Party for your daughter Dollar number two right, sister of Mariah, what's her
-
middle name, Kate, Sister Mariah, Kate Howell. After the church service,
-
immediately following the altar service, we will gather in there and have a
-
birthday party. It is a first birthday party. If you felt the spirit
-
of God move and as brother Jesse and brother Nathaniel, and brother Samuel,
-
and sister how and sister Hannah saying, would you raise your hand and thank
-
the Lord. I'm so thankful that I could feel the presence of God.
-
If you felt the spirit of God moving in your soul, a sister obeyed
-
the Lord, would you raise your hand and thank the Lord for that.
-
I'm thankful for the way the Lord used her. Concerning our son, brother
-
Philip, our brother Nathaniel Luke, chapter number eighteen, Versus number seven and
-
eight, Brother Jesse, Salm, chapter number eighteen and verse number seventeen.
-
I will forewarn you, I will try to run an eighteenth year in order
-
to get you out there and get your hands on some birthday cake. Sister
-
daughter, I recently discovered the sister daughter of us birthday cake. That's good,
-
so do I all right, Brother Nathaniel Luke chapter number eighteen Versus number
-
seven and eight. Listen, and shall not God avenges on a leg which
-
cried day and night unto him, though he bear along with them. I
-
tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the son of
-
man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth. Brother Jesse saw him
-
Chapter number eighteen, Verse number seventeen. He delivered me from my strong enemy,
-
and from them which hated me, for they were too strong for me.
-
The Salmist is admitting that he had an enemy that was too strong for
-
him. Has anybody ever interacted with somebody that was too strong for them in
-
any way into actually, academically, physically, emotionally. You know that woman
-
you were dating was too strong for you emotionally just too much, Just too
-
much, man, you're just too much. Right. Well, this man
-
had an enemy apparently that was just too much, too strong for him Verse
-
number seventeen. Again, he delivered me from my strong enemy, and from
-
them which hated me, for they were too strong for me. Wow,
-
somebody hated him and somebody was too much for him to handle. Let's stand
-
for the reading of our text. The Bible says in Saw chapter number thirty
-
five and verse number three. Draw out also the spear and stop the way
-
against them that persecute me. Say unto my soul, I am my salvation.
-
That sounds like a desperate plea to me. Let's pray, Heavenly Father,
-
we love and we praise you. I thank you for these wonderful people
-
that's in this building tonight. I think you for the movement of the Holy
-
Ghost that we have already felt. I know God, my frailty and inability
-
to preach behind such a movement of the Holy Ghost. I pray that you
-
would have know at this thy servants and the guard in my mouth, and
-
help me to say the things that you would have me to say, nothing
-
more or less, and north the ears of this thy people, that they
-
not hearing what it is the spirit say it under the churches tonight through this
-
preach word, Ho God to this people. We pray, let these sayings
-
go below the shoulders that are getting that spirit in that soul. I pray
-
also in that mind help us to hear and to heed, and to depart
-
dis place joyfully and not sorrowfully. In Jesus' name, A man, I
-
want to preach a message the Holy Ghost, title problems, question mark,
-
join the club the problems. Join the club. Look at your neighbor and
-
say, hey, neighbor, do you have problems? Join the club.
-
Our text has found in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible, the
-
Book of Psalm. The book is probably the most recognizable book of the entire
-
Divine Library. People of different faiths and religions are acquainted with some of the
-
writings within this book of the Holy Bible. It's the Hebrew songbook. People
-
of all nations have respected the God of the Hebrew people throughout history, and
-
they have respected the songs of the children of Zion. In fact, in
-
Psalm chapter number one, thirty seven and three, we find these words being
-
spoken to God's people during their captivity. It goes like this, For there
-
they that carried us away captain required of us a psalm, and they that
-
wasted us required of us mirths, saying sing us one of the songs of
-
Zion. The jut of Israel had great singers and song writers, just like
-
the Church of today. Have you ever heard more anointed singing than you've heard
-
amongst spirit field and spirit led people. The people of God have always had
-
people in their midst that were super letalented and highly anointed by the spirit of
-
God. Because Nashville will never outdo God. God does not play second fiddle
-
to anyone. And could the church say amen? And so even though the
-
June of Israel had great singers and great song writers, there were certain men
-
that had an ability to pin words and move the hearts of people. We
-
had the Sons of Korah for an example. We had the sons of Asaf,
-
and no other than the Sweet Somist of Israel, David, for examples.
