It's Not Self-Talk, It's Spirit Talk - Bro Jeremy Howell 4-20-2025

Of Romans, Man, direct your attention to the eighth chapter.

In the sixteenth verse, parents, I understand these children are

coming off of those sugar highs. I understand I saw

so much candy being passed around this place today and

being devoured by these little children.

I prayed God that it would be spirit talking, not

self talk.

Unknowing the hears of this thy people, that they.

Might hear what the Spirit of God says, and that.

They would be doers of what they have heard.

Would give you the praise and the honor and the glory,

and the church says in Jesus' name. Hey man, looking

at Romans chapter number eight, let's read verse number sixteen.

Many years ago, the Lord drew our First Lady's sister

period of seeking the deeper experience that Sister Howell has

And so, while pursuing the in dwelling of the Holy Ghost,

the Holy Ghost himself made a special visit into Sister.

And you, holiness of people, you holiness of Pentecostal people,

you are very much aware of what we mean by

a prayer clause. It it's that place that a person

ventures to and gets in solitude with the Lord and

their spirit, commutes with.

The Holy Ghost and with their Lord. And so wow.

She was in this period of prayer seeking God earnestly

and diligently beseeching him for the dwelling of that third

person of the Godhead. She felt a tiny tug on

the door of her heart, and she recognized it finally

that that heavenly messenger was none other than the good,

sweet Holy Ghost. And she listened carefully as she was praying,

and the Holy Ghost kept speaking and simple and short sentences,

repeatedly read Romans chapter number eight, and after recognizing the

voice of the Holy Ghost, acknowledging him, and receiving the

message of the Holy Ghost, she began to do what

the spirit of God had told her to do. A

lot of people had a problem with doing the things that.

They've heard from the Heavenly Father.

There's a lot of people in this building tonight that

have perceived the gift of the Holy Ghost, and your

testimony has been this. I find that understood what it

was God was wanted me to do. And after I

gave the understanding of knowing what it was I was

to do, I did it. And you have said, immediately

after I did what God had told me to do,

I was possessed by the Sweet Holy Ghost. I wonder where, sister,

how it would be spiritually tonight if she had.

Not have done what the Holy.

Ghost had asked or required of.

Her to do.

I would have been less just knowing that parently, my

prayer partner had showed up. But you know what, it's

one dan here, it's another aimed to hear and to do.

And so she made her way into the living room.

She took out her copy of the Bible, and for

several days she read the eighth chapter of the Book

of Romans over and over again.

She was a wife, and she did not neglect her

household chores or her household as fusibilities, nor did she

overlook the state of affairs concerning our overall well being.

There were no children that were not being nurtured. She

was still a woman of excellence. But she had received

instruction from the Lord. Heaven had sent a messenger, And

in Heaven's messenger's hand was a letter from Heaven for

sister Howell.

I want you to know, any time the Spirit of God.

That heavenly messengers showed out with a message, he has

owned a mission.

And having been in church now for half a century,

for nearly fifty years.

I've figured out that God all ways speaks in simple

and short centences. When it comes to offering insight and

instruction to his people. If he has anything else to

say the people, they can find what he had to

say to them in the sixty six Love Letters. But

when people are seeking him concerning spiritual things and spiritual gifts,

Sister howl And I can tell you that God speaks

in simple and short sentences.

Sister Charity, min howel the hole of your sin?

Read the eighth chapter of Romans until you off field

seeds sometimes that they don't understand that it really is

as simple as this. You just do whatever it was

a speaker of truth and righteousness, spoke, and the king said,

why is it he always has.

Well, this generation they can hear from heaven to a

sermon that specifically addressed and directed to them.

believe and they stand for, and what they die for

is found.

Right here in the eighth chapter of the Book of Romans.

Great minds like Matthew Henry, other great minds like Charles Spurgeon.

They felt like this was perhaps the most significant chapter

in all all of the New Testament, the eighth chapter

of the Book of Roland's folks, I want you to

know that sister Howell has never been an avid book reader.

She does not know anything about the names of the

individuals that I've mentioned from time to time while I'm preaching.

She doesn't know who is a Theolonian or not.

