Cheerful While In A Cyclone - Pastor J. D. Howell 1-25-2026

That's a message the Holy Ghost titled cheerful while in

a cyclone. Cheerful while in a cyclone? Will you turn

with me to the Book of Acts. May I direct

your attention to chapter number twenty seven. We will be

specifically looking at verses number twenty two and twenty five.

We will read verses number fourteen through twenty three. Brother Nathaniel,

John chapter number sixteen and verse number thirty three, And

Brother Jesse Acts, chapter number sixteen and verse number twenty eight.

Brother Nathaniel, would you read that tonight, John sixteen and

thirty three. My brother, these things have I spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace in the world.

You shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I

have overcome the world, all right. So Jesus had some disciples,

men who dedicated their lives to following him as he

ministered for some three three and a half years, And

after he was crucified, buried, and resurrected, he bid this

world goodbye, and he let them know I'm ascending to

my father, and I'm gonna send the Holy Ghost down.

While he is getting ready to make his departure to

go be seated at the right hand of the Father.

He speaks these words to them, be of good cheer.

I don't know about you all, but I would need

to hear those very words, be of good cheer. If

my dear Savior, who I gave up everything to follow,

is departing this world for another world, I would like

to tether myself to him and ask him to take

me with him.

So be of good cheer.

I wouldn't need the Lord to speak those comforting words

to me.

Be of good cheer.

Brother Jesse, Acts chapter number sixteen and verse number twenty eight.

But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, do thyself

no harm, for we are all here. Don't y'all believe?

In this difficult situation, the Philippian jailer found comfort in

the words, the spoken words of the apostle Paul in

this moment of crisis. You and I cannot relate to

what was going on in the mind of this Philippian

jailer at that very moment. While the church, so to speak,

Paul and Silas were having a breakthrough or a jail break.

In the words of the country preacher, there was somebody

just next door, maybe a sell or, to just over

that were going through a crisis in the apostle Paul.

Even though it was a damp, darkened prison at that time,

he deserned there was somebody in need. In the spirit

of God spoke that word of comfort to him and said,

do yourself no harm. Thank God, he didn't commit suicide

that night. Us stand for the reading of our golden

texts Acts, chapter number twenty seven, beginning with verse number fourteen,

the Bible said, but not long after there arose against

it a tempestuous wind called your rocledon, and when the

ship was caught and could not bear up into the wind,

we let her drive, and running under a certain island,

which is called Clauda, we had much work to come

by the boat, which when they had taken up, they

used helps undergirding the ship, and fearing lest they should

fall into the quicksand straight sail, and so were driven,

and we being exceedingly tossed with the tempest, the next

day they lightened the ship, and the third day we

cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship.

And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared

and no small tempests lay on us, all hoped that

we should be saved was taken away. But after long abstinence,

Paul stood forth in the midst of them and said, sirs,

ye should have hearkened unto me and not have loosed

from crete, and to have gained this harm and lost.

And now I exhort you to be of good cheer,

for there shall be no loss of any man's life

among you, but of the ship. For there stood by

me this night, the Angel of God, whose I am

and whom I serve, saying, fear not, Paul thout must

be brought before Caesar. And lo, God hath given Thee

all them that sail with THEE. Wherefore, sirs, be of

good cheer. For I believe God that it shall be,

even as it was told me. I could hear sister

Wooton all day long, say and be of good cheer.

Be of good cheer. I plan to preach tonight on

the latter reign. In about an hour before where church

started tonight, God said, preach on that what have been

letting you here inside, sister Irish, saying, be a good cheer.

So here we go, be a good cheer. All right,

Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We thank

you for everything that you've done. God, we thank you

for the opportunity to be in this thy house. We

pray that you would anoint this thy servant. Lord, brother Nathaniel,

talk to us about being a servant of God. I

want to try to do that. Would you help me

set a guard at my mouth, help me to say

the things you would have me to say, nothing more

or less. Annoint the ears of this thy people, thy servants,

that they might hear what the Spirit of God says

unto the church.

And let these.

