Saint Matthew's Gospel, chapter number nine, the twenty seventh verse. Brother Nathaniel
-
Romans chapter number ten and verse number seventeen. Brother Jesse Hebrews, Chapter number
-
eleven and verse number one. I want to say tonight that I appreciated the
-
preaching of the Reverend Caleb Rode Gap during our absence. It was wonderful.
-
Man. How manever, you want to remain pliable while you're on the Potter's
-
wheel. For if you're on the potter's wheel, you're in the hand of
-
the Potter. I remember a message I preached many years ago, title messed
-
up, but in the Master's hands. So again, I appreciate the preaching
-
of the Reverend Caleb Roadcap. I also appreciate the preaching of the Reverend Jesse
-
Howell preaching the Surprise at Sunrise. I'm telling you I felt the presence of
-
the Lord as these two great preachers preach the Word of God. All of
-
the preachers that are part of the Bethel Hole in this church are such great
-
preachers. I appreciate each and every one of them. I know what is
-
involved in the preparation of a sermon, and I want you to know that
-
your labor was not in vain the first lady of this church, Sister Howell,
-
and I appreciate it so very much, Brother Nathan. The Romans,
-
chapter number ten and verse number seventeen. Listen, Church, So then faith
-
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. How many of
-
y'all believe that that you can have a faith increase simply by hearing the word
-
of God, Brother Jesse, Hebrews, chapter number eleven and verse number one.
-
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
-
not seen, the evidence of things not seen, Brother Jesse, the evidence
-
of things unseen. Wow. Let's stand for the reading of our golden text,
-
Saint Matthew's Gospel, the ninth chapter the twenty seventh verse, beginning there
-
and when Jesus departed, thence two blind men followed him, crying and saying,
-
thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was
-
coming to the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus saith,
-
unto the unbelieve ye that I am able to do this? They said,
-
unto him, yea Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying,
-
according to your faith be it unto you. Look at your neighbor and say,
-
hey, neighbor, the outcome of this is up to you. Again,
-
the outcome of this is up to you. May we pray, Heavenly
-
Father, we love it. We praise you. We thank you for the
-
opportunity to be in the house of the Lord. We thank you for your
-
goodness, We thank you for your excellent greatness. We thank you for your
-
mindfulness of this thy people. I thank you for the way they have been
-
seeking you and seeking your faith. God. When you require of them to
-
seek your faith, they have diligently and earnestly sought you. And I thank
-
you for that. I thank you, Lord for requiring it of them and
-
requesting it of them, and I thank you for their obedience. I pray
-
that you would annoy it. This thy servant, set a guard at my
-
mouth, and help me to say the things that you would have me to
-
say, nothing more or less anought the ears of this thy people, that
-
they might hear. What is the spirit saith to the church through this preach
-
word, not of my words on the co but through you, by your
-
power and by your spirit, God. And nor what am I afraid to
-
hear it to receive it. May we depart this place joyfully and not sorrowly.
-
If Jesus in the church says, as you're being seated, said again,
-
hey, neighbor, the outcome of this is up to you. Our
-
text is found in a New Testament book of the Holy Bible. It has
-
been a little while since we took a text from this book of the Bible.
-
This New Testament Book of the Bible, specifically Saint Matthew, serves as
-
a bridge for the reader of it. It spans between the Old and New
-
Testaments. This book of the Bible was written by a miserable tax collector.
-
You will come to an understanding in a little while as to why I feel
-
like he was a miserable tax collector. I do not feel like he was
-
someone that was very happy about his position amongst the Roman government. I feel
-
like this man went to work every day with deep sorrow and deep regret.
-
Feel like he was miserable every morning, if you would when the alarm clock
-
went off he said, oh man, I've got to go and do what
-
I'm supposed to do yet again another day. I feel like there might have
-
been times that he wished for the sun not to come up. There might
-
have even been times that he wished not to live another day. I am
-
not saying that he was suicidal, but there might have been times that this
-
little treacherous man would have felt like he had betrayed his own kindred and his
-
old people and just felt like, I just can't face the world anymore because
-
of the guilt and the shame that he bore. There's no doubt that this
-
man was miserable because of the regret, because of how he had defrauded his
-
brothers and sisters. For this man worked for the Roman government. This man
-
was requiring taxes and enforcing the taxation of his own people, being the Jewish
-
people, to benefit the Roman government. It is true that the Jewish people
-
were benefited by being under the umbrella of the Roman government. But I know
-
that this man had to feel terrible about being the one that was getting the
-
funds for that umbrella. He had to feel terrible about this task and this
-
duty. This was not a job that this man felt good about. I
-
know, if I receive a letter from the Irs, I always wonder what
-
is it that they want to ask me about? And there's always a tremendous
-
relief when I opened that envelope and read the content of that letter, and
-
I realized, it's just some information regarding the tax bracket that I'm in,
-
or perhaps there's some other source of information or leading me to some other type
-
of information that I could benefit from as a person at self. But just
-
the fact that I receive mail from the tax office or from the tax collector,
-
even if it is a local tax collector accounting tax collector, one that's
-
going to collect funds and property tax funds. Brother Jeremiah's very intimidating to receive
-
such a letter. And it amazes me how these tax collectors can get in
-
the backs of Cadillacs and convertibles and they can wave at everybody during the Christmas
-
parade or the New Year Parade, or some even maybe during the Macy's Thanksgiving
-
Parade, and they can smile at us, and they want us to wave
-
back. They'll give us the thumbs up. They want us to give them
-
a thumbs up back. And we realize we voted for them clowns, and
-
we put them into office. And after they came into office, Man,
-
they increased our taxes. They've laid some burdens upon our backs, and we're
-
unable to do anything about it. But they steal want us to wave with
-
them, and they want us to cast our vote for them the next time
-
they're on the ballot. But there's some of you, because of the increase
-
in your property taxes, you've already told me you don't plan on vote for
-
them. I remember one man by name, and I will not call his
-
name, but for as long as he was the tax collector, it seemed
-
like every year they were increasing our taxes. I know that this man was
-
like Zakis speaking of Matthew. Both of those men had set in tax collector
-
boost. No doubt they have been guilty of defrauding people. They had taken
-
things that did not belong to them, only to give most of the proceeds
-
of that thief ry to others, whether it be some form of government,
-
some system, somebody elms. And so I know that this man, brother
-
Nathaniel, must have been so miserable. That's gotta be the way a preacher's
-
son feels. That's gotta be the way some Sunday school teacher's daughter feels.
-
That's gotta be the way some kid that's been raised up in a hold in
-
his church all of his life. Whenever he's trying to bridge himself between the
-
church and the world, it makes for a miserable person. Again, this
-
book of the Bible, Saint Matthew's Gospel. It serves as a bridge between
-
the Old and the New Testaments. We also find Brother Rode Gavin that this
-
man was a bridge. Speaking of Matthew the tax collector, he would have
-
been a bridge between his people, the Jews and the gentiles. His own
-
people would have despised him because of his position, because he served as a
-
connection between them and someone else, someone else that they didn't necessarily agree with,
-
someone else that they were not necessarily okay with. And I feel like
-
this man must have been miserable. He had to have been miserable. I
-
remember being a little boy sitting in the Pentecostal churches and hear the preachers talk
-
about misery, and there would be a lot of times I would think I
-
can relate to that. I know all too well what it feels like to
-
be miserable. I know what it's like to literally feel like I'm being tormented
-
by the devil at not I feel like the weight of the world is on
-
my shoulders, I would say to myself, and not when the lights went
-
out and conviction began to settle down to part of my heart and my soul
-
and spirit, and I would look into what I felt like was outer darkness,
-
which was not really outer darkness. Only Hell has perfect our, complete
-
total darkness. But I remember just searching for a rate array of hope.
