Help people again.
-
That they do think.
-
I appreciate being here tonight. I appreciate what he said.
-
Yeah, yeah, good.
-
Anyway, I appreciate what the Lord's doing in my life.
-
Uh, some of the things he's done to me in
-
the past few weeks.
-
And I believe he's gonna do warm yes.
-
Uh, anyway, I believe he is not done with me yet. Right,
-
he'd have done a good work in me, will completely
-
until a day in Christ.
-
Amen. I believe that. So anyway, I'm glad to be
-
here tonight. Uh. He's the Lord. He's a lord sloping
-
or something like that.
-
Anyway, Again, anyway, I'm glad to be here tonight. This
-
is the day the Lord hath made less. Rejoice and
-
be glad in it. I'm thankful for some of the
-
things he's parents, he's answered, and what he's been doing. Anyway,
-
I'm gonna be reading from two portions of Scriptures. I
-
didn't really know what I was gonna preach on tonight
-
till this afternoon.
-
Tell you what happened.
-
I was there, I took a nab. The Lord spoke
-
to me this message. Ah Amen.
-
I remember when I pastor it over and get Brown
-
Hall Sunday mornings. It was nothing for me to have
-
a dream or some here's some voice tell me what
-
to preach that Sunday morning. So you know, I've had
-
different experiences. What experience I'll try getting and the man. First,
-
we're gonna read from Glacious chapter one, and then we'll
-
go to the Acts chapter five. But I just wanna
-
tell a story one Thursday night years ago when I
-
was passion to give Brown Haula.
-
It was amazing what happened. Everything.
-
The Lord literally whispered in my ear everything I had
-
to preach.
-
It was the only time that ever happened. But it
-
did happen. But once again the Lord spoke to me
-
like he did at give Brown Hall. Just remind me
-
of act. You two messages, and then I realized and
-
the which one to do? Glacious chapter one, And I'm
-
gonna be reading only one.
-
Verse for us to stand or do I now persuade
-
them or God?
-
Or do I seek to please men? For if yet?
-
For if I yet please men, I should not be
-
the servant in Christ. I'm gonna read one more time
-
for do I now persuade men or God?
-
Or do I seek to please men? For if I
-
yet please.
-
Men, I should not be the servant of Christ Glatious
-
Chapter five.
-
I'm gonna start it verse twenty.
-
Eight, saying, did we not straightly command you that you
-
should not teach in his name?
-
And behold you fill Jerusalem with your doctor and intend
-
to bring this man's blood upon us.
-
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we
-
ought to obey God rather than man. Verse thirty. The
-
God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom.
-
You have on who he slew and hanged on the tree.
-
Him hath God exalted with his right hand, to be
-
a prince and a savior, for to give repentance to
-
Israel forgiveness of his sin.
-
And we are his witnesses those things, and so also
-
as a holy ghost, whom God hath given us.
-
To them to obey him.
-
And I'm gonna drop down the verse forty to him.
-
They agreed, And when they had called the apostles and
-
beaten them, they command they should not speak in the
-
name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed
-
from the presence of the council, and rejoicing that they
-
were kind of worthy to suffer, for his names were
-
his name and daily and a temple in every house,
-
they cease not to teach and prea Jesus Christ.
-
Back to verse twenty nine, which is my title.
-
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we
-
ought to beg God rather than man.
-
We ought to beg God rather than men.
-
That's my title.
-
That's very heavenly.
-
Father.
-
I thank your father for this message. I thank your
-
father for this time. I can preach your word or
-
ask your father. So annoy id let us to play.
-
Here's to here, touch each and every yard life here tonight.
-
And help us we always realize we ought to beg
-
God rather than men in Jesus' name.
-
Amen.
-
Before I get into the meat of it, I'll just
-
tell a story a ready years ago by the Methodist
-
Creature used to have a column with some Virginia Pate
-
Jever read anything by the league Reverend E. P. Bailey,
-
that's okay, APRONW.
-
Bailey. He used to write some of them, had some
-
of the most interesting sermon illustrations.
-
He passed away in two thousand and five, and it
-
took about a year, but finally in the Northern Virginia
-
Daily after year after his death ceased him, because you know,
-
they had quite a.
-
Few leftovers from him. They never published anyway.
-
Back to him.
-
One time he told the story of a man he
-
just graduated from seminary, and of course he wasn't like us,
-
you know, old time holding us. Of course, I hope
-
he didn't graduate from day of our holdness seminaries, but
-
gray summer goaling, not.
-
The seminaries of some of the people who went there going.
-
I wouldn't be shocked. He took a mountain preacher of church.
-
Believe it or not.
-
I had a country church out in Nowhere's Land, Virginia
-
called gid Brown Hall. When I first start there, we
-
only had one source a week that I moved.
-
Up to two, and finally when I was resigned, we were.
