Fascinated By Folly - Bro Samuel Howell 4-12-2026

We felt today. So far in every service, it's been wonderful.

How many think our Pastor and First Letty are deserving

of this time. I was thinking the other day while

I was working, that is probably the two most busiest

people that I know of, because our pastor is not

only a pastor, he works another job. Then he's constantly

picking up sidework, trying to help people in the church.

He's got so much on his plate, so much on

his mind constantly. And I can promise you this sister

how is probably having a good time.

I'm glad for it.

But I'm sure Pastor's mind is over here wondering how

things are going. I'm sure they're praying. They're both praying.

I sure do love them. I tell you that song

they saying, I never shall forget the Day, That's always

been my favorite song. When I was a little kid,

I didn't have my day yet, per se, but I

can't forgetting my day for sure. I remember that it

was the night Brother Jesse received the Holy Ghost. I

can tell you what I was wearing when I went home,

or what I wore a church that night. I was

on a Wednesday night. I was sick, me and my

family sat there on that back pew, the very back pew,

and Brother Jesse started praying. Brother hawl or pastor sorry,

called Brother Nathaniel and his family up here, asked for

y'all all know the story. Standing over there, I watched

Forether Jesse get the Holy Ghost, and conviction hit me

so hard, and I went home that night I was

sicker than a dog. I had a terrible fever. I

don't know if it was COVID or what. And I

grabbed a blanket. I know they say you're you know,

when you're sweating with a fever, I think you're not

supposed to cover up. You' supposed to just kind of

let it go, let it ride. But I put on

a long sleeve shirt, I put on the thickest pair

of pants hecks. I was freezing cold but pouring sweat

at the same time putting my socks on, grabbed a

blanket and went to the couch with a determination that

whenever I got down, that I wasn't gonna get up

the same.

And that's what a lot of people.

You need to have an experience with God, that whenever

you get down, that you go to the altar with

a determination that when I get up, I'm gonna be different.

I'm gonna be changed, and the things that I once

loved i'm gonna hate, and the things I once hate

I'm gonna love. And your life will be forever changed.

I'm forever changed because of God's instilling a determination of

me being sick and tired of that miss But I

do want to say, I miss our pastor in the

first Lady, you can be turning to the Book of

First Samuel, chapter twenty five. I miss my pastor and

I miss my pastor's wife.

I loved them dearly.

It was a pleasure and an honor to be raised

in their house and watch them be the godly examples

that they have been, not only for our families, but

everybody that attends this church. They remain the same. That's

hard to say about most people in this day and

a that we live. Seeing old preachers, they got older,

they started letting up on their beliefs, they started letting

their wives wear shorter skirts. But I'm thankful for a

pastor that still believes it twenty years ago or twenty

years later, like you did in the beginning when I

was a kid. You know, that creates a lot of

confusion for people whenever they do that. But I'm so

thankful to have a pastor and a pastor's wife that

cares for the flock. Uh. We got a little bit

of lengthy reading here. Appreciate your giving. I do want

to say that little bit of lengthy leaving here. We're

gonna be kind of jumping through this chapter here, but

let's all stand here with the reverence of the word.

We'll begin reading. You just kind of fall along with

me and jump through here.

First Samuel, chapter twenty five, verse one, And Samuel died,

and Israel were gathered together and lamented him and buried

him in his house at Rama. And David arose and

went down to the wilderness of Piren. And there was

a man in Mayon whose possessions were in Carmel. And

the man was very great, and he had three thousand

sheep and a thousand goats, and he was shearing his

sheets and Carmel. Now the name of this man was Nabel,

and the name of his wife Abigail. She was a

woman of good understanding and of a beautiful countenance. The

man was churlish and evil in his doings, and he

was of the house of Caleb. Now flip over to

chapter reverse ten. Like I said, we'll be jumping through here.

And Nabel answered David's servants and said, who is David,

who is the son of Jesse. There'd be many servants

nowadays that break away every man from his master. Then thirteen,

and David said, unto his men, gird ye everyone his sword.

And they girded everyone, every man his sword. And David

also girded his sword. And there were about four hundred

men and two hundred men, and abode by the stuff.