-
I remember just saying, God, I would feel so much better if I
-
could just find a little relief. I feel, dude. I felt close
-
kindred to despair. I felt an emptiness. Well, when there's a God's
-
size void in your heart, you're gonna feel empty no matter what you try
-
to put it there. I was never one to use drugs or to commit
-
fortication. I did not know anything about stealing. But Brother Jesse, if
-
I had a chosen to put those things in that God sized hole, there
-
is no way I would have felt better. There is no way I would
-
have felt satisfied. You can't get no satisfaction your person by being a bridge
-
between the church and the world. He'll hang time with me, We'll go
-
somewhere, and not for the sake of my voice. I will not push
-
very hard having preached for a while this morning. But this man served as
-
a bridge between his people, the Jews and the gentiles, those people that
-
were considered to be the off scathering of the world, the outsiders, the
-
forbidden fruit. Don't touch them, don't have anything to do with them.
-
Those are not God's people. But this man, Matthew, finds himself collecting
-
taxes for these very people, and the hands that are handing him the money
-
is the hands of his very own people. You see, Matthew begins to
-
inform us of his conversion. You'll find in this gospel where Matthew talks about
-
his calling. In fact, it's interesting to find that Matthew's calling is in
-
the very chapter that our Golden Text is found in Tonight, the calling of
-
Jesus Christ own the life of Matthew is found in this narrative within the ninth
-
chapter of Saint Matthew's gospel. And you find a miserable man going from misery
-
unto ministry in a moment. Oh wish ahead of voice to preach. Then
-
a miserable man goes from misery to ministry in a moment. Don't tell me
-
it takes God six months to a year to work in a man's heart or
-
a man's life. But he's truly miserable or not to forsake everything. And
-
he's tired to be in the same old boy. And she's tired to be
-
in the same old girl, tired to be in that same old creature.
-
They want have become something new, the diver safe and might be of Christ.
-
He is a new creature. All things have passed away, all things
-
have become new. Telling you this man have been miserable. But in a
-
moment, I said, in a moment of time, this man becomes the
-
writer of Saint Matthew's Gustel. He becomes a disciple of the Lord and Savior
-
to use us Christ. Not only this, the writings are remarkable. This
-
man's testimony is remarkable. I know that the writings of this man and Matthew
-
are certainly wonderful writings. In fact, most Bible scholars saying that there is
-
no gospel a specific concerning the man Jesus CHRISTA and his ministry than that of
-
Matthew. I can tell you that God will bring her the touch collector out
-
of the touch boot and putting him walking soda, the soda with him super
-
that touch doctor. He is looking for wayal. I don't believe this man
-
wanted to continue living in his sin. I don't believe that after Jesus rescued
-
him, located him, found him, called him, collected him. I
-
don't believe that this man, Matthew said, Jesus, can I go back
-
to the weak of the beggarly elements of this world? Could I become that
-
old man that I used to be? No miserable Matthew had met a merciful
-
Matthew, merciful Messiah. I wish I had a boister preach to you to
-
life. I'm trying my mist to preach me what a little bit of boss
-
I got. But the definition of the word miserable is wretchedly, unhappy or
-
uncomfortable. That is exactly how I felt the knight that I got saved thirty
-
one years ago. When I came into the House of card I felt like
-
a wretch. I was unhappy. I was uncomfortable with a way that I
-
had been living. Now, notice the miserable Matthew when he meets the merciful
-
Master or the merciful Messiah, that he does not give the Messiah any lip
-
and simple obedience. He follows when Jesus says, follow me. The Bible
-
says that Matthew arose from this receipt of custom. In other words, he
-
stood up off of the seat that he was sitting upon, that he vacated
-
the premise better Jesse. I believe he looked at his peers, those that
-
might have been assisting him, or those that might have been in the tax
-
collectromooth nearby, and he said, adios of megs, I'm going and you
-
won't see me back to great Charles Crinson fit he done the same thing when
-
God Almighty got a hold of his miserable soul. His partner in law said
-
that Charles prayed outside in the forest, and then when he came back to
-
the law practice of the office said that Charles Cranson Pity walked in there to
-
his office, collected a few things, that walked by his partner, his
-
business associate that said, I'm not coming back. I've got to do what
-
Card has called me a period and if I wanted correctly, this business associate
-
said, Charles Cranson pity has never seen her in that local officer or deil.
-
That's not matter if you're a love, but Pharah COT's correct. Would
-
you had it not? And you're messible at that you will lead this thing
-
you called this for mercy. There's no doubt that Matthew sits right on.
-
This is going to be excited. Being hitched up to Christ is going to
-
be excited. In fact, you read the recording of Saint Matthew in his
-
gospel, you can see that he felt like the life of Christ was excited.
-
You can see that he felt like the teachings of Christ were exquisite,
-
exquisite implies of perfection in workmanship or design. This particular book of the Bible,
-
Saint Matthew's Gospel, is delightfully excellent to anyone that reads it. Now,
-
imagine the awesome responsibility that lied upon the shoulders of Matthew after he felt
-
the auctioning, whether it was expected or unexpected, when he felt the auctioning
-
of God Almighty standing there looking at him in the light of the eyes,
-
and approaching that co tax collector's booth and simply saying two words, follow me
-
now, that would me about her? What Matthew might have felt for the
-
sad low. The reality of this is there is a mission for somebody that
-
has been so miserable home teme on. Now, I'm telling somebody in this
-
building tonight you can go from misery unto ministry after the souls to night.
-
God can take care of it. Why we're in the altar that God can
-
take her care of her. Let misery. I fet so misery. I'm
-
telling you I had a birding this week. It because her, I felt
-
to your misery, that fearing that to human gloom is there because her.
-
We're trying to feel her for God's size holder in your heart. With other
-
faiths, silly self potuture will never feel out space. Imagine the responsibility that
-
lied upon the shoulders of Matthew after the Holy Ghost auctioned him to follow Jesus,
-
after the invitation of Jesus to follow me, he followed Jesus. Think
-
with me of the pressure and the strain, and come on now, He's
-
not going to be accepted of his peers for very long because of this radical
-
change. But it appears to me that he was willing to trade are you
-
with me? He was willing to trade his misery for mercy. He was
-
willing to trade his misery for ministry, whatever that meant. I remember the
-
Knight that I came into the church house. It was in the month of
-
October, in the year nineteen ninety two. Has been a little over thirty
-
one years now, and I remember saying, God, God, I am
-
sick and tired of the way I've been feeling. I knew the reason why
-
I was feeling the way I had been feeling, feeling, the doom and
-
the tread and the despair. I didn't have an enemy that I knew of
-
in the world. I had a good job, a good car, a
-
good Beyonce. I was not the typical center. There was a lot of
-
things that I have not done, but the issue was some what I was
-
not doing. How come on? Sometimes we did point to and we focus
-
on the sins commission, the things that we have committed, but we don't
-
think about the sins of omission, the things that we have omitted. And
-
I already been been telling the Lord, if you will take my mesry,
-
I will kids into the ministry. I will preach a nerd. I will
-
tell the sinner that Jesus wants us to save this all. I'm pumping with
-
somebody tonight. You're all too familiar with misery. You're all too familiar with
-
misery. You don't have to be so uncomfortable in the house of God.
