All right, if you have your bibles, will you turn with me to
-
the Book of Genesis. Isn't that an awesome word? Genesis? Man,
-
direct your attention to the fourth chapter. We will be reading the third and
-
fourth versus Brother Nathaniel Romans, chapter number nine and verse number thirteen, Brother
-
Jesse Galatians, Chapter number five, Verses number sixteen and seventeen. Did y'all
-
have a good job at that progressive dinner last night? Thank you to all
-
the host families that hosted the beautiful Bethel hole in his churches. We went
-
from house to house fellowship, and one with another breaking bread. Thank you
-
you all did such a good job. Who came to church this morning tired?
-
After that? Y'all did a pretty good job going home in a decent
-
time. But the question is did you get in bed at a decent job?
-
We still had church this morning there with the Brother Nathaniel, which you
-
read our cotext Romans chapter number nine and verse number thirteen. Please, my
-
brother, as it is written, Jacob, have I loved? But Esau
-
have I hated? This is a powerful verse. It's a blood chilling verse
-
as it speaks of two brothers who were twins not identical twins, but two
-
brothers that shared so much. They had so much in common. And God
-
said, I have hated one and loved the author brother Jesse Galatians, chapter
-
number five, verses number sixteen and seventeen. This I say, then,
-
walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
-
For the flesh lusted against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh.
-
And these are contrary, the one to the other, so that she
-
cannot do the things that she would. Let's stand for the reading of golden
-
texts. Tony Genesis, chapter number four, verses number three and four.
-
And in process of time, and came to pass that Cain brought of the
-
fruit of the ground and offering unto the Lord and Abel, he also brought
-
of the first things of his flock, and of the fat thereof. And
-
the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering, we'll read another fores
-
verse. But unto Cain and to his offering, he had not respect.
-
And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. May we pray,
-
Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We thank you for the
-
opportunity to be in your house. We pray that you would anoint this thy
-
servants and a guard in my mouth, and help me to say the things
-
that you would have me to say, nothing more or less anort the ears
-
of this thy people, that they might hear what the spirits saith under the
-
churches. Lord, I pray that these sayings would go below the shoulders to
-
get in that heart, in that spirit, in the soul. I pray
-
God that you would help us not to be here's only help us to heed.
-
I don't want anybody in this building, including myself, tonight, to
-
deceit ourselves. We need the sayings of this blessed but we need to keep
-
them. I pray Father that we would depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully.
-
In Jesus's name. Amen, as you're being seated, say hey,
-
neighbor, do you have a brother and does he look like you? Is
-
there anybody in this building tonight that can say I have a brother that looks
-
like me? All right? Sister Lisha raised her hand. Anyone else raise
-
your hand, Sister Jackie Walker, Sister Teresa Wallace, Brother Christian Wood.
-
Ah, So, Sister Donna, I have a brother that looks like me.
-
I want to preach to you that the Holy Ghost. Titled a Tale
-
of Two Brothers, a Tale of two brothers. Our text is found in
-
an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Genesis. Isn't
-
that an awesome an amazing word? Genesis, the Book of Genesis or the
-
Book of Beginnings. This book details the origins of the heavens and earth.
-
It also details the origins of all life, in its smallest of forms or
-
in its greatest of forms. The origins of life can be found recorded in
-
this blessed book of the Bible. Again, this book details the origins of
-
the heavens and the earth. Not only does it detail that to us,
-
it also details the origins of the human race. In this particular book of
-
the Bible we also find the origin of the nation of Israel. The Lord
-
a named Abraham to be the father of the faithful. This man is also
-
known as the Friend of God. How many of you in this building tonight
-
would like to be known as a friend of God's In this blessed read back
-
Himnal, there is a song that contains the lyrics I'll be a friend to
-
Jesus. It goes on to say, if on earth while I'm living,
-
my Lord shall have a friend somehow. This man Abraham became the friend of
-
God. Because of this friendship between him and the Lord, he became the
-
father of the faith. This man received a promise from the Lord as a
-
result of his faithfulness. How many of you are involved in ministry of any
-
kind? I thank God for every person that is involved in a ministry.
-
We, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, have been commissioned to reach
-
the least, the lost, and the lordly, and to engage and interact
-
with this world in an effort or an attempt to convert souls through the power
-
of Jesus Christ and threw his ruby red blood. I appreciate every person that
-
has been found faithful by the Lord, and the result of that is the
-
Lord has put you into ministry of some kind. Please do not ever lose
-
your friendship or faithfulness with the Lord, for it goes a mighty long ways.
-
There has been times in my life that I knew it was because of
-
the closeness, that intimacy between me and the Lord that I knew I possessed
-
his favor. How many can say, by the showing of a hand that
-
divine favor is yours. Oh. Yes, if you're a child of God,
-
you enjoy the benefits of divine favor. That is something to be thankful
-
for. That is something to shout in this life about. It's also something
-
shout about in the afterlife that God has showed you such favor and such kindness
-
due to that friendship and faithfulness between you and your Father. We also know
-
that this man Abraham received the promise that of his seed would come forth a
-
very tiny nation, and that that nation would be separated from the other nations
-
of the world unto Jehovah, a nation that would be a light to the
-
gentiles, which was the rest of the world. God had a plan for
-
all of humanity. Before the very foundation of the world, the Holy Triune
-
God had had a counsel, and they determined that mankind would afford the mission,
-
and that they would make a tragic mistake because of the gift of free
-
will, and they would fall out of good graces with the Lord. And
-
the Lord crafted a beautiful plan that will call a redemptive plan. If you'll
-
look in this book of Genesis, you'll find not only the fall and the
-
failure of mankind, but you will see God's redemptive plan for all of humanity
-
in its infancy. You'll also find something that is very disheartening and very discouraging
-
for the child of God. You will find the embryo of sin. The
-
origin of sin is found in the book that we are reading out of tonight.