-
These men of God, they put pen to parchment and wrote songs that
-
connected to each one who hurt them. To not, as I'm preaching,
-
I am preaching some lyrics of one of these Somists, name it David,
-
the Sweet Sobists of Israel. Also, at times in your life, during
-
hardships and calamities, or perhaps during times of extreme joy, you have recited
-
some of the lyrics of some of these poems and songs. How many people
-
in this building to not con say that I must testify and boldly proclaim that
-
God's people have always had songs of victory. How many mothers show in their
-
hands would raise your hands and say God's people have always had songs and an
-
emberance. Not every person that serves every God can say that. I feel
-
like God's people knows that God gives them the victories and the deliverances that gives
-
them an opportunity to sing high praises to their God of victory and deliverances.
-
A large portion of these songs were written by King David. I don't know
-
if nearly half of these songs in this Hebrew song that were written by David
-
or not, but I know that a lot of them were. As a
-
preacher for nearly twenty years now, I have preached out of these songs.
-
I've used a lot of the lines of these lyrics of these poems for gold
-
and text. A lot of these songs were written by composers who lived during
-
the sweet somers of Israel's time. I know that there are people in this
-
building that could say you were honored to be able to live during the time
-
of such and such or so, and so you could say that my old
-
granddaddy certainly was one that had a song of victory, that had a song
-
of deliverance, and packed a lot of times we could feel the devil breathing
-
down our nets. You would go on the same the paupa or Grandma.
-
They came into the House of the Lord, and they began to sing a
-
song that was personal to them, but it was ever so sweet. And
-
as they began to sing, we could tell that the heavens took not and
-
that the power of God began to move in our midst as they sing the
-
high praises of their God. I feel like there's people in this building right
-
now who will one day say, I remember those that were seeing the songs
-
of the belt of ho Iness Church and the years of twenty twenty three and
-
twenty twenty four. I will remember how they did it heartily unto the Lord.
-
I will remember those physicians as they played skillfully under God. I will
-
remember those that got in the spirit and say the songs of pictures sweet and
-
the songs of deliberate sweetly. What a time that must have been, too,
-
a been alive in the days of the sweet Somist of Israel. What
-
time it must have been to be able to find your song next to that
-
of King David, to find it in the stacks somewhere are such a great
-
man of tod and what a privilege it is in your lifetime to say I
-
know the likes of this one. I tend church with this one. I
-
hear the preaching of this one. I feel the singing of this one.
-
I'm not talking about listening to the singing. I'm talking about feeling the rear
-
it and feeling the tempo, and feeling the two. Talking about people that
-
are singing to the glory of God nor glory right to know that you be
-
able to tell your children that I lived. It's such a time as this.
-
I know that these people were certainly blessed to be able to say that
-
David was not only their king or their shepherd and their who either nshingly,
-
but he was also someone that would put pen the partsmen there and give them
-
something to sing. Abe, there's someone in this building tonight decide the pastor
-
or the song leader have something to praise the Lord for it. There's somebody
-
bearing nerves to put pin in the paper and talk about the goodness of the
-
Lord for a written page. It's a somebody even right now, writing in
-
a new book, can say I have been privileged to rid a time when
-
there is no prey for the learn of part there is no PREMI and like
-
for the preaching of truth, there is no lack for their marting of God
-
in the bath of Holiness Church. And I wonder who I'm preaching to here
-
tonight? Do you realize you may not always have this? Do you realize
-
what it took for people of this topacity man in this caliper. I'm not
-
talking to myself, but I'm talking to David, the sons of Cora,
-
the sons of a Sad Muriel, their brother Nathaniel and sister we sister head
-
of sister won't coping. So many others say, to your real life,
-
what kind of hell they went true to have the testimony that they have tonight,
-
to your real life their brother Pilla's having them walker through a hill named
-
cancer to come out with they're testimony that you will help. On the on
-
the side, do you like to play talk? What's your breathe in the
-
Earth's such a mother? Pat Some time you want to stop trying and you
-
want to stop doing this cuts the stop praising God because the children of me
-
is room had soon turned out they would not always have David. In fact,
-
whenever you look at this book, you find that we run out of
-
poems, we run out of songs, we run out of chapters the Bible.