-
You don't have to be so uncomfortable daring the move of God. You don't
-
have to be so miserable in the setting of the church. When people are
-
starting to surrender their wheedles and their minds and their ethics, just everything about
-
them to God. You don't have to back in a corner and sulk and
-
just say, God, I'm so miserable. I'm trying to pull for somebody
-
here tonight. I know that when Matthew saw them opportunity to get the monkey
-
off his back, he took that opportunity by the pourlocks, embraced it and
-
said, I Am not gonna loud who's out on this opportunity. And that's
-
what we need right here in this feting tonight. We need some young man,
-
there's some young men to realize that there he is an opportunity to get
-
the monkey off your back. I'm preaching tonight over my miracle. It's up
-
to you. What are you going to do about it. It's not up
-
to your daddy, it's not up to the mama. Where your postor for
-
the evers of the church. My son is still teacher who will not be
-
able to help you. It is up to you to get that monkey off
-
yourbaca and to receive your miracle. Can I tell you that when Matthew left
-
receive it, this miracle, he could thank God. He trained his misery
-
for mercy. Oh yes, sir, and he trained his misery for a
-
men short Mercy rewrote my life, the songwriter penned and song Mercy rewrote my
-
life. I'm reminded of the story that I heard some years ago. I
-
believe it was the Church of God minister. He was talking on the subject
-
of mercy, and while he was preaching, he talked about this young man
-
that had burned about mercy and Sunday School. You Sunday school teachers staying couraged
-
because these little children they pay attention. He talked about how this one particular
-
young man had left Sunday school and had followed his grandmother and mother home,
-
and as he was walking behind his grandmother and his mother, they noticed that
-
he was lagging behind. And finally the wise grandmother said, mother Jordan,
-
She said, hey up, stay up with us. Why are you laggering?
-
Lagging behind? And brother Nathaniel. He said, I'm trying to catch
-
up. I'm just looking over my shoulder, and she said, well you
-
better catch up, honey. You're gonna get lost. You're gonna take a
-
wrong turn, brother Jesse. After while, the grandmother got to watching him.
-
She just spun around and noticed that he kept looking behind himself as he
-
meandered on forward. After while, she said, why do you keep looking
-
back? There is nobody back there and a little boy. He said,
-
through innocence, he said, well today my son is school. Teacher said,
-
Miss Shirley Goodness is following me, and I guess it's her sister Mercy
-
has following me as well. So I've been looking for miss Shirley s h
-
I r lie Y and her last name is Goodness and her sister Mercy,
-
but I don't see them. Oh my trail. Better to tell you that
-
little mind had misheard or what that teacher had taught. But I want you
-
to know, Matthew, every time you closed the door on the gate to
-
the te collect your beta and you regretted what you were doing, there was
-
a messiah that was gonna show up on seeing her come on that sight,
-
Mercy for satified you look you in my eyes. Let's say, come after.
-
If you're not true, how come something of the natter? You can
-
come after, hop your nestling. If you walk to nor saying, we're
-
saying, come out. Whether that's a true story or not, I do
-
not know, but I do know that goodness and mercy has followed me.
-
It's been hard on my trail all the days of my life. You know
-
the difference between grace and mercy, don't you? Mercy? Is you deserving
-
something? You know you deserve it. You deserve nothing but judgment and the
-
penalty of judgment. Whatever judgment demands, you deserve to pay it to the
-
fullest extent on the law. You pay that price. If it'd spend twenty
-
years or thirty years of prison, or pay twenty to thirty thousand dollars in
-
peace as punishment. You deserve it, right well, Mercy as you going
-
in there in that courtroom and pleading the judge for leniency, and Mercy has
-
said, I know what I deserve it. You know what Grace says.
-
It's a merited favor. Praise God. But Mercy came looking for me.
-
Mercy came running for Jeremy. How the Messiah came looking for me, miserable
-
Matthew, I'm preaching to you here tonight. I'm telling you God knows all
-
about your misery, and what you gotta do is getting this altar, and
-
you gotta please your case, and you gotta plead Jesus thy sight of David
-
hack Messy, oh man. Their plea wasn't for grace. Their plea was
-
for mercy. I remember here at one time that a young boy had murdered
-
his father and his mother, and he had went through the juvenile court system,
-
judicial system, and they had brought it to trial, and brother Samuel,
-
just before the judge went to sentence him with a harsh punishment, the
-
little boy stood up, and I mean little twelve years of age, I
-
think it was. He stood up and said, your honor, ask for
-
mercy, Your honor, I ask for mercy. Some of the elder women
-
in the back of the courtroom, they said, he don't disern mercy.
-
Anybody that would kill their own father and their mother, dishonor them in that
-
manner, destroy them, kill them, steal their life, annihilate them,
-
treat them the way he treated them. He doesn't deserve mercy. And the
-
judge said, little boy, why should I give you mercy? And the
-
little mischievous boy it was so miserable, he said, well, sir,
-
just a little or thie son, I to take the book in hand and
-
throw them at it. That's abused of mercy. I would have took the
-
punishment that was harsh and made it two times more severe. There's anybody in
-
this house, But God can tell the difference of somebody that said, I
-
plead for mercy because I'm an orphan because of what I've done. But he
-
can also since that person that has a broken and a contright heart, that
-
person that has that meek spirit, because of their suffering and their misery,
-
they have got to the place where they're uncomfortable, wretchedly miserable, uncomfortable with
-
the way that they're living. Do you know why revival after revival, Sunday
-
school lesson after Sunday school lesson, sermon after sermon, you do the same
-
thing, regardless of what God is trying to do for you. That's been
-
cause you or not yet God miserable enough. But I can tell you a
-
center out of that world coming in this church, and they're really sick away
-
they've been living then they weren't five use it is true. It is true
-
that mercy will rejoice against judgment. Mercy will rejoice against judgment if the recipient
-
deserves it, if the recipient should receive mercy. There are some convicts,
-
criminals and inmates, Brother Jesse. They can cry the blues, they can
-
defend themselves in the court of law. They can take up their own case.
-
For example, the infamous killer Ted Bundy represented himself. He was his
-
own lawyer. It did not matter, Brother Jesse, how he twisted it.
-
It did not matter how demented his mind was. I feel the Holy
-
Goo sit in this house. Everybody knew during that trial he was insincere.
-
The judge, the prosecuting attorneys, the eyewitnesses, the forensic people, the
-
technicians, to staffs, anybody that set in on that trial. They knew
-
there was no remorse. They knew there was no true repentance going on.
