Summoning the Savior. Summoning the Savior. If you have your Bibles,
-
will you turn with me to the Book of Solomon.
-
May I direct your attention to the fiftieth chapter and
-
the fifteenth verse.
-
We must be about our father's business.
-
You can tell that I am determined to not to
-
obey the Lord. Somebody needs to call upon the Lord.
-
Somebody needs to call upon the Lord. Somebody needs to
-
reach out for that reaching down hand and believe that
-
the Lord can lift them out of trouble, lift them
-
out of Marie Clay.
-
And that's all you gotta do is just admit that
-
you need help. Summons the Savior.
-
Brother Nathaniel Palm, chapter number thirty four, Verse number six,
-
Brother Jesse Matthew, chapter number fourteen, verses number twenty eight
-
through thirty and Brother Samuel Psalm chapter number four and
-
verse number three. We've got three cod texts tonight. I'll
-
tell you this. I wanted to have twelve code text tonight.
-
There's so much in the Word of God about us
-
being needy and being in need of a savior, and
-
the necessity of calling out unto such a one as
-
our Lord. Brother Nathaniel Salm, Chapter number thirty four and
-
verse number six.
-
Will you listen carefully for the theme of tonight's service.
-
This poor man cried, and the Lord hurried and saved
-
and out of all his troubles.
-
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and
-
saved him out of all of his troubles. Will you
-
cry tonight? Will you call upon the name of the
-
Lord tonight? Will you call upon the Lord before it's
-
everlasting too late? Brother Jesse Matthew, chapter number fourteen, Verses
-
number twenty eight, three thirty please, brother, and Peter answered
-
him and said, Lord, if it be thou bid he
-
coming to thee on the water, and.
-
He said come.
-
And when Peter was come down out of the ship,
-
he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But
-
when he saw the wind was bostreous, he was afraid
-
and beginning to sink.
-
He cried, saying, Lord, save me.
-
So Brother Jesse just read to us some scriptures that
-
said the Lord bid Simon Peter to come unto him
-
if you would, the Lord called under Peter to come
-
to me. And then you find Peter having to call
-
upon the Lord. Oh Jesus help us here tonight. I
-
don't want anybody to clock out of this service tonight
-
having not called upon the name of the Lord. Brother
-
Samuel saw him chapter number four in verse number three.
-
But know that the Lord has set apart him that
-
is godly for himself.
-
The Lord would hear when I call unto him. How
-
many have you know?
-
The Lord will hear that call of that repentant heart,
-
that cry from that person of a contract spirit.
-
Let's stand for the reading of.
-
Our golden text Psalm chapter number fifty and verse number fifteen.
-
You have it, sa amen, and I will call upon
-
and call upon me in the day of trouble. I
-
will deliver THEE, and thou shalt glorify me. Let's read
-
it together and call upon me in the day of trouble.
-
I will deliver THEE, and thou shalt glorify me.
-
Praise the Lord. Wouldn't you love to see somebody.
-
Tonight call upon the Lord in their time of trouble
-
and to see him both kind of here glorified him
-
because of their deliverance.
-
Hevin the Father we love and we praise. Shall we
-
thank you for the opportunity to be in the house.
-
So the Lord God, We've come here.
-
Tonight we know whether purpose that suddenly the aid of
-
the Lord God, and a time of trouble. Lord, I
-
pray that you would have known this, thy servant, said
-
a guard at my mouth, if I'm would saying the things.
-
That you would have me to say, nothing more or
-
less are going to theirs of this thy people, that
-
they might hear what it is the Spirit of God says.
-
And to the church tonight through your preach word, I
-
like the words that they need. God, you have every.
-
Word that they need. I pray that the words will
-
be out of the mouth of the Father, even as the.
-
Words of this son, or out of the mouth of
-
the Park. And we'll give you prays an honor and
-
gruelry and Jesus name. And the church said, Amen, look
-
at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, have you ever
-
needed to summons the Savior?
-
Oh?
-
Yes, we have all had times when we needed to
-
call the time the Lord.
-
Our text is found in an Old Testament book of
-
the whole Bible, all the book of Psalm. Our attention
-
tonight is on the fiftieth song, which is a Psalm
-
of Asaf. Does anyone here tonight remember the psalm that
-
we focused on in this orning service, Psalm chapter number forty.
-
That's right, brother rope Camp and Brother Jesse, Salm chapter
-
number forty. This morning, the Lord led us to look
-
into what it was when the Psalmist and others had
-
to do in order to escape their dilima and predicaments.
-
In order to escape destruction, the psalmist.
-
Had to cry unto the Lord, and the Bible said
-
the Lord delivered them out of their trouble, and so
-
they were able to escape destruction and embrace deliverance.
-
And those are the two points that I want you
-
to hold on tonight. That's our mental outline.
-
I want somebody to escape destruction and embrace deliverance. These psalmists,
-
they were men that knew how to put pin to parchment,
-
and through the writing of poetry or through the writing
-
of psalms, they could persuade.
-
People to call upon the name of the Lord. They
-
were able to persuade people that were real people with
-
real problems in this life to summons the Lord per
-
aid and support.
