And then I go with your pastor wasn't for my wife?
-
Uh?
-
Or what I did? Uh? I'd of heard my wife
-
as three teens there's a certain chair. She praised it.
-
And if I'm ever sick, if I ever feel.
-
Sick, I'm getting hurting it because I.
-
Believe God hears an answers. I remember several several years
-
ago now were where we're still in the church.
-
Ever we're at, we were attempted and God temping, h brother,
-
how I echoed with my wife said to day I
-
was just as a moment ago that.
-
We didn't come for any of that. And I'm so thankful.
-
I k and uh It's just been miracle after miracle
-
what God was done. But I can remember we was
-
living in the little double white trailer behind the church.
-
It was rough for bed to fix it up.
-
And.
-
You know, my is and uh, I remember I was
-
then there. My wife had went up for two or
-
three hours in the church.
-
It was probably I don't remember Tuesday night or something
-
of that nature. And I think we had a church
-
on Tuesday and at that time, and she went up
-
and was praying and she come back she said.
-
God told me He's gonna send so.
-
I said, Lord to God, God, I didn't wait till Sunday.
-
There was in the.
-
Church on Thursday night.
-
On Thursday night getting seen, Thank God, I said. And
-
then I'll tell you purse your works man, God, word
-
of God, so much I could say. And bart is
-
full and just your general lofty and the accommodation have
-
been sold beyond and just so very very thankful.
-
Uh, I mean, just to see your pastor.
-
And I know on homecoming the stresses of getting everything together,
-
and I know my wife Y'd have done such a
-
good Wasn't that beautiful today? I mean it's just very
-
pretty and uh, don't ask the guy to do that
-
right there and come and I know my wife had
-
just come to the camp meeting and and just the
-
just the extra things nobody sees, and just to make
-
it and be wonderful.
-
I can ask me in the food was just wonderful.
-
And uh that little sister brought me a glass of tea.
-
Thank you wherever your aret's God, and uh they man,
-
I have a and we're gonna be amen.
-
Me and my wife have got a little uh something
-
to do with tea in our lives.
-
That glass of tea I got me drink.
-
Yeah, and I remember I was uh courting my wife
-
to be and uh I like drinking.
-
I'm I'm a heavy drinker.
-
Uh not that what but uh I drink a lot
-
of tea water. I mean, you know, And uh.
-
I remember I asked my little sister in law, I
-
done had one glass of tea?
-
I live the I don't think got one.
-
So I had two glasses and tea and I still.
-
I don't know that my little sister mama Homi, I said, hey,
-
do you mind gonna give me another glassy tea?
-
Little? I know my mother in law, but that's my
-
wife led early you marry him. He drinks a lot
-
of tea. Man, so you bless my heart today, he.
-
Said, A lady, this God gives me people all along
-
in line to help us out.
-
And and and I go prey shut down.
-
And uh A man hadn't been amazing watching running how.
-
And his children getting in it.
-
Amen, Uh, pushing for a movie, Guard of Service and
-
squires have been tremendous.
-
Everything just been great. And uh, I think we ought
-
to give Beth a line lout that got the joke.
-
Brother Billy, I wish he had just took over offended
-
me at all. Amen, Well praise a little here we go. Yeah,
-
I brought several things with me. You know how you
-
do just drung the mind the Lord those things.
-
On your heart.
-
And uh and I will I.
-
Will say I I.
-
Am a wholeness fan. I do believe in hooleness. And uh,
-
sit over in the ring you wanna say him afterwards?
-
I I that sit You don't holderness God's.
-
View on nakedness Christians and amusements.
-
What the Bible says about the lengths of patsy addresses.
-
I bring them with me cause I do believe in it. Amen,
-
I I I do believe in it. And I will
-
say this, you got your bibles turning weak? Me to
-
the Book of Malakan. Uh. Hey, now I just want
-
the Lord to help us out. Amen.
-
I just feel like.
-
And I I'm nobody like my wall said, work country
-
and a calm, true country.
-
And uh. When I was young, about sixteen years old,
-
my mother was from Virginia, and uh, you know, it
-
wasn't an it wasn't a dash it was it wasn't
-
a glove box. It was a deal, right, And uh,
-
I mean she corrected my grammar.
-
My whole life.
-
And uh, but I think when I hit sixteen, I
-
was I I had to make a costious choice.
-
I I don't know if I made the right choice,
-
but I made the choice.
-
M Uh was I gonna say spaghetti case y'all was
-
gonna say sketty.
-
Steady one out? MoMA did it? Anyway, I'm coming. I'm
-
proud of it, and uh, I'm gonna I'm gonna be
-
honest with h oh man. I just want God to
-
help us. I just want God to help us. All.
-
I've struggled with this and I have struggled with this today.
-
And I told my wife even on the welfare, I.
-
Said, I'm gonna trying to fish out here.
-
And uh, if your pastor said something today, just didn't
-
just didn't pass it.
-
And I will say this. God is helping our church
-
and we're gonna try to quickly get through of this.
-
But God is helping our church area in Ashland. And
-
I'm so very very thankful that he.
-
Started begetting right right right. Uh he man, I'm thankful
-
about the works that you're doing in Kenyon.
-
Uh what really started? I believe I had been preaching
-
in my church and what I really want to preach
-
tonight or helped me.
-
I had been preaching to a church about and one
-
service in particular, we was taking up an offering and
-
we was given to three different missionaries and Sir provided
-
in there, and we was fifteen dollars short. And my wife,
-
she she just said, hey, look, I'm not trying to
-
get all the way or anything, but you know, we're
-
about fifteen dollars short. If anybody wants to do that,
-
you know, if I'm gonna take it out of the
-
church tower, we gotta do that. Just letting you know.
-
We had a little sister there that didn't have a
-
whole lot of money.
-
And she stood up and her hollered out. She said,
-
I want to give up. I'll give fifteen dollars.
-
Man.
-
I had a man over on the side over here
-
the lady become our deacon, and he said I wanted
-
to give it. He said, put me down for twenty
-
five dollars.