-
But you will find also the origin of the offspring of God. The
-
messianic promise that Jesus Christ himself would come on a mission to hijack the devil's
-
plan and to save all of the human race. Those that would allow him
-
to save them Praise the Lord our Texas found in the fourth chapter of this
-
book called Genesis. And in this chapter we find Adam and Eve doing exactly
-
as the Lord had told them to do. As they were instructed. They
-
are busy, and they are being fruitful and pro creating. The earth is
-
being populated one child at a time. And their first child, or the
-
production of their own producing, is a bouncing baby boy named Cain. I
-
want you to remember the name of this man, Caine. I will give
-
you the meaning of his name here voluntarily. After a while, they have
-
another bouncing baby boy, and they name him Abel. I also want you
-
to remember the name of the meaning of this second child, Abel, and
-
the meaning of his name. Do not forget that you're gonna need it at
-
some point because of motherhood and because of the fulfillment of the promise. Eve
-
begins to feel satisfied because of her simple obedience to the mandate that they received
-
from the Lord against the bill. Satisfied. In fact, when she first
-
brings forth this first son came, she says, I have got a manchild
-
from the Lord. What she's saying is this in build will or machine,
-
This production facility that God called a womb work just exactly the way God said
-
it would. And I trusted the Lord, and I have produced a manchild.
-
We are now bringing forth alive. I'm so thankful that there was not
-
an abortion clinic nearby. We find that this woman took great pleasure in being
-
a mother. That is something that we do not hear of anymore. People
-
that were saying, above all things that I consider to be my greatest success
-
in life, motherhood is my greatest success. We can tell by her verbal
-
expression after this man child is that she is very excited. We've got a
-
mother that is experiencing labor and hopefully not deliver at some point tonight during this
-
service. And I feel like after this mother has labored and delivered her child,
-
brother Nathaniel, there will be an expression of joy upon her face.
-
In the first Lady and I are to go to the hospital later tonight or
-
early tomorrow morning. At three to four weeks from now, we will know
-
that it was very rewarding for this couple to produce a child. How many
-
of you know that there's a lot of churches today they are not satisfied because
-
of a lack of success in being fruitful and multiplying. We know that God
-
promised the believers that they would be able to populate heaven. We do not
-
have to plunder hell to populate heaven. You can bring up children, you
-
can train them up and the nurture and the admonition of the Lord, and
-
you can enjoy the eternal pleasures of heaven alongside of your children. We can
-
also enjoy the fact that God has used us or commissioned us to rescue the
-
least, the lass and the lones, and that Heaven as well can be
-
populated because of the fruits of our labor. It does not matter if it's
-
a natural birth or a spiritual birth. It is very fulfilling and satisfying for
-
any couple, especially the mother, when they bring forth some form of life.
-
Could the church say amen. Chapters number four and five offer a glimpse
-
of how quickly someone can fall and how quickly someone can tell. But also
-
we see that the Lord is quick to maintain the situation. We see that
-
the Lord is quick to fix or repair the problem that which is broken.
-
He wants to repair it fact that has been damned. He's not satisfied when
-
looking upon his creation and seeing that it has been harmed in any way by
-
any definition. You see, the Lord was terribly displeased when Adam and Eve
-
transgressed and did the very thing that he had prohibited and commanded them not to
-
do better. Nathaniel, humanity began to break down in that very moment.
-
It's true they knew things that they should not have ever known. It's true
-
that they tasted of a forbidden prood. But they also felt the poor reason
-
of it, the cursing through their veins that God set part his plan.
-
He had the activation button he pressed in the Calvary code, and he began
-
the redemptive plan, with a process of a procedure. It would take a
-
little time that he would restore his people, everybody that was willing up to
-
himself. The old human is used to sing a song in the state of
-
Kentucky. Our God is a fixing man. He's still fixing songs and bodies
-
all over the land. If you look at our text tonight, Genesis chapter
-
number four and a third and fourth versus your fire, that in the process
-
of time, those two people out of and evil witnessed their children trying to
-
go on to a worship service. Hell fire that came brought of the fruit
-
of the ground. And Abel brought and offering her to the Lord that was
-
of blood, offering of the first things of it his flock, and the
-
fact thereof, And the Bible said that the Lord had respective unto Abel and
-
unto his opering. Doesn't matter what kind of sacrifice it you bring to the
-
Lord. The Lord can tell when you bring something that is brimis. I
-
mentioned this morning how those people in the days say of Maraki, we're bringing
-
brimster offerings. And God said, would to take that kind of opering to
-
the governor of your county? Would you take that kind of opening to the
-
personality at the White House. Would it take that that was just enough to
-
get by, would it take that to me that's somewhat questionable, or would
-
you bring your very best? I'm preaching that message the Holy Ghost title a
-
Tale of Two Brothers. I need two brothers to come up here and stand
-
in front of this pool pit as soon as you can. What's going on
-
here. There's two brothers that are standing shoulder the shoulder and they're trying to
-
get level best to operate a sacrifice unto God. What fact that I've noticed
-
in the sacred riplessness? Ein't seen somewhat sorple and remorseful for what she done?
-
But know where did I really fight? And offering being made by Adam
-
a true repenancel. We taught me sorrow. We know why King God what
-
he did? Could it be because he never detected true taught me sorrow in
-
the heart? Daddy, Adam, I said, Mom and Daddy, watch
-
these two young men that can read home production in the processor of worship.