Sayds go below the shoulders that saturate the spirit and

the soul. Let it get in that heart. I pray God,

may we be doers and not hearers only. May we

depart depart this place joyfully and not sorrowly. Jesus' name

in the church said hey, man, as you're being seated,

look at your neighbor and say hey, neighbor, Like sister

Wooton said, be of good cheer.

Why not right?

So notice that expression of that phrase in verses number

twenty two and twenty five of the twenty seventh chapter

of the Book of Acts. Our text is found in

a New Testament Book of the Holy Bible. The Book

of Acts is a most interesting read because in it

we find chronicles of the history of the early Church.

How many history buffs do we have in this church

house tonight? I am a history buff. I love hearing

of individual's history. I love hearing of nation's history. I

love hearing of church history. And certainly this was an

exciting opportunity that the doctor Luke embraced when he realized

eyes he could dig into the history of the early Church,

and that he could be introduced to these very eccentric

yet highly anointed characters that were involved in leadership of

the early Church and the men that Jesus Christ himself

had sanctioned and ordained to establish that church that would

be built upon Jesus the Rock, and that promise was

given that the gates of Hell would not prevail against it.

So the doctor doctor Luke he closed his medical practice,

even though he would have had a five star review

if he lived in this day and hour.

He's a beloved position.

But there was something more fascinating that deserved his focus

and his attention, and that was the study of the

early Church. Not only did he study the early Church,

he studied the God of Jesus Christ, and he interviewed

many eye and ear witnesses, people that had heard Jesus

Christ preach. They had listened to him teach, they had

heard him speak words of both condemnation and comfort.

Oh how beautiful it.

Must have been to hear the Savior sing a hymn

that day. Oh how wonderful it must have been for Peter,

James and John to accompany him to the garden of

Gassemine and see him in great anguish and travail of soul,

get a hold of the prayer bell of heaven and

put a hole through the sky, and petition his Father

for all of his followers, including you and I. Luke

was quite fascinated with all of the things involved in

the early Church. Not only was he fascinated with the

leadership and the disciples of Jesus Christ and the gospel

of Jesus Christ, but he was fascinated with this.

Outpouring of the Holy Ghost.

For he noticed them that during this outpouring of the

Holy Ghost, a great commission was given to all disciples

of the Lord, that everybody was to do their part,

to enter the highways and to go through the hedges

and preach the Gospel. He realized every person was commissioned

to carry a bag of gospel seed and to sow

that seed wherever they went. In fact, I want to

commend somebody in this building. Tonight, About an hour and

a half before the service started, a strange number text

my phone and they said, is this Pastor Howell? And

I said it is? Is that a good or a bad thing?

You never know as a holiness preacher what somebody wants

to tell you.

And they said, some man in your church handed.

Me a tract and own that tract was the information

for the church. And we've been praying, and we want

to come to your church, and hopefully in the very

near future we'll be able to visit.

I said, by all means.

Would have come to the House of God and take

your liberty to worship with us, all because somebody understood

the commission was not only given to men like Paul

and Peter, whom Luke studied their lives, but to people

like you and I. People of every generation have carried

the good News or the Gospel of Jesus Christ, spreading

it across to the country and whatever the whole Holy

Ghost equips those people and enables and empowers them. The

gospel message will spread like wildfire, as a wildfire would

go through a wilderness which.

Hasn't had a drop of rain.

Can I tell you that we, as citizens of Pinrick County,

are under a fire band. But the Lord has never

paid any attention to any notice by the devil or

his hitchmen of a fireband concerning the wi power which knows.

No boundary, Holy fire of God.

This was a time when the Gospel was carried across land.

And see for the first time, truly, as the Lord

Jesus had said, they were in fact his witnesses in Jerusalem,

in Jubia, in Samaria, and unto the ends of the utmost.

Parts of the earth.

I could see it as the Beloved position put in

the parchment and checked off the box, and he said, yes,

they are doing exactly as they were commanded to do. Yes,

they are in fact obedient service, and they are compelled

to the spiritum to spread the Gospel. These apostles were

as a holy ghost arsonist, and they were setting the

world a blaze for Christ. One service had a time.