-
The Lord of God. You know, we came yea hell
-
hen William, and well, heymen.
-
Three and a half hours later, Hey where a country
-
of people where I'm at. You get a little bit
-
better and nobody has, you know, big fancy jobs or
-
you know, they weren't factory word different things that they do.
-
But three and a half hours.
-
Later, hey man, we had took up over three thousand
-
and saved dollars and had seventeen hundred dollars promised, and
-
we built a church at India.
-
Well, praise the Lord.
-
I called up the missionary and I told him. I said, brother,
-
you ain't gonna believe this. He just had left our church.
-
I said, God go bless and we want to build
-
a church in India.
-
I told him the story. The Lord began to move.
-
He told me later, he said, brother, because of what
-
your church did. He said, there was either four or
-
maybe five other churches that build a church an Indian team,
-
because of your obedience to God. And he told me
-
later he there and he come back and was preaching
-
for me. And uh, he said, brother Jim, he said,
-
you build a church at India, God builds you a
-
church in America.
-
The Lord, I said, thank the lie. William gont It, I.
-
Said, consoud it, old man. I took him up to
-
another church, preached a friend of mine's church.
-
And here is preaching. In the middle of his preaching.
-
You'd have to know it.
-
He just stopped and looked at me. He said, you
-
build a church. Don't worry about the money. God was
-
sending you the money, and he's been doing it. I said,
-
he got to them over here.
-
I believe in now. Amen. I appreciate it so very
-
very much. Amen, all right, will all right?
-
And amen, I would I would, uh say, I am
-
while I'm here, I am subject to your pastors, and
-
I respect your pasty.
-
Amen.
-
And uh I just the way brother Jim is everything.
-
He believes.
-
There's a Bible, right, I'm on here.
-
I'm gonna preaching heaven her head midel Dad, aymen, it's
-
gonna be Bible.
-
It's not gonna be something that you gotta just kind
-
of really look at. Amen.
-
Now, there's big times I've told people holy those stories
-
on time.
-
Leave it alone, it's all I tell you. Leave it alone.
-
If that's what he tells me. Amen. But I'll tell
-
you a man, we'll praise the Lord. Amen. Look at
-
Melanchochester number three. Amen. Uh, my brother how obeyed the Lord?
-
Earlier he meant, uh, we we are currently doing our best.
-
I thought today, brother, how you asked me, said when
-
do you want to get in? And what's my plan.
-
I've just been telling people whenever God doesn't, and that's
-
what I've.
-
Been telling people.
-
And because I don't know, it's been from one step
-
to another, and I mean it is. I've had center
-
people just sender people I'll work for they can't give.
-
The man give, and.
-
Uh, you know, I just was like, Lord, it's just
-
amazing to watch God dook and uh but I felt
-
like my holy ghost step with.
-
Me to day brother House. I was there in the
-
room and after you had talked to me about a time,
-
and uh, I felt like he let me know I
-
need to put something amen. So for Lord wills, I
-
want to be in it. By next camp we might
-
be on concrete, bare floors. I don't know. I want
-
to be in it. Am on my next kmpney And
-
God's gone. God's God miracles good, mean, God's done miracles.
-
Right now. We're under ruth. Thank God.
-
I don't want to really really want to just focus
-
on us tonight, but.
-
We're under resins.
-
June of last year, June the twenty eighth been forward
-
us lad and God's kept us and I'm.
-
So very very thankful for that.
-
I mean, Mada Cot chapter three, it's been very very
-
familiar forcing the scripture like I say, I am subject
-
to your man of God, and brother Philip, that's got
-
to obey the Lord and God to help us.
-
Amen. Verse nunder eight. The marble says, will a man
-
rob God? Will a man robe God?
-
Ye have robbed me, But you say we're in Have
-
we robbed thee in tithes and offerings?
-
You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed
-
me even this old nation.
-
Bring you all the ties into the storehouse, that there
-
may be meet in my house.
-
And prove me now here well save the Lord of Host.
-
If I will not open to you the windows of
-
heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall
-
not be ridden enough to receive it, you may be seated.
-
Amen. I must say this. Amen, Then the Lord den't. Brother.
-
How about the glory of the Lord falling in our church? Amen.
-
We have had a service in our church, know she wrot.
-
We had stitching cords, had lights, and we had a
-
couple of big fans, thank God. And we had a
-
service in the church.
-
And uh last well sometimes getting one exactly it was.
-
But we had one service, just the beginning service.
-
And in that service.
-
I preached about healing and Americans and dessert things, and
-
I believe God gets out.
-
Amen.
-
But in that service, God touched my wife. She had
-
afflicting in her body. God knew miraculously in her life
-
and her body. And thank God for that. And I've
-
got a old my oldest son, Timothy's got.
-
His little boy dusting. Amen. Has God.
-
They believe it's policy. Find Paulsy several to reap potty
-
and his little foot.
-
Don't that right? His rock hand on that ride.
-
And in that.
-
Service, I felt the Lord did would be just gonna
-
heal my brand.
-
Amen.
-
And I told him that, and thank the Lord. He's
-
starting to talk a little better. He's starting to use
-
his rock hand a little bit. And God's a moving
-
And I'm looking for miracles, Amen, I said, I'm.
-
Looking for miracles.
-
When he said that, Hey man.
-
I told a brother in our church he has high
-
blood pressure problems, real bad.
-
Sometimes he has blood vest little busted in his eyes,
-
a different thing.
-
And I told him, I'm believe in God to heal you. Amen.
-
I can tell you and.
-
Put you to the place. Only thing I can explain.
-
I don't know how to explain it any other way.
-
But I can show you the place in the church.
-
I can show you how I saw him stand when.
-
God is gonna do it in his life. That's all
-
I can tell you, heymen. And I'm believe in God
-
to do it. Hey man, I said, I believe.
-
In God to do it.
-
Man, Praise so the Lord, I said, Praise Lord. Amen,
-
Well blight to God. Liter I was not listening to
-
Brother Cow and I don't know, I really not had
-
don't even talk to brother.