-
Students know how many chapters are in the Book of Song one hundred and
-
fifty. But those are not the only poems, are the only songs that
-
have ever been written by God's people? Can I tell you, brother better
-
feeling? It's just the reasonable that they would not hurt. Who wouldn't be
-
a perpet when you're walking to the battery of this title of death to write
-
a song? It would not perfect to write a poem. Somebody not to
-
tell of the churn, Somebody how to tell about the squirm somebody how to
-
recall of hout thankful cop. Surely somebody else in this building was to praise
-
the Lord, besides brother Nathaniel. How the thirty fifth song is open before
-
us tonight, and it is a song of David. As you study the
-
content and the context of the song, you will see that David was in
-
some sort of squirmish. He had grave concern concerning his very life. He's
-
asking for God to plead his cause. He's asking God to strive with him
-
and for him, and the fight of this his adversaria on his behalf.
-
This song is so relatable to us. It appears to me that David is
-
so wildly popular to so many people of every generation because he can relate to
-
the common man and a common woman very well. That was one of the
-
problems that Michael had, the daughter of Saul had. It's because David was
-
willing to get down in the streets with those of the baser sort, those
-
that were more common and their worship God, or come on, as there's
-
somebody in this field and so arrogant and so handy. It's so heart minded
-
that you don't put a high price tag or worship God with sister Route,
-
I'll kill you this. When you go through something, it's bad enough,
-
but you don't want to praise Paba after he gets you out of it.
-
When people get desperate, they please for the Lord. When people get desperate,
-
they pray. So the Sommers might have been great poets and great writers,
-
but they could identify with us. Listen, that person who has little
-
and the one who has much hurts or suffer sometimes too. How many people
-
present tonight have been up against something at some point in your life. I
-
must say that I have been upper distant many times I feel like trials and
-
circumstances and handships that were not requested by me from the Lord have made me
-
and booted me and shaped me into the man that I am today. Dyskeptics
-
tends are represent and the criticizers can call me at But I want you to
-
know, after you've walked to that valley and a shadow of death, you
-
can have an assurance that God is with you and when God show up but
-
you, just like you promised her he would do. We can't help but
-
tell about it. I can't shut up, I can't stop talking about it.
-
I can't sit still. And I don't want anybody to have to go
-
through something in order to learn how to properly plead with the Lord, and
-
to know how to properly pray to the Lord, and to learn how to
-
praise the Lord. How many have found yourself pleading for divine assistance from the
-
Lord. The Howard family has been doing natural a whole lot lately. The
-
Harrison family has been doing natural a whole lot lately. And before the Harrison
-
family was doing it, to the Plat family was doing it. I remember
-
sister Sheryl's daddy and Mama said said after service, pleading with the Lord for
-
the fire assistance. And that's what the sonster is doing here. Look at
-
your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, have you played for the Lord?
-
Re going in your situation? Have been in this field and feel like
-
you havena grown weary and bleeding with the Lord. We've grown kind of tired,
-
yarn out and exhausted. There's not talk told me to tell you you
-
better not clock out. We better not stop us praying. We've gotta not
-
lose the heart. We're gonna podcast from mother day. We're better protest for
-
another night. We're gonna podcast another year. I said, haven't known how
-
to stand. We're gonna stand, and then we better fought alive. Look
-
at our tips. The somers has not lost his desire to pray something.
-
If Pluntreia said, troll out, also the spear and stop the way that
-
gets them that persecute me, saying to my soul, I am love salvation.
-
What the sonist is saying, God knocked the bridge out. What the
-
somist just saying, God, stop him in the tractor, don't let him
-
cross the road, don't let him get to the fortress. Sir, don't
-
let him get through to me. The child of talk man is impenetrable when
-
they power her, don't be in need, and they pray. You are
-
vulnerable when you stop praying. I want to say it again, you are
-
vulnerable man, when you stop praying. That's what tren Jesus more than this
-
disciple stop stop him. Their prayer life may stop him. Hey, the
-
thrall of prayers say better not stop praying. This is what God dealt with
-
me about this afternoon. Somebody in this building is at the point that you
-
don't care to pray or not to pray. I don't care to plead with
-
God. I don't care what's to you. Why worry? You will never
-
have a song to sing, You will never have a story to tell or
-
a poem the right when you stop praying. The reason why David could continue
-
to exist the way that he did, it's because when he got in between
-
a rock and a whole place. According to this, he knew how to
-
pray. How many like to receive a word from the Lord. I know
-
that brother Philip is in the battle of his life. Up to this point
-
has been his greatest battle. You've heard them testify the service tonight of how
-
the Lord has been the lord of the battle and the only reason why he
-
has had some improvement and progressed because the prayers of her a praying church.
