The book of Second Chronicles, Man, direct your attention to

the thirty fourth chapter and the third and fourth versus.

How many of you are thankful that God is mindful

of us? Oh, I'm full of gratefulness and gratitude because

of His mindfulness of us. I'm not plans on preaching

a different message tonight than what.

I will be preaching.

It was early this afternoon God spoke a title into

my heart, and this text Second Chronicles, chapter number thirty

four and verses number three and four will serve as

our golden text. And the title that was spoken into

my heart, Brother Nathaniel is Satan bite the dust. Satan

bite the dust. And Brother Aaron Wood just confirmed tonight's message.

I was beside myself, excited and elated for the confirmation.

And how many of you felt the presence of God

This metaphor of licking dust is indicative of their total defeat.

When we speak of biting the dust, we speak of

someone's failure.

Of something that ends, and failure to die, to be

Our text is found in an Old Testament book of

the Holy Bible, the Book of Second Chronicles.

This particular book of the.

Bible sheds light on the events that unfolded within the

nation of Judah during the lifetime of Solomon, David's successor.

A lot of you will recall that David knew very

well that God had his hand upon the life of Solomon, literally,

since he was an in. God's stamp of approval was

upon this man of Solomon.

At one point we find where there.

Was someone trying to usurp the authority of Solomon, and

they attempted to ascend to the throne in his place.

A half brother dared to do such a thing, and

whenever that began to take place, a feeble and agent David.

He summons the very preacher that was probably around his

same age, and Nathan and another priest. He brought prophet

and priest, Nathan and a priest into his company, and

he spoke to them and said, Nathan, I want you

to see to it that my son Solomon becomes.

That same preacher that walked that day into the courtroom,

David set upon the throne. Nathan, the one who put

up on a finger in the face of David and

said thal art the man. Unlike so many other kings

of Israel and Judah, David did not take the life

of Nathan. He respected the words of the preacher man,

and he repented, and he prayed through and God washed

him clean.

Spiritually speaking, he was.

Restored and renewed because of this open rebuke that he

received by Nathan.

How many of you know the Bible said.

Open rebuke is better than secret love. And so when

David got into a crisis in the kingdom, when he

was in a pitch, he summons, Nathan, how many of

you have seen somebody do something of this nature when

they were young. A parent or someone in a position

or place of authority.

Went to them and rebuked them.

Only to find that person respect them all the more

had to hold them in high esteem, as Brother Samuel

held his mother.

In high esteem. Tonight, no doubt.

There's been times that Sister Howell has spoke words of

correction and instruction into the ears of brother Samuel, and

he has proven to me a wise son.

We will remember that Solomon's father and mother spoke to

him as well concerning words of wisdom.

David would take him aside and say.

God has forbidden me from doing what I desire most,

God will not allow me to build a temple of

worship for His holy name.

But you, son are not my pick, but you are

God's pick to do this fairy thing.

And as we read this book of Second Chronicles, we

see that Solomon took the task quite seriously. This book

is full of information of him building the temple. In fact,

there were three chapters that I thought through, and I

noticed a lot of that contained information about the.

Construction of the temple.

David had plans for his son because God had some

mighty big plans for his descendants.

And I feel like tonight that God has some mighty.

Big plans for the Bethel Holiness Church. And what we

need to do is keep the serpent out of the

Bethel Holiness. How many of you have witnessed throughout the years.

That serpent come sliding in through double glass doors and

slipping up in a pew and sitting next to somebody.

It's not all ways a gnarly wolf.

That sits in the pew.

Sometimes it is a subtle serpent that sits nestled securely

in the church house. David knew that if Solomon was

not careful, that old serpent.

As we read Second Chronicles, we.

See that eventually there was another descendant of David, king Josiah,

ascending to the throne, and there had been some division

within the nation of Israel.

You know how to forget what God said and forget.

God by getting rid of the law books, by taking

heard holiness of Pentecostal preachers, and I'm not against them,

they rely on some illustrations, it may or may not

preaching on sanctification and separation, I've already sat in a

little while ago. Our coworkers and our family members, our friends,

and our phones are not the serpents, and they are

not our number one nemesis, nor are they the number

one adversaries of our soul.

They are not altogether totally responsible.

But with calls, the vittom of the serpent is coursing

through their veins.

Right now how long to hear crickets preaching that crickets