-
How and uh, but he was talking about, you know,
-
I don't need me honestly, praise no, and uh maybe
-
something out across a man.
-
I don't know when God beginning to deal with my heart.
-
And I love to see God do, amen, I said,
-
I love to see. It's been a burden on my
-
heart really really on all day to day off and on.
-
I've been thinking about that and uh, you know and
-
and this is really I questioned God and I said, God,
-
is this.
-
Really what you want me to do?
-
And uh, I'm just a cloud preacher. I'm not a
-
race horse. I'm a PLoud preacher.
-
Hate him yea.
-
Lord said that.
-
It's all right, heymen, but I feel the holy gossip.
-
I want to have somebody tonight. Man, I just want
-
to strum the clown down a little thing right here tonight.
-
You know, I want to plow a little bit. I
-
want to see God. Hey, hell, I want to see
-
God give you what you need. I want to let
-
God give you what's in your pastor's heart. I said.
-
I want to see God give you what's in your
-
pastor's heart, good praise.
-
I want to feel like I said, I feel like
-
a man. You know, hey, I don't know exactly how your.
-
Pastor preaches all this, and I defer to him any questions.
-
That's me. He's the man of God for this church. Amen, Malicho.
-
Three will a.
-
Man rob God.
-
We know about uh and we're very well acquainted if
-
we want. God teaches in the Word of God about
-
tithing and giving and money and those things in our life.
-
And I know this is an odd.
-
I'm not here, Hemil, but I just.
-
Can't get away from this, Amen, I'm there there. There's
-
many different ideas alout times, and really in his heart.
-
Sometimes worry a pastor. We have to we got to
-
preach it.
-
We've gotta speak to other people about giving and what
-
God says about it and you know, there's a lot.
-
Of things that happen. There's a lot of you know
-
that they call you greedy, and they all do all
-
of the things that they I say about it you.
-
But I just want to tell you.
-
I here, it's God's plan to the church. He meant
-
to give they went to the givers such he mean,
-
I don't tell you that he knew that.
-
Praise God. He mean, God will give you church. I said,
-
God will give you church, and God will bless your
-
award to and God will bless your effort touches.
-
They know that I'm telling U, we gotta.
-
Understand some things.
-
Nothing that I know your pastor preaching in and I'm
-
probably just white watching a.
-
Well water fall up was all he Then I tell
-
like God wanted me tonight to preach us about a
-
lad a little praise an arm now.
-
Anything I know ya, Amen, I want to preach three
-
things tonight, y'all will stay living in help. I want
-
to talk to us tonight about times.
-
He didn't get a man.
-
I want to talk to you about your offerings, amen,
-
and what they are for and God's talks about your offerings.
-
Amen.
-
And then finally I want to talk to us about
-
our attitudes toward giving right and in our attitude towards giving.
-
And then in the Book of Lomnicus, chapter twenty seven
-
and verse thirty, the Bible said, listen to.
-
What the Lord says. First, we're talking about whose ties,
-
of who tithes they are? Who gets ties Levinicus twenty
-
seven and thirty. The Bible says, first, all the time,
-
it's the Lord.
-
That's what the Bible says. You can find it there
-
in Levinicus twenty seven and thirty. And if we give
-
our ties to the Lord, and the tithes are his ties, pymen,
-
and he alone the sides whose they are and what
-
they're useful, bright.
-
Please the Lord. He read numbers eighteen twenty fourteen thirty one.
-
The Bible said, But the ties of the children of Israel,
-
which they offered unto the Lord I have given.
-
The Bible says God said, I have given the Levites
-
to inherit and the Lord's making. The Moses say, speaking
-
to the Levis, and say, when you take of the
-
children of visual ties which I have given you from them,
-
then shall ye offer up even a tenth part of
-
the tide, And ye shall give of the under air,
-
and the priest, it is your reward for the service
-
in the Tibernacle of the congregation.
-
Hey, praise the Lord.
-
And if it's the Lord's times, God said, he gives
-
it to the men of God. Hey, man, that's God's business.
-
I said, that's God's business. And then listen around. And
-
then the Bible said again and second Caronicles. Moreover, he
-
commanded the people to give the portion of the priest
-
and the levis, and they might be encouraged in the law.
-
And as soon as the commander came, the children of
-
visual blot in the garments of the first strips of
-
car and all that honey, and of all the increase
-
of the field, and all the tithe of all things
-
brought they in abundantly and laid them in heats. It
-
has the car question the priests and the evot's concerning
-
the heats, and has a right. The chief priest answered
-
him and said, since the people began to bring the
-
offers into the house of the Lord, we care enough
-
to eat, and have left plenty for the Lord have
-
blessed these people, and that which has left this this
-
fat store, that has.
-
A ky commanded of their tamers in the house of
-
the Lord. And they brought me in the offerings and
-
the ties, and not so here we see ties, and
-
then where they go.
-
And but I will say this, if you are to
-
encourage your preacher love, be faithful in your ties. I
-
set me faithful in your ties and your offering.
-
He did not will encourage him and the Lord he
-
is God. Sometimes they got more versus here he remain.
-
In the Book of Nmi, chapter number twelve, the Bible
-
said also that day they offered great sacrifice. They rejoiced
-
before God, for God had made them rejoice with great joy,
-
their wives and their children's rejoice for the joy of
-
j Ruslims heard above off And at that time they
-
were appointed over the chambers for the treasures of the offerings,
-
for the first reason, for the tithes to gather, get
-
into them the portions of the law, for the priests
-
and the levites.
-
For Judah rejoice for the priest and for the.
-
Levites that wait. And I don't know if you rejoice
-
when you give your ties and offerings, but you haughted
-
well praise So Lord, I said, I don't know if
-
you rejoice, but you ought to praise God.
-
After thirteen the Bible set of the ties. Hey, now
-
he's speaking of ties. The Bible set of the ties
-
was commanded to be given unto the league gods. I
-
don't know that, Brother Jim believes that the ties belong
-
to the Man of God. Now I'm know, come in.
-
I'm in at my church. He mean now for twenty years,
-
and come on here.