-
The sister, you did not know what I was gonna preach on. We
-
are tongues of interpretation as we praised the Lord concerning the good needs and a
-
good report. And God serted this noticer that he is in control. That
-
God also said, don't stop her cry out and don't stop praying. Gonna
-
feel a good forever on my knees. When some young men strutted to the
-
side instead of printing the door, I hell on my knees just because I
-
realized you trying to a mess. This is not okay. Come man,
-
I'm hearing you can pray God that is that he playing. It's not that
-
God wants to play a cat and mouse game with somebody. It's not that
-
God is playing hide and seek. It's about the spirit of submission and a
-
spirit of obedience. The same day, I'm a lid of if you are.
-
It's about saying this is too big for me to handle. How many
-
of you've got problems churin the club? How many we've got problems. The
-
first lady considered you up with some paperworker after the church that I drafted up
-
for, and you can side on the telly line, join the club.
-
Let's name some adversaries of the children of God. Chancelvain A have adversaries to
-
Elijah, those that call him the troubler of hisraw, although he was not
-
the troubler of hisraw. Let's name some more adversaries of the children of God.
-
Debt and poverty due to persecution, not due to laziness. The Bible
-
said that that man who does not provide for that bride that he took a
-
hand and promised to be her provider, is worse than a paint in cadere
-
has departed from their faith. Is there anybody listening to the press there?
-
Debt and poverty, though, has come to widows mia that didn't have the
-
means to provide financial security indefinitely for their bride. I would say that's a
-
formable foe, a formidable foe. I would say, that's an adversary to
-
widows in their widowhood. Debt and our team for that self righteous person right
-
now, this cap of money coming out your ears. The Bible said,
-
there was her, and we know them in the time of the larger some
-
war, in the times of Elisha, and they weren't there without and they
-
were having problems paying their bills. Oh, come on now, I'll tell
-
you what I have to set you and praying they come home Elijah. If
-
they're having chairs a bill, I'm threaten to're taking a love you can't stop
-
praying. I'll tell you part of district and soul we ought to set you
-
to stop praying is in some mount of attack and poverty, something outer your
-
control. The Holy Girl said to not there in tongues an interpretation, Yes,
-
I am in control, letting us know we have lost control of it.
-
That when we've lost control, Jesus has to steering in his head.
-
And Jesus is not worrying, and Jesus it is not fearful at all.
-
This name. Some more adversaries are the children of God, the Philistines and
-
Duncan hinds. Oh yeah, this name. Some more adversaries are the children
-
of God. Back botters and ankle bodies, those little people that are all
-
moutha, all bark and no vita. And then also that will ever stabber
-
their brother in the back, also known as brutus or julius or to you
-
or come on now. The parent person prayers and is trying to figure out
-
how to defeat poverty. And I hope so anyway, sir, I'm gonna
-
say it again. Covering is struggling to make its mean. It's trying to
-
mess up to figure out how to connect the peace. The weighty person amongst
-
us tonight, he's trying to defeat the spirit of greed. The multi talented
-
person. He's trying to remain in a spirit of humility. They're trying to
-
beat paca, the spirit of pride. If you haven't thought you gave anything,
-
maybe by the end of this messense, we're realizer we're gonna need to
-
pray. Our brother read a context to us from Saint Lu's Gospel, the
-
chapter number eighteen, the verses number seven and eight. He did in that
-
chapter the eighteen chapter of Saint Luke's Gospel, you find a parable of a
-
certain judge and a certain widow. And brother Nathaniel had said that this judge
-
that the widow was petitioning incessantly, was an unjust judge who had no fear
-
of God. In other words, He was not like Brother Aaron Wood or
-
Brother Danny Edwardson or Brother Gabriel Value. He was not a God feared man
-
that would be moved to help God's people and naturally have an ir bent to
-
the needs of God's people. This is a godless man. He doesn't care
-
about the feelings of anybody, especially a lovely widow. I'm sure that that
-
church had a lot of enemies. It does not name them, but it
-
did say that the widow had an adversary, and that adversary's doing everything you
-
can do to destroy her life. And that woman did not give up.