In fact, according to the Sacred writt, you will find

that Peter and John they built a holy Ghost of

bonfire in Jerusalem and several other cities during the force

of their ministry. What about that great Man of God

fill up the evangelist whom I name my son actor

well him in that notable holy ghost Fieldeacon. They set

their parts up Jerusalem and Samaria and Judea ablaze. In fact,

when Steven wasn't ministering to the widow of the Early Church,

he was upsetting the religious leaders of Judaism. Can I

tell you these apostles have proved to us the words

of Jesus to be true, that they will hate you

without a calls and most of the timer it is

familiar friends a lot of times as religious people. It

doesn't stop there with men that were holy Ghost of

Us and us going around.

And spreading revival.

You will remember those two apostles and commission to take

the gospeler to the Gentiles.

Both Paul and Peter spent time setting.

Holy Ghost of fires in Damascus today, Judea, Antioch, Jerusalem

and the other parts within Asia.

But Paul went a little further.

He kept setting fires abraza in parts of Europe and

Asia minter. But it does not stop there. The great

Apostle PAULA appealed to Caesar, and the Caesar he would go.

Both Man and God would see to it that he

would arrive in Roma safely. There was an appointed place,

a point of timer, and an appointing message where Paul

needed to be and what Paul needed to preach. And

he planted a torture in a room a holy ghost.

Torture was burning and a blazing. But the context of

our message tonight is nearing a particular trip. While the

Apostle Paul was going to do what the Holy Ghost

had told him he would do, he came across to

something that was most difficult during this time of his ministry.

He encountered a storm. I feel like there's somebody in

this building tonight. Even though the church has shouted the

high praises of God for nearly three hours collectively, today,

there's somebody honder her black cloud for lightning, this flashing,

and the thunder is rolling. I've been preaching to the

low sheep for the last few weeks, but tonight I

want to preach to the ninety nine, those obedient, faithful

servants of God, that, for whatever reason, you have found

yourself in the storm of your life. Brother Philip, you

shared with us tonight that one night God moved on

your pastor to tell you the cancer that you were

battling was not a result of some sin or trespassion

that you had committed against God.

And Brother Philip said.

He found a sweet comfort and consolation in knowing that

that cancer was not sit by God.

I want you to know, Mother Philip, he is a

kindly man.

He's a God fearing man, but he found himself in

a storm. I've talked, and there's somebody to night under

the sound of my voice. There are no strong winds

in this building there that some know not know of.

But I feel in my soul that there are some

that are not concernible. While your brother and sister in

our texture and in the scripture reading, they call it

a tempestuous wind.

This is a cyclone.

I don't know how it could be that among seventy

five to eighty people to night them that there could

be somebody in this building called up in a cyclone

that I want to tell you. God said, be cheerplel

in the cyclone, just go ahead and be of good cheer,

for the Lord has covered you. Where is his father, Amen,

it's a brother, Nathan. You explained us that we are

the servants of God and we are to do his bidding.

And you know what, sometimes when we, as the servants

of God, are doing his bidding, we encounter unexpected circumstances, difficulties,

and trials. I remember when the ten Boom family was

going around telling people about their experience in Hitler's concentration

camp Ravensbrook. They were in that concentration camp, and Corey

ten Boom would tell concerning her sister Bessie. She said, Bessie,

in the first hour of us being in that concentration camp,

Bessie began to quote repeatedly her favorite verse, verse US

Alone ins chapter number five, in verse number eighteen, and

she would say, in everything, give thanks for this is

the will of God concerning you. And Corey said, I

would look at the lieson the fleas that were in

that dormitory, and she said, I would say, there is

no use for these little creatures. They are nothing but

useless little pest, and they have no purpose at all.

Why did God make them?

And she said, within an hour I was sulken and

I was in bitterness. But Bessie kept me siting repeatedly

in everything, give thanks, oh, thank God, this is the

will of Jesus Christ concerning you. And it was years

after Papa and Bessie's.

Death, whenever a warden in a prison God.

Had become born again approached the best of Cory tin

Boom and they said, do you know your sister was right?

And because there were times that the warden wanted to

go in there and interrupt whatever was going on, but

because of the lies and the fleas, the guards would

tell the warden, We're not gonna go in there. And

the word would say, well, if you're not gonna go

in there, I'm not gonna go in there. And Corey said,

we were able to have Bible studies and to.