-
When I first took the church, I think was getting
-
fifty dollars a week, I think, and we was driving
-
an hour and a half.
-
One way.
-
You mean, come on here.
-
We've done that for a couple of years. Two years,
-
two years, we drove an iron.
-
And a half fifty dollars in ties, had bought my fuel,
-
and by then you could buy a burger at McDonald's
-
for a dollar, not two nine.
-
He was about a dollar, thank God. And we could
-
buy our fuel, and we could buy a couple of
-
dollar sample choose. Uh, heymen, come on here, I said,
-
I understand up. Hey, then, I remember one day I
-
walked in and I said, I told my wife. I said,
-
I don't know if they want a preacher or not.
-
He I'm been here two years, fifty dollars a week,
-
I'm trying to do everything I can.
-
He be working in labor and that he then I'll
-
be honest with you. I had a resignation mode in
-
my Bible. I said, look, if they know I'm not
-
asking for a dollar, hollar things to ask for a
-
dollar and then come on here. And I got talking
-
to him. Up hey, he mad a little bit. It's
-
I don't remember how to come out.
-
He amen, but uh they said, oh hold on, we
-
was gonna give you a raise price gott.
-
I don't remember how it come out now, and they
-
give me I forget a percentage of the time. Man,
-
we was in Hong Kong. I think we got.
-
Thirteen dollars each year. God was a proven something of
-
my church. God, I said, God was a proving something
-
of my children. A little bit later, we was going
-
through and we was I was preaching what I'm preaching
-
to night. I was telling them what God said on in.
-
The Bible, how God said it. He an didn't even
-
though they were doing the percentage. And and they come
-
to me and they said, brother Jim, that's the word
-
of God. We want to do it.
-
And I said, well, brothers, I understand, but I understand
-
the finances.
-
Of this church, he meant, And I said, look, let's
-
God do it right now.
-
I don't think you hold I forget how all we
-
I don't know if we can do it right now,
-
he meant. So they just decided to vote and to
-
give us the ties.
-
Praise the Lord. I told him, don't do it.
-
And they said, well, we want to do it because
-
God said, you know, God, begin to do God beginning
-
to bless them, I said, And God begin to bless them, I.
-
Said, God, I'm beginning to bless them. Hey, hey man,
-
you know I don't know.
-
Your pastor here as far as all these ties and
-
me none of my business.
-
But I'm telling you from me.
-
Amen.
-
We started building this church, and I understand the burden. Heymen,
-
I'm working with everything I can. I'm trying to give
-
everything I personally can to the work of God. He
-
may not only in labor, but in finances. And listen
-
and man, what God deals with your man of God
-
about that ties, That's up to him.
-
And then that's between him and his God he made
-
of the blessing to God will fall.
-
Let you get in now.
-
I'm not saying you got coming.
-
I'm telling you right here and then it's God's de Sirah,
-
bless the preacher and the blessed the church.
-
And he's got a good thinking that brage God.
-
It is Anser chapter seven, right, amen, an offering. He've
-
been a National chapter seven. You'll see the dealings of
-
God upon an earthly king.
-
And he means, you do.
-
Then there's four things I'd like this to look at.
-
They been in National chapter seven.
-
In verse fourteen and sixteen, a king attacker Arison told
-
Esra listen to what he said, and then he began
-
to talk to him about the temple that is needing
-
to be rebuilding. He mean, I got time to go.
-
Into all that had.
-
But in verse fifteen, the king basically said, all right, idea,
-
s here's my offering. I'm giving an offering to the
-
owner the house of God. Hey, then listen, he said,
-
here's I'm gonna be honest with you.
-
He then, brother, brother Jeremy, he been my thought tonight
-
was not about my church. He was a my chall
-
friends God, hell.
-
Loljah, Hey, because I want to see God do so
-
up there for Becca, because the need.
-
Is here and that I can see it.
-
And then he said, he said, here's my offering next,
-
and then he told the preacher man, he said, take.
-
Up an offering. No. He then for the house of God.
-
He never listen, man, he many of you want to
-
know that the Bible gives the preacher matter right to
-
take it up. It does, said up to you, tells
-
us the purpose of this offering.
-
The purpose was so that worship can be instituted in
-
the Temple of God.
-
For the needs for worship.
-
Amen, listen, Amen, we don't have to pay nothing for
-
a sacrifice of praise. But there's the things that are needed. Amen,
-
that we must purchase worship right. Ain't Thirdly, the King
-
place trust in God's man and said in verse eighteen,
-
whatsoever shall.
-
Sing good into thee do with the rest of the
-
silver and the gold, do that after the will of
-
your God.
-
Amen.
-
I was, I was.
-
We We got our church, We had outreaches, We have
-
nursing home to the nursing home meeting, we had jail services,
-
we have street means.
-
Thank your brother.
-
My wife is saying, Amen, come home. Even though y'all
-
don't think you heard us. With that couple next to
-
us did praise daughter.
-
How the window was down A praice daughter heymen, But listen, amen,
-
you need to trust your man of God.
-
Finally, whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of
-
the Dog, He said the stoic from the King's treacher.
-
And then I'm talking about our offerings, our offerings, our offerings.
-
The second Chronicles twenty four and eight the Bible said,
-
they made a chest and set it without.
-
The gate of the House of the Lord, and to
-
bring into the Lord the.
-
Collection, and all the princes and the people rejoiced, and
-
brought hound and cast into the chest, and empty the chest,
-
and carried in again and gave it to such as
-
did the work of the service of the house of
-
the Lord, and hired masons and carpenter to repair and men.
-
The house of the Lord. Amen.
-
Because Josiah the King was minded to repair the house
-
of the Lord. He gathered the priests and the levis said,
-
go out, and the judd gather of all in Israel
-
money to repair the house of the Lordship of God.
-
From here to here.
-
And then I want to tell you this is brother Jim,
-
I don't believe time. Amen, Amen, we need.
-
I don't hear me. I believe that's offering.
-
Little Prince okaymen, and they took up an offering and
-
they paid the hard held. They didn't cut the preachers
-
of them right, I ain't said nothing to you.