-
He was simply defending himself and throwing a smoke screen, Brother Jesse. If
-
the judge had been lenient and released him, there would have been multiple more
-
murders. Many many parents would have lost their daughters. Spent would have continued
-
his merciless killing spree. Why would you ask God for mercy when you yourself,
-
who have not so anyone mercy? That Bible said that only those that
-
are merciful shall did mercy, those that compressed us in, those that turns
-
away from them, those that forsake them shall thide mercy. It does not
-
matter how much you please your case. You can talk to your dad and
-
your mid and keep them up late and die. Who can text message we
-
pressed go have a meaning in this office and try to talk about how good
-
of the mack, how good of a going you are. But unless you
-
really know, let's just sorry. God knows that you're love. That's true,
-
the goodness and mercy. See, we're present there for miserable Matthew,
-
brother Jesse. Also there are some other people in this narrative that needed mercy.
-
We first had the miserable man Matthew, who got his miracle. Do
-
you all remember the moment you got your miracle? This is your miracle,
-
This is your time, This is your hour, This is your miracle moment.
-
This is your day of salvation, this is your acceptable time. This
-
is your revival. This is not by the Second's revival. Only he had
-
his revival in February. There was no status steamer, and we had revival.
-
You can't afford to miss this, no miracle, no moment. Do
-
you remember the moment when Christ caught you, when the messiahs standing in front
-
of miserable Matthew. He had to make a choice when Christ called him better,
-
Samuel, come with me back to that moment in your living room,
-
when convictions settled in in February of this year, and you traded your misery
-
for ministry, and all how you preach tonight, I'm saying thankful to God
-
that you traded your misery for ministry. The moment of that miracle must have
-
been great. Do you all remember the very moment when you begin to follow
-
the Lord. That moment was miraculous. That moment was a great time in
-
your life. Matthew wrote about it in detail. There. Some of you
-
can take about the talk about the place where you were converted. There,
-
some of you can show me the very portile where you were converted and regenerated.
-
And some of you can take me to the very place in a building
-
where you pray thrue to old time sactification and holding usta in Drethn. I
-
want you to know that Matthew left and it took her his peers and contemporary
-
and say, you may not understand her. Why I had an occupation.
-
I've changed her. There's something that happened right here in that tis to let
-
your bo the moment of the miracle, Brother Samuel. When that woman knew
-
that that issue of blood had stopped man, Oh, sweet love of God,
-
she knew that he virtue has just flown from him to me. Mercy
-
made a bridge, I said, Mercy made a bridge between the needy and
-
the one that had to answer, Oh, come on now. And that's
-
what happened when Mercy himself personified meant miserable Matthew, I'm talking about the hour
-
of your miracle is here. You better not look for a certain preacher who
-
let not search out a certain You better not look for another service to be
-
that to not service is that parents service. You're suffering because of this isle.
-
You're suffering. You're a cousin. There After Matthew had been converted,
-
they went to dinner at Matthew's house and they had a party, because in
-
heaven the angels have a party anytime one sinner repents. I'm telling you they
-
rejoiced greatly over mercy meeting that person and granted them their miracle. They have
-
camp meeting in heaven. The angels in heaven rejoice. Matthew was so excited
-
about his new found faith and responsibilities that he threw a party. And I'm
-
sure that some of his peers and contemporaries and people that he rupted shoulders with
-
on a daily basis, who were also miserable, were there. How do
-
you know that, Well, if you'll read the context of this narrative,
-
you will see that the religious leaders described and the Pharisees and the Sadducees came
-
and they were in attendance up at the distance they were looking on, and
-
the Bible said that Jesus and his disciples were inside of the house. While
-
they were inside the house celebrating Matthew's obedience. He's no longer miserable Matthew.
-
He's Matthew, the disciple of the Lord. He's no longer on the outer
-
circle. He's in the inner circle of Jesus Christ himself. You're not getting
-
this. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. I feel like God
-
has told me he wants to take you out of your misery through mercy in
-
the ministry of some kind. So they're having a celebration, they're partying.
-
I can tell you Matthew probably doesn't like Zacchius just through a big party.
-
Everybody's invited. He's so new in the faith. He doesn't even know that
-
evil communication, correct good manners. He's so new in the faith. He's
-
hugging men and women and everybody. Total complete innocence. You ever see those
-
guys that come in from the world. They don't know anything about church etiquette,
-
oh brother, or church ethics or anything they get said. They want
-
to hug everything and everybody in the path. You'll find him hugging the pull
-
tent old Matthew is no longer miserable. Let's party about, Let's have a
-
dinner. And we find right here where them religious leaders. They begin to
-
say to the disciples, they didn't speak directly to Jesus. You know why,
-
because the Bible said that Jesus had already spoke to the scribes at one
-
point in time and told them about their stinking thinking. He had told them
-
what was in their mind. And there is no doubt in my mind,
-
and all about it. In those cribes, Pharisees and Sadducees knew at this
-
time if I speak directly that Jesus along these lines and ask him personally,
-
why are you in this man's house? He is a publican, he's a
-
sinner, he's a tax collector. Why are you in this trader's house?
-
They knew that Jesus would give them a good, verible slap in the face.
-
After all, Jesus just knows what is in their minds. He can
-
read their thoughts, and the Letter did reading their thoughts. In fact,
-
he told these religious leaders he said, what what's easier for me to do?
-
I mean tithing again, brother Jesse, tithing again. In that narrative,
-
Jesus is reading people's minds, He's revealing their thoughts. How many of
-
you know the Bible said he knows the thoughts and the intents of the heart.
-
Do you all believe it? Well, that's a good thing. If
-
your intentions are pure, that's a wonderful thing. If your motives are pure,
-
If you don't have altering motives, you don't have to be like these
-
cribes and Phariseesus adjuses and be worried about what Jesus is thinking. Because he
-
knows what you're thinking. I love you your thrink's truth. If you look
-
at verse number twelve, you'll see that Jesus said, Hey, they that
-
be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. The Lord
-
felt it was his responsibility to take action and to help others. Matthew shouldered
-
the responsibility of becoming a disciple. There is no way that was an easy
-
undertaker. It couldn't have been, Brother Jesse. As I read the rest
-
of this gospel, and read the other gospels, and just read the Acts
-
of the Apostles, I realized that what Matthew got himself into was some deep
-
water. But apparently, brother road Cap, it's better to be in deep
-
water with Jesus than it is to be sitting in the Romans tax collector booth.
-
And that's what I'm saying. As long as you're trying to bridge a
-
gap between you and the church, or the world and the church, as
-
long as your fellowship in darkness and they're trying to come in and fellowship,
-
like as long as you're trying to drink out of a fountain sweet water and
-
a bitter fresh and salt. You're gonna be miserable. Every one of these
-
people that have prayed through, Brother Richard Jacob, you was on it tonight.
-
Every one of these people that have prayed through got to the place where
-
they're sick and tired of it. The whole need not a position, but
-
they that are sick. I'm talking to some sick minds tonight. I'm talking
-
to some sick people tonight. I'm talking tough, some tormented souls. Tonight,
-
I'm talking to some miserable people. You're not okay. There's no sense
-
in you standing there holding your composure, sitting there holding your composer. You
-
are miserable. Why don't you learn the ways of a godly man and learn
-
how to get into the altar and really rerend your heart and say God,
-
I am wretched, God, I am richedly uncomfortable. I'm rich, and
-
they're unhappy. I am miserable. Oh come on, now, there's some
-
people out there that just seem to be having a great time on the highway
-
to help. There's some people out there, Brother Jonathan, they just don't
-
seem to be miserable at all. They're not having to take medication to sleep
-
at night. They're not taking uppers or down theres. They just seem to
-
be content on the highway to Hell. But I'm preaching to somebody tonight that
-
is sick. In our text, we read of some blind men that needed
-
help. I knew that they were miserable. I knew they could not stand
-
it. I don't know why they were blind. Some of the religious leaders
-
had thought at times, and people were born blind. You'll find evidence of
-
this in the scripture because of the sin of the parents. Did this happen
-
because mom and dad's a sinner? What was the call of this blindness?