Hide our Bibles in our bunks.

I want you to know, for the faint of heart,

the Bible said, a few faint in the day of adversity,

thy street is small. I don't know what is going

on in this light skin, the weak skin, the generation

they get church her over every little thing.

I mean, are you serious?

And all you're saying is I find in the day

didversity and my streak is small. And how was that

gonna measure up when messy tim Boone's called to the

witness stand in glory and she testifies a or gets

you that says, steering the cyclone of hidden this holocaust, I.

Fail peace like a reaper. I found joy, that's d

speak of all, and we were fool. Oh good chair.

It's easy right now to say I don't have any

reason at all whatsoever to praise the Lord. I don't

have any any feelings at all right now concerning worship

of praising the Lord.

And I believe that.

I believe there's somebody that's about to let your situation

take you down to the ocean floor.

If you're not careful, it will.

But I want you to know, ever since the days

of the Early Church and the Apostles, the Church has

suffered persecution. The godly, the Christian will suffer persecution. It

is true that during the time of the early Church

evangelistic outreach efforts, many souls were saved, and they were sanctified.

And spirit filled. And during that time.

They also went through significant challenges and hardships.

And I can tell you they.

Had more of a reason to pray for the things

that they were unduring than you do. Because you have

a hard time working over time and paying your mortgage.

I'm gonna say it again, the Christians of this generation

are so fragile. I mean, I tell you Cory and

Bessie tim Boon could coast.

Right through your life.

They could coast right through your circumstances. The Bible said,

if you faint in the day adversity, thy strength to small.

We've already said that, But it also said, if you

can't run in the days of the footman up, if

you have a hard time keeping up during that time,

how are you gonna do in the days of the horsemen.

We're living in the in time. We're living in the

last of the days. I'm telling you here the night,

we've got every reason or to lift up our head,

have a smile on our face because of our redemption,

draw us nigh. These men had to overcome some things,

and I know we had overcome some things tonight. I

had to overcome a bad headache before a preach, and

you know what, God's taken that away tonight. Some of

you had to overcome muscle aches and maybe muscle spasms

in order to worship the Lord. These men and women

had to overcome language barriers, these men and women needed resources.

Just like you do.

Apostle Paul spoke of some churches being good givers, and

he spoke of other churches not given. I mean, I'm

telling you they had to have resources the same way

you and I do. But the difference in them in

us is this. Many were severely beaten, and there were

many that were persecuted, and there were many.

That were martyr for their faith.

Our golden texts had some light on certain situations that

some of these great men, including the Apostle Paul, suffered

during their earthly ministry. And Apostle Paul faced a two

week long ship has come on shaken, a cyclone named

your Rocldan. He faced a situation that most of Versa

would not have even survived. Oh come on now, I'm

gonna kiel you. Before you declare it to be man

overboard and every man for himself, you better get a

white knuckle grip on some banister here in the old

Gospel shipper, and get ready to ride out the storm.

A storm is not always the result of a sin.

The storm is sometimes the result of someone else's bad choices.

People are in storms right now because somebody else made

a bad decision. But ride out your storm and be

off good cheer. Ride out your storm and be off

good cheer. In the middle of this storm, the Apostle

Paul would have heard some two hundred and seventy six

men asking themselves questions. One of them questions would have been,

how is this going to turn out for us? I'm

sure it was as divided as the United States Congress is.

I'm sure there were some that were saying, we should

have never launched this boat, we should have never set sail.

There were some that was on the minister side, and

there would have been some on the mariner side. There

were some on the apostle or the Prophet's side, and

some on the captain of the ship side. But ultimately

the captain made this decision. It was his choice to say,

I am a seafaring man. I know these waters better

than the Apostle Paul. Some of you bought tickets on

my boat that I captain launched the boat, and we're

gonna sell an Apostle Paul's head. But I've been reced

and I perceive that this voyage will bring forth some

sort of suppering, and that will result in shipwreck or

something and they get out there in the middle of

that journey, and it seems to be a smooth sailing process.