-
If you were there in church and they're trying to have communion with God,
-
watch Operingness. It's not a civil eaner accepted by God while another's opering it's
-
noticeable rejected by God. How do you expect to let brother in the feel
-
how do you expect him to react? I want you to know I'm preaching
-
us some people in this beuning tonight. God takes noticer to the presentation.
-
I said, God takes notice to what's be an opering and the presentation of
-
that offering. Tank your brothers two brothers. Do y'all see the similarities in
-
these two brothers. Both of them in this case, are dark headed.
-
Both of them have brown eyes. Both of them have an olive tend to
-
their skin. Both of them appear to be handsome or appeasing or appealing to
-
the eye. What in the world is Kin and Abel trying to do?
-
Why are they offering sacrifice? What is the purpose? It is a form
-
of worship? Can I say that if your form of worship does not include
-
a sacrificial offering of self, if you do not come in to the presence
-
of God, want to tell you a basis incrusipy your self presshop every day.
-
It is questionable of your sincerity regarding that offering. The Great Apostle Paul
-
said, I beat my self of black head blue. If you study that
-
out, and if you look at it, you can say that he was
-
dying daily. He was feeding back the flesh. I want you to know
-
that one brother who represents the spirit, while another brother who represents the flesh.
-
For yes, the name Came, it means a vapor, I said.
-
The name Kan means a vapor. I'm sorry. The name the name
-
Came means acquire, acquire, or spear something. Through the name Abel,
-
it means vapor. It's just here for a moment and then it is gone.
-
This will make sense to you here in a moment. So these two
-
sons, Cain and Abel, they weren't required to bring an offering to the
-
Lord. I cannot find exactly what kind of producer, vegetables or fruit that
-
it was that came brought to the Lord. But obviously, even though his
-
daddy had been a tiller of the ground and had worked by the sweat of
-
his brower, obviously there was something disappointing about this fruit and the vegetable tree
-
that he had brought to the Lord. Who wasn't that it had been brimished
-
in some way? Who wasn't a last minute offering? Was it something that
-
he had in the fruit of a vegetable bowl on the table. After last
-
minute, he remembered his time for church, his time to worship Tom.
-
There's no time for anybody to come into the house of color. After last
-
minute. Tats had not been there. You are last start in mine.
-
Pat's had not been enough for a last time graft. I'm coming to you
-
using me breathed God. In the wording, you should breathe God. In
-
the email, you should breathe God. God sapt be on your life before
-
you get to church. Your offering up to be done outside of the church
-
walls. The silence said, I will enter his dates with thanksgiving. I
-
will enter his capture. We praise what operas can we pay? That won't
-
be acceptable? Praise thanksgiving? Those aren't offerads that won't be acceptable. But
-
we're required to bring an offer. A preacher, i'd brother just come to
-
church and sit down and take it easy. At some point, because of
-
maybe family pressure or a sense of duty, they felt that they must do
-
this, They must offer something sacrificially, and they had to decide what are
-
we going to bring and present to the Lord. Now, if you're not
-
crippled, don't present to God a crippled soul. If you're not struggling,
-
don't appear to somebody else that you're struggling for attention. I don't know what
-
kind of attention King was expecting from God, but he got the wrong kind
-
of reaction to his action. There was obviously something different about these two young
-
men. Their in de bad individuality is what stood out to me as I
-
sought the Lord this afternoon. But at tes See, their individuality was apparent
-
to me as I saw what each one brought to the Lord. These boys
-
had shared the same dad and mom. They had said the same home,
-
but perhaps they are sharing the same outthouse. There came from the same family.
-
There came here from the same dad. There came from the same bob.
-
They could share the same stories, They could share the same testimonies.
-
Came can tell it as good as able content. My father used to walk
-
through the God of Eden with God himself. One of you could save And
-
yeah, our brother entertained the dapple. They all have stories to tell her
-
that I want you to know. Your stories or shared by your siblings,
-
your stories or shave by your spiritual siblings. We can all save her.
-
We had a common denominator in Jesus. We can all save the church errors
-
walk with tod We can all say somebody was tipted, so only love the
-
devil that I want to ask you this question. Can you get personal with
-
little cyclopice? Can you get personal if you're worship to the cart, if
-
God will approved it? How about it? What if the Lord himself was
-
to descend from the totals of gold and lift off these towels like there's four
-
men dead never read about in the Gospels, and Jesus himself was to descend
-
through one of them towels, and brother, he said, take the microphone
-
out of my hand and begin to assess our offerings and to praise our offerings.
-
I do know that a lamb would have been worth a whole lot more
-
than a bowl of oranges. I'm not saying I know what it was,
-
but I do know that lamb chops a whole lot better to some people than
-
on orange ears. You've got testimonies and you got stories to tell. You
-
could say your daddy was in the presence of God. You could say your
-
daddy was the preacher. You could say that your mamma Wasn't all say of
-
God, you can share the stories that I want you to know. God
-
is looking at your individuality, I said, God, he's looking at you.
-
Come on now. He sees more than the difference in things hair color
-
than that of abe. He sees more than the difference in the tone of
-
their skin. I'm telling you. We come to and we think on this,
-
and we think on that, and those things really don't matter. The
-
Bible said that God, he tries to raige, He tries the operating room,
-
He tries to help, canis for the bid. He tries to line,
-
he tries the soul, He tries to spirit. He could see God
-
as a man. See if God looks on the heart, it doesn't matter.
-
Through Sarah the same less nave. Howem, God is concerned of my
-
children's the vidality. Huh, Well, wise, God blessing this one and
-
not this one? Why is God blessing this one and not m We have
-
all taught them things. We have all said those things under our breath.