-
In that fortieth Psalm, we've found the Psalmist praying unto
-
the Lord and praising the Lord while he was in
-
a pit seeking in the Miri reclaim, and his plea
-
was to the Lord, and it was one requesting deliverance,
-
and that was a psalm of David. But tonight we're
-
not focusing on a song of requests.
-
For deliverance by David.
-
We're focusing upon this fiftiest psalm, which is a psalm
-
of Israel song leader, namely Asaf. And when I read
-
this psalm this afternoon, as God began to put this
-
upon my heart, I noticed that there were not a
-
whole lot of things said about prayer and praise. Again,
-
there was not a whole lot of emphasis on prayer
-
and praise. What I see in this particular psalm are
-
words of instruction and correction. I mean, if somebody this
-
morning didn't get excited about the opportunity to.
-
Make a plea in the pit for deliverance, that it
-
seemed to me like I needed to flip on over
-
to this.
-
Fiftiest sob and let them see the words of Almighty God.
-
You'll find here that Israel song Leader Asaf is not hesitant,
-
are reluctant at all to speak and write as the
-
very oracle of God.
-
If you'll notice in.
-
This writing, you'll see that the Asaff is speaking with
-
the unction of the Holy Ghost as Tho, the Lord
-
himself is speaking. And I want to believe that today
-
and tonight the Lord has been speaking directly to two
-
or three people in this building after knowing God pulled
-
in such a loving manner this morning and the seashower
-
refuse to call upon him.
-
All by my mind, I can't help but turn to this.
-
Fiftieth chapter and point out to you that God is
-
an emotional being.
-
And that God is angry when the people that he
-
created refused to call upon him.
-
In fact, these people profess be his people, and Asam
-
puts peer department and in the soul he lets them
-
know that God is.
-
Not altogether pleased with the ceremonial and.
-
Animal sacrifices because they are unwilling to embrace a holy
-
the lifestyle. I mean, you would think that Asap was
-
the pastor and not the soul the leader because of
-
the way he gets down to the nitty gritty with
-
these people that call himself the specially selected and chosen
-
people of God. He see as God is speaking through Asaf,
-
and through this song, the Lord makes it clear to
-
these people that he doesn't really need anything whatsoever from them.
-
He lets them know that God is God, and that
-
God will always be God.
-
He lets them know that His existence is not because
-
of them. He lets them know that He really and
-
truly doesn't need the slain beasts in order to exist.
-
Oh, come on, now, God did not need all of
-
those bulls and goats and colonel doves and all of
-
those little lambs, because God owed more than a cattle.
-
Through the cows on a thousand heres. The earth is
-
the Lord's and the foolness thereof God made it clear
-
that every creature upon the face of the earth, and
-
every powl in the sky alone to him already.
-
Before he demanded of them animal.
-
Sacrifice, before he made inquisition for a bird sacrifice. God
-
could call all of the creatures was great and small
-
of the earth to himself, and.
-
They would bow in a certain place unto their God.
-
He could tell every boot.
-
Proud the kronka, and every boot fog on the planet
-
would cronk them. He could tell every bird in the
-
tree or in the air to single, and every bird
-
would yet their beating and see the soil under their creator.
-
He could tell every call to harmonize with the lion
-
the trial and the elephants and all within the endimal
-
keeping the wren and they could make come the noise.
-
There was liberty again. The years of God. He didn't
-
need to meet.
-
Offering health of any animal. He didn't need the ceremonial service.
-
He learned to be gone. The truth is that people
-
needed God, then that people meet God. Now I'm telling
-
somebody that he's the stealing the God. You have upset God.
-
You feel like you're your royal person. You don't even
-
realize say that. All he says, the long with God
-
and God has led to that temple. They're supposed to
-
be the welcoming a present that are steering. And I
-
gave you a basis.
-
He's roading to you to see if you would be
-
a good steward of your royal temple.
-
He's roading to you to see if you would go
-
hey to his house. We thankful men, sir, and gratitude
-
that we can't giving a Haly.
-
Said, God's open looking the animal sacrifice and all of
-
the religious active.
-
And he said, hone inser launching this time.
-
And in this armony, saying that I wish you were
-
willing enough to live a holy lifestyle.
-
And I wish you were willing there to come into.
-
My games with Thanksgiving, I wish something you were willing
-
enough to come into my cancer.
-
We praise and God's letting them there, and I'm looking
-
pay from you. He's missing now, he says something in
-
your life that's you're missing. I want you the name
-
that Michael. God not happy with you, O God. He's
-
Mary Man that said, will you. I'm feeling this at
-
to move.
-
God's stir my spirit, I had to go into lunch
-
and after me at what seemed to be a five
-
star restaurant, after having.
-
An excellent a tree if you would, I had to
-
watch him since to have literally eat the best of
-
the lamb.
-
I was home by one and I said, well today
-
I will get a nap like I haven't hand in
-
a decade. Today I will lay here and get sweet sleep,
-
having seen God pull so sweetly and tenderly this morning.
-
For somebody to call under him for their deliverance. And
-
then I felt a troubling in my spirit as I
-
since then a missen.