-
She did not stop petitioning, that she did not stop pleaying. She did
-
not stop praying. This is a generation thees talk out, Oh God,
-
and the contu to sit there until they not and do nothing. This woman
-
continue to pray, just like the Somastee. Just hod he gonna said to
-
night, you've better pray, ma'am. We wanna pray, sir. She
-
kept coming to the judge. Imagine that unrighteous, unjust judge as he heard
-
from her every day. I'm sure she didn't even get to him every day.
-
Somebody said, your honor, it's the widow again. I ain't got
-
time. After a day or two, somebody said, you really gotta let
-
her come in, and he came in. And I'm not telling anybody this
-
building, the bar, this text and to abuse the county judges. If
-
somebody's done wrong, if somebody's trying to do wrong and get by, and
-
you're trying to get me, you see in mercy, hold them, let
-
them take their punishment. And we're talking about the old woman right here that
-
was insistently being bombarded by her ad was singed, Oh come on now,
-
I know you're tired to die. I'm tired too. Pray for minutes,
-
I'll preach because it I feel the fire in my soul. It seems like
-
the spirit is wearing and trying her to help somebody to night Jesse. She
-
came relientlessly, she came consistently, She came persistently, and she bunboded,
-
going happy. And I'm telling somebody looking for an answer, somebody hoping her
-
to get better. You better not stop praying or not what you get praying
-
about. You better not PLoP us wats he pays across attitude and pause when
-
you ta't not there real time, out of time let's w tak nor the
-
colonel the part you better pray, Brother Nathaniel. She was not bombarding the
-
justice silly things. She was saying, I need I need help. What
-
you saying is I lost control of this. I mean, David historically is
-
one of the greatest kings that Israel's ever had, also one of the greatest
-
world leaders there's ever been, one of the most beloved leaders the world has
-
ever known. And David is admitting that this is out of my control.
-
Things were out of his control when he was a wee lad and a shepherd
-
boy watching over his father's poker, and now as a king, or as
-
a general, or as a political leader, things you're out of his patrol.
-
This woman must admit something is out of my control. So set to
-
set of our control. I'm gonna kick my shoes off and play Xbox.
-
Why should I worry? Why should I fear? I don't want anybody worry.
-
I don't want anybody being fearful. I don't want anybody being anxious.
-
I don't want anybody dreading tomorrow. I don't want anybody dreading the sun rise
-
or the sun going down. I'm not asking you to be fearful that I
-
am telling you that the mow of the story found in the eighteen chapter of
-
Saint Louis costwel iss. You better not lose heart problems chowing the club,
-
You better not lose heart. Better to your mouth that there ever comes a
-
day that your modial the sudden be trying to get out into the world.
-
We better not lose hope. Were better continue. Let's to pray for her.
-
We used to sing the song a lot in the Church of God years
-
ago. What if prayer were have in Jesus? Oh? What needs we
-
have to bear all? Because we do not care? Everything to God in
-
prayer? So how many of you feel like you're up against it again?
-
What's some of the adversaries of the church. I've got so much more here
-
to preached it out. What are some of the adversaries of the church.
-
I'll tell you this apathy? Is it lethargy, just rocking back that spirit
-
that just laws us to sleep? I don't know. My Lord has delayed
-
his coming. I'm not so sure that I can be healed. I'm not
-
so sure that I've submitted my application of candidacy for a healing or for salvation
-
what's the use in me trying who what's the user? And me trying to
-
get a hold of God? Who is the user? And anybody even praying
-
with me? What's the usitarian? Not the author? For the Holy Gulster,
-
I'm dealing with a spirit. Let's say, in this belding a life,
-
who I'm man? You're not praying? Who at man? You're not
-
seeking? Donter, that is not a message in and the Night sent me?
-
How many in the building enjoy receiving a word from the Lord. A
-
dear preacher friend of mine only recently discovered that Brother Philip was sick. No
-
names will be given, Brother Philip, you not disclosed the name of this
-
preacher. I am not one that texts people all over the country telling them
-
my business. But I am one that lets people know to pray, such
-
as the family here at the Bethel ho Ones Church and maybe other people that
-
I know will pray and not play this one particular brother. Word reached him,
-
and news of brother Philips cancer diagnosis and prognosis reached him. And I
-
am not one that calls around wanting to hear from God, because so many
-
people that claim to hear from God, they want to have a word from
-
the Lord for you, and they are so wrong and they give you false
-
hope. But this brother and I was not even talking along these lines.