But one of the young men told Abigail, Nable's wife, saying, behold,

David sent messengers of the out of the wilderness to

salute our master, and he reiled upon them. Then jumping

over to verse seventeen. Now therefore, consider what thou wilt do,

for evil is determined against our master and against all

his household, for he is such a son of Belial

that men cannot speak to him. Then Abigail made haste

and took two hundred loaves and two bottles of wine,

and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched corn,

and a one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred

cakes of figs and laid them upon asses twenty one.

And David said, surely in vain, I have kept that

this fellow, all that this fellow had in the wilderness,

so that nothing was missed, and all that pertaineth unto

him hath ree rep and he hath recruit required requited

me for evil for good, with evil for good verse

twenty three. And when Abigail saw David, she hasted and

lighted off the ass, and fell before David on her face,

and bowed herself unto the ground verse twenty five. Let

my Lord, I pray thee regard this man to belie

even Mabel he for he for as his name is,

so is he. Nabel is his name, and folly is

with him. But I am thy handmaid, saw not the

young and I saw not the young man of my lord,

whom thou didst Sinse thirty one. That this shall be

no grief unto the nore offense of the heart and

to my Lord, either that thou hast shed blood causeless

that my Lord hath avenged himself. But the Lord shall

have dealt with with my lord. And remember thy handmaid

and David's that unto Abigail. Blessed be the Lord God

of Israel, which has sent thee unto me this day,

and blessed be thy advice. And bless blessed be Thou,

which hath kept me this day from she causing to

shed coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with

mine own hand for very for in veried deed, as

the Lord God of Israel, liveth which hath kept me

back from hurting thee, except thou hast hasted.

To come unto me, Come to me.

Surely there had been been left unto Mabel by the morning,

had not been been left unto Nabel by morning anything

that pisces against the wall. So David received her hand

that which was that which she had brought up to him,

and said, unto her, go in peace and not house.

See I have hearkened to thy word and accepted thy person.

Almost done here Verse number thirty seven. And it came

to pass in the morning when the wine was gone

out of Mabel, and his wife told him before these

told him these things, that his heart died within him,

and he became a stone. And it came to pass

about ten days after the Lord smoteable that he died.

Lift your hands and ask God to help us here tonight,

God of Heaven. We plead with you, Lord, Jesus God,

to touch us, God, to pour ourt your spirit.

God.

I ask you, Lord, I plead for anointing that comes

from God. Lord, Lord, that only you can help us

God and lead us. God and God Us God, help

me to say the words that you would have me

to say. God, I asked that you would touch your

heart and a life.

God.

Let someone leave here helped and change God in a

hunger and a desire for the things of God. God,

and to progress, Lord God, and go on unto Christ,

Lord our Savior. Lord, and well, thank you God, and

we'll give you the praise God, and we'll give you

the glory Lord, and Jesus' name.

We pray a man and an a man.

Now Here in this text, David just left the burial

of the profit of Samuel, who no doubt he loved

dearly and depended on in his life. He was at

this time he was probably tired from travel because this

is also in the same timeframe where he has been

running from Saul, and he just left from hiding in

the caves, and he just cut off the little piece

of off, a little off a saut skirt there, and

they hear of Samuel's death. And he goes there, and

he's on his way back, and he's no doubt he's tired,

and he's probably wore out and from running and hiding

for his life's sake, and he finds this man enables

flocking stuff out there in the fielding out there. You know,

he's a shepherd, so he knows what it's like he sees,

and he heads to piring the wilderness, and as being

a shepherd like he once was, he knows the dangers

of robbers and thieves, and so he offers his security

freely to this man. Yeah, I know, Nabel didn't necessarily

ask for it. Well, he didn't ask for it, but

David just went ahead and gave it to him. And

he sends his ten young men there and he tries

to get a little He tells them of all how

he protected them and how he tried to take care

of him, and how while he was there there was

no harm done to the shepherds and nothing was lost.

But Nabel's such a man of greed, you know, he said,

he pretty much told him, he said, I don't care

who's David?

You know, who's the son of Jesse.