-
On being Gods terribly host with somebody that would be
-
sitting in these views tonight. Listen, Mama and listen, daddy,
-
and listen, young person. You're not even a good steward.
-
Of your own self.
-
And what about their babies that God gave you? Have
-
you even talked to him of how they said wrestle?
-
Have you been in the priory to teach the help
-
you are calling over.
-
When they're in trouble? Not hitting that a shame, a backslid.
-
Men and women, they lived through life for no one
-
who to tie old, But they don't give their babies.
-
I create a chance a baby, it's not a new all.
-
Ain't gonna do it. It's called upon for all. How's
-
angry with you? The Bible said, God is angry, We're
-
the waken. Every day.
-
I thought, preser I would rest, and I thought I'd
-
have peace in my spirit.
-
And God said their refusing to call upon me. In
-
the second chapter of the Book of Bats, it says,
-
fromsoever shall call on the name of the Lord, shall
-
be say in lis bit.
-
To your So I fear words of instruction, I fell
-
words of correction.
-
The filler with God sa ad for their own people
-
and doing what was right in their own eyes. They
-
may have been kill and cons They may have been
-
slaying gains.
-
They may have been different, their songs and their tones
-
in the blood that God was looking now for two days,
-
and one.
-
Of them was that they would call upon the Lord.
-
And the second name was then when they went to
-
his house, they would have greater gratitude, they would be
-
hateful that they were there.
-
One of my uncles recently told me that he visually
-
a in his church, and they said, when I visited
-
that whole in his church a while back, he said,
-
they probably had just a little over fifty.
-
He said, but when I went there, nobody had joy.
-
Nobody had joy.
-
I left my church up between three hundred and five hundred.
-
I ain't yet pitpoorted exactly how many he's got dinner,
-
but he said, I went back to my church.
-
Listen, I'm telling you, we see this in the mainstream
-
of movements. We see these and this thing going on
-
in the country churches.
-
We sit in the room parts of the world where
-
supposedly the saints are gathered together.
-
We see it in people's homes, we sit in there
-
places of business. We just see them going through life
-
with ingratitude for what God has done.
-
It is an enacmaty, an holiness church that anybody of
-
a different persuasion, wouldn't come into their presence and find
-
it absent to gratitude, been after the joy, or if.
-
I wouldn't so home on tonight and so soon reminded
-
in reaching her, say how I'll be able to take about.
-
He's offering praise, sacrifices, thanksgiving, that the praise to God.
-
But right now I'm going after the soul. Nothing can
-
tell you what they said. Tell it is not my congregation.
-
Do you sing about it? Tell you time about a day?
-
You do what I gotta do? The said said it,
-
what's you better? But call one upon the name of
-
the color Lord.
-
So God comes so much creation, and creation would respond.
-
God would call onto that that was in his command,
-
and it would respond.
-
But this morning God said, reach up to my reaching
-
down here, I'm seeking to save that which is lost.
-
Friends.
-
Spiritually speaking, if you don't know up from them, if
-
you're willingly calling evil good and good evil, there's people
-
that would say, I don't agree with the lifestyle of
-
those within the LGBTQ community.
-
But if you are passively.
-
Allowing them as the minority boys to take over our country,
-
to who are God's enemy? Because God's people will always
-
stand up, and they will speak out, and they won't
-
rise up together him holiday against the evil doer. And
-
I want you to know, if you're not for God,
-
you're against him till you may sit on offense. And
-
a lot of people may choose to sit on a pencil.
-
But if you're on offence, if you're like us, it'll winow.
-
Sela looking at the ready, they got you all good.
-
I lets you and he ain't for him. Here against him, brother,
-
But if you're not calling out on him, then here
-
against him. I called on him about a hundred times
-
this afternoon. God, you gotta help me. I gotta burn
-
to preach to somebody has been everybody they stunt. I
-
gotta burn to preach to somebody whose actions has called.
-
You God to summons me how to my sweet sleep
-
and to preach to them. Mama, it's an indictment, and
-
it's to your shame if you have not talked, you,
-
little girl, how to say the name Jesus he calls
-
the Bible said, concerning.
-
The name of the Lord, it is a strong talent.
-
The roteous run into it had mark saying, even the
-
thief on the cross, the calls of the pressing. It's
-
like I said to Jesus, had a chance, and I'm
-
telling you you ain't given her and print you ain't
-
given him a chance. He went the two teens had
-
a cross at the last minute.
-
Had a chance? Why for you're not calling that coming
-
main for the Lord.
-
I got a cousin in these parts because Mama wanted
-
to be this obedient.
-
Because Mama wanted to live her life.
-
Because Mama wanted to be stubborn and kicking against the
-
off gold of the Holy Ghost.
-
She went out into the world.
-
And you know, Mama is no longer in church as
-
far as I know. It's been about fifty years. And
-
Mama hasn't been the church but maybe a couple of times,
-
most of them being four funerals and Brother Cameral. I've
-
got a cousin my age. It's just turned fifty and
-
she's only been to.
-
A church service about a dozen times in her life.
-
Probably half of them was when she would visit me here,
-
I would say, let's go to church.