-
I don't know nothing about you. Praise. I have no idea. Amen,
-
I'm way out here.
-
Praise Sie Sicon in trouble already, raise dog. Tell you man,
-
I don't believe you ought to cut the preacher Saturday.
-
Tell you man, if we see we need something dying,
-
let's get it done. Let's take him an offering, take
-
it out of her pockets up. They didn't get the
-
preature of.
-
The money here. Whatever you need having guide up and
-
then let's do this for God. This is in part
-
to us, and I feel that in these turns, it's
-
in part to us.
-
And then I'm just trying to purchase up. They ain't
-
greater things than happen not here.
-
They just get in here. I feel talking to me
-
about offers.
-
Lord.
-
We also made ordinances for us. This is the ten
-
thirty three. We also made ordinances from us. It's just
-
all right. I'm just a wow, preacherd hey.
-
We also made an ordinances for us can charge ourselves
-
yearly with the third part of a shekel for the.
-
Service of the House of our God. They said, Look,
-
we made a commit that we was gonna give so
-
much a year help men for the work of God.
-
Hey, I'm not telling you that's your pastor right here,
-
but I'm telling you that's what they did for their church.
-
All right, Hey man, listen well, Niamah said, Amen, this
-
is what they did. They give a third part of
-
a shekel for the service of the House of God,
-
for the shoe bread, for the continual meat offering, and
-
for the continual burnt offering of the sibbus of the
-
new Mans, for the set feast, for the holy things,
-
and for the sins.
-
Offerings, and for all the work of the House of
-
the Lord.
-
I'd like to propose to you tonight, if I understand
-
the Bible correctly.
-
Your offerings are needed for the work of the House
-
of the Praise God. Tis right off the top. Want
-
me to come back.
-
Again, John can proceed, not off the top. I believe
-
the top the gross and nothing that. And before the
-
governmy gets.
-
Stairs, that fall what tay gets theirs and they in
-
church comany gets fairs. Then I believe can't perceive the
-
ain't men am all my require spy on.
-
All noday kill.
-
They has a firm conviction that their ties are the pastors,
-
the man in the ministries. He may, oh, yes, key
-
controls now he may Now, there's nothing I don't believe
-
tis all of my toilet.
-
Paper, Sunday school literature of trash bags, or pay the
-
power to you. I believe that's offerings.
-
That's brother chill on, they got checking up his brother
-
chill out they got. But I tell you they're like
-
the Bible. Little back there a.
-
Lord.
-
Not only do I believe tised along to God, but
-
I believe the offerings you give along to God.
-
Once you give an offering, you leaves control of God.
-
God.
-
Hey here, if I knew here.
-
I don't to use it for that.
-
I wasn't to give it less short hearty, he said,
-
less short.
-
Heart Amen, I thought you'd give it to God.
-
Right.
-
I want to say something here that made this is
-
this is this is not in the bottom. Okay, but
-
every little rich message rich the whole message on time
-
on things.
-
That ain't in the bottle.
-
He did again, Amen, Brother Jim believes you rob God
-
not only by not paying your.
-
Ties, right, oh God, but you rob.
-
God by not purposing to give to God your best,
-
not just what you've got left over.
-
Praise God.
-
I say you rob God by not purposing to give
-
God the best. Amen God, He is worth mord than
-
your scraps.
-
Call here her.
-
Ultimately, it is hard job to keep the church up
-
and running and touching him. Hey man, listen, how I
-
got an amazing story. And they didn't you like an illustration?
-
Brother, our brother give the night. Tell you well, I
-
got an illustration too. Praise God. It's about Wiggles. You're
-
bogs man.
-
I want to see you. I like it the holl Okay.
-
I pay him on the head occasionally, and uh ain't
-
gonna be mean to him.
-
Amen.
-
Let me tell you about Wiggles. And this boy had
-
a dog by the name of Wiggles.
-
And uh that not.
-
At supper time, his daddy began to notice this. He
-
is eating his plate at supper. Hey man, he's started noticing.
-
He moved the meat over to the side here the
-
day he thought, well, he's saying the best part for us.
-
He ate the rest, and then there's again to the meal.
-
And he saw that meat was still there and places
-
were fitting me. Took he said, son What are you doing.
-
With your meat? He said, I'm giving it to wiggles. Now.
-
He said, oh no, you're not. I pain't cutting money
-
for that meat. You're gonna eat at me boy?
-
Yeah, me, yes, sir.
-
A little while later, that.
-
Little boy is out there feeding wiggles and scraps. There
-
feeding wiggles and scraps. He is talking to his little dog.
-
He said. He said, I had you an offering. Heymen, Well,
-
i'd give you scraps, man, and sometimes we do that
-
in church.
-
God, I'm gonna give you all I gots what just
-
left over. Hey man, I'm gonna tell you something here.
-
You don't give God the first and the best.
-
All, you're gonna have strap. I said, oh, you're gonna
-
have a strap. Hey we're praising hard. Hey man.
-
There's some debate and then time keep plowing, just go.
-
There's some debate on what is the storehouse. You know,
-
they said, we're gonna have a storehouse playing. No, don't
-
tell me we go about this storehouse. I don't bring
-
the ties to the storehouse. There's some debate about that. Generally, though,
-
I have found in my experience it is greedy, controlling
-
individuals who try to act as if the storehouse is
-
the church and they decide whether.
-
Or not office far the preacher. Right, I'm gonna battle
-
just for a minute.
-
The storehouse is not a deacon board or a church secretary.
-
And I don't want to feed you in. But this,
-
brothers you have it's not even of the voting members
-
of the church. We don't vote on paying our power bills, right,
-
and we should not vote on whether we pay our preacher.
-
That's God's business.
-
And it seems mody clear to me and his word
-
he is in teaching on that man. Well, priest God,
-
you will unquelling.
-
Man. What did Jesus saying the New Testament about times?
-
You know? Jesus said something about it the New Teste
-
a man the.
-
Bible said in eteen twenty three and twenty three Jesus
-
said he pain ties.