I didn't ask for that help, so I'm not gonna

give you anything. And for a little bit of a

backstory here, Nabel is the son. It says in there

he is the son of the house of Caleb. So

he inherited. Some Bible scholars and some commentators believe that

this land that he now has and these goats that

he now has in the sheeps are an inheritance of Calebs.

And so this man isn't even the one God. He

didn't even get this from his hard labor. But yet

he won't even give that to someone. David didn't ask

for a thousand goats, he didn't ask for three thousand sheep.

He just went there in hopes that he can get

something in order to sustain life and to receive strength again.

And I'm sure.

David is upset at this time, and motions are high

because he was supposed to be headed towards the kingdom.

But he's respecting the man of God like he should.

God's anointed. So and when this man tells him, who

tells this ten servants?

No, who's David?

I'm sure emotions kind of got the best of him,

and he said, who is this man to defy me?

And you know, he's dealing with a lot.

And so he decides, with his own power and with

his authority, he's gonna go and take everything that this

man has. Forget that he has that he wants, a

little kid or a little goat, this is what he wants.

And so he goes.

But then and he's met by the way of Abbogail,

Nabel's wife, someone who has good understanding the Bible, says,

someone that realizes, Hey, this is David that is coming

after Nabel has messed up.

This is David.

I know for a fact it has been noised abroad

of how David was going from city to city conquering

and conquering and defeating. And she realized that, says, hey,

Nabel's life is now at risk, and I gotta do

something about it.

Thank God for the young man that came to her and.

Said, hey, our lives are at risk. Our master's life

is at risk. We have to do something about this.

And so she makes haste, it says, and she grabs

everything she can grab, and she tears off at dream

and the servant goes with her and thank God for

her good understanding, and she convinces David.

She says, don't do this.

Here's here's a little meat, here's some drinks, here's some figs,

here's something to eat. I pray, don't my Lord let

him live. And she prolongs the life of Nabel. But

we all know how it goes on further into the story.

She gets back from this, and there he is. It

says in there that he is having a feast as

of a king. He's having a feast like a king.

So maybe, perhaps, if you will, the reason why he

didn't want to give David any meat because he had

this party planned and he didn't want to spare, because

he wanted all his friends to come over and all

his friends to enjoy of his wealth and his riches.

And so I can see old Nabel now as he's walking,

maybe has a staker a lamb chomp in his hand,

and and he's laughing, and he's playing with all his friends,

having a good time. It says he was drunk. And

he sits there laughing, and old Abigail standing in the doorway,

probably worn out from traveling, just makes it. And she

sees him telling the story to all his friends about

he told the ten young men of David off. And

she don't And he don't even realize that she just

prolonged his life, from his folly, from him acting reckless,

from him being, if you will, a little bit stupid

and careless. And she stands there, perhaps a tear rolls

down her face, and she says, old Nabel, you don't

even realize what was about to befall you. And I

want to preach for a little white to little wile

tonight On fascinated by the folly. And it says that

his folly was after him. It says, the very name

of Nabel means fool. I pray and ask God for

a praying church. That word fascinated means extremely interested or captivated.

The definition of folly is the lack of good sense,

the lack of good judgment, foolish or absurd behavior.

That fits Nabel to it to the tea.

He acted absurdly, He lacked good judgment, He didn't care.

He was too big.

For his own breeches, and he decided that he was

gonna do things his way, and that's the way he

was gonna do it.

He didn't care who David was.

He said, I'm my own man, this is my inheritance.

I'm not gonna give any man of what has been

given to me.

O God, it said Nabel.

Nabel, being a charlish cherlish man, answered, who is David?

Who does he think he is?

He didn't care like I said that that David and

them were wore out, that David and them were tired.

He didn't care that Abigail he didn't know at the moment,

but he didn't care. He's having a party of his life.

He was living the best of his life right now.

So he didn't care that Abigail went out. He didn't

even know, it said. She didn't even tell him. She

just left, and she made hasten pleaded for the very

life of her own husband. She says this in an emergency,

And how many times have we seen our pastor pull

and plead and in her seat on the behalf and

stay the hand of God on the behalf of our

young people, on the behalf of our little children. Because

he knew that we messed up, and we told the

wrong person. No, we told God, no, I'm not gonna

give what I haven't.