-
Do you know it's a shame that Mama knew what
-
it was like to see those that were sick come
-
into church and to see them call on the name
-
of the Lord, and to mean here to see them
-
calling come.
-
The Lord in the time of trouble. But mama walked
-
out and now her daughter that's my age, don't even
-
know she can call it Holy Lord. I like what
-
the songwriter said, I could call Lord Jesus here in time,
-
Yes I can. Why I want you to do that
-
because I know he's a present help here the time
-
of all Well reasons why I'm serving God and the
-
soul out as I.
-
Am, Because I know behind Jerry Charity there are six
-
little children.
-
They'll be brought into this world and I know they're
-
seventeen or eighteen grandchildren that their parents brought into this world.
-
And I want you to know something.
-
There is some young people in the corners of hill
-
right now and they're calling on mama.
-
And they're calling on daddy because they're not all together.
-
They really sure that they could have called on the
-
name Jesus. And they're looking at somebody that did.
-
Offer them security when they were a certain of their surroundings.
-
They're calling for a daddy that may not have paid
-
child support, but they knew it Puss come to shove,
-
he would be there.
-
But there's no mama to comfort, and there's no day
-
to protect. And I'm telling you, wouldn't it be awful.
-
For somebody's child to find themselves in guilt and the
-
flames of hell and have nobody.
-
To call on to. They'll come home now to be
-
too late, then that.
-
If they pinued out that the most curse name in
-
hell is jeez, they called on at the ill, leave me.
-
Too late, and I'll tell us somebody here today, you've
-
better called on him now. Apparently that's a lasting too late.
-
But I'll never go here, brother, how I'll preach again.
-
That's all right, that's all right.
-
Apparently I've got megachurch pastors listening to my preaching, and
-
apparently they're getting convicted, and.
-
Apparently they're praying some things through thank God. But you
-
know what the saying goes like this. You can lead
-
a horse to wander, but you can't make him drink,
-
and I can't make you call upon the name of
-
the Lord.
-
I remember being in high school and we would fingers
-
with a classmate, and when we lock fingers with a classmate,
-
we would begin to squeeze the fingers of each other,
-
hoping that somebody sooner or later would call it quits
-
and say the word peanut butter on the word of.
-
Mercy and went on.
-
What whoever was winning had the word for the other
-
person to speak.
-
And I'm telling you right now, God's.
-
Got somebody left hand a hand and you better say mercy,
-
and you better say God.
-
I call it quits with this world. I call it.
-
Lifestyle and said quits. I understand that I gotta do whatever.
-
It is I need to do. So these religious people
-
have got on their religious clothes. They got on their
-
church clothes, and they're coming.
-
They're rich and increase with goods and they don't need
-
anything and ain't saff Apparently in the back room where
-
assault leaders, why our roads are?
-
And brother, I tell you, he gets inspired and he
-
starts saying things that God has said. He's got the
-
mind of the Lord.
-
Oh, come on my will tonight it's for us to
-
shell and to praise God. But God suit me this
-
afternoon to tell somebody you matter. Listen, you make God upset.
-
God came to you alive, God take to you.
-
And I said, God under the leaves and poured his
-
goldy What are you gonna do with it?
-
Says the what these people thought, just because they showed
-
up with a gold on the leash that they were
-
doing their duties. Your religious duties is not enough. Paying
-
hommons to the House of God is not enough. Periodically,
-
paying your pilgrimage to the House of God is not enough.
-
Every now and then, dragging somebody against a will, whether
-
person or goat, with a spiritual goat or natural gird,
-
it is not email. The Lord makes it clear that
-
these people think he needs something to them. I've said
-
it before, I'm indispensable.
-
Doesn't that mean I can be spent?
-
How is that the word? I mean?
-
I don't feel like God just has to have me
-
pastor in his church. I don't feel like God. These brothers,
-
you're ama running the same system. I don't feel like God.
-
And these mother Jonathan's standing up and a man in
-
the pastor God will always be God.
-
And God was snapping his finger and telling everybody We're
-
not gonna focus on praise and focus on prayer.
-
I'm gonna ask you a question. What do you have
-
to offer me? God? Saying what do you have to
-
offer me? What do I need from a little pian
-
like you? What do I need?
-
And God, there's two things He's depending on of humanity.
-
One of them is gratitude, and the second is a
-
desire for a relationship with him.
-
Call upon the Lord, he said, it upon the Lord.
-
That thing having there on the clause, Brother Jesse, he
-
told the other thief on the other side of Jesus.
-
He said, Hey, this man right here didn't deserve this
-
style execution. This man not here in the middle between
-
us didn't deserve to be treated like that. I want
-
to tell you here to night. God's angry with you.
-
His son didn't deserve to be treated the way you're
-
treating him. His son didn't deserve for you to throw
-
your nose up. But that sacrificial, my own offering that.
-
He gave for you.
-
He pushed all the blood, the rose of blood of
-
bulls and goats, the lambs.
-
Out of the way, and he lepered up his veins
-
for you.
-
Then, I always ever asked for, it is for you
-
to love it, homies, ever asked for.
