Poured out - Bro Caleb Roadcap 2-11-2024

They're glad to be in the house of the Lord tonight, thankful the opportunity

to preach. Do this. Our pastor, like always has the absence,

has felt I'm a little love, and we do think the Lord goes it

all for showing up. Already we turned into First Kings chapter seventeen. You

reading a couple of scriptures of from thirteen nine to sixteen. First Kings chapter

seventeen. Why I'll turn it there. If some of this lines up with

what brother jesse bridge last night, all her last Wednesday, all I can

say is that we served the same God. Some of this. I've had

this thought working on me for about a little over a week now. And

then this is also tied to some of what our pastor preach this morning.

We looked there in verse thirteen, chapter seventeen, it says and Elijas said,

under her fear not go and do as though I said, But make

me there of a little cake first and bring it unto me, and after

make for thee and for that son. Thus said the Lord, God of

Israel. The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruise of

oil fail. Until the day that the Lord said his ragin upon the earth,

and she went and did according to the saying of Elijah. And she

and he and her house did eat many days, and the barrel of meal

wasted. Not neither did the cruise of oil fail. According to the word

of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah, we could all pray.

Tonight had liked to preach on the thought that the Lord helping us at all

poured out for an outborn, And this morning Pastor kind of preached the flip

side of what I want to try to get to. Tonight. Pastor talked

about really the peril of the people who weren't poured out to God, they

hadn't given their everything. He taught the ones that said they'd gave everything and

they hadn't what the peril of that, the problems that came because of that

and because of their line. But here in these scriptures we step into this

portion of scripture and were transported to the Kingdom of Israel. And at this

time Ahab is the king of the of the Northern kingdom, that of this

this kingdom that had been divided, And Elijah is the is a prophet here,

and he's already prophesiut about a drought that is to come. And if

I read correctly, this drought that he prophised out about, they've come and

it lasted for three years. Now at the beginning of this after the pronouncement

of the drought, God tells Elijah to go and to take refuge by Cherith.

The brook would provide the water for Elijah. And the Lord had also

commanded ravens that they would bring food to feed him, that these ravens would

sustain him. Now, a couple years back, I was thinking on this

brother road. Cap taught a Sunnay school lesson on the poored out Prophet,

where the poored out preacher was a past appreciation Sunday school lesson, and he

taught from where the apostle Paul had said in Second Corinthians of twelve fifteen,

very I will very gladly spend and be spent for you, though the more

abundantly I love you, the less I beloved. Now hearing this, first

thing I want to draw our attention to is the prophet that is poured out.

Truly, Elijah, what had lived a poured out life. He constantly

poured himself into the ministry. He constantly was being spent of the Lord in

this ministry. He went to different kings. He went to the Higo people.

When he spoke the word of the Lord without fear and without favor,

he lived at twenty four to seven. And he did it because he loved

the Lord and because he loved the Lord's people. When the prophet steps on

our tod was like brother Christian testified about it's because he loves God. He's

knowing what God said for the dude, but he loves us and he's reaching

for us. Elijah went and talked to King A heaven confronted him because ultimately

he loved King A have He loved the children of Israel, and he wanted

to see them turn around and knew what was right. When the Man of

God is poured out, then the God of the Man will pour back into

him. Now, Elijah, and like other preachers and prophets of the Bible

and of today, Paul said that the more I love you, the less

I be loved. The more that they show their love and the messages,

the more that they pull for you, the more that they reach for you,

the more that you know. Elijah had a prophecy about things. It

was the less and lesson that kings would like him out. I'm reminded just

now what that kinga said, is there not a true prophet? And when

he called the one, he said, see he doesn't even speak good things.

He didn't like to hear what that prophet had to say. And our

pastor, like I said, he truly is an example of this nervous after

service. He pours into us, he pour us out, and I'm so

thankful for that. And we're gonna move on here. Also in that in

that part, notice it's the ravens. I was thinking about this and I

I think I read it in Matthew Hening's commentary as well. It could God

could have used a more majestic animal, a more a more appealing animals,

something other than a raven to bring the food. But God most of the

time uses the little things. He knows that he a lot of times who

used the little people. And I'm so thankful for that. So when we

when we tell God that we're not worthy and we question why he's asking us

to do something, just remember the ravens in the Word of God. And

I'm reminded of that sermon that our pastor preached outled in a haven with ravens

allowed to live this port out life. And because that God provided for him,

and God poured back into him. And then when after some time had

passed the driver it starts to take effect and the brook dries up. Now,

this world we are in a decon. We all know that. We

see that, the world in general, and the church world, it's in

a decone. And things, you know, they seem to be drawing up

in places. Oh, but we don't have to stay where things are drying.