In the south wind begin to blow softly. And I

wonder if that mariner, chewing on a toothpick, said, something's

a little different, something's happening that I did not anticipate.

Maybe he spoke to the navigator and said, what about

the water currents, and what about our present location? What

look out of the sky, your captain, and tell me

what is going on. The ship is a little more

difficult to steer because against the sails is a wind

that I did not expect. And let me preach to

the one the backslider. Hey, I've been preaching to the

ninety nine, But let me preach to the one black

sheep or that wayward lamb.

You can do things your way.

If you walk to you can be the captain from

your own ship if you walk too. But if before

too long, you will realize her. You are caught in

the middle of the storm because you over road what

God said. You're over road what God's man said. It

will not happen without incidentta a consequence. You've heard pastors

say before I talked, told you not to marry that boy.

You've heard pastors say before, I told you nothing to

marry that girl. And it happens. You know what breaks

loose pandemonium. The ship has sails on it and they're

whipping in the wind, and they're threatened to bust, has

threatened to rip apart. It's a horrible situation. And the

ministers on board and the mariners and what is it?

What's going on? I can hear sister whooping again, saying

be a good cheer, and I kind of feel like

the Holy Ghost dealt with me about an hour and

a half before church started that Paul was no stranger

to difficult situations. And I feel like in his memory

he began to pull up some archives and he got

to thinking about him and Silas being in a prison,

being locked up and shot back to the innermost part

of the prison and having his wrist and his ankles

fettered and shackled, and him being anchored to the floor,

and him and Paul in Silas singing and praising the

Lord and having prayer meeting, and the spirit of God

got to move and oh, come on now, and you

know what happened. There was a jail break right, and

every person that was in that jail house, they had

their shackles and their bands unloosed, and they're walking around.

There's no doubt after an earthquake, it's darkened there. Everybody's

got an opportunity to break jail. Everybody's got an opportunity

to escape. And Apostle Paul just herds them all in

and carouse them over there in his cell. And about

the time the Philippian jailer goes to take his life

because he is sure everybody's already vacated the facility, Apostle

Paul in the spirit he says, do thyself no harm.

And the Philippian jailer he comes to the feet of

Apostle Paul in the midst of this horrible earthquake, and

he asked the question, what must I do to be saved?

I wonder what was it that they were singing in

the innermost part of the prison. You ready for this, sir,

I wonder if you can handle it? An hour ago,

and the Holy Girl spoke to me and said, maybe

they were singing, So I'm not in one. He the

dwelling in the secret place of the Most High shall

abide under the shadow of them Almighty. I want you

to know, Apostle Paul knew from experience that Jesus walks in.

To differ culture Circumstantus.

When you needed to, he will meet you at your

lowest what them need?

Amen? Amen?

Amen. Corey and Bessie ten Boone heard the cyclone of

Pitler's Holocaust screaming in their ears, doubt and discouragement pounding

on their heart's door, no doubt suicide being committed by

countless thousands. But you know what they held on. They

held on till the storm was over. They held on

till the storm passed by. What about Paul and Silas

in prison bound? There is no doubt that was some

sort of mental cyclone going on. Why do they treat

us like this? Why do they treat us so bad?

Why are they putting us like the worst criminals in

the innermost part of the prison. But Paul knew who

they had been delivered, And I want you to know

I would suppose and surmise. I think it's a safe

assumption here to say that Apostle Paul had went missing,

and he had went to pray, and I believe he've

got to reminisceing just like David did when zick Lack

had been burned the fire, and everybody is disgruntled, disheveled, Oh,

come on now and disappointed and disgusted.

Are your women disappointed?

Disheveled, disgusted, just disgruntled? There thru and David took the

ephod and the Bible said. He encouraged himself in the Lord.

There was nobody patting him on the back. There was

nobody saying, get your harp and sing us a song,

sweet Simester of Israel. He just sits down there and

then he encourage himself and the Lord until he's willing

to ask God to do the impossible. And through words

of faith, he said, God, shall I pursue that? Truly,

it seemed like a futile effort. Did it knock to

his wife's are gone? His children are gone? And sister,

how a lot of people would say, why bother I

know of holiness and Pentecostal people. They have that attitude

and that mindset. You can see it during the move

of God. You can see that attitude during the revival them.