-
Doing three weeks three services a week, Praise the Lord. Anyway,
-
this preacher out fresh as seminary took him Mountain Church
-
and the first service he was there, first Sunday morning,
-
he got up he preached against the sin a gambling.
-
After the end of the church service. Yes, we had
-
this church people who owned race horses and casinos. Woo.
-
They let him know how this pleased.
-
They were, well, you know what he should have exercised
-
Matthew chapter eighteen. A man about you, if a brother
-
trespass against you, to take them, aside.
-
Them and them alone.
-
If they don't hear you, then take two or three witnesses,
-
and mauth of two or three witnesses there were be established.
-
Then bring it before the church and have and let
-
them become as republican and sinner if they don't repent.
-
That was the first Sunday, but he didn't do that.
-
Second Sunday he got up and preached against drunkenness.
-
Guess what.
-
Where people who made wine and liquor in his church? Boy,
-
if I had a church like that, I'd be coming
-
down harder than he ever did. Because after that he
-
found that their anger. Ye, guess what, They better repented
-
or they'll feel God's anger.
-
Third Sunday. Once again, this wasn't a holiness man. I
-
want you to know that. The fourth, the third Sunday,
-
he condemned tobacco.
-
Found out people in this church were were growing tobacco
-
to be chewed and smoked, and they let him know
-
what a horrible preacher he was. It shouldn't matter. He
-
should have stood his ground.
-
But guess what he did. His fourth Sunday, he got up.
-
He waved his arms with all authority, preaching against deep
-
sea fishing outside international waters.
-
You know what, he should stayed to the book, shouldn't he? Amen?
-
He should are condemned alcohol.
-
You should have condemned tobacco, and you should have condemned gambling,
-
because they all.
-
Will take you the same place with pen It'll all
-
take you to hell.
-
But today we are in an hour where it's worse
-
than just somebody graduate from a seminary.
-
Find a world of the congregation. We're in an hour now.
-
Yeah, but we're gonna have to decide. Yeah, do we
-
seek to please men O God?
-
I fear for this hour? I fear for this hour.
-
I fear what's gonna happen the way some churches are
-
preaching it. Now, it sounds like we could almost have
-
to obey every law they put in the book. Now,
-
before I go any further, got input, You get tickets.
-
That's where Roman's thirteen takes care of you. Benner a Bay,
-
is what I'm saying. I've had some tickets in my lifetime.
-
Only one I can honestly say, wasn't that My fault
-
with the rest.
-
Were clearly my fault. Come on, So there are laws
-
we gotta bay. Don't go out there.
-
It says thirty five miles an hour and you're flying
-
down the road of seventy. Amen, I know you to
-
get you for reckless driving, a reckless endangerment, if not
-
both the way some are, and I'll tell you what,
-
you probably deserve both to pardon me.
-
But tonight, I'm not dealing with the speedy walls.
-
I'm not dealing with a county ordinances concerned barking dogs.
-
Oh day, I saw aline a barking cockatoo.
-
If somebody had a coppertoo in a place where they
-
had barking dogs.
-
Ordinances, they could have gotten in trouble. I was still
-
wondering about that. Enough all that anyway, tonight, we're not
-
dealing with things like that. We're dealing with more serious
-
things than that.
-
We're dealing with abortion, we're dealing with homosexuality.
-
We're dealing with a lot of things that we.
-
As Christians four years ago, if we got up and preached,
-
you know, hardly anybody think about passing law making the
-
illegal for us to preach against homosexuality.
-
But they were out there that wanted to be silent, Amen,
-
what do we do in that hour?
-
We ought to obey God rather than me, and we
-
ought to obey God rather than the end tonight.
-
There is a precedent set in the word of God.
-
I know. Sometimes people come up to me about the
-
verses about a wife, obey your husband and the Lord.
-
They say, how about my husband wants me to commit idolatry.
-
You obey God and not a man. That is, you
-
don't commit adultry.
-
Amen. It's called the higher law.
-
Amen.
-
It's like a person who's working at a job, pardon.
-
Me, Maybe I need to deal with these before I
-
get into more serious issues. Your for a company and
-
your boss wants you to steal. They say, you're coworker.
-
That's bad enough.
-
I'm talking about your boss. I've heard it happening. I've
-
heard it happening. I've heard it happen there. They ain't
-
even because when they're going under.
-
Struggling financially and they say, hey, he help us set
-
a fire tonight, we'll get the interest.
-
You don't do that. You don't do that.
-
And by the way, if they want you to burn
-
a beild, you know, my advice would be, after you
-
pray about it.
-
I think you need to call a priest and let
-
them know what's going on.
-
You can disagree, but that's where I stand.
-
Amen.
-
But tonight we ought to obey God rather than man.
-
I don't believe a child hard me for the wible
-
sly do it.
-
The parent wants to do something evil with him the child,
-
I'll say nothing, Amen, And that's me being plied, isn't it.
-
Amen? It's time. Yes, I believe in obeying your parents.
-
Your parents want to either go to church, you go
-
to church with them, right amen.
