  1. Take the punishment. Amen, he would pay the price and

  2. take the punishment. I'm so thankful for that. Give honor

  3. to my past here tonight.

  4. I do it.

  5. Admire his knowledge and his understanding of the scripture. Just

  6. feasting the preaching. I'd much rather have heard hurt him.

  7. And obviously we prefer our brethren here tonight, But so

  8. thankful for this opportunity, Amen, Mark chapter eleven. Be looking

  9. at verses one through three here tonight. And when they

  10. came now a Jerusalem under Phage and Bethany at the

  11. Mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

  12. and saith under them, go your way into the village

  13. over against you, and as soon as you be entered

  14. into it, ye shall find a cult tide where on

  15. never a man sap lose him and bring him. And

  16. if any man saying to you, why do ye this,

  17. say ye that the Lord hath need of him, and

  18. straightway he will send him hither.

  19. If you'll stretch your hands tonight and pray.

  20. With us, Lord, thank you so much God for your presence, Lord,

  21. and your help.

  22. God that has been available already this service. God.

  23. Thank you so much, Lord for the opportunity to be

  24. in your house God, such great grace and great mercy. Lord,

  25. would you help us in the remainder of this service?

  26. Meet with us in these aunts, God, for that's no

  27. matters God helpless. I'd be with us God, and one

  28. he help us God, Lord, to say, Lord.

  29. Only would you have us to say, God, Jesus, if the.

  30. Lord would help us tonight, I'd like to preach on

  31. set loose for his use, Amen, set loose for his use.

  32. This thought came to me, I guess maybe about a

  33. week or so ago. And I as I began Pastor

  34. asked us to preach, I begin to pray, Lord, what

  35. where should we.

  36. Go with this? And the the Lord reminded me there

  37. of of this portion.

  38. As we are here upon Sunday, what a what a

  39. wonderful day it was, and as we prepare for the

  40. Easter weekend and all that that entails.

  41. Amen.

  42. There's three characters though that as I begin to read

  43. over these three verses, there was three characters or three

  44. that that really stood out to me. The first would

  45. be later on those bystanders right that if any man

  46. meet you in the way, the bystanders potentially the owner.

  47. If that, if that's what it was so them, right,

  48. the cult and the disciples, and I'd like to appreach

  49. to us on those three people here tonight set loose

  50. for his use.

  51. Amen.

  52. So Amen, we're all familiar with Palm Sunday what it

  53. tells in the story of it. But just for some background,

  54. Jesus and his disciples, they're heading to Jerusalem for the Passover.

  55. But you know, Jesus had already made the Pharisees very angry,

  56. and his disciples knew what Mark said. I think in

  57. the chapter previous it said that they were on their

  58. way to Jerusalem and that the disciples were both amazed

  59. and afraid because they knew Jesus had been hitting around

  60. as some things right, and they knew what was gonna

  61. befall him.

  62. And of course they were his followers.

  63. They knew that they would they would face some of

  64. that persecution as well.

  65. Jesus had already told him that. Amen.

  66. So as they come near the city, Jesus said, he

  67. stops and he sends two disciples Amen, to fetch a

  68. cult so that a prophecy would be fulfilled. It wasn't

  69. just just because he wanted to. It wasn't just something

  70. he was like, Oh, you know, my feet are tired,

  71. Go bring me something to bring it.

  72. No, there was a specific reason.

  73. And then so that's that I believe it was Zachariat's

  74. prophecy would be fulfilled.

  75. Amen.

  76. So Christ orchestrated it so that three willing creatures could

  77. be a part of this moment.

  78. Amen.

  79. And truly he didn't have to include any of them.

  80. He didn't have to send the two disciples. He didn't

  81. have to get a cult that need a permission from

  82. somebody else.

  83. Amen.

  84. He's the creator, right, he didn't and God doesn't have

  85. to use any of us.

  86. It's by his mercy.

  87. So we know that they go, they do what all

  88. as Jesus says, and they come back and the disc

  89. I believe it's the disciples. They put the coats on it,

  90. and Jesus begins to ride in, and then the crowd,

  91. the people, you know, they get work up and they

  92. begin to put out their coats and the palm branches

  93. there in the pathway for Jesus' injury.

  94. And we know that as the triumphal entry. Amen.

  95. So now as well, we'll be gonna look at this.

  96. So there was many mixed emotions, right. There was the

  97. crowd you have your those cheering, right, you have people crying.

  98. I'm sure they believe, Hey, this this is our ho

  99. this is Hosannah. He's come the way that they thought

  100. he had, came right to release them from the oppression

  101. of Rome.

  102. Amen.

  103. But Jesus came right for something so much more than that.

  104. So many people they just see the right, I'm gonna

  105. come to the altar and I'm gonna be delivered of

  106. this so that this doesn't plague me anymore.