And there are many here that are testamentis of that, that you don't

have to stay where things are dried up. And also there's many of us

that are testamentis that if you're just in a dry place in your life,

you can be surrounded by the pools of water by the blessings of God,

but you can still be dry by yourself. You don't have to stay that

way. You can be refreshed in the presence of the Lord. And DoD

spoke to Elijah and told him to go to Arafaf. Is this this village

the city where he commanded a widowed woman to sustain him. Elijah comes to

her, and he asked her for some water. We read that here,

and we read where she goes to fetch you the water. She has no

complaint. Now, mind you, we're in a drought. Elijah's water it's

all dried up. But this woman thout any complaint. We don't read about.

She goes to fetch the water, and I'm sure her, well her

wherever she's getting one from. I'm sure it was drying up as well.

But without complaint, she'll go and she'll do that. But then Elijah goes

one step farther and says, make me a little cake. Yeah. No,

she goes and she says, that's not she has something to say about

it, Elijah, I don't have that much. I just have a little

bit left. She's She had already resigned that her and her son were gonna

eat what they had left and they were gonna die. Maybe that's why she

didn't mind giving them the water. But she figured, I'm gonna die anyways,

I'm about to dry up anyways. She had already decided, she had

already purposed it in her mind that they were gonna die. And her pastor

preached this morning about the possibility of somebody dying spiritually or physically and I can

and can't I say that this woman isn't her son. If if this woman

had not done as the Lord commanded her and her son and affects other people

or her son both and Elijah. This is where God had said Elijah to

be refreshes, where God is in Elijah to be some danger in this family,

this drought. If she would have obey God, I'm sure God would

have provided for the man of God. But these people would have died like

she had already thought she was wanting to. They would have bet they would

have dried up. Oh their last meal. I pray that we would heed

the direction of the prophet, and God forbid, God forbid we eat our

last spiritual meal in the House of God in the in the meth l during

the time of revival. I believe that there are things in our life that

they're like the water. It's we can be drying up. We might be

in a dry place some people listening, or we might be in a dry

place in our life. But we'll still put on a smile, We'll still

raise our hand, we'll still say man from time to time. But though

on God asked her something more, When God's asking me to get out of

your comper zone. That's something I heard Christ all the time when I was

younger, was get out of your comper zone. I finally got to where

I was okay, raising my hand, but I was not. I didn't

like to run. I did not want to run. I didn't want to

lift up my voice. And so the preachers would bump us. They'd say,

get out of your comfort zone. When God asks of something more from

you and he wants you to be obedient, or we get we can get

defensive, and we say, but Lord, it's not enough enough to make

a difference. It's just a little kay, we're gonna die. What what's

the use you know? I can't do such and such. I can't preach,

I can't teach. I can't do this or that. However, this

widow woman, she poured out what she had. She gave all that she

had. She gave the last of that mule, and in return she reaped

and out pouring that the Lord bless and benefited not only herself, but her

son and Elijah. It's said there she went she did according to the sand

of Elijah. She he in her house, did eat many days, and

the barrel mill wasted. Not neither did the cruise of oil feil, according

to the word of the Lord, which she's faid by Elijah. Now,

the widow woman and the ravens were both commanded by God. We read that

in a scripture where they were both commanded by God. And what does God

ask of us? How about our time, I think, pastor here on

our time this morning? Are we sitting aside the time to commute with the

Lord? One thing that I do know for sure is that the Lord has

never asked anything less than all. God has never asked anything less than our

all as children of God, as people of God, as his creation.

He gave it all anyways, and it's our dirty and it's every turn we

must give him all back. Can I say? He will not leave us

without, He will not leave us empty. When we pour out, he

will send the outpouring. He will pour it back into us. We may

not see it immediately. There's been plenty of times where I did what I

thought for sure, and I believe that I knew that God wanted me to

do, and I didn't see it for a while, but he eventually came

back around. God has a perfect time, and he has a perfect plan

in Joel chapter two. This is very familiar with us as well, Verses

twenty eight twenty nine. It says, and this shall come to pass afterward,

that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons

and your daughter shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream, dream, your

young men shall see visions, and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids.

In those days, will I pour out my spirit out. Now for

what I believe to have been ten days, there were many people in the

upper room that were praying. They were pouring out, They were pouring out

of themselves. They were laying aside their own wheels, their own plans,

their own ideas, in order to be in one mind, to be in

one accord. They spent their time in prayerents applications, and they were and

today we are still seeing the results of them pouring out and God pouring in

and grant out war that God did. And I began to think on other

instances where people poured out. I thought of the other widow women that were

very familiar with that her husband had died, and the tax collectors, the

debt collector or the debt collectors, I mean the money lenders. They were

about to take their sons because they were in debt. Her husband died,

he couldn't work. There was no way working to pay that back. But

the prophet Elijah told her what she needed to do. In Second King chapter

four. Then he said, th borrow le vessels abroad of all that papers,

even empty vessels. Borrown out a few. And when thou are come

in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and

shall pour out into all those vessels, And thou shalt set aside that which

is full. So she went from him and shut the door upon her and

upon her sons, and brought the vessels to her, and she poured out.