To thee Jesus.

Abigail hears the news and she knows that Nabel has

just done something awful. Nabel has just signed his death certificate.

If you will, he just told the wrong man. No,

he just told David, the very man that has run

from city to city and always coming out victorious. Thank

God for a woman of God who can prolong the

life of her husband. Now, this absurd behavior that he

has is something that could have very well ended his life,

and was going to end his life if it wasn't

for Abigail. Will be a little slow tonight. I apologize.

But you keep disregarding the wisdom and the warning of

our pastor, and you keep being fascinated by the things

of this world, whether it be rebellion or just a

real quick feel good time. You want to show off

to your friends of what you can do, how you

can handle something, and how you can go about your

life being your own man. You're finally of age now

that you can do things your way. You finally grew

up now. In my parents' house, age didn't mean anything.

If you were under the rule, you were under the authority.

If you were under that house, you were under that authority.

And he better not have had to tell you twice.

There was a one time thing in our family's house.

It was mentioned one time, and that better been all

it took, or there was gonna be severe consequences.

And Abigail knew.

Because he messed up this one time, there's gonna be

severe consequences.

He told the man of God.

No, he told him, No, I'm not gonna heed that. No,

I'm not gonna listen to that warning. I know a

pastor has warned us, but I'm gonna ignore it. I'm

gonna keep on living the life that I wanna live.

Nab It was a selfish and greedy man. He said,

this is mine. But hang on a minute, Nabel, you

inherited this.

This ain't one, This ain't God.

You haven't gotten this by your own blood, sweating tears.

This is an inheritance. You haven't been the one that

labored all night long. You haven't been the one that

wandered in the wilderness.

You wasn't the one that wouldn't spit out the enemy.

God help us.

You walk around carelessly with your head up in the air,

acting like you're somebody, acting like you don't have a

care in the world.

But you don't even realize how hard. Your mother, your father, and.

Your pastor has worked for the inheritance that you have,

for the ability to come into a health of God.

Abigail returns home, and this man is enjoying life like

a king, while David and his men are making hasty tracts.

David himself probably had plans on laying hands on him,

because it said he told every man to gird his sword,

and it said David girded his sword.

I don't know.

Perhaps David was carrying the sword of Goliath. You never

know what sword he had, But nevertheless, David was skilled

with that sword. And it because of Navid's stupidity, and

because of Nabel's reckless behavior, and because of Nabel's reckless tongue,

and because of the pride that he had, and the

fault that he said, no, I'm my own man, nobody

tells me what to give.

I've sit d sheep, I've killed these goats. This is

my meat.

And he because of that foolishness, David wasn't only coming

to mess with Nabel and to take the life from Nabel.

He was coming after everything. And Nabel had all of

his land, all of his possessions.

He was planned to destroy him.

Once and for all, and that without remedy, he was

going to make a mark.

He was going to prove a point.

And the devil plays for Keeves when he comes, he

comes to steal to kill, had to destroy. Maybe David

perhaps on getting some food for him, but he had

a purpose in mind, and that was to destroy the

rebellion of Nabel. He wasn't going to be defied. He

didn't want it to be noised abride that.

This man to fight David. He knew that he had

to be a king. He was said to be the king.

He just lost Samuel, someone that he no doubt was

gonna rely on whenever he became king.

He was already relying on Samuel right now.

Your decisions that you make, you may think only affects you.

Rules are not put in place to cause us from

having fun. Every rule that has been established and put

in place has been put in place because one someone

has gotten hurt from it, Two it keeps you out

of harm's way, and three someone has most likely died

because of it. The reason why speed limits are on

the road, it's not because they don't want you to

go to the racetrack and have a good time and

speed where there isn't a speed limit. It's because of

your actions are gonna result in someone dying, You killing

the innocent life of someone, because you have.

No governor on your own self. You have no self control.

Every time you get behind in the wheel, you have

a desire to rip uff and down the road.