-
If they don't want you to stick your hand in
-
the cookie jar, we without permission. You don't stick your
-
your hand in the cookie jar without their permission.
-
Come on, come on. I know some may not like that,
-
but hey, I believe it's a scoop, sir.
-
Amen.
-
If they want you to study a.
-
Lesson, you know from their Christian school or homeschool, hopefully.
-
You need to study that lesson and study it. Well,
-
come on. And that's where I stand.
-
But if they want you to do something wrong, God forbid,
-
God forbid.
-
Amen. I believe there's some laws, some lines to draw
-
other l The.
-
Lines are right in this book right here.
-
There are the Holy Bible. Amen, back to where I
-
was hiding.
-
You know, they're trying to make it the harder for
-
us to preach against certain sins they're trying to guess
-
they call a hate crime if we preach against homosexuality.
-
I got news for you. Well, I believe you can
-
hate homosexuals and preach against it. Guess what I believe
-
if you don't preach against it, you do.
-
Love all right.
-
Yes, I don't believe a man.
-
Could be a homosexual, could be saved to be a homosexual.
-
At the same time, I want you to know what
-
I'm ready to say.
-
But God has saved homosexuals, and.
-
Even in the first in the Book of Corinthians, chapter six,
-
Pardon me. I wasn't even planning on reading that. I
-
wasn't even gonna do it. I had another verse I
-
got marked, verse nine and ten. Amen, know you not
-
that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God
-
be not deceived. Neither fornicaters, nor adolters, nor adolters, nor
-
nor abusers of cells of mankind, nor drunks, nor covenants,
-
nor drunkards, nor revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the Kingdom
-
of God, abuser themselves of mankind and of femins.
-
I'm not gonna get on, but the difference. I know
-
what they talk some Bible school, and that's kind of
-
where I stand, right, So I'll leave it there. I
-
don't want children around.
-
Just ratter, not say a lot. But let's go to
-
the next verse. And such were some of you, But
-
you're washed, You're just, you're sanctified, You're justified the name
-
of the Lord Jesus by the spirit of our God,
-
uses themselves as mankind and defendemens right in its first prisons,
-
right in that church.
-
There were some who had been involved in that one time?
-
Or what did Jesus say? And such world? Whether Paul say,
-
such were some of.
-
You such wood, some of you sounds to be like
-
the Lord can take a homosection, make it strange, cause
-
them be adacher. He could take the worst steave and
-
make him honest. One man in particular, I just slipped
-
his name slipped by Yat saved that Billy Graham crusade.
-
Would I believe Billy Graham stood for some.
-
In fact, it was at the.
-
Very crusade where this purst man told his reporters puff
-
Billy Graham could have been.
-
In fact, it probably was his greatest revival. He went
-
down after that. There was one man there.
-
I wish I could remember his name. He was a
-
wire tapper. He would do it for the FBI, he
-
would do it for the police, or he would do
-
it for them. Off.
-
Yeah, just whoever gave him the most money during that
-
time before the.
-
He he did that when he went to that service,
-
he stood up in a trial and lied under oath
-
plus him and cry about who knows how many others.
-
You know that man did. He came to the all
-
got saved and a Billy Graham, who say, guess what
-
happened to him? Right after that? He told him I
-
gotta go back to that court here.
-
And he was still going on.
-
You know, he said he admitted he lied under the
-
road that's called restitution, reconciliation. He had gone to jail.
-
Even better off in prison. They w serving God and
-
carry that lie. Once you lie, you never make it right.
-
He'll follow you the rest of your life.
-
Amen. I'm kind of off the message a little bit,
-
but I'll.
-
Get to it.
-
You know, he did.
-
He's filled the truth the way I understand it he
-
never got. I believe that's an honest judge, at least
-
half honist. Yeah, because I'll tell you why. If I
-
was a judge, I wouldn't be worried about a man
-
who just didknit to me that he lied under the
-
road for once the correctice you knew, who I'd be
-
worried about the ones that lied under the road and
-
never did correct it.
-
WHOA that'd be an honest judge, wouldn't you say?
-
Go after the ones that told the same lie that
-
he did earlier. Those are the ones that deep perjury.
-
Not him.
-
One more thing, this man had a lot of debts.
-
He owed a lot of money. He sold his house
-
and he sold his call to pay off all his debts.
-
I think that's a forgotten doctor, isn't you know?
-
If the Zachs did he went back and pate four
-
oh ss specifically.
-
Anyboy east or by.
-
False accusation woo. He may not have had much left
-
because the other half went to the poor. He had
-
something greater.
-
Than they o.
-
He had God.
-
They had a relationship with them. But tonight, who do
-
we seek to please? Men or God?
-
We have the example where the precedents in the Word
-
of God Daniel.
-
Chapter one, we find out.
-
About Daniel and his three friends Shadrack me Shacking of Bendigo.