-
We have said those things to ourself. Will I go to church too?
-
I have perfect attendance too. I sing in the choir too, IW lead
-
the singing to I pray in the holder too. We share the same altar
-
for the crowd out loud, one praise on one side, one praise on
-
the other side. In the world, it is the deal. But we
-
all know that that flesh and that spirit, he said, a conflict,
-
and if you don't do something about and the flesh is going to win.
-
A tale of two loves. What mother represents the pressor and anothernther represents the
-
spirit. You will remember that Jesus toll the phariseical scholar Nicodemus up the spirit
-
thing. He said, you need to be born a spirit if you're gonna
-
understand these things, I paya praise. Basically, Jesus was saved. The
-
plesson gives birtual to the pressa and the spirital dis bertal to the spirit.
-
I tell you what angels her ychoprosmas accepond because her he had chose to be
-
something wonderful for his God. Ephesians Chapternumber two, verses number eight and nine.
-
It says, for my grace, are ye say through faith, and
-
that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. It is not
-
of works, lest any man should boast. One other biblical writer said,
-
but I will show you my faith by my words. If you are truly
-
blood, ought and orn again, and the spirit is operating in you because
-
you are in doubt, without a doubt, a new creature all things have
-
passed away, creative and restored to power, has taken place in your life,
-
and the call of the origin of new beginnings has done something in you.
-
That was the plea of King David. After he had sinned, he
-
said, God create in me a queen hearnt don't time, and renewed a
-
rope spirit within me. I know that there is some disagreement we part in
-
our salvation. I know that there's some Let's say, we don't have to
-
do anything that is true. We cannot earn it to old marriage. We
-
cannot work for salvation. That when we become for his child and he serns
-
us the spirit of adoption, we crime. I am a proverb can like
-
Jesus. That we could say I must be adopt. My father's pissed.
-
That's how can I kill you? His marter? That is my best.
-
I can't stand up for tonight and say that I got to where I'm at
-
today of my own ability. I can't say that I thought this into existence.
-
I can't say that this is of my own doings. That's what Caine
-
was trying to do. He was trying to force something to happen. He
-
was trying to First, God, look at me. I'm just like daddy.
-
I'm just like the flesh. I'm a tumor of the ground. But
-
Abel he doesn't look at it that way. He's like a vapor, you
-
know, and didn't have a very low life. Sometimes you've got to lose
-
your life in order to find it and say, here comes a helpless able.
-
It's just like some of you. When you come to church. You
-
say, I will not be able to read seeing unless you're helping hold a
-
gust, I will not be able to praise her the Lord Jesus the way
-
he deserves to be praised for. Unless you're healthy, let someone you need
-
to do is you need to stop trying, and you need to let God
-
have his day in your life. It's the Lord that works in us goth
-
to will and to do his good pleasure. Somebody said, well where does
-
that leave me? Do you believe in election? Do you believe God splits
-
the church govern the middle or the world down the middle every generation and say
-
these are to go to hell, and these are to go to heaven.
-
I do not believe that I believe in the free will life preachure because Paul
-
told Titus in the second Chapter and three verses No. Eleven through fourteen,
-
he labeled the works of the pleasure they come on now. But also he
-
prefaced it with this, for the grace of God that bring us salvation.
-
Have top peered to all men, teaching us that denying onekindness and plessly lust
-
grace the work of unto salvation that appeared to all fell possel. Paul was
-
knock incompetent. He had been stold. I the peak of Comega to Ahiding
-
has a cadan in that patrol, And he said, salvations crazer hasn't appeared
-
to every the bedrol. At some point. We may not have witnessed the
-
moment it happened, but it happened that nown syndrome boy after road. God
-
is his God. God created that life. That how about help to good
-
that is in his likeness? I said, God knows the heart of that
-
nown syndrome boy. God knows the heart of that baby. It's gonna be
-
aborted this week. I'll feel about how it goes he in this house.
-
Y'all pray for me here tonight. I don't want to hold it too long
-
unless you ask me to keep preaching. I know that these people had come
-
to some sort of worship service, as they were not at the Honkey Talk,
-
They were not down at the club, they were not in the downtown,
-
they were not in the court room, they were not in the lawyer's
-
officer, they were not in the doctor's officer. They were in the presence
-
of the Lord. And because they did not take it seriously when Kane Wall
-
was her first because of cons me action to his uncom the careless action,
-
God sit him away from his presence. Do you know that that was ut
-
thousand mind of Kaine his doctor. I've been si aut away from the presents
-
of God. Why is the presence of Tod not detective on her in most
-
churches? Well, we could ask Kane's daddy, Hang, we could ask
-
out him her. God sit them out of the presidents of God. God
-
send them away from the count. We don't want God to react to our
-
actions, do we? We want to act without any consequences. We know
-
that the sins of omission are just as bad if not worse as the sins
-
of commission. So many people worried about the sins are gonna commit or they
-
may not commit, but they never think about the sins of doing nothing,
-
not doing what God told them to do. I know the Bible said,
-
we present our bodies unto God, a living sacrifice, holy acceptable, unto
-
God. Which is your reasonable service gonna stare at? I like to think
-
of my little mind that can't brought some moldy fruit or some moldy vegetables up
-
there to God and said, well, you know, it's just gonna be
-
turned away anyway. It's just gonna be burnt by fire anyway. It's just
-
gonna be dumping to brown anyway. But God didn't want to appear upon that
-
altaring. He did not work in that opera. There's somewhere just over here.
-
Kane picked up his head. What was it he heard? What was
-
it he saw? I'm not sure that's the fire running too, your carcass
-
on a little lamp. That's a smarker, I'm told Almighty coming out for
-
that get away. There was a mortal samir a septence. But that cycle
-
passa that I want you to know. But if he's stacking writer, God
-
will press it. If you cycle PASSI right, God will bless it.