  107. But it's so much more than just that.

  108. Well, when you realize that that eternity, right, it's so

  109. much more than just.

  110. Your immediate fix or your immediate health. Right. Amen, Loujah, helujah.

  111. Jesus came to do so much more.

  112. He came that prophecy would be fulfilled and to offer

  113. himself up as the sacrifice Amen, for all in mankind

  114. to recon to reconcile them with their creator.

  115. Amen. God.

  116. Around this time, you know, I really I think about

  117. this a lot. He could have started over. We've heard

  118. that so many times. He could have started for scratch,

  119. who are we? God would love us so much.

  120. That he was in his son. Amen. I'm so thankful

  121. for that. Tonight going on here?

  122. Amen, Mark Chapter four, Chapter eleven again, sorry, verse number four.

  123. We read down a few verses.

  124. And they went their way and found the colt tied

  125. by the door without in a place where two ways met,

  126. and they loose him. And certain of them that stood

  127. there said, unto them, what do you loosing the colt?

  128. And they said, unto them, even as Jesus had, even

  129. as Jesus had commanded, and they let them go.

  130. Amen. So again I may have over looked at but

  131. I don't.

  132. Know that scripture explicitly says that this bystander or these bystanders,

  133. if they were an owner or what have you.

  134. But I believe that it could be likely. Amen.

  135. But the point I want to make here tonight is

  136. that it matters that they they chose to stand by,

  137. and they allowed Christ's will to be carried out.

  138. Without any interference. Amen.

  139. How many times have people they've considered giving their life

  140. to the Lord, they've considered selling out, but others have said, hey,

  141. I'm not sure about that, or hey, it doesn't take

  142. exactly that, or hey, maybe that I'm not so sure

  143. that Jesus is the way and selling out is the way.

  144. Amen.

  145. How many people, we're familiar with this that they would say, Hey,

  146. I need to go somewhere, I need to move to

  147. a specific location, or I feel like God is prompting

  148. me to for a change in my ministry. And people

  149. get in their ear and they they begin to interfere,

  150. and they say, no, Jesus, that's my coat, No Jesus,

  151. no disciples that that this is from, this is from

  152. our neighborhood, this is from our church. No.

  153. Amen.

  154. And ultimately they're interfering with what Jesus would have done.

  155. Amen.

  156. How many times do people begin to establish some convictions

  157. in their life and they begin to lay aside some

  158. of those weights that would beset them, and they have

  159. people come up that, for whatever reason, they just despise

  160. God's word and they despise the truth Amen, And they

  161. just want to cheap grace and they say, you don't

  162. have to live it that tight. Those people are just

  163. running interference with what God is.

  164. Trying to do. Amen.

  165. It matters that we not interfere with God's will for

  166. someone else.

  167. Amen.

  168. Oh, that we would have some more willing Hannahs of

  169. the Old Testament.

  170. Who would willingly, willingly give her son for God's service.

  171. That we would have more men with the faith of

  172. Abraham now, no matter what it looked like, right God, Amen,

  173. that they would be willing to sacrifice their son.

  174. Amen.

  175. Can I encourage somebody that the Bethel bystanders, they'll be

  176. here to cheer you on as you obey God. They'll

  177. be here to get in with you as you obey God.

  178. Amen. But it's the world, the bystanders of the world. Amen.

  179. If we're not careful, you'll let them distract you. Amen.

  180. So moving on, we have the colt itself. The cult

  181. had to be willing. Amen.

  182. Christ wasn't looking for a mule, a stubborn mule that

  183. wouldn't budge. God can't use something that's not willing to move.

  184. God can't use something that's not willing to be pipable.

  185. Amen.

  186. God can't use something that won't Let that let Christ

  187. get on its back and say, hey, we need to

  188. go this way.

  189. Amen.

  190. It's important to pull this out right here. The a

  191. cult is young, right. It doesn't matter how old you are.

  192. It doesn't matter how young you are. God can and

  193. he will use anybody if you will allow him.

  194. Amen.

  195. This colt it says it had never been rowed Amen.

  196. You don't need a four years, eight year, ten year

  197. seminary degree.

  198. Amen.

  199. You don't need years of experience testifying in a service

  200. for you to go out, Amen, and to tell somebody

  201. that you encounter that Jesus loves them. You don't have

  202. to have Amen. You don't have to wait until later

  203. on in your life. Amen, to carry Jesus with you.

  204. This was a young call that had never been written

  205. for with no experience.

  206. Amen. But he let he carried Jesus. He carried Hope

  207. himself through those city gates. Amen. And we carry the

  208. good news with us every day. Amen. Amen. Amen. The coat.

  209. The only thing that was holding him back was he

  210. just needed to be set loose. Brother Samuel preached it.