Why bother them? Why pursue? Why try to get up?

Why try to have a good attitude? I've got a

reason to sit right here and to give up. But

God said, yes, David, thank you for asking our parappraisal.

He said, yes, sir, thou shalt pursue him, and without

pair shall recover all.

I want to tell somebody here tonight.

It don't make any different, sir, what the doctor said,

what the banker said, what your boss said, what your

companion said. You know the God that you serve, and

that's the God of the Hebrew children. You heard the

fier recyclone them as they heated the furnace hotter and harder,

seven times harder than the engineers had designed it to

be heated. And they walked into that heated cyclone, that

burning fiery furnace, knowing that he was able to deliver them.

What about it here the night? Do you believe God

is able to deliver you? Apostle Paul realizes.

The mariner has predicted this ship is going to be

an artifact, if you would, for the likes of Jock

Christo to discover many years later. This ship is going

to be a height out for small fishes from big fishes.

This ship is going down. This ship is going down.

That's how a lot of people feel about their families,

they feel about certain conditions, they're dealing with, certain circumstances,

certain churches. You can tell the mindset is this ship

is going down. I remember when I started preaching twenty

years ago, I had heard Church of God and independent

Holiness preachers, and they are not my enemy, but I

did not lock their philosophy or the ideologies or their doctrine.

When they preached every service from books that they had

read about the eagles gathering together and about how there's

only going to be a few make it, and you

know what we developed that us for and no more mentality,

and everybody forgot. Yes, you may have to endure some

hardness as a good soldier, but if you will be

a soldier, and if you will be a soul winner,

God will not let his word return unto him void.

The reason why the.

Holy Ghost broke out like it did in the days

of the Apostles, it's because they were willing to scatter

the gospel seed. And I remember I was here for

a year and a half and there was no growth whatsoever.

And I remember praying, I said, well, God, I've been taught.

That's just gonna be a handful of us Holy rollers

make it, and I remember thinking, wow, Wow, I get

to preach to six people for the next fifty years,

Praise God.

And God said, if you'll reach out, I'll reach in.

But it has it come without hardship, and it hasn't

come without persecution. And that's what I want to get

through your thiks, go here tonight. I love you. You're

in a horrible situation.

I give you that.

But with Corey tim Boom and Bessie tim Boom deem

it a horrible situation. Again, I hear sister woot and saying, hey,

you be of good cheer. That false humility is not

approved of by God. That false humility is not approved

of by God. That moping and that poutin and that

pity is not approved of by God.

It doesn't matter what the size of the storm is.

When you look at this, the mariner realize the sheer

size of this storm and the heavy winds and the

rains is going to make it an impossibility for us

to get out of this life. In fact, the Bible

said that they put it this way. The doctor. Heard

somebody say the doctor might have even been on board.

I didn't research that, but according to the doctor, he said,

there was no sun and no moon and no.

Stars for many days.

He said, after day three, they're doing things to the

ship that anybody in near right mind doesn't want.

To do to the ship.

But we see it go from day three to day four,

to day five, to day six, today seven, to day eight,

today nine. A lump shows up on your body. Day ten,

Day eleven, somebody you love dearly has been diagnosed with cancer.

Day twelve, I mean, it just stacks up, it piles up,

no sun, no stars, nothing but pouring rain, until, according

to the doctor, and Paul agreed, all hope was lost,

two hundred and seventy six people cast their vote, ballots

are cast. Everybody but one would say all hope is lost.

You get that ship lopsided that two hundred and seventy

five on this side and one over here. Come on, now,

I don't feel that way tonight, but these altars are open.

I know I'm preaching to somebody. You can be cheerful

in a cyclone. You can be cheerful even when you

feel like all hope was lost. I remember when brother

Philip got the victory. That night, God spoke to my

heart to preach on hope for the underdog. And I'm

telling you we have ministries that are called Hope this

and Hope that, Hope for the hometown, Hope for the homeless.

Are y'all with me?