-
Let's raise our hands and love on Jesus. I saw daddy dude, I
-
saw Mama do it. I saw them get annoyed. I saw them praying
-
the spirit. I saw them love the Bible. I saw them teach Sunday's
-
girl. I saw them break out in the shell. I saw them get
-
excited and clapped your hands. I saw them beat on the tambourine. I
-
saw a sad play on the house, sell the symbols. I saw brother
-
field play or a house sold and symbols. Listen, Katie, does not
-
do you a bit of dood to parent? Let somebody wants us do it.
-
It's got to come from your individuality. Well, it's got to come
-
from your heart. It's got to come from your life. It's got to
-
come from your soul. When you got to put the answer strength that's you
-
got into it. It's that not what it's said. You love him with
-
all your bit, with all of your strength. You throw your heart at
-
it, You throw your heart across the penis line, and then you chase
-
after your heart. I said you your pride You're all and all God.
-
Should I pay unless a sacrifice when Jesus has paid it all. Take up
-
your cross and follow me. I heard the Blessed Savior say, take up
-
your cross and follow me. I heard the Blessed Savior say, there's gonna
-
be times you have to put the xbox away. There's gotta be times you
-
disconnect from the social media. I choose not to have social media because I
-
know it can be a damnable distraction of any child of God. And before
-
you know it, like a parasite or a tickle a dog, it will
-
sap the very lock her out of you. See anybody in this house,
-
I love to hear crickets preacher. They're preaching a whole lot better than I
-
am tonight, And come on there. I want you to know that there
-
was something about these men's character that was different. But it just see something
-
about their individuality. What is the quality or the character of Cain that distinguishes
-
him from Abel. They are the same kind of human pleasure. Let's go
-
deeper than the person analoity traits or the lights of their talent. Let's go
-
deeper than their dislikeser and their lights. So Let's go deeper Beer Yathanuel than
-
the color of their hair or their stature. Let's go dip deeper there their
-
heart. What was behind them these two men? What was in the spirit?
-
What was in the heart? You know, the Bible said that God
-
look like the heart of David. He said, I of not looking on
-
the outward appearance, but I am looking on the inside, out of looking
-
at all the heart. I want you to know, we cannot point to
-
an Abel that has already people eyes, so that has already died to himself
-
and went on in the spirit. You can't point at him and said,
-
why is he getting bessed? You mean the point of that sort of self
-
and say why, oh why I want being blath? Why so I keep
-
preaching the said we go to burn care? What motivated these two men?
-
What was the difference in these two brothers. Some of these two brothers that
-
I'm gonna mention, did have different statues, different hair color. One had
-
harry arms, one did. Let's talk about two more brothers. Speaking of
-
harry arms, one that had Harry arms and one that didn't. Let's talk
-
about the tale of two more brothers, two brothers. Biblical characters Jacob and
-
Esau. They shared a lot of the same things. They weren't identical twins.
-
What would cause the New Testament to know these words? Which are words
-
anoid found in Romans sign number nine and verse number thirteen. It said,
-
as it's written me, it's had been said before in the Word of God.
-
Jacob, have I loved? But Esau have I hated? My blood
-
has been chilled at times over the years as I read this and I thought
-
about this. This isn't God saying I'm gonna damn Esau to Hell forever because
-
it's my choice. This is not God said I'm gonna send Jacob into Heaven
-
on a free ride. That would not be a just God. Our God
-
is fair. Our God just knows the dolts and the intentions of the heart.
-
I God knew what was wrong with Issau before Esau was ever born,
-
and that's why God permitted Jacob to grab a hold of the heal of Esau
-
when Esau was being born. We remember these men's mother, Rebecca. She
-
had been barren. She could not feel the satisfaction of motherhood. But God
-
took away that barrenness and he allowed Rebecca to produce chill or offspring all because
-
of his providential plan of redemption. Out of her womb came two sons who
-
shared womb space. It appears to me the brother to your mind, sister
-
Leah have left. Is that true? They have left and headed to the
-
hospital being and would probably have a baby after While Jacob and Esau shared womb
-
space. That is not something that Cain and Abel did. We are the
-
womb of God, if you would. The church is the bride of Christ
-
and that is where the fruit of the church is populated pro created. Are
-
y'all getting this? And brother Jesse, Sometimes we wonder where did we go
-
wrong? Sister Woot and yourself? What I raised this one and I raised
-
that one? Where, oh where did I go wrong? I'll tell you.
-
Abraham could ask her the same question about her two more brothers and their
-
names Ours and Ismiel. There's still problems in the rare today, becaus her
-
that disagreements. Difference of teen brothers pretres saying the home it does terror are
-
two brothers. And when we get to head and that's God gonna look at
-
her. That seems to be too seper and he's gonna say nothing. That's
-
a coat, I said, stop gonna supplement her the sheeper from the count.
-
God knows Tonka he is a sheepert is he? They share a lot
-
of things. They look very similar. They have a lot of common things.
-
They can share the same pastor, they can cohabitate. You can even
-
call them brothers sisters. He not to a money. These brothers had a
-
choice. If you're sorry, it's your choice. If your diligent business,
-
it's your choice. If you're lazy and slopful, that's your choice. If
-
you're a hard worker and a go get her, that's your choice. Come
-
on now. If you read your Bible, that's your choice to do so.