-
We were talking about construction and other things. And he said, I'm sorry
-
to hear about brother Philip. He said, but I do feel inclined to
-
go to prayer, and I do feel like God has already spoken into my
-
heart as we're talking that there is going to be a word come from the
-
Lord. I'll tell you this. I've been in this thing long enough to
-
know that I can pray until I hear from God myself. I cannot tell
-
you that I got extra excited or disappointed. It won't matter neither here nor
-
there, because I am the father of that young man that I am going
-
to refuse to clock out and to give up. Oh come on, you're
-
not get what I'm telling you. The reason why the Son has gave her
-
these songs have me so much to us. It's because they plan with the
-
Lord until he heard and he answered her, and he came through and they
-
had a testimony. I will stop praying for these needs when they have received
-
healing, and then I will pray it for somebody else. So somebody hears
-
from God in their soul and their prayer clause, and people have yesterday,
-
and I still believe in doing this. You pray until you pray through.
-
Then you're no longer chewing your fingernails off. Then you're no longer wringing your
-
hands with anxiety. Then you're no longer battling with discouragement and depression because God
-
has already told you whether the answer is yes, of knowing you have peace
-
and knowing that you've heard from God. And that's what our text says.
-
In that partiverse of God, I need you to speaker to my soul.
-
Do y'all see it, to say, under my soul, I am thy
-
salvation. That's what that you and it Israel wont to hear God just say
-
you will the liverize, Just say, counts in your hands, and that's
-
where we heart tonight, God said, I'm in control of it. David
-
longing for the Lord to speak directly to him. There's people in this building.
-
You want the Lord to speak to that adversary of poverty, to speak
-
of that adversary of debt, to speak to that adversary of disability, to
-
speak of that adversary of cancer, to speak to that adversary of renal failure,
-
to speak to that adversary of sugari betes, Just speak to that adversary
-
of heart failure, to speak to that adversary of purple abuse by spouse or
-
whatever it is. Have you prayed about it? Have you played with the
-
Lord? Come on, now? Should I stop preaching us? If we
-
keep preaching you, You see, as soon as God speaks him, we
-
are overjoyed because we knew that he was watching, and we knew that he
-
was listening. How many of you know, like the Bible said that the
-
Lord was mindful of the foul of the air. And Matthew talk to number
-
six and mess number twenty five and twenty six. Hello Nathaniel in there for
-
us saying to you, take no thought for your life what she shall eat
-
or what she shall dreat ring. Yet for your body what she shall put
-
on is not the life more than meta and the body raiment. Now listen
-
to this. So Jesus himself said, behold the files on the air,
-
for they so not to neither do they reaper. You're killing the barn.
-
Say yet, your heavenly father, feed them? Are you not much better
-
he than me. I really kill the window. So I want to tell
-
the widower say, I want to tell the neony carriage. And I heard
-
the doult say that Tom knows it about the sphare over his watchful idea is
-
a part of the spharerob and on the whole knows her a watch your pregarements.
-
These words in context are powerful. These words are powerful because they are
-
coming from Jesus himself. If you were coaching me at the church and saying,
-
pastor, howell, it's okay. God's got this all the thank that's
-
nice. I appreciate the sweet words, but I don't even know if you're
-
playing about it. But Jesus is speaking here. He has spent three and
-
a half years of ministry, traveling around with no place to call home,
-
no place of his Lord. Is that self familiar to him, He who
-
is God, God himself, the second part of the Holy Trinity, is
-
reliant on the Father to supply all of his needs. Jehovah Chah is trusted
-
the Lord to meet his needs. The Lord himself assured his followers of that
-
day and up today that God will always supply our needs according to his riches.
-
And glory since the how I've found out every time God out of the
-
child, to our household, God meta to the man. Somebody's thinking birthday
-
cake. I can feel it. This psalm hast had a great need.
-
If it's the basic necessities of life that are needed, or to buy an
-
assistance and protection, our Lord is able to meet the needs. If it's
-
the needs of a widow, I need to be delivered from my adversary.
-
Her petition was avinge me from my adversary. Who is your petition? Help
-
me pay my bill, Help me get rid of this adversary of vager,
-
Help me get rid of this attitude of hatred. Help me to get rid
-
of it. Avenge me of my adversary. I am my own worst enemy.