-
He looked at a group of people, said you pay times.
-
You know what he said?
-
These things he opted. Jesus said gonna.
-
Pay what.
-
Hallelujah? I know didn't think Jesus he preached about it?
-
They did? He heard that.
-
My twelve and fifteen, Hey man, there was a group
-
pushent for cribs in Mark fifteen, a twelve and fifteen
-
her Pharisees and Herodians. They were wicked men that areligned
-
themselves with herod and Rome pertaining propheta and then personal propheta.
-
That was a question that they asked Christ. So they said,
-
hour we give or shall we not kill? Look?
-
Can that listen to me?
-
And if they looked at Jesus, I'm talking about what
-
Jesus said about times.
-
And in Christ asked her for a pen.
-
He remember that I tol.
-
And he looked at it and said, whose image or
-
whose images this? Whose subscription is this man? Who's is now?
-
And then I like to ask us tonight whose money
-
all those ties and offered to anybody?
-
I said, whose is to?
-
When he looked, he sent.
-
Render run the seesir, Look, stuff thinks out our sea.
-
But un the goed, I fas said by the god
-
that thinks that our died. I said, God, a plere tis,
-
Jesus said, claim.
-
Si he ain't. Jesus said, listen, give and it shall
-
be given under you.
-
Good measure pressed down, shake it together, and running over
-
shall be given to your puzzle form with the same
-
measures you meet with all it shall be measured to
-
you again Jesus hold on, give him helloah, hol only
-
did Jesus team on give them aout the apostles talking
-
about ties and office. I know some people that they
-
don't even see in the Bible. Ain't got no ideas
-
in the Bible. Office and showing you the Lord to
-
help me. Hey, min, it's in the Bible, the book
-
of Hebrews, chapter seven, verse forty five. Listen to what
-
the Bible said, leave God who received ties. I leave
-
my sorry, as you received the office of the priests
-
have a commandment to take tithes of the people.
-
According to the law. I said that new test You
-
know what he said in verse eight of that same
-
person of scripture.
-
And here.
-
Men that die received tithes Hebrews seven and eight. Look
-
it up market in your bible. Here men that die
-
received ties.
-
That this is the part that I like. But there,
-
but there he received them. That's what they said, is
-
looking up at their battle. Here, men that die received ties.
-
You pay your ties to the man of God.
-
And when you pay your ties to the man God,
-
however he arranges that it's his church. I'm not into
-
all that, amen, But there isn't a automatic depositor in
-
decendants braincase.
-
You're well, hey, did you hard to leave attached to
-
it to say that you might be paying brother hold today?
-
But in that and God said, I got yourn a
-
positive hallah tend that's right, falloray, I.
-
Said, I ain't got yourn std. Heaven's pray that heaven's
-
taking record. And now I said, heaven's taking record. Ye
-
never started a little little mind. Jesus are standing over
-
there up. The peoples are given together and together.
-
And I'm sad there by that. U.
-
My guy's a little little horn. He gives a father,
-
take your help. And she gathered her name, they may her.
-
God said, Holy, she's getting more cally. I don't know
-
he's saying that call. He's up the books up. Think.
-
God said you get going in. They all hell heyah.
-
And then I say, God pays a teacher, no hell
-
you give right. That's Apostles again preached said, remember remember
-
the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said it
-
is more blessed to give than tenescit.
-
I'm just painting the post wife one more time than
-
I first Corinthian sixteen and one.
-
They go on to preach to us now concerning the
-
collection because I have given.
-
Order to the churches.
-
Even so do ye upon the first day of the week,
-
that every one of you lay by him in story
-
as God prosper Lordluiah, Lord, Amen, will praise God. I'll
-
believe the marbles all about Amen, friends, un to God.
-
And finally, i want to talk to us about our attitude.
-
And I'm gonna try to hold us story along that
-
longer tonight.
-
Amen.
-
By the Second Corinthians eight and twelve, the Bible said, first,
-
there must be a willing mind.
-
It is accepted according that a man had.
-
At this time.
-
Your abundance may be a supply that there may be
-
no like God said, you gotta be willing. And it
-
is according to what you've got that the supply that
-
God give us.
-
There there's no lack or no need. Well here second
-
Corinthius nine and seven. Of the bottles that have a
-
man according listen as he purposed in his heart. So
-
man can give not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loveth.
-
A cheerful giver.
-
He that's so sparingly shall read sparingly, and he that's
-
so infounively shall be bountifully praise God.
-
Listen now, Haymen, oh yes, and he makes a promise. Amen. Listen. Amen,
-
he says it will be added.
-
There will be an.
-
Addition into our lives.
-
And then now he that manter seed to the soul.
-
Both minister, pray for your food and not the ply
-
your seed. So he increed the fruits.
-
Of your righteousness. Amen, listen, many wants in addition in
-
your life.
-
Thinking about I'm telling you.
-
Luck if you'll get the rider that I'm killing that
-
God loves a cheers, don't get her right.
-
It won't just be an a kiss. It won't be
-
a bupa Jason in your life.
-
I don't want to get to you ahead of myself
-
right here, but I do creatate purpose from you my church,
-
believe it or not.
-
I've actually told people about to give them. Believe I didn't,
-
young man. And then we had some lyrics at our church.
-
I'm just trying to hit you out here.
-
I'm not in your business, brother, I promise, I'm not
-
trying to be in your business, say man at all.
-
But I won't tell you about some multiplications we had
-
at our Hey man, I had a young man he
-
was giving twenty five dollars, he paid his ties. Come
-
on here and uh, and he gives a purposely gift.
-
He started off. I think with like twenty five dollars
-
a week. I've had him start off with five dollars.
-
Ain't me, hey man, that's all they said they could do.
-
Five dollars. Amen, come on here, we blow that on
-
a coke cola in a candygarden. I'm on here. Some
-
of us look like we've had more than one, but
-
me and uh, hey man. I told him.
-
He come to me, he said, Brother Jim, He said,
-
I feel like I need to give more. I said, son,
-
I know your bills.