-
Weren't just read back Himno, there's a song in there that goes like this,
-
sin is to blame, Sin is to blame. It's yours own it.
-
Confess it, forsaken, turn from it, hate it, despise it.
-
Those things that you love, start hating those things that you don't like,
-
start loving, fall in love with God. We'll do what we need
-
to do. We'll bear one another's burdens and we'll so fulfill the law Christ.
-
We'll preach to you, we'll pray for you. We'll tarry all afternoon
-
at the church between services, because we sense your suffering. We sense your
-
misery and I'm trying to preach it out there as mercy for your misery,
-
and that your miracle is right around the corner. But I'm telling you,
-
unless you get sick and tired of it, the hall need not a position.
-
But they that aren't set. Jesus was saying, Matthew co say,
-
I know what he's talking about. Jeremy how To saying in October from nineteen
-
ninety two, I know what the preachers talking about. If you ain't missable
-
and you're comfortable on the high way, the hell you want to ask God
-
to make your life comfortable with it. If you are sick of it,
-
ask God. Damn if you get sick of it. Or if I just
-
had the energy and the street to preach tonight, I have to tear it
-
our whole day long. I just don't have the energy. Perhaps it would
-
have been wisdom to go home, but I don't think so got have to
-
hear you will testify about the spiritual streak that we all have received. I
-
have received a lot of spiritual strength this day. But mom Voyce, after
-
all that praying and preaching, it's just gone. But really there's been enough
-
preaching right now for that one that's sick and tired to approach the altar is
-
collapsing with the altar. I'm says him out having a hand of death,
-
I says a tiller with sin. I'll sick. I not set a pide.
-
I'm sick. I'm sick, tired all that I'm set on that.
-
I can old both See Matthew kicking the gate on the door of that tax
-
collector booth closed. I don't believe he delicately closed the door on his trap
-
or his snare. Brother Jarthan opened that door. Now, don't break that
-
door, but shut it forcefully. That wasn't forcefully, that's too nicely close
-
that door. There you go, do that again. What's his problem?
-
That Galilean come down here? Jesus came down here and approached his food because
-
Jesus and the Holy girls never miss it. I could stand in front of
-
you tonight. I can put my toes on your toes. There are tips
-
of my shoes on the tips of your shoes. I can stand at the
-
end of reprove that ply you to the altar. But until you open the
-
door, have not task collect the booth. Until you as a blind man
-
stand up and say, Jesus, God said up, David, how bsting?
-
Oh day. Matthew's the one I love about these blind people. I'm
-
sure Matthew was familiar with the misery that these men were expressing. How is
-
it that blind men could see things that the religious leaders of that day could
-
not see? How is it that a preacher to life could understand the need
-
of somebody in disbaulty that arthurs cannot see. The Bible described it best like
-
this. Blind leaders, they do not see the things that they need to
-
see, are adding to keep people out of the ditcher. I am not
-
air boxing the night. I love fighting there. That's running a pitch t
-
air. I'm telling you you're miserable. Honna tell you all that, car
-
I have to face like. We're not gonna have delivers as long as you're
-
interested in saving face. I'm gonna bear my brother's burdens. I'm gonna fulfill
-
the Molo Christ, but I'm not gonna bear all of your burden. It's
-
gonna be up to you. I'm not gonna let you shoulder half of it,
-
me shoulder the other half. I'm gonna help you the best I can
-
while I can. But the truth of the matter is, the monkey is
-
on your back. Do you know that sometimes when an attic is struggling with
-
drug addiction, people in this world just say he's got a monkey on his
-
back, meaning that's a situation that is out of his control. I wonder
-
how many times did Matthew open the door and close it and say, if
-
I could just get out from this, if I could just get detached from
-
this. But you gotta know who he was working for. You gotta know
-
all if I had a voice said, you gotta know who his boss was.
-
Hey, it ain't just like you quit. You quit, you end
-
up in a roam in prison that yous ain't gonna have because they ain't gonna
-
like him. I mean, he's torn between two. But you know,
-
according to the scripture and the man that he become, and the fact that
-
the Lord anointed him of all of his disciples that was in his inner circle,
-
the Lord annoted him to be the bridge between the Old and the New
-
Testaments. Hey, come on, I'm telling you you know that this man
-
was not happy about opening the door. Have closed it every day. I'm
-
sure sometimes he took that money that he felt so bad about it, he
-
probably felt us killed too. That's tunous, that's scary it. Then,
-
Oh, come on, now, tunes must nothing sick enough. I said
-
to this fu that's gotten set that I want to preach to you. I
-
want to preach to you. I got so much more to preach. I'd
-
say it's safe for us to report and say that this man was sick and
-
tired of his position and his lifestyle. Jeremy, if I could ever get
-
out from under this letter, Jeremy, if I could ever stop being an
-
underwater welder, if I could ever stop dying and welding, putting in reinforcements
-
underneath bridges, I could. If I could, I would. I'm telling
-
you, Jeremy, I've heard it, brother Yester. They looking for a
-
way out. If I could make the same pay and I could do forty
-
hours a week, I would. I'm telling you. You have told lie
-
after lie after lie after lie, and you said, God, if you'll
-
get me out of this mess, if you'll get me out of this fix.
-
But one thing can be said about Matthew. When Jesus stood in front
-
of him, as he said in his pew, if you would Matthew got
-
up right then and there and followed the Lord. What about the blind men?
-
What about it? What did it say in our text? According to
-
life faith? Brother? What's with me? According to thy faith? The
-
blind men? I'm just now getting to my text. I wanted to talk
-
about the miserable tactical actor Matthew and the miserable blind people. They meet the
-
Messiah and they get their mirrors at their appointed time. Do you realize if
-
there isn't an acceptable time, there is also an unacceptable time. Because when
-
I put the unacceptable acceptable in front of it, and now is the time,
-
well, I'll do it when I feel like it. No man comes
-
to the Father, he set the spirit drawing him. The responsibility is yours.
-
It's called free. Will you know why my boys is so tough and
-
I speak as a fool, and I need to slow it down for my
-
voice sake, Brother Cayler. But there were times that wisdom told me when
-
they had a disagreement. Very few times, but there was times that their
-
mother would go to get up to deal with it when they were eight,
-
ten, and twelve years old, and I'd put my hand on her knee
-
and I'd say upset it, and when they came to blows, I would
-
look to see if at some point they would have mercy on their opponent and
-
feel bad. There's some of you so sensitive. It's a wonder you don't
-
pull your nail kit out of your own purse and I'm talking to you guys,
-
and paint your nails there in church. You're so sensitive. You know
-
why that is because your mama didn't let your brother beat the tar out of
-
you. It's your mama's fault. But you know what, the monkey ain't
-
on mama's back, so you can love well God, I'll feel that the
-
mean streak you mean right now? Yeah, h I think that that older
-
brother would have been allowed to grind you a face in the front yard a
-
little bit made the spirit of Jeremiah will come on home day up now it's
-
quiet them. So it's everybody's fault while we're in the shape that we're in,
-
while we're in the condition we're in. That's why he's so sixy so
-
touching. Brother Sam gonna use big bat strong, you know. But I
-
used to watch Jeremiah pick on Jesse. I ever advocated, nor did I
-
encourage my boys wrestling tussling or fighting. I've never done that with them.