-
Help me to get rid of this adversary of pride. The devil walked
-
with the mouth as a roar lion. And yes he is our adversary,
-
seeking who be made of power. But some of us are our own adversary.
-
When we have disbelief in our heart, we have a lack of trust,
-
and we are fearful, and we are faithless. How can we depend
-
upon God and be relying upon God when we're fearful. I'm not fearful that
-
God will not take care of brother Philip. I'm confident that God will take
-
care of brother Philip. I'm confident that Sister Howard will be taken care of.
-
I'm confident that you will be taken care of. But it's never appropriate
-
to adopt the victim mentality. It's never appropriate to say flawless need, and
-
it's never appropriate to say now, I'm just gonna lay my head down,
-
left my adversary, chump it up. I'm gonna put such and for a
-
job that pays better. I'm gonna quit praying for something that I help my
-
set you waste to improve. Come on, power Cross find God. If
-
I've been begging you to get a job for six much, you're not saying,
-
let's begin there because you can find one. There's so many of the
-
handicapped girls down there. Goodwill that's working. I know because some of them
-
have even checked me out. Yeah, they've tried to put some of the
-
stuff my wife waning back. Yes, they've got confused, but they are
-
working a job. Come home, now, are you less thing that I
-
know? You're not less than a spare road. Don't bring your sparrow mentality
-
in this building where there is a pentecostal powerhouse of a church and a dog
-
that answers by fight. When I was a lake fishing Friday on Big Bald,
-
even if we ride over the boat, and I said, brother,
-
that's the Miighty Bald, Ego braced us with us presence. He said,
-
I believe it has sparrow mentality. I feel the Holy Ghost right there.
-
The Bible said, and she not God avenge his own and let which cried
-
day and night unto him, though he bear along with him day or night.
-
It's not once a week on Sunday. It's not two or three times
-
a week. It's not a handful of times a year. Look, Jesus
-
was saying concerning this parable of the unjust judgment, Jesus was saying, our
-
Father, he is neither unjust, and he is not unfamiliar with your needs.
-
He is just. He is painful, and he is going to meet
-
your needs. The simist said, I have never been forsaken. He said,
-
I've never seen a righteous person forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.
-
The somers was doing good because he was praying. And Luke Chapter number
-
eighteen Jesus was saying, praying is what's most important. Friend. When you
-
give up on praying, you have lost heart. If Brother Philip could have
-
got that diagnosis and prognosis in this church to set to praying, I don't
-
know that he'd lasted long at home. Even now after good news, we
-
can't stop praying. You don't know what has kept sister Cheryl Harrison alive up
-
to this point has been prayer. Do you know what keeps Sister Dona Fitzer
-
going? It is prayer. Do you know what keeps Pastor Howard preaching righteouster,
-
truth and holiness despite the adversary. I don't have the minister wicked little
-
adversaries that you won't have. I believe, spiritually speaking, I could whip
-
the devils that you deal with with my peaky and one of them would be
-
by just simply working forty hours a week. Come on in laughing now,
-
now, why don't you pipe off that atmosphere in anger and hatred that makes
-
you have a bad attitude? Why don't you drive yourself over there to power
-
for us better? Way you got killing a head on the floor podpast not
-
praying, wick be alaw be alone, the big why fye. I'm not
-
in this to plead with you to pray. I'm not here this to push
-
you to pray. I'm in this to preach to you. You've gotta pray
-
unless Satan with for the adversaries will defeat you. Well, if I had
-
this, and I had that, no creator levels, crator devils, if
-
I had this annoying, I'll be able to have bigger levels bgner devils.
-
If I had this harder love, higher levels, higher devils. That's what
-
them imps of Hell said, asserting and men they were trying to cust the
-
devil out, who are you? Pat Us anyway? The seven sons of
-
Steve? Why who are you? And they try to identify themselves as the
-
seven sons of Steve. Hey, we don't know you, but the devil
-
Steve Paul, and they knew jesuus So and they knew Peter. Then little
-
whipping devils might be pushing in a out. But if you do, my
-
cadd said, and you pray that I was God, can't pure from your
-
office here, I feel an attitude copping right now, cop that and stop
-
that kick yourself right yawl, Come on, man telling you I'm getting a
-
little bit bad right here. Till loo Steve bragging his car comregation that they've
-
paint off that big may A church facility in less than ten years time.