-
It's for you to pick up your spiritual gold and
-
call him what's and alife and my God, Kevin, I
-
don't learn about you, but I never call him here
-
a dailybody said, I hung up right here on this.
-
Don't think you doing something for God because you went
-
to church on Eastern and Christmas. Hey, man, I heard
-
somebody just a couple of days ago, set back in
-
the day, back in the day we celebrated Halloween.
-
And the Church of God. And I knew that was right.
-
And you know what this assembled a god pastor's wife
-
was trying to speak and the generation before.
-
Her had a representative there and that don't represent it.
-
It was gonna take us on the money trail and
-
kind of explain.
-
How sister so and so did it, and that assembled
-
that God passed.
-
His wife said, no, hold on right here, back in
-
the days we did celebrate Halloween. And she goes on
-
and says, we dressed up and everything.
-
But she said, now here disassumed in God, we don't participate.
-
In Halloween, and we don't dress up for Halloween.
-
Why don't you realize you participating in Halloween would be
-
like opinions coming to church on Easter Sunday.
-
It don't happen. And I wanted their life.
-
Have you taught you a tow to dress out have
-
upon some unholy day? Hey, come on, now, I'm telling
-
you recalling this can recall in now, But why do
-
we not call upon the Lord. I haven't seen any
-
Truman's coming to bath and on Easter Sunday, I ain't
-
seen that. Hainan O knowledgures come to Bethel on Christmas Sunday.
-
But you know what, they'll do everything they can to
-
stay out of the House of God on Sunday. All
-
he asked was remember the Sabbath day to keep them holy.
-
All he asked was take one day of that week
-
and gathered together in My name, depart from iniquity and
-
worship me. Let me take you back to the beginning
-
of time, when God was running his fingers across the
-
throne in glory, that he decided to create humans, you know,
-
mortal beings, and what he was looking.
-
For was somebody with a free will that would call
-
on him when they needed something. And the Bible said,
-
what he created Adam. And then when he fashioned Eve
-
from the red.
-
To atom, that them two would be walking through the
-
God in the cool of the days, and God would
-
show up and he would walk with him.
-
My old sister, would I wonder.
-
How many times was Can sitting in the portals of
-
Larry and he told you to learn the.
-
Antelope and such come along just for a minute. I
-
heard that him call me.
-
I heard out of that fellowship, I heard out of
-
their sleep comunion. That's wouldn't be good. That's different little
-
babies and it bears and girls. That's befall us too late, that's.
-
Heart too half.
-
What's that kind of a relationship good? That wouldn't be
-
like I put on me to say, that's good.
-
Down, let's go with me. That's I go with God.
-
Then one day Adam and Eve decide to transgress and
-
go against God was saying. And you know what, Adam
-
was covered up in guilt, and Adam was swallowing up
-
in shame. And God sitting affair in the throne room
-
of that celestial city, and he's waiting on Adam's call.
-
But you know what, Adam don't call, And the Bible
-
sending Adam and his wife Eve were hiding.
-
He calls on a daily basis. They had an appointment with.
-
God, and God evacuates if you would, I know, he's
-
everywhere at all times, but God in his body, he
-
evacuates Heaven and he starts looking for a small comfort
-
clay that he fashioned with his own word and be
-
a rod calf one that he breathed the breath of
-
life into his nostrils, and a heart was formed.
-
And beating, and then us some lungs they come on, and.
-
It's some beings begin, of course, and he's looking for Adam.
-
He's looking for at him, but there's no call coming forth.
-
And God says, Adam, where on now?
-
And that's what I felt this afternoon, now, this morning,
-
and again tonight. You've been given an opportunity to say,
-
here I am God, Here I am God.
-
He's missing calling up this day a man. Oh, I
-
feel the Holy goos in this place. It brings my
-
heart to thank you that Adam's playing hide and seek
-
with God. And God says, seek and you'll find me.
-
I'm not far from every one of you. Just seek me.
-
It's not hard to run into God. Every man is
-
on a collision course with God.
-
God is everywhere at the whole times. All God do
-
is call upon him. Feel active, you'll find it. He's
-
not far from you.
-
So God, literally, if you would, God slides all these
-
sacrificial operas to the side, and he says, you know what,
-
this ain't working anyway, it's not enough, and it's not
-
changing your heart. Thus the need for the substitutionary sacrifice himself,
-
your Savior, Jesus. And I'm preaching a message the Holy
-
Ghost titled summoning the Savior Holy Jesus.
-
Pray for business Lord. I feel like God's about to
-
deal with somebody in a very special way.
-
In this som we find that God is looking for
-
people that will enter his gates with thanksgiving, and then
-
he's looking for.
-
Somebody that really wants to call on him.
-
Psalm fifteen fifteen cent and call upon me in the
-
day of trouble, I.
-
Will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify me. Rather you
-
have a heart full of gratitude, and you spend some
-
time calling on Him for help.
-
That have all of the things you're doing sacrificially, He
-
wants to help you. In this Psalm, he makes it
-
clear that he really doesn't need much from you, but
-
your adoration and your dependency on him.
-
God creating you to be dependent on him.