-
I mean, we talked back and forth. It's just you know,
-
I don't get everybody's bills here. But if they asked
-
me to help them, I help them. Come on here.
-
And you ought to have confidence yourself. Such a mess
-
right a little bit, and I said, so I know
-
your deals.
-
I think you're giving pretty good right now considering what
-
you're making. I said, hold on, don't give no more
-
that God, brother Brock, here's the one leading service of
-
the night.
-
Praise God. And well, a couple of weeks went by,
-
he come back. Mom said, go Jim, I feel like
-
I mean to give.
-
And I said, well, brother, he said, I gotta gives
-
he got a kid more.
-
Heys God. So he up to I don't know what
-
he up to, two bay up to hey man. Just
-
a few days or so later, he got a two
-
dollar raise, Praise God. Here's a suth the door.
-
He's a god. He got the place is a god.
-
They gotta got to get a bless her.
-
And then I got more that purpose, Ye that Adam
-
take they every where he comes.
-
And then I'll tell you think you got a bless
-
you if you learn with that attitude.
-
Did get that?
-
Yeah?
-
You know?
-
I love his church. I love Lord of young people.
-
You know where than people are church. Amen. But you
-
know what I'm saying out here, I'm not saying.
-
Amen, but I'm looking at young people right here that
-
you thank God live in your face.
-
You mean God to touch your family.
-
I know little babies and children and dippers and all
-
that kind of stuff can be expensive.
-
I understand that. But I would like to I challenge
-
some of you.
-
I'd like to challenge some of our older ones. And
-
then I'd like to challenge and then come on and
-
let you make a purpose.
-
Look, you make it every week, God on all the
-
seconds society.
-
I build the wholly.
-
Your dad, he ain't.
-
God'll bless you think that. Then you realize you do.
-
You may not understand it all right now and stand.
-
Me, oh clear, my diey.
-
Whatever you do, don't lie. I had an icense fire
-
to it. Say we get it off, we hold back
-
on God.
-
And then listen, now a man, we need to be
-
like that Norman in Matthew twenty six to poured that.
-
Alibast fox other running on cost. It was a purpose
-
spoke gift. I do preach it purposely gift. Amen. In
-
that day it was thought of as excessive, even a
-
thought of that being wasteful. I want to tell you
-
remember it is a on your album for your love.
-
I do not sing the lion after it's got a glass.
-
I step. I never see a massive steel it for God?
-
See that?
-
What's you need?
-
See?
-
Then I'll say you get that. I say you gotta
-
have the attitude thinking we.
-
Gotta get your ride.
-
I'm seeing professor in your heart. Stand this day for
-
I give.
-
You God.
-
At ones, what's in this for me? Right me? Believe Jesus?
-
For you you say, brother Jim, I would give and
-
then I'm laugh he don't want limb. I apologize brother. Ye,
-
it's hard to preach. Go ahead, you shut before I.
-
Say up to him, I don't doubt it to give
-
I just I would give it, but I ain't got it.
-
I'm gonna give you a Bible burst. You're ready, he
-
should throw in twenty six. Let him labor working.
-
With his hands that he may give. You say, I
-
ain't got it to give. Get off your couch. Yeah,
-
I said, get off your couch.
-
I go to what yeah what I said, don the
-
work and said, I got it, take it up, shut,
-
take him shop?
-
Got it again. You know what the marble says for
-
all sex sacrifice.
-
God.
-
He is well, Amen, raise yll Amen, thank you God.
-
Allays hate him when something he said, can I mail
-
just made him praise God, you man.
-
But I I like to say something just out of
-
my heart.
-
And then seven years ago, maybe doll the hatred impact
-
on my life and my ministry early.
-
On, get my lives.
-
And then I was giving a five dollar offense. I
-
mean like that, and uh he pressed the missence one time.
-
He said, don't pay tars on what you make, pay tars.
-
On what you need to make.
-
Praise God.
-
Over here, you see ties ten percent is the minimum.
-
Right you could give to God.
-
More say those thats unthought of, that's unhurt un. You're crazy.
-
You want to wipe over the head bloony.
-
That lost for ever let him up and let me
-
tell you a few few illustrations here and then.
-
Uh. There was a young man that was accepted for
-
the African missionary work.
-
He reported in in New York, but there discovered his
-
wife could not stand the climate. Heartbroken, he returned home,
-
but he determined he would make all the money he
-
could for missions. He took over his father's side business
-
of unfermented juice for communion. Under him, it developed, It
-
developed until literally he gave hundreds of thousands of dollars
-
to do the work of missions.
-
And we've all heard his name, and we all have.
-
Drunk the juice Welchiez grape juice, hundreds of thousands. There's
-
another young man that was challenged to take daughter too
-
his business.
-
His business was failing and.
-
He was deep in debt, and he finally said, if
-
God wants to run the cheese business, he.
-
Can do it.
-
He said, I'll work for him. And from that moment
-
it grew to now in his largest, the largest cheese concern.
-
In the world.
-
J Olcraft made God his senior partner, how Man, because
-
he purposed in his heart that he would kill And
-
then Wallis Johnson's tired.
-
As a sawmill operator.
-
And then how now he.
-
He's known as the innkeeper of America. Little time million
-
dollars a million here in nineteen thirty nine he bought
-
two hundred and fifty dollars, and he said, I'm totally
-
dependent up on God for everything I do, honestly, otherwise
-
I believe it would fall apart in mindset with over one.
-
Hundred thousand employees a holiday. He was started by man
-
that seemed that he'll tell her that. He said, I'm
-
want to get it to God, and then I'm gonna
-
get a hold mister.
-
So he started off poor.
-
Man till he came rich. Old day Amen. This was
-
a young man, Bob, a sixteen years old man William.
-
He left tom his father was poor to poor to
-
keep it. His only trade was soap and candle making.
-
He made an old.
-
Conn canliboat captain who knew where, who deal with him
-
and prayed and advised him. Had he talked to him,
-
he told the young man, be a good man.
-
Give your heart to Christ, to the Lord of all
-
that belongs to him, making honest for her soap, and
-
give a full pound. And he made his way to
-
the city, gave his heart to God.