-
Mind you, he was the only one that was called
-
by the name of Daniel throughout all of them went
-
by their their uh Babylonian names, m. Shadrack me Shacking
-
of Bendigo. But didn't matter.
-
They may have been given a new name if they
-
never lost their idea. Than you WoT he purpose in
-
his heart?
-
Not that they filed himself with the king's meat, nor
-
that the wine he drank. It's sad to say, a
-
lot of churches now they would probably say, go ahead,
-
drink that wine.
-
Don't you dare right? Don't you dare touch it?
-
They if they say, you're rude because you won't drink
-
at that wine or that beer about you, hey say no,
-
I do not.
-
Touch this stuff. Amen. It's I've been convicted of it
-
years ago.
-
I truly was too, cause they used to call me
-
hippie chippy before I got saved, and I did drink wine.
-
Well let her and uh beer, all of 'em. Thank god?
-
Such was I?
-
Such was I?
-
Can I tell you something that I They wouldn't even
-
touch them be he drank he ates.
-
I believe there's probably pork on there now under the
-
Old test New Testament. And Peter was told what God
-
has plans, don't any man call unclean. That's the injurids
-
of the Gentiles. It's also saying you wanna eat eat
-
pick meat, you're born wealth.
-
Come on, I love paying meat. I don't think they
-
will keep you out. Having one minute might get you
-
there faster a call.
-
Keep guy heaving eat eat pork or sausage or any
-
of that stuff.
-
Amen. Amen?
-
Anyway, so we under the Old New Testament, we can
-
eat those animals.
-
There's some I will not eat, don't eat therapists skunking
-
from me who I will not eat it. And I
-
don't wanna be eating cats or dogs. Amen, I might
-
eat uh uh see, I am wait? What was about
-
eat some ducks if I want them to be raised
-
all the fallger first? Please? But well enough of that tonight.
-
They were not to eat the meat, and even.
-
If it wasn't the more likely the sacrifice to idels,
-
it could have been deef If it was sacrificed to idels,
-
they were not to touch it.
-
Amens. So you know what he refused. All they ate
-
was water and pulps his You know, the Pananam was worried.
-
And they look worse than the others.
-
Guess what the end of ten days, they are fatter
-
and fatter in the flesh then the ones that eat
-
the King's meat.
-
So they never had to touch that.
-
In the chapter three.
-
They were in that still babblue never Cannezer has statue
-
rais and then me and they.
-
Said when the music was played, he was the boy
-
and if he didn't.
-
He burned.
-
And first off, I wanna deal with s uh Daniel's absence. No,
-
I don't believe Daniel Backs lived. I believe Daniel more
-
than likely was in another country during the King's business.
-
It doesn't say, but that's where I stand.
-
I believe he could not have been there for some reason.
-
There's three friends shaggracked me, Shack and the ben to
-
go where they are and guess what.
-
They were reported and they were used to buy right,
-
there's two reasons why I'm going. There's one good reason
-
that you made to you.
-
I'm glad Daniel wasn't there. Have you ever met people well,
-
A certain strong spiritually.
-
Figure was away from them. They backs.
-
My late wife Cindy told me, if a girl used
-
to give her rise to church, this lady as long.
-
As uh as long as uh she was uh in
-
in going to church there not in school.
-
FGBI that lady did well.
-
But the minute she went to Bible school, it wasn't
-
long to that lady accent right.
-
This shows me that they had what they needed.
-
They were all serving God and they were not gonna
-
bow just because Daniel wasn't there.
-
Personally, I believe Daniel was there.
-
He would have stood with him too, But because he wasn't,
-
God's has shown us you don't have to have that
-
strong appreciature with yet, right, You just need to be
-
a strong Christian yourself, no matter how weak you. I
-
think they all stood. They sought to please God, not men.
-
They realized that they bowed, they'd be worshiping another I
-
another God.
-
What did they do?
-
They refuse to bow? The King gave 'em an opportunity.
-
They said, we will not bow.
-
They were not.
-
They were not gonna bow, and they were not afraid
-
to burn either.
-
Right now, For the saddest parts, they were all bound
-
and gagged, thrown in the fire.
-
Read this careful One day the men who.
-
Bound and gagged them would consumed by the fire. You
-
know why I tell that because sometimes people who were
-
in the military are a policeman said, well, I'm doing
-
just what I'm told.
-
Oo.
-
I believe a Christian shouldn't if they ever have to
-
disobey those ahead of them and risk punishment, maybe eatn
-
that you uh, refuse to bow because.
-
The thing that you they will die with the rest.
-
You know what is amazing happened, They would not earn it.
-
All their bonds is the only thing that about burns tonight.
-
Maybe if you refuse to bow, your bonds will be
-
burned a then and then they were singing in the fire,
-
and one thing else, and this is the main thing.
-
Never can.