-
If it's Bible before breakfist, that's your choice. If it's I don't
-
like the Bible and I don't want to read it. I said. We
-
can share the same space. We can occupy the same planet. We can
-
live in the same neighborhood. We can beat two brothers. I'm telling you,
-
I don't want to get of the after life and stand upore. The
-
church would see the on the lamb of call it and hear him say they,
-
Papa, you want a cheaper but your God, what kind of offering
-
are you bringing the Lord is your all on the altar of sacrifice, flayed
-
your heart? Does the spirit control you? Will only be satisfied, find
-
peace of sweet breast as you yield him your body and soul. Cain bringing
-
to God a whole lot more than soured fruit or spoil fruit of moldy fruit.
-
He was bringing a corrupt heart. He was bringing his old way.
-
He was bringing his old will of Connor. And the Lord responded to their
-
worship and their offerings in a very different manner, did he not. Abel
-
was a shepherd, and he brought forth a substitutionary sacrifice. And that's what
-
happened thirty years ago, in the month of October, in the year of
-
nineteen ninety three. I stood right there in a different church without in that
-
position, and I said, God, I'm sick and tired. I'm being
-
religious, sir, I'm sick and tired of a former and I'm fasim,
-
I'm sicking tired, I'm being misiable. I needed a relationship with you.
-
I need to know your mind. And Jesus sent me out of the way.
-
And that's what Abel in essence was saying, I need a substitutionary SACRIFICEA
-
I need something else that canplet better than I can. I need something that
-
will pet on her. But I'm trying to compay that to all. I'm
-
telling somebody from this building, God, no, you won't bring the money
-
food. I feel like I preach it to a young person to night under
-
the edge of twenty five. God, Gods, what you're doing the Bible
-
shill remember your creator in the days of thine youth. Remember him before the
-
teeth grinding gets on your nurse. Remember him before your wife bunching almonds in
-
the bed gets on your nurse. Can the men say, even my daughter
-
hand and now has got them perfect teeth her Mama's God. And now I
-
says, waiting, Oh my God, there's another mule over there chewing on
-
barns. Man, they got perfect strung te grind him Alms says sweet my
-
God. I'd hate to have been their sibling and them biting them on them.
-
I'm trying to preach to you here tonight, not to hurt you,
-
but I want you to know God knows what you're doing. We can all
-
say we're bringing the sacrifice of praise unto the Lord. And we can say
-
and I offer up to you the sacrifices of praise. But God knows what's
-
going on Monday through Saturday. You can't come into churchill sunder or midweek service
-
and shout lack an angel, who are living like a devil every other day
-
mother week? Could the church say, ain't mad? Caine was a farmer.
-
What's dishonorable about that? And nothing God had told his daddy he tend
-
of the garden. You tell the ground, you work it. But he
-
brought something from the field that was horrible. That family that we were trying
-
to help, Brother John, you locked this. I thank God for Brother
-
John. I'm telling you what that's a brother. If I've ever felt that
-
there's a dog. That family, we were helping them, and they'd come
-
to church and act lock. They didn't have two Nichols to rub together,
-
Sister having all were young pastors, pastor and this church pioneer, and they
-
glad to have anybody here, and our sister woot and we've got to bind
-
them stuff and bind them clothes and helping them. And when we'd have a
-
church fellowship, they bring them generic doritos. How many of you know that's
-
a no note and them generic oreo cookies. I like the real thing now
-
I like good diet coke. I mean I used to like Bubba Cola before
-
I could afford diet coke. But they bring those generic Doritos to the church
-
fellowship, act like they couldn't afford the real thing. But Sister Wood,
-
one day I jumped in their German roach in festive vehicle because they wrote down.
-
We jumped it off and back. There was open bag after open bag
-
after open bag of cool Ranch say of women, the retos, not your
-
cheese, the Reno's chili cheese, the ritos. And I said, Jeremy,
-
you have been played before. But I did know that those people,
-
for some reason could not get caughtuity with God, and they could not get
-
a divine connection with God. I said, God knows when you're coming to
-
touch up, and you're so change of God. God knows when you're using
-
heal. You may come from the same environment, you might dwell in the
-
same atmosphere. You might feel the savor fat that somebody else's fill. But
-
I want you to know that God knows what's being offered. You might be
-
a brophet, You're might be a sister. I treat your own a call
-
her two brothers my sisters. They go the same way for you. We're
-
gonna actists. And there's so much alike that could be identical twins. But
-
yet the spirits benifferent helps God. What was it, Sister One that king
-
brought that made God so mad? What was it Brother Nathaniel that upset God?
-
Sweet Lamb of God? I wonder if an angel didn't flip the basket
-
over because Cain knew he had been rejected. There was some kind of manifestation,
-
there was something that happened. The truth is, one sacrificial offering was
-
rejected and ones was accepted. Why would we find fault with the Lord's different
-
reactions while ignoring the different actions? Why would we find fault with Jacob have
-
I loved? And Esau have I hated? Ishmael has a cursed in Isaac's
-
the seed of the frogs. Why would I find fault with Abel's been blessed,
-
He's been vaporized, He's dyed to his self. He's a spiritual man.
-
Do y'all see that? I was so excited as the Holy goes tied
-
this together from me today, I've never heard anybody preaching on these lives.
-
The Holy Goes just brought this to my attention. We cannot live after the
-
flesh. If we walk after the flesh, we will do fleshly things.
-
We must walk in the spirit, walk in the spirit. I'm preaching to
-
some young people tonight under the age of twenty five, and that's why the
-
crickets are preaching better than I'm preaching. And that's why it's getting quiet.
-
That's why we're sensing a little bit of tenseness in this atmosphere. But even
-
though you're tense, I want to have the tenacity of a bulldog that chased
-
in a real hawk. I want to hunt this out till I've caught you
-
and drug you to the altar. That's what Abraham did. He drugged to
-
the altar. Ishmael was never drunk to the altar. Ishmael would have never
-
laid down on the altar. I'm feeling the power of God in this place.