-
Brother Nathaniel, whenever he called for Adam, Adam, where ar
-
tell Adam by Jesus that was the first atom, and
-
the first atom decided to hide the second atom is Jesus.
-
God gave humanity another chance through the second atom. And
-
I want to tell you the second Adom that you
-
need to cald, the one you need the summons you'll.
-
Say, He's never hid from his father.
-
In fact, when he said into heaven, he sat down
-
at the right hand of his father, and he Decessor,
-
he is waiting to intercede on your behalf.
-
There is no.
-
Trouble amongst those that are born of women. It's too
-
great for God to handle.
-
I want to tell you God is bigger than.
-
Any problem that you have, any seeing problem or any
-
unperceived problem.
-
He is greater. Do you get what I'm saying tonight?
-
He wants to help you. He wants to help you.
-
He wants to help you. That's good news, isn't it. Listen,
-
I believe it's best for all of us to call
-
on Him as we walk through the gardens of life,
-
or as we go through the valleys of trouble in
-
this life. So fifteen fifteen, and call upon me in
-
that day of trouble.
-
Adam should have called upon him in the garden, in
-
the day of trouble, when Adam was not in trouble,
-
my Lord, But for whatever reason now is he's in
-
trouble and he's not calling on the Lord.
-
I can't believe the number of.
-
People over the years, sister, how I have seen piny
-
end up trouble, but for whatever reason.
-
They won't call upon the Lord like you know. Realize
-
all you gotta do is humble yourself and pray and
-
say I need help. Hey, assistance over.
-
Here, Hey, divide ain't over here, Hey, divide support over here.
-
Call upon me in the day of trouble, Friend, to
-
day of trouble will come too soon, soon enough, And
-
others that are in this building can tell you the
-
day of trouble has come and gone, only for them
-
to receive an invitation from trouble itself for a collision.
-
Just stuff to me. I'm telling you, trouble has a
-
way of circling back.
-
Trouble has a way of real But I'm telling you
-
God saying, God saying, invoke me, invite and invote me
-
to show up in your trouble.
-
Matthew fourteen twenty eight point thirty. The Bible teaches us
-
that Peter he wanted to be with the Lord. His
-
desire and motives was pure. He wasn't showing out in
-
front of his coworkers. He wasn't showing out in front
-
of his fellow disciples.
-
He truly wanted to walk with the Lord in the
-
midst of trouble. But whenever he focused on the sea
-
and the waves.
-
And when he focused on the wind, Sister Wombe, he
-
began to seek due to the fear of the wind
-
and the wise little brother, Hell, I'm afraid of what
-
people's gonna think about how my lifestyle is after.
-
I get saved. Are you serious? The night that I
-
got saved, I believe it was thirty three years ago.
-
It didn't matter if you weren't meant, But my lifestyle, y'all,
-
had to be pleasing the Lord is all that matters.
-
That I had been talking telling him on.
-
The daily basis, I'm in desperate, total need of him,
-
and I have no problem doing his bidding.
-
I've never been ashamed of my wife for being a holiness.
-
I've never looked for a way out of holiness.
-
I've never one time here behind the shelf in order
-
to not be identified with my.
-
Wife as a child of God. And and you know what,
-
Brother Jesse, the Bible.
-
Said that Peter, as he began to sink, he summons
-
the Savior, and I want you to know we can
-
square our shoulders, puff our chests out, lucome what's a
-
puffer fish, and we can act like we ain't got
-
no problems in our life. But Peter, you could deny,
-
could you? Because everybody notices if he's five put seven
-
as to how he pears to be five foot three,
-
and he appears now to be five.
-
Foot because he's sinking.
-
But I'm telling somebody today, today's services have not been coincidental,
-
that been prebidential.
-
And God knows you're beginning to sink. God knows you're
-
starting to use control that you better call on the Lord.
-
The on that you begin to sink the more the
-
very minute time you start losing control, you might have
-
called on the Lord.
-
Against Peter summons the Savior as he began to sink.
-
And he beginning to sink, raise the horror. Many people
-
in this building tonight may be in trouble.
-
Some may be having financial trouble, others may be having
-
health trouble. We've got some that are in rehabit, some
-
that are in the hospital right now do to that
-
kind of trouble.
-
And if you may be having relationship trouble.
-
Maybe it's not marital trouble, but maybe it's a relationship
-
problem with a sister, or with a brother, or a
-
co worker, or with the boss man. Nevertheless, why aren't.
-
You calling out on God in that kind of trouble?
-
If you're a parent, you're having a problem with your child.
-
Have you ever thought about summoning the aid of the
-
Lord God Almighty?
-
Have I ever thought about summoning the aid of the
-
Lord God Almighty?
-
Have you ever thought about invoking an interest in the scenor?
-
But that very word means deliverer, That very word means
-
a rescuer, that very word means helper in your power
-
of trouble. God's literally the one writing a song. God's
-
literally the one speaking the words of this song.
-
Are you getting God saying you're not deep in trouble?
-
And you better call upon me.
-
I'll tell you this one pinky toe beneath the earth crust.