-
That's not how you make them in, that's how you put competition in your
-
spirits. I never even encouraged him to arm wrestle to see who was the
-
strongest. I don't care who's the strongest. I don't care who's the best
-
looking. That's his foolish is getting all along to standing there and say,
-
mirror room, mirror, all, no wall, which one is the best
-
looking of him? All? Who cares who's the strongest? Who cares who's
-
the best looking? I mean, I never had to pull their piggy banks
-
out and see who's the best safer. I know we're all tired of who's
-
tearing. You can tell I'm tired. I'm geting out of gas. So
-
now I'm teaching my brother Jeremiah. He's the older brother. He's picking,
-
picking, picking, and so I I told him, sister, how I
-
said, one day, One day, Jesse's gonna have enough of that.
-
Right now, it's just youring my Mike Tyson. Wow. Instantly Jesse wentn't
-
screaming and convulsive. And as long as Mama picked that up and babied him,
-
bam boy, Jeri mine bam boy during Mine bad Boy, Jeremia,
-
Jesse's gonna love that, and Jesse's gonna get picked on indefinitely. But I
-
preached a seven years ago when we were out and we're telling to take the
-
bully bout a hornch and I wouldn't not have guessed then I am tonight.
-
I confess, Thank God for your sakes. But brother Gabriel, I Toldster
-
Howard, I said, let it leaves one time. Particularly, I could
-
tell that Jesse's about four years old. That has got Mica his age.
-
He got about the age of four, you knowld Jeremiah, come on there,
-
jab this and jab dot, make it him cry. And Jesse just
-
reached his center point and gave Jeremiah haven and Jeremiah grabbed his face and the
-
look of shock, Bronister, It's like, I can't believe he did that.
-
And then you know the way reaction he goes to screaming, bloody murder,
-
you hitting me. Well, you had it coming to you, Jeremiah,
-
you had it coming to you. And that's what's gonna happen with little
-
Maxon Malacha. I likes to pick on Maxon. I've noticed that. And
-
so one of these days. Maxon just turned one years old, and you
-
can tell that Maxon's personality has changed. That is his name, Maxon,
-
right, I call him max On me. I can tell her that one
-
of these days and Max's gonna get him by the head and the hair,
-
and it's gonna be on that half was. I'm not advocating you guys.
-
I'm gonna tell you young guys, come after me. I won't. I
-
always had a bat, little short bat in my car. You come after
-
me, I'm gonna knock you out. My uncle Steve taught me years ago
-
to keep that big old round club in the door of my car. You're
-
gonna be surprised when you wake up and see loser for face to face.
-
I'm not saying we have enough and I'm gonna find me challenge somebody out in
-
the church yard. I'm talking about win. Are you gonna have enough that
-
you'll finally blow up to the devil? I wish I had energy of your
-
home. It's the devil. It's not your brother, it's not your sister.
-
It's me, O God. This is spiritual warfare. It's between you
-
and the devil. At my best, I can lean over the ropes and
-
say, hen even again, Taler, kick em again, Taler. There's
-
some things I can't fight for you. There's some battles I can't engage to
-
you. I'm telling you I feel the power of God. He must filled
-
him the right. This is your fight. This up to you that blind
-
people will triple They were guess ain't no, yes, But there was there
-
stung, he was there, miss say it was that battle. It was
-
that time. This is your fight. The Kingdom of Heaven suffered violets and
-
the violet taking buck off. Why are these blind men having the same?
-
Have mercy owed me? Thou son of David? How do they know his
-
identity? How do they know? They're blind? They haven't read the genealogy
-
about you and had not been printed yet. How do they know the cause?
-
They heard the testimonies of others that were following you. Come on following
-
you. I'm telling you they believe faith cometh by her, not see but
-
hearing the word of God. You word it out, brother, take you
-
pray for me. If I just had the voice to preach es Tom,
-
well, well, when I see this happen, then I'll believe. How
-
did they know he was Jesus the Christ, the son of the Living God.
-
I heard a rabbi say recently. He said, the reason why we
-
don't accept Jesus Christ as Messiah, he said, because he's not in the
-
lineage of David, and you're supposed to be a scholar and a religious leader
-
in a rabbi amongst the Jews, judaytl and I can read Matthew's Gospel,
-
and right off the bat, Matthew makes it very clear. Now I know
-
that maybe the first few chapters of this blessed Book of the Bible had definitely
-
been the information that he gleaned from eyewitnesses, because at some point he gets
-
called into the life of the ministry of Jesus. But there was some things
-
he was a personal eye witness to. But you know what, I don't
-
really think that he was watching all of the notable miracles of Jesus and keeping
-
a record book of it, seeing the things that you all see. Jesus
-
went passing by that tax collective mooth every day. He was seeing the blind
-
healed, he was seeing the lame walking. He watched seeing that on the
-
day the bassist, somebody who's seen the power of God move served us acts
-
see it is not believe it believe, it is seeing. If thou cat'st
-
believe this found in Saint Marks Gospel, the ninth chapter, Take you Holy
-
Goes. Jesus told that one if thou canst believe, all things aren't possible.
-
You've got to believe in this service tonight. You gotta pray. There's
-
a reason why the Saints terry weeping like God. He is off the subject.
-
There's a reason why our preacher is preaching through foul twilty. There's a
-
reason why our creature is preaching through weakness. There's a reason why we prayed
-
for six hours the Lord God in the faces of these two black men.
-
How do you know this because I noticed and I talked about this, dear
-
in our camp meet. Anytime there was a great healing in place, Brother
-
Philip, anytime somebody got their miracle, there was always a believe for mercy.
-
Every time I have experienced a healing in my life. And there's some
-
notable miracles. Brother Samuel asked me the other day if we could put recordings
-
of the notable miracles that have happened in our family. I believe I will
-
grant the request of Brother Samuel and we will sit down as a family and
-
in their future and walk through the notable miracles that God has done for our
-
family in our hour of trials, testing, calamity, persecution, tribulation.
-
Our God was faithful, brother Yes said, and he always showed up.
-
But we recognized our hour, I said, we recognized our hour. This
-
sermon is tirled my miracle. You need to stop thinking about my monkey.
-
You need to stop thinking about my misery. You need to start thinking about
-
my hour of mercy, my hour of the Messiah, my hour of ministry.
-
It is time to do something. It's time to be up and about
-
the Father's business. Right now, you're fantasizing about standing up here doing what
-
I'm doing. That's not how it happens. That is not how it happens.