-
That's the problem. Ishmael wants to be a wild man. Esau wants
-
to be a wild man. Oh don't see that. That's the spiritual significance
-
of twins in the womb of Rebecca brother Beauford, the world's gonna pull for
-
you. Come here, brother Beffer, standing in front of this church.
-
Brother Philip, you're gonna represent the Holy Ghost. Brother Tyler, you're gonna
-
represent the devil. I said. The spirit and the flesh do not agree.
-
They are inmity one with another. They are in a battle. Now,
-
God knows which way we're leaning. If we're favoring the flesh, we're
-
gonna fall to the flesh. If we're favoring this spirit, right, we're
-
gonna fall to the side of the spirit. Her cunning rays for the cold
-
they locked in your situation. Better Bee, for yielded to the spirit and
-
not to the pless came yielded to the press. Ain't gonna yield it to
-
the spirit? God, an't we gonna do tat? Say, Holy don'na
-
do what the rest? How don't learn them and yield to the pressure.
-
How we're gonna yel to the spirit? You know, came as a tiller
-
of the ground. He stir up that flesh. He stir up that illicit
-
passion, He stir up that competeousness. He stir up that flesh for the
-
flesh lust that that gets the spirit, and the spirit that gets the flesh.
-
And these are contrary the one to the other, so that she cannot
-
do the things that she would. But if he be led of the spirit,
-
ye are not under the law. I want you to get this,
-
as we get ready to close the spirit and the flesh for a time,
-
occupy the same being. The old timers used to say, two dogs are
-
pulling at your soul, one the spirit, one the flesh. They said,
-
which one do you think is gonna win? The one you feed the
-
most. And I want you to know this. You can slay the flesh.
-
It's called sanctification, it's called holy ghost baptism. You can crucify that
-
flesh. You can sacrifice that flesh. Our enemy number one is i flesh.
-
Caine wanted to produce this on himself. He wanted to make this happen
-
himself. And there's some of you you need to die to self. I
-
remember when I finally got out of myself in prayer, I started making headway
-
with the Lord, brother Jesse. When you come to the piano tonight,
-
I knew that this would be a shop message, because this is a challenging
-
and stretching message. Abel offered a prophetic substitutionary sacrifice at that very moment when
-
Abel said I must slay this little lamb right then and there, Jesus said,
-
yep, that's part of my plan. You can't do it, but
-
I can. Sometimes you just have to let him do it. Sometimes you
-
just have to go to the altar and say, Lord, I can't do
-
this. I can't save myself. I can't wash away my own sin.
-
I can't get victory over guilt, condemnation, shame. I can't get rid
-
of this regret. I can't release it. And that's what Jesus is for.
-
As we stand tonight, our Lord's sacrifice was a blood sacrifice. Abel's
-
sacrifice was a blood sacrifice. His trust was not in himself. It was
-
entirely in the Lord. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation. Hath
-
appeared to all men, teaching us that brother Samuel, as a pastor's son.
-
You've seen this God has led people, young people. Not long ago,
-
on a Sunday night, I preached a sermon titled monkey See, Monkey
-
Dow. The gist of that message was children will do exactly as their parents
-
have done. They will parent them. I be kept. I knew that
-
afternoon that the Lord had pieced that together, put that puzzle together. I
-
didn't understand why I would be preaching out to the Bethel Horness Church of sixty
-
five people that were present. I didn't understand it. My mind couldn't figure
-
it out. But God knew through those glass doors walked in a backslider from
-
out of this church with her child on her hip. That message was so
-
custom for her. You would have thought that somehow I knew she was coming.
-
I had knocked the slightest idea that she would be here that night.
-
But when all was said and done, even though the sweet spirit of Jesus
-
was here, and even though the goodness and the grace of God appeared under
-
that individual, and you witnessed it in her case, she took that child,
-
even though in her spirit she wants to do good for that child.
-
In her spirit, there's an element of hope for her child, and a
-
couple times of years she'll come in under conviction and she knows there's a better
-
life for her child, and she knows that life that she's leading before child.
-
She don't want her child to live that life. But Brother Philip,
-
because that spirit is so strong, but she doesn't realize the greater, the
-
destroyed man is here. But she simply refuses to come to the altar and
-
pray and say, Lord, I'm gonna lay my all, including my child,
-
my life, my dreams, my ambitions, my sin. I'm gonna
-
give it all to you Lord. She walks out the door. Now,
-
let me tell you something. The wisdom speaks even now. That could be
-
somebody, say, ten years from now. Well, they didn't stand a
-
chance because of where they've been raised, the environment they've been raised, that
-
wound that they were brought up in, that situation of being raised around alcohol
-
and drugs. They didn't have an opportunity. Oh yes, they did.
-
Street preachers, when you're out there preaching, when you're heralding the holiness of
-
God and preaching the truth, you'd be surprised how many hundreds, if not
-
thousands, of people have had an opportunity as a street preacher of myself,
-
I have seen tears flow down those eyes. I have seen it. In
-
dollars stores Chinese produced Keaton James version Bibles, readily available to just about every
-
person within the United States. The word of God beckoning them picked me up.
-
For years, We've heard it said the Bible has been the number one
-
seller in the United States. Bibles have been smuggled all over the world.
-
A couple of years ago, a friend of mine, somebody that I met
-
at a convention, he invited me to go to Ethiopia. The mission was
-
to smuggle Bibles in the Ethiopia and take it to the tribal villages. Brother
-
Beufort, the grace of God has appeared to every person, all men.