-
It's too much decision because the Bible said Hell itself
-
has moved beneath our feet, and that Hell itself is
-
literally opening up to swallow the unbeliever and the unfaithful
-
and the unholy. Brother stared if I had one pinky
-
to getting in a crevice of a spiritual Worthquak if
-
I sense that the bottom was about to fall out
-
in my life, if I felt I was in the
-
currents of compromise and the world pools of life was
-
pulling me below the surface, I won't pull for you
-
one more time, God, being my healthare the Bible sent
-
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and
-
delivered him.
-
Out of all his trouble.
-
You have to be poor in spirit to cry out
-
to God. And over in the Bible do you find
-
where David's a pauper. He's a king.
-
He's a king, And it said blessed or the poor
-
weren't in spirit the.
-
Night that I got saved. I don't think I had
-
an enemy in the world. I don't think I had
-
a single health problem. I don't think I had a
-
relationship issue. I didn't have any children. I had a
-
fiance sit beside me. But Sister Wood, somehow something was
-
getting the best of me. I was getting miserable, I
-
was getting unsettled. I was getting troubled in my spirit.
-
And I'm telling you you may not be troubled now,
-
but you mark it down in.
-
Thirty days, you'll be troubled upstairs, say with the Lord.
-
Thirty days you'll be troubled upstairs, says the Lord, because
-
the only reason why you maintain your sanity is essentially.
-
Because of the goodness and.
-
Good I've heard the howl children before, holler across the house, Ma,
-
wearing my shoes? Mom, where's my favorite par of jeans.
-
I've heard the howell boys before. Say Dad, this fell
-
on me. Get me out from hundred please, Brother Jesse,
-
it's been what five or six years now since the
-
big balt fell on you. How much did that big
-
fault weigh estimated two thousand pounds best. It bounced on
-
your torso and on your abdomen. And as you laid
-
there underneath that crushing weight, you wiggled your toes because
-
you wondered, will I ever walk again? Do I have
-
feeling in my lower extrevities. But Brother Jesse, here's what's
-
coming to mind. This is coming to mind right now,
-
saying to me like, maybe God's gonna get somebody's attention,
-
or maybe somebody's gonna have to call out on God
-
in the very near future.
-
Brother Jesse said he wasn't expecting it. But that big
-
two thousand pound vault bounced off his body.
-
I guess it rested on part of his body actually
-
after it bounced, and he said, he began to wanderer.
-
Have I cressed my interest? Am I believing internally?
-
And sister whom he didn't call on, Jeremy Howe first
-
I'd have been there.
-
He didn't call on Charity Howe. She would have been there.
-
But it would have took.
-
Fifty minutes with the traffic fluid, with no bottle next him,
-
with no problems.
-
It had been fifty minutes. Once he did. You called
-
on the name of the Lord, and called on the
-
name of the Lord.
-
And then he said, after they called on the name
-
of the Lord, and he called on his big brother,
-
come here, brother Jamia, brother Jesse.
-
You were in a time of distress.
-
You called on your spiritual big brother, and you called
-
on your natural big brother.
-
And your big brother said, I gotta be careful how
-
I picked this up, and how I shift.
-
The weight, because if one corner gets two thousand pounds
-
on it, it will crush his lip. At the other
-
corner gets two thousand pounds on it, it will explode
-
his becap and sister wood Jeremah said, even though it
-
was Christening.
-
I had to be careful the way I lifted the burden,
-
he said.
-
A careless person would have snatched it to own it
-
to a Christian.
-
And I want you to know this is why you
-
call upon the name of the Lord it times of
-
distress to limit it and trouble, because God knows how
-
to lift it. I said. God knows how to lift it. God,
-
he said, cast all the care a pardon me. That's
-
what I care for you, that God cares for you. Tonight,
-
you over there, lets tell Jesus Abdic. He knows how
-
to solve it. Let's stand to night. Our tis you
-
just said, call on him.
-
Be in the time of trouble, and I will deliver
-
thee he said, and I shall glorify me.
-
Jesus said, my sheet, I hear, I hear the sound
-
of the voices.
-
I guarantee you that I could be in a third
-
world country where McDonald's in walwork doesn't even know what
-
a business are restricted. I'm telling you I know out
-
of these seventy to eighty parishioners here right now, I
-
have communicated with you, and you have communicated with me.
-
And I guarantee you, if you were in a crown
-
of five thousand, if you were to call pastor, I
-
would recognize your man.
-
I know that, I have no doubt at all about it.
-
I would recognize your voice. I would recognize the sound
-
of your voice. Let me say it again. I would
-
recognize the sound of your voice.
-
And I want you to know.
-
God knows the number of the stars. God knows the
-
name of those stars are a number, and God knows
-
your name, and God knows the sound of your voice.
-
But why has God not heard you call his name with.
-
The sound of that voice? And for the simple one.
-
You may think you're big, bad and indestructible, and then
-
nothing will happen to you horrible.
-
I told you about horrible things happening to good people.
-
What the difference was.
-
They had somebody to call old. Let me tell you
-
again about that horrible pit, that the how the family
-
sunk in We had a little baby jet to dye
-
in our arms, an infant, just a lie of about
-
twelve or fourteen hours. Let me tell you about some
-
more horrible things, like the how old family has that happened?