-
Ezar looked and saw a fourth man in the fire,
-
and he said, looks like the son of God. That's
-
one reason why I like the King James m Some
-
t ursion say the Sun a son of God, or
-
a son of God, or the sons of God a
-
son of God's though it's the son of.
-
A living God, Jesus Christ. He is with him even
-
if they burnt, Just to see them with a son
-
of God. When they good enough, I'll get to that
-
Lord willing. What happened? They let the men go nevertan Nazzar,
-
who had the authority to do it.
-
I did that long.
-
And I don't know how you stand on Daniel form,
-
but I'll tell you what I believe.
-
Because of Daniel, the three Hebrew young men, and that
-
that p that seven years of mental illness, I'm mother camp.
-
Ask me where I think it never can Nazar is now,
-
I'll tell you exactly where I believe. I believe Nevadez's
-
in heaven right now, shouting with David, shouting with Samuel,
-
shouting with Moses, shouting with Abraham. I believe he's there
-
right now, shouting with the New Testament saints. I personally
-
believe that never Canzer God saves. Despite how wicked a
-
man he was in scripture, I belie he's pretty clean
-
on he humbled himself.
-
God his mind back. I believe he served the Lord.
-
I think he was lived one or two years, but
-
that's better of not serving the Lord at all.
-
Amen. Daniel sits the riot was a king. They were
-
down in need of Persia. What happened.
-
As a result, you know, Daniel five, the the kingdom
-
of babbles overthrown, and uh per meed of Persia took over.
-
And Zarias was an outher king. You know what, Daniel
-
was one man. He looked up too highly.
-
One day some of the men who were jealous uh
-
got together and said, they can't find.
-
Any fault Dan. You are they concerned in the law
-
that is God? That is they knew he loved God.
-
He sought to please God, you know, I mean he
-
knew if he's pleased men, he would not be a
-
servant of the little one.
-
You know what's happened.
-
They passed the law for word thirty days, nobody could
-
pray to any God or petition any man other than Zarias.
-
You know, I believe Daniel then when he heard it.
-
I know what some of us would do. We'd go
-
up to our window say well, I don't want everybody to.
-
See me pray, so I'll keep the windows closed today.
-
He would become very Presbyterian in his Pentecostal prayers.
-
No, you know, I believe Daniel did.
-
He opened up the window and he continued being a Pentecostal.
-
I believe he prayed as loud as he could. I
-
believe he socked God with all his heart, and as
-
a result he got arrested. Guess what happened. He was
-
he was brought before the king and they was to
-
throw him in the Dane lines. I always loved this story.
-
You know why.
-
While the riot was upstairs tossing and turning all night,
-
I believe Daniel.
-
Was sleeping on some lines and listening to them, per
-
having a good night's sleep with pleasant dreams, and the
-
and the lies weren't even even entertain the.
-
Thought of eating him. I think he had on a
-
one of the best nights he ever had. I don't
-
believe the fleas he bothered him that night.
-
Next morning, Griss was downstairs offers to hear, said Damne,
-
and there's an exact words that I believe he says
-
something for you.
-
Okay, you either have no.
-
He was very much alive and very well understand it
-
was more complicated to change that law.
-
Guess the way he did. Rand punished to Daniel. He
-
had all those men that passed.
-
Those laws, along with their wives and children, thrown in
-
the lions den.
-
And guess what happened. The consume them. They consume them
-
to not do we seek the cheese man or God?
-
We seek the police man. We now serve them in Christ.
-
We got to the God rather than in.
-
The openings the verse of Gold and Acts, we read
-
how they were arrested and an angel of the Lord
-
opened up the prison and told them to go outside
-
the temple and to preach and teach Jesus.
-
And guess what happened? They were out preaching and.
-
Teaching Jesus, and all of a sudden the Pharisees and
-
other religious leaders were told these a man earning the
-
temple preaching Jesus. Boy, they were upset. I guess what
-
they were also having their sins exposed, hated Jesus they had.
-
Put to death. Peter said, we ought to they God.
-
Yeah, finally a man could not get.
-
Gambalayle got up and told them, with just being a
-
god man, it shall come the past of it be
-
of God. We cannot oversthrow it unless we find ourselves
-
fighting God.
-
They let them go. They beat 'em.
-
I like what happened, and asks for when they got
-
beaten and and UH persecuted for healing that man.
-
They came back and had a prayer meeting.
-
I think they were kind of fell a little.
-
Horse whipt guess what they left, rejoicing that they were
-
town worthy right, the suffer for Christ's sake. Now I'm
-
preaching mainly. Sounds like a very positive message. If you
-
serve God, they're not gonna kill you.
-
That's not always true.
-
In fact, I think it happens more often the other way.
-
Acts seven, Ract six Stephen was arrested. Act seven. He
-
gave his uh testimony about his experience of God and
-
about and trying to put the Old Testament prophecies together
-
show that Jesus is indeed the Messiah.
-
Guess what? They didn't like that? So you know what
-
they did, He.