  211. He preached it already, the lowly Jesus on a lowly donkey.

  212. And I love that Amen.

  213. It truly it was a lowly creature. But it carried

  214. Jesus all the way through, Amen. And it brought him

  215. into the into the city, and it it brought him

  216. onto the where the world Amen, that had been separated

  217. from God would be reunited with him.

  218. Amen.

  219. So my question you tonight, if you picture yourself as

  220. the code, it will you be set loose?

  221. Have you been set loose? Amen? And if so, if

  222. you've been set free, are.

  223. You letting God use you the way that He is

  224. wanting to and desiring to use you?

  225. Amen? Amen.

  226. There's a man right in the Bible. We only know

  227. him as Legion. We don't know his right name, his

  228. real name.

  229. Amen. But he allowed Jesus to set him free. And

  230. then he went and he.

  231. Told hall Alujah. He went and he told Amen, So

  232. what keeps you tied up? What is it that would

  233. keep us tied up? The other service?

  234. You a pastor? Talk to us about our phones? What

  235. the phone?

  236. They so many, so many things that people used to

  237. have to go to so many they would go to

  238. different places for different things. It can all be accessed

  239. on one device. Now that's just the way that things

  240. are going, right, Amen. Is it a is it a

  241. toxic relationship that is keeping you tied and keeping you

  242. held back from from going forward and doing everything that

  243. God would have you to do.

  244. Amen, to be used by God, to be set loose? Amen? Amen.

  245. God knows, right, you know, God knows. And if God

  246. were to show our pastor, I know he would preach

  247. and he would reach.

  248. Because he wants to see you used by God. But

  249. are you willing to be set loose?

  250. Are you willing to be used by God whatever it

  251. may look like.

  252. Amen, hallelujah.

  253. As I thought about the passover Jesus and this side

  254. was there going up to pass over? Right, we think

  255. about Israel and how they cried out to God for

  256. deliverance from Egypt. And I truly love how Pastor brought

  257. out and brought to our understanding the difference between and

  258. the response with the Egyptian exodus and that of Babylon. Right,

  259. but there was a percentage of people here now they're

  260. basically the captivity of Rome, if you would, And there's

  261. a percentage of people who they wanted to be loose

  262. from the grip of Rome only for selfish reasons. Right,

  263. It's not because they wanted to serve God and keep

  264. the law.

  265. Fully.

  266. I'm sure there were some who did. I'm sure there

  267. were some who that was that, you know, they wanted that,

  268. they desired that. But this was issral, same old cycle.

  269. They would find themselves capture. And it's just time after

  270. time with all the judges, with Egypt, with Babon, they'd

  271. find themselves in those situations, and they cry out to

  272. God they would do fine, and then they would right,

  273. they would go back to doing their own thing. But

  274. Christ came Amen for a greater purpose than man's selfish motives.

  275. Amen.

  276. So finally Jesus sent his due disciples the last example

  277. here tonight, and he gave them specific instructions. And I

  278. know Roman's eight right. It tells us that God can everything.

  279. God can work everything for the good of those that

  280. love him, those are called to court, and he can

  281. work it all for the good.

  282. Right.

  283. But the modern church they like to use, has a

  284. blanket to get Jesus to Jerusalem their way.

  285. Amen.

  286. The Jesus gave his disciples specific instructions, and it had

  287. to be done just right so that the prophecies would

  288. be fulfilled because he was the propheesi'ed Messiah.

  289. But we can't do it our way. It has to

  290. be done the Bible way.

  291. It has to be done God's way, Amen, or it's

  292. not gonna work.

  293. Amen. Amen, Brother Jesse.

  294. If you'd come up with us, come up tonight, will

  295. you be a willing disciple?

  296. Amen?

  297. What Jesus told them to do in our day and age,

  298. it seems strange. It seems peculiar. It kind of seems

  299. out of the ordinary. If you would put it in

  300. our and kind of our modern view, if you would,

  301. the Lord would tell his disciple, Hey, go up to

  302. the factory that car that's just been assembled, it's never

  303. been used, Go hop in and just drive off with it.

  304. That seems strange to us. That doesn't seem reasonable.

  305. It doesn't. It's it's Lord, why would I do that? Right?

  306. He that you have to be willing. He'll set you

  307. loose for his use. Amen. You have to be willing.

  308. And as we all stand here tonight, there's a young person,

  309. a new convert, a brother, a sister, whoever it may be,

  310. whom the Son makes free, he's free. Indeed, how are

  311. you using your liberty? If God has set you free already,

  312. how are you? How are you using your liberty?

  313. Amen?

  314. There's been many baby dedications lately, as people have allowed

  315. their children to be giving back to God and they've

  316. asked God to use their children. Amen. Amen, would you

  317. come tonight and ask God to use us he sees fit?

  318. Would you carry Jesus friend? It's the best thing that

  319. you could ever do.

  320. Amen. God bless you Church.

  321. I love you.