And it came to pass that when the vessels were full, she said

in her son, bring me a vessel, And he said it to her.

There is no not a vessel more. And the oil stay. And

I say, we've been saying it forever. I feel like it takes simple

obedience, and I believe that the out pouring, it will stay, it

will remain, it will continue with you when you just simply obey. It's

like this. This picture represents the you know, the oil, the what

God blesses you with when you can, when you pour out like best riches

morning. He was talking about those missionaries when we come out and evangelize,

We're pouring out. We're pouring out here all this time. We come back

here and get refilled. I'm feel and we poured out again, and I

will multiply what you have. We see that when we read about the feeding

of the five thousand, it was just a little lad with his lunchbox,

and it was meant only to feed one person. I mean it only to

feed one person. But because he poured out, because he gave awe that

he had, he was able to be blessed. The multitude was blessed by

the outpouring that the miracle of Jesus reported. And then finally coming to this

last character to look out. I thought about Cornelius. I thought about Acts

Chapter ten, verses three and four. It says he saw in a vision,

evidently about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming

in to him and saying to him, Cornelius. And when he looked on

him, he was afraid and said, what is it? Lord? And

He's end to him. Thy prayers and not alms are come up for a

memorial before God. Cornelius, he was faithful and giving of himself. He

was faithful giving alms. He was faithful in making prayers. He served the

Lord, and he gave. We see him pouring out what he had,

and in return he as a gentile, and all those that were with them,

they received the gift of the Holy Ghost. It's because they poured out.

It's because they were pouring into to God and to his work. I

believe, I know God wants to pour into each and every one of us.

But and I know this is nothing to do. But this is what

God has put on my heart. He wants to pour into us. But

we must be poured out of ourselves. We must be empty of ourselves,

and we must be empty into obedience to Him. And Pastor he just quoted

that verse and the sermon recently John three and thirty. He must increase,

but I must decrease. The only way we're gonna get that increase of God,

the outpour God, the blessing of God, is gonna we pour out

of what we have. We like I said, God has never asked anything

the less of his people, than anything less than all of his people.

I heard this analogy and a sermon one time about a vessel that an empty

vessel that need to be poured into, but it had the lid on.

And if you picture with me a teeth picture, a lot of times you

get the lid stays on and it can it's poured out, and you pour

out the teeth of waters, lemonade, whatever you have. But if that

lid stays on, if you keep you if you keep shutting out God,

and you're trying to pour in and eventually run out. And what do you

need to do with that tea pature, Well, you need to wash it,

you need to cleanse it, and needs to rens it every now and

again, but it also needs to be refilled. And whatever is blocking out

the presence of God pouring it in, we need to remove that hindrance.

And we need to let God pour into us. And if you will seal

us so that the dirt and the bugs and whatever else doesn't get in,

that's not supposed to. But then we need to open ourselves up to Him

and let him pour in and refresh us. And I'm not trying to preach

a prosperity message, but I do want to see another wave of go another

wave of reviving. I want to see it greater outpouring of the glory of

God. I'll stand in Luke chapter four. This is Jesus speaking. He

says, I tell you a truth. There were many widows in Isial with

the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six

months, when great famine was throughout all the land. But until none of

them was Elias sin save. And this surrepta a city of side onto a

woman that was a widow. Elijah may have only been sent to one widow

woman in the time of feminine drought, but the outporn of the blessings of

God and the Holy Ghost and salvation disgraces erseeds to all that will receive.

God may be dealing with one person else, something specifically like the widow woman.

He may be blessing a preach or a teacher, attract distributor the supmaker,

whoever that they may in turn bless others. Maybe there's somebody who doesn't

even feel and deal with anything personally or specifically. That God still requires all

from all, and he will pour in as we come to pray. Now

that got three and ten, It sums it up so simply. It tells

us how simple obedience and a simple pouring out, resolving and outpouring of God.

It says, if you will bring all the times into the storehouse that

they're making, be in my house and prove me out here we say it

the Lord of post. If I will not open out up, open you

the windows of heaven and pour you out of blessing, that there shall not

be room enough to receive it. So I say pour it out, they

ill be obedient unto the voice of the Lord. Jeh Lo Lord. After

racing this verse, it says, it's better to fall your mind, and

can I say, it's better that we pour out ourselves than the gods few

us out. Like the Church of Revelations, the Bible speaks the people of

God pouring out the blood and the sacrifice. It's fax of God pouring out

his wrath. But let's make ourselves ready the outborn and the blessings of God

out. I've had it all, birdword, I need his boodh e things,