-
The issue is the individuality. I'm not talking about your characteristics or your personality
-
traits, or your likes or your dislikes. I'm talking about what's in here.
-
You gotta love Jesus more than you love marijuana. You gotta love Jesus
-
more than you love moonshine. And I know I'm not supposed to name sin.
-
Oh God forbid that a preacher sin anymore. So will be politically correct?
-
Know it won't. You gotta love God more than you love homosexuality.
-
You gotta love God more than you love worldly friends. You gotta love of
-
the Church. I don't know what I would do without Jesus. I don't
-
know what I do if I came, I had to say, God,
-
where's your presence? Was it King that God sent into the land of Nod?
-
Was it a came What if God sent you into the land of Nod
-
without God? Since the wood and there's been people that's been in Pentecostal churches
-
holding His churches churches it upheld the truth. They preached it, they taught
-
it, they sang it, they shouted power. God moved. They were
-
in the same sheltered wound, but sister service. At the service they pay
-
a lesser sacrifice than the brother. God looked and said. They looked the
-
same. They say, a man the same with the same tone of voice.
-
They kind of looked the same as an ill and altar. But in
-
ten years from now, one of them's down there in Key West, one
-
of them's in a homosexual marriage. What happened because God was looking when they
-
offered a lesser sacrifice. I do feel a deep conviction in this service tonight.
-
And perhaps I have preached to some elder people in some Middle ages,
-
but I feel that God has sent me to preach to some people under the
-
age of twenty five tonight. Jacob, have I loved and Esau have I
-
hated? My name is Jeremy. Everybody say that women Jeremy so I'll make
-
it personal. What if he said, Jacob I have loved, but Jeremy
-
have I hated? Oh God, it's that he said, Jeremy's carrying an
-
extra fifty pounds. It's not that he said, Jacob's getting aged while Jeremy's
-
getting seized in your spirit tonight, are you giving him your all? I
-
remember one time I saw a wealthy businessman when he started feeling what you're feeling
-
tonight. The singer started singing during the uldar service, as these folks are
-
doing even now, And they started singing the old him, as you're all
-
on the altar of the sacrifice lad, And that wealthy businessman reached back in
-
his back pocket and took out his billfold, and with a trembling hand,
-
he laid his billfold on the altar. It was seventeen years ago. I
-
was managing an engineering department for one of the largest steel fabricators in the United
-
States of America, definitely in the Southeast, one of five executive manatures with
-
about two to three hundred employees. I guess by then, I don't know,
-
it's been so long. God spoke to me and said, leave,
-
resign, go to little of Belle Florida and preach. I didn't understand it.
-
By Abraham, all I could do is say, Lord, I'm leaving
-
a law. But you know what, Brother, we had to make the
-
all inclusive sacrifice, Brother Samuel. I didn't know that one day we'd have
-
the beautiful church family that we have now. I didn't know that we'd be
-
buying five acres across the street planning to be a new sanctuary one day.
-
I didn't know all of that, Brother Brokeuat. None of that mattered.
-
The only thing that mattered was I want my all on the altar. If
-
God wants me to go to La bell for three or four saints of God
-
and need help and support, then I'll resigne and I'll leave. I've been
-
there, I forget nearly twenty years. I guess I don't want Brother jesseeing
-
a forfeited health insurance and had to figure out how to make them living in
-
a land that I knew nothing about. Now. I love what I feel
-
tonight, Brother Danny. When you have a heart just right, Brother Danny,
-
you'll leave fidget Forge, Tennessee at seven pm after visiting family members and
-
friends or sick there that you might not see again, and you'll say I'm
-
gonna drive all not long, just so i could be a Sunday school of
-
worn and worship. That's when your heart's wrong. I want us to bow
-
our heads here tonight. It's time that we stop making excuses. Cain.
-
Stop making excuses, because Cain is going to lead to a lifestyle of pain.
-
If you're in this building tonight, young person, and you will acknowledge
-
that God has dealt with you in some way, that you raise your hand
-
right now, one, two, three, four, five, six,
-
seven eight, let's all just find a place to kneel and pray. There's
-
room up here around the platform, around the altars along the side of the
-
building. Will you yield to him your body and soul? Sing it brother
-
until the two brothers. You're going to be listening to somebody praying next to
-
you for my grace? Are you saved through faith? And that not of
-
yourself? It is the gift of God. Just say, Jesus, I
-
need you to take me. Jesus, I need you to take me.
-
Jesus, I needs you. Please please take me, bold me, shape
-
me, make me. God's done everything he could do for you. Cain
-
can tell you that the Lord did everything he could do to help me.
-
Esaul could tell you that Israel can tell you that Abraham was my father.
-
Esaul can say Rebecca was my mother. Cain could say Abel was my brother.
-
Somebody just building by what day? Say pastor Jeremy howd was my pastor?
-
And was my brother? This woman was my sister. I feel that
-
so strong about Oh God. There were two sons, the elder and the
-
younger. The younger said, Father, give me that that is by I'll
-
go into that far coun truth. He devoured that, he wasted it,
-
disquad it. Please, please, please give your heart to Jesus, to
-
God's mercy and his grace has been tender and sweet. Please, I plead
-
with you, let him change that heart of stone and replaced it with a
-
heart. Tonight can be the origin and return alive. Ton can be the
-
day of your spiritual purge at the beginning. Your gals, you cannot be
-
blessen that pa fend a your taking up beast, happy brother, who body
-
and so would you walk with the Lord the lot of geez well and happy
-
save content all day. Well you muster to meet with to be free for
-
all you and all the ol, the last nay o ease your own only
-
are to know her sactly bas