-
Joined the church, and the first dollar he earned he
-
give ten ten cents. Hey.
-
Now he got regular employment. Later on he become the
-
soul owner of the business. He started with ten percent
-
he give to God, but the business crew.
-
So he went to give a God twenty percent, and Indian.
-
He went to thirty percent. Then he left the forty percent.
-
Then he went to fifty percent.
-
He then finally he was able to live off. He
-
made the money that the businessmaid.
-
And you give all the prophet to the word of God.
-
And then that was William cold Gates.
-
He give million today, Lord.
-
Ray God, Henry P. Cromwell, Lord God.
-
One day heard of the man of the men.
-
Of the Curry preach and praise.
-
He said, I can't be a preacher because of a
-
physical sickness in his body.
-
He said, but I can't be a businessman.
-
Seven years under the doctor's carry, finally regained his help.
-
He bought a little.
-
Rundown mill and raim Ohio in ten years.
-
His business was a household name to millions. Forty years.
-
He faithfully gave you from sixty to seventy percent.
-
From his initial ten percent. How that he started with
-
raised god. He was the owner of backers. Now, I
-
just wanna tell somebody run here. You say, I'd give
-
it if I had it, if you'll give one dodge.
-
Keeping you now.
-
Alright, I man, I'm not.
-
I'm not gonna pay we kinking or you ain't for
-
brother Jim and all.
-
Good, But I felt a burden of the Lord can get.
-
Something gain right here.
-
I'll give you a couple of stories and and uh,
-
I'll bring it to a place to pray. He man.
-
Several years ago. He man, I I I preached this message.
-
Gotten there with me, and I preached this message. As
-
far as I know.
-
There has been ten.
-
Churches, two churches, and they from the offering that was
-
a Fontaine amiously took.
-
I'm not gonna take up an offering I want here.
-
But that night, in the service a spontaneous offering, I
-
seen Grandma come up out of the view with a hundred.
-
She weighed that hundred dollars deal and shouted all the
-
weight to the front, and.
-
The people that give Grandma all that money for cleaning
-
knew how bad Crampon needed that money.
-
And God send him offering and it started.
-
One church there, another church it started, and they begin
-
to build a church.
-
And then my burden right here tonight, y'all have given
-
an amen. But I want to tell you that God
-
would love I don't know the burden. I just kind
-
of felt a nudge. I said it. I off to
-
your passion. I ain't said. It's not his fault. I
-
preached it. It's all brother you. But in my heart
-
today I can see the church going up. And how
-
about you? This is said some things in your mind. Guys,
-
God's gonna give you my My church does give us
-
so many miracles, so many I can't even begin to
-
tell you. Can't let me give it. Take an hour's brother.
-
I told him about how today I've got a little
-
I got nine grandkids on the way, seven and under.
-
That's a handful, hear me. I'm gonna a little while.
-
I told him one time, if you had to get
-
big and fat you wanna have.
-
You don't want to do that.
-
I was. My daughter called me up one day. We
-
an't had a mother at the church and had been
-
giving everything to that. And uh, she said, you don't
-
to be excited about what Stephen said. I said, what's that.
-
God been blessing us, God been moving, God's been giving
-
us miracles.
-
Like the miracle, not the miracles. I say, you can
-
see that for yourself. She said, you remember read what
-
Steve I said, what he say?
-
He said?
-
He told mom. He said, Mama, God's been helping us
-
at the church. We been building a church. He said.
-
We ain't got no dollars, we ain't got no corners,
-
we ain't got no Nicholas. But when Papa goes.
-
To lords, God puts five hundred dollars in his father.
-
I want to tell you God wants to do bo
-
y'all might have a make account. I know Florida's not
-
like Alabama. Whether I had to make one per men.
-
I once said my plans was in my noddle, and
-
that could be dangerous gas.
-
Florida here is pretty much.
-
It's gonna take sacrifice. But I say these children away,
-
I say your hand children.
-
And I'm on no, we will not stand by and.
-
Watch another dumtal church put in our heart and soul
-
into work for God.
-
And I said back, and God wants to say it. God,
-
it isn't nothing money to burn.
-
Many times saw me that, my God, say, look at
-
the building they do for me.
-
I'm starting and that glory. I'm gonna have to get money,
-
and I sure want to see it. Listen. I'd love
-
to be a little pity. Ud Steve, come on church.
-
I said, nothing you can do.
-
I don't know if you can get your pastor's visual.
-
But I saw a brief glimpse, I.
-
Said, I saw a brief glimpse. I stop looking that
-
from me. You're good from you? How about it?
-
I know you give.
-
When I was not intend in that my heart, I
-
honestly and the Holy God spoke. But he said the
-
night about building a church, I knew I hadn't I apologize.
-
I thought already what I'm never taking anything.
-
I am a subject to your creature. You wanta listen
-
to you, You wanna see these young people get excited.
-
Give about your creature and behind the vision of the
-
Latter God, and watch this parents with the power of
-
the golding of Condall.
-
Jar me when you get it to your pretty hip.
-
I know God's talking to somebody.
-
I can give your testimonies, call my church, call my people,
-
call my young God. Ask them if God won't do it,
-
ask him if God had provided for them, Ask them
-
of the miracles.
-
And they have not stopped it yet, Grave God, I'm cleaning.
-
People would not understand. They don't understand worship what you do.
-
They don't understand us hate the services. He man, we
-
shout with our little kids running ain't.
-
As much as they adults in not over I've had
-
handicapped people walking around the altar and bring the eyes out.
-
I'm over here and then I will leave in it.
-
But I won't tell you that God took know. This
-
means more to me than anything else. And I'm trying
-
to repe a kid. But they've seen enough of us
-
getting game of things that don't matter. What about those
-
eternal things? And I'm giving it to the preacher. How
-
about it tonight? Hey, then, would you come and pray God?
-
I please talk to your heart tonight. God's dealt with you.
-
I don't know where you are, I don't know your name.
-
A man, I'm not even to turn off from RW.
-
But what I am after is a heart. I say
-