-
Said, Verse fifty one, He stiff necked and uncircumcised heart
-
and ears. You do always resist the Holy ghost as
-
your fathers? So do Which are the prophets? Have you
-
not your father's persecute?
-
You've slain them, showed before of the coming of the
-
little just one of who he hasn't been now the
-
betrayers and burghers who has.
-
Received the law by this position of angels have not
-
kept it. When they heard these things, they never cut
-
the heart. They gnashed on him with their teeth. The
-
he being full of the holy ghosts, looked steadfastly in
-
the heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing.
-
On the right hand of God. Amen, doesn't say he
-
sat the right hand of God. We he went back
-
to heaven.
-
Now he's standing Chiproy's commentary. I don't know about a
-
person who doesn't die.
-
I'm martyred.
-
I like to think that Jesus will meet him personally,
-
So don't worry about that.
-
That's neither here nor there. Amen.
-
But when you die, martyr, guess what I believe. I
-
believe you God guaranteed that the Lord will be standing there.
-
And waiting to shake your hand.
-
Yes, I believe he'll shake the hands of other saints
-
and say, well done, thou good and faithful servant. There's
-
something special about the martyrs. Before what I see, the
-
heavens open, the son of Man is standing on.
-
The right and the God.
-
They cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears,
-
ran upon him with one accord, and cast him out
-
of the city and stoned him. And the witness has
-
laid down there close at the young man's feet, whose
-
name was Sam. They stole Stephen, calling upon God and saying,
-
Lord Jesus received my spirit he kneel down.
-
And cry with a loud.
-
Voice, Lord, lay out this sin to their charge. And
-
then and when he they had said this, he fell asleep.
-
And even I seek to please men of God. He
-
suffered for the sake of Christ.
-
And what did the Lord do? Took you by the hands, and.
-
Well that.
-
He even forgave the man who were stolen again. I
-
don't know about all the men, but.
-
There was one man they named Saul, Verse one of
-
chapter eight. Saul was con sing under his death.
-
At the same time there.
-
Was a great persecution against the Church which was at Jerusalem,
-
and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of
-
Judea and Samaria. Accept the apostles.
-
We guests who the main man that was due to
-
the persecution saw Tharsis. I don't know what happens. And
-
the rest of the men who were about Stone and
-
Steve and then can sing under his death.
-
By the way, I don't believe it was just saw
-
there really just shaking his head, nodded that what they're
-
doing is okay. I believe Saul was part of the
-
san Ebre and he approved that. Probably one of the
-
name was who said put this man to death. So
-
his nod wasn't just a nod of mere consensual agreement.
-
He his nod was killed. That was what his approval was.
-
I'll tell you, Saul was a wicked name, done a
-
lot of persecuting. Guess what. I believe every time he
-
had a Christian executed, he would be reminded of Stephen.
-
Say what did they not just did their charge? I
-
wonder how many of the Christians he had put to
-
death said Father, forgive. I wonder how many said at.
-
At Paul on the Lord and ask the Lord to
-
forgive that wicked man sawl I believe quite a few did,
-
and he was being hollered. I believe if what happened,
-
if he never done what he did Acts nine, he
-
woulda died and went to Hell on it. And guess
-
what happened to Aks nine. Jesus appeared to that man.
-
I believe Stephen denied the Lord. He would have never
-
seen this. I believe any Christians had denied the Lord.
-
He was executing, he had never seen it. But because
-
they stood true, the Lord appeared to take him.
-
He fell to the ground, was blinded, and the Lord
-
said him saw saw why persecutes thou me it is
-
hard for thee to kick against the prince.
-
Or because the men sought to please God rather than me.
-
You know what happened.
-
Saul got saved it and three days later he got
-
a sight back in the hole Agos. And guess what
-
happened is Saul he start going by his Roman name Paul.
-
I've always been amazed he was both a Jew and
-
a Roman citizen all by Burt.
-
What did Saul do? He went out preach the Gospel.
-
He went out suffered much for his sake of Christ.
-
Because and he's the one that wrote that verse, Who
-
do I seek to please men or God?
-
Or if I yet please men, I should not be
-
the servant of Christ. Saul was a was now on
-
fire for the Lord.
-
He wrote, I believe the majority the New Testament, and
-
I'm gonna add something to you can disagree that I
-
believe he wrote Hebrews either. I'll tell you why, because
-
he was a Hebrew and he understood the Hebrew law
-
probably better than even anybody else in the church in
-
that day.
-
I would say that is definite. So he knew what
-
he was writing when he wrote Hebrews.
-
Glatious abisions Romans first and second Corinthians, Philippians, Clautians, first Timothy,
-
second Timothy Titus, and first and second Thessaians.
-
And teleman I believes Saul, now Paul was a great
-
man of God. Castine chase the sort of God better.
-
Than the end. They say, back in the early first century,
-
when they would be throwing Christians into the lions den.