-
God will never save you or transform you as long as you're fantasizing about
-
ministry. But I'm telling you, when you get miserable and sick and tired
-
of your sin, is still telling what God who will be need you when
-
he sees you're tired of it. I know, brother Jesse, that the
-
Lord got in the face of these fine men because the Bible said he asked
-
them to do something the Bible said that they were crying, and as they
-
were crying, they said, now if you noticed our text the Bible said,
-
and they cried and said, I've seen a bunch of that, brother
-
Jesse crocodile tears. Do y'all remember that message. I've seen a bunch of
-
tears shed and brother gave her. When I got down, I could tell
-
they were knock getting down the business with God. I could tell there was
-
no true repentance. There was nobody saying I'm sorry for this that everything that
-
offended you God. I don't even remember it all, but I'm sorry.
-
Listen, the Bible said. They were crying, and they were also saying,
-
yes, tears are languish that God understand. We already preached that message.
-
But there's something you got to say to God. Why don't you try
-
it? It works, Jesus, thou son, have David, have mercy,
-
O me, that's my brother mass Whether it works or not, identify
-
him, that's your Messiah. Identify him. For the Linians, Herdab recognized
-
through this standing there, proud of you? Did they really mean? It
-
was the voice of faith speaking through these men. Jesus wanted to know is
-
the voice of faith really speaking through these words? Are their tears representatives or
-
ambassadors of their heart? Are they really really really believing that I'm able to
-
do this? That y'all see that in our golden texts, Jesus said,
-
believe you that I am able to do this. And as long as you
-
don't believe that you can be saved, safetified, holy ghost field, or
-
be healed, it's not going to happen. That's where we're at with a
-
sister Irish, I prayed and I sought the Lord, and as long as
-
you feel like it's impossible, it's not going to happen. The atmosphere in
-
this building can change right now with one person really believe it. You know
-
why I preach like I do, even though I have issues at times,
-
because I truly practice what I preach and I truly believe that in a moment
-
of the annoyty that moment. Do you remember the moment when Jesus called you?
-
Do you remember do you understand this is your moment? Do you realize
-
it may take another six months or another six years, that God could come
-
back by and the world could be in chaos and could liam it in before
-
he makes up revolution. It's true that it's that surely goodness and mercy shall
-
follow me all the days of my life. It is true that his mercies
-
are renewed every morning, every cycle, every twenty four hour period, his
-
mercy is renewed. But is his grace and mercy? Prays it to open
-
blinded eyes that every model legion would they have been able to have the same
-
opportunity for next what not? You not the same my purpunity in the next
-
day? What? Ten thousand times? No? He they worked out to
-
have had the same opportunity. Jesus wanting to know, do you really mean
-
it? Do you really mean it? Do you believe that I am able
-
to do this? And their answer wasn't Mom set up with me till morn
-
And let me tell you how depressed that. Let me tell you how don't
-
fit into the youth group. Let me tell you how I'm having a hard
-
time finding a job. Let me tell you how hard it is right now
-
for me to get a pluses. Let me tell you right now how hard
-
it is for me right now to have peace of mind. That was none
-
of this, They plead it with a master, have mercy I'm telling you
-
this just the moment of their miracle. Have mercy, Have mercy. God
-
can cause you to suffer enough that you will plead for mercy. I'm telling
-
you I've seen catsup sens prepared flee for mercy. I saw somebody on the
-
floor where Brother Philip was. They weren't vomiting. I think Sister Lizabeth said
-
they were vomited enough blood, just one viment after another, just losing life.
-
Who losing blod Oh come on, now, you might as well plead
-
for mercy at night and not late. I only say that, Brother Philip,
-
because your situation said. Fine, I don't believe you're not crying out
-
for mercy. It doesn't matter if you say, physician, have mercy.
-
That's what the woman with the issue of blood she had said, Have mercy
-
on me, please, I'll I'll pay whatever is needed. I'll give you
-
everything, all of my living, almost squandering. I won't pay it,
-
knowing you can't help me. I'll do anything. Have mercy on. I
-
mean she was pleading for mercy already. God could get you in that situation
-
where you beg for mercy. Has everybody had a genuine toothak I remember one
-
night in particular, I had a twotheche so severe. I had just preached
-
and felt the naunting and it had subsided abated, Brother Jesse. I got
-
home, no sooner got home, steffed in my living room, and it
-
felt like a bomb went off in my head. I remember going to the
-
bathroom and grabbing the side of my head and I'm hurting right now as I
-
preach, I don't have a little tolerance to pain. But I remember saying,
-
I'm about to lose my mind. That nerve was set off so severely,
-
Brother Jesse. Then on top of that, I thought, you're not
-
thinking right. I was not thinking, ed, Brother Nathaniel. I thought
-
I needed to pour listerine in there. And so what was already an inflamed
-
and irritated nerve, ending, I put gasoline to it, so to speak.
-
And I remember sister wounding at one point, grabbing my forehead and blacken
-
out and saying God, God, Brother Nathaniel, you have the testimony of
-
having the same experience with a severe toothache. They say the nerves and our
-
jawels are very long and very big. Brother Nathaniel testifies about one night it
-
was set off and the nerve was letting him know that it's there, and
-
Brother Nathaniel said he cried out to God had mercy, and instantly, in
-
a moment, the pain was subsidy a plea for mercy. This tells me
-
that Brother Nathaniel believe that God was able to do it. I said,
-
I'm preaching right now despite frailty and weakness of preing all afternoon where you are,
-
because I don't believe in energy that comes from the Holy world. I
-
believe eve our help coming from the Lord. I'm telling you. I mean
-
what I'm preaching right now here tonight. God wants the help. We're guilty
-
and turning in prayer request and never praying about it ourselves. We're guilty in
-
turning in ingrown toe now prayer request. See I got an ingrown toe now,
-
and then not pray about it all week long. We make it a
-
church problem. We make it a church issue. It's not the church's problem
-
if your shoes are too small, this issue is yours. This monkey on
-
your back, I asked the boys. I said, Tony, you don't
-
have a big stuffed animal, a monkey that y'all can bring me where I
-
can walk around and preach this tonight with that monkey. I gotta get this
-
monkey up my back. Only Jesus could get you out of the tax collector
-
booth. And the Roman officials and the religious leaders have nothing to say about
-
it. You will remember hearing some of them did not want to touch Jesus
-
in mag You remember some of their wives came to them and said, hey,
-
have nothing to do with that man. I have been haunted during the
-
night because of that man. I have dreamed dreams, doctor, dreamed actor
-
dreams because of this miracle worker. The miracle worker is the one that has
-
unctioned us today to pray for you. Now we're going to illustrate this.
-
Come here, brother Samuel, and come in brother time. I want both
-
of you to close your eyes as tired as you forget them up their my
-
squeeze them together as tight as you could get them. Now, I want
-
you guys to follow me. Don't you cheat and keeping my brother sam And
-
you thought you were gonna have to take sister Meg into the yard, and
-
I you stumbled to hit the corner of this pulpit. You gonna go to
-
the yard with flits. Let's gone these stitches. Follow me, Matthew the
-
Bible said that Jesus went into a house. Jesus went into a house a
-
sister Whitner's some of them that would give up, and some of this building
-
would have already given up. But I picked too. If we were playing
-
hot potato, Tyler would be cold, cold corps and be getting hired than
-
are tied. They following me now, two blind men. Now, Brother
-
Sam, to open your eyes real quick, look at where you're at.