She doesn't know the difference between Charles Spurgeon or Barney Piffe.

because I've told her a little bit about them. She

does not know of the writings of Matthew Henry. The

woman has never even looked inside of his commentary. I've

owed his commentary since I've been a young Christian. She

had no idea of what these great minds within Christenom

had come to such a conclusion as.

But I want you to know the Holy Ghost that gave.

Instruction and inside to break minds great preachers and great

teachers and great prophets, is the same holy ghost that

can speak into the heart of a mother that has

set aside her glossing of dishes to go into her

prayer clause and say, God, more than anything, I need

the Holy Ghost to be a good wife.

More than anything, I need the Holy Ghost to be

a good mother. And in her prayer clauset and all

knowing God.

Couldn't leak her with a mindset of great delusions and

Bible scholars and bring her to an.

Understanding of the importance of the a chapter ho the

As a pastor, have come to understand just how important

this chapter is.

It has been important to Christians.

To the ages of time, and the truth is only

a handful of people after the service tonight, will you

I prayed through.

And if you will do what God says, do you

what sister Healed and Sister Smith and brother Gabriel does.

Not everybody would drive an hour to church in order

to be where God sent them. But I want you

upper room. They receive instructions.

Of the Lord. It was said, you tarry in the

I want you to know I said it many times tonight.

It's hard to homeschool the kids. Then pretty soon they're

up for a pastory.

I want you to know that is health talk. I said,

that is self talk.

But if you're Abraham or Damn your and and I,

Ezra or Misha, and and you hear from God, you

will go the extra money.

You do what God said, do until.

God.

I don't feel a lot of preaching. Don't be nervous

for me. If I drop dead right now, God can

raise me up.

Don't hold back old me just because you're concerned about

my health.

By people that are quick to speak and slow to hear,

by people that are to say, I believe God speaking

to me. It's a wonderful thing to be able to

say that the Holy Ghost has been speaking to you,

and that the dots are being connected and the Spirit

of God is leading you. For the past two or

three years, the Holy Ghost has been speaking to several.

People over and over and over again.

Perhaps they didn't recognize it at first, but now everyone,

little boy, he understood that God speaks in simple, short sentences.

But every time I prayed, God would say, no, I

don't get out too much because my responsibility, my dedication,

of my commitment is to this people. You get to

run it off too much, you forget where your burden's at,

you forget where your responsibility is at, and before you

know it, it's been self talk and not spirit.

Talk, and you're pastoring the wrong church.

But I pray about that just and every time God

would just say no. He would never tell me why.

And that man had the mindset of that one that

haggled with the unjust judge, and he had finally just

about persuading me to go. He promised me security. I said, well,

to be honest with you, none of that really concerns me.

I've never asked for that anyway. He said, we'll protect you.

I said, I'm not really concerned about protection. I'm willing

to know of a mission field. Every time I sail

across the Great Ocean Boom, I understand that I.

May not come home.

I'm not worried about nothing. I'm not navigated by fear.

Fear doesn't provide me direction I need to hear from God.

And I had finally just about gave way to that,

and I said, what's it gonna hurt just to go?

For two or three days, I started making arrangements and

I'm prayed, and I said, God, I.

Know you're telling me.

No, I just want to make sure it's not self talk.

I want to make sure it's spirit talk.

And I shouldn't have done that.

And so I had just talked up the text to

tell the brother, let's go, what a beautiful work could

be done in hate tea. I know there's good, clean, living, holiness,

righteous people doing a wonderful work and hate t but

it wasn't my work of it, didn't it. And so

one particular service, I walked in with my ears wide

open and I said, God, I need you to help

a sermon specific for me, because I doubt the preacher

even had my best interest in mine. There was no

body giving out tones.

And interpretation that I had confidence in.

I had found that many places in the last thirty

years there was no strong spirit of prophecy or no

clear understanding of direct of being given through preaching of

He approached me and he looked at me, and I

could tell the Holy gist came on him. Then he said,

that I didn't go home and say, oh, he's just

an old holiness preacher. It's just self talk and he's

he fears and what he doesn't, but I know he

What else can be done?

Because there's a lot of you.

You're where you're at simply because God spoke directly to

you and your heart. When some of these brothers and

sisters made their first appearance here, they had been called

they weren't coherst, they weren't coach. They had received counselor

they had heard from God and sins to howl, while

don't just do what God told them to do.