-
And are burning them at states, they said it was
-
nothing for men and women. And in the in those
-
colosseums of those days, when they saw how passionate the
-
Christians were being willing to lay down their life, and
-
guess what happened, Yeah, turned to the world. Yeah, right
-
in the colosseums tonight, we're gonna seek the pleasing men
-
of God. If they tell us preachers, you gotta preach,
-
you got have to perform homosexual marriages wor'll take your
-
ordination and forbid you to preach.
-
Guess what we need to get and say, I don't
-
even do the marriages of people who.
-
Are divorced with a living husband or a living wife.
-
Can add something else. I've had opportunities to do weddings.
-
Guess how me I've done.
-
Zero. You know why, because the first question.
-
I always ask you have have you been divorced and
-
is your husband or wife still living?
-
Yes? What, that's why I've never done a wedding yet.
-
If I die without doing a wedding, that's okay. If
-
I won't do that a divorce, See, I'm definitely not
-
gonna do that.
-
Have a homosexual I'm not gonna do a Baptist Pentecostal wedding.
-
Woo, brother Roy, Yes you heard me, Or a Methodist
-
and Pentecostal, or a or a cares Back and an old.
-
Time Holdingess Pentecostal or an Episcopalian a Pentecostal. I'm definitely
-
not gonna do a homosexual marriage. In fact, I like
-
what one preacher told me. He one time was gonna
-
do a wedding for two people in this church, both
-
all time holdingess people.
-
Yes, what.
-
The lords start to speak to the end, there's something
-
not right there. He went to the parents, and I
-
think it was a girl said listen, I can't do this.
-
Something is not right here. Something's not right, all outward standards,
-
all outward appearances. Nothing was wrong.
-
He said, God he knows that is revealing it to
-
the past. Well, they put pressure on and he did
-
anyway lay wrong, they think, they think worst. Later on
-
that parent came up to him.
-
Sometimes you just got to say.
-
No cause the word speaking to you.
-
And then just because you're the same faith and everything
-
looks good, guess.
-
I appreciated myself. Honor doesn't mean it's always wrong Tonight.
-
We all seek to please mean, I mean please God,
-
not mean, but you got to please. Uh, I don't know,
-
I don't see me tonight it's time for us to
-
forget our selves. It's not the fire our sils.
-
To to stay.
-
Against the sins of America. People say whether by born
-
sheet knew if I was clear on Luke in his
-
writings when he's yup with a a baby.
-
Leaping in John the Baptist sleeping in the woman, he
-
had the exact.
-
Same Greek word for that unborn child that he would
-
have for a born child.
-
Woo. Now he was under the Holy ghost annoying. I'm
-
not saying he wasn't.
-
But Luke would know.
-
He was a physician, right right, he knew there was
-
no difference in God's eyes between an unborn child or
-
a born child.
-
In my main verse to Nights.
-
I hadn't ready to read Proverbs chapter six, sixteen through nineteen.
-
These six things do if the Lord hate. Now, before
-
I go any further, I want to say something. This
-
is not the seven deadly sins that proke Gregory the
-
Great put together.
-
That's not it.
-
And this is not just a list of six or
-
seven deadly sins. I will explain it to you.
-
Yeay, seven are an abomination under him. I'll go ahead
-
and explain it now. These six things actually lead to
-
the seventh. A proud look, a lying tongue, well, you know,
-
a lying tongue would lead to sow and discord amongst brethren. Amen,
-
and hands of shed innocent blood, heart to devise of
-
wicked imaginations, feet that be swift and running the mischief.
-
A false witness is speak of lies, and he had
-
so if discord amongst the brethren, you know, I know
-
there's more truth than than just just the unborn hands
-
and shed innocent blood. I believe when they stone Stephen,
-
they were guilty of hands and shed innocent blood. When
-
Isaiah was sold in half, I believe that as those
-
hands shed innocent blood.
-
But what could be more.
-
Innocent than a unborn child who's never committed a single sin?
-
Who's never told a lie said to say, uh, most
-
of all of us have sinned somewhere along the line.
-
The other reason we're innocent is through the blood of
-
Jesus Christ.
-
No other way.
-
Amen, Hands and shed innocent blood. There's no more innocent
-
blood then born child.
-
And yes, I think things are improving.
-
That does so discord amongst brethren. Look what's happening here
-
in America. America is divided because of hands and shed
-
inn it's a blood. America's divide because of heart, the
-
device of wicked imaginations like homosexual marriages in.
-
That horrible sin, I just rare enough.
-
I'll just say the tea crowd of the LGBT community, Amen,
-
I don't even like talking about that one. For the
-
child children's sake, the sad younger kids and their kids here,
-
the rands are suffering because of those people. It sounds
-
like they could be very well be and as a
-
shed with innocent blood as well as a heart. The
-
divisive wicked imaginations.
-
Can't hold by in the area.
-
You say, old brother Roy, and I guess the pro
-
life people, the people preaching morals, need to shut up wrong.
