. They celebrate the very things that wrote damnation and destruction

upon Sodom and Gomorrow. They celebrate it. That doesn't concern you, That

doesn't alarm you that your children and grandchildren are going to be raised in that

you're gonna love cheesecake and having a new job and having a name. I

go to Bethel, Brother, how's my pastor? My face is not in

you. I have so much more to preach. David had to petition the

Lord. If you're unable to be moved right now, I want everybody to

look at Sistem which y'all look back there. I want everybody look at sister

Crystal she's moved. I want y'all look at sister How will look at Sister

Cheryl. She's moved. Do you all know whenever my wife had six kids,

she was still moved, even though she was juggling and wrestling six kids.

While I was preaching, she cried, weep but speaking tongues of correct

children. Take him outcome right back in and pick up where she left off.

If you hide behind your children, mark my word, God will take

them from you. What's worse physically or spiritually, that's what we've got.

If you're not moved, as in I'm in deep thought right now and I'm

thinking about this. If you're just numb and you're thinking about when am I

going to get married? Or when am I going to get a pay raise?

Or I'm telling you, you're the one that's causing people to say help

Lord, And I want you to turn it vertical right now and say help

Lord. It's me, o Lord, it's meal Lord standing in the need

of prayer, Brother Jesse. When I think about it, I got to

bring up grandchildren and watch my sons and daughters raise children in this wicked generation.

Help Lord, for the God demand sees us. But I can see

to it that there will be a godly man and a godly woman and their

grandmother living in this present generation. Let's stand and I want to say this

one more time. If you don't see reason to pray in the fact that

we are living in the days that can be locking them to the days of

lot and no one and you're unconcerned, dizzy deem us. If you love

the world and the things of this world, it's not that you dislike the

Bible or dislike the Church, just you loved the world. I would hit

this altar right now and I would pray, and I would say, Help,

Lord, Help Lord. Is there anybody in this building wants to pray

in your Bible? You've already spent your formative years in the fold, in

the church, amongst your pastor and your parents and the people of God.

David, You've already spent your formative years in the house of God. You've

already saw your family worked the fields of barley. And yet you've already seen

Grandpa and Grandma bois and wreath go out. It needs to get personal.

Right now. I have a plight. I have a dangerous and difficult situation.

You're drunk on the things of this world. You're dizzy on the things

of this world. Help us, Jesus Christians. David said, the words

of the Lord are pure words as silver tried in a furnace of earth,

purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, o Lord, thou shalt preserve

them from this generation forever. God, Please preserve our babies and our children

and our parents from this generation forever through the preservation power of your purified words.

Even when the wicked men in the violence of men are exalted. Preserved

us, protect us, protect my children, Protect my children. Y'all way,

you're my keeper. You're all well, you're an keeper. Look at

that innocent chest rise and watch it fall. You brought their babies into this

world. Helpless Lord, helpless Lord. The oldest preaching is not too hard.

This will preserve the next generation. Preaching the word of God, the

purified words of God, preserve our generation. That will preserve the next generation.

Let's pray. Parents, watch the breath of innocents move in and move

out of my oldest son's loves. But the world wants to defile the innocent