But I never would have expected that I'd have to

preach hope to my son that had one of the

most rarest aggressive forms of cancer known to mankind. I

didn't expect to be caught up in the middle of

that storm.

I didn't expect to get to that place.

But I told Sister Howell, I said, I've got to

hold on to the rope of hope.

I've got to hold on to the rope up hope.

Amen, when all hope is lost, then the apostle Paul

steps out, and he's got some words. You all ready

for him. Be a good cheer, be of good cheer.

There will be no loss of life. Well, how do

you know that? I will explain if I must, For

there stood by me this night an angel, and he said,

fear not, and two hundred and seventy six souls on board,

and there will be a miracle for everyone. Not one

person is gonna go under the water surface. Hey, come

on now, day one looked bleak. Day two through day thirteen,

look bik. But on day fourteen, there is hoop. I said,

there is the hoop. Even when the coast Guard is

readling and a rocking, and he's thinking about his master.

When he's in a boat. It don't sink when your

master is in the boat. It is the unseekable ship.

And I'm telling you right here tonight, the joy of

your salvation is your strength.

want to and wonder how God is gonna provide, how

God's gonna supply, how God's gonna take care of his own.

At least you ain't in a rocking and a reeling

ship here the night that's going down in the middle

At least you're not in the innermost part of the prison.

year old man and trying to preach on a broken foot,

the only captain that could tell me to jump on

a broken foot in the middle of that help cyclone

is Jesus. And whenever he told me to jump, instantly gloriously,

my right foot was healed. And if you're ever in

a Pentecostal service with me, you'll still see me jump

on my foot because I'm reminding the devil that Jehovah

Ruper is still the God that heals me, and still

the God that heals thee He is.

Still the healer, I said, He is still the healer.

And I know one of these services I'm gonna be

preaching her and God's gonna heal her that knuckle, I said, God,

it's gonna heal that knuckle. Why don't you just go

ahead and do what God told you to do to

night and be cheerful in the middle of that hurricane.

If you'll move right now, He will deliver you, Saith

the Lord. Mental anguish, anxiety, stress, a cyclone, doubt, confusion,

spiritual attack. I'm not saying depression. I'm not saying you're

gonna back. I'm not saying your sinner, I'm not saying

your commencing habitually. But I'm telling you you are caught

up in a storm, and the only way you're gonna

survive that storm is if you go through it cheerfully,

and sister, sister, as is your custom, you leave the

altar bearing. What you gotta do is get right here

and let these elders, these sisters get around them pray

with you. If it's two or three of you, I

know it's at least two of you, sisters, there's no

more preaching to be done. I'm preached out. We heard

some great preaching the night by these brethren. It preached,

We've heard some great singing. The worshippers have worshiped. I

worshiped with you for about an hour till I had

no strength, and I still tried to deliver what God

told me to preach to you.

You can't save faith.

When the storm gets so great that everybody knows you're

in it. It can get so severe that your face

will tell what you're going through. And if it's the

pastor or the first lady, or the deacon of the deaconess,

or the minister's wife or just Laity, we have all

had to kneel in an altar and say, God, this

situation has become more than I can handle. And the

problem is God interrupted me an hour and a half

before this service started tonight and he said, somebody feels

like they're losing control, and I will go ahead and prophesy.

You walk out of that door tonight, not giving it

to Jesus like Bessie did when Corey didn't understand. It

doesn't matter if your spouse understands or not. It doesn't

matter if your spouse is committed or not. It doesn't

matter if your children are committed or not. Sometimes you

just have to get in an altar and you have

to pray it through. And what you do is you

give it to Jesus. Could we bow our heads and

close our eyes. Where are you?

Is it confusion? Are you trying to find your place

in the world? Are you trying to figure out how

to make things work for you?

Where yet kneeling that altar right there. That's right, some

brothers can pray with you. You get that age, you

look for a job. You get to that age, you

have questions, how will life treat me?

What will I do? Where will my life go?

Cheerful while in a cyclone, trying to do the work

of God, preaching the gospel, spreading cheer everywhere to the

sad and alone, spreading the gospel seed, building holy ghost fires,

trying to do your best and put to the test. Brothers,

let's spend a little time praying for this younger brother. Sisters,