-
He cried like a baby. He might be some folks profit according to so
-
many that I might tend to agree with that. But Brother Jesse, at
-
least he tried his best to pay his bills and to pay off that church.
-
Help God, help me God against my adversaries. Avenge me, God.
-
I can understand you go in the fire forest and praying for two years,
-
God, heal me of this, and heal me of that, and
-
help me with my adversary of debt and poverty. But when you've been telling
-
your pastor you're going on a job interview for two years and you still ain't
-
got a job. You don't want a job. You're trying to deceive me
-
because according to Brother Richard Jacob, you can be hired at about any place
-
in the belt that's be hiring, and lessen two weeks, you're dragging your
-
hide in there and making sure you don't pass assessments tests, making sure your
-
schedule is not open, your availability is limited, and you're hanging yourself before
-
you even get a chance to perform. I know I'm discerning some things right
-
now, and you call that an adversary. You can whip that adversary before
-
even going to care. But if you're doing everything you can and you're working
-
as many hours as you can and you're still having built trouble, I'm not
-
talking about somebody sitting on the reclider, not laking for six to eight weeks
-
and not doing anything inside and sun out, honey, honey out, tiring.
-
We're struggling. I need a pat on the back, brother, thing.
-
I am struggling in preaching found I'm digging a deep pole and I'm tired,
-
and I'm a war out. That is not an adversary. That's called
-
responsibility, but a cancer diagnosis is I'm dealing with an adversary. Avenge me
-
of my adversary. I'm not saying everybody's gonna be living and meeting dollar homes,
-
or driving hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of vehicles, or a big
-
boat poor having so many boats they don't know what to do with. But
-
I am saying that's a rich man, he's got an adversary called pride and
-
greed. The poor person's got an adversary. I don't know what is your
-
problem. I don't know who's your greatest enemy, the devil or your laziness.
-
The Bible set by the pold in the hands, and because of much
-
sloppfulness the build and decare. Do you know why somebody could come by this
-
in say it's well maintained, because every cent of it there's a group of
-
me something hold out. I've been preaching. What you're calling an adversary is
-
nothing. What some of you are calling an adversary, it's a formidable foe.
-
It is a foe, for sure. The devil is a phone,
-
brother, Jonathan, You thinking about the possibility of getting married ten years from
-
now, having a hard time finding a house, having a hard time finding
-
something that's affordable. That doesn't mean people go to him to not offer him
-
your house and rent it two thousand dollars a month. It doesn't mean offering
-
to rent a room in the house for five hundred dollars a month. I'll
-
throw him in my apartment over there. If I have to say, it's
-
hundred of them and it's a hole in the wall, it's aster how and
-
I'll be going to picture as a whole lot more often on Sunday afternoon,
-
Eat crapy cheesy crabbed up black grouper infused the stuffed with crabcake, alfred of
-
sauce, handcuffed fries, green beans, Oh sweet Lamb of God. I
-
mean, you can pour about me all you want to, but brother Jesse,
-
I'm tried by my best to help somebody hit in this building here tonight.
-
I know you've got an adversary. I know you've got problems, but
-
say it with me. Church, join the cloud. Somebody bring me a
-
beach, chaerity. I feel like I have clocked out already and I preached
-
and this morning. And if God has said you didn't do a good job,
-
but I know it's right, and that's all that matters, because God's
-
never told me you've done a good job. Now. Uh, my adversaries,
-
avenge me on my adversaries. I'm the sloughful. It's a miracle if
-
I get the mattress off of my back. Of the moment, man,
-
avenge me on my adversaries. I've got to preach twice on Sunday. God
-
called me to preach what it was me and that be friends and then Pastor
-
Howise said, you mean I gotta stop. I preached for three hours today,
-
told him, you mean I gotta stop. Oh man, that's how
-
my granddaddy or my danthrow was. You mean it's getting dark and I had
-
to stop working. That's all right. Before the sun comes up, I'll
-
be working again. I like the spirit and the attitude that I feel.
-
And please do me a favor that I please. No long talks. Please
-
don't ask me me and questions. Please don't tell me that your puppy dog
-
died. Please don't tell me that your cat's got worms. Please don't tell
-
me that you're don't be able to pay your bills. Let me go in
-
there to my little granddaughters. But if they party, I've been dealing with
-
this for eighteen years, trying to go do