That is a reckless lifestyle. That is no different than Mabel.

Every time you get behind your spiritual or physical car

half your pastor.

Has warned us, you throw it in gear and you say,

let her drive.

This is my meat, this is my body. I can

do what I want to do. You keep living that

life and that foolish lifestyle, with that absurd behavior.

The Bible says those.

That live by the sword dies by the sword.

A sword is to be respected, whether it be.

Something small or something great, it is to be respected.

A gun is to be respected. A vehicle is to

be respected. Whatever life has our way, and it's some

type of transportation, whatever it is, it's to be respective.

That thrill that you love, that thrill that you get,

will one day be the very thing that takes your life.

Our pastor preaches to us every service with a burden.

One of the most communicative people I've ever met. Me

and brother Philip have some people at work, some corporate

people that do not communicate whatsoever. The side director, he

is the side director. I'm next to him, and we

have clients come to work and they look and see

about housing some of their animals at our place. And

almost every time, without fail, they tell us something that

corporate if you will, or upper management has told them

for gospel at our site. And then we look like

idiots because we say we don't know anything about that,

we haven't heard anything about that. What I'm saying is

our pastor communicates on every level. It doesn't matter if

he's communicating from the pulpit or from his parsonage.

Our pastor content.

Access daily and if you if he had something that

he knows for fact, God has given it to him

for you specifically, he doesn't sit on it. He says,

I gotta get this to them with haste. Abigail said,

I gotta get there with haste. I gotta cut him

off before he walks through the front gates, because the

moments he sees the house in sight, he's gonna charge

and there's gonna be no way to stop him. Once

he's coming in with those four hundred men. You ain't

gonna be able to stop him, Abigail. That's why she said,

there's an urgency. I gotta get to him. Our pastor

comes to the pulpit with an urgency every service, and

he says, they're gonna kill themselves if I don't get

to him.

I gotta stop the head.

He comes with urgency every service, whether it's for me,

for the oldest person in the bill or the youngest child. God,

and our Pastor gives us instruction for the betterment of

our life. And it's you that keeps deciding whether you

hear it, you heed it, or you ignore it.

Ignore it.

Proverbs six twenty six and eleven says, as a dog

return it to his vomit, so a fool return it

to his folly. Every time you hear the warning, go

forth that is sounded from our pastor, who has been

given it to.

It by God. This is just not something that he

conjured up. It's not something that he thought of.

It's instruction and correction and discipline Heaven by God Almighty,

for the betterment of your own life. But every time

you do that and you ignore it, you're just like

the dog that returns to its vomit and you begin

to stoop down and let it up again. I don't

know about you, but that's one of the nastiest things

I've ever witnessed.

Is a dog that hurls.

Up whatever it was that caused it to be sick,

and then it sits there and knows good and well

that caused me to vomit, that caused me to get hell,

But here it eats of it again. You go back

to it, knowing good and well, you're gonna experience the

same results. You're gonna feel sick again, you're gonna fall again.

But then, like a dog, you stoop down and you

gobble it up. Hell could you? That is one of

the nastiest, nastiest things that any animal can do. Every

time I think about it, it makes me feel sick

because it's just mush, it's filed, it's garbage, and that

dog knows good and well that probably five minutes from

now I've seen it. They puked it up, they hate it,

They walk three steps, they throw it up again, they

eat it, they walk on, they throw it up again.

That is not what God has in plant her store

for you.

He wants you to get rid of that mess, get

rid of that reckless lifestyle, get rid of that folly

that you keep going through. Get rid of it and

has the captivity hold on you.

You are drawled by it, you are pulled by it.

It's time to lead that folly behind, because sooner or later,

your folly will lead to your destruction. Oh God, Saul

thought he could do things his own way. Your way,

and your reckless lifestyle will lead to ruin. You're having

the time of your life. You don't even realize the

hurt and the harm that awaits you when you finally

break through that barrier. Abigail prolonged the life of Mabel.

She went to him and she told him said, Mabel,

I'm just paraphrasing here. You're not going to believe who

I just stopped on the way coming. That man that

you sent away had four hundred men with him. He

had plans on killing you, and not only you, plans

on killing me.