-
My son Jesse in a wreck head on collision, I
-
saw helicopters flying overhead. Rather just if I'm not mistaking,
-
somebody might have flewn away from that wreck in a helicopter,
-
and I remember thanking God, you weren't in that helicopter.
-
Let me tell you about some more horrible things that
-
have happened to brother sister Howell.
-
On a Saturday morning, I felt lad to play on
-
the piano.
-
And sing a song which lyrics go like this, men's
-
hearts are failing them the whole world round. And my
-
dear mother in law was in there calling and trying
-
to get a hold of us. As we were outside
-
after playing and singing, and I.
-
Told Jeerny, I feel like I need to go check
-
the phone. The van has cranked.
-
Six kids were in their car seats, and I walk
-
in after unlock in the locks out of that house,
-
and I go to the answer machine and I hit played,
-
and there was my dear mother in law that I
-
saw a couple of days ago.
-
And here's what she's said, cherney eats you, daddy, and
-
don't look good. Come on, and we headed out.
-
Instead of going to good Will and threst stores of Walmart,
-
we headed to the hospital and halfway there, her sister
-
called said, I need to speak with Jeremy. I got
-
on the phone and then I spoke with their pastor.
-
He said, Jeremy, Charity needs to know he didn't make it.
-
And outside of a place of business with no one around,
-
and I pulled in a parking lot and heard my
-
wife mourn, heard her morn and squeal and scream and.
-
Cry, Daddy, I loved you, Daddy. He couldn't hear.
-
And I want you to know there's never a predicament
-
or a situation that the child of God can find
-
themself in that your spiritual Father can't help you through them.
-
And there's people in this building right now praying. Tears
-
are flowing down faces. Some are speaking in the Holy
-
ghost as the spirit gives the utterance.
-
Some have stammered limps. Others know that God is not
-
playing with somebody in the night. And I'm going to
-
tell you you aren't deserving of all the good things
-
God has done for you.
-
We're undeserving, and He demands gratitude as a result of
-
his goodness. And I will walk you back to the
-
fortieth son. David said, I waited patiently.
-
On the Lord.
-
I ain't climbing under him, He ain't cloud under me.
-
He hurt my prayer, I'm paraphrasing. And then he began
-
the rescue process. He lifted me up and out of
-
a horrible pit and out of the berry claim, and
-
he set my feet upon the rock. He put a
-
noose on him. My heart even praise under my God.
-
And that's what it said right here in the fiftieth song,
-
Asaph is God Speaking, wrote, and after I delivered you,
-
you'll feel like saying, God, how.
-
Do they who?
-
And the greatest burden I've ever had has been being unsaved.
-
The sinner that has a vault bounce off.
-
Their chest has no one to call on. Do you know?
-
The Bible said that you can push God so long
-
and so far away that whenever the thing you fear
-
the most comes upon you. And it's both lamitous that
-
he will refuse to hear in that day. But now
-
he stretched out his hand and said, I will help you.
-
I'll help you live separated, I will help you live right.
-
This one has hit the altars. There another among seventy
-
or eighty, I say there's at least three afford of
-
these that here hit the altar.
-
Mean and fall at it and pray, and I'll knail
-
at your pew unashamedly.
-
The same way he took that cross and walked down
-
and up and around the corners and my cup again
-
until he cressed Cavalry's brown and got nailed to that
-
cross unashamedly. You want to walk to the altar the
-
same way he walked to the place of sacrifice. There's
-
two in the altar right now.
-
I've delivered my burden.
-
I feel better, and I'm ready to glorify the Lord.
-
If it's marital trouble, he'll take care.
-
Of it, says to how And I don't have any
-
marital trouble. If it's financial trouble, he'll take care of it.
-
If it's health trouble, he'll take care of it tonight.
-
If it's spiritual trouble, he'll take care of it to night.
-
Oh my god, I'm in heavily wether Nathaniel. I know
-
this isn't going over their head.
-
The Bible said, it's a fearful thing to fall into
-
the hands of the living God.
-
It's not me. The sentences people to Hell. I'm just
-
a mail man. It's not me. The sentences people to
-
hell is God. Jesus is the judge. And you know
-
why he's.
-
Qualified for you to stand before him in judgment, because
-
he gave his life. You summoning the aid of the
-
Lord God Almighty. There's five people in these altars, three
-
men and two women.
-
I want them to cry into the Lord.
-
They're broken in spirit, they're broken hearted, crowding to the
-
Lord and he hurt them and delivering them out of
-
their trouble. Somebody come to the altar. Is there another
-
Maybe you're saved and they're dealing with help trouble.
-
Maybe you've got some other concern. Something's bothering you. Mind trouble,
-
mind battles, anguish.
-
Sorrow, back sliding children are troubling your mind.
-
The lost loved ones are trouble in your mind. Maybe
-
there's others. Yeh see, there's about fourteen of you up here.
-
Now we've got some things to pray a back.
-
Bring your burdens to the Lord, bring your concern turns
-
to the Lord.
-
I want us to spend some time praying in this
-
building tonight. Take it to Jesus. Take it to Jesus.
-
Praise the Lord