-
Title, open your eyes real quick. Look where you're at. I'm over
-
here. You meet right there in front of that pool pit. All right,
-
guys, I know we don't hold hands, lock kind of armed shoulders
-
like that. Close y as tied as you can now. I believe sister
-
would because they were both at the house. They both went to the house
-
where Jesus was, and those two blind men, brother Nathan, were hollering
-
Jesus, their son and David have mercy. Now you'll imagine the Son of
-
God is in the house. They know he's the son of God. I
-
know who had us praying this afternoon, the Son of God. Did I
-
know what he had felt all day? I know what we felt this morning.
-
Sam and Tyler, begin your search I'll give you a little bit of
-
a hint. That's right by the samu steer him in the right direction.
-
I'm over here at the amen corner. Jesus wants you to seek him.
-
Jesus is in the house now, I'm sure, and some of you see
-
I'm forty feet away from them. I'm over here in the views and they
-
are now climbing the platform. The homeowner was probably told hodd nuts or any
-
plant that out there. They're trying to find the door. So when you
-
get to the pl when you get to the point that it's hopeless, and
-
you realize there's no way I'm gonna get what I need unless I call on
-
him. This fumbling around and stumbling ain't gonna get it. There they are
-
twenty feet away from me. So when Jesus came to that tax collector booth,
-
miserable Matthew stood right up. He knew Jesus had somewhat to offer.
-
Y'all see these guys, they're fumbling around, they're stumbling around, they're blind,
-
they can't see. Brother, They're twenty five feet away from me.
-
They're hugging the statue in the front yard, so to speak. They're going
-
through the rose garden. Now that hurt and brother sam and just said I
-
laid a hand on him. Now that woman that pressed her way through the
-
crowd had the advantage of looking and laying her hand on Jesus. But guys,
-
take your hands off of me. Perhaps one of them had touched him,
-
Sister Walker, but he knew they were not serious enough. I've had
-
young men before, ASPC. Can I work for you? Can I'm vork
-
for you? And they I looked They're fixing and do it in the next
-
thirty minutes. And then three days later I realized they have not done it.
-
They really did not want to work. They just wanted to know if
-
I was interested in using their service. But they were not interested, as
-
though they supposed or pretending that they were ready to work in the next hour.
-
Oh, come on, this is deep money. There's a lot of
-
people say, oh, we're having revival. The holy Ghost is being dished
-
out from the heavenly Bucphaheim. Oh, Brother Jesse got the Holy ghosts her
-
head, Brother seven, you've got the holy ghost. Oh, brother Game,
-
we got the Holy ghosts. I think I've walked the Holy Ghost.
-
I'm not gonna walk overs tonight because brother Caleb's eating cords. I'm gonna want
-
cbs because I won't cold, I said the other day. The only thing
-
La Belle's missing is the covers, and so just the fact that they might
-
have felt him or touched him, Jesus was not going to be the seed
-
by that. But whenever they cried out, you guys haven't started cried out
-
yet. I could Sister Wood's feeling that some of you is dead and his
-
color blood to may. I'm early to church, church stutches sis, I'm
-
here at five o'clock or the lot has a flat cause to the church are
-
in law, so I met hurry out there in five pills, Jesus,
-
Jesus, I need the Holy North. Jesus, I need the Holy North.
-
I mean they crelaim it quite the seed to five Lord together arm in
-
Lord, cried out, Jesus, I know I can't read you all into
-
how long. I can't see the way you are. I don't even know
-
your parents, but I know your identity. How could this cloud you live
-
the best of them. You are the son of David. You are the
-
Messiah. You are the acid of my problem. You are the sid said
-
I said at that point, brother saying him Jesus approached so and could you
-
imagine how beautiful it must have been? With his voice, the tone of
-
his voice, he said, believe he that I'm able to do this.
-
The moment of a miracle not to happen, I said, My brother Gabriel
-
was sinking the Holy Ghost, and I said, Lord, I feel like
-
the moment of the miracle. That's right here. And I felt like a
-
spiritual midwife. And I stepped into the operating wing, if you would,
-
and we delivered a baby. And I remember Brother Roquat saying, we ain't
-
gonna stop praying till we delivered. It was about fifteen minutes later. He
-
was lost in the spirit, rolling in the floor, speaking in a heavenly
-
language for a good two hours, not wanting to leave church, not worried
-
about what time it was, the moment of his miracle, Brother saying,
-
you know, I want everybody to look at you right now. Y'all are
-
still blind, can't see anything. Kevin, when he said, believe you
-
that I'm able to do this, I'll tell you what. They probably got
-
the pattern to each other on the back h the moment of the miracle is
-
here. I'm preaching it night over my miracle, not as excited as Matthew.
-
God. Just to how we're gonna realize. I ain't gonna be known
-
as a tax collector. My epithat ain't gonna read Matthew the tax collector.
-
My epithaph is gonna read Saint Matthew's gospel all my wheels out here. I
-
said, from me this nigger industry, Jesus, believe me that I'm able
-
to do this. You know what their answer was? Two words, yeah,
-
Lord, Yeah, Lord? And you know what happened. Open your
-
eyes boys, the first thing they lay eyes old? What's the must say
-
it? I said, what you get? What's in me? Buil a
-
Messiah saw that bright dang my Siah saw up. Gotaesa Pleassi shut up.
-
Don't know that? What don't that? Tells up? The stand that and
-
praise the Lord. This is the moment somebody I obey the long right now.
-
Don't shirk your responsibility. Please do not shirk your responsibility how to come
-
home, because this is your opportunity. It is your responsibility to get a
-
hold of Jesus. It's your time to call on in the name and a
-
Lord we're seeing him, the whole ghost we're seeing, nor he will this.
-
Don't need for you to suffer this, don't need for the devil to
-
turn it you day and night. Per Come in now, p Oh,
-
I'm telling you the whole person, because in this place Jesus exerted with these
-
minds according to your faith. Be it up to you all, calling to
-
your faith. Wod I to you, and Bible said and their oyes not
-
author and nothing. Sweep O, my God, I can hear the testimony
-
of Noath. That must have been the authority bush that we stumbled him too.
-
That must have been the wrong door when we were trying to open.
-
That was the wrong house that we were at. Sorry, neighbors, I
-
was trying to get to Jesus. Somebody needs to come right over here,
-
and somebody else needs to come right over there. The moment of your miracle.
-
Listen, believe and received believe this. Now that he is able to
-
do this, I'm gonna say it again. And there needs to be somebody
-
over here. If you've got the Holy Ghost said, you need a healing,
-
if you need sanctification, you need salvation. The moment of miracle is
-
here. I had no idea that Sister Grace was doing a car. But
-
that's the one God showed me. She wished to be here, and there
-
she is. Sister Grace, thank you for obeying the Lord. That is
-
a miracle that would making for you the moment of my miracle. I know
-
it was him calling me that, not Wow fear essays, Oh come on
-
now, you can a whole try. You just talk about me up to
-
it. That's it a sucker changing it. There's something over it, man
-
side. So all of a sudden lurked to stock a n with an oil.
-
They're not call it copissible mounting forever. They're not gonna be glad forever.
-
It's the moment of long using hello maws testimony used to be given my
-
moments, my ritual. Then I train a grocy plcy to a call,
-
telling little power gus in this house calling the call had away the mannas not
-