I believe.

David said somewhere in there to Abigail, something about hurting her.

Let me find it here, o, God, yeah, right here

in verse thirty four, for in very deed, as the

Lord God of liveth which have kept me back from

hurting thee. David was coming after the whole house. He

didn't plan on let anybody stop him. The devil is

planning on coming after your whole house. The devil ain't

gonna stop with a little hurt. He's gonna make sure

that he causes you much pain. And whenever he does,

it's not gonna only calls you pain, but those that

are around you will be affected by it. We nay,

we may not physically be hurt by it, but we

could very well be spiritually.

Or emotionally.

There's nothing more hurtful than seeing someone who has served

God for so long walk away and turn and walk

away from God.

You don't even realize that hurt and harm awaits you. David.

It says there he came at a good day. He

came to ask Nabel at a good time. Pastor has

always acted at the right time. And I read in

in in Matthew Henry commentary, it says there that what

is meaning by David came at a good day and

a good time. Nabel owned the sharers. He that that

was his business, sharing sheep and stuff. And it says

that he came whenever he had plenty hands to spare.

So it wasn't going to hinder Nabel's work. It was

gonna be very easy for him to say, hey, so

and so, go fetch one of them for David. But

it had such a spirit of greed on him, such

a spirit of hatred. That word, that word charlish means

hatred and rude and just a hateful spirit.

And David very well.

Could have commanded them men whenever they were sitting around

guarding them shepherds, and says, hey, we're here, because that's

how a lot of them soldiers acted back in the

Bible days if they saw something. Now I'm not talking

about the people of God, but most of the time

them soldiers and the warriors, whenever they were out in battle, if.

They saw something, they took it. That was theirs.

It could have been very easy for David to take

hold of that and to take it for his but

David chose to sit it out and to wait and

do things the right way. Our pastor always chooses to

come at a good time, and Wade says, strike when

the iron's hot. Whenever he realizes that the devil is

hot on your heels and it's now whenever he needs

to preach it.

It's now whenever he needs to.

Sound a warning, and every time he sounds it with

authority and power given by God Almighty. And it's up

to us if we say, yes, Lord, I hear you.

Yes thought, I'm gonna quit living this lifestyle. Yes thought,

I'm gonna heed the warning because it's for my good.

Yes Lord, I'm gonna leave this life of folly. Yes Lord,

I'll do it your way. When will you decide? I'm

sick and tired of doing it this way. I'm sick

and tired of this folly filled life. I'm ready to

do it your way.

God.

I need the Lord, young man and young woman. Every

time a warning has been given to you some of us,

some of you pipe up. You swell up like a

tick that's just sucked off the blood of a dog.

Because you finally turned a certain age. You finally got

liberty to do things your own way. You don't even

realize that, like a tick on a dog, God can

just flick you. God ended up getting vengeance on Nabel.

Nabel not only aggravated David, but he aggravated God.

That was God's David was the next anointed King.

David was defied, but also God was defied, so it

says ten days later, after his heart became a stone.

When your heart turns into stone, you are in trouble.

Whenever you finally become untouchable, you are in danger. Whenever

God finally says, I've told them time and time again

through the Man of God, now a we'll touch their

life with my hand. Every time God has given our

pastor the message to come into this house of God

and distress forth and touch you so gently right where

you need to be, just a gentle nurge.

Saying don't do that, and you ignore it. You are approaching.

The hand of God. God Almighty is ready in his

head and he's making preparation to.

Slap you down.

God's hand can not be stayed by the man of God,

which he makes decision to put it in the motion,

just like the rapture can't be undone when God tells

Gabril to blow that trumpet. When God falls on you,

there's nothing that the pastor can do. There's nothing that

the church can pray to change the heart of God.

God told Saul, or told Samuel with no more for

Saul Samuel prolonged the life of Saul, Abigail prolonged the

life of Mabel.

And Pastor is prolonging your life.

And every time you refuse, every time you refuse, God

is angry.

God is angry for with the wicked. Every day Pastor steps.

In harm's way. God help me.