-
According to the Bible, here the abortionists are on the
-
wrong side right according to the Bible, those who uh
-
are advocate homosexual marriages and worse right are on the
-
wrong side. They're on the devil's side of God's side.
-
There should not even be things like that discussed in America.
-
The people involved in should be back in the back
-
of the most back of back alleys.
-
But tonight I'm against back alley abortionists. I'm just saying
-
that tonight. You know we're about ready. You don't know
-
when persecutions comes into church.
-
I heard about several years ago man, cause he preached
-
against spanking children.
-
A judge ordered him not to preach anymore.
-
You know how I wanted to, Brother, I.
-
Got back up in my full pet and preached right
-
at judge. You never called me.
-
No politicians called me, No President, prime minister, no Senator
-
DoD Olmighty has called me if they tell me I
-
can't preach anymore because of my stands to not.
-
You know, preach anyway. Amen, you need to be ready.
-
I don't know what's gonna happen next.
-
We need to be prayed up to studying up. We
-
need to listen to messages like this. How many people
-
have heard messages like this, there's some people are having
-
or some people having you. I was once again, it's
-
back to Romans thirteen. If you're doing seventy and a
-
thirty five zone, you see that blue light pour over,
-
get yourself a good attorney. I'm serious. I'm very serious,
-
because amen, when I had a reckless driving charge on me,
-
when I hit that nail trap, I had again an attorney.
-
Thank god. Did he said how much did you pay?
-
Eight hundred dollars? You're all saying, oh, that's expensive. No
-
it's not, No, it's not.
-
That's a good price for an attorney, especially when he
-
was considered a first attorney in the Winchester Frederick County
-
area of virgin.
-
Yeah, no joke.
-
But tonight I got on the term you he.
-
Need he spoke to the judge, and the judge reducing
-
my si my crime. I don't know if it's really
-
what I called from reckless driving to improper driving. So
-
I didn't have to pay year as much of fine,
-
just had to pay a fine and court costs.
-
Then you had to miss demeanor all my record just
-
a minor advance. Tonight you need a big God right
-
me in, So don't come out and get left and
-
till I said.
-
So, I'm saying no, tonight, it's time for us to
-
stand for worth A bottle says he need.
-
It's somebody go come up and get some music. I'm
-
on giving all a call. I know my main aller
-
called be for the church. But there's somebody needs to
-
be saved tonight. I think it's good. Now's a good time.
-
Let me tell you we need more people the Lord's army,
-
don't We need some people who are not saved to
-
get born again, repent of their sin and turn.
-
To Jesus and follow him. Amen. Yeah, you have to
-
seek to please God and not man.
-
So tonight if.
-
You're not saved, that tonight be the night. Yeah.
-
If you don't know Jesus, or if you do know Jesus,
-
to miss yourself once again, you know they him no
-
matter what the law said. There's many Christians in China
-
suffer persecution. There's many Christians over in places like Iran.
-
I understand there's some people over who were born in
-
a Christian church most of us.
-
Sad to say, in the Orthodox Church, and they may
-
not really be saved.
-
But I've heard of this people getting saved and leaving
-
the Orthodox Church, and they didn't do a thing to him.
-
But when they went with the Assembly of God, like
-
a brother Height did. I never forget met.
-
Him personally over forty years ago, brother Hip. He done
-
the unpartful sin over Iran.
-
Regards what you think of her the hif.
-
I'll just say it there, I knew he did.
-
He got a man that was one time a Muslim
-
or God saved our prison. Knew what the reigning government
-
didn't approve what Height did. One morning they followed him.
-
I think he was going to the airport.
-
He was followed by some radical terrorist muscles. You know
-
what they did.
-
Intact Hike and cool mals Van. I don't know exactly
-
what they did to murder him, but they burned him,
-
making him harder Hike for days he was missing. Finally,
-
at the end of so many days, they found his
-
body in an unmarked rade and a Muslim cemetery in Iran.
-
And guess what, his family and him buried in the
-
Christian cemetery.
-
Thank God.
-
Don't get me wrong.
-
If the rapture happened, he was still on that Muslim cemetery.
-
Guess what that'd been. One of the few graves at
-
the rapture. Well, it's pre poster me, and I think
-
everybody knows where I stand, but regards which.
-
It will seem one at least one grave, probably, i'd
-
say about the my back up, I don't know.
-
I don't want to.
-
I just moved to a Christian ray. I think that's
-
what he will want tonight. Some countries Saudi Arabia gets saved.
-
This ons with the head.
-
We have not had the persecution like the others. I
-
still like what Jack Chick does in one of his tracks.
-
He has a rapture happening just as a Christian is ready.
-
To have his head cut off.
-
They swung the sword and.
-
Guess what happened. A body disappeared right before their eyes.
-
I believe that's gonna happen. He been like I say,
-
regard to which one since the night, Let's be ready,
-
Let's be ready, that's all come of bread, seek all
-
the innercens