How many times has Pastor interrupted your day with a

warning and you said, wow, I don't even think you

realize he sends the howl, Brothers, and I'm sure he

send it to every man in this church, probably says

quite often.

I hear it all the time, and I know it.

Whenever he's had a vision or he's been praying and

he's been worried about your soul, he sends a message

to us, and he says, be careful around every equipment.

And if you're too big to hear that warning, he

will be the one that has your head down. Has

God slapped it in my bee by an excavator bucket

and my bye bee by something falling on you. But

rest as Lord, it's the hand of God. None of

this is in my notes. I'm sorry.

I just feel that.

When the hand of God is in motion, and when

like a rock he falls on you and grinds you

into powder. Because you can't humble yourself down before God,

and you can't heat instruction from the very God Almighty

that has the power to begin life and the power.

To end life. You are playing with fire.

Oh God help me, God Help me God. The only

reason why we know of this account of Mabel, it's

because of his folly and his bad spirit. I can't

tell you probably the amount of times, and that there's

so much more that happened in the Bible days than

we even know. This is just a small portion. We're

gonna get to heaven and say, Wow, that happened. That's

that David went to somebody's village and he said, Hey,

me and my men are hungry. We're tired from traveling.

have supplies packed up for the entire time. They were

gonna be out there. They were men of war. They

traveled light and fast. They had to get from one

place to the other. But I'm sure there was other

times that people that David sent people, and they come

back with their arms.

Full saying, they said, oh it's for David. Oh take

But because of Nabel's foul spirit, and because of his folly,

it's the reason why he made it in the Bible.

You might be making a respitation for your own self,

we don't live a life of folly as a saint

of God, we don't live a careless life. We go

every day saying, God, help me not to have absurd behavior,

God help me not to do this. It is through

God God that we live, and is by the very

power of God that we're even still alive at this moment.

Every breath given to us, your next breath that's given

to you. The only reason why you breathe, it is

because God allowed it. And for you to live a

foolish lostyle while living on the mercies of.

God is a dangerous, dangerous, dangerous thing.

Brother Jesse, would you come to the you know, why

that lostyle that's you're living is fully full of folly.

You need to leave that alone. I wouldn't do that

if I were you, I would use wisdom. If I

You better be careful how you swing your sword.

If it's not ordered of God, or if it's used

without wisdom, and it's used without thinking. You know, there's

a lot of people in this world that have gotten

in trouble because they acted before they thought. Brother in

before he thought. And because you have played with folly

so much that is almost becoming an instinct to you.

where one day you're gonna be caught off guard. You

ever done something, and you acted so fast you said, WHOA,

Folly is a reckless lifestyle. Don't be fascinated by that.

Stand your fascination of that life you live, and ignoring

the wisdom of God and of our Pastor will take

your life. You'll live on a reckless lifestyle, careless. You

better listen to wisdom, and you better respect that sword.

Proverbs fifteen and twenty one. Folly is joy to him

that is destitute of wisdom. But a man of understanding

walketh upright. There's pleasure in sin for a season. I

promise you. You're you're you're having a great time. Oh

you're living the life. You are a man, you are

your own woman. But there's pleasure in sin for a season.

When your folly brings you much hurt, you will regret,

ever ever, ignoring the warnings, You will say, why did

I do that? Why didn't I listen the first time?

Oh God, it's for your joy right now, it's for

your joy. Our Pastor preaches the messages that he does

for the betterment and the safety of your life. It'll

be up to you whether you listen, you heed, or

you ignore. Is there anybody that would like to come

and say, Lord, I've been fascinated, every head bound, every

eye cloth. If you will, God, there s been times

that I know you have spoken to me, but I've

ignored God because I wanted to show my friends just

what I'm capable of. Oh, I wanted to show them coworkers.

I don't know who I'm preaching to tonight, but somebody

with an honest heart that would say it's me, Lord, God,

I've lived a reckless lifestyle. Let's all come and find

a place to pray with an honest heart and say, Lord,

I want to heed. Lord. I don't want to die

by the sword. Oh, don't be fascinated by folly, be

fascinated by wisdom and warning.
